I am the new owner of Chikara Pro Wrestling, and for now you do not need to know who I am. What I will tell you is that I am the commissioner of Chikara and have the final say on the matches and will pass all my decisions on to a man you may know....his name is Wink Vavasseur. Under my control we've had one show thus far and it typical Chikara fashion, you had to see in to truly believe what happened, but my Chikara faithful you are in luck, I will give you a quick recap and then you can look forward to Chikara 2013.

Chuck Taylor and Icarus vs Fire Ant and Gran Akuma

 

Recap- Gran Akuma gunned for former partner Icarus the whole match and failed to get his hands on the dastardly Icarus until Akuma took out Chuck Taylor. Icarus was trapped in a corner with both his foes in the ring staring at him then Gran Akuma out of nowhere nails his own partner with a superkick allowing Icarus to pin Fire Ant.

 

Post Match Recap-OMG!!!!! Akuma is back with F.I.S.T. and the stable is now perhaps deadlier than ever. F.I.S.T. not only pick up a win but a deadly reunion is formed and perhaps new enemies in the colony.

Dasher Hatfield vs Ophidian

 

Recap- Ophidian was as nasty and evil as ever attacking Dasher's leg multiple times before a valiant and brave Dasher would let out an all out barrage while his legs where only at 50%. Ophidian then ran for the hills!!! Well actually he ran to ringside and grabbed dashers baseball bat and got himself disqualified for beating down the beloved Dasher Hatfield with it.

 

Post Match Recap- Ophidian=BAD!!!!!! and also Baseball bats are dangerous!

Jigsaw and Quackenbush vs Los Ice Creams

 

Recap- There wasn't much to this match.....Jigsaw and Quack put on a wrestling clinic, one Los Ice Creams definitely never want to hear about again.

 

Post Match Recap-Quack and Jig are fantastic wrestlers! and well there were no sprinkles :(

The Batiri and Delirious vs Ultra Mantis, Hallowicked and Frightmare

 

Recap- This match was an absolute war with every side giving all that they could including Frightmare jumping off of a balcony on to the the Batiri. Delirious fled to the entrance ramp and stayed there for awhile watching on as his Batiri were giving a beating(One they probably deserved) until it happened.......Ultra Mantis turned on Frightmare and Hallowicked giving each a low blow and then giving Delirious a chance to come in and finish off Frightmare. Ultramantis would then stand on the entrance ramp clearly in some type of emotional quarrel.

 

Post Match Recap- Something is up with Ultramantis, he would never betray his brethren otherwise, especially to give Delirious of all people a free win.

Unfortunately my brethren, I betrayed your trust and cost you a match against Delirious, but you have to know if Delirious and his men never got "the information", I would never have done what I did, I was told I can't tell you what it is, but trust me Hallowicked and Frightmare.....one day this will make sense, but for now stay away from me and Delirious for your own goods.

 

.........after he is done speaking Ultramantis stares at the floor while shaking his head and Delirious, the Batiri, and Ophidian come into the shot and laugh with pure evil in their voices....then Delirious directs his goons and Ultramantis, telling them its time to go.

Awesome, I stopped watching Chikara after their last PPV, being in the UK getting any of their DVDs is a large feat yet somehow I have all of their 2007, 2008 and 2009 events.

 

I started watching Chikara in late 2011 and Ive been hooked I even attended King of Trios Night 3 this year( I live about 10 to 15 minutes away from where it happened)

Let me also explain the point system to those who don't know, in Chikara you must have 3 points to get a title shot whether it be a Campeonatos de Parejas or Grand Championship title. The 3.0 vs Los Ice Creams is for 1 point.

Opening Contest

Match- This match started out orderly but after a couple of minutes referee Bryce Remsburg could not control the mayhem that ensued. The Colony gunned for Gran Akuma in specific finding his betrayal last week an ultimate act of cowardice and Hallowicked and Frightmare going after Delirious' goons. The Match ends when Ophidian takes a double team ddt in the middle of the ring from Hallowicked and Frightmare.

 

Post Match- Frightmare grabs a mic and says this- Delirious you let go of Ultra Mantis and fight me. I know you're not here Delirous but I'll make this challenge ..... my Mask for Ultramantis and whatever "information" you have that made Ultramantis leave us.

Match- This one was an easy match to describe Jay hits a move and poses for way too long giving Colt Cabana time to recover, this match ended after Colt Cabana hits the Colt .45

Match- This one features the beloved all American great Dasher Hatfield vs an angry russian with a napoleon complex named Alex Kozlov, Kozlov showed right away his mma background and brute strength for a guy his size, Dasher got on the offensive with some kicks and punches if his own, not as pretty as clean as Koslov's but effective nonetheless. This match ends after Dasher used a victory roll......well ummmm....to get a victory.

Match- Quack extends his hand to Matt Jackson before receiving a slap which incites a smirk from Quack who blazes the elder Jackson brother with a chop to the chest! The rambunctious and younger whats to come in and avenge his brother and he gets the tag! but shortly eats some sweet kicks from Quack. There is then a recovery from the Bucks and they dominate Quack using the classic strategy of keeping him away from his own corner. Jigsaw eventually gets the hot tag but before he can do damage the Gekido surrounds the ring distracting Jigsaw and allowing the Young bucks the get a sneaky win. The Swarm and the Shard then back of and leave a very furious Quack and Jig in the middle of that ring.

Match- Before this match starts its very clear of two things the crowd is clearly on Too Cool's side and Chuck Taylor is not as good of a dancer as Scotty 2 Hotty. Chuckie is a sore loser about the little dance-off and the match is underway and Too Cool hasn't lost a step and the crowd is going crazy. Then the chant breaks out, WORM WORM WORM!!!!!!! And the fans get what they want but unfortunately its only good enough for a two count as Gargano saves his partner from what would have been game over. Much to the crowd's dismay this match ends when Gargano hits a reverse STO on Grand Master Sexay.

Pre Match- We get a lovely promo from Donst

Donst- Eddie Kingston you are my older enemy, you have whipped my ass more than once, but on this occasion Eddie I am prepared to die for that Grand championship.Can you say the same Eddie?.....You call yourself the last of a dying breed....well tonight Eddie that breed goes extinct .

 

Match- This match was clearly the most heated of the night with chops,punches and everything in between being thrown yet not staggering each other's will or spirit. Donst is yelling while throw haymakers at the Grand Champion. Eddie Kingston bounces back and makes Donst chest bright cherry red and hits a beautiful powerbomb. Its only a two count but whats clear from that is that this match is gonna take all they have to end it. Eddie Kingston hits the backfist to the future. and well.....Donst kicks out at 2.9999999 and his hope is still alive. Eddie Kingston with either a look of shock or a state of being impressed picks up Donst and hits his near limp body with a second backfist to the future and this one is over folks.

 

Post Match- Eddie Kingston lifts Donst off the ground and extends his hand for a shake, Donst shakes then pushes Eddie away. Limping and close to being crumpled emotionally and physically broken Donst mouths the words.....Next time and smirks the way only Tim Donst can.

 

 

Post Show Recap-

 

  • Colt Cabana may crack jokes but man can he wrestle
     
  • Frightmare has made the challenge....his mask in return for the freedom of Ultramantis black and to turn over all his information he has.
     
  • The Gekido may have started a war they can't possibly win by messing with Quack and Jig during their match.
     
  • Too Cool has signed a year long contract with Chikara so the dancing duo is here to stay.
     
  • Eddie Kingston may still be champion but he was taken to his limit and has newfound respect for Tim Donst.

Tim Donst was interviewed about his title loss to Eddie Kingston and his future. This is what he said

"When you lose the biggest match you ever had you realize a couple of things. When you end up in a pool of your own blood it helps drive home those realizations. I've been wrestling my whole adult life, I've lost friends, missed birthday parties and given up my life for pro wrestling. So this is what I've realized, that time I gave up, will never be given back to me. So from now on I wrestle not to hurt people or to be the biggest star out there, I now wrestle to create memories, give my all to my art and body of work and most of all I wrestle so that all those things I have given up weren't given up in vain. What this means for my opponents, if you find out you're wrestling me, hug your loved ones and be ready to give up everything because I already have and you're gonna be the one who pays for that."
