Pretense: Unfortunately, my last thread died because of a computer crash that lost both my save file, and future writeups for a few episodes of shows, so a delayed apology to those of you that were regularly putting in predictions and such. I burnt out on the game and these forums because of it, but I've recently got a writing job and I figured I might as well use my leisure time in a constructive way and get practice wherever I can. With that being said, I'll be doing a dynasty of current day WWE, picking up from the second Raw after MITB, right after John Cena chose Daniel Bryan as his opponent for Summerslam (when I started the save file). I know a present day sim might be an unpopular choice, with the idea more or less being done to death, but that's why I chose it. With some crafty storytelling and a gritty, athletic focused product that Triple H and the real world WWE seem to be pushing towards as well, I think a current day WWE thread can be interesting and taken towards some pretty cool directions. But anyways, on to what matters:

After a few quick exchanges, Orton takes control of the match in the early goings. Sandow is on the run for most of the match, getting in some rare offense based mostly off of counters and rest-holds, until Orton attempts to Irish Whip him into the corner. Sandow counters by whipping Orton into the opposite corner, knocking the ref down and out in the process. Orton looks on at the ref to see if he's still conscious when Sandow, without missing a beat, low blows Orton from behind, knocking him down as well. Taking this as an opportunity, Sandow goes to ringside and grabs his MITB case before sliding back in the ring. He stands in anticipation of Orton getting up, with the obvious plan of clocking him with the briefcase, but Cody Rhodes runs down the ramp, grabs the case out of Sandows hands and bails out of the ring. Sandow screams to Cody at ringside before turning around to continue his attack on Orton. Unfortunately, Orton is already up and waiting and Sandow eats an RKO! The referee gets up just in time to count the pin and Orton gets the win.

RANDY ORTON d. The two square up at the start of the match to talk some trash, but a shoving match barely nudges Big E, while Ziggler is launched through the ropes and under the ring. Much like the Jericho/Ryback match before it, the big man in Big E grinds down the smaller opponent with holds and pure strength, letting Ziggler mount little offense or time to gain momentum. In a show of said strength, Big E lifts Ziggler up for a press slam, but when he drops him, Ziggler catches Big E's head and hits a desperation Zig Zag! Big E is out cold, but Ziggler is too tired to capitalize. He slowly gets up, but AJ, realizing Big E is in trouble, gets in the ring with her Diva's title. Ziggler sees this and tells her to go ahead and get Big E DQ'd and let him win. He laughs as he turns back around, but it's just in time for Big E to get up and lay Ziggler out with a clothesline. He picks Ziggler up for the Big Ending, but again Ziggler counters with a Zig Zag, this time picking up the 1-2-3 for the pinfall victory!

DOLPH ZIGGLER d. Cena and Bryan argue over who is going to start the match, but Henry shoves past both to get at Dean Ambrose and he becomes the legal man to start the match. Seems the Cena, Bryan and Henry team's off to a rocky start with some tension before the bell even rings. Henry takes Ambrose right down and pounds him until Reigns and Rollins step in to break it up. Bryan and Cena jump in to even it up and the match deteriorates to a brawl rather quickly. Eventually, after all six man battle on the outside, Henry and Ambrose find their way back into the ring and the referee gets the match under control. Henry tags in Cena to a mixture of cheers and boos just as Roman Reigns gets tagged in as the other legal man. Cena and Reigns go back and forth until Reigns ducks a clothesline and Rollins slips a knee to Cena's back from the apron, knocking the champ down. From there, the Shield ground Cena and don't allow the hungry Mark Henry or fresh Daniel Bryan into the match. Eventually, after all three Shield members get a turn beating on Cena, he hits a rare enziguri on Seth Rollins and musters enough energy to tag Bryan in. Bryan comes in hot and takes out everyone in the site with running clotheslines. Bryan is flying, and knocks Ambrose out of the ring with a jumping back elbow. As he does this, Cena smacks him on the back, without Bryan noticing, thus becoming the legal man. Rollins gets up and takes a clothesline swing at an unsuspecting Bryan as he turns back around, but Bryan quickly grabs Rollins' arm and counters with a Yes Lock! Rollins begins to tap out, but the bell doesn't ring as, unbeknownst to Bryan, he's not the legal man. Bryan gets up questioning the ref as to why he hasn't won the match, but before he has a chance to get an answer, he's speared by Reigns and rolls out of the ring. Charisma's July 2013 mod. As for the ratings, I didn't think they were that high, I only had one A segment, but I didn't use many new/yet to get over/not over talents, with the exception of Josh Matthews, the Wyatts, Tons of Funk,etc.. but even then, I put them in with guys that'd pull decent segment ratings like the Real Americans, the Miz, Mark Henry, etc... I plan on calling some NXT guys up soon, so the midcard segments will see a dip in ratings.

He wants to tell Daniel Bryan that he knew he and John Cena had it in them to work together and beat the Shield, and that no one is more proud than Brad Maddox to see Daniel Bryan succeed. A smug Maddox tells Bryan that he means everything he says and makes his decision with great care. In fact, he's made another decision to give Bryan a chance to prove to himself and the WWE universe that he does, in fact, deserve a shot at the WWE title because in addition to his match against Curtis Axel tonight in the main event, he will have to face the returning Big Show on Raw! The two grapple in the middling of the ring to start, and Kofi's speed sets them apart early. He hits Ambrose with some high flying offense until Ambrose counters a flying cross-body with a knee to the stomach. From there he grinds Kofi down, using a few rest holds and his own high-paced offense, eventually resulting in Kofi being clotheslined over the top rope to the outside, where Ambrose follows him. Ambrose picks Kofi up and slams him onto the outside railing, stomach first, drawing the ire of the referee. With the referee distracted by arguing with Ambrose, Seth Rollins grabs Kofi and goes to punch him, but Kofi stops him and headbutts him away. He turns around, however, just in time to be speared by a charging Roman Reigns, and then tossed limply into the ring. Ambrose takes notice, stops arguing with the ref, and rolls back into the ring where he hits a headlock driver for good measure and picks up the pinfall.

DEAN AMBROSE D. Bryan and Axel lock up in the ring, exchanging holds and submissions for a while, showing off some impressive matwork. Bryan eventually gains some momentum and knocks Axel over the top rope with a flying clothesline, spilling him to the outside. Bryan, taking no time to catch his breath, runs across the apron in an attempt to hit Axel with a flying knee, but He's caught in mid air and has his back slammed against the ringpost by Axel for his troubles. Axel gets back in the ring and out to break the count so he can continue his assaults. He Irish Whips Bryan into the steel ringsteps, causing him to clutch at his shoulder in pain. He begins to argue with the referee over his dirty tactics, which Heyman takes as an opportunity to choke the #1 contender with his tie. Axel stops arguing and throws Bryan back into the ring, but can't get a three count. After dolling out some more punishment to Bryan, Axel finds one of his whips to the corner reversed and Bryan sends Axel crashing into the referee by accident. Heyman takes this as an another opportunity to get a cheapshot in on Bryan, so he hops into the ring with Axel's Intercontinental Championship. Chris Jericho abandons the announce both, pulls Heyman back to the outside and lays him out a punch. Jericho turns around to get into the ring but he's hit with a baseball slide to the face by Axel, who himself turns around into a Yes Lock from Daniel Bryan! The referee gets up in time to see Axel tapping as Daniel Bryan is announced the winner!

DANIEL BRYAN d. Jey goes for a desperation counter kick to a charging Swagger, but it's countered into the Patriot Lock! Jey considerings tapping out but he sommersaults forward, countering out of the submission and launching Swagger at Cesaro, who tag himself in. At the other side of the ring, however, Jimmy Uso finally gets the hot tag and cleans house using his speed. He launches Antonio Cesaro to ringside and he and Jey hit their double diving splash to Cesaro on the outside. Jimmy gets back in to break the count, but is attacked from behind by the illegal man, Jack Swagger, as the referee is distracted. Swagger hits the gutwrench powerbomb on Jimmy, laying him out, allowing Cesaro to slip back in the ring for the pinfall victory, and a big one at that, for the Real Americans.

Segment Rating: ©

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/sandow_zps759b1d6a.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/rhodes_zpsfb3060e3.jpg

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes tag-team break-up is chronicled in a video package. DiBiase starts the match off surprisingly well, with an early grappling advantage over the reigning champion. After frustrating Axel for a minute, DiBiase makes a rookie mistake which Axel capatlizes on. From there he grinds DiBiase down, not letting him work up any momentum outside a few counters and flurries. The challenger does, however, swing the momentum when he ducks an Axel clothesline, and puts him in the Cobra Clutch to hit the Dream Crusher! With Axel laid out in the ring, DiBiase stalks him, waiting for his moment to finish the match. Axel staggers to his feet, and DiBiase locks on the Million Dollar Dream, the cobra clutch submission his father made famous, right in the middle of the ring. Axel looks to be going nowhere and the referee gets in close to see if he plans to submit, but the champion uses this to his advantage as he kicks backwards, hitting DiBiase in the groin and keeling him over. Don't forget you can start new title reigns manually, so only one title would need to be on the line in the actual match entry! (useful for MITB cash in segments, etc...)

Ahhh true... I did think this as I wrote that... I may do a similar match myself one day... Maybe with tag champs on one side, and singles champ on the other, meaning that one of the Titles HAD to change hands...

I'm still saying The Shield retain :)

They grapple back and forth for quite some time until Jericho gains an advantage with a flying dropkick. From there Axel grounds Jericho with holds as Paul Heyman orders his every move from ringside. Jericho swings the momentum when he counters a vertical suplex into a snap DDT, laying Axel out! Jericho gets up, noticing the chance he has, and goes for a Liontamer, but Heyman jumps to apron, preventing him. Jericho screams at Heyman and the referee tries to get Heyman back to ringside when NXT wrestler, Kassius Ohno runs down to the ring! Ohno whips Jericho around, grabs his head in a headlock and hits the Ohno Bomb in the center of the ring! Jimmy and Jey Uso follow suit and cut off Rollins and Reigns. They brawl on the outside for a short while and the match finally gets starts when Rollins and Jey Uso wind up inside. The two use their high flying skillsets to set a frenetic pace to the match, and that continues when Jimmy Uso gets tagged in. Jimmy has Rollins on the run, but Rollins hits an enziguri on Uso and finally makes the tag to get Dean Ambrose in. Jimmy tries to get to Henry for a tag but Ambrose pulls him away and laughs at Henry. The Shield work on Jimmy for the next few minutes, but he finally slips under a clothesline in time to get the tag to Mark Henry. Ambrose immediately backs off, and Henry charges at him, but Reigns jumps into the ring and spears Henry! The referee tries to order Rollins and Reigns out, but the Usos do it for him by knocking them down to the mat below and hitting the double diving splash! The referee tries to maintain order at ringside when Ambrose re-enters the ring with his United States title and smacks Henry with it. He slides it out of the ring, calls the refs attention and picks up the pinfall victory for his team.

THE SHIELD d. Del Rio locks in an early armbar, but Ziggler, still fresh, squirms out and away. It seems Ziggler is thinking better of the ground now, as he locks up with Del Rio. The two go back and forth, Del Rio gaining the most significant offense off of his repeated abuse of Dolph's skull with his headkicks. Del Rio grounds Dolph with sleepers, until his overconfidence gets him countered with a swinging neckbreaker and Dolph goes on the offensive. He hits ADR with a few clotheslines, but Del Rio ducks one, kicks Ziggler in the stomach and swings away for a headkick. Ziggler, on fresh legs, ducks the kick, and hits Del Rio with a Zig Zag! Cena re-strategizes and hits a knee to the midsection next time he comes off the ropes at Ryback and mounts his offense. Cena hits a few moves in succession, but Ryback counters an early five knuckle shuffle attempt with a big clothesline. Cena checks the referee, but Ryback uses it as an opportunity to throw a chop block at the back of Cena's leg. Cena goes down in pain after the illegal move, and Ryback heads to ringside to grab Cena's WWE Title, with the obvious intention of hitting him with it. He gets on the apron with it, but Bryan leaves commentary to take it away from him. Ryback turns to Bryan, stunned, when Cena grabs him and suplexes him back in from the apron. In a rare occurrence, he doesn't join the crowd in their "Yes!" chants, instead opting to head right to the middle of the ring, where he begins to speak. Bryan says he has no problem being put through the wringer and made to wrestle night in, night out, because he's being doing for as long as he can remember, in school gym's angd bingo halls all across the world his entire life. What he does have a problem with, however, is spineless yes-men who allow the old boy's club to call the shots, and mess with his destiny, because they're too cowardly to make a decision for themselves. Spinless yes-men that jeopardize his career with this company. Spineless yes-men like Brad Maddox. He tries to further tear into Maddox when the man of the moment himself comes out.

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/maddox_zpsafe9c668.jpg

Brad Maddox comes to the rampway, but goes no further, and addresses Bryan from there. Maddox tells Bryan that he's offended, because he does make his own decisions. He says it was his decision that even got Daniel Bryan his title shot at Summerslam, so a little respect would be nice. The crowd boos this loudly, but Maddox saunters on. Maddox tells Bryan that ironically, seeing as he has no jurisdiction on SmackDown, he's here in more of a courier capacity. Maddox says that he was given a message, straight from WWE HQ, to come here tonight and inform Daniel Bryan that he'll be competing in tonight's main event against Randy Orton! The crowd cheers approvingly, as Maddox goes on. He tells Bryan to takes notes, because if by some divine intervention he actually wins the title at Summerslam, and doesn't lose his job in the WWE, he has a feeling that tonight's match against Orton is just a taste of things to come. SmackDown heads to it's first commercial.

Segment Rating: (B)

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jimmyuso_zps3217abd7.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jeyuso_zps81ef2fc8.jpg vs http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/primo_zpse1ed8792.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/epico_zpscfcd3411.jpg

THE USOS vs PRIMO AND EPICO

SmackDown's first match is a big tag team bout as the Usos look to bounce back from their loss against Shield on Monday, and Primo and Epico look to get a much needed victory. The winner of this match is right back in the mix for a Tag Title shot at Summerslam. In a high flying affair, both teams gets in their share of offense, with Primo and Epico trying to ground the aerial Usos as much as possible. "Fandango..." he says "Those people parade around our streets and make a mockery of marriage and you cheer him over these Real Americans?" Bryan and Orton circle the ring for a while, soaking in the big match atmosphere before locking up in the center of the ring. Orton goes for an early headlock but Bryan slides out and mounts the offense by running the ropes and hitting some flying attacks. From there the match swaps between Orton trying to ground Bryan with his usual arsenal of rest holds and Bryan's grappling skills and counter ability. The match eventually spills to the outside where Bryan tries to hit a flying knee from the apron, but Orton ducks it and lays Bryan out cold on the outside with a DDT. Both men lay on the outside as the referee counts, when Mr. McMahon angrily struts down to the ring! As Orton gets to his feet, Vince rolls Bryan into the ring. Vince gets in and heads right for the referee, who he tells not to DQ Orton under any circumstances. The referee protests, saying he has to uphold the rules, so Vince grabs him by the collar and tosses him out of the ring! The referee lands with such force that he's knocked cold, so Vince orders Orton to grab a chair from ringside and get back in the ring. Orton reluctantly does so and slowly gets in the ring. McMahon then orders him to beat Bryan senseless with it. Orton protests, but McMahon grows furious and threatens him. Orton slowly pulls the chair back to reluctantly beat Bryan with it, when Sheamus runs down to the ring undetected and grabs the chair out of Orton's hands before he can swing it! Orton turns around, shocked, and Sheamus smacks Orton over the skull with it for his sweet revenge! Mr. McMahon looks frozen in shock as Sheamus rolls to ringside and throws the referee into the ring. Bryan rolls onto Orton as the referee, the crowd and Sheamus all count to three in unison, as Daniel Bryan gets a huge victory on SmackDown!

DANIEL BRYAN d. The two circle for a moment, feeling each other out, before locking up in the middle of the ring. Cesaro gets off a few holds and power moves, but Van Dam's speed and agility is too much for him. Van Dam knocks him down with a spinning wheel kick and goes for the Rolling Thunder, but Zeb Colter jumps on the apron to prevent him from running the ropes. Van Dam and the referee argue with him, allowing Cesaro to come from behind and hit a big jumping neckbreaker on Van Dam. From there he grounds Van Dam, transitioning masterfully from submission hold to hold. During a break from Cesaro's grappling, Van Dam tries to kick at his opponent, but the Cesaro locks on Jack Swagger's Patriot Lock! Van Dam counters by rolling to his back, and as he stands, shows off great flexibility by connecting with a standing enziguri! Cesaro falls down to the mat, letting Van Dam go up to the top rope for his Five Star Frog Splash, but Zeb Colter creates a distraction at the other side of the ring. With the referee again distracted, Swagger climbs up the apron and holds RVD down, stopping him from jumping. RVD finally shoves Swagger off and goes for the splash, but Cesaro had been given too much time recover and counters by hitting a big European Uppercut out of mid air! RVD goes down, but somehow Cesaro only gets a two count. Cesaro goes to pick him up, but RVD counters by grabbing Cesaro's leg and rolling into a Patriot Lock of his own! This enrages Colter, as he again gets up to the apron, and RVD again goes to argue with him. Swagger however, sneaks in the other side and charges at RVD, only to have him duck out of the way, making Swagger knock Colter to the floor. RVD dropkicks Swagger out of the ring, but turns around to a kick in the stomach from Cesaro. Cesaro sets him up for the Neutralizer, but as he pulls him upwards, Van Dam flips forward onto Cesaro shoulders in the powerbomb position, grabs his head and delivers a viscious tiltawhirl DDT! With Cesaro and his posse down, Van Dam heads to the top rope and hits the Five Star Frog Splash for a big victory!

ROB VAN DAM d. As the crowd boos, Colter, Cesaro and Swagger line up and shout "We, the people!" as Main Event goes off the air.

Segment Rating: (B-)

OVERALL SHOW RATING: B

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/maineventlogo_zps874530a7.jpg

-

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/RAW_zps4c2743b2.jpg

RAW PREVIEW

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/bryan_zps78f98778.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/Cena_zps619dd430.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/ambrose_zpsda366c04.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/rollins_zps018e1020.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/reigns_zps042b3f8a.jpg

Last week, both John Cena and Daniel Bryan were made to fight giants at the hands or Mr. McMah-sorry...Brad Maddox, and Daniel Bryan was forced to put his career on the line at Summerslam. Seems like things haven't changed as this week's main event pits Daniel Bryan and John Cena against the Shield! Will the tension between Cena and Bryan be too much for even the two most popular Superstars in the company to take on the Shield? And what will the already livid Mr. McMahon do if they do defeat them?

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/punk_zps9c07e8c6.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/heyman_zps91e289d6.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/lesnar_zpsd10a6085.jpg

Last week on Raw, CM Punk recruited NXT wrestlers Richie Steamboat and Leo Kruger to help him kidnap Paul Heyman. Punk then leveraged this into a match against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. It's guaranteed that both Heyman and Lesnar will be seeking retribution this week, but will they get it? Will Punk even show?

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/wyatt_zps6735e63d.jpg

For weeks Bray Wyatt has taunted Kane with no reply, but this week it looks like Kane finally broke the silence as Wyatt was delivered a letter that said "See you at Summerslam." Word is we're expecting a huge return this week. Could Kane finally be back for retribution against his attackers; the Wyatt Family?

http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/jericho_zps973c85b1.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/ohno_zps15fa54a6.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/henry_zps286f3ef0.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/ryback_zps035f9ea7.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/rvd_zpsfdeeb2a3.jpghttp://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b638/staygold666/swagger_zpsbbbd1e35.jpg

That's just the tip of the iceberg this week as Raw is filled with other highly anticipated matchups such as Chris Jericho vs Kassius Ohno, Jack Swagger vs Rob Van Dam and a Wrestlemania rematch in Mark Henry vs Ryback!

Predictions:

The Miz vs Xavier Woods (NXT)

Aiden English (NXT) vs Cody Rhodes

The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) vs Hawkins and Ryder

Primo and Epico vs Yoshi Tatsu and Sin Cara

Hunico vs Rey Mysterio

-

Chris Jericho vs Kassius Ohno

Fandango and R-Truth vs The Prime Time Players

Kofi Kingston vs The Big Show

Christian vs Damien Sandow

Mark Henry vs Ryback

Jack Swagger vs Rob Van Dam

Natalya Neidhart vs Tamina

John Cena and Daniel Bryan vs The Shield

Last Week's Predictions:

Ayden: 14/14 (Wow, good job dude)

The Lloyd: 11/14

Owen Rey: 11/14
