Your Workers and Drugs

Recommended Posts

I need a little advice: I've got two workers on my roster using drugs: Bryan Vessey on steroids and Remmy Skye using soft drugs.

I've given both the fatherly approach, Vessey said "understood" and had some minor morale issues; Skye reacted more positively.

After a second offense, I went stricter and slapped both on the wrist. Vessey rolled his eyes, and again Skye reacted positively.

So it feels like Remmy Skye's on the right path, even if he's not there yet. Is there anything that can help him on his way? Vessey on the other hand isn't moving in the right direction: how can I get him off steroids? Can I get him off them?

Thanks in advance!

With Remmy in my past experience is to "Fire" him and when the meeting comes up go ahead and cancel the termination. It's usually cleaned him up at that point and garnered a loyalty relationship with him. Can't help with Vessey since I typically play the smaller feds.

In this edition, when you fire someone, they're fired. Immediately. There is no 'wait until tomorrow and change your mind' anymore. So you're essentially advising to fire Remmy and wait six months and re-sign him (if he doesn't hate you).

Vessey is ruthless, Remmy is a nice guy. Essentially Remmy reacts better to the softly-softly approach, Vessey needs a harder line in general, but I'm not sure if anything but outright firing him will make him clean it up. Personally I ignore Vessey's issues entirely since they're so minor and he's talented enough for me to overlook them.

Which may not be the advice of others (I know some people totally hate having any users), but yeah, tis what I do personally. It's a calculated risk.
