Very nice writing Jhd1. Sorry I'm only just getting to read the diary right now, but it's been a very good read. Love the Brian Jack articles in particular.

Herculez vs Wilson Hancock

Hancock seems to be in United States title picture but Herculez is feuding with V.I.P and on my opinion that is slighly higer level feud so I give this one to Herculez

Mitch Mulconry vs Jonah Christensen

Both Christensen´s have proven to be jobbers by now and if Mulconry wants to be semothing more he should pick up a victory here.

Ricky Fyre vs Vincent I Parker

This has pretty much the same deal than Herculez vs. Hancock match. V.I.P is slighly higher on pecking order in my eyes so he gets the win.

Core vs Timothy Hawk

Drake costs Core a win here.

Brian Jack's infamous shoot video series continues with the very first PWI Champion Shay Kinsella. Kinsella made a name for himself in Japan and has taken two high profile hiatuses from the sport with the birth of his children. Now back full-time wrestling for CWT, Kinsella became the CWT World champion after just six weeks with the company.

SHAY KINSELLA...on the early days of Pro Wrestling Integrity...

We were all so upbeat in those days, you know. Shane [Allman] had all these huge ideas about transforming wrestling - we were going to put the Japanese spin on things and push that to the mainstream. Of course, in the end it was more of a struggle than we thought although I think that was largely because of the WWWE turning off so many fans in its final days that they just didn't want to know.

SHAY KINSELLA...on his time in Japan...

Out there it is just SUCH a different world. Those guys, man they are really serious. To them it isn't 'sports entertainment' it is a SPORT. End of. If you don't train, don't put in the hours, don't study history then you are not going to be respected. You're there to put on a show, but you're there to prove that you deserve to step in the ring with the rest of the roster and I think, as an American wrestler, that's what really makes working in Japan special.

SHAY KINSELLA...on his time away from the sport...

I guess everybody knows that I took some time away to look after my kids. I've been fortunate that I've been paid enough money throughout my career to get by okay, my wife earns a decent living. I didn't want to be one of those parents that has to hear about things over the phone, you know? I didn't want my daughter to be taking her first steps in Urbana while I'm wrestling in Tokyo. Fortunately my contract in Japan at the time was coming up and it was an easy break to take. When my son was born in 2005, I went to take to Shane and he stopped me before I had got three words out and passed me a piece of paper. It said “Congratulations. Now go!”.

SHAY KINSELLA...on his future with CWT...

I'm really enjoying my time in CWT, obviously. It's a little more laid back than PWI, especially since the 'war' started between them and the AWF, so that's something I appreciate. We tend to stick to one region of the country as well, which helps make things easier with my family. Obviously it was a great opportunity to debut with the company and get a title shot so early on, but now I'm just glad to see where things go. I'm feuding with Lance Van Der Beek at the moment, which is proving to be a lot of fun. Reminds me of the old days when I had a feud with a young Ryan Doherty. Similar potential, albeit with two very distinct styles of wrestling.

NOTE 1: The next show is almost ready, so should be ready to post tomorrow evening if anyone wants to get any last minute predictions in.

NOTE 2: Brian Jack Straight Shootin' is going to be a little side series that will rarely have anything to do with the diary's in-ring events but will flesh out some of the rest of the ThunderVerse, and should hopefully be fun to read/write too. If anyone has a worker they'd like to see cut a shoot video with Brian Jack feel free to post a name!

Good to see Chaperone 'helping' out Richards last week by slowly vacating the soon-to-be-destroyed announce table. What a guy.

[The show begins with footage of Drake Richards lying in a hospital bed...]

DRAKE RICHARDS

I've suffered some beatings in my time. Injuries? I've had plenty of those too. But last week was something different. Last week Core went beyond wrestling and into the realms of assault. As a result of that attack I have suffered more aches, breaks and injuries than I'd care to list tonight. However, it isn't the bruises or the casts or the bandages that frustrate me. That Core has put me in a hospital bed doesn't anger me. What angers me is that by doing so he has taken away my ability to wrestle, my reason for getting up in a morning. Unfortunately I am going to be unable to wrestle for the next SIX WEEKS! SIX WEEKS! Thanks to that overgrown, faceless piece of …. I'm going to spend the next six weeks recovering, training and when I come back...Core, you know that devil you keep talking about? I'm going to make sure you meet him face-to-face!

CASEY SKYM

Mr Albert, thank you for your punctuality. As you know, part of my job here as “The Man In Charge” is to lay down the law.

MOUNTAIN ALBERT

Skym, get on with it. I have better things to do than listen to a toothless old man.

CASEY SKYM

Social skills are really something you have to work on. Fine, you want it plain and simple – interfere in Timothy Hawk's main event in any way, shape or form and not only will I suspend you without pay for a month, but because you won't be able to defend your title, I'll be taking that off you too! Does this man right here make himself clear?

MOUNTAIN ALBERT

Crystal. But watch your mouth Skym – we wouldn't want you getting ideas above your station or else someone might have to put you in your place. Hopefully I was able to make MYSELF clear.

“The World's Strongest Man”
HERCULEZ vs
“Every Woman's Dream”
WILSON HANCOCK
w/Adrienne

-This match featued two men with a lot to prove, but in the end it didn't quite live up to the expectations of the fans.

-Neither man could really take control and when they did the difference in styles and a slightly slow pacing meant that this wasn't the exciting opener viewers hoped for.

-In the end it was a somewhat predictable distraction by Ricky Fyre that caused Hancock to momentarily lose focus, giving Herculez the opportunity he needed to hit the
Herculean Slam (Belly-to-Belly Suplex)
for the win.

YOUR WINNER IN 6:10...HERCULEZ!

CASEY SKYM

This month's Casey Skym Challenge featured none other than Reno, NV native “The Stuff Of Dreams” Artemis Dream! Two weeks ago I won that match, which once again saw the vote for Dream's contract go to the fan vote. However, unfortunately I must announce...that...

Artemis Dream will NOT be joining the Awesome Wrestling Federation. Son, you've got a lot of potential and it'll be tough to miss out but do you have anything to say to the AWF fans?

ARTEMIS DREAM

I'll be back. Mark my words. I don't care if it takes me until next year, the year after or the year after that, but I believe I have all the tools to make it to the top in the wrestling business, in the AWF and I'll prove it to you all one day!

“Celtic Fire”
MITCH MULCONRY vs JONAH CHRISTENSEN

-Jonah Christensen seems to be all out of luck at the moment as his losing streak continues against Irish monster Mitch Mulconry.

-The enormous Irishman was making his first official match with the AWF (not counting his appearance in the Casey Skym Challenge) and he certainly impressed in this bout.

-With “Celtic Fire” holding the size and power advantage this was more than a little one-sided and it didn't take long before a
Make Mine A Double (Second Rope Backbreaker)
put this one to bed.

YOUR WINNER IN 5:42...MITCH MULCONRY

[We head to the arena car park where Silva Dolla is stood by waiting. After a few seconds a yellow convertible pulls up and a young woman steps out and rushes to great the United States champion. OMRI STONE vs MARCO DE FRANCESCO ©

-Omri Stone made a huge deal about coming to the ring for this match, slapping the hands of fans and generally playing the fool.

-He even asked the referee if he could hold the belt before the match began...

-...but once it did, Stone took one punch and rolled out of the ring.

-De Francesco looked confused, as did the official, as Stone lay doubled up in “agony” on the outside.

-Finally reaching his feet, Stone went straight for the announce team, pushing an unnamed assistant of his chair and folded it up.

-Stone climbed into the ring, pushed aside the referee and nailed De Francesco with the steel chair!

REVOLVER BINX vs MARCO DE FRANCESCO ©

-If De Francesco thought he had gotten away with that title match then he had another thing coming.

-On his way to the ring Binx claimed that the contract for this match said “Enemies of the State vs Marco De Francesco” without specifying a contender. Therefore, he says, it is his turn...

-But yet again Binx simply picked up the chair, waited for De Francesco to reach his feet and hit him with weapon disqualifying himself!

YOUR WINNER IN 2:24 VIA DQ AND STILL AWF TELEVISION CHAMPION...MARCO DE FRANCESCO

JOE HAVANNA vs MARCO DE FRANCESCO ©

-But finally things became clear as Joe Havanna appeared at the top of the ramp with an Enemies Of The State t-shirt...

-Havanna made a show of it, but in reality the damage to De Francesco had already been done and after a fairly pointless
Cuban Missile Crisis (Implant DDT)
we had a new AWF Television champion.

REVOLVER BINX

That's right. We warned you that this was going to get serious and it has. We are bringing about change here in the Awesome Wrestling Federation and we're not waiting around for life to take its natural course.

JOE HAVANNA

[in Spanish]
Say hello to your new AWF Television champion. Say hello to the phenomenon of the AWF!

“Blazin”
RICKY FYRE vs
“The MVP”
VINCENT I PARKER

-The very first meeting of Vincent I Parker and Ricky Fyre proved to be an excellent one as both men put on something of a wrestling showcase.

-The commentators mentioned the good chemistry between the two, and it was clear to the fans in attendance that they were witnessing a classic.

-As expected the momentum swung backwards and forwards as Fyre and Parker traded dropkicks, snap suplexes and top rope dives.

-While Ricky Fyre has had a strong start to his second stay in the AWF, Vincent I Parker is currently one of the hottest competitors in the promotion and that gave him the edge in this bout.

-After slipping out of a
Unleash The Fyre (Tiger Driver)
earlier in the match, Parker was more careful as the match wore on.

-So, when Fyre went for an
Axe Handle Smash
from the top rope, Parker sidestepped, caught his opponent in the midriff and then hit a suprise
Out Of The Park (Uranage)
to ensure the victory.

YOUR WINNER IN 9:23...VINCENT I PARKER!

CASEY SKYM

Week in, week out we see Towerblock and Jean-Claude Giroux battle it out over who is the best. We've seen brawls in public, we've seen cars stolen and destroyed. That's all well and good – in fact, I wish I had thought of that car trick a couple of years back! That's all well and good, but at the end of the day this a wrestling company and most of the time wrestling should take place in the centre of the squared circle. Now, this man right here has been in a few heated feuds in his time and that experience tells me that if I book Towerblock against Jean-Claude Giroux on next week's show that we're going to end up with a main event no contest. I don't want that, you don't want that. So, I'm going to have to add in a stipulation...but what could it be? No Disqualification and risk that someone could run off, or interfere? Cage? I wouldn't want to see Towerblock scaling a 15 foot wall of steel! No...I have an idea.

Next week's main event will be Towerblock against Jean-Claude Giroux. Next week's main event will feature a pinfall or submission finish. There will be no disqualification, count out or referee stoppage. Next week's main event will continue all night if it has to. Next week's main event will be the FIRST EVER televised Steel Cell match!

“The Devil's Nightmare”
CORE vs TIMOTHY HAWK

-This match had the potential to be great and it didn't disappoint.

-Superb wrestler from both Hawk and Core meant that while the big man's power advantage gave him the edge it was never decisive enough to make him a clear favourite for the victory.

-After almost ten minutes of back and forth, Hawk attempted to lift Core for his
Justice Slam (Full Nelson Slam)
finisher and fail to lift his opponent....

-...only for Core to try his own
Korah's Parable (Elevated Powerbomb)
finisher but for Hawk to slip out.

-The ending of the match was controversial, but perhaps not in the circumstances the fans expected.

-Nikita, manager of Mountain Albert, came down to the ring around the twelve minute mark and began circling the ring.

-While the fans, and Hawk himself, expected the former World champ to be the target, when Nikita climbed onto the apron her verbal tirade was aimed at Core.

-The monster turned to the Ukrainian and grabbed her by the hair...only for Nikita to low blow him through the ropes!

-Hawk saw his opportunity and with a surprise roll-up secured the unexpected win!

YOUR WINNER IN 13:27...TIMOTHY HAWK!

NIKITA

This is the best you can do, Hawk? You stand there smug, but in reality you have done nothing to earn your victory! You won because I WANTED you to win. Otherwise you would be smashed to pieces just like Drake Richards last week. Core is no friend of mine, but no enemy. You, Hawk, you are the enemy. You are the one that is in such desperate trouble. Expectations are high, Timothy Hawk, and for good reason. You see Mountain Albert will defend his AWF World title at the Battle For Los Angeles, live on PPV, in one month. He will defend his AWF World title successfully and he will do so without difficulty. Will it be against you? I don't know but I hope so, only so I can watch Albert wipe that smirk off your face once and for all!

=FEBRUARY WEEK FOUR ROUND UP=

THE RATINGS WAR

PWI's ratings rollercoaster continued this week as it plummeted from 2.97 to 2.88, perhaps as a result of yet another rematch between Seb Curtis and Ryan Doherty as a main event. While still an excellent match, there was a hint of same-old with the two facing each other for the third time in as many weeks.

The AWF continues to lag behind, although this week's show did show a small, 0.01 increase over last week to reach an average of 2.52.

2013 WAR SO FAR: PWI 8 – 0 AWF

IDENTITY OF SILVA DOLLA'S SISTER CONFIRMED

On this week's AWF Shockwave, Silva Dolla met his 'sister' backstage. As predicted (exclusively) by Brian Jack earlier this week, Dolla's 'sister' is indeed Piper Bryant, a New York-born actress who is better known to wrestling fans of the Tri-State. Bryant works as Ieshia in PWSUX where she manages former tag team champions South Central. As mentioned several weeks ago, while there is no official working agreement between PWSUX and the AWF, Casey Skym has given his word to Derrick Moore (PWSUX owner) that he won't steal any of his roster. As a result, Ieshia has been signed to a PPA contract, believed currently to be a three month trial as she is worked into the United States title feud.

FIRST EVER TELEVISED STEEL CELL MATCH: Jean-Claude Giroux vs Towerblock

I go with Giroux simply because I believe he has more upside that Towerblock (admittably this opinion is based only to the fact that Towerblock looks like the typical monster heel as I haven´t checked their actual stats). Also Towerblock has easier time staying relevant (or at least looking dangerous) thanks to his size.

Marshal Law vs Silva Dolla

Doing more.

Ricky Fyre & Herculez vs Vincent I Parker & Wilson Hancock

Could go either way but since I assume that V.I.P will win their singles match in PPV, I will give win to Herculez here.

Theo Barkley vs Timothy Hawk

Doing more, higher on the latters etc.

Just a quick note to say that the show is almost done and should be ready for posting sometime tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, but there have been several things going off all at once and I simply haven't had the time to do any writing. Fortunately, the delay was not through any lack of motivation to continue (nor has it caused any) so things should be back on track from this show onwards.

I was also wondering if there would be any interest from the people reading this diary (or anyone else for that matter) in a ThunderVerse lucha libre diary? It would almost certainly be GILL, as I don't think I could manage two weekly diaries at the same time and I have too many ideas for this game to stop it. I've been having fun playing around with the promotion so it is certainly a viable side project if I decide to run with it. :)

CASEY SKYM

Last week everyone saw Joe Havanna beat Marco De Francesco...1....2....3...to become the new AWF Television champion. I, and everybody else, also saw the stunt that his new allies the Enemies of the State pulled to win him the title. Now I've looked closely at the replays, I have re-read the contract and I admit, as much as I hate to, that there is some ambiguity within the match arranged for the Television title match last week. I do believe, however, that this was deliberate and the person responsible has been fired. Given the opportunity I would therefore like to strip Joe Havanna of the AWF Television title...

...however, despite being the “Man In Charge”, this man right here cannot reverse the final decision of a referee. That means that Joe Havanna is indeed your AWF Television title. However, I can, and I will, punish those responsible. As a result, Joe Havanna's first AWF TV title defence will take place next week...against Marco De Francesco! And in order to ensure there is no funny business, it'll take place inside a steel cage!

The Enemies of the State, Stone and Binx that is, will sit on the sidelines for the next two weeks as punishment. They will then return in a match of my choosing. Believe me boys, it isn't going to be pretty!

“The Champ”
SILVA DOLLA vs
“The Boss Man”
MARSHAL LAW

-United States champion Silva Dolla has been in some tough matches of late, but he could at least take solace in the fact that this match wasn't for his title.

-That didn't stop the Harlem native from giving his all and despite Law showing his power and strength it was Dolla that controlled much of the match.

-In the end a
Dolla Sign (Package Piledriver)
put this match to bed and gave Dolla another win under his belt.

YOUR WINNER IN 6:31...SILVA DOLLA!

[Finally the video shows the silhouette of a man that appears to be wearing a mask and a cape as a countdown begins...]

ROSANA vs DANI ©

-Having fought off the challenge of Jazz (twice) two weeks ago, Dani was thrown in at the deep end again while defending her title against Rosana.

-Rosana proved to be a worthy contender with some pretty good wrestling moves interspersed with the typical diva slaps and hair pulls.

-While Rosana used her acrobatics to good effect, Dani's more muscular frame and better wrestling knowledge proved to be the decider.

-In the end a seventh minute
HOLLER! DDT (DDT)
ensured that Dani would retain her title.

YOUR WINNER IN 6:51...DANI!

[The Starlets division is quickly becoming one of the most open, and most hostile group of wrestlers in the company and when the bell rang Dani looked up to see Jazz walking down the ramp! While most fans expected to see yet another brawl between Jazz and the Starlets champion they were surprised to see Summer come charging down the aisle and blindside Jazz before she could reach the ring! Nevaeh then made her way to Jazz's rescue as Dani and Rosana climbed out of the ring to join the brawl. Before security could come down to break things up, both Serenity and Madison had also joined the fight which now covered most of the ringside area!]

[silva Dolla is walking the halls backstage laughing and joking with the camera man as he insists that he should meet Dolla's sister Piper. As they enter the canteen area, Dolla spots Piper off to one corner but is immediately running towards her as he recognises the man she is talking to...Ricky Fyre! Fyre looks a little too close for comfort and when Dolla pushes him to the ground, Piper spins around in surprise. Dolla warns his sister to stay away from Fyre, before delivering a swift kick to the ribs of his downed rival, promising that the former PWI star can expect far worse if he continues to hang around his family...]

RICKY FYRE & HERCULEZ vs VINCENT I PARKER & WILSON HANCOCK

-A relatively short match, but one that was full of action and at times bordered on tornado tag, rather than sticking to the more traditional rules of tag team competition.

-Herculez power was used to great effect against Wilson Hancock early on in the match but a hot tag for Parker turned things around in favour of the babyfaces.

-Ricky Fyre and Vincent Parker resumed their match from last week and, just like that contest, it was hard to choose a likely winner.

-In the end it would be the double teaming of the heels that would secure the victory.

-With Hancock back in the ring and now in bad shape he once again headed for his corner, only for Fyre to pull Parker from the apron at just the right time...

-...and with nowhere to go Hancock turned right into Herculez who hit the
Herculean Slam (Belly-to-Belly Suplex)
for the victory.

YOUR WINNERS IN 7:19...RICKY FYRE & HERCULEZ!

Skym, where have you been!? We are tired of waiting around for you, and we are tired of waiting around to find out who you will be booking to face YOUR AWF World champion at Battle For Los Angeles. If you do not book that match soon, then I will go straight to Mr Trillion and book it myself!

CASEY SKYM

Woah, woah, woah! Is this my office or yours Nikita? This man right here is the one wearing the badge, and I'm the one that makes the decisions around here. Not you, not Mr Trillion, but me. Mountain Albert will be defending his title at Battle For Los Angeles, and to be frank I'm not sure why that isn't as much information as you need to know given your, ahem, confidence.

MOUNTAIN ALBERT

Don't try to be cute, Skym. Book this match, or you'll be wearing that badge someplace else...

CASEY SKYM

No need to be crude, Albert. I'll book the match in due time. That time isn't now, but it might, and I mean MIGHT, be ready for reveal next week. Until then, Albert, Nikita, this man right here would like to give you one little hint...it is NOT going to be pretty!

TIMOTHY HAWK vs
“Primetime”
THEO BARKLEY

-Last week Timothy Hawk secured a win over the monster Core and this match against “Primetime” Theo Barkley will no doubt be remembered as the scene of Core's revenge.

-While both Barkley and Hawk had their fair share of offence during the opening exchanges of the match it was, surprisingly, Barkley that initially gained the upper hand.

-Fighting back slowly, Hawk barely had chance to hit his big moves before his masked rival came walking determinedly to the ring.

-Brushing the referee and then Barkley aside, Core grabbed Hawk and hit the former World champ with a huge chokeslam!

YOUR WINNER IN 6:40 VIA DISQUALIFICATION...TIMOTHY HAWK!

IN-RING

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/Core.jpg

[in what is becoming something of a routine, the bell rings but Core's attack continues. Throwing Theo Barkley over the top rope – no mean feat itself – Core drags Hawk to the corner where he proceeds to throw a flurry of punches at the former AWF World Champion. The man from Urbandale, Iowa was overwhelmed by the attack of the steel masked monster and when two referees attempted to intervene both were sent careering across the ring. Aiming to prove a point to Hawk and send a signal to the roster, Core set up for a Korah's Parable (Elevated Powerbomb) but just before he began to lift Hawk an army of road agents, referees, EMTs and security officials jumped on him and pulled the two apart. Hawk survived this one, but Core promised that this wouldn't be the end of it...]

THE FIRST EVER TELEVISED STEEL CELL MATCH!

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/Towerblock.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/AWF%20Diary/Cards/Jean-ClaudeGiroux.jpg

“The Eighth Wonder Of The World”
TOWERBLOCK vs
“Parisien Playboy”
JEAN-CLAUDE GIROUX

-Throughout the match we are reminded by the announce team that although a Steel Cell match has been fought on PPV, this is the first time that one has ever taken place on AWF Shockwave. It is also the first Steel Cell match that Towerblock and Giroux have fought together.

-As expected this match is closely fought and brutal to the last. By the end of the contest both men are covered in crimson and absolutely exhausted from the back-and-forth they have just been through.

-Having taken so long for the one-on-one to be set up, it was not surprising to see the match start as a slugfest, with Towerblock coming out on top.

-The walls of the cell were used to devastating effect by Towerblock who threw the smaller Giroux like a lawn dart into the side of the cage.

-Towerblock's power and Giroux's speed and technical know-how meant they were evenly matched throughout and it was always going to be a fine margin that decided the victor.

-That almost came at the ten minute mark when Towerblock caught Giroux's attempted top rope move and turned it into a
Fallaway Slam
. The pin, however, only reached a two and a half.

-Giroux attempted the
Playboy Press (Lifting Spinebuster)
, but couldn't lift the giant...

-...and that offered just enough opportunity for Towerblock to hit the
Ten Storey Chokeslam
out of nowhere to secure the hard fought victory!

YOUR WINNER IN 15:52...TOWERBLOCK!
