RATING: 90 (A) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ First out to the ring is Kurt Angle, to the delight of the fans, despite their still chanting “You Suck” along with his entrance music. Fresh off of his recent return, Angle steps in the ring and grabs a microphone, smile on his face. A “USA” chant begins. Kurt Angle: Last week, I came out here and made my return, and I dedicated my Royal Rumble victory to the United States military. Everything was fine and good in the locker room and everything, but there's one thing that's really been bothering me. And that's the fact that one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history is crumbling before our very eyes. And I'm not gonna let that happen, so Chavo, can you please come out here right now? There is a brief pause before Chavo Guerrero's music hits and he makes his way out to the ring, looking at Angle with folded arms as he waits for him to start talking. Kurt Angle: Alright Chavo, last week I may have blamed this whole thing on Eddie, but do you seriously think he deserved to get slapped in the face by you? Do you want to be right by your family and put this all behind you? Don't you think you owe Eddie an apology? Chavo Guerrero: What do you want me to apologize for? I'm out here trying to hold my family together. I'm not going to apologize for loving my uncle Eddie! Last week, I gave him tough love. And I'm not going to apologize for that, because you know what Kurt? If Eddie was here, I'd slap him in the face again! Just like I'm thinking about slapping you! The music of Eddie Guerrero hits as he sprints out to the ring. Chavo slides out of the ring and Angle grabs Eddie to stop him from attacking his nephew. Eddie screams at Chavo and tries unsuccessfully to break free from Angle's grasp. Kurt Angle: Listen Eddie! That's your nephew! And Chavo, this is your uncle! Love each other! Your family is being torn apart. But Chavo, you definitely did the right thing by getting out of that ring, you showed that you do love your family. Now both of you listen up. Chavo, if you've got the “huevos,” I want you to get in the ring and face your uncle right now. Chavo gets in the ring and Angle stands between the two livid Latinos. Kurt Angle: Listen, I know both of you guys don't want this. I'm going to ask you guys one question. I want to know...who's gonna be the better man? Both men look bewildered, but Chavo extends his hand. Eddie gives a lot of thought and Angle finally convinces him to shake the hand of his nephew. Angle raises the hands of the two family members! The Big Show: There was nothing more that I wanted this week than to get my hands on that Alabama piece of trash Hardcore Holly for destroying me with this steel chair last week. So I went in the office of Paul Heyman and I begged him to make my match this week a Street Fight. That's where this very chair and anything else I want to use, can be a weapon. And tonight...Hardcore Holly...is getting taken out! RATING: 81 (B) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ Chris Benoit makes his way to the ring, ready for action. Instead of his opponent coming to the ring, Paul Heyman's music hits. With the crowd confused, he makes his way to the top of the ramp with a microphone in hand. Benoit didn't look too great out there tonight, but he still outshined the FBI. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Rey Mysterio is getting ready for his Cruiserweight Championship rematch tonight against Tajiri, who he defeated for the belt last week. Nidia walks up to him, congratulates him, and wishes him luck, before walking away. RATING: 69 (C+) Notes: 5:59. ____________________________________________ After a break, The Basham Brothers hit the ring and the announcers hype the fact that they have issued a tag team open challenge to anyone in the locker room, claiming that no one can beat them. The WWE Tag Team Champions stand in the ring and await their opponents. The music of Kurt Angle hits and he comes to the top of the ramp with a microphone. Kurt Angle: I think hell has just frozen over, because I just got out of Paul Heyman's office, and we reached a collective agreement! Heyman and I have come up with just the team to face you guys tonight. Up next will be the Basham Brothers defending the WWE Tag Team Championship...against Los Guerreros! Eddie asks what happened, and Chavo gets defensive, attacking his uncle! He viciously assaults Eddie, putting the boots to him, and eventually blasts him with a steel chair before standing over him and walking out. A-Train improving in Technical. ____________________________________________ With Eddie Guerrero sitting beaten, bloodied, and crying backstage, Kurt Angle comes up to him. Kurt Angle: Eddie, I really don't know what to say, but I do feel responsible for this. I can't believe I misjudged Chavo the way I did and I should have never stuck my nose where it didn't belong...in your family's business. I know there's only one thing on your mind, but I really should have never stopped you from tearing him apart. Eddie...all I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry. Eddie sits there crying and whimpering, not acknowledging Kurt. The crowd booed as this ended a pretty good match between the current and former Cruiserweight Champions. RATING: 71 (B-) Notes: 9:08. ____________________________________________ Jamie Noble continues the assault on Mysterio as Tajiri leaves ringside. Noble finishes Rey off with a Sit-Out Double Underhook Powerbomb, leaving the champion decimated in the middle of the ring. He intensely soaks in the crowd heat before leaving the ring. RATING: 54 (C-) Notes: Meh. Brock Lesnar, the WWE Champion, made his presence known by attacking Hardcore about ¾ of the way through the match, but John Cena ran down to even the score! He chased Lesnar from the ring before blasting the Big Show with his chain and leaving him down for Holly. Holly landed a handful of chair shots before hooking the chair around the Big Show's neck and pressing down, attempting to asphyxiate the United States champion! The Big Show was forced to tap out, giving Holly the victory! Hardcore stares down Brock, chair in hand, as the champion simply looks angrily back at him as the show goes off the air! RATING: 78 (B) Notes: 12:11. ____________________________________________ OVERALL SHOW RATING: 82 (B) Notes: This show increased our popularity in 13 regions. 1. In the opening match, the seemingly thrown together team of Val Venis and Lance Storm defeat youngsters Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak in a pretty decent match after Val Venis lands the Money Shot on Cade.

2. A highlight video plays, showing recent events between Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus.
Grade: 75 (B-)

3. Rico picks up a win over Jon Heidenreich after the Ricosault in six minutes. This was an awkward match and these two styles really clashed poorly. Miss Jackie was pretty good at ringside though.
Grade: 54 (C-).

4. The Hurricane, along with his Super Hero in Training Rosey, cuts a promo saying how they were defeated by the vile Chris Jericho and Christian on RAW, but even the great Batman has his bad days, and that he will continue to save WWE from its evildoers.
Grade: 68 (C+)

5. Although he was able to defeat Test last week on RAW, Stevie Richards did not have the same luck tonight, losing to Robert Conway after an Ego Trip finisher in about seven minutes. Victoria is really good in Richards' corner though.

6. A video hypes the upcoming RAW matchup between Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Championship.

Oh yes, I've still got a lot of plans, and I'd look terrible since I just said it was going at least until Survivor Series But real life makes a multiplayer game a bit tougher to progress as quickly as I'd like. Plus I'm enjoying the variety of thinking about both now, which should increase the creativity output for both diaries.

He hopefully has a bright future in this diary I also really like Charlie Haas...maybe it's because I had a WS2 diary a few years back that I really enjoyed writing from his point of view. Speaking of which, I can't wait for WS3 to come out because that was my favorite diary I've ever written.

Seriously though, I just watched a couple of episodes of SmackDown as I was preparing to book/write this and he was actually great. I don't even remember him being as great as he was when I was watching at this time, but in hindsight he truly was on a roll here. He's the man. (Also, hilariously, when Holly attacks Lesnar on one of the shows, I caught an un-edited Michael Cole saying "He's beating the sh** out of the champion!" Don't know how that wasn't taken out )

Jazz tosses her into the ring, clotheslines Lita out of it, and then continues to attack Trish. After a few seconds, Chris Jericho once again runs to ringside and saves Trish from her attacker. Jazz retreats up the ramp, satisfied with the damage that she's done. Trish, this time, does not flee from Jericho, but instead coldly stares him down and walks out. RATING: 62 © Notes: The fans are MUCH more interested in the Jericho/Trish relationship than anything that has to do with Jazz. ____________________________________________ After a quick break, Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring, dressed for a match. He gets into the squared circle and grabs a microphone. Matt Hardy: Listen up! I don't think you people understand what I mean when I say that I am Matt Hardy, V-ONEEEE-AH! It means that I am the first and only Matt Hardy that there will ever be. And THAT means that I'm the best wrestler there is in that locker room. Yet I have yet to have a match in the great year that is 2004. I want to see who in that locker room thinks they can come out here and defeat the greatest superstar that RAW has ever see-- Steve Austin's music hits as the Sheriff of RAW makes his way out to the ring. He climbs each turnbuckle, looking at Hardy as he passes and circles him to make his way to each corner of the crowd. He grabs a microphone. Steve Austin: You think you're the best wrestler we've got in that locker room? (What?) You, Matt Hardy, with your cargo pants and your patchy little chin-strap beard and your one-man gang hand sign? Trish explains her confusion with Chris and that she doesn't want to be a part of his lies again, knowing that last time it was all just part of a bet with Christian. Stacy counters, saying that this time she really thinks that Jericho's intentions are genuine, as he's saved her for two straight weeks now. She says that sometimes Jericho rubs her the wrong way, but she thinks that he may be acting on his real feelings now. Stacy thinks that Trish should talk to Jericho and iron out their potential future together. Trish seems to consider her advice as we go to commercial. RATING: 66 (C+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ Back from break, "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton is standing in the ring with a microphone. Randy Orton: Tonight, I go one-on-one with the man who I destroyed to begin the greatest Intercontinental Championship reign of all-time. Tonight he gets his re-match and he is once again going to fall to the Living Legend. But Rob Van Dam is not the man who I am out here to address. The man who I am out here to talk about is a coward. He is a coward...and a failure. The very same man who, when he was given a shot to step into the ring with "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton...ran away, packed his bags, and left the WWE. I am talking about the one and only Mick Foley. But hey, Mick, I know you're in town tonight, and, I want you to know that I'm not out here to talk badly about you again. I'm here...because I have something for you. Right here in my hand is a ticket to tonight's show. Orton points to an empty seat in the front row behind the barricade. Randy Orton: Right there, in the front row, is the seat that this ticket belongs to. I ordered a limo service, specifically for you. If you've got the guts, Mick, you will come here and you will face me man-to-man. But I know you don't have the balls to do that, so if you really want, you can come here to the arena and just watch. You can watch as I take RVD apart and retain my Intercontinental Championship once again. And Mick, you can sit here in the front row, and accept the privilege that I have awarded you, which is for you to be able to get a look....at greatness! Orton poses as the crowd boos and he leaves the ring. RATING: 85 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ After another break, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff is in the ring along with a red carpet, a desk, and two leather chairs, and it's time for the World Heavyweight Championship contract signing. Bischoff brings out the challenger first, as Shawn Michaels makes his way to the ring, with the crowd in his corner. He poses and sits down at the far chair. Triple H's music hits and the champion is out next, wearing a full suit with the title draped over his left shoulder. The Game gets in the ring and sits down across from his adversary, with the two staring holes into one another. Bischoff gets the signing started by passing the clipboard and pen to Michaels, who quickly signs the papers. Michaels slides the paper and pen across the table to his opponent. Triple H goes to sign the paper as Shawn stands, asking for the microphone from Eric. Shawn Michaels: Hunter, wait. Before you go ahead and sign that contract, there's something you might want to keep in mind. Before you sign that paper, you should understand what the words Last...Man...Standing actually mean. It means that when the two of us beat the living hell out of each other in a few weeks at the Royal Rumble...that one of us is going to be knocked unconscious and will physically not be able to stand at the end of it. And Hunter, you know what I've done throughout my career. I never lie down because I'm always getting back up. You should know, better than anyone in the world, that you shouldn't hunt...what you can't kill! The crowd goes wild as Triple H glares at Michaels before scribbling his signature on the paper. The match is signed! Triple H stands up and simply stares Michaels in the face before Michaels picks the mic up to his mouth again. Shawn Michaels: One more thing, Hunter. In case I jogged your memory last week, I wanted you to see first-hand what your future is, come the Royal Rumble. Michaels immediately drops the mic and blasts Bischoff with Sweet Chin Music! Triple H does nothing, he just continues to stare and jaw back at Michaels, who slowly leaves the ring to his theme music. Bischoff lies lifeless in the ring as we go to another commercial! When Jazz tried to interfere, Trish Stratus ran down to return the favor to Jericho! She attacked Jazz in the ring, and while the referee was trying to get them out, the Walls of Jericho were locked in on Mark Henry! He was tapping wildly, but the referee didn't see it! Once order was restored, Mark Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam a few minutes after. RATING: 58 (C-) Notes: 10:24. Jericho did well and made Henry look pretty good too. Capitalizing on second chances...that's what he do. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Goldberg is cooling down after his match and Scott Steiner walks up to him. Steiner says that he saw what Goldberg did to Matt Hardy tonight, but he's sick of looking at his stupid face and he wants to see what Goldberg can do against a genetic freak like himself! Steiner challenges him to a match next week, which is quickly accepted. RATING: 79 (B) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ In Evolution's locker room, Triple H stands with Orton, Flair, and Batista as they prepare for Orton's IC Title defense in the main event. They tell him not to worry about Mick Foley interfering in his match, because they're all gonna be there to make sure that he is put in his place if he decides to show up. The door opens and the face of Stone Cold enters the screen. Steve Austin: Oh, so let me get this straight. You and your little pack of goons here are gonna make sure that a 40-year-old man doesn't come out and attack your prized 23-year-old racehorse? Well I've got news for ya, I'm the Sheriff around here, and I am the law. And I can tell you for damn sure that our security crew is going to make sure that Foley doesn't run right in and beat this young gun's ass all over the arena. But you three...no, you three won't be anywhere near that because to protect my main event here on RAW, I'm banning all three of ya from ringside! The crowd explodes as Triple H, Orton, Flair, and Batista all flail their arms and counter in protest. Austin, however, has little more to say to them. Steve Austin: ...and that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so! Just when you thought Kane had Booker down for the count, Booker would fight back with some punches and kicks of his own. It ended outside the ring, when Kane began to get angry. He used the steel steps as a weapon, getting himself disqualified. RATING: 77 (B) Notes: 11:53. Booker is becoming a better brawler from this one, his Rumble skills are improving. ____________________________________________ After the match, Kane continues to assault Booker, hitting him with a steel chair as well. He tosses him around the outside of the ring for a minute or so before rolling his lifeless body inside of it. He lands a Chokeslam as well as a Tombstone Piledriver before leaving Booker in the ring motionless. RATING: 81 (B) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ In their locker room, Christian and Chris Jericho are sitting and talking about events that have happened regarding Trish Stratus recently. Christian: Listen man, Trish has caused nothing but trouble for you lately. She won't accept anything, you're giving her all of this affection, saving her every week and how does she repay you? She costs you your match tonight against Mark Henry. And I hate to say this, but it doesn't like you two are getting back together anytime soon, Chris. It looks to me like she's just messing with your head. Since Trish doesn't care about you, what do you say about a night on the town with your pal Christian? C'mon buddy! Let's do it. Jericho first hesitates, but then decides to leave with Christian as the two head out. Seconds after they leave, Trish Stratus comes around the corner and knocks on their locker room door, but no one is inside. She walks away. Despite Evolution being banned from ringside, Orton put on a great performance, retaining his championship after a missed Five Star Frog Splash from RVD. The two men struggled to their feet at the same time, and Orton landed the RKO out of nowhere for the victory. RATING: 75 (B-) Notes: 13:12. ____________________________________________ After the match, Orton receives his gold and celebrates, much to the chagrin of the live audience. Orton gets up on the turnbuckles and poses with his gold, pointing at the empty seat where Mick Foley could have been. He inaudibly talks trash to Foley as his celebration closes the show!
