Comments: Prefer the face team, but I'm guessing Macho wouldn't be happy about taking a loss here. Still, Dustin and Pillman are clearly above Kip and Bubba, at least IMO.</p><p> </p><p>

And that’s when it hit him: the perfect way for their feud to finally end. In Virginia at SuperBrawl, he proposes that they find the one way that will make one of them be forced to do just that. He wants to see Gordy across the ring in one of the most brutal matches possible; a no disqualification, no count out, no pinfall, no stoppage, only way to win is to make your opponent scream “I Quit” match! Gordy thinks about it for all of three seconds before smirking evilly and saying simply “Have Jimmy Jam draw up your funeral.” The match is set for SuperBrawl V!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MichaelHayes.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/JPL.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryGordy.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevenRegal.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/LannyPoffo.jpg</span><p> <strong>Michael “P.S.” Hayes & JPL vs. Terry Gordy & Lord Steven Regal w/Baron Leonard Tomas</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The first match of the evening gets us off to a decent start with this tag team match. The teams are between two of WCW’s top midcard feuds and it doesn’t fail to disappoint on that front, however… Gordy and Regal completely seem to throw one another off all the way through this match, and that means Hayes and JPL are able to keep their rivals off-balance enough to gain some ground. Lord Regal does what he can to avoid “sullying his hands” with JPL, unless Gordy has him already down on the mat. Baron Tomas on the outside picks on a fan who’s sign asks “Can you speak German Mr. Baron?” by doing so. The match comes to a head when Hayes and Regal are able to make hot tags to their partners. Gordy starts to take over on JPL, at which point his Lordship tells Terry to grab him for a double team. But JPL is too fast, and he slips out of the way as Regal decks Gordy! Hayes tackles Regal aside as JPL uses a quick schoolboy rollup to take Gordy down and gets the surprising three count!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners: JPL and Michael Hayes</em></p><p><em> Rating: C</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevenRegal.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/LannyPoffo.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/JPL.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> The match over, Lord Steven throws his hands up and starts heading for the back in disgust at his partner, as a fan who must agree with him has a sign saying “Terry is not Royal, Master Regal!” But then JPL interrupts him by calling to him on the microphone. JPL says that he has unfinished business with Regal, and he won’t stop pestering him until he has gotten his measure of revenge. He says that he wants his Lordship at SuperBrawl! Lord Regal saunters back toward the ring, his arm behind his back, replying that “my dear young fool,” he already thrashed JPL at Uncensored, and so there is no reason for him to meet him again. But if what JPL wants is to face off with a person above his class, then he shall square off with the good Baron next week on Saturday Night! JPL says that Lord Regal can try to duck him all he wants, but one of these days, he’ll punch him in that upturned nose and make that blue blood spill all over the mat!</p><p> Rating: B-</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Notes: JPL does some good improvising here; maybe being Hogan’s protégé backstage has been a help to him?</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/Queen.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Mean Gene is out at the mouth of the aisle, and he brings out his special guest (said sarcastically) at this time, the man who found out last week that he will be setting foot inside a fifteen foot high steel cage at SuperBravl, Heavyweight champion of the World, Hollywood Hogan! Hogan comes out with The Queen sexing up the place at his side, blowing fake kisses at Gene and the fans. Hogan says that he’s heard the whispers back there, about how he’s so afraid of the cage brother, but he’s out here right now to say one thing, that he’s going to be on the Body Shop tonight, cause Jesse the Body has been jealous ever since Hulkamania started, and now that Hollywoodmania is runnin’ even wilder he’s just cashing in on what little fame he can draw from Hollywood and the Kings of Wrestling – but Hollywood will be there tonight on the Body Shop, so that he can look “The Nature Girl” right in his little eyes and until he’s done, he’ll have instilled the fear of Hollywood in him brother! Gene rolls his eyes and says that’ll be coming up later tonight, so unless you’re planning to call the WCW Hotline for huge news on option six, don’t go away! On the other hand, Meng and Orndorff have yet to drop a tag team match since they began teaming. Unfortunately the crowd didn’t seem to get very into this match, no matter what our resident old school tag specialists the Express throw into the match. The outcome is so predicted that a sign in the crowd quips “Rock nad Roll never forgets the beating they get tonight!” The US Tag titles find a new home when instead of Gibson coming in for the hot tag, he runs straight into Meng latching on the Tongan Deathgrip, and its paralyzing effects put Robert flat on his back for a pinfall.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners and NEW WCW United States Tag Team Champions: Wonderful Destruction Crew</em></p><p><em> Rating: C</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Morton comes back and tries to break it up, but Orndorff catches him with a running forearm smash! Meng keeps the Tongan locked onto Gibson as referee Brady Boone tries to break things up to no success. Dusty himself climbs into the ring and shoves Boone out of the ring, as he jumps around flaunting his men’s newly won titles. Orndorff sets Ricky up for a piledriver. A sign is quickly spotted that says “Destroying the Express” and that’s exactly what they’re doing!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> But here comes cavalry! “The Natural” and “The Enforcer” come sprinting out of the back, Arn bashing Orndorff out of the piledriver before he could do it! Dusty saw them coming and got out of the ring as fast as he could, but Meng was too entranced in his Deathgrip and he gets kicked away by Dustin before Anderson clotheslines him out of the ring! Meng tries to get back in the ring, but Dusty and Paul hold him back, as Dustin yells to them that he found a partner! He says that it seems like each week they get stronger, no matter how many steps forward we make. He says that Randy Savage has been walking around like he runs the place since he first set foot in WCW, and it is about time that someone show him that none of us are afraid of him and his brand of psychotic! “The Dragon” says that he’s played Savage’s games before and won, and at SuperBrawl one-on-one and tonight in the big six-man tag, it will be no different!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RobertFuller.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/SteveAustin.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> We head to footage marked “Earlier Today” where Colonel Robert Parker is talking on the phone. He says to the man on the other end “Yes … Why, of course! … So when? … Two weeks? That’s just wonderful!” He laughs, but excuses himself and hangs up quickly when Stunning Steve Austin walks into the room. Austin throws down his bags and starts complaining to a stuttering Colonel about how he can’t believe that fossil Bockwinkel is trying to fine him for his little display of standing up to Sting last week, and again for his celebration the week before! He says it’s Bockwinkel going mad with power, like usual, trying to hold him down, but he won’t win, eh eh! Because Austin’s wanted Sting or Flair or any of them in the ring for a long time and it’s about damn time he gets somewhere! Parker tells him to just calm down a bit, but Austin doesn’t. He tells Parker he has Sting calling him out later, he has to answer or else he looks like a fool! So he wants to get the boys together, straighten out some plans; where’s DDP? Parker says that well, Dallas just hasn’t felt like things were working out, so he’s taking some time away from the Stable. Austin tells him sarcastically “Great, so one less person for backup; why don’t I just give up my title right now?” Parker stammers around, saying that he’ll call in the Armstrongs, as Austin sits down and starts lacing up his boots and Parker looks at the phone nervously.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C- </em></p><p><em> Notes: Parker struggled a bit with improvising.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>A graphic shows us that the match agreed to a week ago will take place next week on Saturday Night, as “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson will face off with “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper!<p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/KimberlyPage.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Kim Doll is backstage with Piper himself, and she asks for a few thoughts about next week’s match. HOW OLD IS SENIOR?!!” and also “Don’t break a hip, Dory!” Vader starts this match highly upset at what happened last week, rushing at Dory with almost murderous intent – but Funk uses the rules to his advantage, stalling “The Monster” at every turn by getting out of the ring before he can get started. When the two finally meet in the center of the ring, he has Vader so frustrated that he immediately swings wildly and Funk ducks, peppering Vader with big punches of his own! Commentary talk about how Dory has seen it all in his storied career, and he knows every trick in the book. Dory has Vader rocked, and the fans are all behind him! But just as he’s ready to deliver a blow that would knock Vader off his feet, Vader comes back with a one-two punch that puts Dory on his back! A sign in the crowd says that “Vader is Funkin’ with Dory!” as it appears he’s not just Funking him, he’s about to end him! To his credit, Hawk accepts the challenge from last week, as he doesn’t come to the ring with Dusty Rhodes; instead, Dusty takes Bobby Heenan’s spot on commentary during this match. Scott hopes that a front row’s sign is correct, as it reads “Steiner Brothers Pictures presents…….The Ass Kicking of the Century!” Hawk and Steiner have a very physical match, quite reminiscent of the one last week between Animal and Rick, the difference being that the crowd are more tired for this one than they were last week. Scott impresses with a few high angle suplexes, keeping Hawk off-balance, but every time Hawk comes back with bullying tactics to regain an edge. One fan is prompted to hold up a sign that says “Scott is a Warrior too!” In the end, Hawk reaches down deep – into his jeans pockets, and produces a pair of what appear to be brass knuckles, catching Scott in the stomach with the weapon when he tried to hit a Frankensteiner on him! Steiner goes down with the wind knocked out of him, and Hawk throws the object out of the ring – completely unseen by Dusty – and picks up the very, very tainted win. Kip goes over to help Macho, but Steamboat pops out of the ring with a suicide dive, as Dustin and Bubba are counted as the legal men in the match when the bell sounds because they’re toe-to-toe throwing punches like bombs at one another in center ring! Senior Official Tommy Young has his hands full for the whole match, as he can barely blink an eye without having this body or that body flying into the ring to help or hurt someone in the ring! Everyone in the match gets their time to shine, as the KoW lay a special beating on Rhodes at one point, but the WCW side are able to isolate Kip for a little while as well. The end of the match sees Randy Savage ready to put his coup ’de grace on Steamboat with an axehandle to the outside railing, when “The Loose Cannon” shoves him off the top rope! Rhodes and Rogers are fighting in the aisleway as “The Dragon” climbs into the ring. California Kip meets him with a kick to the gut as he prepares to hit the veteran with his Silicon Valley Slam, but Steamboat hooks his arm and, in a scene eerily reminiscent to Savage, he shifts his weight to take Kip down into a pinfall to get the win! Savage pounds on the apron after the bell sounds, as Steamboat has gotten one over on him on this night, his message being clear: I’ve done this to you once, I can still do it again!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners: Ricky Steamboat, Brian Pillman, and Dustin Rhodes</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Right before our final break of the evening, Ric Flair looks ready to go out to the ring, as he’s talking briefly with Arn Anderson. Flair is decked out in one of his fine suits, shaking hands with Jesse and throwing a long “Whoooo” out to the appreciative Iowa crowd. Hollywood Hogan comes out to the sound of “Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)” to a much different fanfare, loud boos littering the arena as he walks to the ring in his black leather pants and black “KoW” sleeveless t-shirt, using the spraypainted World Heavyweight Championship like a guitar. Tony Schiavone says that he’s appalled by this man who once was so loved, now just acting so self-centered, just because he feels that he is “above” being here in WCW, above competing with men like Ric Flair, and Sting, and Ricky Steamboat. Jesse Ventura begins his interview, by saying that he is proud to bring together the two men who will do battle at SuperBrawl in Roanoke, Virginia, for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship inside a fifteen foot high steel cage. He says that he wants to get thoughts from both men, and he would ask that they allow one another to speak before interrupting.</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood Hogan speaks first, saying that he wants to remind everyone that he has no problem stepping foot inside a steel cage – he’s done so against far bigger and meaner men than Ric Flair in his career, and every time, he’s come out on top! Hogan says that it doesn’t matter what tricks “The Nature Girl” thinks he has up his sleeve, Hollywood has beaten them so far every time. He decrees that the KoW are what is running wild now, pointing out signs in the crowd for the Kings, including one that says “Bow Down to The Kings of Wrestling” and using that as his reason to say that even in WCW, even as he and his brothers have been beating WCW wrestlers silly, the crowd are still on his side! Because what they’re saying is the truth, that WCW and its stars will always be second best compared to Hollywood Hogan, and his Kings of Wrestling!</p><p> </p><p> Ric Flair takes in all that the champion has to say, and he very calmly takes off his jacket. He says that Hogan is right – he’s never lost a high stakes cage match. But just the same, he’s never beaten Ric Flair without assistance, and that is assistance he will not have inside the steel. Whether it is Roddy Piper, whether it’s Bubba Rogers, whether it’s his Queen on the outside of the ring, he’s always had help in their matches. For once, Hollywood Hogan will be forced to face Ric Flair all on his own, and that is why he chose a steel cage match! Flair says that he knows he can defeat Hollywood one-on-one – but is Hogan that confident?</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood laughs it off, saying that Flair better make sure that Anderson or Dustin better be allowed in the ring with Flair, or else he may just get what he’s asking for! A fan’s sign is seen in the background saying “A War with the Kings!” as Flair responds that the only way we will truly be able to know who is the best, is for both of them to meet in single combat, steel cage keeping out any outside factors. Because there is still one thing that Hollywood Hogan cannot say he has ever done in his storied career: completely and fully defeat “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. And until he does that, he’s never going to have another sleepless night. When Hogan’s career finally ends, there will be one asterisk at the bottom of the page – Ric Flair. Hollywood squares up to Flair, saying that he makes it sound as if Ric Flair will be so remembered as Hollywood Hogan ever will be; he’s wrong. Instead, Ric Flair’s career will be the footnote, just another man who wasn’t as big an icon as men like Hogan and Piper. Flair smiles, saying that Hogan may be right. But he knows who will outshine even Hollywood in due time – the man who Hogan couldn’t defeat at Starrcade.</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood is incensed, and he answers Flair with a punch! Ventura bails out of the ring as Flair chops Hogan across the chest, and the two men begin fighting all around the ring! Security finally start to hit the ring, trying to split the two apart. The show fades as a fan holds up a very long sign into the hard camera saying something about Randy Savage and a doctor, but just as importantly, a host of officials holding apart champion and challenger for SuperBrawl!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: A </em></p><p><em> Notes: All three men improvised well in this segment.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWMainEvent-1.jpg</span><p> <strong>WCW Main Event</strong></p><p> <em>Announcers: Gordon Solie, Eric Bischoff, and Bobby Heenan</em></p><p><em> Rating: C+</em></p><p> </p><p> Saturday Night recap video: Hollywood Hogan and Ric Flair on The Body Shop (A*)</p><p> Ichii Yazaki d. I have two small notes to make, in the interest of keeping you all informed. For one, I've imported the locations file used in the Main Event mod, because I'm just getting so tired of only seeing the same handful of arenas, especially for pay per views. So if you see an arena pop up that has been shut down in between 1988 and 1994, that's the reason. Also, I've been thinking as of late, that ya know, this is 1994/95 WCW. That being said, things have been taking themselves WAY too seriously on my shows. I think in the very near future, it's gonna be time for some campy fun to break up the seriousness....</p>

WCW Saturday Night full card

“Hot Rod” Roddy Piper w/Jimmy Hart vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson

In a perfect world Arn would win this one... I just don't foresee him winning vs. Piper. I hope I'm wrong though!

The Stud Stable w/Col. Robert Parker vs. Sting & Stars’n Stripes

Keep Sting strong!!!

“The Monster” Vader w/Sonny Onoo vs. The Playboys & “Wildfire” Tommy Rich

Lord Steven Regal w/Baron Tomas vs. Cactus Jack

Perhaps due to Vader interference?

“Hot Rod” Roddy Piper w/Jimmy Hart vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson

Comments: Toss a coin really... but as much as I love Arn - Piper should have this one.

The Stud Stable w/Col. Robert Parker vs. Sting & Stars’n StripesComments: I don't see Sting winning this feud with Austin so he's got to get the wins in here early and a S&S association with the Stinger will help move them up the tag ranks.

“The Monster” Vader w/Sonny Onoo vs. The Playboys & “Wildfire” Tommy Rich

Comments: Yeah.... that's not happening....

Lord Steven Regal w/Baron Tomas vs. Cactus Jack

Comments: Bang Bang! Regal's weeks of Terra Ryzing JPL are coming back to bite him... although with Vader on the card anything can happen I guess...

Baron Leonard Tomas vs. JPL

Comments: Doesn't take a Genius to figure this one out... ho... ho... and indeed... ho...

Fun Fan Signs: VADER'S GETTING FUNKED UP!

Comments on Previous Show: Good to see The Funks had a cunning plan after all - you've done a great job of reflecting the wily madness that is Terry Funk! Loving JPL being Hogan's protege... and believable too - he'd latch on to the master backstage politician wherever he was - just turns out he was in WCW when it happened and not WWF... maybe he'll get married to Garrett Bischoff in a civil ceremony in your timeline!

<p>Finally sat down and caught up with this! Agreed with all of the positive comments so far, this keeps getting better and more interesting. Poor Sting though, beats the champ in a PPV main event, beats the second in command for the next one .... then he gets in the US title picture? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> He's all over the card though which can only bode well for the man (Austin) who takes him out.</p><p> </p><p>

They talk about how last week Jesse’s Body Shop was the home of one of the most intense face to face meetings in wrestling history when Hollywood Hogan and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair shared their thoughts about SuperBrawl and the fifteen foot high steel cage, and Ventura says that he will again take to the ring tonight at the top of the hour to interview WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel. He says that he has some very hard-hitting questions that the commissioner needs to answer. A sign in the crowd says that “CACTUS JACK IS GOD!” while another reads “The Un-Royalz!” He does finally climb into the ring, and between his Lordship’s mannerisms and Cactus’s ability to not only play it up but also keep the crowd invested in a match that seems like it should’ve been a huge style clash. The two make it work very well though, putting on a great back and forth match for the Long Beach fans. Jack runs into the numbers game when the Baron interrupts him in the midst of a push for the win, but some assistance comes in the form of JPL! Getting down to business, he says that last week he showed Hogan that there is no fear, there is no backing down in Ric Flair. Flair will stand there for every punch, every chop, maybe even every low blow, in the effort of winning back the only title in this country that matters, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Gene changes gears and turns to Dustin, who says that he looks forward to SuperBrawl because he’s going to take something away from his father, that being the undefeated streak of his Wonderful Destruction Crew. Arn finishes the segment out, saying that at SuperBrawl, he will be proud to help Dustin do this, but tonight it’s all about “The Enforcer” and Roddy Piper. He says that Piper made it sound two weeks ago like the two of them had something in common since both of them have never held world gold, but what Piper seems to forget is that it’s the ONLY thing they have in common. Bockwinkel stands in the ring and says that he’s happy to be on the show this week, but he will apologize if this visit is short because he needs to get back to business. He says how hard it is keeping this place running at top shape, making WCW the best wrestling on the planet for all of the fans! Jesse says that Nick needs to just hold on for a minute, because he has some hard-hitting questions for him as a journalist that he needs answers for, and most of them deal with the TV champion, Brian Pillman! The crowd cheer for Brian’s mention, as Nick shakes his head. He says he doesn’t really want to go into the subject of Mr. Pillman much more than he has to, but Jesse insists, saying that he’s known Nick for a long, long time; he never gets his feathers so ruffled like he has over Brian. Saying that he’ll fire him when he loses the TV title? Jesse says that is incredibly harsh motivation, especially for someone who the fans that Nick just pandered toward come to see and tune in to watch. Bockwinkel says that what’s gotten under his skin is how Brian has been walking around acting as if he knows something, when he doesn’t know anything. He’s just a crazed man on a tear, and in his day you don’t give to the men who try to bully those around him, you push them off to the side. He talks about how the TV title doesn’t mean as much now that it’s been on Brian, because it’s merely a prop to him, and that rubs Nick the wrong way. He says that everything about the way Pillman’s been acting in the past few months has been unsuitable to a champion of this great company. Jesse says what about the rumors that Brian has been talking about, that Nick has been a corrupt official in WCW?</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>“Yeah, what about that, Nicky?”</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman2.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Out of the back comes “The Loose Cannon” in person! Pillman slides into the ring, crashing the party with his presence. Pillman says that he wants to be right here, looking Nick right in the eyes to see him answer the charges Brian has put forth to him. Bockwinkel furrows his brow, saying that he has no idea what Brian is talking about. Nick says that he has done a lot for WCW to be on top of the wrestling world ever since he was appointed commissioner earlier this year, he has not been corrupt as much as what he is just trying to put on a good, family friendly show that can be enjoyed by wrestling fans of all ages. Just because he wants to protect impressionable children by doing away with bad influences on his shows, somehow that makes him corrupt? Jesse says that it isn’t that, but it seems as though Bockwinkel has been especially hard on men such as Brian here and United States Heavyweight champion Stunning Steve Austin! “The Body” asks if it is really a conspiracy against the two men like he’s said for so long, or does it run deeper than that?</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>“You better start talkin’ son, cause I want to know too!”</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/SteveAustin.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The US champion now joins us, as Bockwinkel is starting to turn red at all these interruptions and accusations! Austin says that it has seemed like Bockwinkel has had it in for him ever since he became commissioner, and he thinks maybe it’s because Nick sees some of himself in Austin – a man who is the best wrestler around, who doesn’t give a crap what the fans think as long as he gets the job done. Nick replies that Austin needs to stop thinking so highly of himself, there is no connection between the two of them! Nick says that he’s known for a long time that Austin is no good, and now the rest of the world is getting to see how vulgar and uncouth he is. Austin says that Nick can hide behind “doing it for the fans” for only so long, but at some point, somebody somewhere will find out just what game exactly he is playing, and when it happens, he hopes to be there to shove it in Bockwinkel’s face. Oh, and speaking of things being put in his face… Austin flips Nick off! He turns and leaves, as Nick says that he and Pillman deserve one another, both of them are horrible individuals! But before Brian can leave, Nick says that he has one more piece of business for him – naming of the official for the TV title match at SuperBrawl. Bockwinkel says that before tonight, he would have gladly let it be one of WCW’s own amazing referees, not that Pillman would deserve it. But now? Bockwinkel says that he’s watched Brian parade around with that title for far too long, and maybe it is time he takes matters into his own hands – the referee will be the commissioner himself! He wishes Brian “bad luck” before saying that he’ll call the match as impartially as Pillman deserves! We go to a commercial break as the commissioner and Brian are face-to-face, with Jesse holding them back and thanking everyone for watching The Body Shop this week!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C+</em></p><p><em> Notes: Pillman worked well when improvising, while Jesse enjoyed the freedom of it.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Sting2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/MarcusBagwell.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ThePatriot.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Mean Gene is backstage when we return, and he brings in his guests, three men who will be teaming tonight on WCW Saturday Night, Marcus Bagwell and The Patriot – Stars ‘n Stripes – and “The Stinger”! They call out Rogers and Roddy Piper, Simmons saying that it started with Piper attacking him and it will end when he puts the old man out of his misery! Piper and Rogers emerge after a moment, stepping into the ring with both of them. Martel says that they have a challenge for them – a tag team match at SuperBrawl! Piper and Bubba look to one another and discuss it, before Roddy nods his head yes! The Kings turn to leave – when Piper turns around and pokes Ron in the eye! BG holds his stomach and pantomimes throwing up, as Brad remains fairly stone-faced. Austin says that Sting and Bagwell and Patriot can wave their little flags all they want to get the people to cheer for them, the Stud Stable don’t care what anybody thinks about them! Now that they’ve lost DDP, it’s gonna be a brand new day for the Stable, the three of them will be getting things done in the ring. Austin says that he hopes Nick Bockwinkel is watching what he does to the latest “golden boy” that is coming for his United States title, because he’s gonna send Sting back not needing makeup to look black and blue! Austin says that he hopes Nick makes himself a referee for one of his title defenses sometime like he has with Brian, because the first time he dares cross Stunning Steve, he won’t hesitate to drop him with a Stunner like he has so many other people lately! Gordon asks Colonel Parker who he was talking to last week on the phone, and Parker avoids the question each way Solie asks it, before the Stable finally just decree the interview to be over and walk out. Dusty talks about how he wants his son to see what it’s like to be out there with a cohesive unit, like Orndorff and Meng, his Wonderful Destruction Crew; the undefeated, new United States Tag Team Champions! He emphasizes on the word “undefeated” repeating it three times to let it sink in. He says that when the two of them team on their own, nobody has defeated them, and if that hasn’t changed against tag veterans like the Rock ‘n Roll Express, how can it change against a scrub team like his son and Arn Anderson?</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>When we come back from commercials, Tony Schiavone says that he has some footage that happened during the break. He says that apparently we found out where Paul Orndorff was, as he aided Randy Savage as he finally found “The Dragon” Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat starts to answer him, but it’s a trap as Randy Savage attacks from behind! The two men put the boots to Steamboat as he’s lying on the concrete floor! Savage says that he has something “The Dragon” will remember, and now we focus on what’s in his hand – a ring bell! Paul lifts Ricky up as Savage brandishes it in front of the weakened Steamboat, and he’s about to attack with it when the strangest of people comes to the rescue!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/CactusJack.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Cactus Jack steps in and pulls the weapon away from Savage, the bell clanging against the ground as Jack helps Steamboat to run the duo away! Robert Parker vs. Sting & Stars ‘n Stripes</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Austin points out a sign in the crowd saying “Sting is about to get STUNNED!!!!” while another says that this is “A Star-STUDded and Striped Match!” Austin starts this match against The Patriot, and this one shows that not everyone in the match has to be completely over in order for it to be a very good matchup. The two tag teams of the match shine when in the ring with their main event counterparts, Austin in particular looking rather vulnerable due to his cocky attitude toward Patriot and Bagwell. One of the most notable segments of this match is at one point when BG Armstrong is in the ring. He has Marcus down on the mat following a pointed kneedrop to the face, when he stands up and looks to Sting, grabbing his crotch toward him! Tony decries that as completely unprofessional behavior and says that Nick Bockwinkel should have a look at that. Jesse wonders if he will or not, he puts on a good front but is he only after Austin and Pillman or is it anybody? Ventura also takes time to put over that Austin is calling his version of the Diamond Cutter the “Stunner”, he and Bobby saying that they like the name, while Tony just comments on how effective it has been as of late. The end of the match is when Sting gets a hot tag from Bagwell, who had been getting worked over in the Stable corner, just as Austin is tagged in! The two men who will meet at SuperBrawl trade punches with one another as the two tag teams come into the ring as well, turning it into a huge six man brawl! Mark Curtis does all he can to bring order to this chaos, as Patriot clotheslines BG out of the ring and follows him out. Colonel Parker jumps onto the ring apron, and Sting goes after him instead of putting the Scorpion Deathlock on Brad. Bagwell joins him in forcibly pulling The Colonel into the ring, but he had a plan – Parker slips something to Austin, and when Sting is going to put Parker into the Scorpion, Austin throws powder into his face! Sting heads to the outside rubbing his eyes, and Austin dodges a flying clothesline from Bagwell before turning around and blasting him with the Stunner! Parker rolls to the outside as Ausitn makes the cover – Mark Curtis counts the three! The Stud Stable steal this one thanks to Colonel Parker!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners: The Stud Stable</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match result official, the crowd boo loudly as Austin exits the ring. He stops on the apron to hold up his United States Championship, flaunting it at Sting, as well as flaunting a fan’s sign reading “Sting is going to get the Stunning Salute”! “The Stinger” finishes checking up on Bagwell, and then he takes off toward Stunning Steve! The champion quickly drops from the apron and sprints backstage, as Sting can be heard on camera saying that he’ll “be seeing you at SuperBrawl, coward!”</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>A video plays from two weeks ago to show the closing moments of the confrontation between Roddy Piper and Arn Anderson, which set up our main event this evening. The crowd seem to be especially into this, with signs everywhere such as “The Enforcer Pays the Piper!”, “Enforce the Skirt”, and “It’s not a kilt—it’s a SKIRT!”, which two of those infuriate Piper on his way to the ring. The two set about putting on a wrestling clinic once they get into the swing of the match. However this one ends up being rife with disruptions. At one point Meng and Orndorff show up and grab Arn’s attention, leading to Piper gaining the advantage again. They hang out around the ring then, continually getting in Anderson’s way. Until backup comes out in the form of Dustin Rhodes, and also Ron Simmons! Simmons gets on the apron to get Piper’s attention, but he doesn’t actually do anything until he and Dustin run off the US Tag champs! Once its one-on-one again, Roddy tries to lock on a sleeper, but “Double A” blocks it and after sending Piper to the ropes, Roddy blocks the spinebuster but doesn’t get away from a DDT! Anderson covers and gets a surprising three count! Piper leaves the ring kicking the ring steps in anger on his way out as Arn celebrates in the ring as the show closes!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner: Arn Anderson</em></p><p><em> Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWMainEvent-1.jpg</span><p> <strong>WCW Main Event</strong></p><p> Announcers: Gordon Solie, Tony Schiavone, and Eric Bischoff</p><p> Rating: C</p><p> </p><p> Hakushi d.
