Blackman
<p>We'll continue to update this as time passes. Normally we'll be able to convert the data to WMMA4 as well.</p><p> </p><p> Another small update to the data is planned soon, called 2.4D. Maybe tomorrow.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: It will mainly feature tweaks for the women (as that was my part). </p><p> *Couple of errors fixed. </p><p> *Narratives have been set to trigger at the first day of the month so people won't accidently click through them. </p><p> *Debut dates fixed to be more in line with Q-Cage debut to prevent it from stalling.</p><p> *Added some narratives, relationships, etc.</p><p> </p><p> After this one Asaemon will work on the men some more and we'll release the 2.5 update. I'm gonna say beginning of february but don't shoot me if it proves untrue. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
Blackman
I realised I'm not really going to work much further on the women's side of things. Tweaked some stats and debut dates to keep it balanced. It can still use a lot of work, but I'm waiting to see what WMMA4 will bring, so that I'm not putting work in for nothing. CVE v2.4D (not worth calling it v2.5 yet) https://www.mediafire.com/?3lb0u0aliib2evy I WILL however release an updated render pack in the distant future. Blackman
What's the deal with Lino Basora? It's said he's the youngest son of Luis and uses one of the updated renders of him, but is way too old to be a son, unless it's from a Luis senior or something. Not sure as it just says 'blood relative'. As for that render pack, it'll be ready when WMMA4 hits the digital shelves. Expect the db to be a lot more fleshed out too. Admire
<p>I take a lot of time playing a game since I simply don't have that much time, but I really love the new database. Biggest "error" seems to be too high reputation on fighters when they debut. Im not talking about fighters with high name value since that makes sense in some circumstances, like when a world class something joins the sport and is ranked very high after only but a few matches.</p><p> </p><p> But there are a few fighters with low and mid level regional name value who are ranked in the 10-15 after one or two matches. </p><p> </p><p> Other than that, the database works very well. I haven't played as one of the open weight promotions but they seems to fit in well within the game and the timing of the debuts of fighters seem well planned. </p><p> </p><p> Will attempt to make a long list of names but will take a little time because I don't have the freetime to play that much,.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for all the effort by everybody involved. You really made this game even better than it already is. Completely changes the way the game plays and gives far more incentive to play longer games.</p>
Blackman
That was also my gripe with some of the people. They are too reputed and too good so they almost take over from the normal WMMA-guys, which is a shame. I'd rather have them debut a couple of years in (except for the early-MMA brawlers). Look for a revised version when WMMA4 comes out. The problem should be fixed. Until then, feel free to change the values yourself.

It important for me to point out that this is still only a minor gripe compared to all the awesome things this mod adds to the game. It gives an awesome base, that with little edits becomes even greater. Look forward to the WMMA4 version.
Pastafarian
Personally, I merged the Expanded Universe with a mod I previously made, wheich starts in... well, you could call it That 70's WMMA Mod. I edited all (more or less... all I could notice) base game fighters to debut a month before 20 and and have looong, sprawling games. EU makes it even longer, and personally very much enjoy having more girls to play with [hem, hem]. Flip side: unhired fighters can spend years between an indy fight and another, whole locations don't even have indy fights (Russia and Central America; Adam says they respectively have bouts in Europe and S-Am, but I never saw any). Blackman
You are right, but we can't do anything about it apart from changing the 'Russian' nationalities to 'Ukrainian' or something, so they'll have indy matches in Europe. Central America does have recurring indy shows. They're called Mexican Local Shows and do appear frequently enough imo.
Pastafarian
<p>It's not nationality, it's where they are based.</p><p> </p><p> And I just made a little test: I copied my mod, modded the 60+ cans I created to fill the ranks at the start of the game and distributed them: 20 based in Russia, 20 in Central America (not Mexico, although why not just merge them as game areas is an idea Adam should consider), 16 Elsewhere. Then I fast-advanced three months.</p><p> </p><p> Results: up until 1 April there have been two American indy shows, three Japanese, two European (searching shows 19 fighters based in Europe) and one British (13).</p><p> None of my cans appeared in either of the European shows.</p><p> </p><p> Conclusions: nationality is not the factor here, it's the base. And if a fighter is based in any of the above three areas, well, they're stuck: no indy events there, no appearances in confining areas.</p>
Teh_Showtime
Was wondering if anyone had the promotion logos for this. There are a bunch that don't link up that I can't find anywhere, mostly for the future companies like SFC, but the default Alpha-1 logo is called Alpha-1 3 and it's not in there

Pastafarian
did you download the patch from march 20th before doing the test? Yessir! I usually lurk, but check these boards every 1-2 days and I'm tendentially up-to-date with these things. Blackman/team, a little slip I'd like to signal: Colombian Catalina Falla is set as based in Central America, but Colombia is one of South America's areas. (And thank you all for the work!!) Blackman
It's been changed, but I won't upload a new version because of some cosmetic changes. After all, there's still many fighters who are profile-less and are waiting for you (yes, you) to write them a short backstory. As for the Russians: only the ones based in Europe were changed, as some were assigned to compete (and therefore live in) Japan. There weren't that many I had to change. If I make any more women, I'll make them Russian so it'll trigger more local events. Hopefully WMMA4 has fixed this and has more indy shows in general. RedsRule
How many reused pictures did you use? I see a bunch of guys that have the same picture. Same with the "brothers" that have the same one. Maybe for the twins you could set one of them to regen off since their regens won't be related?
Blackman
A number have indeed been used. I'm sure Asaemon will fix it for the next version. I personally haven't encountered that much obvious doubles. Can you be more specific which doubles?
RedsRule
Now that I am farther into the game probably not. The Camacho, Maldanado & Underberg brothers all have the same picture. Walter Morgan shares one with somebody & a bunch of the lower level guys I have seen have the same picture as well, but I don't' know their names. Blackman
<p>Here's a replacement for Joanna Reikland. In my latest game she turned out quite well, and the original render's attire was a little crap. This one's slightly better. Need to play with default black background though.</p><p> </p><p> (removed)</p>
Blackman
Just a bump to keep the thread visible, and a heads-up that I'm in the process of making a submod with only the women workers, for those that hate the long loading times when playing WEFF. Though it's always nice to observe the AI, I'd rather my games are fluid. For those not interested, I will also release a pack featuring all the updated renders to import in their CVE picture folder. I'll try to release later tonight, but it might be tomorrow or next week. If there's enough interest, I'd be willing to rework the divisions to include atomweight and strawweight. Right now we just have the two regular weights and flyweight. Because the sheer number of women in the database now, it becomes viable to have 5 weights, but it requires some time to intuitively group them into weight classes (based on height and appearance). Blackman
Here's the updated render pack. Half of the fighters were updated, some replaced with (imo) more suitable renders. The other half weren't mine or I might've lost the source files: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xn4lmsflevnmewg/CVE_picture_update.zip Should be placed in 'default', or whatever folder you assigned this mod to. Overwrite the existing files. I should mention you need several of the pictures used in the CVE database, so you'll need to download that as well. Database v0.6: http://www.mediafire.com/download/9x72h1tgarcq6nn/O__v0.6.rar (includes a couple more rerenders) Features: This is the default C-verse containing the standard 165 fighters with the male fighters abstracted to help speed up the games. It's directed at those wanting to play long-lasting games an all-female promotion. If you enjoy watching the whole gameworld unfold, download CVE instead. There's 500 new fighters set to debut between 2000 and 2015 so it's advisable to turn off worker regeneration until then. Still in need of work: - Stats balancing - Filling empty profiles - Rerendering of a couple fighters Please help with this by providing feedback. I don't have much time to playtest myself. Be aware that WEFF is a little poor in this version. Up it yourself if you don't want them to go out of business.
