No longer was it viable for a wrestling company to stay in their corner of the country; fans didn’t want to just go to house shows, they want to see their favorite stars from the comfort of their own home. They want television. It’s the MTV Generation, and they want it in front of them, now, or it’s just not good enough.</p><p> </p><p> Founded in what seems like the beginning of time ago, the National Wrestling Alliance, a loose affiliation of companies run by a boardroom of owners and bookers, have the best chance of derailing the McMahon train before it gets out of control. They have in their fold the biggest name in the country that isn’t in the WWF, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. They focus on wrestling, not characters, and are offering the greatest alternative due to their talented and diverse roster, which comes from bringing together all the companies which were under the NWA banner.</p><p> </p><p> Jim Crockett Promotions may have started in one area, but we’re about to go nationwide. But people are becoming tired of some of the outright selfish kind of booking that goes on when only one person holds power. So, in the interest of keeping active the “boardroom” of the National Wrestling Alliance, there will be a three man booking team, with Crockett holding the final say on matters. Dusty Rhodes will retain his booking powers, grandfathered in due to past service. He will be joined by NWA commentator Jim Ross. It is believed that Ross is there to keep the more realistic side of the booking, as well as make sure that the future of the company will be littered with college and professional athletes who can wrestle as well as talk. </p><p> </p><p> But for the third member of the new team, they’ve decided to bring in a ringer. A man who is rather new to the world of pro wrestling, but has been requesting for some time to get noticed in the world; a man who has been managing for a year now in the northeast, Florida, Memphis, and the AWA. Now, he gets thrown directly into the fire; but if there’s one thing he knows how to do, it’s how to live Dangerously.</p><p> </p><p> We are about to take you back to a time when wrestling was wrestling. When it was still real to everyone. When your favorite wrestlers telling you not to do drugs while they were going out and getting blasted after the show was just commonplace. When everyone had a manager whether they could talk for themselves or not. When Arn Anderson still had a nice head of hair. When men were men, and women wore one piece bikinis to wrestle.</p><p> </p><p> This is the National Wrestling Alliance in February 1988, as run by a triple headed booking team, as they chase down the World Wrestling Federation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Welcome to the Jungle.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/NWA/nwa.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll read this, Im pretty much running with the same promotion as you (MACW) only 5 years earlier. Don't worry. I'm still planning on doing my 1996-2005 game but I need a bit of a break. I always come back to it.</p><p> </p><p>

Using Shawn Michaels 82's 2012 mod I'm looking at going back in time almost two years and trying to prevent TNA from landing in its current situation using the power of time travel and hindsight. What's my overall goal?</p><p> </p><p>

Its simple. We kill the WWE.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Any input and thoughts are welcome!</p>

Anyone interested in a dynasty similar to irule's cornell community one, but it would be a community dynasty in a real world mod. We would be one company, and we would vote on the mod. Then, the people in would get drafted 3 people randomly (or they could pick them) what do you guys think?

With Christmas Clash in the books several days ago, we have received a shocker here at Promotion Wars. The main event of Christmas Clash featured Jack Bruce defending his SWF World Heavyweight Title against his hated enemy Remo. Remo had not only attacked Jack Bruce in the ring but also on the street while Jack Bruce was walking down a sidewalk. In the match at Christmas Clash, Jack Bruce agreed to put not only his SWF World Heavyweight title on the line but also his SWF career. The match ended when Remo struck Bruce with a third spear and pinned him cleanly in the center of the ring. Jack left that night to a standing ovation from the crowd.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

There were many rumors circulating about this match and what might occur afterward. As we all know, in professional wrestling, a loser leaves the company match rarely means that the loser actually leaves the company. However, we have learned from sources close to Jack Bruce that he met with the SWF's reclusive owner Richard Eisen in the days leading up to Christmas Clash. The results of this meeting were that Jack Bruce leaves SWF following Christmas Clash. He has agreed not to sign with Total Championship Wrestling or United States Pro Wrestling within 90 days of his release. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

So the big question remains: what and where is Jack Bruce heading? Another rumor has him either starting a promotion or becoming owner of one that is existing. With the success of wrestlers such as Sam Strong, Rip Chord and Sam Keith as owners, this is definitely not so implausible as it might have sounded ten years ago. Another source says that Jack Bruce has saved his money from his years in SWF. He was signed to one of the biggest contracts in professional wrestling history less than a year ago. Could this have also contributed to his leaving the SWF? “In this business, you have to be constantly evolving in order to survive. Those fans don’t care what you did last week, what you did last year – they only care about what you give to them right here and right now. I’m glad our fans are like that; because if you’re standing still – you may as well be moving backwards – and if you’re moving backwards you may as well pack up and get the hell out of this business. For a company the size of ECW; we need something different to put us out there on our own – something different to make people stop and go; ‘Hey – did you see ECW last night? You can’t miss this shit.’ The things that we did, in say 1997, that made us different from everybody else are the same things that make us look like a cheap rip off right now. Everything you loved about ECW in 1997 you can watch each and every week in the WWF today but with more money thrown at it; so why would you bother watching ECW anymore? I’ll tell you why – because ECW is forever changing, forever evolving, forever being different and forever being better than the competition. Nobody can stop me in the street and tell me that ECW is boring, that ECW is stale – because we can’t afford to be ****ing boring, to be stale. If ECW stops evolving, we die – simple. I’m determined to go against all the odds – and tell all the doubters to go to hell; because we are Extreme and we will be Renegades forever.”</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">

Here at Promotion Wars, we have been able to give breaking news on everything that happens in the world of professional wrestling. We have more breaking news right here today as we have just learned that New York City Wrestling has been sold from the hands of Larry Vessey to a group of New York Investors led by a mysterious figure that has preferred to keep his name anonymous for now.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

NYCW have been a throwback to an older era of professional wrestling. The company was created in 1988 by retired wrestler Derek 'The Stomper' Bradford. The company has made very little changes since their debut in 1988 and their fans would not have things any differently. When The Stomper retired in 2010, he handed the reigns of the promotion over to his hand-picked successor Larry Vessey. Vessey, a former six time TCW World Tag Team Champion, has been in the business for 37 years and travelled the world plying his talents in such promotions as SWF, TCW, PGHW, TWL and CGC all before coming to NYCW in September 2009.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

We have reached out to the now-former NYCW owner for comment and as of this time we have not received a comment from him. We are also reaching out to The Stomper to get his comments on his hand-chosen successor selling the promotion in a little more than three years since he left. But we will keep you up-to-date on the future of NYCW when we receive the information.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

<p>I have a dynasty running here and I have a rather risky angle coming up on the next show. </p><p> </p><p>

Essentially, it's a heel capturing a face's valet and tying her up in a chair, while the heel talks to the face saying this is what happens when you interfere in my matches and other heel stuff before the Face runs backstage and takes off in his car to find her but to no avail. </p><p> </p><p>

My question is am I going too far? I don't think it's all that offensive but frankly I just want to make sure. I'm not trying to offend anyone and it was kind of the plan I had all along for the feud between the two to really kick into over gear. But after dwelling on it, I thought that I better refer this to some of the users just to see if it'd be okay. I mean I have seen curses on here before but thats it.</p><p> </p><p>

Let me get across I'm not trying to offend anyone, anything could be further from the truth, and there have been some offensive stuff in wrestling before (ECW comes to mind, with that crucificion angle with Raven and the Sandman) and this idea got into my head after going back and seeing Kurt Angle and Booker T's feud a few years ago when Kurt was tormenting Sharmell.</p><p> </p><p>

I've written the show but haven't posted it and I haven't written anything offensive in my opinion but the angle itself may be offensive to other people on this forum. Any feedback is appreciated. I can remove it from the show entirely, or I could give a very brief summary of what happened or I can keep it as it is? So, if you can pick from any of those 3 I'd appreciate it. Thanks.</p>

Not offensive.</p>

<p>^</p><p>

My thoughts, pretty much.</p><p> </p><p>

Be warned, though, that people may have experienced a kidnapping similar to this and may find it traumatizing. I don't see it as offensive, but others might, so you might wanna be careful here. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
