Modern Warriors 15 (Jan 2014)

Oh snap it's happening.

https://www.mediafire.com/?775rb42ofo8ya9o

This took way too long. However knowing that a new version of the game is on the horizon has reinvigorated my interest in keeping this thing up to date, and i will strive to get back to monthly releases. This update is not at the level I normally strive for but I just want to get something out. I'll clean this up as you all point out my errors. :)

The current release has 2912 active fighters and 22 active companies. I've added Titan FC and RFA. I've taken of CFC, Shark Fights, and some other closed promotions. The UFC roster is up to date and so are the fight histories. I did a major cleanup of Bellator's roster, which had a lot of fighters that hadn't fought for them in years. It's in good shape. I've also added quite a few prospects.

The next thing on the list is completing the fighter records update. Thankfully I have some volunteers helping me with this. The next major additions are as follows:

1) Cage Warriors: This is long overdue and a lot of their major fighters are already in game. I will have this added by the next release.

2) Fighter and fight history cleanup: I will be deleting a lot of obscure fight histories and retiring some older fighters to speed the game up.

3) Asia: The Asian scene is blossoming and I will fill that out further. Will probably add URCC and Rebel FC.

4) Women: Lots of room for improvement with the ladies, this will be a major project. I've already watched a lot of tape and taken notes, so this will happen fairly quickly.

5) Rankings: Rankings are not great, and reputation outside of the top 25 is a bigger mess. This is a longer term project but I hope to eventually fix this so that one fighter getting a win won't automatically launch them to top 25.

As always feedback is appreciated. Thanks to Damien and everyone else who helped with this.

And if any of you have time to put up a few mirrors of this it would be much appreciated! I have to get to bed. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I have a small suggestion, make the UFC own RFA. As it is now, RFA is basically a feeder league for the UFC, so it would make it easy to "call up" guys once they do well ala Thatch, Rhodes, Pettis, etc. </p><p>

I'm going to be doing that myself so it isn't a big deal either way.</p><p> </p><p>

Some errors I have seen:</p><p>

BJ Penn is fighting at FW in his next fight, you have him at Welterweight still. </p><p>

Brad Pickett is going to flyweight</p><p>

Brian Ebersoles record is 50-156</p><p>

Colin Hart and Chris Saunders should no longer be in the UFC</p><p>

Daniel Cormier should be at 205</p><p>

Dustin Kimura should be coming off a win</p><p>

Brian Stann, Duane Ludwig are retired. I'm missing a couple of other guys as well I believe. </p><p> </p><p>

A lot of the fighters need a ratings overhaul. </p><p> </p><p>

Great job as usual Tag.</p>

Ed Soares has implicitly said he wants to be a UFC feeder league though. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> A few more errors: Sean Soriano should be fighting at FW, he is at LHW. Ilir Latafi should be with the UFC still.</p>

<p>Thanks for the update. Glad to see that you'll be working on the Females soon. Speaking of which, you have Randa Markos listed as a Male.</p><p> </p><p>

Also noticed that Quinton Jackson and Eddie Alvarez are free agents. They should have Bellator contracts.</p><p> </p><p>

UFC and Bellator need their next event updated. UFC should be 169 and Bellator 110.</p>

<p>I was glad to see some more women added in this update. A lot of the ladies are pretty old so they retire quickly. Adding some prospects is always a good idea. Here's some you might want to check out for the next update, either as free agents, and a few with Invicta.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Rose-Namajunas-69083" rel="external nofollow">Rose Namajunas</a> - She's been signed by the UFC for the season 20 of the Ultimate Fighter if I'm not mistaken for their Straweight division expansion. She did three fights with Invicta and is only 21.</p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Kailin-Curran-62703" rel="external nofollow"></a></p><p>

Kailin Curran - She has two pro fights under her belt, but looks quite promising so far.</p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Annalisa-Bucci-65428" rel="external nofollow">Annalisa Bucci</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Elaine-Albuquerque-117641" rel="external nofollow">Elaine Albuquerqe</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Agnieszka-Niedzwiedz-118159" rel="external nofollow">Agnieszka Niedzwiedz</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Kalindra-Faria-48080" rel="external nofollow">Kalindra Faria</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Herica-Tiburcio-82170" rel="external nofollow">Herica Tiburcio</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Amber-Stautzenberger-49990" rel="external nofollow">Amber Stautzenberger</a></p><p>

<a href="http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Bec-Rawlings-84964" rel="external nofollow">Bec Hyatt nee Rawlings</a></p><p> </p><p>

Those are just some of the top of my head. Keep up the good work.</p>

I think you should add The UFC Fight Pass as a new channel so it is a little easier to book the mass amount of UFC fight cards. Also Rustem Khabilov is at WW should be at LW.Aljamain Sterling should have a UFC contract plus he is 8-0.Up for debate, but I think Renan Barao should have three title defences.I would personally give him his Interim defences. Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work.Oh forgot to ask what is up with Ivan Jorge listed as WW every where I looked on the internet he is a WW,but he is fighting Rodrigo Damm who is a FW so is he dropping that far or what.

If you go to Barao's achievements in game it will say:</p><p> </p><p> UFC Interim Bantamweight Champion - 2 defences</p><p> UFC Bantamweight Champion - 1 defence</p>

<p>I really think the #1 priority should be the rankings. If you sim out a year and go back and look through who is ranked and how they get there, it's really ugly. I don't know if that's just a function of the game or of the mod. For example, I simmed a year and saw that James Irvin was #12 in the overall rankings for light heavyweight (or whatever class he's in). He had been coming off of four straight losses and he picked up 2 wins against guys that weren't ranked. There's just way too much bouncing around.</p><p> </p><p>

With that said, the mod is excellent and really reflects the large amount of work that went in to it. I really appreciate what you have done.</p>
