They leave them in a heap on the ground as the champions reclaim their belts! Trish hugs Jericho and Christian as the three have successfully set-up the Dudleyz with an elaborate ruse just six days before WrestleMania! Richards put up a valiant effort, but was eventually thwarted with a powerful Chokeslam by the Big Red Machine. RATING: 76 (B-) Notes: 8:29. ____________________________________________ Before celebrating his victory by causing an explosion in the turnbuckles, Kane tosses Richards out of the ring and grabs a microphone. Kane: This past Thursday night...I buried my demons. I destroyed...the distant memory...that is The Undertaker. With the destruction of his urn...the final grain of sand...in the hourglass...of the life of the Undertaker...has fallen. He will never...ever return-- At this moment, lightning strikes the ring and the four ring posts erupt into flame! Kane, terrified, knows that it was not his work! The images roll over “Never Gonna Stop” by Rob Zombie and it announces that Edge will return soon from his debilitating neck injury! Even though the Hurricane claims to be a superhero, the only thing “super” about this match was the size of the man the Hurricane got in the ring with. Henry picked up a nice win after the World's Strongest Slam. RATING: 58 (C-) Notes: 8:07. ____________________________________________ Following one more commercial break, The Rock's music hits and the crowd explodes! He hits the ring while playing to the crowd and grabs a microphone. The Rock: Finally... The crowd goes nuts at the beginning of his catchphrase. The Rock: FINALLY...THE ROCK! HAS COME BACK.........home. The crowd gives him a huge ovation as he soaks it in with a smile. The Rock: For the past few weeks, The Rock's been sitting at home in his mansion with his cars and his giant swimming pool and his basketball court in his backyard, and he's been watching Monday Night RAW to see a man trying to get his life back in order. And that man is The Rock's good friend Mick Foley. Now Mick, you and The Rock go way back to the Rock 'n' Sock Connection days, so you know that you've got The Rock's help no matter where life takes you! The Rock will have your back through hell, he'll have your back through high water, it doesn't matter. So at WrestleMania XX...in Madison Square Garden...The Rock and Mick Foley will once again be kicking some ass! But no, The Rock will do you one better, The Rock says this: we will take Batista and Randy Orton down Know Your Role Boulevard...but wait we're not done yet – it's on the corner of Jabroni Drive – and we will check those two jackasses into the SmackDown hotel, and the millions (“AND MILLIONS!”) of The Rock's fans will watch with glee as the Rock 'n' Sock Connection lays the smack down on both of their candy asses! The crowd goes wild at all of the Rock's catchphrases, and he's eating it up at this point. RATING: 78 (B) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ Suddenly, the big screen turns into the face of Randy Orton, who's smirking. Randy Orton: Rock, Rock, wait up man. Listen, it's great to see you back here in the WWE, but you see, things have changed since you left. I don't know if you've been too busy “Walking Tall” to be watching RAW every week, but Evolution runs things around here. Ain't that right, Batista? The camera pans out to reveal Batista holding a seated, bloodied Mick Foley in the backstage area! The Rock is livid in the ring! Randy Orton: So unlike last week, Rock, you're a little too late. We'll see you in six days. If you smell...what Evolution...is cooking. The Rock sprints to the back as Orton and Batista leave Foley in a bloody heap on the ground! This was a decent match until Rene Dupree hit the ring and interfered on behalf of his tag team partner, thus prompting the referee to call for the bell! RATING: 82 (B) Notes: 7:38. Their chemistry was great, this match exceeded expectations greatly. ____________________________________________ After the match, La Resistance starts to double team Goldberg and they have him in a corner. They attack him, but Goldberg lands an elbow to Dupree, and after shaking off another couple of punches, fights back against Conway as well. He begins to get the advantage over his adversaries, when the music of Brock Lesnar hits! Goldberg looks down toward the ramp for a couple of seconds and then around the arena, seeing nothing. However, he does turn around into something – a steel chair shot to the skull by a man who ends up being Sylvain Grenier, the third member of La Resistance who was out with an injury! Thanks to Brock Lesnar's music, La Resistance has laid out Goldberg with a steel chair just six days before WrestleMania! Triple H and Flair tried to use all the cheap tactics they could, while Michaels coached RVD from the outside. Van Dam and Triple H were only in the ring for a short time against one another before Hunter tagged out to Flair. They worked over Michaels a bit while RVD stewed on the outside. Eventually, Michaels got a hot tag to Van Dam and he took over against Flair. He knocked Triple H down and sent him out of the ring, but turned around into a poke in the eyes from The Nature Boy. The finish came moments after Michaels knocked Triple H off the apron. He hit the Sweet Chin Music to Flair and tagged in Van Dam, who hit the Five Star Frog Splash! Triple H elected not to save Flair, and instead to conserve his energy for WrestleMania. RATING: 79 (B) Notes: 11:08. Rob Van Dam's in-ring skills are getting better, definitely from the three guys he was working with. ____________________________________________ Following the match, Triple H pulled Flair out of the ring as Rob Van Dam's music blares. He and Shawn Michaels celebrate in the ring. Michaels raises Van Dam's hand as RVD motions for the title belt. Triple H holds up the World Heavyweight Championship in one hand as he holds Ric Flair up in his other to end the show. Despite Too Cool's best efforts, Nunzio would distract the ref, leading to a low blow from Palumbo to Scotty 2 Hotty and an Italian Drop for the win. RATING: 53 (C-). Notes: None. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Josh Matthews stands with the enormous United States Champion Big Show, whom he asks about his non-title champion vs. champion match tonight! Big Show: Chris Benoit is a man I've known for a long time, and a man who I've gone to war with before. He's got a lot of heart, and he's got the WWE title, but that's not gonna mean a damn thing when I wrap these gigantic hands around his surgically repaired neck and crush his larynx. And after I go to WrestleMania and break John Cena in half, maybe I'll come back to Benoit and take his title too! Big Show intensely walks off, clearly focused on his matchup later on. However, Billy Gunn would eventually hit the ring and provide enough of a distraction for Mysterio to hit a springboard senton to knock A-Train down and pull off the surprising victory! A-Train slammed on the mat a few times as Gunn looks down at him from the ramp, satisfied with his actions. RATING: 62 © Notes: 7:59. Typically Rey pulls off good matches with big oafs like A-Train, but their chemistry left something to be desired. ____________________________________________ Before Rey hits the back, the theme music of Chavo Guerrero plays and the Cruiserweight Championship challenger walks out to the top of the ramp, microphone in hand. Chavo Guerrero: That was a nice win you had out there, Rey, just as noble and clean cut as you really are. Just as noble as you were when you got in between me and my uncle Eddie. I thought we were good friends, but I was wrong. You betrayed me, Rey Mysterio, and for that I'm going to take what you love and what you've worked your entire life for. You're gonna go into WrestleMania as the Cruiserweight Champion and I'm going to beat you, and punish you, and humiliate you to take your title belt and that's gonna be the last the WWE sees of Rey Mysterio! Chavo and Rey share a staredown as we go to commercial. Because of this and a double dropkick that sent both men over the top rope to the floor, Doug and Danny decided to grab their belts and regroup, walking to the back and abandoning the match to a count out. But what I don't get is why you booked me in a match against your little golden boy Brock Lesnar three days before WrestleMania. The former combatants stand in the ring in a loose alliance, not sure what to do as the “Big Red Machine” stalks his way down to the squared circle. He steps inside and both men futilely try to preserve their well being with a preemptive strike. This proved unsuccessful, as Kane sent Tajiri flying with a boot and Funaki with a throat thrust. He picked the two up like rag dolls for a Double Chokeslam and grabbed a microphone. Kane: At Survivor Series in November, I buried...my brother...alive. Last week, I burned the very essence...of my brother. I have destroyed the body of the Undertaker...and I have destroyed the soul of the Undertaker. Come WrestleMania...you will all find out...that the Undertaker...is no more! GET OUT! GO! All of a sudden, SmackDown's General Manager Paul Heyman arrives with an army of road agents, officials, and security, dispatching them toward the ring. Paul Heyman: This is not your show, Kane, this is mine. I am the General Manager of SmackDown, and even though I allowed you here last week, there was no agreement for this Thursday night. So I'm going to offer you a choice. You can either leave my ring right now, or I send these dozen or so men into the ring to make sure you leave the arena forcefully. Kane simply raises his arms and sends them down, causing fire to explode from the ring posts again, startling the hit squad. Heyman's men hit the ring as Kane takes them one after another. He destroys each and every one of them with punches, kicks, boots, thrusts, and even some Chokeslams! Kane turns his eyes toward Heyman, who is standing at the top of the ramp. Kane walks all the way up the ramp and towers above the General Manager, who warns him not to put a hand on him. Kane stares him down for a dramatic pause, before walking past him to the back, leaving a pile of bodies in his wake. RATING: 86 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ After a commercial to clear the waste in the ring, the RAW Rebound airs. It shows how The Rock came out to talk about his WrestleMania match, but Evolution had abducted and beaten Mick Foley to a bloody pulp! They took each other to the limit in this one. Benoit would try and work on the giant by attacking his limbs. Legs first, then on the ground he would work over the arms and the shoulders. Big Show was too powerful to be contained on the ground for too long, however, and he would regain control with flurries of strikes and power moves. With Show continuing to choke the WWE Champion, to a count of four from the referee, John Cena hit the ring to try and restore order. However, he simply walked over to the timekeeper's table and picked up the Big Show's United States Championship. Distracted and yelling at his challenger, Show turned around into the Crippler Crossface! Benoit wins! RATING: 84 (B+) Notes: 11:49. Big Show was breathing heavily at the end. ____________________________________________ The bell rings and Benoit is declared the winner. John Cena gets in the ring with the United States Championship and hands it to the Big Show as he stands up, stating that it's gonna be Cena's in a few days. Show accepts the belt from him and turns to walk away, before socking Cena in the jaw with a right hand! A brawl ensues with the belt flying across the ring. Both Cena and Show land a good number of shots to their opponent, and Show throws Cena over the barricade! Show follows him over and Cena fires back with a couple of punches. The two brawl all the way through the crowd and to the back! RATING: 87 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ A video package welcomes us back – it's a triptych interview; first featuring Kurt Angle. Each man is separate, but the interviews are aired simultaneously. Kurt Angle: This is the biggest match of my career. The biggest stage of all time against two of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. I've been in some big ones over the years, but there's never been a bigger challenge. And Kurt Angle rises to the occasion. Time and time again we've seen it. I don't care how much I respect these guys, I'll break all of their ankles to get that WWE Championship back in my hands. Next, Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero: Kurt and Chris are two great friends of mine, but that means nothing come WrestleMania, ese. There ain't no more playing around with me, man. I've never been a world champion, but in three days at WrestleMania...”Latino Heat” walks out a lot more golden, holmes! Finally, the WWE Champion, Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit: Young up and comers dream of having the opportunity that I have this Sunday. After eighteen years of breaking my body and my soul night in and night out, I get to defend the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XX against two of the greatest competitors to ever grace the sport of wrestling. I will stop at nothing to make sure that this WrestleMania is my moment. These two shared no particular liking for one another, and the stiff shots from one to the other made that very clear. The two engaged in a physical bout, and although it did not live up to the quality of their initial encounter, it was a solid SmackDown main event. Throughout the match, Brock used underhanded tactics such as chokes to gain the advantage and show a bit of a mean streak. During the match, Goldberg's music hit...and thinking it was the same type of ruse that Brock himself pulled on Goldberg on RAW, paid no attention to it. He simply continued to attack Holly, without realizing that Goldberg was actually in the ring behind him! Brock turned around and was startled when he caught a right hand to the face to cause a disqualification! RATING: 74 (B-) Notes: 11:52. The psychology wasn't great, but these two are much better built for a slower build because Holly was tiring after going all-out for twelve minutes. ____________________________________________ Goldberg and Brock go at it in the ring, trading blows as the two rivals get into it just three days before the big pay-per-view! With neither man gaining a clear advantage, Paul Heyman runs down to the ring! He yells at Brock to stop attacking, and Goldberg as well. The two of them turn to Heyman as he pleads with both of them to take the pandemonium off of his show and wait until Madison Square Garden. The two calm down and look at each other, then Heyman...but Heyman turns and lands a kicking low blow to RAW's Goldberg! Lesnar pounces as Heyman tells him to attack. Under the GM's supervision, Lesnar destroys Goldberg – until one man comes to his rescue. <img alt="lWh56bb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lWh56bb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> It's ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin! The guest referee for Sunday's match hits the ring and attacks Lesnar! Lesnar gets out of Dodge before any damage is done, as Austin sends certain profane hand signals toward Brock and Heyman! He helps Goldberg to his feet as the two are ready for the matchup at WrestleMania! I'm not very good at calling people overrated, but I know who all I can claim to be underrated, names who will come as no surprise to you given my comments during predictions; guys like Mark Jindrak, Lance Storm, the FBI, Christian, and Matt Hardy.

Top Five

Eddy Guerrero - has been on top of the game so far. You even seem to write him better than you have Benoit and Angle, another reason why I think he should pick up the belt at WMXX.

Chris Benoit - No Rumble win in this world, but the match over Lesnar at No Way Out was marvelous, and he's been solid ever since.

Triple H - tough to ignore the long-standing WH Champ, even though he's kinda taken a backseat to a lot of the other feuds going on.

Rob Van Dam - I wish I could take him more serious as a threat, but you've done well at making him seem like a man who could dethrone 3H, even if just for a month.

Vitamin C - can't say as I know where you're going with them and Trish, and that's a good thing. By the looks of it you turned Trish heel to join them? Which is awesome if that's what happened.
