WWE July 2012: A New Dawn Truly Arises

Recommended Posts

Using ShawnMichaels82's July 2012 ANDA mod for this dynasty. I know everyone and their dog likes to do the "What WWE would be like if Triple H runs it" scenario, and I must admit, I am doing that as well. Hopefully my writing can give said scenario its own flavor. Also, before going into the mod, I tweaked some things for my game, and I deleted some WWE contracts before starting the game rather than paying a bunch of money to release workers under written deals. Thus, my diary will start the last day of June for storyline purposes. And with Scott Hall being clean lately, I went ahead and moved up him getting clean a full year with a narrative I inserted. Anywho, I'll start posting my diary shortly. And no, I have not forgotten my Main Event Feb 1988 mod. I've been busy on it today as well. :D

<strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">They say all things must come to an end. I never thought I'd see this day because he was such a workaholic. But Vince McMahon, my father-in-law, steps down from his perch as owner of WWE as of tonight at midnight and is handing the company over to me. </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

My wife, Stephanie, will be working behind the scenes as a road agent, which is great because several of the long time road agents such as Gerald Brisco, Jack Lanza, Tony Garea and Pat Patterson have retired and left the business. We still have a great team of road agents, though, with Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko and Harvey Whippleman joining my wife Stephanie on Raw, and Mike Rotunda, John Laurinaitis, Michael Hayes and Sgt. Slaughter will be working with the Smackdown crew.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I've also had to make some touch decisions today. I hate making roster cuts because I hate the thought of someone losing a job, but if you can't cut the mustard, or if you're causing trouble backstage, you've gotta go. Today, I'm letting go of:</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Abraham Washington- Pretty obvious choice. Always taking to Twitter to bash the company and his superiors.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Alex Riley- He's been trying to say all the right things out in public, but I can see right through him. I'm surprised he was smart enough not to speak on how he's been in the doghouse since he showed disrespect to John Cena and Big Show. He pretty much hinted that he'd shoot about his time in WWE. Let him and that other crybaby, Kenn Doane, shoot. Both of them are on my Do Not Rehire list.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Ezekiel Jackson- Not a bad guy at all, but he just doesn't have that charisma right now, not to mention he's still a bit too green for us.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Hornswoggle- This one was actually a mutual decision. He's ready to take a bit of a break from the road, and we don't really have anything in mind for him right now.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

JTG- I remember his former tag team partner, Shad Gaspard, hinting at Shawn Michaels being a backstabber, and waiting till Lance Cade was dead to call him a backstabber. I loved reading what Rudy Boy Gonzalez had to say in response over on IndyWarz.com. JTG has been just like Shad: he hates being told what he needs to hear, yet he asks us how his match was. Well if it sucked, we're gonna tell you it sucked! I remember when John Cena asked me how his first WWE match was way back before he was on TV, and I told him it sucked. He thanked me for my input and would pick my brain on how to get better. Well, we know how well that worked out for John. Just to think, the same could've worked out for JTG. He has the athletic ability and a good look, but he just has a sorry attitude.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Mason Ryan- Someone else who's not a bad guy, but just way too green right now. And he needs to develop a new look somehow so that he doesn't get the Batista chants.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Sakamoto- Just don't really have anything for him right now, and he doesn't seem to have that "it" factor.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Tyler Reks- He wanted to take a break from the business for awhile and asked for his release. It's too bad because he's got the tools to be a big star one day, and he has a unique look to him. But at the same time, I understand him wanting to take some time away from it until he can get that drive back.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">==July, Week 1, Day 1==</span></em></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://imgboot.com/images/hms1310/tripleh20.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">::Development::</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

And so begins the month of July as I look to continue to grow WWE even more while looking to the future rather than doing what my father-in-law was the worst about doing: pushing someone, then stopping their push, then starting them over. If they're over, they're over, is what I say. Anyway, I've called up some talent from Development already: </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Seth Rollins</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Dean Ambrose</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Kassius Ohno</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Leakee</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Leo Kruger</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Mike Dalton</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Paige</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

-Richie Steamboat</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I have big plans in store for Rollins, Ambrose, Ohno and Leakee right now. I'm thinking that Rollins, Ambrose and Leakee could serve as a great trio. However, I need to change Leakee's name, and already have one in mind that he loves: Roman Reigns.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I've also decided to pair up Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno. I've seen tapes of them teaming together as the Kings of Wrestling in ROH and thought they were great. We need some really good tag teams, and this will definitely help our tag team division.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I don't have any plans for Leo Kruger, Mike Dalton, Paige or Richie Steamboat right now, so I'm going to give them some time off. But I knew they wouldn't be happy if they got stuck in development forever because they've pretty much peaked as far as improving in development is concerned. They'll improve better working with some of the experienced workers we have on the roster.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

::Possible Signings::</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Meanwhile, I'm looking to sign a few more workers to the roster. CM Punk is happy that I'm trying to sign Amy Dumas(Lita), which would really be a boost to the Diva's division. She would really help out our younger divas to develop their skills with her experience. I've also put out the call to Ashley Lane, who wrestles for TNA as Madison Rayne. I was pleasantly surprised that she was only on a Pay Per Appearance deal with TNA, which led to me being able to send out a contract for her to look over, then she'll decide if she wants to negotiate with us or not. I'm also looking to the future as I've sent out a contract to Davey Richards for him to look over. He's currently working on PPA deals with New Japan, PWG and Ring Of Honor. And I've reached out to John Layfield to possibly work behind the booth once again. He was such a great color commentator on Smackdown. Reminded me of Jesse "The Body" Ventura with his blatantly heelish commentary.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

::Big Angles::</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Right now we're heading into our annual Money In The Bank PPV. Raw's Money In The Bank Match has been decided, as Chris Jericho, John Cena, The Rock, Mark Henry, Lord Tensai and Zack Ryder are competing in that match. Over on Smackdown, their Money In The Bank Ladder Match will consist of Damien Sandow, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. Though Sin Cara can be a headache backstage sometimes, and has been known for his share of botches. But the fans love him, and he has some pretty good skills to boot. If push comes to shove, I can always book around it if I have to wind up taking him out of this angle.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels and I have been pitching ideas around for our angle. We're trying to figure out a way to hold the match off till Summer Slam. One idea I've pitched that Heyman seems to like is to have Kevin Nash face Lesnar at Money In The Bank, with Lesnar "taking out" Nash at the PPV. Nash loves it as believe it or not, he likes putting over talent if he knows they have what it takes. And he likes helping to advance a good storyline along. With Nash and I being good friends, the story kind of writes itself.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I also went ahead and turned CM Punk heel before the start of the month. Again, it wrote itself. The story is basically Punk is sick and tired of how nothing much has changed with WWE even though he is the WWE Champion. Not closing WrestleMania as WWE Champion helped build toward his heel turn, and he was cool with the idea of not closing the show as WWE Champion the following PPVs to help lead to his recent heel turn. With Paul Heyman as his manager, there's no telling the kind of havoc they can create on TV. I've also turned Miz face and putting him up against Punk. Very easy decision given how Miz put Punk over on his DVD, only for Punk to bury him. That was the catalyst to get their angle started, and it should take off from there.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Kane and Daniel Bryan seem to be having fun doing segments together, and they should make for a great tag team to help get the tag team division going. Cody Rhodes vs. Christian for the Intercontinental Title should be a good feud as well. Christian is pretty much in this feud to help get Rhodes over to that next level. And headlining Smackdown is Sheamus vs. Big Show. I'm getting Sheamus away from the goody two shoes image he's been portraying as face and having him go back to being the Celtic Warrior, where he's a bad ass that happens to be cheered. Now to get ready to book Superstars and Raw for tonight.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

This past Friday, now former WWE owner Vince McMahon had announced that he was retiring from his post effective Sunday night at midnight and handing the reins over to his son-in-law, Triple H. Triple H then announced that a poll was up on WWE.com, asking the WWE Universe who they felt would make the best choice for the new Raw General Manager.

The votes were tabulated today, and in a press conference streamed live on WWE.com at 5 PM EST, Triple H announced that the poll was a tie between Theodore Long and Bret "Hitman" Hart. As such, for now, they will work together as co-GMs. He then stated that Eve had come in dead last, and as such will work as Theodore Long's assistant. Also, in keeping with the voting theme, Triple H has announced that anyone who wants to become GM of Smackdown can run in the Smackdown Your Vote Election, which will come to a head at the upcoming Money In The Bank PPV. So far, Booker T and Mick Foley have thrown their names into the hat.

And speaking of Money In The Bank, Triple H made the two Money In The Bank ladder matches official, announcing that John Cena, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Zack Ryder, Lord Tensai and Mark Henry would represent Raw, while Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Sin Cara, Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler would represent Smackdown.

Triple H has also announced that the WWE Tag Team Titles as of now are vacant due to R-Truth's injury, and that a tournament would soon be held to determine new WWE Tag Team Champions.

Lastly, Triple H announced that while Mysterio is a Smackdown superstar, he is being loaned out to Monday Night Raw for tonight to take part in tag team action. Triple H also announced that from here on out, unless otherwise stated, only consistent tag teams and divas would be allowed to appear on both Raw and Smackdown. This way, both brands could grow and be seen as equal.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW!

LIVE FROM TD GARDEN IN BOSTON, MA!

19,028(SELL OUT!)

-Your announcers are Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Michael Cole. On deck tonight: CM Punk in a non-title match against Kofi Kingston; the Heartbreak Hotel, where Shawn Michaels will have as his guests Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar; John Cena takes on Mark Henry(just added); and Rey Mysterio with a special appearance, teaming up with Zack Ryder to take on Curt Hawkins and Drew McIntyre!

-We open the show with the Miz coming out and calling out CM Punk. Miz says he's seen the "CM Punk: Best In The World" DVD and heard what Punk had to say about him. Miz, needless to say, is irate, because he thought that he and Punk were friends, and feels he's been betrayed after he spoke from the heart about how great he thought Punk was, only for Punk to show his true colors and run him(Miz) down. CM Punk walks out with someone who's no stranger to him, Paul Heyman. Punk proceeds to tell Miz he meant everything he said about him 100% on the DVD, and that if he didn't like it, he could try to prove it against him in a match for the WWE Title, as long as new Raw co-GMs Theodore Long and Bret Hart approve, of course. All of a sudden, three men in black SWAT gear storm the ring and attack the Miz! It's none other than Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, who were called up from FCW earlier today! What's interesting is that Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns only attack Miz, and leave Punk and Heyman alone. After the beatdown, they run out through the crowd, with Punk and Heyman acting puzzled, though Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Michael Cole are all suspicious that Punk and Heyman are in cahoots with them.

Rating: 80

-Epico and Primo defeated Santino Marella and Brodus Clay when Primo pinned Marella after interference from Rosa Mendes.

Rating: 72

-The Miz storms into Theodore Long's office, and he's rather upset about the earlier sneak attack. He wants to face either Ambrose, Rollins or Reigns, but Long tells him that they have not officially signed a Raw contract yet, so he can't make that match. He can, however, give him a match against Lord Tensai. Miz thinks about it, then says he accepts, because he wants to prove that he's on the same level as CM Punk. Long then tells Miz that he's under strong consideration to be the next #1 contender to Punk's WWE Title, and that beating Tensai would erase any doubt that he's the #1 contender.

Rating: 85

-Team Hell No defeated David Otunga and Heath Slater when Bryan made Slater tap out to the No Lock.

Rating: 80

-Up next is the Heartbreak Hotel, and host Shawn Michaels brings out Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Heyman talks about how after Extreme Rules, Lesnar snapped backstage and destroyed anything that wasn't bolted down, and as a result, no one has wanted to face him since. Heyman then reminds Shawn how that he asked for this air time so that if there was anyone brave enough to face Brock Lesnar, they could accept his open challenge for Money In The Bank. "The Game" by Motorhead hits, and Triple H comes out to a huge roar from the fans. Triple H states that as owner, he is opting not to compete at this time, but he has found someone who wants to face Lesnar... an old friend of his, he says. "Diesel Blues" by Jim Johnston hits, and the fans are on their feet as Kevin Nash comes walking down to the ring. Heyman talks to Lesnar, and Lesnar nods his head, followed by Heyman stating that Lesnar accepts and will now face Kevin Nash at Money In The Bank. The two big men stare each other down, but manage not to come to blows before Heyman and Lesnar walk off.

Rating: 100

-Beth Phoenix and Kharma defeated Kelly Kelly and Trish Stratus after Kharma nailed Kelly Kelly with a Big Splash.

Rating: 84

-Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews John Cena about his upcoming match against Mark Henry tonight. Cena proceeds to crack some jokes at Henry's expense, but not before giving Mean Gene some friendly ribbing about his chrome dome, and Mean Gene tries to hold back his laughter like only he can. Cena then goes on to talk about Money In The Bank, and how he hopes it's him and Rock climbing that ladder at the end, fighting to see just who will be able to reach up and grab that briefcase.

Rating: 96

-Chris Jericho and the Usos defeated Michael McGillicutty and the Prime Time Players when Jericho hit McGillicutty with the Code Breaker, leading to the pinfall vicotry.

Rating: 82

-After the match... "IF YOU SMEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLL... WHAT THE ROCK... IS... COOKING." After that, Rock's music hits, and Jericho stands in the ring and watches as The Rock, who he's been exchanging trash talking tweets with all day before Raw tonight, walks down to the ring. The two stare each other down, but much like Lesnar and Nash earlier, they do not come to blows.

Rating: 100

-Zack Ryder and Rey Mysterio defeated Curt Hawkins and Drew McIntyre by pinfall after Mysterio nailed Hawkins with the 619, with Ryder finishing him off with the Rough Ryder and getting the pinfall for his team.

Rating: 85

-Backstage, Eve is washing Theodore Long's feet, payback for how she treated him while working under John Laurinaitis. She also has to wash the feet of her rival, Alicia Fox, who makes a smart ass remark. This angers Eve, and she snaps!

Rating: 72

-Josh Mathews is backstage and is interviewing co-GM Bret Hart. The Hitman mentions that he talked with co-GM Teddy Long and they both agreed it was a great idea to combine both John Cena vs. Mark Henry and Miz vs. Lord Tensai into one gigantic tag team match, and that's coming up next!

Rating: 69

-John Cena and the Miz defeated Mark Henry and Lord Tensai by disqualification when CM Punk ran out and attacked Miz just as he had Henry down for the pinfall after a swinging neckbreaker. Punk threw Miz to the outside, then stomped down on him before walking off.

Rating: 99

-The match is over, but the brawl is not! Cena and Tensai are brawling with each other when Mark Henry gets up and joins in on the action. The Rock comes running down and gets in on the action, followed by Chris Jericho, who goes after Rock, who's been busy going after Cena while Tensai and Henry brawl with each other. Rounding out the field is Zack Ryder, and it's all out mayhem as a host of road agents and security have to try to break up the fracas!

Rating: 93

-In our main event of the evening, a non-title match, CM Punk defeated Kofi Kingston by disqualification after the Miz ran in and attacked Punk as payback for what happened in the prior tag team match!

Rating: 97

POST SHOW

-Raw has gone off the air, but that doesn't stop CM Punk and Miz from getting into an all out brawl to send the fans home happy!

Rating: 99

Overall Show Grade: 97

==The Day After Raw==

http://s2.excoboard.com/forums/20864/user/366987/527954.jpg

Not even two days into owning the largest wrestling organization in the world, and everyone seems to be heaping high praise for the effort we put forth for Monday Night Raw. I for one am proud of everyone for the hard work they put into the show to make it a success. Though there seemed to be a number of people that didn't care about Josh Mathews interviewing Bret Hart. Looks like I'll just stick to having Josh behind the broadcast table for Smackdown, and let Mean Gene Okerlund handle all of the interviews.

Before Raw got started last night, I got word that Chris Sabin's contract was coming up, so I have gone ahead and offered him a contract. I'm going to see if I can get Alex Shelley as well to bring in yet another tag team to make our tag team division stronger. I also put out a contract offer to Dutch Mantel, who is a very good talker and could make a great manager for some of our workers who don't have as great of entertainment skills. And he can come in handy if I need a road agent. Not to mention someone with his personality is great for the locker room. I've put out the call to Kip James as well. If he signs, I've got plans to have him revive the Billy Gunn character and team up with Road Dogg to reform the New Age Outlaws to help get our up and coming tag teams over.

What's this? Scott Hall has been sober for over a month after starting a new yoga plan, and taking drug tests everyday? Awesome! As someone who's been his friend for years, I really hope this works out for him. In other news, I'm looking at the results for TNA's Impact Wrestling TV taping and shaking my head. Relegating Samoa Joe vs. James Storm to the pre-show and not utilizing them anywhere on the televised portion of the show? If they ever come free, I could scoop them up. I know John Cena and CM Punk would be happy if Joe were to sign with us. Now to go get ready for Smackdown.

For those wondering, I'm not keeping track of who all got what right on match predictions. Just letting you all do it for fun, really. :p That, and to let you all participate in it. :) That said...

Friday Night Smackdown Predictions:

Match 1

Prime Time Players vs. The Usos

Match 2

Non-Title

Cody Rhodes vs. Tyson Kidd

Match 3

Ryback vs. Jinder Mahal

Match 4

Natalya and Eve vs. A.J. and Kaitlyn

Match 5

Damien Sandow and Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara

Plus: Sheamus, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton all scheduled to appear!

On a sidenote: I'm debating whether to use the in-game editor and turn all the development contracts into PPA, then ending the development deal with FCW, because I'm getting e-mails everyday from people wanting to be called up, then having morale issues when they are called up.

My personal advice, keep them dry rotting in development until you're ready to call them. You are the boss, they just have to wait. Their morale issues will disappear when they get used on the main roster and ick up a few wins. In my 2001 WCW game I have Low-Ki and Sonjay Dutt screaming to get out of development for months, and they will rot in there until I say so. Don't put them in PPA's, let them hang there until you need them.
