**I would also like to thank anyone who nominated/voted for this diary for DOTM: Mod January 2013 Poll, due to problems with one of my computers i may not be able to update the diary as fast as previously but i am hoping to update it every few days. I am also currently working on [thread=523584]other projects[/thread].**

Just want to add that I like how you are handling Larry. I thought he acquitted himself well during this time despite how history now looks back on him.

Thanks, he will be used mainly as a announcer but may be used in the odd storyline like he is now with Sting and the nWo.

what mod are you using? great mod by the way

It's a 1997 mod from TEW 2010 which i updated, i believe it was created by Genadi.

WCW Press Release

Eric Bischoff then stated programming for Nitro is about to be taken to a new level starting after Souled Out as there will be a big increase of in ring competition and less 'filler' angles.

WCW Monday Nitro kicked off with JJ Dillon announcing that there is not one but three number one contenders for the Cruiserweight title, Eddie Guerrero will defend against Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio jr and Psychosis at Souled Out. Curt Hennig then burst into his office and demanded he gives him a chance at Ric Flair, Dillon decided since The Giant wants a shot at Kevin Nash as well he would make it a tag team match at Souled Out, Kevin Nash & Curt Hennig vs Ric Flair & The Giant.

Faces of Fear weren't in good form heading into this big number one contenders match but with Jimmy Hart directing orders at them they shown a different aggression compared to recent matches, despite a good early offence they lost focus and the skill needed to hang with Harlem Heat and soon later the fan support for Harlem Heat drove them through, Booker T picked up the win with a Missile Dropkick.

Hollywood Hulk Hogan came to the ring alone and further explained Randy Savage’s exit from the nWo stating his downfall came when he starting questioning the godfather, referring to himself. He then stated if Savage has a problem with the way he is running the nWo he can do something about it and challenged him to a match at Souled Out, Hogan added that if he loses he will leave the nWo.

DDP has been on and off feuding with the nWo as of late but remains one of the top few baby faces in the company, him and Savage have been battling for well over a year now and when Savage had the backing of the nWo he struggled against Page, so without them he was vulnerable to defeat and relied on Miss Elizabeth to get him an advantage through out the match, since being removed from the nWo Savage has been over aggressive and it was highlighted in the match when he refused to pin DDP after landing a Flying Elbow Drop and instead went for another which cost him as DDP recovered, cut of Savage on the top and then landed a Super Diamond Cutter for the win.

</div>

Scott Steiner came to the ring sporting a new look, he was heavily booed by the WCW faithful who couldn't believe after all these years of the Steiner Brothers teaming that he would turn on Rick. Scott said his explanation was simple, he was tired of being held down by Rick and it’s his time to break out just like he said before the Steiners went out to face Bagwell and Norton last week. He called himself the hottest free agent in wrestling declaring that WCW, WWF, ECW and the nWo all want to sign him.

Bret Hart being mixed with the wrestlers competing for the Television title certainly gave the three a big rub. Benoit spent the majority of the match getting double teamed by the heels who made it clear they woudl rather be facing Benoit than Hart, this continued until he made the hot tag to Bret who came in, cleared house and went to war with Konnan, exchanging submission holds until Hart locked in and won the match forcing Konnan to tap to the Sharpshooter.

This was a good match which helped build to Scott Hall vs Bret Hart at Souled Out without the two getting too physical with each other and it also drew a close to the Bischoff/Zbyszko rivalry. Unfortunately it was not the caliber of match that Zbyszko and Scott Hall put on WCW Saturday Night but still an entertaining main event. Bischoff played the role of the coward very well as he tried to avoid any confrontation until he was forced when Hall had passed out while in the Sharpshooter. Larry and Sting then took turns beating down Bischoff to the enjoyment of the crowd and eventually Sting got the win forcing Bischoff to submit to the Scorpion Death Lock.

</div>

Roddy Piper closed the show in the ring, he said people can now start taking him seriously again as he is no longer a legend that is going to let everyone walk all over him, he is once again the Loose Cannon Rowdy Roddy Piper! He went on to say when Lex Luger said ‘he’s still got it’ that was the biggest insult of Piper’s career, Piper then screamed ‘Luger I never lost it you son of a b****, and if you’re the man you say you are you’ll find out first hand by stepping in the ring with me at Souled Out’. Luger came to the ring and after a brief stare down, the challenge was accepted, Piper then took a cheap shot using the microphone and ran out the ring out the back while Luger was down.

Sting vs Scott Hall

Sting needs to keep the title in order to keep it out of the nWo's grasp. I think Nash and Hennig can look strong in order to start a push toward the nWo splitting off, perhaps not into the Wolfpac but some people need to be looking good. Hogan wins because the win over Savage can give him the momentum to go for Sting at SuperBrawl. I think Piper will get the win because the heel turn should have boosted him in momentum, with him being a loose cannon he can feud with anybody. And lastly I think that unless you plan on pushing Eddy past the Cruiser title, he should definitely keep it.

Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko vs Psychosis vs Rey Mysterio Jr Wanted to go with Dean but I can't see Eddie losing,

Lex Luger vs Roddy Piper

Chris Benoit vs Konnan Finished a book about him lately, it's a good enough reason to pick him.

Bagwell & Norton vs Harlem Heat I could dig that! (plus I couldn't be boring and pick the exact same as Beejus)

Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage

Curt Hennig & Kevin Nash vs The Giant & Ric Flair

Sting vs Scott Hall I would love Hall to win it, but I agree with Beejus here

Dean Malenko vs Eddie Guerrero vs Psychosis vs Rey Mysterio</strong></div></div> </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>

The three contenders for Guerrero’s cruiserweight title have been in a game of one-upmanship having all picked up one win when facing each other. Guerrero hasn't been focused on the cruiserweight division and many thought it would be his downfall in this match as he hasn't been used to the face passed style that shocked him early on. It was in fact the more smart, technical game planning which Guerrero learned facing guys like Bret Hart on Nitro which helped him through the match and allowed him to pick his spots take advantage of opportunities. Following Psychosis reversing a Super Gutbuster from Malenko into a Hurricanrana, Guerrero took advantage and landed a Frog Splash on Malenko and got the win.

</div>

Roddy Piper is backstage talking about how tonight Lex Luger will find out the true force of the loos cannon, he tells Luger to ask people like Greg Valentine, Sgt Slaughter, Ric Flair and The Brisco's about the loose cannon Roddy Piper and he'll find out exactly what he's in for.

Since the promo in which Luger offended Piper by stating Piper has still got it, Roddy has been a different man and looking to prove he hasn't lost a step in the ring and brought out the mean streak that saw him dominate the 80's and 90's of pro wrestling. The two battled back and forth but Luger's amazing strength always looked a threat, he managed to spin out of Piper's DDT attempt and set up for the Torture Rack when the co-leaders of The Flock, Steve McMichael and Raven came out and attacked Luger causing a disqualification. Piper left the ring with help from McMichael and Raven.

</div>

Backstage the nWo were shown strategizing for the several big matches they are involved in tonight. Scott Hall, Curt Hennig and Kevin Nash were all laying out a game plan for each other while Hollywood Hogan seemed more relaxed and was smoking a cigar. Bischoff tried to motivate Hogan but Hogan remained calm and told them that Savage is in a fragile state and is a shell of his former self.. he also told them to stay away from his match later on.

Chris Benoit vs Konnan</strong></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>

Konnan has been looking to prove his worth to the nWo for much time now, attempting to bring the Television title to them but with no success. He tried to catch Benoit of guard early but was met with many suplex's for his efforts. He managed to avoid a Crippler Crossface and landed a desperation Power Bomb which took the wind out of Benoit. He took Benoit up top and looked to deliver a Super German Suplex but instead was knocked off by Benoit and then met with a Diving Headbutt which was enough to get the win.

Bagwell & Norton vs Harlem Heat</strong></div></div> </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>

After beating the Faces of Fear on Nitro, the recently reformed Harlem Heat was the first challenges to Bagwell and Norton’s tag titles. Bagwell and Norton had the match under control and dominated by working on Stevie Ray’s only recently recovered shoulder injury, Booker T brought out some excitement from the crowd and began fighting back 2 on 1 while his brother recovered. Booker landed a Scissors Kick but before he could get the pin, Stevie who still looked hurt tagged himself back in, he went for a spinebuster but Bagwell escaped and got him with a Yellow Jacket Suplex which was enough to get the win.

</div>

Backstage Randy Savage announced he accepted Hollywood Hogan’s challenge and called him to the ring right now, Savage said Hogan is the one who is a shell of his former self and is the reason the nWo is going on a downfall, Savage then announced he will personally be the one to bring an end to the nWo and then soon after and end to team WCW. The fans began getting behind the macho man only for him to slate the home town of North Carolina before going to the entrance way.

Randy Savage has strangely refused to acknowledge or accept any fan support since he was kicked out of the nWo and so it led to a heel vs heel one on one match with Hollywood Hogan. Obviously due to their popularity even as heels they both still received great reactions from the crowd despite Savage’s best efforts to get them to boo him. Reminiscent of their Wrestlemania 4 clash both men put on a performance far greater than their recent work as they both wanted to be declared the better man. Savage still wore his nWo shirt despite being kicked out of the group which led to Hogan ripping it off and punishing Savage with his belt, whipping against his back early on in the match. Surprisingly no controversy took place in the finish as Hogan beat Savage clean with a leg drop after 11:50. Post-match Savage went off on one ripping apart the guard rail and announce desk as well as shouting at several fans.

</div>

Backstage Ric Flair was cutting a promo stating what an honor it was to be the United States champion again when Bret Hart walked past him, they had a very brief stare down before Bret introduced himself to Flair as ‘they best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be’ and Ric Flair introduced himself as the ‘fourteen time heavyweight champion’, they shook hands and then went off in separate ways.

Two feuds which look to be ending combined in this big time tag team match, semi main event. Flair and Hennig spent the most time in the ring still looking to see which one of them is the greater in ring wrestler, The Giant had a brief show of dominance before being double teamed by Hennig and Nash. The Giant managed to get a hot tag to Flair who came out all guns blazing, sending Hennig out the ring and then taking down Nash before locking in the Figure Four to which Nash tapped out after 13:07.

Sting vs Scott Hall</strong></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>

A huge main event delivered when WCW needed it too, the best match in recent memory on WCW programming. Sting looked strong early, and attempted to finish Hall quickly which forced Hall to be use a smarter approach. Hall’s mix of good power, good brawling skills and pretty good technical ability allowed him to find a way to gain control of Sting as he looked strong for a long period of time and even landed the Outsider’s Edge but couldn't keep Sting down for the three count. Hall went for another Outsider’s Edge only for Sting to escape out the back and hit him with a Scorpion Death Drop, Sting crawled to the cover but Hall powered out at two. Sting then locked Hall in the Scorpion Death Lock which had Hall ready to submit when the nWo entered the ring like a pack of wolves and took out the champion, forcing a disqualification.

</div>

After the match Hogan and Hall kept beating on Sting while Nash and the other members looked out for anyone from team WCW. A strange, intense music hit with fans not knowing who’s music it was until The Warrior (formerly The Ultimate Warrior in WWF) came racing down to the ring smashing through Nash and others and then scarring away Hall and Hollywood Hogan who couldn't believe his eyes and acted as if he just saw a ghost.

  • 1 month later...

Don't believe my luck today, was going through my old memory stick I found to find some of my six form work and came an old save for this game, it was back just after Starrcade, usually I wouldn't take the time to go back and re play over a month but this was my favorite diary so I spent most the day doing it. It was my first game ever on TEW so that may be the reason but what I noticed when re playing much of it was that a lot of the grades were better second time round , I probably didn't know much about how to book in the game when I first started this. I just went a re-did the presentation fo the last few shows as they were a different format which wasn't as good. I'd like to thank anyone who read this and hope you continue as I plan on starting it back up tomorrow which will also mark the start of a new prediction contest, Christmas Ape, if you are still interested in reading, since you won the previous prediction contest you can pm any of the following; A storyline you would like to take place, A certain wrestler you would like to be pushed or A wrestler you would like me to sign.

I encourage anyone who wants to read to catch up on everything but just for those who haven't got the time, a storyline catch up:

  • The feud between the nWo and team WCW has been on going with the titles being traded many times including; World title from Hogan to Sting, US title from Hennig to Flair and Tag Titles from The Steiner's to Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton.

  • Bret Hart refereed the match between Larry Zbyszko and Eric Bischoff at Starrcade in which Zbyszko won to keep the running of Nitro with him and JJ Dillon.

  • Randy Savage was very vocal about Hollywood Hogan after his loss to Sting which led to him being kicked out of the nWo and him going on a streak off losses as of late, he is still refusing to accept the fans despite feuding with Hogan.

  • Kevin Nash feuded with The Giant and Ric Flair feuded with Curt Hennig but both rivalries looked to have been wrapped up when Flair and The Giant won the tag match at Souled Out.

  • During Souled Out Flair and Hart had a backstage confrontation which ended in a handshake.

  • Goldberg took down Raven's flock which led to him beating Saturn for the Television title and beating Raven at Starrcade. He was attacked by Steve McMichael and the Flock and is currently injured. McMichael is the new co-leader of the Flock with Raven but both have announced they are working for a higher power in WCW. The Television title was vacated and won by Chris Benoit in a tournament on WCW Saturday Night.

  • Following Lex Luger and Piper winning a tag match on Nitro, Luger declared that Piper has still got it and can still hang in the ring, this prompted a fiery attack and heel turn from Piper, who once again became the loose cannon, Luger beat Piper at Souled Out by dq following Raven and Steve McMichael attacking him.

  • Syxx was kicked out of the nWo on the first Nitro after getting injured and being no use to them anymore.

  • After years of teaming together Scott Steiner turned on his brother and cost the two the tag titles, since then they have not been seen together with Scott doing one sole promo on his being the hottest free agent in wrestling today.

  • Scott Hall got his match for the World title at Souled Out after winning World War 3 last year, the build featured much involvement of Eric Bischoff and Larry Zbyszko. Sting won the match by dq after the nWo attacked and the night ended with The Warrior debuting in WCW and making the save for Sting.

Tony Schiavone: Ladies and gentleman I'm telling you know if you didn't watch Souled Out last night to go and order the replay now, a crazy night of action to say the very least.

Mike Tenay: You got that right Tony, and more importantly a very successful night for WCW, Sting held on to the World title and The Giant and Ric Flair beat Nash and Hennig.

Bobby Heenan: Blah Blah Blah, Mike no one cares about how well WCW did last night, everyone wants answers to what happened at the end of the show, I couldn't believe my eyes, questions will be answered tonight.

Backstage Hogan is shown looking into a mirror in his locker room seemingly distraught following the close to Souled Out last night. Eric Bischoff asks him "was that who I think it was last night?" Hogan quickly tells Eric to shut up and never mention him again, Eric walks away leaving Hogan to angry stare at himself in the mirror.

Dean Malenko vs Psychosis vs Rey Mysterio Jr

An exciting cruiserweight opener to Nitro, all three men were unsuccessful in capturing the cruiserweight title at Souled Out and now have to earn there way back to another title shot. Malenko got control early on catching Mysterio with a mid air knee to his mid section which winded the luchador and then began using his stiff ground attacks on Psychosis. Malenko attempted many pinfalls on Psychosis, following a small package he then went into a bridging cradle suplex but couldn't keep him down for the three count. Mysterio re-entered the match taking down both with flying dropkicks, following a arm drag which sent Malenko out the ring he then executed a springboard hurricanrana on Psychosis and got the win.

Winner:
Rey Mysterio Jr in 10:09

Ric Flair was on the stage with Gene Okerlund and got asked about a potential friendly rivalry with Bret Hart following their handshake at Souled Out? Flair responded by saying their is nothing 'friendly' about it, he said he respects the hart legacy and everything but for Bret Hart to call himself the best when Ric Flair is still wrestling is a joke. Flair ends the interview by saying Bret is a good wrestler but is not even in his league.

Glacier & Ernest Miller vs The Faces of Fear

The unorthodox team of Miller and Glacier were given a big chance to shine on Nitro against the Faces of Fear. The karate and mixed martial arts skills of Miller came out early and he managed to land a huge roundhouse kick which stunned Barbarian and put him on the back foot. Miller began chopping Barbarian in the corner but he was dealt a devastating headbutt by Meng which sent him crashing to the mat. Barbarian recovered and began unloading with stomps and kicks to Miller on the ground. Glacier got tagged in but was quickly finished by Meng who landed a bodyslam and then the boot of fear for the win.

Winner:
Faces of Fear in 5:41

Scott Steiner came to the ring again sporting his new look, he also looked heavily tanned which made him seem more muscular and cut. He told everyone that this was the evolution in his career and they can now refer to him as 'Big Poppa Pump'. He promised that he will be more destructive than ever now that Rick isn't holding him back...at this point Rick Steiner came running to the ring and the two got into a scuffle on the mat, referees attempted to break up the fight but it took security to split the two apart. Ted Dibiase, the manager of the Steiner Brothers came to the ring and showing no sides tried to calm the two down, Scott shrugged of the security and then stormed to the back.

WCW World Tag Team Championships

Bagwell & Norton vs Harlem Heat

Despite Stevie Ray's selfish tag in which cost Harlem Heat at Souled Out the two seemed unified tonight as they strived to get the tag titles back around their waist. Booker had an energetic start to the match overcoming Buff in chain wrestling, he then took Bagwell to the corner and chopped him many times sending his chest bright red. Booker successfully landed a dropkick and then a spinning heel kick on Bagwell before Buff realised he had to tag out. Norton came in and smashed through Booker with a lariat. Booker escaped a release powerbomb and tagged in Stevie Ray, who despite a good start was soon on the mat due to Norton working on his shoulder injury. Ray escaped the claw hold and landed a scoop slam to buy him some time, Booker re-entered the match and following a superkick looked to put Norton away with a scissors kick when Curt Hennig, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall attacked them causing a disqualification. The five members of the nWo beatdown Harlem Heat until Nitro went to break.

Winner:
Harlem Heat via DQ in 8:03

</div>

Randy Savage came out and was asked by Gene Okerlund what his announcement was, the macho man talked about how his career has been in a downward spiral since leaving the nWo, he says his love and passion for the business is gone and blames it directly on the fans. Savage mocks the hometown crowd saying them trying to get him to embrace them has cost him everything, he says there's one way to make it right, defeat and crush their hero Sting. Savage challenges Sting to face him next week for the World title and Savage adds that if he loses he will leave WCW forever, JJ Dillon comes to the ring and first questions whether Savage is sure about this and when Savage confirms, makes the match for next week.

British Bulldog vs Raven

Raven's flock were all spread around ringside but no sign of Steve McMichael the co-leader of them. Bulldog quickly got down to business taking down Raven with multiple clotheslines and then military pressing him above his head and throwing out the ring onto members of the Flock. The flock entered the ring all to be taken down by Bulldog, Davey delivered running powerslams to Kidman and Hammer but was chop blocked by Raven from behind when attempting a third on Saturn. Raven then began working on the buckled leg and after sent Bulldog shoulder first into the turnbuckle, Raven tried for his DDT but Bulldog escaped and landed a suplex. Bulldog had Raven up for the running powerslam but Raven squirmed out of his grasp and manage to stun him with a DDT which got the win.

Winner:
Raven in 7:02

</div>

Raven called out Roddy Piper after the match, Piper quickly questioned why Raven got involved in his match at Souled Out declaring 'I had Luger right were I wanted him when you got involved', Raven said it was a peace offering from the Flock and told Piper that they chose him to be the higher power in WCW. Raven bowed at Piper's feet and told him 'Join us and we will forever dominate WCW'. Piper laughed off the suggestion and reminded Raven he is the loose cannon and doesn't need any help especially from the Flock, Piper left the ring and left Raven shocked that his offer had been turned down.

After the break Bret Hart made his entrance for the main event, Hart was stopped and asked by Gene Okerlund his response to Flair's comments. Hart said that Flair, just like anyone who has ever doubted the skill of him will learn why they call him the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be...

Bret Hart vs Curt Hennig

Two amazing wrestlers squared of in Nitro's main event which was heavily hyped by the announcers as quite possibly the two greatest technical wrestlers colliding. The two chained wrestled early on, stretching the body parts of each other and looking to gain an advantage, Bret landed a stiff kick to Hennig and then rebounded of the ropes right into a big shoulder block which sent him to the mat. Hart acknowledged Hennig and even tipped his hat to him before the two locked up again. Hennig over powered Bret in a feat of strength but Hart managed to reverse the pressure onto Hennig and then land a back suplex. Hart grabbed Hennig, ran him into the ropes and looked for a roll up but Hennig held on and then tagged Hart with a perfect drop kick. Hart tried to quickly respond but ran into a hip toss to which Hennig then followed up with a knee bar, Hart quickly reversed it into a small package but only got a two count. Hennig ran into a European uppercut and then Hart went up top and delivered a diving elbow drop to the back of the neck. Hart went up top again for a diving bulldog but Hennig met him up there and landed a suplex from the top. Hennig looked for a Hennig-Plex but Hart countered into a small package which shocked Hennig and kept him down for the three count.

Winner:
Bret Hart in 14:11

Hollywood Hogan came out alone after the break, he said wrestling fans have over hyped what happened last night and he knows why because they actually think it was The Warrior when in fact it was a fake! Hogan calls the fans morons for actually thinking it will be Warrior and began laughing to himself. The same music which played at Souled Out played again and the fans broke out into a huge Warrior chant, Hogan, not waiting around to find out if it was Warrior ran out the ring and through the crowd, Nitro ended with Hollywood Hogan escaping out an exit while the music was playing, no sign of The Warrior though.

Tony Schiavone: Ladies and gentleman this is Monday Nitro without a doubt the number one wrestling programme and tonight we have what is quite possibly the most action packed Nitro of all time.

Mike Tenay: Exactly what I was thinking Tony, Randy Savage challenges world champion Sting with the title on the line and also Savage's career if he loses.

Bobby Heenan: Last week we had a hint that The Warrior was in fact here in WCW, Hollywood Hogan has announced he has an explanation that is was not Warrior who showed up at Souled Out.

Many WCW wrestlers started Nitro outside being talked to by JJ Dillon including The Giant, Booker T, Sting and DDP. Dillon told them that the nWo may have started to crumble with Randy Savage leaving but Savage is still a threat and is looking to take the gold away from WCW. He says everyone needs to be ready for combat in case anything goes wrong in the main event as they cannot afford for the title to go to Savage as he could very well still be working with the nWo. Everyone wishes Booker look in his match with Hennig and The Giant asks Dillon whether he knows anything about The Warrior in WCW, Dillon tells them he doesn't but tells them not to put any faith in Warrior as he might not be here to help WCW. Dillon lastly says team WCW cannot afford any more fighting from within, “already Piper has left us and now Bret Hart and Ric Flair are more focused on each other than destroying the nWo”. The WCW wrestlers come together and show unity as they head to the backstage area.

Chris Jericho vs Disco Inferno

The dancing fool Disco Inferno cockily and calmly entered the ring but was taken down almost instantly by Jericho who followed up with plenty of punches, showing he meant business tonight. Jericho's enthusiasm was an early downfall as Inferno slid out the ring and then yanked him neck first off the ropes, Inferno used his unorthodox offence landing a Russian leg sweep and then a bionic elbow to keep control. Jericho got back in the match at the first opportunity and pulled off an enziguri which dazzled Inferno, Jericho then locked in the Lion Tamer and soon had the win via submission.

Winner:
Chris Jericho via submission in 5:41

Just like last week Hollywood Hogan is shown looking into the same mirror in his locker room, all of the sudden The Warrior appears in the mirror and Hogan jumps out of his seat, Hogan quickly turns around to see just Eric Bischoff. Bischoff says this whole Warrior thing is getting out of hand and is taking their focus away from the nWo, Hogan says he’s going to deal with the situation tonight and tells Bischoff just to make sure the rest of the New World Order stick to the plan.

Ric Flair is backstage with Gene Okerlund and gets asked about being made to team with Bret Hart tonight. Flair says whoever made the decision for them to team is crazy and if they think it will end with some sort of friendship blossoming they couldn't be more wrong. Flair tells Gene that as far as he’s concerned its Flair vs The Blue Bloods in a 2 on 1 handicap match.

Bret Hart & Ric Flair vs The Blue Bloods

Bret & Ric's refusal to work together cost them early on as Regal and Taylor shown their great chemistry and cornered Bret with their hard hitting British style. Bret eventually gave in and tagged Flair who quickly got control of the match living up to his nick name of 'the dirtiest player in the game' using a low blow and eye poke on Regal. The ego's of Flair and Bret then helped them as Flair would deliver a big move like a back suplex and then Bret would enter the match and one up him with a suplex and elbow drop from the top rope. This continued until Bret finished off a brutally beaten Regal with a Piledriver.

Winner:
Bret Hart & Ric Flair in 7:41

After the match Bret and Flair have an intense stare down before Bret pats Flair on the back and attempts to leave the ring… Flair drags Bret back into the middle of the ring and then pats him, slightly harder on his back… Bret smirks before pushing Flair away to which Flair quickly slaps him back and soon the two are brawling in the middle of the ring. JJ Dillon comes out with many WCW wrestlers to split the two up and take them to the back.

Ray Traylor vs Raven

Raven attacked Traylor from behind during his entrance to gain an immediate advantage and some good heat from the crowd. Raven wrestled a very slow game using a snapmare into a chin lock to keep Traylor grounded. Raven would continually do his 'nevermore' pose to the crowd to which they would boo loudly. After more offence Raven looked for the DDT but Traylor reversed it into a suplex throw, Traylor then fought back knocking Raven down several times with body-checks, following a side walk slam Traylor looked to end the match with a spinning side slam but Raven escaped and rolled up Traylor while holding the bottom rope and manged to pick up the win.

Winner:
Raven in 5:24

Ted Dibiase, the former manager of The Steiner’s comes to the ring and invites them both out to the ring to settle their differences. Rick speaks first declaring that Scott is changed man who doesn't care about all the years of fight the Steiner’s put in together and is only looking out for himself. Scott responds by saying he carried Rick for 10 years and it was time for big poppa pump to split form the dead weight and strap a rocket on his back because he’s heading to the top of WCW. Despite Dibiase’s best efforts to get them to resolve the problem the two broke out into a fight again, this time it wasn't broken up until Scott cheap shotted Rick and then proceeded to beat him down using a steel chair.

Chris Benoit vs Steve McMichael

Raven and McMichael have been looking to win back the television title since Saturn lost it, they attacked Goldberg which put him out of action but when Benoit won the tournament for the vacant title they set their eyes on him. The former four horseman members put on a great brawl with McMichael cornering Benoit early with headbutts and chops as mockery of Ric Flair. Benoit came flying out of the corner with two big clotheslines and then proceeded to land triple german suplex's on the big man. Benoit went up top but was caught by McMichael who launched him to the mat, McMichael signaled for the mongo spike but when reaching down for Benoit, the tv champ grabbed an arm and locked in the crippler crossface which made McMichael tap out.

Winner:
And still Television Champions Chris Benoit via submission in 5:59

Following Benoit’s win over McMichael, the other leader of The Flock Raven makes a quick attack, planting Benoit with a DDT. The Flock come out and help McMichael to his feet while Raven addresses Piper’s refusal to join them last week, Raven says Piper will regret the day he turned them down but puts that down to the fact that he is still caught up with Lex Luger, Raven says he will give Piper two weeks to decide but after that they’re coming for him.

Booker T is backstage being questioned by tag partner Stevie Ray who thinks Booker is trying to leave him in search of singles glory, Booker tells his brother they will be a team for life but right now he is still suffering the effects of his shoulder injury so it’s time for the book man to fight of the nWo alone until Ray has recovered. Booker turns to the camera and states that Hennig is just the start tonight, Hogan, Hall and Nash have been attacking him and his brother for months and years now and he’s coming for revenge, now can you dig that? Sucka!

Booker T vs Curt Hennig

Hennig and Booker shown why they both have big futures in WCW as they put on an entertaining and very technically sound match. Hennig schooled Booker early on taking him to the ground with ease and showcasing his submission moveset by applying a vary of holds including a wrist lock which seemed to really affect Booker early on. Hennig attempted a drop kick but Booker caught his legs and pushed him to the mat before swaying downwards and launching Hennig face first of the top of the turnbuckle. Hennig recovered and then landed a blockbuster from the top rope which smashed the back of Booker's neck off the mat but wasn't enough to put the match away. Hennig ran into a spinning heel kick which was followed up with a drop kick by Booker. Booker used the emotion of the crowd and after a spinaroonie he finished Hennig with the scissors kick. Huge win for Booker T!

Hollywood Hogan is backstage still in his locker room and has not moved an inch since the start of the show, Gene Okerlund intrudes to ask about Warrior and how it has physiologically affected Hogan. Hogan laughed of the claims saying maybe it had until now because he has worked out that it was not in fact Warrior and it was The Renegade, Okerlund looks puzzled at Hogan’s crazy suggestion while Hogan finally gets up from the spot he’s been sitting in all night and leaves content that he has solved the mystery.

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Sting vs Randy Savage

Heading into this huge main event of Nitro, Randy Savage finally did away with the nWo colors but did not return to the old flamboyant colors and instead worn dark 'macho madness' attire. Savage was in a focused state and didn't conduct any interview all night as he wanted to prepare for the biggest match of his career. Savage drove Sting into the corner early and ran head first into his mid section, sandwiching him in the corner. Savage then landed a stinger splash to surprising cheers from the crowd and looked to lock in a scorpion death lock but Sting escaped out the ring to re-group.

Mike Tenay:
Holy cow, what a start to this match! I've got a feeling this will be one the most epic battles in the history of Nitro!

When they met in the middle of the ring again Sting took control with a kick to Savage's mid section and then chopping and slapping him in the corner. Sting landed an inverted atomic drop and then a running big boot to send the macho man to the mat. Savage regained control very quickly with a reversal scoop slam, Sting then felt the effects of a snake eyes onto an unprotected turnbuckle. Savage slowed down the speed of the match with a choke hold and bear hug which looked to be sucking the life out of Sting until Sting rallied up the fans, escaped and sent both men to the outside with a huge lariat.

Sting slammed Savages head into the announce table and then planted him with a scorpion death drop onto the ringside mat.

Referee:
7...8...9.. (both men slide in at a late 9 count)

Sting wanted to lock in the death lock but Savage countered into a small package....1...2... Sting kicks out at two! Savage reacted fast, giving Sting a powerslam and going up top for the flying elbow drop...

Tony Schiavone:
No, no god damn it it's the nWo!

Nash pushed Savage off the top down to the floor while Hennig, Hall, Bagwell, Norton and Konnan all take it in turns to attack both Sting and Savage. The referee ruled the match as a no contest.

Winner:
Draw in 13:47

</div>

After interrupting the main event the nWo (minus Hogan) keep the beat down going on both Savage and Sting, JJ Dillon runs onto the stage and directs wrestlers to the ring…The Giant, Booker T, Stevie Ray, DDP, Benoit, Jericho and Malenko all run and chase of the nWo. Savage and Sting soon recover and end Nitro shaking hands and respecting each other’s efforts in the match.

WCW Press Conference

WCW and Ted Turner held a press conference this morning to announce important upcoming news and also congratulate Randy Savage and Sting for their match on Nitro, according to report Dave Meltzer graded the match 97/100 (quite proud of that, never had match rated anywhere near that, apart from when using a cpt charisma mod:p). Turner said the match also led to WCW Monday Nitro drawing it's highest viewership ever and thanks the fans for that.

Ted Turner then revealed that he is quickly replacing WCW Saturday Night and that WCW are in talks for a new 'A' show that will heavily feature the tag and cruiserweight divisions as they feel the divisions could do with getting more exposure on an equally big show as Nitro and having a second show would create more competition from with in for the boys as Raw isn't providing much at the moment. The second one was the announcement that soon WCW are going to start doing 'one night only' PPV's in addition to the regular 12 PPV's, they don't revolve around storylines but instead are supercards with a theme (like NJPW's PPV's) where you can see dream matches take place. So far themes talked about are 'Tag Wars', 'King of the Cruiserweights', a group or trios tournament and 'Bad Blood' where a knockout tournament leads to a war games match at the end of the show.
