Regional Rumble: game thread

You've got some great talent there Jingo.

Sadly as a bunch of throwbacks stuck in the last century we at EMLL refuse to acknowledge that any of your cavemen could be useful in a modern company like ours and will therefore be shattering their dreams by not hiring them (any time soon).

Yeah i'm pretty happy with it myself, brought in a few more Luchadoras though.

I doubt any of my guys would want to head over to EMLL, why would they!? We are Tradition, We are Life or Death, We are Lucha Libre! EMLL!? Are a pale imitation of what a Lucha Promotion should be.

No tag teams or Trios!? You might as well just do away with the ring altogether and all meet in a parking lot ... :p

WINNER: Jesus Chavez by pinfall in 3:53 E-

FCW FREEDOM Fighters

Place: Gymnasium Aguada

2 vs. 2 for the Tag Team titles

http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/4297/fcwtag.jpg

http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1795/kidsanjuan.jpg & http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/2940/islandboyapollo.jpg vs. http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/8277/eldiablov.jpg & http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1172/robreynolds.jpg

The Puerto Rican Boys (Kid San Juan & Island Boy Apollo) vs. The Silent Rage (El Diablo & Rob Reynolds)

The new team of El Diablo and Reynolds put up a good challenge for the tag champs but eventually Puerto Rican Boys did manage to pick up the victory when Apollo pinned El Diablo for a three count.

WINNERS: The Puerto Rican Boys by pinfall in 5:47 E+

ANGLE:

http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/7938/hellsbouncer.jpghttp://img52.imageshack.us/img52/2073/handsomestranger.jpg

Bouncer and Stranger are shown backstage and they hype tonight´s main event. Basically Bouncer tells that he´s going to take the Puerto Rican title off from Russell while Stranger throws some verbal jabs on Peverell´s direction telling him that there´s no way that someone like Peverell has any shot against a true star like Stranger. D+

1 vs. 1

http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9927/hectorgalindo.jpg vs. http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/8451/mainstreamhernandez.jpg

Hector Galindo vs. Mainstream Hernandez

Galindo and Hernandez had a nice even match going but that ends pretty quickly when Leper Messiah gets on the ringside.

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8702/lepermessiah.jpg

With Galindo distracting the referee Messiah draws Hernandez out from the ring and hits him with The Prophecy twice before throwing him back to ring. Galindo takes advantage and pins Hernandez who isn´t even moving and while referee seems to realize that something isn´t right he has little options other than make the three count and announce Galindo´s victory.

WINNER: Hector Galindo by pinfall in 8:08 D

ANGLE:

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8702/lepermessiah.jpghttp://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9927/hectorgalindo.jpg

After the match Messiah gets into ring and Galindo, thinking that Messiah is an ally tries to talk with him. Messiah soon shows that he´s not an ally though as he hits Galindo with another Prophecy before leaving the ring. (This was meant to be Hernandez in order to write him out but of course I messed up badly and had Galindo in the segment instead. :o) D-

2 vs. 2

http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/9616/kingkongkennedy.jpg & http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/2090/oxkreviazuk.jpg vs. http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/6660/kashmirsinghalt1.jpg & http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/3971/kirkjameson.jpg /w. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/3295/maryamvega.jpg

The 937lb Express (King Kong Kennedy & Ox Mastadon) vs. Sweet N Sour (The Sensational Singh & Kirk Jameson) /w. Maryam Vega

This match followed the standard formula for Express matches. They start up strong and dominate the first few minutes but eventually their speedier opponents get more and more in the game and eventually it´s Jameson who picks up the win after hitting Kennedy with The Bullseye.

WINNERS: Sweet N Sour by pinfall in 5:46 E+

1 vs. 1

http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/6108/puertoricanpower.jpg vs. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6029/rudyvelasquez.jpg

Puerto Rican Power vs. Rudy Velasquez

Puerto Rican Power was fighting against the number game in this one as both Galindo and Chavez were at the ringside for most of the match and they interfered a lot when referee wasn´t looking.

http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/9108/jesuschavez.jpghttp://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9927/hectorgalindo.jpg

Despite this PRP eventually picks a hard fought victory by pinning Rudy after San Juan Rush.

WINNER: Puerto Rican Power by pinfall in 12:19 C-

ANGLE:

http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/6108/puertoricanpower.jpghttp://img607.imageshack.us/img607/9370/kidtoma.jpghttp://img405.imageshack.us/img405/7121/akimabrave.jpg

Power doesn´t get any rest as though he dealt with Latino Kings there was already new danger awaiting him as Samoan Wildboyz make their FCW debuts by attacking Power and beating him down. Power tries to fight back but he´s simply too weak after a though match to fight back effectively against two opponents so he takes quite a beating before officials finally manage to drive Wlidboyz away. D+

2 vs. 2

http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/7938/hellsbouncer.jpg & http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/2073/handsomestranger.jpg vs. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/1571/billyrussell.jpg & http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8427/bradfordpeverell.jpg

Hell´s Bounce & Handsome Stranger vs. Billy Russell & Bradford Peverell

This was a close match between four guys who are considered as some of the top guys in FCW. Everyone got their fair share of offence but it´s Bouncer who picks up the victory after hitting Peverell with Damnation drop.

WINNERS: Hell´s Bouncer & Handsome Stranger by pinfall in 13:51 D+

ANGLE:

http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/7938/hellsbouncer.jpghttp://img689.imageshack.us/img689/1571/billyrussell.jpg

Bouncer isn´t done yet as he continues to attack Russell after the match. Russell tries to fight back but Bouncer gets an upper hand and knocks Russell down cold with Damnation. Show ends with Bouncer standing next to unmoving Russell while announcers wonder if Russell can defend his title successfully against a monster like Bouncer. B-

http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/6108/puertoricanpower.jpg

I was at the office day after our first show of 2013. FREEDOM Fighters did go quite well but now we needed to decide how to continue. However before that I made a quick look of our newest signings and why they were brought in FCW.

http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/9370/kidtoma.jpghttp://img405.imageshack.us/img405/7121/akimabrave.jpg

Kid Toma And Akima Brave

They were brought in to fit on the top of the card as I felt we needed some new blood on top of the order especially on heel side. Right now they will be feuding with me and hopefully that will provide them with boost on overness. Whatever we will use them more as singles guys or as a team depends on current situation but the fact that they can be used as both tag team or singles guys give as some flexible options for the future.

http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/1902/paradigm.jpghttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/3518/paradox.jpghttp://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1376/paranoiaa.jpg

Paradigm, Paradox & Paranoia

Paratroopers where simply signed as jobbers as they still pretty raw. They also bring in positive backstage atmosphere simply because they are so close friends and I can always use some of those around. Paradigm and Paranoia will form a face jobber team while Paradox will be heel singles jobber. They won´t win many matches but hopefully they manage to improve their game while they spend time putting others over.

http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/8277/eldiablov.jpg

El Diablo

El Diablo is a guy who will start as a jobber but I have high hopes on him and hopefully he will rise on the ranks during the years. We decided to put him in a tag team with Rob Reynolds and the hope is that they will both eventually rise to midcard and maybe even further. However that´s on the future, right now they exist to put other teams over.

Of course as it often is in smaller companies you got some guys and then you lose some. SWF did gave a contract offer to Mainstream Hernandez ant naturally he signed it so he´s gone. This puts our face/heel divide off a little bit but right now I´m willing to see how things go with our current group before making any new signings. Just when I formed that thought I got test message from Stranger. Seems like SWF did approach him too. I sighed heavily, it´s good for Stranger and I wouldn´t going to hold him down even if I could but to me that means I need to re-think my storylines as Stranger was going to feud with Peverell. Not only that but Stranger was the guy who has helped me to run the booking ever since Shawn died. It was going to be a long day once again so I better start working if I wanted to get home before night. With this thought I settled to my work.

Nice shows Jingo & Zergon.

I love seeing El Pavo Real getting some love. FCW are going to have to make some changes with all the raids.

Coming soon:

http://imageshack.us/a/img545/1731/imllresistante.jpg

February 2013

El Bandido vs Decipher

El Bandido defends his Campeon del Mundo title against the Riddling Rudo. Will the sneaky DeCipher manage to fool the legend?

Hijo del Aguila Americana vs Guerrero Muerto

Muerto came up just short when he came up against Bandido last month but the morbid young star is clearly growing in power. Can he defeat the Eagle?

Snake King vs La Estrella

Snake King is something of an enigma. Will he show his true colours against The Hollywood Luchador? The young man in purple the fans love to hate?

Zebra Man vs Death's Head

Zebra defends his Campeon de Mexico title against a powerful young rudo with a strong history of viciousness.

Aprendiz vs Pyromaniac

Aprendiz managed to beat Anarchy last month but was not convincing. Can he do better against the out-of-control Pyromaniac?

Cyclops vs Anarchist

Cyclops makes his first appearance of the year. How will he fare against the man who has vowed to bring down Luch Libre itself?

Guillermo Marcos vs Daredevil Aero

Marcos (accompanied by the beautiful Delirante) narrowly went down to DeCipher last month. Can he pull himself together against the certifiably insane risk-taker Aero?

Tecnicos

Rudos

[seeing as we're a month in and a little established I thought I'd pop up a preview. Not really a prediction thread but I wanted to start building my shows with a bit more anticipation...]

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/RogerCage.png

The show began with Roger Cage coming to the ring with a microphone. Roger got his usual reaction but there was some unease amongst some who had heard about his contract offer from the SWF. Cage started by saying that while he is appearing tonight, as advertised, he would not be wrestling - he said that is because he will be leaving New York City Wrestling. He said when he signed his deal 'elsewhere' he gave a gentleman's agreement to Larry Vessey that he would return the championship. He says he told Larry Vessey he could trust him and Cage informed Larry that he would return the title at Rush Hour - which brings Cage to now.

Cage says that Larry so very wrong to trust him and says not only will he not be defending the championship, he will not be giving it back. Cage goes on to say he will be leaving with the belt and Vessey will just have to deal with it. He questions why Vessey was so stupid as to expect Cage to come back if there was nothing it in for him, especially when he is going to the big leagues and leaving "this dump". Cage finished off by saying that everyone in the back expected him to come out and thank everyone who got him this far, he says that it is Larry and the fans who should be thanking him for single handedly keeping NYCW afloat, while a bunch of wasters in back steal a living off of his hard work.

As he says this security and referee Michael Bull come to the top of the entrance way and are ready to grab Roger Cage as he leaves the ring. Before they can, however, long time friend and former tag team partner of Cage, Sammy The Shark comes to the top of the ramp with a microphone of his own.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/SammyTheShark.png

As he makes his way to the ring Cage tries to make a run for it over the guard rail but is grabbed by Sammy who throws Cage back into the ring.

With microphone in hand Sammy asks where this attitude came from and tells Cage that he will defend his title, against Sammy tonight! Cage says he doesn't need to deal with this, and since the ball is in his court, he simply will not. He turns to leave the ring when Sammy grabs him and rolls him up.

Roger Cage © vs. Sammy The Shark

NYCW Empire Championship Match

Referee Michael Bull, by this time, has made it to the ring and quickly counts the 1, 2, 3!
We have a new Empire Champion!

While a livid Roger Cage is then escorted out of the building, Sammy quickly grabs a microphone and says that while Cage has done more than enough talking for everyone tonight, he has one more thing to say.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/SammyTheShark.png

He tells Honest Frank that while he doesn't like him, he respects the fact that last month he became the number 1 contender. He says that tonight was thrown into jeopardy by Roger Cage, but he confirms that there will be a main event, and it will feature Sammy The Shark defending his championship against the rightful number one contender Honest Frank.

Ernie Turner on commentary puts over that we WILL have a main event and it will see Sammy The Shark take on Honest Frank!

Andrew Harper vs. Bulldozer Brandon Smith

The first scheduled match then took place and Brandon Smith continued an impressive run as he defeated Harper with an Inverted Piledriver after a hard hitting contest.

Winner:
Bulldozer Brandon Smith via pinfall @ 7:34.

After the match Whitehorse Whittaker came down to the ring closely followed by Mad Mort, Bulldozer thwarted the attack of Whittaker but eventually was over powered by The Boys from the Yukon's numbers game. They hit him with an assisted Powerbomb and then left up the ramp arguing with fans as they went.

Geoff Borne vs. The New York Doll

This match went all around ringside and was designed to amp the crowd up, however, the audience of NYCW are not used to the style brought by Geoff Borne and so were not into this match despite good action. Geoff Borne won with a sunset flip over NYD.

Winner:
Geoff Borne via sunset flip @ 11:23.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/MonteTrescarde.png

After the match Monty Trescarde came out and challenged Borne to a match at the next NYCW show – telling him he had a debt to pay and he would pay it next month!

As the commentary team spoke about the next match, Roger Cage was then seen trying to get back over the guard rail and was heard shouting “It's my belt!”. Security struggled to hold him back until Larry Vessey came down to ringside, he personally went over the guard rail and grabbed Roger Cage by the ear sending him out of the building. The commentators remarked that they certainly didn't expect Cage to be back tonight after Vessey got hold of him.

NYCW Tri-State Regional Championship Match

Steve Flash was not helped in this match by The Masked Mauler's tag team partner Rick Sanders being at ringside, and it was in face that which proved to decisive factor as Sanders distraction proved enough for Mauler to take control and win the match with a roll up and a handful of tights.

Winner:
The Masked Mauler via roll up @ 9:41.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/th_TravisCentury.png

After the match, Travis Century came out to the surprise of the announcers. He got in the ring and grabbed Steve Flash by the hand and helped him to the feet. Travis then looked at Flash and began to shake his head. He then simply left, leaving a confused Flash in the ring.

The Southern Stars © vs. The Ring General

NYCW Tag Team Championship Match

This match was face vs. face match but it was the challengers who were given more support from the crowd. The match was a clean competitive match and there were many close falls. It was eventually the champions who won the match when Harker hit Dean Waldorf with a Stump Piledriver.

Winner:
The Southern Stars via pinfall @ 12:30.

After the match the two teams shook hands as a show of respect. As they did, The Old School Principles came down and took down both teams, hitting them with Steel Pipes and standing in the ring over the four competitors. As they left they placed the titles on the champions unconscious bodies.

Black Hat Bailey vs. Whistler

This was a match off the back of last months tag team match where Whistler teamed with Flash and Black Hat Bailey Teamed with Monty Trescarde. Whistler was dominated throughout the match, but eventually made a comeback. However, just as he stepped it up Black Hat Bailey dodged an attack and Whistler crashed into an turnbuckle that BHB had secretly exposed. Bailey then hit a DDT to Whistler for the pin.

Winner:
Black Hat Bailey via pinfall @ 9:45.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/SteveFlash.png

After the match Bailey wasn't finished and took a chair. As he was attacking Whistler, Steve Flash ran down making the save for Whistler, hitting Bailey with an STO sending him out of the ring. He then checked on Whistler.

The commentator then put over that it's time for the main event, they say that Sammy The Shark will be defending the title he won earlier in the night against the rightful number one contender Honest Frank.

Sammy The Shark © vs. Honest Frank

NYCW Empire Championship Match

This match was by the far the longest match of the night and featured plenty of back and forth action. It was the end of the match where the action really took off. Frank growing increasingly frustrated at Sammy's resilience turn to drastic measures and began using underhand tactics and at one point seemed to intentionally take the ref out with a 'mistimed' shoulder block. This gave Honest Frank the chance to grab the championship belt from ringside, he swung the belt but missed and Sammy got the belt and placed it in the corner of the ring. At that point Roger Cage's girlfriend Cheerleader Nicki came out to the ring.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/CheerleaderNicki.png

The commentators put over that while Roger Cage has been escorted out they didn't account for the fact that he has inside contacts. When she made her way to the ring she just stood at ringside but when Honest Frank got a chair she took action and grabbed it off his as he swung. It turned out she probably didn't need to, as the referee had got by up this time. As she grabbed the chair the referee not seeing the build up went over to here – suspecting she was the one trying to cheat and told her to go away. The commentators put over that she was in fact evening the score and making sure the match remained fair.

As the referee took the chair to the outside, Honest Frank took the championship that was in the corner and hit Sammy in the face with it before pinning him for the championship!

Winner:
Honest Frank via pinfall @ 26:18.

After the match Sammy sat in the ring slumped and looking down after seeing such highs and lows in the same night. Cheerleader Nicki came into the ring and consoled Sammy The Shark. As she did this Travis Century, who had been seen earlier in the night, came down to the ring again.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/NYCW/th_TravisCentury.png

He looked at Shark and this time nodded his head, the opposite of what he did to Flash earlier. He aggressively pushed Nicki out of the ring and as Sammy went to hit him he grabbed the fatigued ex-champion's arm. He then grabbed the other arm and kicked him in the gut. Travis Century ended the show hitting a double arm DDT to Sammy The Shark before walking to the back.

The commentators talked about what a rollercoaster of a night Sammy The Shark had as the show ends.

Nice show 20Legend, although I was surprised to see Flash putting over The Masked Mauler. Doesn't Flash start with far higher overness, and I'd have thought you'd want to bleed it to someone younger? Anyway, I can't wait to see what you're going to do with Travis Century, he's always been one of my favourite C-Verse characters. :)

It's just to give me matches with reasons on future shows - I kept him strong and he got cheated, so I'm not too worried. I also have a terrible habit of having Flash lose, because he's such a nice guy and is willing to put people over :o

The show opens with El Bandido heading to the ring but before he can really speak he’s interrupted by Guerrero Muerto . Muerto claims that although Bandido beat him last week Muerto has learned from the incident and Bandido’s eventual defeat will be all the sweeter.

Snake King vs. La Estrella

• Snake King stays eerily stationary when not attacking – like a cobra waiting for his opportunity.

• Estrella is the opposite – full of movement and speed.

• Snake King takes the first fall with a reversed dropkick.

• And Snake King makes it 2-0 with a lightning fast diving bulldog and pinfall.

Anarchist heads to the ring and indulges himself in a typical rant about how establishment figures like Luis Montero are killing the sport of wrestling. Anarchist vows again to not rest until he has got rind of all the suits and all that’s left is the luchadors and fans.

• Anarchist takes this 2 falls to one when he smashes Cyclops’ head into a turnbuckle and waits for the count out.

Zebra Man vs. Deaths Head

• Death’s Head is all power and resolve here.

• But Zebra Man ‘s flamboyance gets the crowd going enough to take the first fall.

• Only for Demon King to head to the ring and interfere enough to allow Death’s Head to make the comeback – and take the Campeon del Mexico title in very dirty style!

Living Legend Luis Montero comes to the ring and hypes the matches we’ve seen so far as featuring future stars. But he does remind the fans that they’re in for a treat as a current superstar will be in tonight’s main event – the EMLL Campeon del Mundo El Bandido!

Aprendiz vs. Pyromaniac

• Pyromaniac constantly tries to brawl with Aprendiz

• But the purple-masked aristocrat keeps his space well

• Which allows him to dominate the match and take victory two falls to none with near-identical Lionsaults.

• Aero is outclassed from the beginning here as Marcos seems determined and fired up.

• The first fall is a routine powerslam and pinfall.

• And the second is awarded as Aero attempts a low-blow to gift Marcos the win.

Luis Montero heads back to the ring to talk about the next match. He talks about how reluctant he is to even sanction the match but for all his arrogance and vile methods Guerrero Muerto is one of the more talented young luchadors in the country. And he’ll be in the ring next taking on the American Eagle.

Guerrero Muerto vs. Hijo del Aguila Americana

• Aguila is an athletic and tough competitor.

• But Muerto again shows why he’s destined for greatness with a velvet-smooth style heavy on linked moves into impact slams.

• Muerto takes the match 2-1 after a Graveyard Shift (twisting pump-handle slam).

E+

After the match Guerrero Muerto continues to attack the prone Aguila. Very soon he is joined in this cynical beating by Demon King and Death’s Head who storm out from backstage.

E-

http://imageshack.us/a/img41/880/elbandido2.jpg

El Bandido heads to the ring and talks briefly on two subjects: his own (glorious) history and career and the challenges that are in front of him now in Mexico’s most bleeding-edge company. Guerrero Muerto is clearly going to be a problem and there are plenty of other capable, athletic men much younger and fresher than Bandido.

And tonight he has another hungry young wolf after him in the mysterious DeCipher.

El Bandido vs. Decipher

For the EMLL Campeon del Mundo title

• DeCipher starts the match fantastically and it appears Bandido is going to be simply outworked

• But the veteran champion uses his experience of thousands of matches to ensure DeCipher gets overconfident before hitting a beautiful drop-kick that shocks DeCipher 1-0 down.

• DeCipher seems surprised but goes right on the offensive again – only for Bandido to lead him on and then finish the match with his famed Hijack Suplex.

From The Mind Of The Guru

http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx212/Cverse_Rerender/jhd1/TheGuru.jpg

Revolution proved to be a successful show for us, with great action and a full house. Mikey James continued to impress as Coastal Zone Champion, as he and Masked Cougar put on a great Main Event to open the year. Our backstage has always been a great place to be, and that has a lot to do with Donnie J. The guys a real locker room leader, and a lot of the guys look up to him. Californian Love Machine in particular seems to idolise the guy, and I think Donnie has sensed that and they seem to have formed a mentor/protégé type relationship, which is great for morale.

Post Revolution, January proved to be a busy month for the Zone. We finalised a proposed working agreement with the newly established Mexican promotion EMLL. CZCW has historically had strong ties with the lucha libre world, and we see this agreement as a good way of further strengthening our links south of the border.

The tag team of Notorious have agreed to appear for IPW as well as us. IPW represent competition, running their shows in the South-West, but I think the extra exposure will be good for a young team like Notorious. The boys have potential, and getting as much work under their belt as possible will help them unlock it. However, IPW shouldn’t take this as an open invitation to our roster, I’ll be keeping a very close eye on them going forward.

Unfortunately Notorious weren’t our only workers to receive contract offers this month, as Frankie Perez has agreed to join the SWF. Frankie will be at Vendetta, but that will be his last show with the company. This represents a huge opportunity for Frankie, I just wish we could have held on to him for a little longer.

Nemesis Notes: The pre-show was used to evaluate new talent. The crowd weren't fond of Brimstone and Alan Parent. Usually this would mean a swift exit from IPW but I have plans for both workers. Chucky Dorrance took the gimmick of a man obsessed with the 70s and ran with it and the crowd responded positively.

Oh boy. The crowd were not pleased with this match, taking it in turns to jeer at each competitor. Eric Sandretti fared the best and got the win. Lil Henry is joining the enemy and so was destroyed by both men. BB Colossus is on thin ice here as I don't have many plans for him.

Deadly Deadshot defeated El Mitico Jr., Kip Keenan, Lug Phelan, E-Soteric & Ray Snow to become the new IPW Californian Champion.

Rating - D-

A new IPW Californian Champion was crowned after Fiasco Fierce gave up the belt, claiming he was too big of a star to hold it. Deadly Deadshot came out the winner here after El Mitico Jr. did most of the work. Keenan and Phelan were elimanted first due to them leaving for the enemy, Keenan leaving the door slightly open due to his gracious acceptance of the match result, Phelan not so much as he complained. Deadshot revealed his new finisher here, a reverse roundhouse kick he calls The Deadliest Move Alive.

The Night Terrors drew with Coulrophobia after Hellech and Moroi turned on Babau and Pierrot

Shocking scenes came at this match as Hellech and Moroi punished their own partners for joining GSW. Referee Jeffery took the unusual move of abandoning the match. Nemesis, not content with what happened, ordered all four men to go backstage and get ready because after the Hell Monkey/Masked Stranger match, Hellech and Moroi would be facing Babau and Pierrot.

Rating - D+

"The Supreme Samoan" bulldozed Fiasco Fierce in this match, to the delight of the extremely vocal crowd who were calling for Fierce to go to GSW. Umaga finished Fierce off with a statement of intent as he hit not one but two Suicide Headbutts before cockily place one arm over the prone body of Fierce.

TP: So this is the great Invincible Pro Wrestling I've been hearing about. Half of the people have run away. Not because of Frantic Ali. Maybe because of that last guy. But definitely because of me. The man who is going to lead IPW to new heights. I'm the leader of this generation. Total Chicken**** Wrestling and Dick Eisen won't know what hit them.

Frantic Ali hit the ring at this point and demanded that his match start.

Teddy Powell defeated Frantic Ali to become the new IPW Champion.

Rating - D+

A close fought match between these two. Frantic Ali came close to retaining his title until Nemesis made another appearance at ringside. Ali questioned Nemesis as to why he was at ringside but in doing so, left himself open to a lightening quick Motion Sensor roundhouse kick. The three count was academic.

After the match, Teddy Powell promised the fans that IPW was now under his control. Nemesis shut up with his patented Nemesis Arrow and told the 6 deserters that they would never be welcome in IPW again.

Final Rating - D

Air Attack Weasel vs Jackpot Jordan

Xtreme Title

  • Vendetta opens with the first Xtreme Title defence of 2013.
  • The focus in on 7 year zone veteran, and career tag team specialist, Jackpot Jordan, for whom this match represents his first real opportunity to ‘go it alone’.
  • Weasel, as usual, relies almost entirely on his flashy aerial offence to take down his opponent.
  • By contrast, Jackpot Jordan seems to have a better balanced offence, able to switch between strikes, suplexes and submissions to wear down his opponent. This more rounded method of attack sets Jordan in good stead, and allows him to take control of the early proceedings.
  • After a few minutes of controlling the match, Jordan lets his advantage slip and Weasel is able to get back into it.
  • After a fast paced back and forth exchange, Jordan is able to slow things down once again and regain control of proceedings.
  • However, Jordan lets his advantage go again as Weasel breaks free of an attempted submission hold.
  • Weasel doesn’t let Jordan off the hook this time, and he hits the Air Attack Ace to makes the first defence of his Xtreme Title.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Air Attack Weasel defeated Jackpot Jordan in 11:41 by pinfall with an Air Attack Ace. Air Attack Weasel makes defence number 1 of his Coastal Zone Xtreme title.

Rating: D

Anderson: “Weasel retains! Although Jordan had his chances there...”

The Guru: “Wrestling solo is a different art to tag team wrestling. In tag matches you get to tag in and out, allowing short intense bursts of offence, but in singles matches you have to maintain that over a longer period. Jordan has had great success as a tag team wrestler here in CZCW, but he couldn’t transfer that success over tonight in his challenge for the Xtreme Title.”

Anderson: “Where do you think Jackpot Jordan’s future lies, in the Xtreme Division or the Tag Division?”

The Guru: “Teams as successful as Rich & Famous don’t come along very often. They are three time CZCW Tag Team Champions, tied with the Shoot Club as the most successful team in zone history. I just can’t see him giving that up...”

Anderson: “Speaking of the Shoot Club, they’re in action next... where they take on the young team of Notorious!”

Shoot Club w/ Willow vs Notorious

  • This was always going to be a difficult match for Notorious, as the young team faced three time Coastal Zone Tag Team Champions Shoot Club.
  • The Shoot Club quickly settled into their rhythm, as they used submission hold after submission hold to wear down their opponents, in complete control of the action.
  • Notorious had a few brief flurries of offence, but these were quickly put down by a stiff strike from one of the Shoot Club, before they returned to their staple submission tactic.
  • Notorious though hard, but when Marc Speed locked in his Cross Armbreaker on Carlos Barrera, the youngster had no choice but to tap.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Shoot Club defeated Notorious in 7:54 when Marc Speed defeated Carlos Barrera by submission with a Cross Armbreaker.

Rating: D-

Anderson: “A fairly routine win for the Shoot Club.”

The Guru: “Notorious battled hard, but just couldn’t match up to the technical nous and experience of their opponents.”

Anderson: “Surely this win puts Shoot Club right back into the Tag Title hunt?”

The Guru: “As I said before, they’re the joint most decorated team in zone history. I’m sure they’ll want to beat Rich & Famous to becoming the first ever 4 time tag team champions.”

Anderson: “Well all that’s in the future, because right now Going Coastal are our Tag Team Champions... and they’re in action next, as they defend their titles against Flash Sparrow.”

Going Coastal vs Flash Sparrow

Coastal Zone Tag Team Titles

  • Going Coastal came into this match on a high, after successfully defending their titles against Rich & Famous last month at Revolution. Flash Sparrow came into this match with far less momentum, as they both came up short in singles matches last month.
  • The American Flash in particular came into this match desperately needing a win, having struggled badly since the departure on his mentor Insane Machine.
  • Sparrow, a senior Zone member, has recently attempted to step up and help The American Flash get things back on track.
  • However the two really struggled with their understanding in this match, with many examples of bad teamwork throughout the contest. Most notably when Sparrow hoisted Fernandez onto his shoulders in anticipation of a double team move, however Flash had decided to go after Californian Love Machine instead, leaving Sparrow standing awkwardly in the middle of the ring.
  • These communication problems would eventually cost Flash Sparrow, as Flash blind tagged himself into the match... before walking right into the LAX Departure. Sparrow had no chance to break up the pinfall, and could only look on in disbelief as Flash cost his team their chance at the titles.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Going Coastal defeated Flash Sparrow in 12:09 when California Love Machine defeated The American Flash by pinfall with a LAX Departure. Going Coastal make defence number 3 of their Coastal Zone Tag Team titles.

Rating: D

Anderson: “Things go from bad to worse for The American Flash...”

The Guru: “The guy just can’t catch a break. He just hasn’t been the same since his mentor Insane Machine left to go back to Japan.”

Anderson: “Matt Sparrow has tried to step up to fill the void, but that experiment seems to have failed. Did you see the look Sparrow gave Flash at the end of that match?”

Remmy Skye vs The Amazing Fire Fly

  • This match saw Amazing Fire Fly make his zone debut against former Coastal Zone Champion Remmy Skye.
  • The young luchador put in a solid showing on debut, surprising many onlookers by keeping up with, and at times outspeeding, his more established opponent.
  • However, despite the raw speed and potential of Fire Fly, Skye’s experience eventually came to the fore. A mistake from the young luchador created an opening for Skye. One mistake was all Skye needed, as he set up his young opponent for the Skye Diver to collect the victory.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Remmy Skye defeated Amazing Fire Fly in 5:56 by pinfall with a Skye Diver.

Rating: C-

Anderson: “Skye picks up the win here tonight, but an impressive performance on debut by the Amazing Fire Fly.”

The Guru: “The new kids quick for sure, but he’ll need more than just pure speed to make it here in the zone.”

Anderson: “We’ll see how he develops, but I think he looks an exciting talent... and potentially a great fit for the zone!”

Jonnie Perez vs Waylon Walls

  • Another “Future of the Zone” showcase match. These two men picked up a win against Notorious in tag team action last week, but this week square off as opponents in singles action.
  • Both men look to make the most of this opportunity in a match that is surprisingly open.
  • In a classic case of size vs speed, speed comes out on top as Jonnie Perez is able to nail a Triple Jump Tornado DDT for the victory.

Jonnie Perez defeated Waylon Walls in 9:57 by pinfall with a Triple-Jump Tornado DDT.

Rating: E-

Anderson: “Another win for Jonnie Perez tonight, that’s two on the bounce.”

The Guru: “That Triple-Jump Tornado DDT is a spectacular move, Jonnie just needs to focus on the rest of his game and he could be a real threat here in CZCW.”

Anderson: “Well if he can keep this winning streak going, maybe a run at the Xtreme Title is in Jonnie’s future?”

The Guru: “We’ll have to wait and see on that one...”

Donnie J w/ Britney Hollywood vs Jake Idol

  • With his partner receiving an Xtreme Title shot earlier in the evening, Jake Idol was handed the unenviable task of facing three time Coastal Zone Champion Donnie J.
  • Like his partner, Idol has seen limited singles action in his 7 year career here in the zone, and that becomes obvious as the match wears on.
  • While Idol held the size advantage in this match, he struggled to contain the experienced Donnie J.
  • Much to the delight of Britney Hollywood at ringside, Donnie J was able to nail the Death On Miami Beach at the 12 minute mark to secure victory.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Donnie J defeated Jake Idol in 12:10 by pinfall with a Death On Miami Beach.

Rating: D+

Anderson: “Donnie J picks up another momentum boosting win tonight.”

The Guru: “He really seems to have rediscovered his drive this year, after a rather lacklustre end to 2012.”

Anderson: “If he can keep delivering performances like tonight and at Revolution, he’ll find himself back in the title hunt in no time.”

Frankie Perez vs Masked Cougar

  • This was to be Frankie Perez’s last match in CZCW having already agreed to sign for the SWF. (This was not referenced on commentary though)
  • Frankie Perez was looking to emulate his tag partner Mikey James in this match, who triumphed over Masked Cougar in a great contest in last month’s Main Event.
  • The match was a very open contest, with the stiff kicks of Frankie Perez seemingly neutralising the high flying offence of “The Ferocious Feline”.
  • The turning point of the match came when Masked Cougar spectacularly flipped through an attempted release German Suplex to land on his feet. Not wasting a second, Cougar nailed a Step-Up Enzuigiri on an unsuspecting Frankie Perez.
  • Perez was never really able to recover from this momentum shift, and eventually fell prey to the I am Cougar, Hear Me Roar.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Masked Cougar defeated Frankie Perez in 19:40 by pinfall with an I am Cougar, Hear Me Roar.

Rating: C

Anderson: “A HUGE win for Masked Cougar, that surely puts him front and centre in the crowded line that is forming behind Mikey James and his Coastal Zone Championship.”

The Guru: “I can’t argue with you there Cliff, what a way to bounce back from the disappointment of defeat at Revolution.”

Anderson: “Perez wrestled a good match, but he just didn’t have enough to contain ‘The Ferocious Feline’!”

The Guru: “With Cougar moving himself back into title contention the question now is who will he be gunning for? Will Mikey James still be the man in possession, or is zone LEGEND Fox Mask the man to knock ‘The Dragon’ from his perch?”

Mikey James vs Fox Mask

Coastal Zone Championship

  • This match was promoted on commentary as the future of the company (Coastal Zone Champion Mikey James) facing off against a zone legend (6 time and inaugural Coastal Zone Champion Fox Mask).
  • The two men showed great respect for each other with a hand shake before the match began.
  • Mikey James started this match strong, really taking the fight to his opponent with a series of stiff looking kicks leaving Fox Mask reeling.
  • However Fox Mask showed the tenacity that has made him such a firm favourite here in the zone, as he battled back from the beating James was handing to him and slowly worked his way back into the match.
  • Sensing that duking it out with James might end with him getting his head kicked off, Fox Mask tries to raise the pace of the match and take things to the air. This tactic proves fairly successful, as it prevents James from stringing together any serious offence.
  • Things were looking good for Fox Mask, with the pace of the match getting quicker and quicker... the zone legend almost whipping himself into a frenzy as he went to the top rope once again. Fox Mask threw himself across the ring, but he had misjudged just how injured the champion had been as James nailed the flying Fox Mask with a wicked looking Scything Side Kick... if Fox Mask didn’t have that mask on, his head might have been taken clean off!
  • Fox Mask is out, and Mikey James makes the cover to pick up what is arguably the biggest win in his Coastal Zone career to date. As Mikey James celebrates, Fox Mask regains consciousness and realises James has beaten him. The zone legend offers the champion his hand in congratulations, which James takes to the delight of the crowd. The two weary grapplers then celebrate with the crowd to round out Vendetta.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Mikey James defeated Fox Mask in 20:42 by pinfall with a Scything Side Kick. Mikey James makes defence number 4 of his Coastal Zone Championship title.

Rating: C+

Anderson: “What a moment here in the zone! Mikey James and Fox Mask celebrate together here with our great fans.”

The Guru: “Those two deserve every ounce of adulation these fans are giving them. They put on a hell of a show tonight for the fans.”

Anderson: “Are we seeing the birth of a new zone legend in Mikey James? It’s too early to say if he’ll reach the heights that Fox Mask has achieved here in the zone, but a huge win for the young man here at Vendetta!”

The Guru: “Mikey James may feel great right now as he celebrates with these fans, but a long queue of wrestlers is forming behind him. He needs to stay on his toes, or his ‘legacy’ may be over before it really begins!”

After the final show a journalist from TEW.com got in touch to tell me that within the Lucha community we’re really starting to become a bit more respected. We’re really seen as being bigger than small now.

Combined with a very positive balance-sheet El Bandido and I feel we’re in a very solid place.

As a result we’ve decided to make a few changes:

  • EMLL are employing a few more in-ring workers. And some of them are very major names within the sport. I think we might surprise a few people.
  • We’ve agreed a deal with CZCW that should see a few workers appear for both companies. We felt that CZCW are as forward-thinking as us and some of their new-breed wrestlers could really expand lucha libre.

El Bandido has also been quite clear about how he wants us to behave:

  • Although the man himself is clearly still a force he doesn’t want anyone older than him in the company (42)
  • We’re an evolution of lucha libre – not a revolution. We won’t be taking any influence from the MMA craze sweeping the world.
  • We won’t be gambling with our new-found status. We pride ourselves on integrity and wll not be employing any criminals or unsavoury influences.

Nice show Jingo. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a lot about CILL (or the Mexican scene in general for that matter), but the improvement from your first show is impressive. Is it bad that I judge your roster solely on how cool I think their masks look? :o

Thanks. 13 is the first time i have played much in Mexico, i think it is really interesting down here this year. I think the best i can get in 6 man tags is D- at the moment and while i'd like to use more of those matches than singles i needed a higher rating this show. I pretty much judges on their masks, i have to try really hard not to just sign folks on their masks and look at their skillsets instead. I see the masks as 90% of their personalities and i have to try and get the other 10% out in the few angles that i do and the matches, an interesting challenge.

Good shows Zergon & Jingo. Nice storylines in all feds and easy to follow too.

Id never played there before but really wanted to after the revamp it got in this version of the game. Given fog of war theres no shame in just hiring awesome-looking masked men. Theres no shortage!

Its working really well. Must be an expensive nightmare running all those 3v3 matches though. Im so pleased we set up the traditional vs modern rivalry in Mexico. There's a war on the horizon...

The crowd are calling for Parent's head and he hasn't even wrestled yet. For some reason BB Colossus is also at ringside with Briggs.

Briggs takes the microphone and tells the IPW faithful to “shut their trashy mouths and let the real man talk”. Briggs goes on to announce his newest hire and bodyguard BB Colossus. The crowd boo at the fact that Colossus isn't being shunted out of IPW.

Malili Umaga vs Stanley Axis

This match was a car crash from the get go. Umaga bulldozed Stanley, only stopping after crushing him with a massive Spear. Unfortunately that wasn't the end of the match and after another couple of minutes of destroying the young American, Malili finished him off with his patented Suicide Headbutt.

Malili Umaga won via Suicide Headbutt

Anslem Briggs is on hype duty again, telling the audience why his hand picked team of Canada's Greatest Warriors - “The Canadian Wrestling Jesus” Alan Parent and Sky King would go out and show the two “emo posers” in Disturbed and Brimstone why they will be the IPW Tag Team champions soon enough.

Eric Sandretti vs Panda Mask II

What do you get when you cross an internationally renowned up and comer with the man formerly known as Bull Wrecker? A mismatch would be the answer. Bull Wrecker used the power game, throwing Panda Mask about with the bland 1980s style wrestling he uses so well. The crowd didn't respond well to his bland brawling. Wrecker ended the match with a powerbomb and walked straight to the back.

Eric Sandretti won via Powerbomb.

Canada's Greatest Warriors vs Brimstone & Disturbed

Brimstone didn't even wait for Parent and King to get in the ring as he flew out of the ring and onto them, wiping them out. Disturbed, not wanting to be outdone, followed with a HUGE suicide dive. Unfortunately for Brimstone and Disturbed, this left them open to a brutal beatdown from BB

Colossus, one they never fully recovered from. Parent took advantage of this and rolled Brimstone into the ring, peppering him with kicks, forearms and elbows. After finishing with the combo, Parent locked in a Dragon Sleeper. Brimstone quickly tapped, giving Canada's Greatest Warriors the win.

Canada's Greatest Warriors won via Dragon Sleeper on Brimstone.

Dazzling Dave Diamond & Chucky Dorrance vs The American Cobras

Dazzling Dave Diamond and Chucky Dorrance spent most of the match trying to out-sleaze each other in between turns of taking out The American Cobras. Dazzling Dave got the lions share of the offence and the win for his team as he finished off Marvel Malloy with a big lariat, to the applause of the crowd.

Symphony of The Night © vs Notorious

Hellech and Moroi came out separately for this match, still not trusting each other fully despite being champions. Notorious came into this on a wave of momentum after winning the four way tag match last month, and their confidence was shown throughout. Although the crowd were calling for Miguel Rivera to leave wrestling, Notorious took the titles after cashing in on some miscommunication between Hellech and Moroi to hit the Drop Off (Wheelbarrow Suplex by Rivera into a Lungblower by Barrera) to take the titles.

Notorious won via Drop Off to Moroi to become the NEW IPW Tag Team Champions.

From The Mind Of The Guru

While Vendetta proved to be a successful show for CZCW, it was unfortunately also the last time we’ll see Frankie Perez in the Zone, at least for a while. Following Vendetta, I learned that both GSW and AAA had declared hostility towards CZCW. While GSW came as no suprise, Grimm seems intent on stirring trouble everywhere he goes, AAA’s move caught me by surprise. We have peacefully co-existed alongside AAA for over a decade, so their sudden hostility really came from nowhere. I can only assume that GSW & IPW turning the South-West into a war zone has made Catherine Quine edgy.

We also learned this month that our champion, Mikey James, would be joining BHOTWG’s current tour. While this represents a huge opportunity for Mikey, it does limit the dates he will be available to work for us, which as champion is very inconvenient. With Frankie gone to the SWF, we needed to look for a replacement. I eventually settled on bringing in a talented young man by the name of KC Glenn. KC is part of the same Burning Hammer tour as Mikey James, so we need to be careful to book our shows to avoid the Burning Hammer dates. However, when KC is available to us he should prove to be a huge asset for the company.

Resistante March 2013

http://imageshack.us/a/img690/4756/luismontero.jpg

The Living Legend Luis Montero heads to the ring tonight with a big announcement.

Montero tells the crowd he’s proud to announce that he has managed to hire two of the most extraordinary talents in Mexico. He’s especially proud because those two talents happen to be his sons Luis Jr and Gino

http://imageshack.us/a/img266/2359/ginomonteroalt6.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img585/6785/luismonterojralt2.jpg

The crowd (reared on Montero’s reputation and career) are absolutely thrilled and even more so when Luis Sr announces that Luis Jr will be making his first in-ring appearance in EMLL right now!

Daredevil Aero vs. Luis Montero Jr

• Luis looks sleek, skilled and dangerous on his debut with a fine variety of moves.

• Aero looks less so. In every way. Although he’s a decent fighter it’s clear he’s out of his depth against a much better opponent.

• It’s a procession in the end as Luis demonstrates his dominance.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Luis Montero Jr defeated Daredevil Aero in 8:23 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by pinfall with a Flying Forearm.

After the match Guerrero Muerto, Death's Head, and Demon King all attack the celebrating Luis Montero Jr in the ring, and leave him down and out.

Guererro Muerto takes a microphone and claims that the three men have banded together as El Familia Muerto and will be doing all they can to bring down this company.

http://imageshack.us/a/img198/8322/hijodelguilaamericana.jpg

Hijo Del Águila Americana cuts an interview about how frustrated he is down here in Mexico. Everything’s dirty, the water tastes bad, it’s too hot and no one knows how to speak a civilised language (Aguila says all this in Spanish so it’s slightly odd).

Needless to say the crowd are furious and shower the American with boos.

• Aguila looks like someone has really lit a fire under him as he comes out full of energy and action.

• Aprendiz has been a successful man in EMLL but it’s a different story here.

• Aguila scores the first fall using a bulldog and batters Aprendiz quite heavily leading to him being counted out to lose the match in straight falls.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Hijo Del Águila Americana defeated Aprendiz Jr in 6:06 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by count-out.

• Zebra Man is pretty impressive here. He’s a young man but seems to have a future in this sport.

• But the Mystery man DeCipher is just too strong and crafty.

• The first fall is a legit pinfall but just as Zebra Man came roaring back into the match DeCipher resorted to the disgusting use of the ropes to win the match and anger the crowd.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, DeCipher defeated Zebra Man in 6:31 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage.

• Anarchist is the underdog here but didn’t show it as he came out fast and eager.

• The first fall is mistaken identity as the ref awarda a fall to Anarchist after he claims a lowblow (there was none).

• After that though as Snake King redoubled his efforts he is attacked by a masked man from backstage. The attacker also wears a green outfit with a snake mask but there is no confusing his intentions as the attacker unloads on Snake King allowing Anarchist to take a totally undeserved win.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction but featured terrible wrestling, Anarchist defeated Snake King in 8:28 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by submission with an Anarchist's Dream after interference from El Serpiente.

Gino Montero heads to the ring and addresses the crowd.

He focuses on how much he wants to live up to his father’s lucha legacy and how important EMLL is to him and his brother. His poor brother who was viciously assaulted by La Familia Muerto earlier tonight.

Gino calls out Guerrero Muerto and demands a match right now. If you pick on one of his family you pick on them all.

• This is a grudge match from the start with both men clearly fired up earlier events from tonight.

• It’s also a great showcase for athletes as both men in the ring are fantastically gifted physically.

• The first fall goes to the debutant as Gino reverses Muerto into a huge backbreaker.

• But the second evens it up as Muerto manages to force Gino to submit with a camel clutch.

• Coming down to the final fall both men are very much in this but Gino displays some of the famed Montero grit as he takes a huge suicide dropkick and manages to be the first man up to hit his Montero Press on a still-groggy Muerto for the win.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Gino Montero defeated Guerrero Muerto in 10:29 by two falls to one, with the final fall happening by pinfall with a Montero Press.

http://imageshack.us/a/img41/880/elbandido2.jpg

El Bandido comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and starts talking to the crowd about how focused he is on his career again and being determined to represent EMLL as Campeone del Mundo in the best possible light, before eventually getting interrupted by La Estrella. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone about bandido’s age and how serious he is about putting his body on the line, before agreeing to face each other in a singles match.

• La Estrella lives up to his reputation with dazzling speed around the ring.

• Unfortunately for him the veteran Bandido has seen things like this before. He’s seen every trick in his long career and just adjusts his game plan to force Estrella to come to him.

• The first fall is a direct result of this as Estrelle foolishly gets bored with trying to outrace Bandido and comes in close which allows el campeone to reel him in for a routine wristlock submission.

• And the final, clinching fall is classic Bandido as the great man shows street smarts to seize an opportunity. Estrella slows just fractionally enough to give Bandido a tiny window and he does so by locking in his famed Hijack Suplex and hitting it for a huge impact and pinfall.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, El Bandido defeated La Estrella in 9:49 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by pinfall with a Hijack Suplex. El Bandido makes defence number 8 of his Campeón de Mundo EMLL title.

After the match finishes Bandido is congratulated in the ring by Luis Montero Sr who raises Bandido’s hand in triumph. Gino and Luis Jr also accompany their father to the ring causing the crowd to go wild.

http://imageshack.us/a/img846/6272/guerreromuerto.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img856/5504/sheadn.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img802/7598/demonking.jpg

Suddenly the lights go down low and El Familia Muerto (Guerrero Muerto, Demon King & Death’s Head) appear. They stand silently whilst fireworks pop and another man enters the ring – one who is clearly the leader of the group. It’s a man in a famous, feared, red mask and cape – Hijo del Mephisto!

http://imageshack.us/a/img836/7741/mephisto.jpg

Mephisto simply points at the Monteros in the ring and draws his finger across his throat as the show ends.
