Good card so far for Slamboree, kinda surprised that the nWo ended the show on top for two weeks in a row; then again, WCW and all :p

Diamond Dallas Page and Sting vs. Scott Hall, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett

Tough one to call; DDP and Sting have been getting their asses handed to them as of late. But these are some pretty big odds to try to overcome.

Perfect Event (Palumbo and Stasiak) vs. Kanyon and Rey Misterio Jr.

Goldberg vs. Vampiro

Lance Storm vs. Dustin Rhodes

Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri

Both men are wielding black baseball bats and DDP is also holding a mic. DDP goes over the events of the past four weeks, talking about how the nWo has played the numbers game and used ambushes and sneak attacks to gain the upper hand against them, but despite the nWo's best efforts....they're still standing! DDP then hands the mic to Sting who says that he and DDP have been talking and they decided that they are done playing the nWo's games. So, instead of the nWo waiting until the end to the show to carry out yet another sneak attack on them when they are already tired from wrestling a match, how about the nWo comes out here and fight them RIGHT NOW!!!!

The arena absolutely erupts with cheers as the fans definitely like the idea of Sting and DDP finally getting a fair fight against the nWo, and Sting drops the mic as both he and DDP motion for the nWo to come on down to the ring. A few moments pass as the anticipation builds inside the arena and then....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpg

The nWo music hits and out walks the three men who have been absolutely dominant against DDP and Sting so far, albeit by hook or crook. Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all stand menacingly at the top of the stage, staring toward the ring where DDP and Sting are still motioning for them to come down and fight them face to face for a change. The World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, then gets on the mic and says that, in case DDP and Sting haven't realized it already, the nWo does whatever they want, whenever they want, and everything they do, they do on their own time and nobody elses. Kevin Nash then gets on the mic and says that he finds it really funny that Sting, of all people, is out here talking about playing games after he did nothing but play games when he was the owner for a month. Nash brings up the fact that Sting screwed him out of his World Title shot and says that Sting will pay the price for that this Sunday night at Slamboree. Scott Hall then grabs the mic...."Hey Yo!"....Hall says that DDP and Sting shouldn't be so concerned with fighting the nWo right now, and they shouldn't even be concerned with Slamboree either, because they've got plenty to worry about tonight in the main event. The mic then finally goes back to Shawn Michaels who says that, at the end of the day, DDP and Sting are going to end the night the same way they always do; flat on their backs and barely conscious!

The nWo music then plays agains and as Michaels, Nash and Hall all turn and make their way to the backstage area again, it is obvious that DDP and Sting are not going to get the fight with the nWo that they were looking for. With DDP and Sting talking amongst themselves about what just happened, we head to the announce table and Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and the returning Dusty Rhodes (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TonySchiavone3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeTenay3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustyRhodes.jpg

Tony welcomes everyone to another action packed edition of WCW Monday Nitro and he says that, if the start of the show is any indication, we are in for one heck of a night here in Sioux City! Tony, Mike and Dusty hype up tonight's show, focusing especially on the three on two handicap main event as Sting and Diamond Dallas Page faces off against the only member of the nWo who is not booked to wrestle at Slamboree, Scott Hall, along with "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett. They also remind everyone that Slamboree is coming to you live on pay per view this Sunday night, and we then head down to the ring for our opening match of the night.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JushinLiger.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/YoshihiroTajiri.jpg

The first match of the night saw Jushin Thunder Liger facing off against Yoshihiro Tajiri. Liger came into this match as the favorite against Tajiri, who has not been seen much on WCW television lately, and Liger wasted little time going to work on his opponent. Tajiri eventually managed to stall Liger's early momentum with a series of hard, brutal looking kicks that really seemed to faze the veteran, Liger. In the end, following a competitive match, it was Yoshihiro Tajiri who picked up a huge win after hitting a Brainbuster on Liger for the pinfall victory.

Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Jushin Thunder Liger at 6.19 by pinfall with a Brainbuster (D)

Following what Mike Tenay calls an upset win for Tajiri, we head to the backstage area where something is apparently going on.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TorrieWilson.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Shane_Douglas7.jpg

In the back, Shane Douglas is seen approaching Torrie Wilson, who looks anything but happy to see "The Franchise". Douglas asks Torrie if she is okay after what happened last week between her and Cheerleader Melissa, but Torrie doesn't seem overly interested in talking. Douglas says that it should have been Billy Kidman--her boyfriend--who came to her aid, but where was he? Too busy pursuing his own selfish ambitions to even notice that she was in trouble. Then, just as Douglas tells Torrie that she would be better off with him...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillyKidman2.jpg

In walks Billy Kidman, who is anything but happy to see Douglas with Torrie. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, they don't come to blows as Kidman tells Douglas to get the hell out of there and Douglas does so, but only after telling Torrie to remember what he told her. As Douglas walks off, Kidman turns to Torrie and asks her what that was all about, but the camera cuts away before Torrie can answer the question as, apparently, there is something going on elsewhere as well. (E+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ErnestMiller.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillDeMott.jpg

We cut to the parking lot area where "The Cat" Ernest Miller and Hugh Morrus are once again going at it, fighting all over the place, throwing each other into cars and onto the concrete floor, both men giving as good as they are taking in this exchange. The fighting goes on as both men are relentlessly clobbering each other until finally a large number of referees and security guards arrive on the scene to, once again, for these two men apart. Tony then reminds everyone that these two will go one on one this Sunday night at Slamboree and this time nobody will keep them from fighting as he has just been told that their match will be a No Disqualification match! (D+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustinRhodesIggy.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/LanceStorm2.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TedDiBiase.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeAwesome3.jpg

The second match of the night saw Dustin Rhodes go one on one with one half of the WCW Tag Team Champions, Lance Storm. Mike Awesome defeated BG James last week on Nitro, albeit by controversial circumstances, but the pressure was still on Rhodes to get some momentum on Sons of the South's side before their Tag Team Title match at Slamboree. The match was a very solid one with both men getting roughly the same amount of offense in. The finish to this one was very much a flashback to last week's show as BG James and Mike Awesome were brawling at ringside and the referee had lost control of the match when....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JohnCenaAAF5.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KenAnderson.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SamoaJoe.jpg

"The Three" once again decided to get involved in Sons of the South's business, making their way down to the ring and blindsiding Rhodes behind the referee's back. Tony brings up the fact that this all started when Dustin Rhodes confronted them about their three on one handicap match against Dustin's father, Dusty Rhodes, a few weeks ago, and "The Three" apparently took exception to that. Dusty quickly chimes in and says that "The Three" are nothing but a bunch of self-important cowards, and that it's only a matter of time before Sons of the South gives them the beating they deserve. Tony then informs us that we are heading to the back where Joey Styles has caught up with "The Man" Goldberg.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JoeyStyles2000.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

As we cut backstage Joey Styles is indeed trying to get an interview with Goldberg but Goldberg blows him off, saying that he'll do all of his so called "talking" in the ring. Goldberg then slams the door more or less in Joey's face, leaving Mike Tenay to conclude that Goldberg is very much on edge and that it might be best for everyone, Joey Styles included, to give him some space. (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChrisKanyon4.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChuckPalumbo.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnStasiak.jpg

This Sunday night at Slamboree, Kanyon will defend his United States Championship against Rey Misterio Jr. and Sean O'Haire, but tonight he was teaming up with Rey Misterio Jr. to take on two of Sean O'Haire's stable mates in the Natural Born Thrillers, Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak, Perfect Event. This match was all about Palumbo and Stasiak trying to wear down Kanyon and Rey, setting the table for Sean O'Haire to clean up at Slamboree, but Kanyon and Rey both realized that and they were very much on the same page in this one as they worked well together. This was another solid match that saw Rey take a beating at the hands of Perfect Event, only to make the hot tag to Kanyon to switch the momentum. In the end, Rey Misterio Jr. picked up the win for his team, hitting a picture perfect Springboard Hurricanrana on Shawn Stasiak for the three count and the win.

Rey Misterio Jr. and Kanyon defeated Perfect Event at 10.20 by pinfall when Rey pinned Stasiak following a Springboard Hurricanrana ©

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChrisKanyon4.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeSanders.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MarkJindrak.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/StacyKieblerHeel.jpg

Kanyon and Rey Misterio Jr. does not get very long to celebrate their win at all as here comes the remaining Thrillers; Sean O'Haire, Mike Sanders and Mark Jindrak all hit the ring while Stacy remains on the outside, cheering her guys on. The Thrillers attack Kanyon and Rey and soon enough both Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak join in as well and a five on two beatdown ensues. The Thrillers are both relentless and merciless as they beat Kanyon and Rey down. Then, with the situation in the ring firmly in the Thrillers control.... (D)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg

Ric Flair's music starts playing and out walks "The Nature Boy" himself! Flair makes his way down to the ring where he demands, and is given, a mic. Standing in the ring along with the Natural Born Thrillers, Ric Flair says that everyone is looking at the future of this business standing in this ring right now. Every single person in the ring with him right now is a future champion just waiting to happen and it all starts this Sunday night at Slamboree when Sean O'Haire will defeat Kanyon and Rey Misterio Jr. and walk out as the NEW WCW United States Champion! But they are not going to stop there. Oh, no, not by a long shot. Sean O'Haire's US Title win at Slamboree will only be the first of the many Natural Born Thriller title wins that are coming in the very near future--you can count on that! WOOOO!!!!!!!! ©

Following Flair's promo we head to the announce table where Tony, Mike and Dusty discuss what has happened on tonight's show so far. They talk about Tajiri's huge win against Liger, and they then move on to what just happened moments ago and Mike says he finds it hard to argue with Ric Flair's claim that Sean O'Haire will be walking out of Slamboree with the United States Championship after the beating Kanyon and Rey Misterio Jr. took here tonight. Dusty says that there's no doubt that Ric Flair knows how to win, and there's no doubt that there is a lot of talent in the Natural Born Thrillers. The combination of those two could be too much for anyone to stand against. Tony reminds everyone of the huge main event that is still to come tonight as Sting and DDP teams up to take on Scott Hall, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett in a three on two handicap match, and we then head backstage to Eric Bischoff's office.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/CheerleaderMelissa.jpg

The owner of WCW has a full office to deal with and the mood does not seem to be a particularly happy one. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner is talking--very loudly--about how Eric Bischoff promised him and Jarrett a reward if they helped him deal with Goldberg and now Sting and DDP tonight. Steiner is adamant that he wants his reward and he quickly adds that Bischoff better make good on his word or else. Jeff Jarrett tries to calm Steiner down, but to no avail. That's when the nWo steps in, all three of them. Michaels, Nash and Hall all try to intimidate Steiner into falling in line and doing what they want him to do, but even that doesn't seem to faze Steiner enough to make him back off. Bischoff tries to reassure Steiner that he will indeed get his reward, but right now they all need him to remain focused on the match tonight. "Big Poppa Pump" then repeats his threat that Bischoff better hold up his end of the deal, and Steiner then storms out of the office, leaving Bischoff and Jarrett looking uneasy while Michaels, Nash and Hall just look downright pissed off by Steiner's behaviour. Tony Schiavone then wonders out loud how this is all going to play out later tonight in the main event as we cut back to ringside. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Vampiro10.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Aries.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DaffneyUnger.jpg

Back in the ring it was time for Goldberg to face off against Vampiro, who had the unfortunate luck of being the one to go up against a very pissed off Goldberg tonight. Aries even tried to interfere on Vampiro's behalf at one point, but all he got for his troubles was a Spear that damn near broke him in half. Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes both comments on the fact that we still have no idea why El Mesías chose to target Goldberg, of all people, but the fact remains that Mesías dominated Goldberg at Spring Stampede in ways that they never thought Goldberg could be dominated. The events from earlier in the show had obviously planted some seeds of doubt as Scott Hall tried to talk to Steiner, but Steiner just completely ignored both Hall and Jarrett. The match was about what you'd expect; DDP and Sting courageously fighting against the odds, but the match took an interesting turn when Scott Hall went to tag in "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. Steiner refused to put his hand out, so Hall slapped him on the back instead to make the tag and ordered Steiner to take care of business. Clearly not liking that one bit, Steiner turned, tagged Jeff Jarrett into the match and then Steiner walked out on the match and headed toward the back! Now it was down to a tag team match between DDP and Sting, and Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett. The match went back and forth for a while, but the more the match progressed the more DDP and Sting took control. In the end, Sting put Jeff Jarrett down with the Scorpion Deathdrop and just as Scott Hall was about to enter the ring to break up the pin, Diamond Dallas Page entered the ring first. Seeing what awaited him inside the ring--a fired up number one contender-- Scott Hall had second thoughts and instead left ringside and walked back up the ramp as Sting covered Jarrett for the win as the nWo/Steiner/Jarrett "alliance" seemed to have exploded right in front of our eyes here.

Sting and Diamond Dallas Page defeated Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall and Scott Steiner at 14.47 by pinfall when Sting pinned Jarrett following a Scorpion Deathdrop (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DiamondDallasPage.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpg

As the bell rings and Sting's music plays throughout the arena, Sting and Diamond Dallas Page stands tall in the ring as they have just overcome seemingly impossible odds here tonight.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

Scott Hall is joined at the top of the stage by his fellow nWo members, and the two men who will be facing DDP and Sting in one on one matches this Sunday night at Slamboree, the World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash. Chavo himself believes that he is the greatest Cruiserweight alive today and, stating that he has already beaten everyone their is to beat in WCW, Chavo recently issued an open challenge to anyone in the world to step up and face him at Slamboree with the Cruiserweight Championship on the line. Nash challenged Sting to a match at Slamboree on the very first night after Sting's run as owner had come to an end, and the Stinger was more than willing to accept the challenge. The war between the nWo and Sting and Diamond Dallas Page has raged ever since, and it continues at Slamboree when "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash steps into the ring with the man called Sting. Now, at Slamboree, Diamond Dallas Page will finally get his rematch against Shawn Michaels for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
I have to say firstly that this diary has been brilliant so far. I'm not even a fan of WCW and I've read the entire thing over the last couple of days. I have never read an entire diary before, and I've also never been involved in predictions before, but I'm about to start.

So keep up the excellent work.

This is completely out of left field, but I think if you give the belt to Rey, that will mean you're practically guaranteed a great US title match. I like this storyline, I'll say Kidman wins with a flukey roll-up just to further that Douglas has "no luck" without a lady at his side... perhaps a lady will be coming to WCW later then to help him? First of all I want to thank everyone for their comments and predictions. I haven't counted yet but I'm pretty sure the total amount of people who have predicted for Slamboree is a new record for my diary, so thanks guys!

Secondly, I wanted to give you guys a quick update on Slamboree. I've had a lot going on lately so I haven't had that much time to write, but I do have the show a little over halfway done so I'm slowly getting there.
