The Challenge: Free Agents - Fantasy Game

I was happy to see longtime Challenge Jobber Brandon get a moment in the sun this week. Also, seeing Bananas talk smack about Jordan this week (to the camera) makes me more certain that Jordan flips all the cards to find the kill card and take him on in an elimination sometime this season (as seen in one of the previews, I thought right from the start he was probably gunning for Bananas at that point).

It sucks to see Frank go out the way he did. I would have much rather watched him lose because then maybe he would come back to reality and realize that he is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. I hate delusional people and I always love to see them taken down a peg.

Yes he has done well on both challenges he has done thus far but I do think a lot of that is thanks in part to having good partners. He is clearly not on the same level as CT, Jordan, or Zach.

It also sucks that they are still doing that "vote for the rookie crap".

I am so happy Cara Maria is doing so well thus far. First off because I have always thought she was hot (Odd hair color aside) so I like to see her on TV as much as possible but she also seems like a very cool chick. I never got why they treated her so poorly during her first few seasons.

I felt a sense of entitlement from Aneesa tonight, I mean I understand not wanting to go in but being on fifty seasons of the show does not mean you have a right not to go in. I like Aneesa and always have (Her season of the Real World was the first that I watched) but I did not like her sense of entitlement tonight.

A grand total of 0 points this week. That's...not good.

AS far as them not liking Cara at first, I think it just has to due with her not really fitting in with anyone. She was weird and out there, which you can't really tell now, but when you saw how she was when she was with Abe, it was pretty obvious. That, and she's never really been a Type-A personality person, whereas nearly everyone else that does multiple challenges is very bullheaded about everything.

Finally caught up on the last 2 episodes. Some Thoughts.

-It is nice to not see the sad Cara Maria this season; I think a lot has to do with Laurel being back who she is apparently good friends with. The last two seasons she's really shown how tough she is in the elimination rounds.

-I do not like Jordan at all. I didn't really like him since his first season on the challenge but this year he's really aggravating.

-Aneesa sucks, she has done nothing but talk about how she doesn't like Laurel and Jordan and then got uppity when Laurel tried to get her put in the elimination. Funny thing was she would have gone in if Jordan had voted with Laurel instead of voting for Latoya the first vote they had. Weird that he didn't vote with her at all.

-I find Jessica extremely attractive this season which is funny because her first season on the challenge I was completely indifferent to her.

-So want to see an Emily v Laurel showdown. I think Emily would take her down a peg, which I honestly think she needs. She's still one of my favorite female competitors but sometimes the ego is overwhelming. Not as bad as Jordan but a bit much at times.

-I thought after San Diego won the Battle of the Seasons mostly on the strength of rookie teams sticking together that the Rookies would learn a thing or two in following seasons. But still they never learn.

-Disappointed that Nia didn't really cause any havoc. Was a letdown.

Especially when she did that rap with Marlon.

But this season she looks really good, I cannot pinpoint why that is true or what she did that changed but yeah she looks good.

Ugh, I'm literally down to one player. As much as I like Cohutta, I don't see him winning much here.

I have to say I was happy to see Camila go out early. She seems to be one of those players that floats through the game due to her friendships, so to see her not being able to rely on them for once was cool.

What the heck kind of accent does Theresa have? I never noticed that it was as pronounced as it is. It sounds like a Minnesota accent or in that general area of the country.

I just looked it up and it looks like she is from Wisconsin. Though it must be rural Wisconsin as in the cities the "Minnesotan" accent doesn't exist. I should know seeing as I am from Minneapolis. That is why I both love and hate the movie Fargo. I love it because it is a great movie. I hate it because it turned a way a very small percentage of people in the state talk to the go to Minnesotan joke.

I disagree that Camila floats throughor isn't a strong competitor. Its just what always seems to happen is once someone shows they can perform in eliminations and finals, and she has, they get to slide through really.

Once people have proven themselves it takes them either performing very badly in a challenge or an alliance being against them for them tiO go into an elimination early.

Not only has she got to a final, she's won.

It goes with the vote the whole "vote the rookies in early" thing. I know some of you disagree with it, but it's 100% sound strategy. Why vote in strong players with allegiances early on when you can toss in a rookie with one or two friends and not ruffle feathers? It's why Theresa did what she did with not voting in Laurel. She didn't want to piss off a strong player, she just got snitched on.

And really, it's not just rookies. It's just inconsequential players. Dunbar and Tyrie have made very early exits before because they don't matter in the overall picture. Basically, at the beginning people are clustering with people they know in order to protect themselves, and the rookies are left on the wayside because they don't know anyone. It's sad, but it makes the most sense.

As far as Theresa goes, I dont think that it was right to just campaign for Laurel to get put into elimination only to not vote for Laurel herself and make t look like she wasbt involved ib that to protect her spot. It made her look weak and tbh she deserved to get snitched on IMO.

Challenges can get repetitive with the same people forming alliances and coasting until the finals, so anything that MTV or the players themselves do to change that is welcolmed. Camilla leaving is a good change of pace, as is Laurel and Jordab becoming the main politicians in the game this season.

Sure you run the risk of the strong person winning but if it happens then you adjust your strategy accordingly.

I often wonder how many of these people would do well on Survivor.
