Too early for booker man to lose the belt.

 

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Dr Michael O'Haire

Well, DDD is going to challenge Devine for the belt so he better get past guy who have mainly been jobbing in dark matches so far.

 

Rhino Umaga vs Thomas Morgan

Umaga has been doing bit more so far as only thing I remember from Morgan is that he was eliminated pretty early from the Jet City Rumble.

With Cobras winning the tag belts, I figure that Malloy will drop this belt soon but while de Aske would otherwise be a solid choice he´s recent problems with his past as a pirate will come back to haunt him and cost the match.

 

Storm Spillane vs Syd Collier

Setting up a rematch for the tag belts between Cobras and Dynamite Express.

 

Matt Hocking vs Island Boy Apollo

Hocking did last longer in the Jet City Rumble and seems to be a singles wrestler while Apollo is tag guy. Thus Hocking is the favorite to win this one in my books.

I'll be honest, I was pretty down – it's hard to watch something (or someone) you spent so much time on become the opposite of what appeals to you. Alanis, as always, had the solution; ignore NEO and concentrate on EPW. Maybe in the past, I would have lost my temper, stormed off, said something I would regret...but not anymore. I saw the LOSER/NEO situation for what it was – people lacking faith in me. "I love it Darryl...won't it be too cold though?"

 

"Nah, we get rid of the ice now the team has gone. Quick refurb and we have ourselves a new wrestling arena."

 

Me and Alanis had been discussing how to grow EPW for a few months, once I'd settled back in, it was our main topic of conversation. Apart from Marcus, obviously.

 

Step one was a new home. Don's Basement had served us well, but we were selling out every show and turning away 500 - 1,000 people. We needed a bigger venue, one we could grow into.

 

Enter Rainhawk Arena, on the outskirts of the city. Named after the useless minor league hockey team who inhabited it (never more than 12 wins a season), the arena was actually a nice venue. After a decade of financial irregularities, the AAHL (All American Hockey League, a minor league so minor it only had nine teams) had kicked the Seattle Rainhawks out...leaving their modern, affordable arena as their only saleable asset to recoup losses.

 

It's never nice to see a sports team go under...but once me and Alanis heard the news, we jumped into the people carrier and shot across Seattle to the venue to check it out.

 

"I never realised estate agents worked Sundays."

 

"They do if they can make money. Seriously, Alanis, what do you think?"

"I think we should get an offer in - this place is fantastic, modern seating, great lounge...we could rent this to other people, like we did with Don's."

 

I put on my best 'Peter Michaels serious interview' voice and looked at Marcus in his pram.

 

"Marcus Devine, your thoughts at this time?

 

"Mamamamama ma ma ma!"

 

"Sounds like three yes's to me. I'll go and find Slimey Slimeball and see what they want."

 

"Just don't call the estate agent Slimey to his face."

"I won't Honey."

 

I really want to though...nah, might ruin the purchase of EPW's new home.

 

OOC - So yeah, a move to a new home for EPW. Rainhawk Arena holds 5,000 so we should be able to grow into it gradually.
