Okay so here's how unemployment will work:

I will apply for every job available up to Regional.

If the company hiring me is Local, I will call a vote before accepting.

If more than one company hires me, and I don't have a personal preference, I will choose the one with the highest size. If two or more are tied, I will call a vote.

The only companies in 2017 January with spots to fill are... Project NEXT and FEW.

Here we go.

Well, Project NEXT has done the only thing they could do without me: Push Ash Campbell to beat everyone. Weak booking.

After my recovery I decided to take the occasional indy booking now and then, just to keep myself in ring shape.

I'm waiting for Carl to fire Remy Honeyman and come crawling back, or maybe for Mitch Naess to bring me aboard.

I look in my email...

Hey there mate, I'm Geordie Jimmy Morris.

I'm opening a new company, High Impact Wrestling. I'm looking for a wrestler to also be my creative consultant, you know, bounce ideas off of. I don't have much talent yet, just some announcers and a young lad named Jonni Lowlife. I know it seems odd for me to want to hire a Yank who's never worked in the UK but I've seen your work and I think you're just the man I need. Plus, you can always cheap heat by acting like an obnoxious tourist, crowds love to boo that kind of guff.

Obviously you'll have to move, so I'll understand if you say no, but if you say yes I'll handle transportation and your work visa. I'll also give you the spare room in my flat, used to have a snooker table but I sold it, so it's just empty space now.

----------

Of course I sent my reply immediately, told him I was in (and also asked what the hell is snooker).

Adios America! To England I go!

(EDIT- I know I said I'd poll on Locals, but I've gotten annoyed by the many companies that snubbed me. I will, however, bypass my other "Wait a year before taking a new job" rule)

HIW Volume 1

Saturday Week 4 May 2017

Live at the Norman Blue Athletic Center, Attendence 87

1. We open with "Macho Man" by the Village People, as Tony Wright comes out with Emma Evans, revealing himself to be the owner of HIW. The Department of Media, Culture, and Sport has declared that Tony has to crown his champion in a tournament, but he warns his employees to do what's Wright for business. Or. Else.

2. For the first match, Jimmy Razor comes out wearing a New England Patriots jersey with Kathleen Lee. He cuts a promo about how better American football is than "the sport you call football, which is a GIRLS game". Instant. Nuclear. Heat.

3. In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Jimmy Razor defeated JK and Andrew Lee in 15:29; the order of elimination was JK first, and then Andrew Lee.

4. In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Ripper LeStat defeated Strife and Ultra Fly in 15:06; the order of elimination was Strife first, and then Ultra Fly.

5. Candy Cox comes out, leading her charge, Notorious FREAK, out to the ring on a leash. Cox calls FREAK her "Pet" and tells him that if he doesn't win the tournament, he won't get to "taste some Hard Candy" tonight. Whatever that means.

6. In an extremely poor match, Tony Wright defeated Notorious F.R.E.A.K. and Simon Ice in 14:47; the order of elimination was Notorious F.R.E.A.K. first, and then Simon Ice.

7. In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Jonni Lowlife defeated Grave Digger and Maxwell Bleak in 9:32; the order of elimination was Grave Digger first, and then Maxwell Bleak. Grave Digger was eliminated by TKO because the Crystal Kids attacked him outside of the ring.

8. In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Ripper LeStat defeated Jimmy Razor in 10:11 by pinfall with a Vlad's Impaler, then forced Jimmy to wear a Birmingham City jersey to the crowd's approval.

9. Tony Wright and Jonni Lowlife met in ring next, and Emma Evans slips Lowlife 200 Pounds!

10. In an extremely short match, Tony Wright defeated Jonni Lowlife in 0:03 by pinfall when Jonni laid down and Tony pinned him.

11. As Tony Wright is about to announce intermission, "Death Comes Ripping" by the Misfits plays and Ripper LeStat charges through the crowd, attacking Tony Wright! The referee rings the bell!

12. In an extremely poor match, Tony Wright defeated Ripper LeStat in 14:56 by pinfall with a Widow Maker after Emma Evans distracted the ref allowing Tony to hit Ripper over the head with a bulb of garlic! Because Ripper's a vampire, see. A heroic vampire, but a vampire all the same. Anyway, Tony Wright wins the HIW English Heavyweight title.

Grade: E

Speeches: Tony Wright told awesome, Ripper LeStat told awesome, Geordie Jimmy told awesome.

(OOC NOTE- Jimmy Razor's character's opinions on futbol do not in any way resemble the author's)

-----------

GJ and I (that's what I call him, GJ) talked about the show.

GJ thinks Andrew Lee got the best reactions of the night, and that we should be pushing him. I was lobbying for Ripper to be Tony Wright's nemesis, but he's the boss so whatevs.

Grave Digger also got over too, so my plans for him remain the same.

Overall it was a good show. Morris feels the fans didn't 'get' some of the characters, but we'll work on that in coming shows.

(OOC Note- Yeah, I'm using the SHIMMER name convention.)

HIW Volume 2

Saturday Week 4 June 2017

Live at the Norman Blue Athletic Center, Attendence 87

1. Candy Cox had an interview hyping the upcoming singles match between her client Notorious F.R.E.A.K. and Ripper LeStat, again reminding FREAK that he needs to win to "taste Hard Candy".

2. In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Ripper LeStat defeated Notorious F.R.E.A.K. in 10:20 by pinfall with a Vlad's Impaler.

3. "Macho Man" plays as Tony Wright comes out with Emma Evans, as he decrees that from now on, HIW is a "relaxed rules" promotion, meaning virtually anything goes! He also tells Jonni Lowlife that he'll be fighting for the title, and promises another "bonus" for Jonni if he does "what's Wright for business". Jonni comes out and basically tells Tony to go F himself, and the two have to be seperated as they nearly come to blows.

4. In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Strife defeated Maxwell Bleak in 11:10 by pinfall with a Corkscrew Moonsault.

5. Crystal Kids have an interview in which they taunt Grave Digger.

6. In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Grave Digger and Andrew Lee defeated Crystal Kids in 11:46 when Andrew Lee defeated Simon Ice by submission with a chokeout.

7. Razor and Kathleen Lee make their entrance, Razor punting Nerf NFL footballs into the crowd.

8. In an extremely poor match, Jimmy Razor defeated Ultra Fly in 14:59 by pinfall with a Rainbow Bridge.

9. In a bout that had a good crowd but featured terrible wrestling, Tony Wright defeated Jonni Lowlife in 14:51 by pinfall with a Widow Maker. Tony Wright makes defence number 1 of his HIW English Heavyweight title.

10. Tony Wright puts a chair around Jonni's ankle and goes to the top rope, but Andrew Lee comes out to save the day. Wright tries to retreat, but Lee catches him... AND CHOKES HIM OUT!

Grade: E+

Speeches: Wright awesome, Lowlife awesome, GJ awesome.

3. Ripper LeStat cuts a promo explaining that he was a vampire hunter who was turned into a vampire by the most infamous vampire of all of England... JACK THE RIPPER (DUN DUN DUN), and now he fights the creatures of the night AND general crime. Yeah, I was watching way too much Blade when I came up with this gimmick.

4. In an extremely poor match, Ripper LeStat defeated Jonni Lowlife in 14:58 by pinfall with a Vlad's Impaler.
