Okay, since when did Mafia Kicks stop being knockdown moves? Seriously, in two separate matches my character hit mafia kicks on their opponents, they SHOULD be down on the mat ready for me to pin them but instead they're standing around as if nothing terribly important had happened. <img alt=":mad:" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/mad.png.69834f23b9a8bf290d98375f56f1c794.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

This is not bad luck, or the RNG being pissy, this is something that's just plain not right.

Right, but it's still a chance regardless - that's why the 'hard to topple' attribute exists, you know? Sometimes they stumble, sometimes they actually do go down. It's working as designed, though sometimes it is a bit gah inducing when you wanted to knock someone down for a pinning attempt and they stay up.

Honestly though I wish people would stay up more often so I can kick them some more >_>

I'm starting to understand why some people think there's something hinkey with the RNG in the game though. It seems to benefit my opponents WAY more then it benefits me.

Case in point, just as I start getting some momentum in my storyline my next opponent gets every single lucky roll.

Confirmation bias. When things happen in your favour you don't notice anywhere near as much because you see it as "how it's supposed to be" (not just you, everyone in general). Even worse in WS3 as you don't tend to use the Calculation button much when things are going well for you. It's only when they go bad that you start freaking out. Thus you notice the 'bad' rolls way more than the 'good' ones, because it's mostly the 'bad' ones you normally investigate.

It's Giant ol' me and Remmy Honeyman AKA HoneycombZ vs. Advent David (easy guy; kinda burly but terrible on the ground, low health) and El Mitico Jr. (aka pretty much a better Remmy with ridiculous ground stats).

So I'm all, dude, if Mitico gets in we are ****ed. My strength is going to what, throw him off the turnbuckle until he's dead, maybe?

Fortunately it's Remmy vs. Advent David to start.

Remmy won while suffering 2% health damage and hit the Scorpion Deathlock at the first opportunity. So...yeah. We technically squashed El Mitico Jr. Sorta.

~~~
Finally jumped to Local Talent; if Lance Lott (he and I are "Air Knight Sefaru") isn't hired, then **** da polees. Or other companies >_>
I see we can do a Tables Tour next month. Okay. S&M Connection, the last guys we faced to get to Local talent. Two big lugs.
My UC HIT FIVE ARABIAN FACEBUSTERS IN A ROW. NONSTOP. Tired me the hell out, sure, but I killed that guy.
Stunning Face Crusher COW: 900
+8% for low momentum
+3% as the count was already advanced
Final chance of success: 1001 (p.s. I got a 279)
First Blood match month. First two weren't so bad; busted with like a medium move once /shrug
This one?
LIAM LUTZ WOULDN'T BLEED. No health. Hit the guard rail suplex thing twice, chair shot to head twice, knee drops, trash cans.
Y'know what did it?
Forehead bite.
Trance got me down to 72% after I had him at, maybe, 96% in a tag match.
PROCEED TO SPAM BODY SCISSORS FOR THE REST OF THE FIGHT. Sans one B2B Suplex.
Fisherman's Suplex. GG.
And then I hit back instead of save .______________________.
Edit: Looks like Round 2 will go just as well :D
Anyone else having fun in Rookie to Legend, DOTT style? My US Super Heavyweight brawler has had, count 'em, seventeen neutral storyline results at unknown level so far, all fitting the same pattern:
2 minute jobber squash
2 minute jobber squash
4 minute "hey, I know that name" match-like squash
10-minute "holy hell why is this guy still at unknown with these stats I shouldn't have lasted this long" crushing defeat.
On the plus side, a good half of my matches end with my opponent simply bleeding out (some inside of 1:30 - came within a hair's breath of a 41-second medical DQ, too). My favorite was the guy that I sent to medical DQ by tossing him out of the ring <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
This is, in fact, my favorite way to win. Regular match? Make 'em bleed. Hardcore match? Make 'em bleed. Submission match? Only way to win, my friend.
Seriously, at unknown a powerful brawler can knock an opponent to medium in about three or four hits. Follow that up with repeated "Face slam to the mat", "Face Tear", or toss to the outside for "Face Slam into Concrete Floor". I've sent more jobbers to the ER for blood loss than I ever thought of pinning.
