Cracking show 3rdString, I always look forward to reading your shows and this knocked it out of the park!

Thanks! Been trying to get to bed earlier these days, but Welcome to the Jungle kept me up a bit last night. Glad you liked it!

WINNER - Gilmore in 24:04. Tom "Angry" Gilmore is the NEW SWF Supreme Heavyweight Champion.

And as I just realized, Angry Gilmore has also become the first Triple Crown champion in SWF history! Did a quick check of the tag team title history and Gilmore did hold the tag belts once with Joe Sexy as part of Sexual Aggression.

As for the spoilers, hmmm...no comment for the meantime. And Rickymex already answered the Digimon question, as I see.

Thanks, E-V! The inspiration for the ring name Bobby Bruce actually came from Overkill's vocalist/bassist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth. Not sure if I want Bobby Bruce/Ernest Youngman helping turn the Partay Dudez into a boy band Spirit Squad, though. We already have Calum Nelson and probably Justin Sensitive on deck to turn the Partay Dudez into a full-fledged kayfabe boy band with more than two members.

Minute Maid Sports Bar

After Welcome to the Jungle, the mood was euphoric as usual. Our ratings benefited from what was probably the best-arranged special set of the year, the Guns 'n' Roses tribute band the SWF hired for the pre-show brought back memories of the classic five-man lineup of Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven, and the theater actor who played Rashaan Watson's mother was brilliant. Rashaan was the 12-year-old boy whom Steve Frehley insulted in his promo, the son of our James Earl Jones sound-alike voiceover Ron Watson, and he too did a good job putting on the waterworks and appearing hurt by his hero's actions.

But not everyone was in the mood for celebrating at the post-PPV after-party. Inasmuch as Richard Eisen tried to keep the Q3 2013 Future Endeavors List hush-hush, information had leaked out about the SWF Superstars whose contracts would, and wouldn't be renewed. For their invaluable roles as manager/announcer and announcer/head researcher respectively, Dawn the Cheerleader and Duane Fry were due to sign new contracts. Des Davids' contract was also set to expire soon - big things were expected out of him when he moved from USPW to Supreme, and he was living up to most of those expectations. He was a cinch to be rehired. As for those who weren't likely to re-sign, they were predictably bonding together and drowning their sorrows in booze.

"You shoulda seen it coming when Peter told you you'd become Lobby again," rued Freddy Garcia. "Look at me, flamboyant as I was upon joining Supreme. They're jobbing me out big-time and you shouldn't be surprised if they do the same to you. It happened to Joe Sexy, it's gonna happen to us as well."

"It's been happening since 2011," complained Bart Biggins. "Hardly anyone remembers our tag team title runs anymore."

"Now we're just comedic lackeys to Kosher," added Bart's older brother Brett.

"Hey, at least I'm on the way out because of age and injuries," said Freddy, turning his direction to Marc DuBois. "Unlike our good friend Marky, who's only 26 yet in the doghouse because he can't put down that doobie."

Marc shot Freddy a mock-angry glare and gave him the dirty finger. "F--- you, Freddy. Nobody's gonna give me shit for smokin' up when marijuana legalization spreads nationwide."

Meanwhile, Chris Morrisette remained silent as Bart, Brett, Freddy and Marc bemoaned their fate as potential future endeavors in the coming weeks. "What's the matter, Chris?", asked Freddy, who was doing most of the talking. "The SWF won. Youngsters like Spade, The Cali Dragons and those goddamn cocky Partay Dudez have taken our places in the midcard. You might as well admit it. You're Supreme Surplus now, just like the rest of us."

"Supreme's only got ten days left to negotiate," warned Bart. "You might wanna start fieldin' some calls to Cornell or Bryden."

"Wanda's single," teased DuBois, referring to USPW CEO Belle Bryden by her former ring name. "Think about it, man. Wanda Fish and Lobster Warrior. Makes for a cute underwater couple, doesn't it?"

"You know what, Marc?", said Chris, who had never liked the original Can't Miss Prospect. "You've always been full of shit. Must be because of all the dope you keep smokin'. I may have put Kosher over, but that doesn't mean I'm not re-signing. Excuse me for a moment..."

With that, Chris Morrisette left the "Disgruntled Potential Firings" table and looked for some other form of company in the crowded bar.

Over at our table, Richard Eisen was partying with us. Earlier, he had tried to put on some smooth moves and seduce the former Seduction, but would-be High Stakes rookie Jacob Jett, who was there with his girlfriend Katie Cameron, had politely told Mr. Eisen that Seduction/Alanis Springsteen has been dating Darryl Devine for several years. Embarrassed, he moved on over to our table, where he proceeded to make us feel really, really awkward.

"You know what, Greg," began Mr. Eisen, "your dad is one of the best technical wrestlers of all time, and it would be really swell if we'd see that Proton Lock once again." The big boss then stood up and challenged Greg Gauge in his gravelly voice. "C'mon, Gregory! Proton Lock me for these young whippersnappers! Show 'em what your daddy taught 'ya!"

Reluctantly, Greg stood up to demonstrate the Proton Lock on old man Eisen. "I TAP OUT!!!", screamed the boss, who then asked Greg's twin brother Matt to give it a try. "Now how about Matthew Gauge try the same move on me, one more time with FEELING? Let's see how those Parts Unknown make themselves known!" Again, the same result, the same gravelly yell of "I TAP OUT!!!"

Needless to say, all of us felt really, really awkward, not the least Dawn the Cheerleader, whom Mr. Eisen had come on to several times in the past. "When is that creeper leaving, babe?", whispered Dawn in my ear.

"I wish I knew," I replied, careful not to get overheard. Mr. Eisen was drunk just two hours after we all headed to the bar, and he was acting like the world's oldest teenager. "I'm going to the john."

So off to the men's room I went, hoping to get away from the increasingly intoxicated and immature Mr. Eisen and get some peace of mind. As I entered the men's room, I couldn't help but notice three upper-card guys exiting the john together, keeping their voices as low as possible.

I knew it. Remo was, just as Charlie had warned me, the newest member of the Klubb. It wasn't Jack Bruce, as Marc DuBois had once hinted. It was Remo all along, and he had been showing signs of being in with those guys ever since it became official he was to drop the World Heavyweight strap at Supreme Challenge. Prior to Welcome to the Jungle, he'd rip Peter Michaels and the other creative guys a new one for asking him to put Christian Faith over. And he chafed at the idea of a draw with anybody, even if it was a champ like Jack or Tom Gilmore. It seemed that he was trying to develop his casual friendship with Klubbers Eric Eisen and Brandon James to the point where he could get a God-push, thanks to Klubb politics.

Chris, on the other hand, was a mystery. I knew he had just a couple of weeks remaining before his contract ran out. But was he trying to ensure job security by joining up with these slimeballs? I hoped not. I really, really hoped not. Chris was a great guy who probably deserved another year in Supreme, but this was not the way to curry favor with Mr. Eisen and Peter Michaels.

Say it ain't so, Chris.

OOC - Uprising and the Week 3 prediction keys will be up in a few hours, but I've decided to open up voting for the Under Control PPV while early. This will be the first of possibly two surveys (depending on how the storylines go), and results of the first survey will be announced at Week 4 August Supreme TV, which is "Supreme TV @ 20." You'll notice some wild cards here...workers whose names appear in more than one category. This may be because the worker is somewhere between being a legit main eventer and an upper midcarder, for example, or part of a tag team. So if Eric Eisen, for instance, tops the voting in Supreme Heavyweight and North American, I'll have him take part in the title match most appropriate for his push, or most relevant to his storylines.

Jerry Eisen notices how angry Mainstream and Stevie appear compared to previous outings, and they use that anger to demolish Noelson and Barnaby in little more than three and a half minutes - Mainstream wins this by pinning Noelson with the Pontiac to Home. WINNERS - 24/7 Partay Dudez in 3:39 <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - Giedroyc vs Eisen Replay (74/B-)</div> This is a rather peculiar choice for a match to replay, but we see it anyway, as Jack Giedroyc and Dawn the Cheerleader are both guesting on Mainstream and Stevie's "Bubblegum Factory" interview segment. <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - 24/7 Partay Dudez Interview Giedroyc and Dawn (66/C+)</div> In this interview, Mainstream and Stevie seem to be regaining their fun-loving side, though Jack Giedroyc keeps needling the Partay Dudez about their loss to Hero Squad in the tag team title match at Welcome to the Jungle. Dawn once again denies any friction being generated by The Awesomeness, even as Mainstream keeps pushing her to spill the beans and Stevie criticizes her for creating a stable without letting The Awesomeness know. After a few minutes, Giedroyc and Dawn have had it with the interview, and walk out of the "Bubblegum Factory" set in a huff. <div style="text-align:center;">The Cali Dragons vs The Eisen Entourage (51/D)</div> The Cali Dragons are described right off the bat by Marvin Earnest as the "Must-Not-See Tag Team", as he criticizes them relentlessly for being boring, no-charisma workers and the polar opposite of the beer-drinking, hard-partying Entourage. That said, both Frankie Perez and Mikey James make it a hard fight for the Entourage, with Perez nearly making Franklin Huggins submit to the P-Clutch, but it's Eric Eisen's frat brothers who pick up the win, thanks to an outside assist from El Duque Nicolas and Paul Huntingdon. As Huntingdon distracts Shane Stones, El Duque enters the ring and blasts Mikey James with his finishing move, the Duque Buster (a.k.a. Lopez Buster in Mexico), showing that he's still angry over being the last elimination at the number one contender battle royal a few Uprisings back. Dozer Smith adds insult to injury with an Inverted Piledriver as the Entourage picks up the win. WINNERS - The Eisen Entourage in 7:31 <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - Frederique Rants About Spade (44/D-)</div> F. Garcia - Hellooooooo, Oklahoma City! Why, all you people in the audience put the Thunder down under, and you know I've got a lot of that for you, Spencer Spade. Such a waste of matinee idol good looks, hangin' out with that dreamy, yet dastardly Rich Money and talkin' about nobody else but yourself when you get the chance to speak. Arrogance, my dear Spencer, is a turn-off. (blows a flying kiss to the crowd) So how about it, Spencer...are you ready to come out and play? (wags his finger as Spade's music begins to play in the background) <div style="text-align:center;">Frederique Antonio Garcia vs Spencer Spade (w/Richie Pangrazzio Jr.) (56/D+)</div> And the fall of the Freddy continues. Though Frederique A. Garcia remains brilliant with those flamboyant promos, he's clearly keeping the gate at this point in his career. Garcia is able to floor Spade with the Romeo is Bleeding at 3:00, but Spade goes over with a little help from a Richie Pangrazzio Jr. distraction to win this match and gain some momentum after losing his Shooting Star title to Darryl Devine. WINNER - Spade in 4:35 <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - Benson Impersonates Cage (58/D+)</div> These guys sure have a lot of ideas up their sleeves. Just when you thought High Concept ran out of workers to impersonate, we've now got Elmo Benson as dirty, stinking hippie "Rusty Cage" (and predictably entering to Soundgarden's song of the same name) and Greg Black wearing a mask and apparently using the name "Antacid." "Rusty Cage" - Candy, puppies, love, green grass and high tides, good cop, bad cop, feel alright, on a warm San Franciscan Night. My name is Rusty Cage, and I'm sure you get the irony of my entering the ring to that '90s rock 'n' rock music. Isn't that right, Rolaids? ("Antacid" merely nods his head) We call our two-man commune EMPHASIS ON HIGH Concept, and we don't just pretend to be genuine '60s hippies...we actually SMELL like genuine '60s hippies, and WRESTLE like genuine '60s hippies some 44 years after Woodstock. Losing is groovy...only if you're Rusty Cage. Have anything to add to that, Tums? ("Antacid" again nods his head and impatiently leads "Rusty Cage" and a non-impersonating Haley Buck to the ring.) You'll have to pardon my friend Mylanta. I think my repugnant odor has left him unable to speak. <div style="text-align:center;">"EMPHASIS ON HIGH Concept" (w/Haley Buck) vs Acid Tripp (68/C+)</div> We've seen Acid Tripp get disqualified quite a few times on Uprising, but could this be their chance to get a clean win? Not likely, because the faux hippie Roger Cage and his masked buddy Acid aren't afraid to illegally double-team their impersonators, "Rusty Cage" and "Antacid." We get a briefly entertaining moment (which Marv Earnest hates) at 3:00, when "Rusty Cage" executes a Stinkface on the real thing and yells "THAT STILL SMELLS BETTER THAN YOU DO!" to the kayfabe "hippie-crite." Despite coming close to winning it with a Make Love Not War/Acid Rain Bomb combo at 5:00, the team known as Acid Tripp loses when Jez McArthuer disqualifies Cage for what must have been his fifth attempt to break up a cover! Again, "The Man" has stuck it to Acid Tripp, and they aren't happy about it. WINNERS - "EMPHASIS ON HIGH Concept" in 6:39 <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - Dawn Psyches Up the Awesomeness (57/D+)</div> As we've got The Awesomeness vs Biggz in Japan up next, Jerry Eisen reminds everyone that Koshiro Ino is clear to wrestle tonight, and Uprising GM Lisa Bowen has booked a Lobster Warrior vs Ino rematch for the United States title as the main event for tonight's Uprising! Meanwhile, Dawn the Cheerleader has left the announce table to psyche up her charges, The Awesomeness, but all her cheering, pom-pom shakes and kicks don't seem to get through to Huey Cannonball and Jefferson Stardust, who are both listening to music on their respective iPods. After Dawn pulls the earphones off Huey and Jeff's ears, she tells them that they'll always be valuable clients, and that a win over Biggz in Japan could draw more attention to them as prospective number one contenders for the tag team belts. Both Awesomeness members nonchalantly nod their heads and proceed to play their air guitar/air drums in preparation for their match. <div style="text-align:center;">The Awesomeness (w/Dawn the Cheerleader) vs Biggz in Japan (w/Koshiro Ino) (61/C-)</div> With Dawn in The Awesomeness' corner, her spot on the announce table is temporarily filled by Koshiro Ino, the first and current SWF United States Champion. Ino continues to tease a possible concussion, speaking in a slurred voice and more broken English than usual, but Jerry Eisen doesn't appear to be buying it. Meanwhile, we see a very open battle between young and (comparatively) old high-flyers, and several near-falls from both teams. At 6:00, Ino stands up momentarily to distract Jefferson Stardust, and the two men argue it out until Darren Smith steps in to break it up. Eventually, The Awesomeness wins it thanks to some heel tactics of their own - Stardust trying to interfere and drawing Smith's attention, and Cannonball taking advantage of the situation and low-blowing Brett-San en route to a Cannonball Run. Smith doesn't see it as he awards the win to The Awesomeness after the three-count. WINNERS - The Awesomeness in 8:11 <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - The Awesomeness Beats Down on Ino (53/D-)</div> Much to Dawn's chagrin, The Awesomeness has recently developed a habit of beating down on anyone or any team, and their victim for the night is Koshiro Ino, who had tried to interfere in the match earlier. As expected, The Awesomeness focuses on Ino's head, considering the possibility he may really be suffering from a (kayfabe) concussion. The beatdown, despite being on the hated Ambassador of Puroresu/Kobra, earns sympathy for no one, as Huey and Jeff's road to a heel turn continues... <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - Lobby Rants About Ino (69/C+)</div> In a high-pitched, excitable voice, Lobster Warrior tells Jerry Eisen that he is now convinced Ino has been faking his concussion, and when reminded that The Awesomeness may have only made things worse, Lobby says he'll be leaving it up to the SWF's medical crew to determine whether Ino can wrestle. For now, Lobby says he's going to do as Nicky Champion said and bring the U.S. title back to the U.S., and he's going to make sure Ino's reign as U.S. champ is..."SNAPPEH." "And by that I mean fast, as in blink-and-you-miss-it fast." explains Lobby. <div style="text-align:center;">ANGLE - McClean Gets Ready (60/C-)</div> <div style="text-align:center;">Joshua Taylor vs Squeeky McClean (w/Richie Pangrazzio Jr.) (65/C)</div> We didn't see Squeeky McClean at Welcome to the Jungle, and Marvin Earnest says it's likely because "that tramp Hannah played him for a fool and pretended to like him, only to go back to that hypocrite patriot Valiant." This match doesn't draw much excitement from the crowd at Abe Lemons Arena, and chances are it's because Taylor and McClean don't have any ongoing feud, and because both rely heavily on technical moves. Squeeky, however, deserves a lot of credit for playing the role of the self-righteous weasel to the hilt, using a variety of illegal moves to gain an advantage. Richie Pangrazzio Jr. also tries to help, tripping Taylor at one point in the match and repeatedly distracting referee Ric Young so McClean can get that chokehold in a little longer. Still, it's Taylor who wins the submission battle, breaking a Clean Out with the ropes and surprising McClean, still in Clean Out position, with a Texas Cloverleaf. Taylor wins the match and McClean gets showered with "YOU TAPPED OUT!" jeers as he and Pangrazzio return to the locker room. Truly not a good month at all for The Almighty Dollar. With all that weighing on Lobster Warrior's mind, he's arguably taking it easy on Ino, avoiding the head and focusing on his usual rest holds and the occasional submission, legsweep and backbreaker. Ino's attack is the same as it always has been - stiff slaps and punches, innovative suplexes such as the Ino Plex, and, at 5:50, a sleeperhold. Lobby is able to break away from that, and comes quite close to covering Ino at 9:00 following a Lobster Trap - he may have won it if not for Bart-San stepping in to interfere. At 11:00, Lobby tries countering an Ino clothesline with one of his own, but the clothesline ends up hitting Ino in the head, aggravating his kayfabe injury. Ino exits the ring and consults with the two doctors, while Bart-San and Brett-San look on in concern. After a few seconds' deliberation, it is decided that Koshiro Ino is not fit to continue the match - he hangs on to the belt, but the match is awarded to Lobster Warrior by referee stoppage. Yes, we may be having a couple more turns before August is over, but will Biggz in Japan be part of it? - I don't think I've seen so many predictors tied - we've got three tied for third, and two tied for sixth. But Croquemitaine takes the lead after Week 2, and he was also the only predictor to get both bonus questions correct!

- Still not quite sure how to go about Chris Morrisette/Lobster Warrior. As you can see, he's one of the five "question marks" with contracts due to expire within the next two months. On the plus side, he's still very consistent in the ring, and I had a lot of fun writing his storyline with John Anderson and Koshiro Ino. Clearly, he's a man suffering from a totally different kind of midlife crisis - to wrestle as Chris, or to wrestle as Lobby? To do things the right way, or to bend the rules on occasion? Unfortunately, he's on time decline, he's 40 years old, and he's likely not be worth a main event push at this point. I may need some time to think this one over.

- Koshiro Ino gained only two popularity points with his U.S. title win. Boooooo.

- But on the other hand, Jack Giedroyc's now back up to 77 from 71. He had actually been at that level in April, following his face turn, but at that time I felt he needed to establish himself more as a face before getting a bigger push. Now the time is right.

- It looks like it's open season on wrestlers turning in this diary. So far we've had Vengeance and The Awesomeness. Des Davids is scheduled to turn in a couple weeks (definitely before Under Control), and apart from that, we've got Biggz in Japan (as if they still matter <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ) and maybe a double-turn before August is done. So that makes eight workers for the months of August and September? WHOA. One thing's for sure - Eric Eisen and his Entourage won't be among those turning. Poor Double E's gonna have to be stuck as a heel (despite his wanting to turn face backstage) because I've got something planned for him in the fourth quarter of 2013.
