WWF Rising Storms

http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/WWF_3_zps0ffe073c.jpg

I've had quite a problem finding a game that i can really get into that's why I've played the first release of Justxyank's 1991 mod past Wrestlemania and have the first two months of the diary wrote up. I'm really enjoying this game so far and hope any readers do as well. The write ups will be different to previous diaries with the fancy layout being saved for PPV's, this will allow me to update much more regularly an get much deeper into the game, i'm hoping to get to the mid 90's if all goes to plan.

I want to play the WWF as realistic as possible so i will be having a PPV every other month which gives me a good amount of time to build to the PPV's. Obviously the six will be the big four, King of the Ring and then an unnamed one at the moment (might have that as a prediction prize, getting to name the PPV). WWF Superstars will run for an hour every week but just like in this time period big matches will be saved for PPV so don't expect to see Hulk Hogan or Randy Savage appearing on Superstars every week. Superstars will mainly focus around the tag team and Intercontinental champions.

Rising Storms

1991 promises to be a big year for the WWF, so far The Ultimate Warrior's title run has been less than spectacular and despite him being positioned to take over form Hulk Hogan as the face of the WWF that has fell flat and now the board are wondering whether to continue his monster push or to send the ball back to hulkamania. Sgt Slaughter has been extremely hot since turning heel and is getting good legitimate heat from the fans. Randy Savage and Ted Dibiase have cooled off since the golden age of professional wrestling but are still two of the top heels in the company. The WWF still boasts a very stonrg tag team division which includes The Rockers, LOD, The Hart Foundation, Nasty Boys and Demolition among others. The WWF looks to keep investing in more young stars to fill out the midcard and allow some to push into the main event to keep the scene fresh moving forward.

Royal Rumble looks to be an exciting event with the thirty man battle royal having plenty of big name superstars who could win and for the first time it has been announced the winner will challenge for the WWF title at Wrestlemania. We are now on the road to Wrestlemania 7, get ready for twists turns and an electrifying build to a once in a lifetime event.

WWF Superstars

Week 1, January, 1991

Philadelphia Civic Center

Following the introduction video Sgt Slaughter began the show in the ring with General Adnan and cut a promo declaring he didn't turn his back on America or the fans, they turned their back in him. He went on to compare himself to America but that America is no longer at war and no is at peace where as he will continue to be at war with the WWF and every wrestler until he becomes WWF champion.

Jim Powers vs Sgt Slaughter

Jim Powers has been known for exciting tag team action for many years with Paul Roma but since the two split he has been struggling to really get going in singles action. Sgt Slaughter along with General Adnan broke the rules several times during the match getting cheap heat from the fans as one would distract the referee and the other would attack a helpless Powers. Powers still had strength and determination left and soldiered on against Slaughter but hit a brick wall when he got locked in the Cobra Clutch and soon tapped out.

After the break a skit was shown of Mr Perfect demonstrating his perfect ability at Basketball as he managed to shoot the ball perfectly into the basket several times without looking.

Koko B. Ware vs Mr Perfect

The bird man rallied up fans on the way to the ring along side Frankie the bird and quickly sent Perfect into retreat mode dominating the early parts of the match. Perfect wrestled a very smart game and when he had a chance gain control he did and began dissecting Koko in the ring with his excellent ground game. This built up and led to Perfect landing the Perfect Plex for the win.

Mike Sharpe vs The Ultimate Warrior

The high speed, high energy WWF champion charged down to the ring to take on Mike Sharpe who had no chance of stopping The Warrior. Sharpe got in as many offencive moves as possible early but when Warrior began firing back he was done for, Warrior's comeback led to the Gorilla Press Drop and than Running Splash to get the win.

After the match The Million Dollar Man came to the stage and taunted The Warrior saying he has used his money to get the bets training in the world which will allow him to beat The Warrior and take the WWF Championship. Dibiase finished by telling the fans to enjoy The Ultimate Warrior as champion now, because he won't be for much longer.

Bret Hart vs King Haku

One half of the tag team champions Bret Hart took on Haku in the main event. Haku was looking to impress officials in the hope he and Barbarian might be in line for a tag title shot in the future. Bret tried to get control early on using his far better in ring skills and game plan but the power of Haku led to him getting much of the offence. Haku had the match under control until he was caught off guard and took a spike piledriver from Hart. Hart then locked Haku in the Sharpshooter but almost immediately after was attacked by Haku's tag partner The Barbarian and the referee called for a disqualification.

WWF Superstars

Week 2, January, 1991

Atlantic City Center

Sgt Slaughter started the show in the ring along with General Adnan. Slaughter mocked the fans in attendance stating they are what is wrong with America today and that they have poisoned the country he fought so hard to defend. Slaughter got cut off by Hacksaw Jim Duggan who came running to the ring with his trademark 2x4 and chased Slaughter and Adnan away to cheers from the fans.

Brooklyn Brawler vs Jake Roberts

Jake Roberts got a huge ovation as he faced the Brooklyn Brawler in this rumble qualifier. Brawler took the fight right to Roberts from the get go, getting down and dirty and attempting to get a big shock victory. Roberts managed to counter a piledriver and flip Brawler over his head which tuned the momentum in his favor. Roberts then progressed through his move set before finishing of the Brooklyn Brawler with a DDT.

After the match president Jack Tunney announced several other participants that will be involved in the Royal Rumble match along with Jake Roberts. Hulk Hogan, Macho King, The British Bulldog, Earthquake and Roddy Piper were all added to the match making it the most competitive Royal Rumble match in history.

Jim Neidhart vs The Barbarian

Two powerhouses collided in a brawl type match with lot's of kicks and punches dominating the bout. The Barbarian used his brute like nature and punished Neidhart early, beating him physically and mentally with vicious elbows to the face followed by headbutts and stomps. This sparked an aggressive side of Neidhart who when he got control began going all out Barbarian and ran the risk of a disqualification due to his refusal to break holds. At the culmination of the match Neidhart slid out of the hold of The Barbarian and then proceeded to scoop him up and land a running powerslam and get the winning pinfall.

After the match Haku joined The Barbarian and Bret joined Neidhart and the two teams engaged in a physical brawl in the middle of the ring. The fight continued until The Rockers, Michaels and Jannetty came to the ring in support of The Hart Foundation and fought of Barbarian and Haku.

Mr Perfect vs Virgil

A good main event of Superstars as Virgil who has gained a good fan base since his breakout from managing The Million Dollar Man took on Mr Perfect who continues to impress and look better every time he steps foot in the ring. Perfect controlled the match early on working from a headlock to a wristlock then to a body scissors submission hold. He continued to wear down Virgil with his arsenal of submission moves. Virgil got the support of the fans and started an energetic comeback which shocked Mr Perfect who had been dominant up to this point. Virgil looked to be setting up the camel clutch but Perfect slid out the back and rolled up Virgil to get the 3 count.

WWF Superstars

Week 3, January, 1991

RPI Field House

Backstage before the first match kicked off, The Hart Foundation went into the dressing room and thanked The Rockers for helping them out last week following Jim Neidhart's match with The Barbarian. Despite the help The Rockers made it clear that they still see The Hart Foundation as competition and they are still going to come after the WWF tag titles. Jack Tunney interrupted and decided after what he heard he was going to make a match between Haku & The Barbarian vs The Rockers at The Royal Rumble to determine which team will get a shot at The Hart Foundation at Wrestlemania 7.

____________________________________________

Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji vs The Rockers

The Rockers have brought a style of exciting, high flying wrestling to the WWF tag division and have built up a great following with the fans. They were able to showcase this style really well against Kato & Tanaka who both were great at selling the startling moves. With Mr. Fuji at ringside the Orient Express always looked dangerous and they were several times when Fuji would distract the referee and it would allow a double team to take place. Jannetty managed to finally tag out after being in the ring for most of the match and a fresh Shawn Michaels exploded into action with clotheslines and dropkicks flying about the ring. Michaels drop-kicked Kato into Fuji who was standing on the apron and then landed the Rocker-Plex on Tatanka to seal the win.

Rick Martel vs The Texas Tornado

Mr Perfect sat at ringside for the match to scout his upcoming opponent for the Royal Rumble, although he spent most of the time bragging about his achievements instead of 'scouting'. The action in the ring was slow paced with Martel using his excellent technical skills to out grapple Von Erich and often take him to the ground and attempt a submission hold. Von Erich had spurts of action but was frequently cut of by Martel, this was until the wild side of Erich came out and he began smashing his way through Martel repeatedly as the fans cheered him on. Erich went on to land a rolling elbow before locking Martel in the iron claw to which he soon tapped out.

A pre taped video of The Ultimate Warrior was played, the Warrior intensely hyped his match with The Million Dollar Man. The charismatic Warrior declared the WWF title is what he lives for and all the warrior nation at the Royal Rumble will give him the power to destroy The Million Dollar Man.

____________________________________________

Macho King Randy Savage vs Saba Simba

The Macho King has cooled of from his huge burst of popularity a few years ago but remains the lead heel in the WWF at the moment. The former 'Mr USA' Tony Atlas now under ring name Saba Simba, a Ugandan tribe warrior kept his same powerful in ring style and quickly began throwing the Macho King around. Simba used a combination of many clotheslines and big powerslams to gain control and then rallied up fans by doing a Ugandan tribe dance. The dance appeared to be his downfall as unbenounced to the referee, the Macho King used his royal scepter to strike Simba to the mat and then followed that up with a Flying Elbow Drop to get the win.

A Hulk Hogan video promo ended WWF Superstars, he reminded the fans of last years Wrestlemania, the biggest match of all time him vs The Ultimate Warrior and that when he lost he felt like the world was going to end. It was the worst moment of his life and it took all the hulkamaniacs to get him back on his feet and fighting. He thanked the hulkamaniacs for getting him back up and declared at the Royal Rumble he will pay them back and he will get redemption when he wins the 30 man Rumble match.

WWF Superstars

Week 4, January, 1991

A.J Palumbo Center

Jim Duggan kicked off the night backstage with Gene Okerlund and was asked about his chase of Sgt Slaughter two weeks ago. Duggan explained that despite what Slaughter likes to think he actually did turn his back on America and turned on the fans of the WWF who supported him throughout his career. He went on to say that it's up to Slaughter to live his life the way he wants but Duggan will not stand by and watch him attack the WWF fans and America, in closing Duggan challenged Slaughter to fight him at the Royal Rumble as a warm up before Duggan enters the thirty man battle royal and wins for a second time.

King Haku & The Barbarian vs The Rock & Roll Express

The Rock and Roll Express debuted in a big match in the WWF and didn't disappoint bringing the non stop action style they have been known for straight at Haku and Barbarian. The speed of Morton and Gibson often allowed them to escape their opponents and prevented Barbarian or Haku from being able to corner and punish them with powerful offence. A mistake cost the Rock and Roll Express when Morton attempted a flying crossbody on Barbarina only to be caught and power slammed, Haku then entered the match and finished him off with a Cresant Kick.

Backstage before the scheduled tag match featuring The Intercontinental Champion and the new number one contender a fight broke out between the two. The cameras picked up as Bobby Heenan helped out Mr Perfect and Perfect proceeded to launch Von Erich head first into a glass door, splitting him wide open. Officials stopped the fight and a furious Jack Tunney mouthed off at Perfect as he was being dragged away by officials, knowing that not only is the Intercontinental title match at Royal Rumble now in doubt but the upcoming tag match needs two replacements.

Jim Powers & Virgil vs Paul Roma & Rick Martel

Tunney spent the whole of the break finding replacements for Perfect, who was being reprehended by officials and cautioned by police officers and Texas Tornado who was being treated at a nearby hospital. Virgil offered to step in alongside Powers while his former tag team partner Paul Roma was excited by the prospect of proving who the better man was. The match didn't go long as Martel spent the opening sequence showing off his offence on Virgil and then later Roma did the same until Virgil escaped and tagged in Powers who did a big comeback fighting of both Martel and Roma and then getting the win after a Running Powerslam on Roma.

The Million Dollar Man cut a promo backstage on The Ultimate Warrior mocking Warrior's comments that 'the warrior nation will give him the power to win at the Royal Rumble'. He said the most powerful thing in the world is money and there is no one who has more money than him. He played mind games hinting that Warrior might not be able to trust every around him as he could afford to pay anyone to help him win at the Royal Rumble.

____________________________________________

Hulk Hogan vs The Mountie

The arena exploded as Hulk Hogan made his entrance to real American and stared down at The Mountie who had been getting cheap heat before the break mocking the fans and stating that the Canadians are better. At the start of the match Hogan quickly fired back on behalf of the fans, leveling The Mountie with stiff punches and clearing him out of the ring with a clothesline. Later on in the match The Mountie managed to gain control using his belt to strangle Hulk Hogan as the referee was knocked down at this point. The Mountie continued to use all the under handed tactics he could think of to keep the hulkster down but a fight back was inevitable and Hogan came back stronger than ever taking down The Mountie with the trademark big boot and then finishing him with the Atomic Leg Drop.

After the match following his celebration, Hulk Hogan was attacked by a huge figure who entered the ring via the crowd. The man went on to Powerbomb Hogan as the announcers attempted to figure out who it was. Vince McMahon finally identified the man as he was leaving and called him Sid Vicious and said he heard news that the man had just been released from a mental hospital last night in New York. The announcers then had to wrap up the show while remaining confused about the events that just took place.

Slaughter actually had good matches with Duggan in 1991. Duggan was still capable of putting on a good match, but WWF audiences didn't need him to.

Oh I understand that and his effect on the companies he was involved in, I just don't like him.

Predictions:

Jim Duggan vs Sgt Slaughter

Both are overrated, but at least Slaughter had a GI Joe!

King Haku & The Barbarian vs The Rockers

Meng and Barbarian are criminally underrated workers, and they're older than the Rockers so they should get a push now. Plus, if you keep Shawn's ego in check he'll be better in the long run.

Mr Perfect vs The Texas Tornado

Kerry

The Ultimate Warrior vs The Million Dollar Man

The Rockers had a decent start managing to use their speed to one up Barbarian but things became shaky once Haku entered the match and was able to keep Jannetty as far away from his corner as possible, Haku and Barbarian showed great team work making quick tags and staying fresh while Jannetty was unable to garner any sort of offence. Jannetty managed to get a lucky break when he did a drop toe hold on Barbarian who went head first into the turnbuckles while Jannetty crawled over to Michaels and made a tag. The injury changed the style of the match as it became an all out brawl as Von Erich wanted revenge while Perfect was viciously attacking the injure head instead of wrestling his usual technical style. Tornado looked good and at one point the fans thought he had Perfect finished after a series of suplex's he landed a discus elbow but Perfect managed to grab hold of the ropes when the referee was at a two count. Tornado attempted to lock in the Iron Claw but Perfect flipped him over and landed a huge drop kick which dazed Tornado, he then went up to the second rope and delivered a second drop kick with much momentum behind it, Tornado's head slammed backwards hard on the mat and was in excruciating pain, Perfect made the cover.. 1,2,3.</div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="background-color:#ffffff;border-style:solid;border-width:2px";"></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/Wrestler/UltimateWarrior_zpsf07564ae.jpg</span><span>http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/vs_zps0394da3e.jpg</span><span>http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/Wrestler/TedDiBiase3_zps59b308c7.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">WWF World Heavyweight Championship</span></strong></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;"> The Ultimate Warrior vs The Million Dollar Man</span></strong></div></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><div style="text-align:right;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Match Type:</strong></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"> Standard Singles Match</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Time Limit:</strong></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"> N/A</span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Ultimate Warrior made a huge entrance, running down to the ring to tons of pyro and fireworks and pumping up all the fans in attendance. Early on Dibiase made the mistake of trying to match the Warrior for strength and ultimately failed at locking up with him and also trying to shoulder tackle him to the ground. Virgil, who has been very unreliable to Dibiase in recent months and actually becoming a face in recent weeks tried to motivate him but Dibiase was having none of it and sent Virgil to the back claiming he was a distraction. The Million Dollar Man then started to wrestle a very smart game and starting slowly working on each body part of the Warrior as he got control of the match and totally slowed down the energy from the WWF champion. The Warrior tried to fight back but when going for a running clothesline he got caught and turned into the Million Dollar Dream, the champ began fading but would not tap out no matter what and an outraged Dibiase took out the referee who would not stop the match. An unknown referee then came to fill in for Earl Hebner and just as the Ultimate Warrior started to make a comeback the new ref, attacked him from behind. Dibiase rolled up Warrior and the referee attempted a fast count but Warrior still kicked out! A pissed of Ultimate Warrior then started firing back at Dibiase and landed a gorilla press slam after many clotheslines. Warrior then turned his attention to the bogus referee and sent him packing with a running powerslam. Earl Hebner had made it back to his feet by this point and The Ultimate Warrior closed the match with a Running Splash on Dibiase and got the victory.</div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35668" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';">A video played showing all thirty men who will participate in the Royal Rumble with all of them giving reasons why they will be the last man standing at the end of the night.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">____________________________________________</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Entry Number: 1</span></strong></p><p> <span>http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/royal%20rumble/BretHart_zps8a610202.jpg</span></p><p> Bret Hart</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Entry Number: 2</span></strong></p><p> <span>http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag29/wwfvsnwa/WWF%201991/royal%20rumble/CurtHennig1_zps3d26d112.jpg</span></p><p> Mr. Perfect</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Following Howard Finkel's explaining of the rules and then declaring that 'It is now time for the Royal Rumble match!' Thanks glad you's enjoyed it.

WWF Superstars

Week 1, February, 1991

Atlantic City Center

Koko B Ware vs Sid Vicious

Koko B Ware faced the daunting task of taking on Sid Vicious who officially debuted last week on Superstars but made a huge impact in the Royal Rumble, picking up an amazing 9 eliminations. Koko made the mistake of trying to go straight after the big man and fell flat on the mat after a body check from Vicious. Vicious man handled Koko, throwing him all over the ring and not giving him a second to recover. The destruction ended after Vicious got the win following a chokeslam.

Sam Houston vs The Undertaker

An excited Sam Houston came to the ring thinking he was getting a chance to make a big break in the WWF, that mood quickly changed when The Undertaker's music played. Taker sent fear straight to Houston as he made his slow, intimidating entrance. Once in the ring Taker quickly dealt with Houston delivering a big boot then a chokeslam and ending the match with the tombstone piledriver.

After the match the lights went off and the fans expected it to just be The Undertaker leaving but when they came back on, Jimmy Snuka was staring at Undertaker, just like Taker surprised Snuka in the Royal Rumble and eliminated him. Snuka and The Undertaker began going at it until Snuka got the upper hand and Paul Bearer directed The Undertaker to escape the ring.

Power and Glory vs The Legion of Doom

Legion of Doom hinted at a future rivalry with Demolition at the Royal Rumble but they had to focus their minds on Hercules and Roma for tonight's match. Despite Hawk and Animal both being big men they were back pedaling in the early goings as Hercules used his power to gain control of the match. That changed shortly after Roma got involved n the match as LOD got going and showcase their great tag chemistry together keeping each other fresh with frequent tags. By the time Hercules was back in the match LOD were working in top form and soon later Hercules was on the receiving end of the doomsday device as LOD got the win.

Backstage Randy Savage came to do an interview with Gene Okerlund and the fans were loving the macho man. He told Gene that the fans love at the Royal Rumble has helped him clear his mind and now he can see straight once again. He said that it would be him going to the main event of Wrestlemania if it wasn't for Sid Vicious and warned Sid that he is coming for him.

Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect

These two both put in amazing performances in the Royal Rumble, starting the match off and lasting right down to the final four. This match was competitive and really well laid out in several different parts. Their styles meshed really well and made for an exciting main event, Bret looked good in the opening minutes but when Bobby Heenan distracted him it allowed Perfect to get control and change the pace of the match up. Bret looked to have Perfect in his back pocket again late on following a spike piledriver but Perfect managed to kick out. Controversy surrounded the ending to the match as King Haku entered the ring while Earl Hebner was distracted by Bobby Heenan and he superkicked Bret, this allowed Perfect to land the perfect-plex and pick up the win thanks to Haku.

Hulk Hogan came to the ring as his legions of hulkamaniacs went wild, Hogan told the he came out to thank them for giving him the hope and the determination to win the Royal Rumble match last night. Sgt Slaughter quickly interrupted Hogan and declared it should of been him who won last night, Hogan told Slaughter to stop whining and do something about it. Slaughter slowly made his way to the ring and General Adnan attacked Hogan from behind as he came from out of the crowd, the two then started to double team Hogan until Big Bossman came running down to save Hogan, scaring of both Adnan and Slaughter.

Really nice Royal Rumble write up NWA, and a solid start to what looks to be a good diary. Haven't played the game in a while but gave Justxxyank's mod a go yesterday and really getting into a game with WWF and probably get a dynasty going soon.

The old school veteran Valentine wrestled very stiff early on and quickly reminded the fans who he was with belly to back suplex's and a delayed vertical suplex which took the wind out of Jake Roberts. Valentine slowed the match down and began working specifically on the sternum of Roberts, this was successful but also allowed Roberts to switch the momentum and get offence in himself. Most thought the match was over after Valentine missed a second rope elbow drop and Roberts hit him with a DDT but Valentine kicked out at a late two count. Valentine later composed himself and looked to lock in a figure four leg-lock on Roberts but got countered into a small package and Roberts kept his shoulders down for the three count.</div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Rating:</strong></span></div></div></div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> 72</span></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">____________________________________________</span></strong></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Backstage The Million Dollar Man was irate with Virgil, blaming him for his loss against The Ultimate Warrior at the Royal Rumble, Virgil protested that it was Dibiase fault as he sent him to the back but Dibiase didn't listen and stated he expected Virgil to come back out and help him get the victory. Shawn Michaels vs The Barbarian

The Rockers, Hart Foundation and the team of Haku and The Barbarian have been in a 3 way tag team war in the recent few months with each team trying to prove they are the best. Michaels was very cautious after watching his tag partner lose to Haku last week, he like Jannetty made some mistakes early on and The Barbarian had a tight hold of the match. A shock came relatively early in the match as Michaels managed to avoid being body slammed and instead sway Barbarian into a small package which managed to get him the win.

Sid Vicious vs Tugboat

Following a very quick elimination from the Royal Rumble by Vicious, Tugboat wanted revenge and requested to have a one on one match with Vicious. The in ring quality of the match was low with the two trying to out power eachother for most of the match but the fans were excited by the two big men locking horns. Vicious managed to get the win with a Chokeslam.
