WWE 2013 – GOLD!

It’s a Marathon Not a Sprint!

Summer Slam 2013 saw one of the best wrestling matches of the year for WWE, when the future of WWE in Daniel Bryan faced off in a losing effort to WWE Champion John Cena. The match for a phenomenal 25 minutes, however it wasn’t without a colossal toll. John Cena won the match but lost the battle to his fondness for injury as he suffered a torn rotator, this has ruled him out for at least 4 months which could last even longer. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Black%20logos/Raw.jpg</span><p>

It’s the night after Summerslam and Monday night Raw begins with the cameras moving around the arena and the enormous pyrotechnics booming around the arena and the crowd are hot already. Coming off of one of the best main events in months, John Cena and Daniel Bryan put on a clinic and the fans are ready for round two.</p><p>

However, the opening segment of the night is started by Triple H who gets a mixed reaction from the crowd but he doesn’t care. He enters the ring in his sharp suit and takes to microphone. He welcomes the crowd to Monday night Raw and shows them the footage from last nights event. Near the end of the video Triple H points at the second when Cena tears his rotator cuff and shelves him for at least 4 months.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Triple H: </strong>This ladies and gentleman is the reason that WWE has the best sports entertainers around! They show 100% commitment all year round. However this commitment comes with a cost and John Cena knows that too well, so lets welcome out the 11 time WWE Champion…John Cena!</p><p> </p><p>

Triple H introduces the Champ and his music blasts throughout the arena and as the fans begin to get louder and louder they soon see Cena walking down to the ring with his arm in a thick black medical sling and grimacing in pain but continuing to keep a brave face. Triple H holds the ropes open for the veteran champ but he doesn’t look to pleased at the help of the predicament he is in.</p><p> </p><p>

Cena tells the fans that he has indeed injured his shoulder but that he will be back before they know it and that giving up the WWE Championship is the hardest and saddest moment in his career. But also tells the crowd that he will be back and he will be WWE Champion again!</p><p> </p><p>

Triple H shakes the good hand of Cena before taking the belt and leaving the ring and Cena to bow to the fans in his swan song before leaving for the WWE.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 84 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Grafitti/AntonioCesaro.jpg</span><span>http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Grafitti/ChrisHero.jpg</span> vs. <span>http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Grafitti/Tensai.jpg</span><span>http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Pink/BrodusClay.jpg</span></p><p>

Kings of Wrestling vs. Tons of Funk</p><p>

In the opening match we saw a decent tag bout of Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno against Tons of Funk: Tensai and Brodus Clay. The match went for 12 minutes before Kassius Ohno used his “loaded” elbow to knockout Brodus Clay whilst Cesaro had Tensai occupied on the outside.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 61 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After a commercial break we see Triple H talking to John Cena in the corridor, but they are soon interrupted by Daniel Bryan. He begins a rant about how he should be the WWE Champion by way of default; he is number one contender thus the next in line to be the champion. However Triple H shoots him down instantly by saying no…</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Daniel Bryan:</strong> Yes!</p><p>

<strong>Triple H: </strong>No!</p><p>

<strong>Daniel Bryan:</strong> Yes!!</p><p>

<strong>Triple H:</strong> No!!</p><p>

<strong>Daniel Bryan:</strong> Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!</p><p>

Daniel Bryan walks off out of view of the camera but the crowd starts chanting Yes to Triple H in a show of support for the bearded superstar.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 77 ---</strong></p><p>

Adrien Neville vs. The Miz</p><p>

The next between The Miz and Adrien Neville was on SummerSlam last night and as Adrien Neville is trying to give the WWE Universe and locker room a signal of intent. This is Neville trying to make his way through the ranks of the company; however it didn’t quite go to plan as The Miz won when he hit him with his patented Skull Crushing Finale. He planted Neville on his head following a springboard moonsault DDT which land a foot in front of The Miz.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 66 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The next segment see Triple H once again, however this time he has been called out to the ring by Daniel Bryan who is ranting once again about how he should be the WWE Champion but Triple H is not having any of it.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 81 ---</strong></p><p>

<strong>Kaitlyn vs. Natalya</strong></p><p>

The next match saw the Divas in action in a poor match between Natalya and Kaitlyn with AJ Lee on commentary. This was the aspect that saved the match as AJ Lee constantly ripped into the Divas saying that neither (especially Kaitlyn) were good enough to take her title. Kaitlyn picked up the win.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 50 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The next segment is a video hyping the previous match between RVD and Dean Ambrose.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 59 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

This match saw RVD succumb to the odds and lose a handicap match against the Shield when they used their odds to beat down on the Mr Monday Night. The finish came when Reigns and Seth Rollins hit him with their finishers and Dean Ambrose put one foot on RVD’s chest to pick up the win.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 72 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Following Daniel Bryan’s interactions with Triple H all night, CM Punk had had enough and decided to take matters into his own hands as he went to the ring and called out Triple H saying he deserved to be the champion because he was the best in the world and thusly got the crowd chanting his name. However instead of Triple H he had Ryback marching down to the ring and grab a microphone from ringside. As the crowd chant best in the world, Ryback says three words down the microphone:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ryback:</strong> Feed Me More!</p><p> </p><p>

The crowd continues to chant Best in the World at Punk causing Ryback to grow more irate but before they can come to blows, out walks Dolph Ziggler who pleads his case, followed by Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes, Big Show and finally Christian who says he deserves the belt. However they all silent when a familiar entrance theme blasts throughout the arena making everyone take a step back even the largest athlete in the world.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/zeOMZqrT06o?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="2013 WWE Brock Lesnar Entrance Video [HD]"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p>

Brock Lesnar stands walks out onto the entrance ramp with Paul Heyman alongside him but they say nothing, instead Lesnar stands flexing his shoulders whilst shaking his head.</p><p> </p><p>

The camera cuts to black.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 74 ---</strong> </p><p>

<strong>World Heavyweight Championship:</strong></p><p>

Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton</p><p>

The main event begins and ends with Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton on fine form, however there can only be one winner and that winner is Alberto Del Rio. He finished the match with the arm bar and Orton could not continue. Afterwards Orton seemed to be feeling the effects of the match and left the ringside area looking angered.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>--- 75 ---</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Following a disastrous performance on this past Fridays Smackdown, Rosa Mendes has been added to the future endeavored list and it is said that many more, who "cannot cut the mustard" will be leaving the company in a shake up by Vince McMahon, Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon.</p><p>

Welcome to Headlocks and Headlines and today we have heard that there is a potential heel turn coming soon in WWE and it is said to be a major star. Some names that have been rumored include: Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. However inside sources have not guaranteed a name as of yet. Also in breaking news, WWE have told us that there is going to be an enormous announcement regarding the WWE Championship situation and this will be coming on Raw this Monday Night from WWE COO; Triple H.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Monday Night Raw opens with the typical fair, but it doesn’t last long as Mr. McMahons music blasts throughout the arena and out he walks. But before he walks into the ring, he stops and turns to face the big screen and on it displays Triple H’s entrance video along with:

Triple H King of Kings

Out he marches without a bottle of water in hand and instead with a microphone, dressed to the nines he walks to the ring where he stands beside his father-in-law and the both stop before entering the ring waiting for the final member of the McMahon family and sure enough to her theme song out struts Steph in her business suit. All three of them enter the ring with a microphone in hand.

Vince: Ladies and Gentleman welcome to MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!

Triple H smiles in respect of the owner before raising the microphone to his mouth.

Triple H: Welcome to the greatest show on earth and do we have a show for you tonight, tonight we will see…

Stephanie interjects before Triple H can finish and she begins to speak.

Stephanie: Dad, Hunter. Lets just get straight down to business; everyone is waiting to see what will happen with the WWE Championship now that there is no John Cena!

Vince goes on to say there will be an open tournament in which the top men of this company will battle it out to become the WWE Champion and the tournament final. Well that will be at the grandest stage of them all… WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden!!

Triple H points out that there is not just the WWE Championship on the line but the chance to take part in the main event of WRESTLEMANIA!

Meanwhile Stephanie stands in the corner pondering, she is left with the task of showing everyone the tournament bracket. But before she does, she is interrupted by Brock Lesnar who storms down to the ring. By the time he gets there, all three of them have walked to the other side. And from the back runs CM Punk who begins to brawl with the Beast!!

The segment ends with Punk and Lesnar being separated by a troop of security before the tournament bracket is revealed.

--- 82 ---

Followed by the first segment, Ton’s of Funk accept the challenge made by Kings of Wrestling on last Fridays Smackdown. But this segment bombed with the crowd.

--- 39 ---

Another segment that bombed with the crowd was the opening match between Adrien Neville and Justin Gabriel. Neville picked up the win when he drop kicked Gabriel in the face following a springboarding crossbody. During the match we had The Miz sitting on a steel chair at ringside seemingly scouting Adrien Neville.

--- 44 ---

After the match saw The Miz; clapping, approaching an exhausted Adrien Neville and offered his show of support and respect with a handshake but it was not reciprocated by the English native as he shoved him out of the way with his shoulder and left the ring with a very negative response from the crowd as the booed.

--- 53 ---

In an angle that was desperately needed, Daniel Bryan was seen walking around backstage looking for Triple H, Vince or Stephanie but everyone he asked answered with no. Getting increasingly irate, he bumps into Dolph Ziggler who smiles and asks him what’s up.

Daniel Bryan: What’s Up!? What’s Up!? Do you know where Triple H?

Dolph Ziggler: No?

Daniel Bryan: Stephanie!?

Dolph Ziggler: No??

Daniel Bryan: Vi…Nevermind!!

Daniel Bryan walks off muttering yes…yes…yes...to himself.

--- 74 ---

The next match of the night is the Divas portion and in a tag match we see Alicia Fox and AJ Lee against Kaitlyn and Layla. Unsurprisingly, AJ Lee picked up the win over Layla when she was bitten on the arm by Lee causing her to become irate and Layla sprinted at her but was dropped with the sliced bread following a sickening slap to the face from Lee.

--- 65 ---

Following on after a commercial we see the camera men in the back preparing for an interview with Rob Van Dam. But just before they were about to begin filming, Van Dam was attacked from behind by Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. From behind them approaches Dean Ambrose who shouts at RVD saying he should never have cam back to the WWE that it is a different environment and that no one is watching his back. Not now not ever!

--- 62 ---

In another poor match on Raw, the Kings of Wrestling put in a poor performance and eventually lost to Tons of Funk. The finish came when Antonio Cesaro hit Brodus on the knee with a steel chair followed by one to his back from Kassius Ohno causing them to be disqualified.

--- 52 ---

The next segment saw Alberto Del Rio gloating over the success he has had within the WWE and saying how he enjoyed beating Randy Orton last week on Raw. But from behind walks Orton who challenges him to another match this time on Smackdown and Del Rio agree with a smirk on his face.

In the colossal main event we saw a draw when the match ended in absolute chaos with men running into the ring from the entrance ramp, through the ramp and everywhere in between. However Brock Lesnar was left standing in the centre of the ring when the dust finally settled. The reason for the chaos is that rumours have been rife all night over the massive title tournament and everyone wants in on the action.

Friday Night Smackdown! begins with the announcement from the McMahons and Triple H regarding the WWE Championship situation. The three of them stand in the ring but they are surrounded on the outside by security guards who are being used as a human shield to prevent a repeat of last weeks action. They announce that there will be a title tournament between 24 men and will begin this Monday and the second rounds will begin at what would have been Night of Champions and is now WWE Armageddon. It will run until WrestleMania when the winner will compete in a match for the WWE Championship in the main event. This seems to go down well with audience as they cheer when they see some of the potential matches, as shown below.

--- 72 ---

In the opening match, we saw Adrien Neville continue to garner heel heat when he picked up a DQ loss to The Miz and Cody Rhodes when he refused to release a hold using the ropes on The Miz. The high flier seemed to be getting very short tempered with the Awesome superstar. Cody Rhodes looked pleased over his victory against former tag team partner Sandow and began shouting “I’ll see you in the tourney!”

The main story of the match saw the new debut of Nevilles manager who seemed to be turning heads as she slapped on the canvas and tried to stop him from choking The Miz out. She was announced to the crowd as Ms. Valentine.

--- 64 ---

In the next segment we had the shockwaves of the title tournament rocking the locker room as we see Henry pushing and shoving his way through the back until he approaches Wade Barrett and tells him that if he gets in his way. He’ll induct him to the hall of fame, but before he moves out of camera shot in walks Santino Marella who stands and smiles in the face of Barrett saying the cobra will strike him down in a blaze-a they glory!

--- 65 ---

The next match saw Layla fight in a losing effort to AJ Lee who is seemingly beating the Divas Division with little effort and something is definitely going wrong as no one can seem to beat the Champion.

--- 69 ---

After a commercial we are taken to the interview set where The Kings of Wrestling talk about how they are the best new things to come out of the WWE Performance centre and that they will be the fastest rising team to have ever came out of NXT and that Ton’s of Funk, The Shield and everyone in between should watch there backs.

--- 51 ---

In the semi main event we saw Big Show take on Rob Van Dam and in a poor match with little time allowed, we saw Dean Ambrose enter the rinside area and walk around the ring watching Rob Van Dam who was clearly distracted and possibly expecting and interference from the Shield. However no such interference did come from them and instead RVD picked up the win in a shock win over the Worlds Largest Athlete.

--- 66 ---

After the previous match, Dean Ambrose snatched the microphone from ringside announcer Lilian Garcia and he asks RVD if he has gotten his attention yet? RVD stops in his tracks and stare a hole in the face of the United States Champion, who continues to explain why he has been attacking Mr Monday Night. He says that he has put a hit out on him to the other members of The Shield and that he did so because it is poetic justice that a star of 24 years in the limelight show know when to hang up his boots and that he will make sure he does either by walking out of the WWE or by being wheeled out of the WWE!

--- 72 ---

In the main event we had Alberto Del Rio taking on Randy Orton in a steel cage match; the match was decent but saw Randy Orton picking up yet another loss at the hands of Del Rio. However after the match we saw Randy Orton taking it out on Ricardo Rodriguez yet again, he grabbed the Mexican by the scruff of the neck and slammed him into the cage by whaling on him ferociously.

Welcome to Headlocks and Headlines and what an announcement from the WWE this past Friday, with news that a huge title tournament will begin this Monday and will have the second round matches at WWE Armageddon. However the fall out has already been seen with Mark Henry clearly not happy at the announcement, however we have been told that Adrien Neville is looking forward to his match which will be this Monday as will the following:

Adrien Neville vs. Daniel Bryan

Brock Lesnar vs. The Miz

Justin Gabriel vs. Alberto Del Rio

In other news, it has been confirmed that debutante; Ms. Valentine on this previous Friday's; Smackdown is indeed Lizzy Valentine of WSX fame. Sources close to the talent have told us that she is being utilized as a mouth piece for the silent Adrien Neville.
