I'm about halfway done this Raw update, but I've got a question for those following; Are the write-ups goods at the length they are now or are they too long? I'm really not one for writing length for the sake of length, so I try to make sure each write-up tells the story of the match concisely, while still giving the bigger matches the flair they deserve and their own unique endings. But if I'm writing for people just to skip over and read the finish, then I might as well tone it down!

The two start by locking up in the ring, and the veteran Jericho takes an early advantage. Jericho has Ohno on the run early, but when he goes for a lionsault, Heyman distracts him on the apron, stopping him. Jericho turns around to continue his attack, but Ohno is up and lays him out with the KO elbow. Jericho somehow kicks out, but Ohno stays on the offensive from there, trying to wear Jericho down with headlocks and restholds. Jericho finally counters a headlock by bouncing Ohno off the ropes and bulldogging him, and, feeling the momentum, hits the lionsault! He grabs Ohno for the Walls of Jericho, but Curtis Axel runs in from ringside and clocks Jericho with his Intercontinental Championship to end the match in disqualification.

CHRIS JERICHO d. Fandango starts off with Titus O'Neil, who he makes look foolish by using his speed to dance around him. A frustrated O'Neil tags in Darren Young, who makes Fandango pay for his showboating. He drags him back to his corner and he and O'Neil work on Fandango in the corner, not allowing R-Truth to get in the match. This works for a short while until Fandango ducks an O'Neil clothesline and slaps him in the face, allowing a lapse long enough to get the hot tag on R-Truth. Truth clears the ring with some flying kicks and lariats and goes over the top rope to the outside, taking out both the Prime Time Players. He rolls O'Neil back in and he and Fandango hit a new double team maneuver; R-Truth front suplexes his opponent's stomach off of the ropes, flips him backwards to hit the suplex and Fandango hits the top rope leg drop for the team's first victory!

FANDANGO and R-TRUTH d. Wyatt says he's waited far too long for Kane's response, and while his letter was a welcome pleasentry, he wants something a little more personal. With that, he tells Kane to come meet him in the ring, face to face. Nothing happens for a few seconds, so Bray calls him on. "Kaaaaaaane..." he says over and over, until finally the lights go red and Kane's music begins to play. Bray smiles in the ring, waiting for Kane to come out when all of a sudden the lighs go out. He hardly gains any momentum, however, when the Shield's music begins to play and they emerge from the crowd. Henry diverts his attention to them and Ryback slowly rolls out of the ring as the three man team gets closer and closer to the ring. They surround they ring, waiting Henry out, and eventually pounce and attack him, leading to a DQ victory for the World's Strongest Man.

MARK HENRY d. They eventually lift him up for another giant triple powerbomb, shaking the ring and everything around it. Instead of attacking and leaving as they usually do, Ambrose grabs a mic from ringside. He tells Henry he was a fool to think the Shield wouldn't accept his challenge, and he was an even bigger fool to think the challenge wouldn't have immediate repercussions. He tells Henry that at Summerslam, he wants him all to himself, which pleases the crowd. However, he says, he's a man of justice and integrity, so he wants to reward Mark Henry's stupid hubris by putting his US title on the line. He drops the mic and gets in Henry's face with his title. He locks up with Swagger to start the match, but Swagger over-powers him and puts RVD on the run early. Swagger tries to ground RVD with holds and power moves, but the shifty veteran slips out and eventually lays Swagger out with a big roundhouse kick to the face. He goes for the rolling thunder, but Cesaro quickly pulls Swagger out to ringside, causing RVD to land hard on his back. Swagger gets back in the ring, and using this to his advantage, gains the momentum and keeps RVD down. From there, Swagger keeps RVD at base, until he counters a headlock by shoving Swagger into the ropes, and on his way back, RVD monkey flips him straight into the referee, knocking him down and out! Cesaro immediately gets in the ring and beats down RVD from behind while he can. Swagger gets up and joins in as RVD has nowhere to go! They eventually pick him up for a big double spinebusters, but RVD grabs their heads and hits a big double rolling DDT instead! With both Real Americans laid out, RVD pulls Swagger right beside Cesaro and hops up to the top rope! With Zeb Colter losing his mind on the outside, Van Dam hits a huge Five Star Frog Splash to both men at the same time, and the referee slowly comes to consciousness to count the pinfall as RVD covers Swagger! Although it's a handicap match, it still goes under tag rules, and Cena and Dean Ambrose start things off. The vicious Ambrose locks up with Cena and tries his hardest to get the best of him, but Cena is too skilled and too powerful, knocking Ambrose down multiple times with clotheslines and blocks. Ambrose eventually scrambles to get the much bigger Reigns in, who stares down Cena. They go at it, neck and neck for a while until Cena hits a big sidewalk slam. Ambrose gets in to protest, and with the referee distracted, Rollins flies from behind Cena and hits him with a big dropkick. Bryan gets in to protest as well, but the referee goes over to argue with him, allowing all three members to stomp Cena for a short while. From there they ground Cena, mostly in the corner, and work on him as a team, not allowing Bryan to get in. A swing in momentum finally comes when Reigns misses a spear and hits the ringpost allowing Bryan to get the hot tag. He comes in flying, taking out everyone in sight, and even goes over the ropes with Ambrose as he clotheslines him. He runs off the apron for a flying knee at Ambrose, but Reigns, out of nowhere spears Bryan in mid-air! Reigns rolls him back in and goes for the pin, but Cena breaks it up in time. Ambrose and Rollins divert their attention to him and toss him out of the ring for a beating, and Reigns picks up Bryan for a big powerbomb. Bryan slips behind Reigns, however, whirls him around for a headkick and locks on the Yes Lock! Reigns is about to tap when Rollins and Ambrose come in and repeatedly stomp Bryan, resulting in a DQ victory for Cena and Bryan.

JOHN CENA AND DANIEL BRYAN d. Booker says that Maddox has already booked a WWE title match, an Intercontinental Title match, a United States title match and Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk at Summerslam, but the World Heavyweight Championship is notoriously a SmackDown title, and he calls the shots on it. He says he's yet to make a decision on what match should represent his show at Summerslam, so he says he'll let the top contenders decide. Dolph Ziggler will face Alberto Del Rio this week and Big E Langston will face the champion next week in non-title matches. If either wins, they'll meet Del Rio at Summerslam in either a one-on-one or triple threat match! With the Shield unopposed at Summerslam, the winner of these top two tag teams has to be considered the front runner for the title shot. Jey and Cesaro start the match, trading offense back and forth; Cesaro using his strength and grappling ability and Uso using his agile arsenal of moves. The match just picks up steam as the Shield's music is heard through the arena. Both the Usos and The Real Americans stop fighting each other as they watch the Shield surround them at ringside. Cesaro and Swagger bail, leaving the Usos to fend for themselves as the Shield rush the ring and the referee calls the match a double DQ.

THE USOS and THE REAL AMERICANS DRAW after 8:12

Segment Rating: ©

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jimmyuso_zps3217abd7.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jeyuso_zps81ef2fc8.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/ambrose_zpsda366c04.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/rollins_zps018e1020.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/reigns_zps042b3f8a.jpg

With the bell still ringing, the Shield tear into the Usos, stomping them relentlessly. Christian has been riding a huge wave of momentum as of late, and looks to keep it going with a win over the current Intercontinental Champ. Christian and Axel lock up in the middle of the ring, where Axel uses his size and strength to overwhelm the veteran early. Christian uses some sneaky, barely legal moves to gain the advantage back, but the crowd cheers him anyways. Christian starts to pick up momentum until Axel fakes an ankle injury in the corner, drawing the attention of the referee and allowing Kassius Ohno to jump to the apron from ringside and hit Christian from behind with the KO elbow! From there Axel grounds Christian down with holds and slams, grinding him out. Eventually Axel goes for a routine Irish Whip, which Christian counters by turning around and using the momentum against Axel to hit a spear! Ohno immediately jumps to the apron to distract the referee from being able to count a pinfall, so Christian goes over to argue with him. As he does so, Axel gets up, and sets up to lay Christian out with the big boot from behind, but the move is ducked and Axel connects with Ohno instead, who goes flying! Christian grabs Axel, hits the Killswitch and gets the pinfall for a huge victory over the champion!

CHRISTIAN d. The two are more than familiar with each other, so some early lock-ups result in nothing but a stalemate. They transition out each others holds and run the ropes countering each others moves for a short while until Ziggler hits a big flying lariat, putting Del Rio on the run. Ricardo goes to the apron to protest the legality of the strike, allowing ADR to hit a brutal headkick from behind on the distracted Ziggler. From there he mercilessly abuses Ziggler, going after his head as usual, as the announcers cringe at the potential brain trauma. This continues for quite some time until Ziggler rolls out of an ankle lock and hits Del Rio with a Superkick of his own! Again Ricardo argues the legality of the move from the apron, so Ziggler hits him with a Superkick as well! This enrages Del Rio, who, given the time to recover gets up and grabs Ziggler, but Ziggler spins him around and tosses him into the corner instead. Unfortunately, the referee was also in the corner and this move knocks him incapacitated. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag on the stumbling Alberto Del Rio and goes for the pinfall, but there's no one to count it! After at least 10 seconds on top of Del Rio, he finally gets up as Big E Langston runs down to the ring! He slides in and Ziggler gets right in his face, but neither can hit each other due to the threat of suspension. They stare down in the middle of the ring until Big E hits Alberto Del Rio, who was just getting to his feet again, with a huge clothesline! As the referee gets up, Big E hits Del Rio with a Big Ending, causing the match to end in a DQ loss for Ziggler, subsequently costing him both the match and his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam!

ALBERTO DEL RIO d. Ziggler gets up, shocked, swearing to anyone that will listen that it was an accident. SmackDown ends as Ziggler walks up the ramp with his hands on his head, disappointed and shocked; most likely suspended with no title match at Summerslam.

Segment Rating: (B+)

OVERALL SHOW RATING: B

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/smackdown_zps6b94cb2c.jpg

-

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/maineventlogo_zps874530a7.jpg

WWE Main Event

August 11th, 2013

Rockford, Illinois

MAIN CARD:

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jinder_zps2a85e62f.jpg vs. http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/rey_zps4679b77a.jpg

JINDER MAHAL vs REY MYSTERIO

Main Event opens up with in-ring singles action this week as we're greeted by the announce team. Wyatt starts off the match standing in a cross pose, taunting the Miz. Miz takes offense and start to throw strikes at Wyatt, who takes each one while laughing. He flips the table by grabbing Miz and throwing him into the corner for some strikes of his own. He backs off and charges at Miz in the corner, but Miz rolls away, leaving Bray to smash into nothing but the turnbuckle, knocking the air out of himself. From there, the Miz mounts some offense with some arm drags and dropkicks, but Bray reverses a charging Miz with a big back body drop to the outside. Bray distracts the referee for a moment, as his family takes cue to beat Miz on the outside. They throw him back in and from there Bray stays in the driver's seat. He grounds Miz, throwing on holds and taunting and slapping him at every chance. The twisted Wyatt brings Miz outside, tossing him into the steps and ringpost at every given chance. He throws Miz back in, and sets him up for the sweet Abigail, but Miz twists out and dropkicks Bray into the turnbuckle. Unfortunately, the turnbuckle was where the referee was situated, and he goes down as well. The Wyatt Family immediately jumps into the ring from the outside and lay the boots to the Miz, until Bray shoves them away. He lifts Miz up, gives him a kiss on the forehead and hits the Sweet Abigail as Luke Harper wakes up the referee to count the pinfall.

BRAY WYATT d. After joining in with the crowd's "Yes!" chants, he calms them down to speak. He says he doesn't care if Mr. McMahon puts his career on the line because he's worked his entire life to get to this point and there is no way John Cena, a man he doesn't even respect as a competitor, will stop him from achieving his goals. Bryan says he's dreamed of becoming the WWE Champion his entire life, wrestling in gyms and veteran's halls to get this point, whereas for John Cena the WWE title was an afterthought. Bryan says Cena was just a bodybuilder, hand-picked and hand fed on his way to the top to fuel Mr. McMahon's insatiable need for brawn over skill...but even Mr. McMahon has turned on Cena. "Mr. McMahon, the fans, his wife" Bryan says. "They've all turned on him, because they all came to the same realization...John Cena is a fraud."

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/Cena_zps619dd430.jpg

With that, John Cena's music hits and the champ comes to the ring looking dead serious. "A fraud?" He says. He takes the WWE Championship belt off his waist, lifts it to Bryan's face and tells him it looks pretty damned real to him. Cena tells Bryan he might be right that John Cena 's roots in wrestling aren't nearly as deep as Bryan's and maybe he was hand-picked, but he says he was hand-picked for a reason. Cena says he was picked because he was the right choice to be "the guy", and when no one else could carry this company, he put it on his back, injured or not, to make sure it stayed going in the right direction. Cena tells Bryan that he may not respect him, and that's fine with him for the time being, but he respects Bryan both because he has to as his opponent and because he deserves it. Cena tells Bryan that at Summerslam after John Cena beats Daniel Bryan and forces him out of the WWE, Bryan will learn to respect him, whether he likes it or not. The two face off, in what seems like a great time for a break, when, as he does best...

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/vince_zps332f3b39.jpg

Mr. McMahon comes down to interrupt. He struts down to the ring, obviously proud of the situation he's put the two in and grabs a mic. He asks Bryan if he really believes what John Cena is telling him. He says that he might hate Daniel Bryan, but he's undeniably right about one thing: John Cena is a fraud...And he's going to prove it. He says that in tonight's main event of Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton, John Cena will be the special guest referee! McMahon then gets in Cena's face. "You see, John. You're no different than me. When your back is against the wall, your career is on the line, when the chips are down and you have the opportunity to gain an advantage in the palm of your hands....we'll all see you for what you really are...A fraud." Before the match starts, the announce team tells us that Dolph Ziggler has been suspended indefinitely after his actions following his match with Del Rio on SmackDown. Del Rio and Mysterio lock up in the middle of the ring, but Mysterio craftily slips out and around the champ, hitting him with some high flying offense along the way. He gets Del Rio positioned for an early 619, but Del Rio ducks it and dropkicks Mysterio to the ground outside. The referee warns him, which Ricardo takes as an opportunity to beat Rey with the metal spit-bucket he carries. Del Rio rolls Rey back into the ring and from there grounds him with leglocks and kicks to his lower half. He continues to grind away at Rey for a short while until Rey counters, again putting Del Rio in the 619 position, but this time Del Rio bails to ringside. He tries to catch his breath, but Big E Langston runs down from backstage and tackles Del Rio from behind causing the referee to call the match!

ALBERTO d. The Usos have the United on the run until Barrett cowardly throws Jey Uso headfirst into the referee, clearly on purpose. They go neck and neck for a short while, Van Dam getting in some nice counters and trademark moves until Ohno hits an undetected groin shot with the referee at an obstructed angle, and mounts the offensive from there. He grinds RVD down with rest holds until a monkey flip send Ohno flying and to the outside! At this point, Curtis Axel runs down to the ring, and, obviously not caring about getting Ohno disqualified, tries to nail RVD with a big boot, but he ducks and Axel goes flying to the outside as well! What's the rub?" Heyman laughs. "You know Punk, I never give you enough credit." He says. "Try as I might to thwart you, you cut me off at every avenue with that big brain of yours. I mean, you knew well enough that I was trying to set you up. You knew the game I was playing, you even went out and got these two guys to play along! But guess what Punk? Sometimes...the rules change." Suddenly, Leo Kruger and Richie Steamboat, thought to be Punk's aid for the night, beat him to the ground and stomp him senseless! Brock and Heyman laugh, until Heyman orders them off. Heyman grabs Punk by the jowels and gets in his face. "You stupid son of a bitch! You thought you could outsmart me? You thought you could buy these two men's allegiance with promises of fame? Well you know what speaks louder than idle promises, Punk? Cash. A couple of bucks and these two turned on you and left you lying in a heap. A couple of bucks to outsmart you, Punk. That's all it cost and that's why you were the best. You had me, and without me, you're nothing...and come Sunday at Summerslam, the Beast...will undeniably become the Best...Get 'em Brock." Heyman drops the mic and Lesnar picks up the barely conscious Punk to his shoulders. He delivers a huge F5, sending Punk crashing through the set-up table in the ring! John Cena, however, will be the special guest referee, leading the announcers to wonder aloud if he'll call it down the middle, or call it towards one man or the other, as both are breathing down his neck for the title! Bryan and Orton start it off by locking up in the middle of the ring, but neither can gain an advantage early. They trade offense back and forth for a while, neither being able to gain any significant momentum until Orton goes for a neckbreaker, but Bryan swings him around and hits him with a big counter DDT! Bryan goes up to the top rope for a dving headbutt and gets air, but Orton catches him at the last second for an RKO! He didn't get all of it, but it still landed, so Orton covers him up. Cena counts, but Bryan somehow kicks out just before 3! Orton gets up, incredulous that Bryan could kick out and gets in Cena's face only for Cena to point to the WWE logo and says he's calling it down the middle. Orton cocks his fist as if he's going to punch Cena, trying to gauge his reaction, but when Cena stands his ground, he just turns around. Unfortunately for him, Bryan is back up at this point, and he trips Orton to the ground and slaps on the Yes Lock! Orton writhes in pain and comes close to tapping, but somehow rolls out and both men get to their feet. They charge at each other, but Bryan slides right through Orton's legs. Orton turns around to leg kicks from Bryan, but when he goes for a headkick, Orton ducks it and hits another RKO! He exhaustedly covers Bryan again for Cena to count the pin, but again somehow Bryan kicks out! Orton is furious this time and gets in Cena's face; an argumentl which quickly turns heated as Orton lays Cena out with an RKO! With Bryan and Cena out, Vince McMahon comes down the ramp with Ryback, ordering him into the ring! They get in, and an incredulous Randy Orton asks what they're doing, only for Vince to shove him away. Ryback picks up Daniel Bryan and hits him with a Shellshocked as the crowd boos loudly. Ryback then slowly drags Cena to his feet as McMahon orders him on. He picks Cena up, but Cena shoves him into McMahon, knocking him out of the ring! Ryback looks back at what he's done in shock, but when he turns back around, Cena hits him with the Attitude Adjustment! Ryback rolls out of the ring as Cena talks trash, but turns around to another RKO attempt from Orton. This time Cena is ready and shoves him forward into a now-standing Daniel Bryan, who trips him with a drop toe hold and locks on the Yes Lock again! This time Orton has nowhere to go and no way out and he taps in the center of the ring as Cena calls for the bell! Daniel Bryan gets a huge victory leading into Summerslam!

DANIEL BRYAN d.
I never do this but I'm gonna bump my own thread because I just realised that not only did I post my update at like 3 am last night, but it was the last post of the page so some people may have just assumed I hadn't posted it yet.

Anyways, gonna post SmackDown before 5 and try to get Summerslam up before the real thing tomorrow. Remember to make predictions for Summerslam cause I'm doing booking prizes!
