So, let's see if Sam's right in his bracketology...

(1) Nuclear Templeton vs. (8) Johnny Triumph

(2) Diamond vs. (7) The Phoenix

(3) Thor Hammerskald vs. (6) Scott Stevens

(4) Psycho Sam vs. (5) Ian Carlisle

Seed numbers added for my benefit.

I gave you Templeton/Triumph, so that much is right.

Diamond is the (2) seed, yes.

Psycho Sam is the (3) seed because of head-to-head (Week 16, Sam def. Thor)

Thor is the (4) seed.

5-7 are tricky because of the three-way tie. So here's how it's broken:

Tie-breaker 1: Head-to-head against all others tied with that record.

Phoenix (9-8): Def. Stevens week 16, Def Carlisle week 15 (2-0)

Stevens (9-8): Def. Carlisle week 6, lost to Phoenix week 16 (1-1)

Carlisle (9-8): Lost to Stevens week 6, lost to Phoenix week 15 (0-2)

Because Phoenix has beaten both men he's tied with, he earns the (5) seed.

Stevens beat Carlisle this season, so he gets (6) and Carlisle falls to (7).

Thus, the pairings are as you will see below.

<hr>

1. The Phoenix (9-8) def. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (5-12)

* Time of Match: 5:30

* Match Grade: B-

* Winner's Offense: 70%

* 5 winners in the prediction pool each earn 5.00 points towards their season totals.

2. Jack Lightning (7-10) def. Ian Carlisle (9-8)

* Time of Match: 7:30

* Match Grade: D

* Winner's Offense: 57%

* 3 winners in the prediction pool each earn 2.50 points towards their season totals.

3. Psycho Sam (11-6) def. Tarik Nolan (8-9)

* Time of Match: 33:30

* Match Grade: A+

* Winner's Offense: 36%

* 3 winners in the prediction pool each earn 1.67 points towards their season totals.

* This is the Match of the Night (3 for Psycho Sam, 13 for Tarik Nolan)

4. Diamond (12-5) def. Ly Quang Bao (4-13)

* Time of Match: 5:00

* Match Grade: E

* Winner's Offense: 52%

* 5 winners in the prediction pool each earn 5.00 points towards their season totals.

5. Nuclear Templeton (13-4) def. Sebastian Moore (6-11)

* Time of Match: 2:50

* Match Grade: F

* Winner's Offense: 83%

* 5 winners in the prediction pool each earn 1.00 points towards their season totals.

6. Johnny Triumph (8-9) def. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (6-11)

* Time of Match: 8:40

* Match Grade: B

* Winner's Offense: 51%

* 3 winners in the prediction pool each earn 1.67 points towards their season totals.

7. Scott Stevens (9-8) def. III (8-9)

* Time of Match: 18:30

* Match Grade: A+

* Winner's Offense: 47%

* 2 winners in the prediction pool each earn 2.50 points towards their season totals.

8. Thor Hammerskald (11-6) def. Master Imoka (10-7)

* Time of Match: 7:10

* Match Grade: E

* Winner's Offense: 61%

* 3 winners in the prediction pool each earn 1.67 points towards their season totals.

(NOTE: By the time I remembered to post this, I had already figured out limb damage for the season and prepped the stats for the playoffs. My bad.)

Ben Stanton Congrats Ian on making the playoffs. I was expected another playoff run for me or both of us. Since we are friends I am going to give you I bit of help. A montage of Wrestling Legends to train you after all you have improve a lot in very little time. The likes of Nemesis, Louis Figo Manico, Angry Gilmore, Steve Flash and Axxis Jr will be helping you train over the next week Ian.

Ian Carlisle Thanks man. By the way could borrow Missy for the Finals.

Ben Stanton If we can, but I doubt Colt will allow though he is very strict about the rules.

Ian Carlisle It is last show so I doubt he cares that much.

I'm planning to NOT include them in predictions, as they are technically not a part of any season and thus would count as an exhibition series.

I think I found a reward for the prediction contest ;)

I also remember you saying you had a second person in the database in case it's needed. Who would be that character?

The character's name was El Draque, and he was going to be a luchador as a total opposite to Phoenix's Big Heavyweight technical wrestler. Since I haven't done anything with him, he has 0 stats in everything and was just in the database as an emergency (and so I wouldn't have to rush anything later).

Sorry for the brief delay, folks. Had to put the final League Mafia write-up together on short notice.

Here's the opening night of the playoffs.

Season Six Playoffs, Night One

Chicago, Illinois

THE LEAGUE: SEASON SIX PLAYOFFS, NIGHT ONE

Thor Hammerskald (11-6, 41%) vs. The Phoenix (9-8, 39%)

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as the reigning League Champion emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, stopping at the ring steps to lay his title belt on the top step. A moment later, he slams both fists into the second-highest step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he grabs his belt and steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again. At ringside, Tori drops her headset to the table and walks towards his corner, her mental transition from color commentator to manager complete.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our first quarterfinal match of the evening, scheduled for the best two out of three falls! Introducing first, joined at ringside by Tori Montgomery, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds, he is the defending League Champion...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the first night of the playoffs! We're starting off with the 4-5 matchup, with Phoenix looking to advance from the #5 seed and keep his title defense alive into the final night of the season!

Frankie Garnett: Give me a break, Bob. It's a minor miracle he's even in the playoffs at all, and he's going to be gone in short order, mark my words!

Anthrax's "Blood" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Making sure the fans are sufficiently cowed, he climbs the steps and enters the ring, his eyes never leaving the middle of the ring as he takes off his entrance gear.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: Thor makes a return to the playoffs, this time without a manager, and may be a dark hourse in this tournament!

Frankie Garnett: Let me put it this way, Bob. I put a thousand on Thor at 11-1 odds to win it all. If he's a longshot, I stand to make big when he surprises everyone!

Psycho Sam (11-6, 28%) vs. Scott Stevens (9-8, 29%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the former Legacy Pro Wrestling champion. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down the aisleway, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.

Amelia Williams: This is our second bout of the night, scheduled for the best two out of three falls! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...Her Goddess Selket's favorite Arachnid, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Frankie Garnett: And soon to again be the LPW Champion!

Bob Sinclair: Stevens needs to put LPW behind him for the night, as he makes his first playoff appearance in his fifth season, and has drawn a tough task in the 3-6 matchup tonight!

Tori Montgomery: Tough task? He'll be lucky to get a fall against his opponent tonight!

Frankie Garnett: You shut your lying mouth!

A rather non-descript rock theme plays as the League's newest member emerges from the back, striding towards the ring with the look of a cold-blooded psychopath on his face. Behind him, his chosen manager seems to be overwhelmed by the thousands of people in attendance as he tries to shrink into his robe of many rocks and stay on his client's heels as best he can.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, being accompanied by The Rock, from the Island of Alcatraz, weighing 296 pounds...Psycho Sam!

Bob Sinclair: As far as debut seasons go, Sam's ranks up there with the best of them.

Frankie Garnett: Won't mean a thing when Stevens takes care of his business tonight!

Tori Montgomery: That remains to be seen, Frankie, as the bell sounds to get our second quarterfinal underway!

Bob Sinclair: It's gotten chaotic out here, but the end result is that Sam moves on to face the winner of our next match!

Diamond (12-5, 29%) vs. Ian Carlisle (9-8, 33%)

Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as the upset specialist of The League steps into the arena, a look of determination on his face. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans, mentally preparing himself for his next battle.

Amelia Williams: This best-of-three-falls match is our third quarterfinal match of the evening! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: Much like his running buddy last season, this is Carlisle's first playoff appearance and he looks to emulate the run Stanton had last season!

Tori Montgomery: The petition they submitted to have Missy Callistra accompany Carlisle to the ring tonight fell on deaf ears, as even at the nadir of The League's run, Commissioner Marshall still has rules to uphold.

Frankie Garnett: What about the outside interference rule? Stevens was robbed!

Tori Montgomery: Eye for an eye, Frankie. Deal with it!

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond looking to improve on a career-best third-place finish a few seasons ago, and as the #2 seed facing seventh-seeded Carlisle, the edge has to be in her favor.

Tori Montgomery: Not to mention the experience and having Jayde in her corner.

Frankie Garnett: Also not to mention Carlisle I just lucky and his luck runs out tonight. Plain and simple.

Nuclear Templeton (13-4, 30%) vs. Johnny Triumph (8-9, 42%)

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring, deciding to enter on his terms and his terms alone.

Amelia Williams: This is our final match of the evening, scheduled for the best two out of three falls! Introducing first, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: The season two champion comes in tonight as the #8 seed and the only playoff wrestler to have a losing record the season they made the playoffs. I don't envy his chances tonight.

Frankie Garnett: If anyone can stop the juggernaut that is Nuclear, Triumph can!

Tori Montgomery: I don't think even that will work, Frankie. Nuclear is on a tear the likes of which we haven't seen!

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. Behind him, shouting final words of wisdom at him as he strides to the ring, is his manager, who seems unfazed by the surroundings. As they reach the bottom of the ramp, Nuclear raises his arms in the air, causing twin mushroom clouds to explode on the entrance stage before he slides into the ring, ready to go.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Coach Robert Greene, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!

@III- And thus my revenge is satisfied, because I made Stevens so worried about his wife's safety, that he choked againt Sam.

@III- You can claim anything you want, Stevens, but we both know that to be true.

@III- But once again, you only thought as I wanted you to think.

@III- Truth is, I was in Houston, with a Stevens... a Mary Robyn Summer Stevens. Hence the "MRS Stevens" license plate.

@III- She was my 11th grade science teacher and well... we have good chemistry #IfyouknowwhatImean. She moved to Houston last month, but she gets a little lonely sometimes

@III- Like I would waste my time with your wife anyway. Your wife is a 4... I'm spending the week with a 10.

@III- Oh, I also tricked THE ENTIRE LEAGUE. I never needed to worry about my career. I had an agreement with CZCW.

@III- If the League does come back, I'll be happy to be there. I'll hope to see most of you (except Scotty The Choke Artist) again.

Twits.

BTW, re the league mafia? That is why you never, ever, ever, ever allow a no-lynch as town.

Especially going into day 3 and beyond....

Anyhow, I don't see the sense in waiting until 8 to post the championships...especially with Borderlands 2 calling my name. So you're getting the final night of Season Six a couple of hours early. Enjoy!

THE LEAGUE: SEASON SIX PLAYOFFS, CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT

SEMIFINAL 1: Diamond (12-5, 29%) vs. Psycho Sam (11-6, 28%)

Amelia Williams: This is our first semifinal match, scheduled for two out of three falls! Introducing first, being accompanied by The Rock, from the Island of Alcatraz, weighing 296 pounds...Psycho Sam!

Bob Sinclair: Welcome to the final night of The League's sixth season! Bob Sinclair, here with Tori Montgomery and Frankie Garnett, and we're starting with what some have to be calling a mismatch.

Tori Montgomery: Mismatch or not, Sam doesn't have an easy task tonight as he faces the number two seed for the right to compete for the League Championship!

Frankie Garnett: I think he has Diamond to rights here, though Diamond's pulled out more wins than most people would give her credit for!

Tori Montgomery: A win here guarantees Diamond her best finish in her League career.

Bob Sinclair: She's been this close once before; this time she'd like to break through and prove all of the naysayers wrong.

Frankie Garnett: Well, enough talking! Let them get to it already!

Making sure the fans are sufficiently cowed, he climbs the steps and enters the ring, his eyes never leaving the middle of the ring as he takes off his entrance gear.

As they reach the bottom of the ramp, Nuclear raises his arms in the air, causing twin mushroom clouds to explode on the entrance stage before he slides into the ring, ready to go.

Bob Sinclair: Meanwhile, Sam does well in his debut campaign, finishing fourth in his rookie campaign. He may be a favorite should The League return for a seventh season.

Tori Montgomery: That may be, Bob.

LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP:

Diamond (12-5, 29%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (11-6, 41%)

Bob Sinclair: If Thor's not focused on this match, there's a problem.

Frankie Garnett: He better be focused! I'm looking at eleven grand if he wins!

Tori Montgomery: Knock it off, Frankie!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond is already in uncharted territory; can she pull out one final win?

Tori Montgomery: If anyone can take down Thor, it's Diamond.

Frankie Garnett: I doubt that, Tori, not with this much at stake!

The bell sounds, drawing attention to Amelia Williams in the middle of the ring.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, it has come down to this. Seventeen weeks of wrestling and two nights of postseason action have led to this moment. Tonight, one of these two combatants will become the sixth-ever League Champion! And now, live from Chicago, Illinois...IT'S TIME!

This match is scheduled for the best two out of three falls, and is for the League Championship! When the action begins, our referee in charge is senior League official Jacob Henry. And now, the participants!

Introducing first, in the corner to my left. A hard-hitting brawler, he entered the postseason as the number four seed, eliminated the reigning champion in the opening round and took out a perennial favorite less than an hour ago. He comes in tonight with a career record of forty-one wins against thirty-six losses, and weighed in at 310 pounds. Hailing from Oslo, Norway, ladies and gentlemen...THOR HAMMERSKALD!

A general cheer comes from this announcement, particularly from the European feeds.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, in the corner to my right. She is the League's only female wrestler, and a League original. A high-flying technician, she entered as the number two seed and took out this season's surprise and a highly-unpredictable opponent on the way to this match. She comes in tonight with a career record of fifty-one wins against forty losses, and weighed in at 137 pounds. Accompanied by Jayde and hailing from Aberdeen, Scotland, introducing the former Tag Team Turmoil champion...DIAMOND!

The Scottish feed breaks out in a "Ten Men Went to Row" song, as both participants eye each other across the ring. The referee makes sure both are ready, and calls for the bell. This championship match is under way!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I think we're going to have to have a Season 7. Nuclear is by far the most awesome wrestler The League has ever seen and he deserves a championship. That match with Thor was ridiculously awesome... had thought the League's top babyface was going to pull off an epic comeback for the championship so that he could go on to the biggest stage of them all and win everything. Sadly, Vince Russo booked it. :p
