RKOwnage Posted April 5, 2014 Author Share Posted April 5, 2014 I don't like bumping before a show is posted but quite a few regulars may not have seen this yet so I'm probably just gonna give this til tomorrow, post the show and then the B-Shows and then the Judgment Day preview all at once then. As for in-game news, I booked Vengeance yesterday. Main event was a good one, and the show built up quite a few people in popularity (one person went up 10 points in some areas) while sacrificing only one or two. The veterans, Rey and Stevie, made the Chosen Ones look a bit green in the ring, but Burke and Porter showed off their athleticism and confidence inside the squared circle. With Rey going for the 6-1-9 to Porter, he was hit from the outside by Orlando Jordan, causing a disqualification. RATING: 53 (C-) Notes: 9:10. Rey's getting to be a better brawler. ____________________________________________ The bell rings as Rey and Richards are declared the winners. Porter, Burke, and Jordan aren't done though. It's now a 3-on-2 assault as Richards unsuccessfully tries to save Mysterio. Jordan hits the Blackout to Mysterio as Porter and Burke isolate Richards. The Chosen Ones have left these two men in a heap, and stand victorious on this night. Scotty was put down with the Steiner Recliner. RATING: 71 (B-) Notes: 6:33. Pretty well executed squash match. ____________________________________________ Another assault followed this match. Steiner lands some fists and kicks to Scotty 2 Hotty, but the exclamation point was lifting him up and planting him with a Tombstone! Sending a message to The Undertaker for this Sunday, Steiner gets up and laughs, talking trash to Scotty and the Undertaker inaudibly and unintelligibly. All of a sudden, the lights go out and the funeral bell starts to ring. No music plays, and the Undertaker does not come down to the ring. Instead, his voice is heard from beyond. "Scott Steiner...in three days...your time is up. You will be decimated...and annihilated...by the demon himself. Pick on little men to boost your ego...but come Sunday...you will rest...in...peace." The lights come on, and Steiner is gone! RATING: 83 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ In the back, Hardcore Holly is standing with Josh Matthews. As he's walking down the ramp, he's blasted in the back of the head with the Cruiserweight Championship by Chavo Guerrero! Chavo continues his assault, slamming Kidman into the barricade and steel steps before flattening the challenger with a Brainbuster on the floor! The referee calls this one off before it even starts, and the champion stands over Billy Kidman with just three days to go before the Cruiserweight Open! RATING: 71 (B-) Notes: 7:47. ____________________________________________ Brock Lesnar is in the back being interviewed. He talks about his match this Sunday against Edge and says that Edge has no idea what he's signed the contract for. Brock says he is the most dangerous man in this business because he's the embodiment of power, speed, wrestling ability, and athleticism. At this point, he's caught with an attack by Edge, who interrupts the arrogant promo with a burst of physicality! The two brawl, and Edge is pulled off of Brock, saying that he'll see him this Sunday! The two put on a pretty good match, which saw a fast-paced finish. London knocked the interfering Charlie Haas off the apron and Kendrick hit the Sliced Bread #2 to get Londrick's second consecutive win over the WWE Tag Team Champions! RATING: 63 © Notes: 8:29. Kendrick's in-ring skills are getting better. ____________________________________________ Countering Hardcore Holly's promo, Theodore Long and Mark Henry have words as well. Theodore Long talks about ending the discrimination here in the WWE one bigot at a time. Holly comes to a crashing halt this Sunday while Mark Henry continues his ascent up the SmackDown ranks...by any means necessary. Layfield overpowered the younger superstar, but Cena would not quit. He rallied back a couple of times, but was eventually flattened by a big powerslam. Halfway through the match, Ron Simmons came out to the top of the ramp again, arms crossed. Bradshaw paid little attention to him until he came closer, about halfway down the ramp. Eventually, Bradshaw let his peripheral vision get the best of him, yelling down at his former partner. He turned around and was caught by Cena in a small package for the win! RATING: 73 (B-) Notes: 8:45. ____________________________________________ Bradshaw leaves the ring after the match, slamming on the apron and walking to the back, while Simmons had already left. The United States Champion celebrates, Cena standing in the ring with the crowd roaring. All of a sudden, a face comes up on the big screen. It's Rene Dupree, and he has some parting words for Cena before Judgment Day. "John, John, wait. I would not be celebrating if I were you. That is because in three days, oui, you will step into the ring with the French Phenom. You like to say to me 'come get some,' well this Sunday John, I will come get some, and I will become the new European Champion of the WWE." RATING: 80 (B) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ In the back, Booker T is warming up for his match when the WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero comes over to him. Eddie tells Booker that he wants him to leave Kurt Angle in one piece for Sunday. Booker tells him he's gonna make him pay for what he did, but he'll make sure he limps into Judgment Day to get his ass beat by Eddie. Eddie smiles and wishes him good luck, and the two shake hands. Angle assaulted Booker a few weeks ago, and it was revealed last week that this was true. The match itself was pretty good for a TV main event, and both men took the fight to one another. In a back-and-forth match, Angle and Booker did enough to weaken each other going into Judgment Day. The match ended in chaos when Big Show interfered and took out Booker! RATING: 75 (B-) Notes: 13:28. ____________________________________________ After the match, Big Show and Kurt Angle put the boots to Booker T, softening him up for Sunday. Big Show lifts him up for the Showstopper, but Eddie Guerrero runs down from the back! He attacks Big Show and ducks an Angle clothesline which knocks Big Show back into the ropes. Booker T hits a savate kick to Big Show, knocking him out of the ring as Guerrero tosses Angle over the ropes to the floor! Guerrero and Booker celebrate to end the show with Big Show and Angle heading towards the back as we're on a collision course for Judgment Day! The bell led to a scrum which broke the fight off into separate corners. Bodies flew everywhere as some fights led outside the ring while others saw the high fliers do their best Evel Kneivel impressions. Crazy hit a moonsault to the outside onto Akio and Noble while one of the wild cards, Nigel McGuinness, was in the ring taking it to Nunzio. The first elimination came when Jamie Noble hit a sitout double underhook powerbomb to Funaki. Soon after, a sneaky Nunzio rolled up Akio, sending him to the back. Scotty 2 Hotty hit the Worm to the Cruiserweight Champion, setting a fire under the crowd!</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: calibri,arial,sans-serif; color: #ffa500;">Chavo immediately rolled out of the ring following this move. More chaos ensued with Noble being blindsided by a DDT from Ultimo Dragon, who looked very dangerous in this one. McGuinness was out next, hit with a Sicilian Slice by Nunzio. The other wild card, Frankie Kazarian, showed off some impressive suplexes and slingshot moves to wow the crowd. He was able to pin Super Crazy after a swinging reverse STO. With Kazarian on his way up, Nunzio went for the Sicilian Slice, but landed right on his posterior! He got up and tasted the same move that Super Crazy did, putting the Full Blooded Italian down and out!</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: calibri,arial,sans-serif; color: #ffa500;">The final five broke into two brawls – Chavo and Noble took out Scotty 2 Hotty while the Dragon went at it with Kazarian. With Noble putting the boots to Scotty, he was blindsided by the Cruiserweight Champion, who rolled him up for the elimination! Noble was led away from the ring as Chavo attacked Ultimo Dragon. Scotty 2 Hotty was eliminated when he was hit with an Asai Moonsault by Dragon, who eventually turned it up into another gear. He reversed Kazarian’s finisher and caught him with an inside cradle to be the only man left other than the champion! Looking for his moment to shine, Dragon pulled out all the stops. They tagged in and out and the technicians were able to make sure that Kendrick had a tough time moving around the ring with a variety of leg locks and slamming his leg against the ring post. Booker landed a couple of punches to the head, which Big Show shrugged off and knocked him backwards onto the canvas. He got up and ran at him again, receiving a side kick for his efforts. Big Show controlled the early going, tossing Booker T out to the floor.</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: calibri,arial,sans-serif; color: #ffa500;">Big Show continued the beating on the outside, launching heavy blows to the back of the five-time WCW champion. Booker was rammed into the barricade, prompting a scream and a reaction from the crowd. Big Show raised his hand high, letting out a primal roar to incite the crowd. Booker got some momentum back with a low blow, which the crowd cheered and the referee could do nothing about. Booker hit a couple of strikes, keeping Big Show reeling, and went for a side kick, which Big Show caught. Booker was turned around, but ducked a clothesline and hit the kick anyway!</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: calibri,arial,sans-serif; color: #ffa500;">This was when the match started to disintegrate. Booker went underneath the ring and grabbed a kendo stick, which he used to hit the Big Show a few times. The crowd cheered every shot, and eventually the stick was broken over the 7-footer’s head! Booker went for the cover on the outside, but got only a two count from the referee. Booker picked up the Big Show, who punched him in the stomach and hit a headbutt to gain control. He rammed his back into the ring apron and tossed Booker into the steps, asserting his dominance once more. This angered Cena, and Dupree immediately hit the deck outside the ring. Cena slid out and gave chase, but Dupree slid back in the ring and stomped on Cena who was trying to re-enter. Cena landed a couple of punches and began to talk trash, but was caught with a huge boot by Dupree!</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: calibri,arial,sans-serif; color: #ffa500;">Dupree began to take over, slamming Cena’s head on the turnbuckle and landing some hip thrusts in the corner. He hit a couple of more punches, leaving “The Doctor of Thuganomics” reeling. Cena caught one and hit back, knocking Dupree backwards. Cena bounced off the ropes and went for a cross body, but Dupree pulled down the top rope sending the champion crashing to the floor! Dupree caught his breath in the ring, went outside, and whipped Cena directly into the steel ring post! He locked him in holds looking to wear down the high-flying cruiserweight, but when Mysterio kicked off a side headlock and broke it up with a bulldog! Burke got up on the apron and put his boot inside the ring. Jordan whipped Mysterio toward the boot, but Mysterio reversed it and Burke caught Jordan!
