USPW: Time for a change

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 2 April 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 15,755 people at WA KeyArena and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Sam Strong Has a Big Announcement

Sam Strong comes out to the stage to open the show, and says he has some big news. In order to bring new talent in, and provide enough exposure, the Championship Committee has decided to create a double elimination tournament for outside talent to gain a title shot for the USPW Television Title. The champion is still free to put the belt up against whomever he likes, with the exception of the eight workers in the tournament.

But Tyson Baine Has an Ultimatum

However, before that announcement has a chance to sink in, Tyson Baine appears on the big screen behind Sam Strong. He says Strong has one more week to respond to his demands for a match against Nicky Champion, or Champion will be out of commission for a VERY long time.

Seduction Makes a Case For an Alliance

We are taken backstage where Seduction is talking to Darryl Devine about helping Chris Caulfield. She tells Devine that Caulfield has saved both her and Devine, and Devine shouldn't be reluctant to return the favor. Devine for his part, seems to be more interested in watching matches of The Sneer Corporation to prepare for his upcoming match against a yet to be decided opponent. Seduction leaves, frustrated.

Kevin Glenn & James Hernandez vs The Chosen Ones

The first match of the night is The Chosen Ones taking on Kevin Glenn & James Hernandez. The match they put on is solid, probably based on three of the four participants (sorry Peter Valentine!), in particular Glenn. Whenever Peter is in the ring, he overpowers both his opponents, but Casey is the one who carries the match for their side. In the end, a Deep Impact puts Glenn away for the pin.

Joanne Rodriguez & Alicia Strong Try to Bury the Hatchet

Backstage, the cameras capture an argument between Joanne Rodriguez and Alicia Strong. Rodriguez is upset (to put it politely) at being left out to dry in their tag match the week before by Alicia (as she should be!). Alicia tries to explain the situation, saying that she had to go look for Nicky after seeing that horrible video. Rodriguez dismisses her excuse and says that if they're going to be successful, Alicia has to get it together and storms out.

And Grace Harper Seizes the Opportunity

Grace Harper is walking by the locker room and hears the whole argument. She walks in with the USPW Women's TItle on her shoulder and tells a distraught Alicia that she's looking for some real competition for her USPW Women's title before she goes to defend it out west later this month. And what a better way to step into that defense than by embarrassing the poster child for the USPW Women's Division. Harper tells Strong she'll see her at the PPV.

USPW Television Title

Chris Caulfield © vs Mountie Mann

The next match on the card is Chris Caulfield's defense of his USPW Television Title against Mountie Mann. Clever name for sure. Mann is completely unknown in the area, so he gets crickets when he comes out. He does a great job of playing to the crowd, but he's not much to speak of in the ring. As has been the case with these USPW Television Title matches, Caulfield ends up on top after a Danger Drop.

The Cavalry Arrives

But wait, what's this? Another Mountie comes out...OMG, that's one of the McWades. We haven't seen either in the United States since 2009! Caulfield gets hit with a huge Canadian Lariat (I guess it's Dean McWade) which allows McWade to get the upper hand. He finishes him off quickly, and throws the USPW Television Title belt on top of the lifeless Caulfield. As McWade stands over him, Mountie Mann laughs hysterically, patting McWade on the back.

"Scoop" Is Hot On the Trail

We go backstage, where a camera crew is following the investigative reporter. He's hiding around the corner from Sam Strong's office. We hear Strong talking on the phone, saying that he'll be right there, and leaves hurriedly. The cameras turn to the reporter who smiles and walks into the office. He sits at Strong's desk and begins opening files on Strong's computer. His eyes go wide, with a giant smile on his face - the scoop of a lifetime possibly in front of him.

Belle Bryden & Brooke Tyler Promo on Alicia Strong

Belle Bryden is with Brooke Tyler backstage. They both laugh at the fallout of their match last week, with Joanne Rodriguez getting in Alicia Strong's face tonight. Belle Bryden follows that up by saying that despite their differences, she wishes Alicia the best of luck at the PPV. Tyler looks at her puzzled, so Bryden explains by saying that she wishes Alicia the best of luck at the PPV so she can continue her dominance over her by taking the USPW Women's Title away from her.

Non-Title Match

The Cold Warriors © vs Freddie Datsun & Cal Sanders

The next match of the night is The Cold Warriors taking on Cal Sanders & Freddie Datsun. Did Creative put them together simply because they both wear flannel shirts? Works out nicely for the match I guess, since it didn't really matter. But maybe The Cold Warriors should be preparing a little more for Savage Fury - they seem to be taking them lightly. Natasha Snow is on commentary, and says that it doesn't matter who they put in front of her team tonight (or any night for that matter) because the result will always be what's going on in the ring right now. The match was essentially a way to showcase the power of The Cold Warriors, and have Cal Sanders sell for them as much as possible. Novak hit The Balance of Power on Sanders for the win. During the match, Savage Fury comes out to the stage to watch the match, but remain a safe distance away. After The Cold Warriors pick up the win, the two teams stare each other down.

T-Rex Promo

T-Rex is standing by backstage, with a few words for the two bikers that have been attacking him in recent weeks. But this time, T-Rex has a lead pipe in hand. He says he left that life behind when he came to USPW, but if "The Boss" has a problem with him, he knows where to find him. As for the two "punks" - they weren't even there when this all went down, and he understands they're just following orders. Well, they'll serve as cautionary tales on becoming collateral damage, according to T-Rex.

The Force vs Jumbo Jackson (w/ Shane Sneer)

The next match is a Sneer Corporation showcase for Darryl Devine's possible opponent at USPW Spring Breakout, with Jumbo Jackson taking on The Force. Jackson hasn't been around much, except hanging out behind Sneer, and The Force hasn't accomplished much of anything in the last several months. Still, the fans seem to care about the match. The action being good probably helps, with The Force contributing to that by playing to the crowd expertly. While the match is even, Jumbo Jackson comes out with the win after a Jumbo Avalanche.

Enygma & Andre Jones Argue

True to his word, Enygma is in the ring as we come back from commercials. He says all he's heard Andre Jones do is complain about not being given an opportunity, about being held down. And for all intents an purposes, when he has been given a chance to shine against top level competition, he's fallen short. So maybe it's not that he has been held down, but maybe he hasn't been able to take advantage of the opportunities that have been given to him. With that, Andre Jones's music hits and he comes out to the stage. He says that Enygma is off base on those accusations. He made his own way to the USPW Television Title because he would never have been granted that opportunity. He said he held the Television Title and took on all comers, and would likely have the belt now if not for the fact that Freddie Datsun stuck his nose in his business. And that's where Enygma comes in - when Jones was going to teach Datsun a lesson, Enygma decides to interfere. So now, Andre Jones has turned his focus to Enygma. And with a victory at USPW Spring Breakout, even the most biased members of the Championship Committee will see that Andre Jones deserves a title shot.

Another Cryptic Message

As the announcers discuss the merits of Jones's argument, a graphic flashes on the screen:

"ARE YOU READY?"

The announcers continue to speculate that this is what Strong must want to keep a secret, and keep guessing as to who it might be referring to. All three members of the announce team agree that the videos are too short and cryptic to get a good read on who they might be referring to.

James Justice vs Steven Parker

The main event of the evening is James Justice taking on PSW's Steven Parker. While neither seemed to be having an off night, the crowd was still abuzz about the the yet to debut wrestler, because the match seemed to suffer from a lack of crowd involvement. The match seemed to be there to test the waters on how to introduce new talent to fans, and in this case more specifically, give Justice a win. A Liberation Slam put Parker away.

* * *

News & Notes

*USPW All Star Wrestling received a 7.00 TV Rating. This is down from last week's 7.30.

*Valentine's poor attitude

Apparently Peter Valentine hasn't taken kindly to the fact that he's not the focus of the company's storylines, as his attitude has taken a turn for the worse. Management has promised him a reward of sorts after he agreed to drop the USPW National Title to Darryl Devine at last month's PPV. From all the reports we've gotten, they haven't noticed an appreciable decline in the quality of his matches (our question would be - how can they tell?!?), so he might be around for some time to come...if his poor attitude doesn't cause them to not renew his contract.

*Parker gone from USPW

As far as we can tell, Steven Parker's match against James Justice marked the end of his stay in USPW - for now. The two sides parted ways amicably. He was even told that they will certainly consider him when a spot opens up. It's a surprise that they decided not to include him in the field of 8 for the USPW Television Title #1 Contender. I can understand it, however, since he had a match against Caulfield for the title during his stay. It also says that when they do bring him in down the line, they must have some big plans for him.

*New Talent Initiative

As for the Tournament, it will consist of 14 to 15 matches (depending on whether one wrestler wins all his matches or not) with one match per week. While some in the company feel this is entirely too long, the argument that ultimately won out was that if they were going to invest in outside talent and truly give them a chance to shine, they would have to give the fans a reason to care. The timing seems to coincide with USPW renegotiating their TV deals, hoping to land a B-Show (to get rid of the studio recap show American Wrestling has become). It is rumored that the USPW Television Title would become the main title on the second show. The field of 8 will be announced next week, with the first match taking place during the USPW Spring Breakout PPV.

*Know Your Enemy: 1 win leads the Prediction Contest

Freddie Datsun vs Mick Muscles

Comment: Muscles is due to take this one from Datsun, who recently is teaming with Cal Sanders and getting jobbed out -- honestly, the two are about equal at this time in the game

Kevin Glenn vs Andre Jones

Comment: Jones is far more over... and Glenn is pretty low on the card at this point.

Non-Title Match

Darryl Devine © vs Charlie Thatcher

Comment: Devine is far more over here.

Savage Fury vs The Chosen Ones

Comment: With the recent problems with Valentine(s), I wouldn't expect them to go over Fury, especially if Java isn't on time decline as he's a solid worker.

Alicia Strong & Joanne Rodriguez vs Cherry Bomb & Gorgon

Comment: Strong and Rodriguez are far more over. Bomb and Gorgon's tag team is actually only at 1 experience, so big things shouldn't be expected.

Enygma & James Justice vs Danny Rushmore & Jumbo Jackson

Comment: Enygma & Justice take this round, two are far, far more over.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 3 April 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 12,221 people at PR Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

The Championship Committee Gives In

Sam Strong comes out to the stage with a grim look on his face. He says that Tyson Baine's threats against Nicky Champion really struck a chord with some members of the USPW Championship Committee. A vote was held last week, and after a long deliberation...The Committee has granted Tyson Baine a USPW World Title shot this Sunday at the USPW Spring Breakout PPV. He says he hopes The Committee made the right decision in awarding Baine the title shot.

Tyson Baine appears on the screen above Strong, and says that he will uphold his end of the bargain and release Nicky Champion...at the PPV. He tells Strong, and the fans, that they better get used to seeing him. Because once he makes an example out of Nicky Champion on Sunday, no one will dare challenge him.

Freddie Datsun vs Mick Muscles

The first match of the evening was a "Sneer Corporation Showcase" to keep Devine in suspense as to who his opponent would be this Sunday, with Mick Muscles taking on Freddie Datsun. The match was really pedestrian. Muscles can hold his own in the ring, and Datsun, despite his age, is still a solid hand. The outcome was never really in question, with Freddie Datsun falling victim to the Bulldozer Powerbomb.

Chris Caulfield is Ambushed

As the announcers talk about the previous match (for the record, Jillefski and McQueen agreed that Devine could be in some serious trouble this Sunday, especially if the mystery opponent is Mick Muscles), Mountie Mann comes to the ring and grabs a microphone. He says last week, Chris Caulfield got lucky in his title defense against him. But next time they meet, Caulfield won't be so lucky. This brings out Chris Caulfield, shaking his head in disbelief. He says he beat Mountie fair and square in the middle of the ring(he did). But he remembers Mountie bringing in one of his goons to attack him after the match was over. And since he knows Mountie will be easy to find (always running his mouth), Caulfield says he'd like to get a shot at The Mountie's goon.

No sooner does he say this when he's attacked by not one, but two Mounties. It looks like it's the McWade Brothers! Once again, a Canadian Lariat from Dean knocks him down, making him easy pickings for the experienced tag team. Dallas McWade finishes him off with a Murder on The Mountain (Over Shoulder Backbreaker Drop). Mountie Mann exits the ring and joins The McWade Brothers at the top of the stage, standing tall over Chris Caulfield.

Kevin Glenn vs Andre Jones

The second match orf the night is Andre Jones taking on Kevin Glenn. Management can't be too pleased, with how the match turned out - arguably one of the worst matches Andre Jones has had this year. It does give Glenn some ring time, but they'll need to develop his character. Jones, for his part, did a good job of playing to the crowd, as he was in control most of the match. A Blast From The Past later, and Glenn was down for the three count.

Darryl Devine vs Charlie Thatcher

Coming back from commercials, Charlie Thatcher is already in the ring as Darryl Devine makes his way to the ring for the match. Conspicuous by her absence is Seduction. I really wish USPW would get more big guys - poor Charlie Thatcher is like the Sneer Corporation's fall guy...and he's not even in the Sneer Corporation! Devine continues to impress in his matches as well. Thatcher uses his size to keep Devine grounded, until Devine moves out of the way in the corner, beginning his comeback. Darryl Devine picks up the win after a Devine Dream Drop.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Bracket Revealed

Hey look, they gave Brock Cornish something to do aside from playing peacemaker at the announce table! He's here to give the bracket for the USPW Television Title #1 Contender. I am looking forward to this. None of the workers have a long term contract with USPW at the moment, but that will likely change with how they each fare in the tournament. Here's a copy of the bracket:

T-Rex is Out Cold

Jillefski & McQueen talk about what a great tournament awaits to determine the #1 Contender for the Television Title, when Jillefski gets word of a disturbance backstage. When the cameras go back, we see T-Rex being helped up by members of the staff. He was apparently knocked out by a sneak attack. As he tries to shake off the cobwebs, he tells them he didn't see who attacked him.

Savage Fury vs The Chosen Ones

The next match is Savage Fury's tune up for their USPW Tag Team Title this Sunday. Tonight, they take on The Chosen Ones. These two teams are no strangers to each other, as they took part in the 6 man "Loser Leaves Town" match back in February, as well as Peter Valentine defeating Java for the USPW National Title back in January. The match itself was solid, but my dislike for Peter Valentine runs so deep I can't really give him credit for it. As Java was looking to hit his finisher, The Cold Warriors (guided by Natasha Snow) storm the ring, and go after Savage Fury. The referee quickly calls for the bell, as the two teams brawl.

New Addition to the Women's Division

A graphic pops up on the big screen, hyping the arrival of Amber Allen to USPW. Jillefski says he'll have an exclusive interview with Amber Allen next Monday on USPW All Star Wrestling, where she will break her silence on her release.

Enygma is Being Watched

Enygma is walking backstage when he stops, almost as if he feels someone watching him. He looks around, but doesn't see anyone, so he continues walking. Moments after Enygma is out of the shot, a shadowy figure emerges from behind some boxes, having been there the whole time.

Another Cryptic Message

Coming back from break, the announcers go over what's happened so far, and what's yet to come tonight...when the big screen comes to life with another cryptic message:

"THE HUNT BEGINS!"

Breaking News!

"Scoop" Cage comes out with a big grin on his face. He says he has some breaking news for USPW fans...something that will have them buzzing for weeks to come. And it all has to do with this:

He points to the video screen, which shows a short clip from a few weeks ago, where a concerned Sam Strong said "no one can find out about this" and "this can't be leaked." Cage wonders what could possibly be so important, and potentially damaging, that the esteemed owner of USPW wants to keep a secret? Well, a little investigating came up with a few facts.

As he's about to list them, his microphone goes dead and Sam Strong comes out, flanked by police officers. He orders them to take Cage away. I can only assume it's the breaking and entering/theft from his office last week. As he's being led away, Cage promises that the truth will come out soon enough.

The announcers talk about what this could be about, with Jillefski still believing it's about the cryptic hype videos. McQueen, however, has other thoughts - she says that if it was the hype video, Cage could have just come out and revealed who it was. But for Strong to be so opposed to this, it has to be something bigger. She says she can't wait for it to come out.

Alicia Strong & Joanne Rodriguez vs Cherry Bomb & Gorgon

The semi-main event is the Women's Tag Match between the teams of Alicia Strong & Joanne Rodriguez versus Cherry Bomb & Gorgon. The match served to reinforce the tension between Alicia and Joanne, with reluctant tags and saves in the beginning (from Rodriguez). Towards the end of the match, however, Rodriguez seemed to put her differences with Alicia aside, helping to secure a victory by fending off Cherry Bomb when she tried to break up the pin attempt.

D.O.A. Have Arrived

After the match, the cameras take us to a remote location, decorated like a motorcycle club. There's lots of bikers around, but most seem to be huddled in the center of the room. As the cameras approach, the crowd parts and it's the two bikers who jumped T-Rex, and standing between them appears to be the leader of the group. (Talk about a blast from the past...that's Rory McCallum!)

He introduces the two hechmen as Bone (Knuckles) and Skull (Shady K), and claims responsibility for the attack on T-Rex tonight. He says they are part of The Disciples of Anarchy (I'm guessing he's Anarchy), a group T-Rex was a part of in the past, but decided to leave. Well, it's not that easy, he says. You can't just come and go as you please, and IF you leave, you can't be wearing the colors. That's why T-Rex was targeted after March Madness. He says T-Rex talks a big game, but there's strength in numbers. The two of them have some unfinished business to take care of, and T-Rex is going to wish he never parted ways with the group.

Enygma & James Justice vs Danny Rushmore & Jumbo Jackson

The main event of the night is another match in the long running Sneer Corporation vs faces of USPW "feud," this time with James Justice & Enygma taking on Jumbo Jackson & Danny Rushmore. Will we ever see a conclusion to this? Both teams were evenly matched, but Enygma seemed distracted at times. The other purpose of the match was to showcase Danny Rushmore as a possible opponent to Darryl Devine (having already seen the other members in action). Rushmore held up his end in the match, going toe to toe with both Justice and Enygma, but Jackson was the one doing the bulk of the work for the team. Jackson hit the Jumbo Avalanche on Justice as Rushmore brawled with Enygma on the outside to get the win.

News & Notes

*USPW All Star Wrestling received a 6.15 TV Rating. This is down from last week's 7.00. That is a steep drop - not a good sign heading into the Pay Per View. The fact that Nicky Champion has been absent the last couple of weeks has probably contributed greatly.

*Lackluster show

The show lacked flow, and it was probably not the best idea to have the go home show in a region they haven't visited since last year. Also, the show might have benefitted from having some FCW talent on to get the crowd going. It was an odd choice to not at least have James Hernandez on the card in some capacity.

*Big Debuts on the Horizon

Amber Allen, released from NOTBPW while injured, won't be cleared to wrestle for at least a month. It will be interesting to see how she's treated during this time off, especially since it will likely be a lot of talking and not much in the way of action. Hopefully they can keep the interest up. The cryptic vignettes supposedly refer to a big name from SWF that has jumped ship. There were several workers whose contracts have come due or have been released from SWF in recent weeks, so it's anybody's guess. With the influx of talent (the big debuts, as well as the workers coming in for the Television Title #1 Contender Tournament), expect some workers from GCW:TX to be recalled to the main roster. The most likely candidates are Atlas and Dusty Ducont, both of whom have improved greatly. It's also possible that once some of the workers are out of the tournament, they might be invited down to GCW:TX if a storyline isn't in the works for them at the moment.

*The Bracket

The 8 wrestlers in the tournament are Marc Speed (CZCW), Matt Hocking (recently released from FCW), Elliot Thomas (recently released from TCW), Hector Galindo (recently released from FCW), American Patriot (Bulldozer Brandon Smith from NYCW), Kirk Jameson (FCW), California Love Machine (CZCW) and Cameron Vessey (MAW). The Latino Kings had recently broken up, and Galindo was seen as the weak link in the group. Hocking had also underperformed. There's some interesting storyline possibilities with some of these workers (both among themselves and with the current USPW roster). Who is the odds on favorite? Who's the dark horse to take the tournament?

*What's the Scoop?

As has been hinted during the shows, Sam Strong's big secret is NOT this SWF star's debut but something bigger. With Strong getting up there in age, this is being seen as the possible precursor to his retirement and eventual passing the reins to someone else - Alicia Strong has emerged as a candidate. Whether that person will act as an Authority Figure on screen or not remains to be seen. The one problem those in Creative are having is that Strong has not yet announced his retirement, but the fact that Alicia has gotten more involved in the creative direction of the company seems to point to the end being near.

*Know Your Enemy leads the prediction contest with 2 wins and 1 Bonus Point.

USPW Spring Breakout 2013 (Sunday Week 3 April 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/PPV%20Events/SpringBreakoutPPV.png

These are the results from USPW Spring Breakout 2013, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 21,000 people at MI Joe Louis Arena an is live on Pay-Per-View.

Sam Strong Opens the Show

The show begins with Sam Strong coming out to the stage. He welcomes the fans to USPW Spring Breakout and promises a great show. He runs down the card, mentioning the title matches (4 in all!), but in order for the World Title match to take place, Tyson Baine has to first release Nicky Champion. As Strong continues to speak, Tyson Baine appears on the Tron. He says that as promised, he's releasing Nicky Champion. There's a video of a white van pulling into the parking garage at the arena. The door opens and Nicky Champion, with a black hood over his face is pushed out. He appears to be well physically, but somewhat disoriented. As the backstage staff take off the hood, Champion tries to cover up, apparently bothered by the lights. Baine laughs on the screen, wishing Champion luck.

USPW National Title

Darryl Devine © (w/ Seduction) vs ??? (Sneer Corporation Member)

As the announcers discuss the condition of Nicky Champion, Darryl Devine makes his way to the ring for the first title defense of his USPW National Title. As he waits in the ring to find out who his opponent is going to be, The Sneer Corporation's music hits. Sneer comes out alone and reminds Devine he said he could beat anyone...well, this member of the Sneer Corporation is hungry for some singles gold. He points to the entrance at the top of the stage and Danny Rushmore comes out!

USPW National Title

Darryl Devine © (w/ Seduction) vs Danny Rushmore (w/ Shane Sneer)

Darryl Devine continues to impress in his matches, having a very good match with a Danny Rushmore clearly in time decline. As would be expected, Rushmore used his size to control various stretches of the match, with Devine's quickness coming into play when starting his comeback. In fact, Rushmore went for the Atomic Boot and Devine moved, which left Rushmore with one leg over the top rope. As he recovered, Devine was ready and connected with the Devine Dream Drop for the pin. Darryl Devine makes defense number 1 of his USPW National Title.

Enygma vs Andre Jones

Andre Jones is backstage, cutting a promo. He says tonight his rise to the top of the card will be cemented when he beats the masked man for a second time. He's defeated USPW World Champions already, even making an example of one a month ago. And after he beats Enygma for a second time in as many matches, he will have a chance to take on the current USPW World Champion.

Once the match starts, it does not disappoint but I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect a little more out of these two, especially with how their match on TV turned out last month. Regardless, it is a very even match, showcasing each wrestler's strengths. Jones is his arrogant self, taunting Enygma and then playing to the crowd at the slightest advantage. It is during one of the times that he is playing to the crowd that Enygma seems to have enough and when Jones turns around, he comes face to face with a very upset Enygma! They trade blows, and Enygma eventually blocks a few from Jones, and knocks him down. Jones looks to make a comeback himself, but Enygma holds on to the ropes when Jones attempts a Blast From The Past, which sends Jones crashing to the mat. This is the opening Enygma needs to lock in the Enygma Variation. To his credit, Andre Jones holds out for what seems like an eternity before tapping out. A disappointed Jones leaves the ring and limps his way to the back.

As Enygma celebrates in the ring, the lights dim and light show begins. Soon after, a red fog appears around the ring. An evil laugh is heard over the speakers, followed by Enygma's voice saying "You think you're the only one who can play mind games?" A confused Enygma looks on, as the lights come back on.

Sam Strong is walking backstage when he's approached by Roger Cage. Strong is taken aback by Cage accosting him, as Cage repeatedly tells him that he just has a few questions for Strong, he wants to get his side of the story. Strong immediately calls for security and tells them to escort Roger Cage out of the building. A worried Strong knows he won't be able to keep the lid on this much longer, but he adjusts his tie as he gets on his phone. He tells the person on the other line that they "need to figure something out, and fast" as he walks into his office and slams the door.

USPW World Tag Team Title

Savage Fury vs The Cold Warriors © (w/ Natasha Snow)

We are taken backstage where Savage Fury say they are ready for their match tonight against The Cold Warriors. Java says that The Cold Warriors are dangerous, but they have yet to face competition as fierce as the two toughest men in wrestling. With that, they make their way to the ring.

With their opponents in the ring, we are shown a promo by Natasha Snow for her team The Cold Warriors. She says that with her at the helm, The Cold Warriors will not only defeat Savage Fury, but anyone else who gets in their way. And while Savage Fury may be big and tough, but so are The Cold Warriors. And after tonight, the most decorated team in USPW history will be nothing more than a footnote in the title reign of The Cold Warriors.

As expected, the match is very even (and with very little selling). The two teams give each other everything they have, with neither team budging. Natasha Snow does her best to interfere on behalf of her team, but her charm is ineffective against the Samoans. In fact, it was one of her distractions that leads to the finish. As the referee admonishes Snow and tells her to get off the apron, Java hits the Greetings From The Island on Karloff. As the referee begins to count, he doesn't notice Karloff moves his foot under the rope. Savage Fury win the titles with a finish marred by controversy!

The Chosen Ones Promo

We are shown The Chosen Ones who are watching the match in their locker room. Casey tells Peter that they technically didn't lose to Savage Fury last week (The Cold Warriors interfered), so there's no reason why they shouldn't get a title shot against them now. But before they request the title shot, they have to take care of a few things to make sure they capture the belts. Before Casey tells Peter his plans, he kicks the cameraman out of the locker room.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

Matt Hocking vs Marc Speed

We are shown a previously taped segment which introduces the first two participants in the USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament to the fans. Up first in the video is Matt Hocking, playing a Surfer Dude character. He's very laid back, saying how awesome it was to have Sam Strong call him up when he was just chilling back on the island. Wrestle for a shot at USPW gold? Totally!

The next piece is on Marc Speed. He's all business - diametrically opposite to Hocking. He says he heard about Chris Caulfield giving title shots to people outside USPW. Did he get a call? Of course not. Because Caulfield didn't want to make the choice between "TAP, NAP, OR SNAP!" But it doesn't matter. Because once he earns this title shot, Caulfield will have nowhere to hide.

He's Here!

Before the two participants are able to begin the match, a dog is heard barking. Could it be? Oh my God! "The Alpha Dog" Remo Richardson is in USPW! The rumors were true. He stands on the stage smiling, taking in the crowd's adulation before making his way to the ring. He gets in, and Speed is not backing down, and goes straight after him. Remo fights him off, and does the same with Hocking. The two participants in the tournament think better of going back in, and Remo is left alone inside the ring. He says USPW is the land of giants, but they've never seen anyone quite like him before. So if anyone wants a shot at him, he's ready. As he flexes in the ring, Jillefski is beside himself at the magnitude of the signing. McQueen for her part says that if she was still managing, she knows exactly who she would build her stable around.

USPW Women's Title

Alicia Strong vs Grace Harper ©

They send it to the back where Grace Harper is giving a promo. She says that tonight she faces Alicia Strong in a title defense. She says that she was never given a second look when USPW launched the Women's Division. And as much as people like to make of Alicia Strong, who's been handed everything in life, Grace Harper has earned everything. And whenever she's gotten farther than those in charge wanted her to, they make sure to not give her another opportunity. Well, that changes tonight. Because after she takes the USPW Women's Title out west for a few defenses, the Championship Committee will have no choice but to bring her back if they want to get their title back.

The match turns out to be a great one between the two women - it could have been the semi main event. Harper did a good job of playing to the crowd and taunting Alicia. Meanwhile, Alicia spends a good portion of the match making Harper look like a credible champion before beginning her comeback. As Harper looks to cheat to regain the advantage, Melody makes her way to ringside. With Harper jawing back and forth with Melody, she doesn't see Alicia is on her feet again. As she turns around, she walks straight into a Strong Arm Tactic that gives Alicia Strong the victory and the USPW Women's Title. Harper is in the middle of the ring seething!

We are taken backstage where Belle Bryden and Brooke Tyler cut a promo. Bryden says that what they just witnessed was terrific. Not just a great match, but with Alicia now the Women's champion, she'll have no choice but to face her once again. And just like before, whether it's been in singles or tag competition, Belle Bryden will come out on top.

And speaking of women who will be gunning for that USPW Women's Title, Amber Allen is shown in the crowd. The new addition to the roster is all smiles for the camera. Danny Jillefski reminds us to tune in to USPW All Star Wrestling tomorrow night, where he'll have an exclusive interview with Amber Allen.

A Devine Celebration Interrupted

We are taken to Darryl Devine's locker room, where he's celebrating his USPW National Title defense as if he had just won the World Title. Seduction is with him, but far less celebratory. She interrupts Devine and tells him she's worried about Chris Caulfield - especially after the attack by The Mounties and with no one going out to help. She says that as of yet, he doesn't have a partner for his match tomorrow night, and was hoping Devine would step up to the plate. Devine is annoyed, and tells her if she quits nagging him, he'll be Caulfield's partner. Seduction's mood changes, and Devine goes back to celebrating.

James Justice & T-Rex vs Jumbo Jackson & Mick Muscles

The semi-main event is James Justice & T-Rex taking on Jumbo Jackson & Mick Muscles. The match was really good (top 3 tonight), and it was to be expected given the competitors. Justice and T-Rex control the action early on, but the Sneer stablemates soon regain the advantage, cutting the ring in half. T-Rex seems preoccupied, always looking over his shoulder, and Justice is unable to get him to focus on the match. This leads to their undoing, with Mick Muscles hitting a devastating Bulldozer Powerbomb on T-Rex for the pin.

After the match Anarchy and his disciples come out to the entranceway. He says that even if they don't interfere, they've already gotten into T-Rex's head. Anarchy also says that if T-Rex had remained as one of his disciples, he'd be on the winning track. But it's too late for that. He says that they will do USPW a favor, and erase T-Rex from the roster. And if anyone decides to come to his aid, they will suffer the same fate. This seemed to be directed at James Justice, and I guess really anyone else in the back.

USPW World Title

Nicky Champion © vs Tyson Baine

As the announcers talk about the threat the Disciples of Anarchy just made, they show a hype video about the upcoming main event. During the video they show clips of the fireball attack on the Christmas episode, The subsequent matches between Nicky Champion & Tyson Baine, Bruce The Giant's KO punch on Nicky Champion, Champion's subsequent war against The Sneer Corporation and Bruce The Giant, and Tyson Baine dragging NIcky Champion under the ring at USPW March Madness. There's a few clips of Baine's threats to Sam Strong that landed him the title match tonight. The video ends with the clip of Nicky Champion inside Baine's Dungeon as he rips the security camera out of the wall.

Baine comes out first, methodically with an air of confidence about him. As he waits in the ring, Champion's music hits, but rather than coming out with his usual excitement, he stumbles out, still trying to get used to the bright lights. This looks like it will be a lopsided match if it continues this way. The beginning of the match is Nicky Champion lunging at Tyson Baine a few times, not connecting on anything, with Tyson Baine simply laughing at him, toying with him. Eventually, when Nicky Champion does connect, Baine really wakes up. Champion seems to be fighting on instinct, something that Baine didn't expect. He's putting up a tremendous fight, until Baine stops with the games and goes on the offensive. A test of strength brings Nicky Champion to his knees, and Baine kicks him while he's down. After almost 17 minutes, Baine mercifully puts Champion down with a Hades Bomb. But rather than go for the cover, he picks Champion up and hits a second Hades Bomb on him. The pin is a foregone conclusion at this point. With the title raised high, Baine leaves the ring.

As the roster (well, the faces at least) come out to check on Nicky Champion, Running Wolf (who came out last) is the one who picks him up and carries him backstage to the protests of Sam Strong and the medical staff. As the announcers put over Baine's impressive victory and try to figure out what they just saw when Running Wolf came out, they say they are out of time and remind us about USPW All Star Wrestling tomorrow night!

News & Notes

*Much to the surprise of those in charge, USPW Spring Breakout received a 1.45 buy rate (up from last month's 1.26). There were fears that with the declining TV ratings leading up to the show that the buy rate would suffer.

*Marc Speed was reportedly furious at the way the Remo debut was booked (primarily that it bumped the Television Title #1 Contender Tournament match off the PPV) and it took some calming down by some of the bigger names on the roster. I would probably take his side, but according to our sources this was done due to scheduling issues. What this refers to is anybody's guess at this point.

*Although sooner than they had originally planned, expect Atlas to make his return to the main roster under the name "Big Dog" John Nash.

*It is not known whether Tyson Baine's World Title reign is something long term or simply transitional. At first glance, the two biggest matches they could have lined up for him are James Justice (who needs some rebuilding) and Enygma (who seems to have other things on his plate). While T-Rex could be a possible match, those in charge are not too keen on that feud.

*Know Your Enemy has 2 Wins and 1 Bonus Point currently putting him in the lead in the Prediction Contest.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

Matt Hocking vs Marc Speed

Comment: Speed has a better push

Cal Sanders vs Andre Jones

Comment: Squash match for Jones

Chris Caulfield & Darryl Devine (w/ Seduction) vs The McWade Brothers (w/ Mountie Mann)

Comment: The Left side is far more over here, and The McWades probably aren't very over in the US. Plus, the "canadian" gimmick usually doesn't equal many wins.

James Justice vs Peter Valentine

Comment: Justice gets the victory here,

Enygma vs Mick Muscles (w/ Shane Sneer)

Comment: This will probably be the best match on the card... I think Enygma gets the dub here to build on last week's victory.

Bonus Question: Who answers Remo's challenge?

T-Rex storyline wise makes the most sense -- though he'll drag down the match

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 4 April 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 15,457 people at MA TD Garden and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Nicky Champion's Funeral

We open the broadcast with new USPW World champion Tyson Baine stading in the ring. A black carpet is covering the ring and Baine is standing next to a large poster of Nicky Champion. He says last night, he annihilated Nicky Champion. He also tells fans he's brought a picture for fans to remember Nicky Champion by because there's not much left of him. He also warns anyone who is dumb enough to come after him that what he did to Nicky Champion is only a fraction of what he's capable of doing. As Baine brings his arms down and there's a small explosion at each corner, a small cloud of smoke comes out of the Nicky Champion poster behind Baine's back, and disappears into thin air.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

Matt Hocking vs Marc Speed

The first match of the night is the match that never took place last night, between Matt Hocking and Marc Speed. The action is actually really good, but the match suffers from the fans not knowing who the two workersare. USPW management are banking on increased television exposure for the competitors in the tournament to ultimately tip the scales as the tournament progresses. As for tonight, Speed displays some great psychology in the match, focusing on Hocking's arm from the start. He made a statement tonight, locking in the Cross Armbreaker for the submission victory. Speed moves on to the second round of the tournament, while Matt Hocking falls into the Loser's Bracket. The announcers put over Speed's submission work as we go to break.

No Shortage of Contenders

We are taken backstage to the USPW Women's Champion's locker room, where we find Alicia Strong talking with Joanne Rodriguez. There still seems to be some tension between the two (it was Melody who helped Alicia last night, not Joanne Rodriguez). As they discuss what happened last night, Melody walks in to congratulate Alicia on her win. Melody says she was the one who lost the title to begin with, she would have been wracked with guilt if Grace Harper had defended the title outside USPW.

They are soon joined by Belle Bryden & Brooke Tyler who thank Melody for helping Alicia win the belt last night. Bryden says that now, her goal of winning the USPW Women's Title will be that much easier, not having to chase Grace Harper around the country.

Cal Sanders vs Andre Jones

Looking to get back to his winning ways, Andre Jones takes on Cal Sanders. Jones is all business tonight, not playing to the crowd as much as he did against Enygma. I guess he expects to be doing this against Cal Sanders (as he should), so the fact that he dominates him from bell to bell is not surprising. Before we reach the 6 minute mark, Andre Jones hits The Blast From The Past for the victory.

The Birth of The First Nation

We are shown a Native American ritual ground with Nicky Champion laying on an altar. I thought he was the sacrificial lamb last night - talk about a rough month for Champion! We then see a concerned Running Wolf standing behind a Native American chief who is performing a ceremony. As the ritual progresses, we see a small cloud of smoke (the same one we saw earlier?) except this time it descends into the body of Nicky Champion!

Champion rises gasping for air. Once he regains his senses he looks into the camera (I like the war paint) and says that over time he had lost his true identity, but he's now back to his roots. And together with Running Wolf, they are now The First Nation.

Roger "Scoop" Cage Denied Again

We see a pre-taped segment from when the doors opened for the show. Roger Cage, having been banned from the arena decides to buy a ticket to the event. Strong is in the lobby greeting fans and notices Cage in line. Strong signals something to the ticket taker and when he scans Cage's ticket, it denies him entry! Cage is turned away as Strong breathes a sigh of relief.

Chris Caulfield & Darryl Devine (w/ Seduction) vs The McWade Brothers (w/ Mountie Mann)

The next match pits the two midcard champions (well they hold the midcard belts, but they are in the upper reaches of the card), Chris Caulfield & Darryl Devine (with Seduction) against The McWade Brothers with Mountie Mann. The McWades' experience together really shines through in this match. And with a manager who is willing to get involved for his clients by their side, they will be a force to be reckoned with. It is actually The Mountie who sets up the victory for his clients by harassing Seduction outside the ring. This causes Caulfield to jump off the apron to help the damsel in distress. Not to say that Devine doesn't care about Seduction's well being, but he argues with Caulfield to focus on the match and not Seduction. He also adds that if Seduction doesn't want to be in harm's way, she can stay in the back. It is this argument that Dean McWade uses as an opening to blast Devine with a Canadian Lariat to get the pin. After the match, a heated argument breaks out between Devine and Caulfield, punctuated by Devine hitting Caulfield with a cheapshot followed by a Devine Dream Drop. Interesting to note here is that Seduction goes to check on Caulfield's condition, and refuses to leave with Devine! Devine is furious, but goes to the back by himself.

The Cold Warriors Get the Belts Back

We knew it wouldn't be long to hear from Natasha Snow and The Cold Warriors would protest the decision in their match against Savage Fury. With Snow standing in the ring with her team, she is quick to call out Sam Strong. She argues (convincingly, with video evidence) that Karloff's foot was under the rope. Strong says that after watching the replay of the match, it became clear that the referee should have never counted three. Snow is ecstatic, as she requests the belts back. Strong hesitates, before calling out Savage Fury. He says that the Championship Committee conferred today on the matter and they came to the conclusion there's no telling whether Savage Fury would have ultimately gotten the victory had the match continued. It is also not clear that The Cold Warriors would have retained. So, at USPW Beach Blast, The Cold Warriors will once again face Savage Fury for the USPW World Tag Team Titles and there must be a winner. Savage Fury come out, silent and not pleased, but eventually hand the belts over.

T-Rex Needs to Find a Running Mate

T-Rex is in the ring where he's cutting a promo. He says The Disciples of Anarchy have been formidable so far, but always in numbers, and always by way of sneak attacks. He says he is challenging The Disciples of Anarchy to a match at USPW Beach Blast. But to prevent the DOA from attacking his partner, T-Rex says he won't reveal who his partner is going to be until the PPV!

The Tron shows the image of Anarchy inside the motorcycle club - once again surrounded by other bikers. He laughs off the challenge by T-Rex, saying the beatings he's taken must have messed with his head. (In reality, I think he was laughing it off because he was upset at not knowing who T-Rex's partner is going to be so they don't know who to target). Anarchy says it doesn't matter who T-Rex finds, he promises that his Disciples will teach T-Rex a lesson.

James Justice vs Peter Valentine

The semi main event of the evening is James Justice taking on Peter Valentine (with Casey Valentine). Justice can still go in the ring, as proven by the the solid match he has with Valentine, but Casey Valentine was the real star of the match on the outside. He was a pest the entire match, causing Justice to have to split his attention the entire match. I would even hazard a guess that a better opponent would have been able to capitalize on the distractions. In the end, a Liberation Slam was enough to put Peter away.

The Chosen Ones Find Themselves An Insurance Policy

No sooner is the match over when Casey Valentine gets in the ring and tries to attack James Justice from behind, but Justice turns around just in time. Casey begins to back away, not wanting to go one on one with the former USPW World Champion. But this is the opening needed by Charlie Thatcher to hit the ring and attack James Justice. The attack is quick, punctuated by a devastating Powerbomb. Before Justice is able to retaliate, The Chosen Ones go to the back, with their Insurance Policy in tow. This must have been what The Chosen Ones were talking about in the locker room last night. As we go to break, Danny Jillefski promises to have video of the interview with Amber Allen.

Amber Allen Interview

Coming back from commercials, we are greeted by Danny Jillefski who says that he had an opportunity to sit down with the newest member of the USPW Women's Division, Amber Allen. Here's what they spoke about:

About her training - A superb technical wrestler as opposed to trying to do everything.

About her last match - She suffered a torn rotator cuff back in February in a TV match.

About her release - She says it took her by surprise. She was recovering from surgery, and was doing the rehab to come back strong when she was told they were releasing her from her contract. She did not elaborate.

To end the segment, Jillefski asked when the fans can expect to see her in the ring. Allen responded she's about a month away from being able to compete. They were clever not to mention anyone from NOTBPW by name.

As we are taken back to the announce table, McQueen kills Jillefski's interview, saying he was lobbing softballs at Allen. She says that someone with journalistic integrity, say "Scoop" Cage would have really gotten the information everyone wanted to hear out of her.

Shane Sneer Tries to Recruit Remo

Up next, Remo Richardson makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation. He repeats what he said last night, and echoing the thoughts that no one wants to challenge him. He says that he's going to make his way to the USPW World Title one wrestler at a time. This way, when he gets his shot (the only one he'll need), there will be no question whether or not he deserves it.

With that, he asks who's going to be brave enough to challenge him first? This cues the music of The Sneer Corporation, which brings out Shane Sneer. He grabs a microphone and says that he's glad Remo is in USPW. He puts him over as a huge monster of unrivaled athleticism and power. He also says that there's no need to wait around for title shots - just join The Sneer Corporation, and Sneer will take care of the rest. As Remo pauses to think about the offer, McQueen says Sneer must have heard her comments last night - what a way to rebuild The Sneer Corporation, Remo would become the centerpiece. Jillefski rightfully interjects that it would also upset the balance of power in The Sneer Corporation, as it might displace Jumbo Jackson and Bruce The Giant.

Remo tells Sneer that he doesn't need his help - he can't even seem to manage his current stable when it comes to title matches. This hits a nerve with Sneer who begins to poke Remo's chest as he tells him that he's making a big mistake, that he's going to need someone to help him navigate to the title. Remo grabs Sneer by the throat. As he prepares to hit The Destroyer (STO), he's attacked from behind by Danny Rushmore, who makes the save. Rushmore is smart enough to just break Remo's hold on Sneer so they can escape - going toe to toe right now would not be wise.

Enygma vs Mick Muscles

In the main event of the night, Enygma takes on Mick Muscles. After what just happened, Shane Sneer is understandably missing from ringside. Creative seems onto something here - have guys that are popular and coming off wins face each other, and the fans might care! Such is the case here as they both are coming off wins at the PPV. Muscles does a good job of holding his own against Enygma in a one on one matchup, even controlling the opening stretch of the match. Enygma does a good job of blocking a Bulldozer Powerbomb attempt by Muscles to turn the tide. The final sequence is interesting, as Enygma catches Muscles with an Enygmagiri Kick that drops him in the middle of the ring, which he follows with the Enygma Variation. Muscles has no option but to tap out, despite the fight he put up earlier.

Enygma Has a Message for Tyson Baine

After the match is over, Enygma grabs a microphone and has something to say to USPW World Champion Tyson Baine! He says that Tyson Baine underestimates USPW if he thinks everyone will simply bow down to him. He says he certainly won't - in fact, he's challenging Tyson Baine to a match at USPW Beach Blast.

And Enygma Has a Message for...Enygma?

Much like the night before, the red fog surrounds the ring and Enygma's voice is heard in the arena. He tells Enygma he shouldn't look to face The Demon, before he faces the demons within himself.

News & Notes

*USPW All Star Wrestling received a 7.36 TV Rating. This is up from last week's 6.15.

*Darryl Devine's turn was a mild success. When we asked fans after the show, they said it was dragged out too long, so it lost some of the impact. The speculation that this break up is an extension of real life is patently false. However, Devine lacked chemistry with Seduction on screen. Further, when he and Caulfield teamed up in house shows, Caulfield had good chemistry with her.

*However, the same argument can't be made for Nicky Champion, who from what we saw on the house show circuit has awful chemistry with Running Wolf. Maybe he'll be the leader of the "Tribe" while Running Wolf teams with someone else. Everything we've heard points to Champion not being in the World Title picture for the next several months.

*Know Your Enemy has 3 wins & 1 Bonus Point

* * *

OOC:We've reached the 4 month mark, so I figured I would pull back the curtain a little bit. The original plan when I started was to have Nicky Champion hold the belt for all of 2013. But as I booked, and wrote out the shows, Know Your Enemy made a comment that it was inevitable there would be a title change against Baine. While there wasn't at the time, it got me thinking about other possibilities.

Baine made sense from a storyline perspective, but he's at the top of the time decline list. How long his reign will be is still up in the air, but so far no one really jumps out. Don't be surprised if there's a transitional champ before it gets back to someone that's more long term.

The McWades probably aren't very over in the US. Plus, the "canadian" gimmick usually doesn't equal many wins.

To answer the part just before this, Caulfield certainly is more over than the McWades. But due to the bloated roster, Dallas is currently auto pushing to Upper Midcard (same as Darryl Devine), but I would prefer if they still had more popularity. Dean McWade is not far behind (about 5 points). The McWades are my vehicle to try to get Mountie Mann over (not sure how realistic it is, at 0 pop in the US at 31 years old). He's only gone up about 4 points across the board since his debut, which isn't too bad I guess.

Hopefully I can get a B-Show in May, to give some exposure to the lower reaches of the card, plus put some of those on decline there.

Not sure how I feel about some of the booking decisions thus far, plus I feel I booked myself into a corner in the Cage/Strong scenario. I may have found a way out though. Not sure it's the best way out, but we'll see on the next show.

I'm looking for a different format to the shows, I'll look around to see if there's something I can borrow stylistically. In the meantime, if there's anything that you guys want to know (roster, developmental, etc) I'll be glad to answer.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 1 May 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 16,125 people at KS Allen Fieldhouse and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Sam Strong Names Baine's Opponent for the PPV

We start the show with Sam Strong coming out to the ring. He says that Tyson Baine should focus on his next challenger rather than rest on his laurels after what was a truly impressive display against Nicky Champion (as much as it pains him to say it). He says that the USPW Championship Committee was looking at possible opponents...and one man immediately stood out due to his willingness to take on the monster, that being Enygma!

Tyson Baine is on the big screen, standing in his dungeon. He says he enjoys seeing people scramble, like the Committee seems to be doing. And how could they not? They are facing a reign of terror the likes USPW has never seen. He says he destroyed Sam's pet to get the belt. He will gladly destroy another of Sam's guys to keep the belt.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

Elliot Thomas vs Hector Galindo

Jillefski and McQueen talk about the news that Enygma will be facing Tyson Baine at Beach Blast, while Brock Cornish reminds us that our next match is part of the #1 Contender's Tournament for the Television Title between Elliot Thomas & Hector Galindo. They play a short intro video for each shot during training sessions. For Elliot Thomas, they show some flashy moves (Jillefski says that all that flipping around won't mean a thing when one of the 'big guys' catches him) but they mix in some technical moves (he quickly changes his tune to the fact that it looks like he might have a future in USPW). He finishes by telling the camera not to judge a book by its cover.

For Galindo they focus more on his speed, and recklessness (they show clips of his Shooting Star Press finisher, not always the prettiest looking move, and sometimes onto a table. Unfortunately, the recipient of the move sometimes moves out of the way!). Jillefski is quick to point out that we won't be seeing that in USPW - but it looks like Galindo is more athleticism than brains. At the end of the clip, he gets up after hitting the table and says that his opponents are surprised by the fact that he can take all this damage and keep coming back. He says he doesn't have any quit in him. He says growing up in the stretts, he and his boys were a tight group, but he's fended for himself just fine before too.

As for the match? Well, USPW fans have certainly seen worse. They were given a decent amount of time, given how little the crowd knows them (almost 8 minutes). The styles mesh well, with each of the competitors trying to outdo the other. For the record, Thomas was a little more clean in his delivery, but I like Galindo's never say die attitude. During the match, Thomas outsmarted Galindo at various points, which allowed him to take the advantage. The finish came with Galindo attempting a (sloppy looking) dropkick on Thomas who was in the corner. When Thomas moved, Galindo took a nasty spill which opened the door for Thomas to hit a nice looking top rope moonsault. Cornish says that the move is called the Quiet Down. I would have called it the "Get on your feet and cheer" - crowd was pretty dead already.

Darryl Devine Speaks Out

When we come back from commercials, Devine is in the ring with a microphone. He says people have been asking him why he turned on Chris Caulfield ever since it happened last Monday night. Well, it all started when he "helped" (more like stole, he says correcting himself) Seduction from him. When he was on his quest to regain the USPW National Title, Caulfield decided it was the right thing to do to stick his nose in their business. And all this time, that's all she could talk about "Chris this...Chris that..." He only took the match last week because she kept nagging him. And sure enough, Caulfield's true colors came through, blatantly trying to steal HIS woman, and he's the one that got hit with the Canadian Lariat. To make matters worse, people are painting him to be the bad guy here when it was Caulfield who took Seduction from him. Her loss, he says coldly as he drops the microphone and walks to the back.

Amber Allen Video

Well, it certainly looks like USPW is doing their best to drum up interest in Amber Allen. They show her watching film of some of the USPW matches - she says that she's looking at everyone's strengths and weaknesses. She also says she even watches some of the mens' matches to see if there's anything she can incorporate into her matches. Jillefski chimes in that she's a true student of the game. He says during their sit down interview, he had the opportunity to watch some of her training sessions and they were pretty impressive.

Cal Sanders vs Charlie Thatcher

The next match is between Charlie Thatcher (with The Chosen Ones at ringside) taking on Cal Sanders. The match was mercifully short, but it did allow a couple of things to shine through: Thatcher looked very dominant and The Chosen Ones acted like jerks, taunting Sanders at every opportunity. Casey Valentine was the one celebrating more out of the group, clearly happy about the decision he made to bring in The Insurance Policy.

Peter Valentine Promo

Peter and Casey get in the ring, and Peter grabs a microphone. He says the reson The Chosen Ones have been trending down lately is because their opponents have been cheating. But with their Insurance Policy backing them, they can be sure to have a level playing field, and the cream will rise to the top. When Peter makes the "level playing field" comment, Casey laughs, patting Thatcher on the back, who only smiles at the comment. Jillefski perceptively says that they can't mean an even playing field.

Roger Cage Makes an Announcement...Thanks to Enygma?

Sam Strong comes out to the ring. As he's about to make an announcement, he's interrupted by Roger Cage. He tells Strong that he's sat on the story too long...he's going to have to go public with it. Strong calls for Security so they can remove Roger Cage from the arena. Cage continues to walk towards the ring, when Enygma comes down from the rafters. He stands side by side with Sam Strong - if Cage is brave enough to get in the ring, he'll have to face Enygma! And if he turns around, Security is blocking the entranceway. Suddenly, Enygma uses the end of the bat to hit Sam Strong in the midsection. Strong falls to his knees, doubled over in pain. Security doesn't know what to do. Enygma motions for Cage to get in the ring, and Security begins to follow him when Enygma points the bat at them, stopping them dead in their tracks.

Jillefski can't believe what just happened. Cage gets in the ring, a little hesitant at first, unsure of whether Enygma is just embracing a new mean streak or if he's actually helping him. Enygma offers him a microphone, giving him the floor. As Cage begins to speak, Strong is struggling to get up, so Enygma uses his foot to knock him down. Cage says that Sam Strong has a very dark past he wanted to keep a secret from everyone, but a little investigating reveals that Sam Strong has a son! The arguing at the announce table stops, and the fans don't quite know how to react. Enygma leads Cage out of the ring, and makes sure Cage gets out of the arena safely. McQueen laments the fact that this son is going to get pushed down our throats if he joins the roster, but takes pleasure in the fact that Strong isn't as upstanding as everyone thought he was. Jillefski, at a loss for words, says we're going to a commercial break.

Natasha Snow Hypes Karloff

Coming back from the break, Natasha Snow hypes The Cold Warriors. Since tonight Karloff is taking on James Hernandez, an inferior opponent in her words, she says that she and Novak will not be at ringside. Karloff knows what to do, and he should have no issues tonight.

Enygma Will FEEL THE FORCE

The announcers briefly talk about The Cold Warriors, and specifically Karloff's upcoming match, before Jillefski steers the conversation back to Enygma's actions earlier tonight. He says that someone needs to get to the bottom of this. McQueen suggests Roger Cage might be able to find out a thing or two, which causes Jillefski shakes his head in disbelief at the comment. Cornish says that he's getting word of a commotion backstage.

We find The Force smashing things, looking for Enygma (uh, Jim? I don't think he's hiding under a table, no need to flip it over!). Eventually he finds Enygma backstage. He tells him that he can't believe what he did to Sam Strong earlier tonight. Enygma says he doesn't know what The Force is talking about, he just got in not long ago. The Force gets in his face, saying that if he wants to fight, he shouldn't be going after Sam Strong, someone who's been retired for almost a decade. Enygma is not looking to fight him, instead trying to get around him, but The Force keeps blocking his path. The Force shoves him, telling Enygma that tonight he's going to FEEL THE FORCE!

James Hernandez vs Krusher Karloff

Our next match is between Krusher Karloff and James Hernandez. Karloff takes control of the match from the early going, overpowering Hernandez and keeping him grounded. Karloff should just pin Hernandez, but instead decides he's going to have some fun. When Savage Fury come out and begin circling around the ring, Karloff simply uses the opportunity to try to send a message. But soon, both Java and Tribal Warrior get involved. At first Karloff is able to keep his composure. But when Tribal Warrior gets admonished for jumping on the apron, Java gets physically involved. Karloff lunges forward and Java ducks...as Karloff turns around, he gets hit with a picture perfect Super Kick, which allows Hernandez to get the pin.

Remo Richardson is Ambushed

Remo Richardson is walking backstage when he gets ambushed by The Sneer Corporation. The bulk of the damage is done by Jumbo Jackson and Mick Muscles, but Danny Rushmore gets some hits in. Sneer is off to the side directing traffic. I'm sure he'll be gloating about this next week.

Enygma vs The Force

The semi-main event of the evening is The Force taking on an unwilling Enygma. I'll hand it to The Force, he really brought some energy to the match. For his part, Enygma does a good job of putting across that he doesn't want to fight The Force, but ultimately has to defend himself when The Force shows no intentions of backing down. Jillefski seems conflicted about the match. On the one hand, Enygma attacked Sam Strong and deserves to pay for it. But also, it's strange to see two faces going at it. The majority of the match sees The Force on the offensive, with Enygma being able to avoid the attacks. When The Force eventually connects, Enygma begins to fight back, but only to the point that The Force is kept at bay. The end of the match sees the action spill outside the ring, and Enygma takes the opportunity keep the action outside the ring for the double count out.

Anarchy Promises to Hurt T-Rex & His Mystery Partner

We are taken to a pre-taped segment with Anarchy and his Disciples at the motorcycle club. He says it doesn't matter who T-Rex brings, they will hurt them - and they will hurt T-Rex. And once they're through with them, they can set their sights on some gold in USPW.

Chris Caulfield & The First Nation (Nicky Champion & Running Wolf) vs Mountie Mann & The McWade Brothers

The main event of the evening is between the teams of Chris Caulfield & The First Nation (Nicky Champion and Running Wolf) and Mountie Mann & The McWade Brothers. The Mountie plays his role in the match well, getting a few cheap shots in on Caulfield when he was in the Canadian's corner. But once he was in the ring with Running Wolf, he quickly tags out to one of the McWades. The end of the match came with Nicky Champion pinning Dallas McWade after a Hawkeye Hammer. It's a shame Nicky Champion & Running Wolf lack chemistry - they'd be a fine addition to the USPW Tag Team scene.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 2 May 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 18,545 people at GA Philips Arena and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

James Justice Wants a Shot at Baine

In a slight departure of how shows have been opening lately, we see Sam Strong sitting in his office when James Justice bursts in. He tells Strong he can't still be considering Enygma as a title contender...especially after what he did last week. Strong tells him that he doesn't think that was the real Enygma. Regardless, they have already promised the fans that Enygma would take on Tyson Baine at the PPV. James Justice does make a convincing argument - what if that WAS the real Enygma and he is in cahoots with Tyson Baine? He tells Strong that he's the only one who can make sure Enygma won't just lay down for (and align himself with) Tyson Baine. Strong tells Justice that he's got a lot on his plate, but he'll make him a deal: team with Enygma this week against The Towers of Power, and Strong will make sure he's involved in the title match. He adds that the dominance being displayed by Baine right now might only be derailed if two people join forces. Justice seems a little uneasy, but agrees to the terms.

USPW Television Title

Chris Caulfield © vs Casey Valentine

Next, we go to the ring for tonigh's first match. It's Chris Caulfield taking on Casey Valentine, as he looks to make his 8th USPW Television Title defense. Conspicuous by his absence is Charlie Thatcher, but I guess he has a match later on. Oddly enough, Casey and Peter are an awkward pairing when Peter is "managing" his nephew. Casey did have Caulfield on the ropes, but his brashness (and unwillingness to be managed) leads to Caulfield turning the tide and retaining with a Danger Drop. In Casey's defense, what is Peter going to manage him on? Backstage politics?

T-Rex Finds a Partner

In his backstage interview, T-Rex tells Anarchy & The D.O.A. that they might have come out of his past (Anarchy specifically). But at Beach Blast, he's found someone from Anarchy's past that is going to even the playing field. A note to T-Rex: That still leaves Anarchy on the outside...you might need another person if you REALLY want to even the playing field.

USPW Television TItle #1 Contender Tournament

American Patriot vs Kirk Jameson

At the broadcast position, Brock Cornish tells us we have a highlight package to learn more about the competitors in our next match. First up, is Kirk Jameson. We get to see him abuse his sparring partner, focusing on a single body part. He says not to expect any flips from him. He's here to win, and knows exactly how to do it. The video cuts immediately to the Kirk-Hold, an Elevated Leg Lock. I can imagine what a match between Jameson and Marc Speed would be like...

The video then goes to American Patriot. Rather than focus so much on his skills, the video highlights the character. Lots of flag waving and patriotic cliches, American Patriot will fit right in with USPW. The storyline possibilities are endless with this guy.

The second match of the night gets underway, with American Patriot taking on Kirk Jameson. As expected, Jameson focuses on one body part (going after Patriot's leg), while Patriot tries to brawl with Jameson. Patriot could go far in USPW - he's got a decent look and a style that fits USPW. Jameson might struggle with his no frills approach, but it might get over. If I have to rank the TV Title Tournament matches so far, this one would be second to the Marc Speed/Matt Hocking match. Patriot does a good job of powering out of Jameson's submission attempts, eventually putting him down with an Inverted Piledriver.

The Force Challenges Darryl Devine

After a commercial break, USPW National champion Darryl Devine is backstage. He begins to run down Chris Caulfield and Seduction again, but before he gets too far in his rant, he's interrupted by The Force. He looks hyped this week. He says he was re-energized after going toe to toe with that traitor Enygma last week, especially since he would have won had Enygma not caused a double count out. So he decided to come out this week to challenge Darryl Devine for the USPW National Title at the PPV. He tells Devine to forget the past, or he won't even see it coming when he FEELS THE FORCE!

JOJI vs Charlie Thatcher

The next match is between JOJI (already in the ring when we come back from the last segment) and Charlie Thatcher. JOJI does what he can against the much bigger Thatcher, but it's not much, hitting a brick wall whenever he tries to bring the big man down. The match is mercifully short, with Charlie Thatcher finishing him off with a Crusher Legdrop.

The Chosen Ones get in the ring, with Casey Valentine taunting JOJI who is motionless on the canvas. Peter grabs a microphone and says that Charlie Thatcher is sending a message to everyone in USPW. He follows that up saying that anyone who wants a piece of The Chosen Ones will have to worry about The Insurance Policy.

Out With a Whimper...

Roger Cage comes out to the ring. He is gloating over the biggest story he's ever broken, Sam Strong having a long lost son. Sam Strong's music hits and he comes out with a young man. The two talk amongst themselves briefly, Sam patting him on the back. Sam says that this is indeed his son, Erik Strong. He says what he was trying to prevent by keeping it a secret was exactly what happened: Erik being ostracized in his old company.

He said he wanted to do right by Erik, and when he was old enough, he called Rip Chord and asked him to train him. As a nod to that, Rip gave him the name last name Strong. The work Rip did was incredible, Erik showing marked improvement rapidly. He asked Rip not to let other promoters know the true identity of Erik - he wanted him to succeed on his own merits. He says he also didn't think anyone would really believe he was Sam's son and was trying to get ahead by lying. They cut to the crowd and show several shots of people nodding, as if in agreement with what Strong is saying.

Cage is furious as he hears this. He thought this was going to be his big break, and Sam Strong and the fans seem to be shrugging it off.

Tyson Baine Promo

As the announcers discuss how the story backfired on Roger Cage, the big screen shows Tyson Baine in his dungeon. He says Sam Strong is right about one thing: Tyson Baine IS dominant. But it doesn't matter whether he puts one man or two men in there. The more men he beats, the less anyone will want to challenge him. So go ahead and line them up, because he will beat Enygma and James Justice at Beach Blast.

Savage Fury/The Cold Warriors Confrontation

Backstage we see Natasha Snow with The Cold Warriors. Karloff is trying to explain his loss last week, but Snow doesn't want to hear the excuses. We see Savage Fury come around the corner and look into the locker room, mocking The Cold Warriors (especially Karloff). They also tell them that they should enjoy the last few weeks of their title reign, because the titles are coming back to them at the PPV. Karloff is ready to go after them when he's stopped by Novak and Snow, with Snow telling Karloff that there's always a plan...and it's not tonight.

USPW Women's Title #1 Contender

Joanne Rodriguez vs Melody vs Belle Bryden vs Cherry Bomb

Up next, we have the Fatal 4 Way match to determine the #1 Contender for the USPW Women's Title. The odds on favorite to take the win here is Belle Bryden, but the other three women would be interesting opponents. Melody is a former champ, and she saved Alicia Strong a few weeks ago. Joanne Rodriguez is Alicia's tag team partner, but there's been trouble brewing since Alicia left her to fend for herself in a match last month. And Cherry Bomb? Well, she's just a crazy person! The match was interesting in that the women never really paired off, with all of them realizing what was at stake. And Alicia on commentary really brought a different dynamic. The two heels spend a good amount of time taunting Alicia, and one of these times leads to the finish. With Cherry Bomb & Melody brawling on the outside, Belle Bryden hist the Dish of the Day on Joanne Rodriguez, but rather than going for the cover, she taunts Alicia. Cherry Bomb comes in and throws Bryden out of the ring, and gets the pin instead! Cherry Bomb will face Alicia Strong at the PPV.

Natural Storm Return

We go backstage and into a locker room where we find...Natural Storm with Persephone! We haven't seen them in I don't know how long! Persephone says they have been training, and watching tape of the Soviets. But it looks like they have their hands full with Savage Fury. She says they would love to be the ones to end the Soviets' reign, but if Savage Fury are the ones to do so, they'd be the first to congratulate them...and ask for a title shot.

Shane Sneer Gloats

Shane Sneer is backstage with The Sneer Corporation. They laugh about what they did to Remo last week, saying that he's exactly what they needed to get back to their winning ways - rising to the occasion, rather than lowering themselves to the level of their opponents. And the fact that Remo won't be at 100% will mean that Rushmore will have his way with him at the PPV.

Enygma & James Justice vs The Towers of Power

The main event of the night is the tag team match between The Towers of Power and the unwilling team of Enygma and James Justice. The first part of the match was mostly Justice and Enygma trading blind tags whenever the other had momentum, which leads to neither one being able to capitalize on it. But as the Towers of Power start to take the upper hand, out comes Remo and begins attacking them, first Rushmore, then Muscles. As we close the show, Remo stands tall, though The Towers of Power take the victory by DQ. Justice doesn't seem to care, as he and Enygma go their separate ways.

USPW Television Title

Chris Caulfield © vs Peter Valentine

Caulfield is the stronger competitor and Valentine should and needs to put him over clean.

#1 Contender Tournament for the USPW Television Title

California Love Machine vs Cameron Vessey

Even in TCW Territory Vessey will be way more over

Running Wolf vs Andre Jones

Andre is way more over. This is a squash match.

Natural Storm vs The McWade Brothers

Could go either way -- of the veteran independent teams out there the McWades are probably the best, I'll give them the dub here.

via shenanigans as Sneer Co. needs a win to cement themselves as the top stable.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 3 May 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 18,620 people at MA TD Garden and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Roger Cage Wants a Shot

We open the show with a clip from earlier tonight outside the arena. As Sam Strong arrives, Roger Cage approaches him, this time without his press credentials. He says he has been disgraced by the last story, and since it did not deliver the numbers his job expected, he was fired! He asks Strong to let him wrestle, but Strong says that he can try again next week, but it doesn't look like a possibility at this time.

USPW Television Title

Chris Caulfield © vs Peter Valentine

The first match of the night is the USPW Television Title match between champion Chris Caulfield and Peter Valentine. I can't believe USPW extended Valentine's contract. What does he bring to the table? Anything?!? And the fact that he's getting title shots of all things. The story being told in the match is Peter Valentine attempting to do what his nephew couldn't do the week before, and that is to win the USPW Television Title. In this instance, Casey and Charlie Thatcher were at ringside. And with Peter Valentine in trouble, it's Charlie Thatcher who attacks Caulfield, causing the immediate DQ.

Datsun Saves Caulfield

Peter tries to convince Casey that he had it under control, until he realizes Thatcher is still attacking Caulfield, and Casey joins in; Peter is still visibly upset at the outcome. As the two on one continues, Freddie Datsun comes out wielding a chair. Datsun clears the ring, saving Caulfield from the attack.

#1 Contender Tournament for the USPW Television Title

California Love Machine vs Cameron Vessey

Back at the announce desk, Brock Cornish directs our attention to the video screen where we learn a little bit about this week's competitors in the Television Title #1 Contender Tournament. First up is California Love Machine, who is shown doing all sorts of moves most of the USPW roster probably never dreamt of doing, namely his Shooting Star Leg Drop finisher. Based on his highlight video alone, the kid looks impressive. USPW shows some of his work on the independent circuit (not wanting to give CZCW any publicity), and I noticed lots of teenage girls cheering for CLM, especially when he takes his shirt off...if only USPW had a bigger percentage of their fanbase in that demographic, that might actually work here.

Next up, is Cameron Vessey. He talks about his pedigree, and how it's unrivaled in USPW. Really Cam? Alicia Strong comes to mind immediately. I would say Casey Valentine, but then I remembered that leads to Peter Valentine...he might have a point there. Based on his past work alone, he should be the front runner to win this tournament. The Vessey Driver looks impressive too. I can't wait to see it used in a match.

The match itself was pretty decent (just behind last week's match) with back and forth action. Both CLM and Vessey are given time to work their spots in. In the end, an impressive looking Vessey Driver puts CLM down for the three count. They cut to the back, where Casey Valentine watches on the monitor approvingly. Peter is still arguing with Casey but it seems one sided - Casey's not paying attention.

Anarchy Threatens T-Rex

In a pre-taped segment at the motorcycle club, Anarchy says that if T-Rex thinks he's going to outsmart him, he doesn't know who he's dealing with. He hasn't ruled with an iron fist by being fooled. So T-Rex should watch his back...he might not make it until Sunday.

Andre Jones Tries to Get in Nicky Champion's Head

Nicky Champion is backstage talking to Running Wolf when Andre Jones approaches them. He tells Champion that he expected more from him than tucking his tail between his legs after losing the title. Especially when it's led to him taking someone like Running Wolf under his wing. Running Wolf takes offense to the comment and gets in Andre's face. Champion pulls him back, and tells Running Wolf that they should settle it in the ring. Jones leaves smirking, apparently getting what he wanted.

Running Wolf vs Andre Jones

Coming back from the commercial break, we get the match between Andre Jones and Running Wolf. After getting the upperhand in the match, Andre Jones spent a good portion of the match taunting Champion. After hitting the Blast From The Past, Jones stares Champion down a few seconds before going for the pin. After the bell rings, he tells Champion that when he gets in the ring with him, it's going to be the same result.

The Force/Darryl Devine Feud Video

We have a quick video recapping the events that led to the USPW National Title match this Sunday between The Force and Darryl Devine. Not a great video by any means - USPW has to do a better job at developing the stories of people who are not involved in the USPW World Title race.

Mountie Mann Hypes The McWade Brothers

Backstage, we see Mountie Mann with The McWade Brothers. He says tonight they have a chance to prove they deserve a shot at the USPW World Tag Team champions, whoever it might be after this Sunday. He also says that Natural Storm won't make an impact on their return at the expense of his clients.

Natural Storm vs The McWade Brothers

Despite Mountie Mann's claims to the contrary, Natural Storm did in fact make an impact at the expense of The McWade Brothers. They didn't seem to miss a beat despite their extended absence. It was great to see two experienced teams going at it in the semi-main event. USPW is really missing the boat if they don't get behind more stories. This could have a been a worthy main event. A Storm Damage on Dallas McWade from D.C. Rayne marked the end of the match, but this is probably not over going forward.

Remo Hypes His Match Against Danny Rushmore

Remo tells Shane Sneer that they won't be able to keep him down. Two weeks ago, they attacked him from behind as a group. Last week, he came at them face to face. (Well, not exactly...he did attack Rushmore from behind, but I guess Mick Muscles did see him after the ref called for the bell). He says that when he goes one on one against Danny Rushmore, he'll put him away like the relic he is. And when he's through with Rushmore, he'll take on his next challenger.

Cherry Bomb Promo

We see a short clip of the match Cherry Bomb won last week to become the #1 Contender for Alicia Strong's USPW Women's Title. Cherry Bomb appears on the screen after the clip ends, saying she's going to bring the Women's Division to the forefront of the USPW landscape after she beats Alicia for the title.

The Cold Warriors an Savage Fury Brawl

Savage Fury are in the ring, talking about The Cold Warriors. As they taunt the Soviets, Karloff comes out from the back, quickly followed by Novak and Natasha Snow. Karloff looks ready to go after them, but Snow instructs Novak to stop him. Savage Fury play a clip of Hernandez getting the pin on Karloff a few weeks back, which incites the ire of Karloff. He makes it past Novak and rushes the ring. At this point, Novak has no choice but to join him, with Snow looking exasperated at one of her charges not being able to stay in line. The two teams set to face each other this Sunday engage in an all out brawl, which takes all sorts of USPW staff to break up.

James Justice vs Jumbo Jackson

The main event of the night pits James Justice against Jumbo Jackson of The Sneer Corporation. With Justice beginning to take control, Baine's music and pyro hits...but he doesn't come out! This gets Justice to forget about Jackson just long enough for Jackson to go on the offensive. Jackson is able to hit the Jumbo Avalanche in the corner to get the pin.

Enygma Attacks James Justice

Justice is furious! He grabs the microphone and calls Baine out, when suddenly...the lights go out. We hear two thuds before the lights come back on. When they finally do, Justice is getting up when he notices a bat laying beside him. As he gets up, he's looking everywhere for both Baine and Enygma, neither of which is anywhere to be found.

Prediction Contest: Know Your Enemy [5 Wins + 1 Bonus Point]

We heard it through the grapevine...

*USPW is considering giving Peter Valentine a run as a face later this year, but they are trying to build Casey Valentine enough to be his first opponent.

*USPW is considering certain changes to the PPV schedule in terms of stipulations. The planned stipulation for November is Elimination Matches (4 on 4, 3 on 3), with the survivors in those matches facing off at a later date to determine entry order in a battle royal.

*USPW Creative is floating the idea of Danny Jillefski taking over the company in storyline terms when Sam Strong steps down, while others feel a heel Emily McQueen might provide more mileage.

USPW Beach Blast Preview

USPW World Tag Team Titles

Savage Fury vs The Cold Warriors © (w/ Natasha Snow)

The Cold Warriors, being led by Natasha Snow, have managed to hold on to the USPW World Tag Team Titles since defeating Natural Storm. But Savage Fury came dangerously close to taking the titles from them last month. Will Savage Fury be able to finish the job this time?

USPW Television Title #1 Contenders Tournament - Loser's Bracket

Matt Hocking vs Hector Galindo

After suffering setbacks in their respective first round matches, Matt Hocking and Hector Galindo are facing elimination in this match. Will the "Surfer Dude" prevail against the unpredictable Hector Galindo?

T-Rex & ??? vs D.O.A. (w/ Anarchy)

Anarchy and his Disciples have been a thorn on T-Rex's side since they arrived. But T-Rex has found himself a partner to even the sides. Will the "Jurassic Power" and his mystery partner be able to overcome the Disciples of Anarchy?

USPW National Title

The Force vs Darryl Devine ©

Darryl Devine has had some issues with Chris Caulfield ever since Seduction took the side of the "Hardcore American" last month. Meanwhile, The Force is coming off a moral victory (a draw with Enygma). Will he be able to ride the wave of momentum to a USPW National Title victory?

USPW Women's Title

Alicia Strong © vs Cherry Bomb

Alicia Strong looks to make her first defense against the combustible Cherry Bomb, who won a 4 Way match to earn a title shot. Will Alicia Strong be able put her first challenger away? Or will her reign be short lived?

Remo Richardson vs Danny Rushmore (w/ Shane Sneer)

Remo makes his USPW in-ring debut against Danny Rushmore. The Sneer Corporation has gotten the better of Remo on one occasion, but Remo was sure to even the score going into the PPV. Will The Sneer Corporation make their presence felt at the PPV? Even if they do, will it be enough to stop Remo?

USPW World Title

Enygma vs James Justice vs Tyson Baine ©

Tyson Baine was finally able to put Nicky Champion away last month, capturing the USPW World Title. Enygma has been the subject of accusations, especially from James Justice since the attack on Sam Strong took place. It was this attack that led to James Justice being inserted into the match. "The Dude" suddenly has a renewed focus, while Tyson Baine looks to prove that the title win was no fluke. Enygma seems to be the wild card in this match up. Will he side with Tyson Baine? Will the accusations levied against him force him to focus his attacks on James Justice?

Sam Strong Promo

Sam Strong comes out to open the show. He thanks the fans for their support, as they've filled Joan C Edwards Stadium to capacity for the show. He says that they have a great show ahead of them, especially the USPW World Title match between the champion Tyson Baine, James Justice, and Enygma.

USPW World Tag Team Titles

Savage Fury vs. The Cold Warriors © (with Natasha Snow)

We get straight to the action on the PPV, with The Cold Warriors (looking to make the first defense of the USPW World Tag Team Titles) taking on Savage Fury. Much like their first encounter last month, it was a match with not much selling, as all four participants are powerhouses. As the match went on, Savage Fury began to wear down Krusher Karloff. It looked as though they would bring down the Soviets, Karloff makes a tag...and the lights go out. When the lights come on, the referee is out, with Enygma standing behind Tribal Warrior. He goes on the attack, while Karloff and Novak neutralize Java. Natasha Snow wakes the referee up just in time as Novak makes the cover on Tribal Warrior! This must have been the plan Snow was referring to; the reason why she wasn't worried about Savage Fury getting the upper hand on her clients leading up to the PPV!

The match is over, but that means The Cold Warriors and Enygma are only getting started on their attack on Savage Fury. At Snow's command Enygma hits Tribal Warrior, then Java with the bat. And while they may be two of the toughest dudes in wrestling, there's not much they could do in this situation, being outnumbered. The Cold Warriors, along with their newest member stand tall above Savage Fury.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament – Win or go home!

Matt Hocking vs. Hector Galindo

The next match is Hector Galindo taking on Matt Hocking in a match where the winner stays alive in the USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament, and the loser is eliminated. The severity of the outcome seemed to weigh heavily on the mind of both competitors, with Hocking not being so laid back, and Galindo taking fewer risks. Neither one wanted to be out of the tournament after only two matches. In the end, Hector Galindo hits the Shooting Star Press to get the victory over Matt Hocking, who is now eliminated from the tournament. It looks like a "back to the wall" Hector Galindo will be a tough out for anyone in this tournament.

Persephone & Natural Storm Look On

We go backstage where we find Persephone with her clients Natural Storm. They are discussing what happened during the USPW World Tag Team Title match earlier this evening. Persephone is concerned at The Cold Warriors bringing in Enygma into the fold, and while Howard and Rayne agree, they also say that if it's strictly 2 on 2, they are confident they can win the titles back. Note to Natural Storm: With Natasha Snow in charge, good luck getting a match free of interference against The Cold Warriors.

USPW Fan Fest

We see clips of different events USPW held in the week leading up to Beach Blast. It was interesting to see Remo at a library reading to kids, and Nicky Champion visiting a hospital. We also see clips of a fan festival the day before Beach Blast, with Enygma, James Justice, Chris Caulfield and Sam Strong interacting with the fans.

D.O.A. Neutralize T-Rex

As T-Rex is getting ready in the back, he gets attacked by Skull & Bones, with Anarchy taking a few shots as well. This makes the initial attack (getting attacked in the parking lot) like a walk in the park. To finish off the segment, Skull & Bones drag T-Rex out to the ring, where Anarchy takes a few more shots at T-Rex. They leave him face down in the ring, as they stand victorious over him.

USPW National Title

The Force vs. Darryl Devine ©

The announcers can't seem to wrap their head around what just happened. Does that mean there's not going to be a match? Danny Jillefski gets word that the T-Rex match is off the card, given what we just saw. Instead, we move directly to the USPW National Title match between Darryl Devine and The Force. Devine continues to do well in PPV matches. I hate to sound like a broken record though: they need to give his matches a little background. As it is, he seems to be focused on Chris Caulfield, who is taking the high road and answered his comments. The Force has a few moments in the match where he's in control, overpowering Devine. But honestly, the result was a foregone conclusion, with Devine hitting the Devine Dream Drop for the win.

After the match, Darryl Devine grabs a microphone and runs down The Force. He then turns his attention to Chris Caulfield and Seduction. He says that everyone thinks Chris Caulfield is a great guy, but he went behind his back and stole Seduction from him. Much like in other instances, there's no sign of Caulfield. What will Devine have to do to get his attention?

Freddie Datsun vs. Roger Cage

We see Sam Strong in his office, and he calls in Roger Cage. He says that after D.O.A.'s attack on T-Rex, they have a spot to fill on the card. He tells Roger Cage that he better be ready, because he'll be facing "The American Everyman" Freddie Datsun tonight!

The announcers kill some time before the match, talking about what's happened so far, plus what's yet to come. It was interesting to see Emily McQueen take the side of Remo (but when you consider his opponent is Danny Rushmore, it'd be foolish to pick against Remo. Freddie Datsun makes his way first, then Roger Cage. He and Datsun manage to put on quite the show for the fans - if only they cared about both competitors. Not surprisingly, Cage got a decent pop, especially after rubbing shoulders with Sam Strong the whole time before. Datsun serves the purpose of solid hand in the ring to the up and coming Cage - together, they put on the best match so far. When it looked as though Cage would be put down for good, Casey Valentine attacks Datsun behind the referee's back, allowing Roger Cage to get the pinfall victory.

USPW Women’s Title

Alicia Strong © vs. Cherry Bomb

In yet another rushed build, we see clips of how we arrived at the Alicia Strong vs. Cherry Bomb title match. We see Cherry Bomb win the Fatal 4 Way to become the #1 Contender by taking advantage Belle Bryden hitting the Dish of The Day on Joanne Rodriguez. Then, in a pre-taped segment, Cherry Bomb says that she's unstable, so Alicia better watch out...she might just EXPLODE! When Alicia is about to respond (also in a pre-taped segment), Rodriguez complains to her that she should have stepped in two weeks ago to help her in the match, at the very least stopping the Cherry Bomb pin. Rodriguez says the reason Alicia didn't was because she wants to hold her back. Alicia tries to explain the situation, but Rodriguez storms out. Alicia finishes out the segment with a generic "face champion" promo.

As Alicia Strong makes her way out, Rodriguez is trying to explain what happened before. Alicia assures her it's fine - she's clearly trying to focus on the match that's about to begin. Speaking of the match, it was a great encounter between the two. Again, and I hate to be a broken record, Creative has to do their job building heat for these matches, or it's the workers who will suffer long term. The match is very even throughout, with Cherry Bomb getting Alicia into trouble, and taking almost the full 5 count before heeding the referee's commands. The finish of the match comes with Cherry Bomb reversing an Irish Whip, and Joanne Rodriguez (accidentally?) tripping Alicia. Confused, Alicia begins arguing with Rodriguez, which creates the opportunity for Cherry Bomb to hit a release German Suplex on her. That looked pretty vicious! She locks Alicia in a Single Leg Boston Crab, and when she's about to escape from it, Cherry Bomb turns it into an STF. The pain is too much, and Alicia is tapping! But Cherry Bomb doesn't release the hold, and gets disqualified. She eventually does and taunts Alicia before leaving. Rodriguez is standing outside the ring, shaking her head. As Alicia tries to make it to her feet, we hear Rodriguez tell her that "now we're even" before extending her hand to Alicia. The champ is utterly confused, and more than a little wary of being helped by Rodriguez at this point.

Nicky Champion is Confronted by Andre Jones

We go backstage where we see Nicky Champion talking to Running Wolf in the hallway, when he is interrupted by Andre Jones. He tells Champion that sooner or later, he's going to have to stop hiding behind other people (from Sam Strong to Running Wolf) and face him like a man. And even though it would have been better if he was still the World Champion, it would still be a signature win.

Remo Richardson vs. Danny Rushmore (w/ Shane Sneer)

Jillefski chimes in saying that Andre Jones keeps trying to get under Nicky Champion's skin. Emily McQueen says he has every right to be angry. If Nicky Champion had given him a title shot a few months ago when he'd earned one, we might have Andre Jones as champion. And now that Baine has the World Title, who knows when that reign of terror will end. They send it to the back, where Brock Cornish is standing by with Shane Sneer.

Shane Sneer says that Danny Rushmore will put Remo in his place tonight, cementing The Sneer Corporation as the dominant force in USPW.

Well, USPW Management must be thrilled with the addition of Remo. The presence he has is incredible; he might just be the giant among giants like he claims. And in case Creative is taking notes: this is what you get when you invest time to build a story behind the match (a MOTN candidate - in which a declining Danny Rushmore is involved in a 1-on-1 match). They must be salivating already - if Remo can do this with Rushmore, what can he do going up against some real star power? In any case, Rushmore still looked good in the match (he didn't get dominated), but I don't think anyone in the crowd really thought he had a chance against Remo. Sneer tried to interfere more than once, but he couldn't change the outcome of the match. Once Remo hit The Destroyer, it was over.

Immediately following the match, Sneer gets on the apron and looks like he's going to go into the ring to surprise Remo. But as he's coming into the ring, Remo turns around and Sneer freezes. He begins to go back under the second rope, but Remo grabs him when he's on the apron. There's nowhere for Sneer to go! Remo tosses Sneer into the ring over the ropes to the delight of the crowd. But before he's able to do more damage, Mick Muscles and Jumbo Jackson attack him from behind. Sneer is able to escape as Muscles and Remo brawl briefly, with Jumbo Jackson able to help turn the tide in The Sneer Corporation's favor. Once they get Remo down, they exit the ring, not wanting to risk Remo getting the upper hand somehow.

USPW World Title

Enygma vs. James Justice vs. Tyson Baine ©

Jillefski and McQueen talk about the match that just happened, and Jillefski says that as tough as Remo is, he was lucky that Bruce The Giant was not here tonight - he doesn't think Bruce would have backed down as quickly once he got Remo down.

Enygma comes down from the rafters, and it appears as though the main event is about ready to get underway. As James Justice is making his way to the ring, he encounters a dejected Matt Hocking rolling his suitcase to the car. Justice takes a moment to encourage Hocking, telling him a couple of losses aren't the end of the world.

Tyson Baine makes his awesome entrance, again coming up from under the stage. He tells the audience that he'll make an example out of anyone who steps in the ring with him, and Enygma and Justice will be no different. He says that he's looking forward to tonight, because he's going to annihilate TWO of his biggest opponents (note: not threats) in one match. They cut to the back as he's finishing up, where we see Chris Caulfield watching that promo on the monitor.

It's time for the main event of the night, and it turns out to be pretty good (just a little behind Remo's match). It is probably hampered by Justice's rushed inclusion a few weeks before, but hopefully it plays out well in the ring. As soon as the bell rings, all three competitors begin looking around. Baine is looking towards Justice, Justice is looking towards Enygma, and Enygma is looking at both. The opening sequence sets the tone for the match itself - Justice goes after Enygma, and it's Baine who goes after Justice (ignoring Enygma). This simply fuels Justice's paranoia that Enygma and Baine are working together. This is until towards the end of the match, Enygma is able to get away from Justice and begins to attack Baine. He has the monster on the ropes and is about to lock in The Enygma Variation, when Justice pulls him off! They begin to brawl, with Justice throwing Enygma out of the ring. This might be his opportunity, but as he turns around, Baine has recovered! He eats a Hades Bomb for his troubles, and takes the pin. Unable to make the save, Enygma seems defeated. Justice gets in Enygma's face after the match, but Enygma simply turns and walks away as Justice continues to yell at him.

NEWS & NOTES

*USPW Beach Blast was a success, exceeding anyone’s expectations. It was USPW’s best event this year, and also earned a 1.67 buy rate. This is a .22 increase from USPW Spring Break Out last month. Here’s hoping USPW are able to capitalize on this success as they move forward.

*Not all was positive in the fan’s eyes. USPW continues this nasty habit of bait and switch at their PPVs. This time, T-Rex and his mystery partner were set to take on the D.O.A. Instead, it was a late scratch, and replaced with Roger Cage’s in-ring debut in USPW. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Cage’s match. But don’t advertise matches and then don’t deliver. The reason, we found out, makes it that much worse: They were unable to finalize contract talks with the person who would be T-Rex’s partner in time. You are, allegedly, the #2 promotion in the United States – start acting like it. You would think they would have planned a little better. Hopefully it doesn’t become a habit, but this is already 3 matches they advertised on PPVs this year that didn’t come to pass (The Force vs. Bruce The Giant, Matt Hocking vs. Marc Speed, and now T-Rex and a Mystery Partner vs. D.O.A.). We understand this match will take place tonight.

*USPW is hoping to build some other stars to be able to main event television shows. Nicky Champion asked to work with the midcard in hopes of helping them move up the card. In related news, expect the Nicky Champion/Andre Jones feud to revolve around a stable war. They are testing Andre Jones’s ability against top tier talent. In other Nicky Champion news, he’s pushing for another program with Tyson Baine – don’t expect it to happen until Baine drops the belt.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 4 May 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 16,691 people at MO Scottrade Center and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Win or Go Home: USPW Television Title #1 Contender

We start tonight's show with a match, as the USPW Television Title #1 Contender tournament continues with a match between California Love Machine and Kirk Jameson. The match itself was far from spectacular, but given the ratings it's received so far it's encouraging that USPW has decided to continue to feature the participants. CLM played the teen heart throb to perfection, a good contrast to Jameson's no nonsense approach in the ring. Jameson focused his attacks on keeping CLM grounded, and succeeded to a large extent (CLM did manage to hit a few flashy moves), getting the win via submission with the Kirk-Hold.

Marc Speed Promo

We go backstage, where Marc Speed is giving a promo. He says that it doesn't matter whether he has to wait 5 weeks or a couple of days - he has experience in both environments. He says next week, he will make Elliot Thomas tap out - the only question is whether he's going to use the Cross Arm Breaker or target a different body part.

Chris Caulfield & Freddie Datsun vs The Chosen Ones (Peter & Casey Valentine)

This match came about as a result of the finish of the match between Roger Cage and Freddie Datsun last night. This time, we get Peter & Casey Valentine taking on Datsun & Chris Caulfield. Perhaps the most unproven in the group is Valentine - there's word going around that management will start putting more emphasis on the youngsters in the coming months. This might be a start, if not for the fact that Charlie Thatcher is the one interfering this time to help Valentine get the pin on Datsun.

Natasha Snow Formally Introduces The Secret Weapon & Enygma Quits

As the heels celebrate, we are taken backstage where we see James Justice taking Enygma to task over last night, even going so far as to blame his loss on Enygma. Justice won't let Enygma get a word in, accusing him of siding with The Cold Warriors. Just as he's saying that, The Cold Warriors are coming out. Snow teases they deployed their secret weapon last night, and brings out Soviet Enygma. She says that they will be unstoppable with Soviet Enygma now under her direction. She has assembled the perfect team of athleticism, brawn, beauty and brains (I can only hope the last two refer to her). To his credit, Justice pulls off the shocked look (as if everyone didn't already know that it wasn't Enygma already). Enygma looks at him, then turns around and walks out. Justice looks like he's trying to explain the situaiton, but to no avail.

The McWades Get a Measure of Revenge

With Natasha Snow (and her stable) in the ring, Natural Storm comes out to challenge the tag team champions. Unfortunately for them, The McWades attack from behind, leaving them down and out. Natasha Snow laughs at Natural Storm as she leads her stable up the ramp, leading up to a commercial.

Sam Strong Welcomes Amber Allen

Coming back from commercial, Sam Strong is in his office talking to the newest member of the USPW Women's Division Amber Allen. It's a fairly standard segment, with Strong welcoming her to the company, telling her he'd had his eye on her ever since he started at looking to expand the division. Nice little fluff piece...but when is she in action?

T-Rex & ??? vs D.O.A. (Skull & Bones w/ Anarchy)

We go to the ring next, where Anarchy is boasting about how they put T-Rex away for good last night, showing that not only does D.O.A. have the brawn, they also have the brains, knowing when to strike to make the biggest impact. As he continues, the rumbling of a motorcycle is heard, and out from behind the curtain comes T-Rex! He's sitting on his motorcycle at the top of the ramp, off to the side. He glares at Anarchy and D.O.A., before grinning and looking towards the back. As if on cue, the rumble of a second motorcycle is heard, fast approaching. A large, bald, bearded individual is riding this bike. None too happy, T-Rex and his partner mean business!

T-Rex introduces his partner as Sam Crowe (presumably the partner he was meant to have last night - a new look Findlay O'Farraday). They ride down the ramp, and circle the ring before getting off their bikes. As they get in the ring, Anarchy is livid and directs D.O.A. to attack. The ref calls for the bell, and it looks like we have a match!

T-Rex and Crowe seem to be in sync early on, not letting D.O.A. mount much of an offense. With the help of Anarchy, they're able to mount a comeback, but in the end, T-Rex applied the Jurassic Crush on Skull. As Bones tried to rush in, Crowe leveled him with a vicious clothesline. Anarchy looks defeated, thinking twice about getting in the ring. He calls back his team after the match is over. It looks as though T-Rex may have just evened the odds.

Shane Sneer Promo

We go backstage where we see Shane Sneer in the locker room He says that Remo may have won last night against Danny Rushmore, but there's still a few members of the Corporation he has at his disposal, like Mick Muscles, Jumbo Jackson and let's not forget Bruce The Giant. Call me crazy, but short of Sneer using the numbers game, Remo might still come out victorious regardless of opponent.

A Strong Meeting

A Strong family reunion is taking place in Sam Strong's office, with Alicia trying to figure out what exactly happened last night against Cherry Bomb. Sam tells her that she should take some time to regroup, before deciding on what she wants to do about the title situation. He then tells Erik that he will make his in-ring debut next week.

USPW National Title

Masked Stranger vs Darryl Devine ©

We move back to the ring, where Darryl Devine is about to defend his USPW National Title. He grabs a microphone and says that he's a true fighting champion. But rather than look to take the easy way out, like Caulfield did earlier on taking on outsiders, Devine classifies himself as someone who is granting opportunities. And tonight, the opportunity belongs to...Masked Stranger.

The announcers say they don't know much about him. McQueen is quick to add that if Devine thought he was worthy of a title shot, he must be one heck of a competitor (a comment that Jillefski scoffs at).

Devine is playing games with Masked Stranger early on in the match. Masked Stranger shows that he could be a great competitor down the line, but it's not his time yet. Devine finishes him off with a Devine Dream Drop, making defense number 3 of his USPW National title.

Roger Cage with The Chosen Ones

Roger Cage is backstage with The Chosen Ones and Charlie Thatcher. He thanks Casey for being able to pull of the plan they had hatched. Peter for his part seems annoyed that he wasn't the one involved - more exactly, he seems to be telling Casey Valentine that he didn't know about this plan. Thatcher pulls him back, and Peter seems to fall in line with the group. A little tension perhaps? It is surprising that it's not Casey Valentine who took the reins though.

The Force vs Soviet Enygma

The Force comes out to the ring and says that he can't believe how people turned their backs on Enygma, and he decides to call out Soviet Enygma. Soviet Enygma comes out and he seems ready to fight. Looks like we have our semi-main event. Soviet Enygma does a great job of getting the crowd behind The Force (The Force was in control early on), the crowd going crazy as he tried to unmask Soviet Enygma. This seemed to get Soviet Enygma going, and he started to take control of the match again. And even though it's clear that it's not the Enygma who has been in USPW for a few years now, he's adopting the mannerisms as a way of taunting the crowd. In the end, he used the Enygma Variation to force a submission.

James Justice Challenges Tyson Baine

After the break, Tyson Baine comes down to the ring. He says that what everyone saw last night is a glimpse of how far he'll go to retain this title. Not only has he shown how evil he can be, but they can look forward to a long title reign by him. He saw an opportunity when Justice was duped by the reveal of Soviet Enygma, and he decided to take advantage of that. How does anyone expect to beat him when he's that cold and calculating? He doesn't let his emotions get in the way like James Justice.

This brings out James Justice who seems to brush aside the Enygma situation we saw earlier - something Baine is smart enough to bring up. When Justice demands a rematch, this time one on one, Baine decides to give it to him, but not before warning him - when he's standing over him at the end of Super Summer Bash next month, who is going to come to his rescue?

Nicky Champion vs Andre Jones

The announcers are abuzz about the title match being set for next month as the competitors are being announced for our main event. The spotlight is on Andre Jones tonight, as he takes on former USPW World Champion Nicky Champion. He tells the fans on the way down that Nicky will be another notch on his belt, on the long list of champions he's already beat. The crowd erupts as Nicky Champion makes his way out from the back. Running Wolf and Ace Youngblood come out with him, but Nicky Champion talks them both out of it, sending them back. Apparently he wants to have an even fight.

Nicky Champion continues to be the standard bearer for USPW, as he and Andre Jones have the MOTN. Jones does a good job of showcasing his skills against the face of USPW, and Nicky Champion does his part in making Jones look good out there. The match is very even, with Jones controlling the first half of the match, and Champion making a comeback in the second half. It looks like Jones is about to take momentum back by hitting The Blast From the Past, but Champion is holding on to the ropes! He uses a clothesline on Jones to set him up for the Hawkeye Hammer. The ref counts the pin, but doesn't notice Andre Jones had his foot under the ropes. Jones is livid and getting in the referee's face as the announcers inform us that we are out of time!

News & Notes

-This week's edition of USPW All Star Wrestling received a 7.44 TV rating, down from last week's 7.55.

-There were reports leading into the PPV that USPW management was thinking of bringing Atlas back from GCW:TX (as "Big Dog" Josh Nash) as T-Rex's partner - clearly scrambling in the wake of Findlay O'Farraday not being to debut in time. However, they were told by the trainers that he is "improving by leaps and bounds." Rather than sacrifice that for the short term, they are leaving him in Texas for the time being. This can only mean good things when he is eventually called up.

-There are two big names from TCW who are set to debut in the very near future. USPW decided to swoop in just before TCW changes their mind and begins offering written contracts again. No word yet on whether they are planning a TCW Invasion angle, or if these two will face off against each other at some point shortly after their debut.

Is this an Invasion?

We kick off the show with Emily McQueen running down the card, highlighted by Chris Caulfield putting the USPW Television Title on the line against Roger Cage, and Remo Richardson going one on one against Soviet Enygma. As Jillefski is about to give his opinion, his microphone cuts out. He can be seen arguing with someone in the production truck through his headset when up on the video screen...

It's Wolf Hawkins! And he's got a title belt slung across his shoulder. Dressed impeccably, he makes quite an impression. He says that most people here might not be familiar with him - they are obviously more interested in Giants, Native Americans, and people who are trying to hang on to past glory for far too long. He, on the other hand, is a REAL World Champion, a true athlete. He says he's on a mission to bring about change in USPW.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament - Round 2

Elliot Thomas vs Marc Speed

With the crowd still stunned by what they just saw, Marc Speed and Elliot Thomas have a hard time getting them into the match. But it's due to the quality of the action in the ring. Speed continues to impress, as he keeps Elliot Thomas grounded, then focusing on his arm, to set up the submission. In the end, once he locked in the Cross Armbreaker, Elliot Thomas was quick to tap. He would live to wrestle another day, but falling into the Loser's bracket of the Tournament.

Sam Strong Backstage

We go backstage, where Sam Strong is on his phone. From the sounds of it, he's on the phone with lawyers, asking them how this could happen. He says he's going to call "him" to find out what this means.

Erik Strong vs Peter Valentine

Erik Strong is making his in-ring debut for USPW this week, against none other than Peter Valentine. Strong is smaller than Valentine, but far more agile. He's able to get some offense in, before Valentine resorts to heel tactics to take control. With Casey Valentine and Charlie Thatcher on the outside, Erik has some long odds in his first match. Casey is distracting the ref when Thatcher gets on the ring apron. Valentine Irish whips Strong towards Thatcher, but Strong reverses it. Thatcher's knee catches Valentine on the back. Grimacing, Valentine turns around to argue with Thatcher. This gives Strong the opportunity to roll him up for the pin. Curiously, Casey didn't do more to stop that once the ref went for the three count.

Justice Will Prevail

James Justice is backstage cutting a promo. He says at Super Summer Bash "JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL" - one on one, with no distractions, Justice is confident he is the better the man. I don't buy the tough guy act from the Dude, but if that's what he has to do to get up for the match...

James Hernandez & Kevin Glenn vs The McWade Brothers (w/ Mountie Mann)

The next match of the night is the McWade Brothers taking on the team of James Hernandez & Kevin Glenn. The McWades seemingly have every advantage in the tale of the tape, but Hernandez & Glenn manage to mount some offense. As Dean McWade is getting ready to finish off KC Glenn, Natural Storm make their way down to the ring. This causes a distraction for the McWade Brothers - Dean McWade falls prey to a Tune Up The Sunshine Band as Dallas McWade and Mountie Mann are busy with Natural Storm.

Who is Amber Allen?

Belle Bryden is backstage with Brooke Tyler, where she is cutting a promo. Bryden says that even though she might not hold the USPW Women's Title right now, she's still the standard bearer of the Women's Division. And for people like Amber Allen to be getting any sort of attention is ludicrous - she hasn't accomplished anything in USPW. In fact, when she's done with Amber Allen, the attention will be on more deserving members of the Women's Division.

Anarchy & The D.O.A. are 'refocusing'

Anarchy is back at the motorcycle club, with Skull & Bones at his side. He says that the situation with T-Rex isn't done by a long shot, but they are stepping back and refocusing. He says they have other targets to pursue, but tells T-Rex & Crowe that when they least expect it, they'll strike again. After all, he warns T-Rex, nobody saw their first attack coming, and they managed to hold the upperhand. Anarchy does a great job of painting the D.O.A. as simply looking at other opportunities, not cowering from T-Rex & Crowe.

Alicia Strong & Joanne Rodriguez vs Cherry Bomb & Gorgon

In the next match, we had the team of Alicia Strong and Joanne Rodriguez taking on Cherry Bomb & Gorgon. The main story of the match was Cherry Bomb not wanting to get in the ring with Alicia Strong. So whenever Strong was in the ring, it was Gorgon going up against her. The team of Cherry Bomb & Gorgon were in control late, before Rodriguez made the hot tag to Strong. This prompted Cherry Bomb to tag out, with Gorgon falling to the Strong Arm Tactic.

T-Rex & Samuel Crowe Interview

T-Rex & Crowe are backstage, and they say that anybody can see that the D.O.A. are cowards who hide behind numbers. Now that the sides are even, they want no part of conflict. He adds that when the D.O.A. decide to show their face again, they will be ready for them - maybe driving them out of USPW for good.

USPW Television Title

Chris Caulfield © vs Roger Cage

Next up, Chris Caulfield defends his USPW Television Title against Roger Cage. It's curious to note that Cage comes to the ring by himself, so it is a straight up one on one match against Chris Caulfield. And despite giving him trouble, Caulfield is able to put him away with a Danger Drop. That's not to say that Roger Cage was outmatched. It probably says more that Freddie Datsun is on the decline, given the results in recent weeks. Cage looks like he will get to the top of USPW at some point, but he's not there yet.

As soon as the bell rings to announce Caulfield as the winner, Charlie Thatcher hits the ring and destroys Caulfield. I'll be interested to see if they're building Thatcher up to contend for the Television Title, or if it just means they're trying to somehow involve Valentine & Co with people at the top of the card (like Caulfield).

Sneer & Natasha Snow Have a Meeting

We go backstage, and the cameras catch Shane Sneer handing Natasha Snow an envelope. She opens it up and peeks inside, and tells Sneer that since he held up his end of the bargain, the Sneer Corporation has her full support.

Nicky Champion Hypes Youngblood & Running Wolf

As the announcers wonder what this could mean, we are taken to Nicky Champion's locker room. He formally introduces Ace Youngblood, and says that he will be teaming up with Running Wolf. He hopes that under his guidance, Youngblood & Running Wolf will climb to the top of the mountain in the USPW Tag Team Ranks. Next week, they will be taking on The McWade Brothers.

Remo Richardson vs Soviet Enygma (w/Natasha Snow)

The crowd is buzzing for the main event, with Remo (currently undefeated) and Soviet Enygma going one on one. This is Soviet Enygma's first big opponent, and Remo has been running roughshod over anyone in his path, particularly the Sneer Corporation. The match started off with Soviet Enygma in control, until Remo is able to get some momentum by powering out of a submission hold. And once Remo gets going, it's tough to stop him. As he looks ready to put Soviet Enygma away, The Cold Warriors crash the party and attack Remo. The result is a DQ win for Remo, but he looks like he is in big trouble.

After the match...

The assault continues with The Cold Warriors taking their shots at Remo, with Natasha Snow directing them from the outside. Things are getting out of hand until Savage Fury make the save. It looks like they plan to be a thorn on the side of The Cold Warriors until they get a title shot. We'll have to see if this changes anything in the Tag Team Division, or if The Cold Warriors will refuse to add Savage Fury to the match at USPW Super Summer Bash.

News & Notes

USPW All Star Wrestling received a 7.34 TV Rating. This is down 0.10 from last week.

There are rumors swirling about with regards to the appearance by Wolf Hawkins. One possible reason is USPW signing a working agreement with USPW, with an eye at possibly co-promoting events. This, of course, begs the question: who is going to join him?

USPW is looking to get a B-Show to more accurately provide an environment to develop the younger talent that is not ready for the big stage. While they have opened a second developmental territory (GCW: Florida - focusing on high fliers), they would like to give this talent a weekly platform. If this happens at some point, expect this show to have a couple of matches on the monthly pay-per-views.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 2 June 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results fronm USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 17, 459 people at WA KeyArena and is being show live on USA Sports 1.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

American Patriot vs Cameron Vessey

The #1 Contender Tournament for the USPW Television Title continues with American Patriot taking on Cameron Vessey. The action continues to be solid - more than can be said about the average USPW match in the last few years. And given the fact that these two wrestlers worked together in MAW, it's not surprising that they have a solid foundation. American Patriot continues to improve the perception that he's going to be a major player in the tournament. After all, he's a Patriot in USPW, he's got the look, and there is room to grow. After an Inverted Piledriver, it's obvious that American Patriot might just be the biggest roadblock in the way of Marc Speed.

Wolf Hawkins is in the Building

As the announcers talk about the rest of the night, the cameras pick up a commotion in the crowd as a fan makes his way to his seat. This fan is none other than Wolf Hawkins. He ignores the taunting by the USPW faithful, blocking them out. In fact, when one of the other fans tries to get too close, he is removed by security. As Jillefski wonders why Hawkins is here, Hawkins calmly produces a ticket and flashes his smile. If this is indeed a war, it's certainly a very civilized one.

Amber Allen vs Brooke Tyler

Amber Allen makes her USPW in-ring debut against Belle Bryden's protege, Brooke Tyler. It's a shame they aren't given more time, because the action was pretty good. Surprisingly (disappointingly?), Belle Bryden doesn't make her presence felt in this match, instead letting Brooke Tyler prove her worth. The more experienced Allen takes the win with a Northern Lights Suplex.

Cherry Bomb Promo

Cherry Bomb is backstage, pacing back and forth befor she notices the camera. With a sadistic smile, she addresses Alicia Strong saying that at USPS Beach Blast, she showed the world she could take Alicia Strong apart. At USPW Super Summer Bash, she will do it again AND take the title away from her.

Mountie Mann Vows Revenge

After the commercial break, we go backstage again. Mountie Mann is fuming and says that last week, Natural Storm stuck their noses in the McWade Brothers' business, and that's a terrible move. Everybody out there knows that there's no way The McWade Brothers would have lost last week if it hadn't been for that. So tonight, they're going to take out their frustrations on Running Wolf & Ace Youngblood.

Running Wolf & Ace Youngblood vs The McWade Brothers (w/ Mountie Mann)

The McWade Brothers are able to avenge last week's loss, taking out their frustrations on Running Wolf & Youngblood. The match was even throughout, but the outcome is influenced (slightly) by Darryl Devine's involvement. With Dean McWade putting Ace Youngblood down with a Canadian Lariat, Running Wolf is unable to make the save after Darryl Devine comes to ringside and pulls him down from the apron.

Darryl Devine Taunts Running Wolf

Devine leaves ringside after the bell rings, declaring The McWade Brothers the winners. As Running Wolf goes into the ring to check on Youngblood, Devine gets a microphone. On his way back up the ramp, while still facing the ring, Devine calls out Running Wolf. He says that just like he did with Masked Stranger and The Force before, he will give Running Wolf the honor of being in the same ring with the USPW National champion at USPW Super Summer Bash.

Strong Family Meeting

We go backstage, where Sam Strong is talking with Alicia & Erik Strong. He's putting them over (while not downplaying their opponents). Towards the end of the segment, Sam Strong gets a phone call. We can only assume it's with regards to the Wolf Hawkins situation.

Erik Strong vs Roger Cage

The next match is Roger Cage taking on Erik Strong. It's interesting to see how Roger Cage has rocketed up the card since his debut. The same can't be said about Erik Strong, at least yet. It could also be the fans taking to Cage more than they have taken to "Sam Strong's son" Erik Strong. The match itself is good, but it doesn't get much heat from the crowd. After a good back and forth between the two, Roger Cage picks up the win after a Cage Rage.

But that's not where this ends. In fact, as Cage is leaving the ring, out comes Charlie Thatcher from the back! Cage is laughing as he goes up the ramp and Thatcher enters the ring. He takes the fight directly to Strong, using his size to gain control. That's when Chris Caulfield comes out to the ring with a chair. He hits Thatcher once, and Thatcher is smart enough to roll out of the ring. The segment ends with Caulfield helping Strong up, as Thatcher makes his way back up the ramp.

Anarchy & The D.O.A. Acquire a New Target

Anarchy is backstage, flanked by Skull & Bones. He says that they haven't forgotten about T-Rex and Crowe, but he's decided that there is a new target for the group: Nicky Champion & his tribe.

Nicky Champion vs Bones (w/ Skull & Anarchy)

Making good on the promo we just saw, Bones takes on Nicky Champion in one on one action. Kudos to USPW management for finding guys that can go in the ring and staying true to the spirit of the promotion. And Nicky continues to be red hot, where Bones being included in the match only brought it down to average heat. But what's interesting is that when Skull tries to interfere, Anarchy doesn't let him! This goes unnoticed by Bones in the ring. Maybe if Skull had interfered, Nicky Champion would not have hit the Hawkeye Hammer for the victory.

Andre Jones Finds Himself Some Reinforcements

Coming back from commercials, Andre Jones is talking with two intimidating looking African Americans (if you follow garbage wrestling, you'll recognize them as Frantic Ali and Lil Henry), but he introduces them as Ali X & Mack. Jones says everyone around here seems to be getting themselves some back up. He's not a coward like Nicky Champion, he's simply evening the odds ahead of their next match up.

The Sneer Corporation Promo

We go from one newly formed stable, to one that's looking to turn things around in the Sneer Corporation. Shane Sneer says that the strategic partnership between his Corporation and the The Cold Warriors is only business. He says that anyone who is going up against Remo Richardson is a friend of The Sneer Corporation. These next few weeks, he will make sure Remo is weakened - and when he faces Mick Muscles, The Corporation will come out on top!

Remo Richardson & Natural Storm vs Soviet Enygma & The Cold Warriors (w/ Natasha Snow)

Following last week's result, Soviet Enygma is teaming up with The Cold Warriors as they take on Remo & Natural Storm. I think it's a good idea to showcase the tag teams in this match, especially with the high profile names involved. Soviet Enygma starts off against Howard, but when Remo gets tagged in, Soviet Enygma tags Karloff in. Remo takes control of the match from the moment he gets in the ring, but The Cold Warriors are able to cut the ring in half. With Remo in the wrong side of that, and Soviet Enygma constantly interfering, Natasha Snow's charges maintain the upperhand.

Once Rayne is tagged in, the tide turns in favor of the faces. Natural Storm put their experience on display (and put the champions on notice) in this match. Unfortunately, chaos erupts outside the ring as Howard goes for a high risk maneuver, and Novak catches him by the throat and puts him down with a Choke Slam for the win.

Savage Fury Makes the Save

Much like last week, Savage Fury make their presence felt, with Natasha Snow's team retreating - five on three are not good odds.

USPW All Star Wrestling (Monday Week 3 June 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/AllStarWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW All Star Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 18,345 people at IN Bankers Life Fieldhouse and is being shown live on USA Sports 1.

Sam Strong Promo

Sam Strong comes out to open the show. In the opening promo, he touches on a few subjects, like Wolf Hawkins having been in attendance the last couple of weeks & Tyson Baine's upcoming title match against James Justice at the PPV. With respect to Hawkins, he says that he will not allow any disruptions to the show - he is not under contract, so he will not be able to compete.

Chris Caulfield & Erik Strong vs Roger Cage & Peter Valentine

The opening match of the night is Television champion Chris Caulfield teaming up with Erik Strong taking on Roger Cage & Peter Valentine. Cage continues to stand above everyone in the match, with the exception of Caulfield. We're not exactly able to see this, since Cage tags out when Caulfield tags in. It's Caulfield who takes control of the match against Peter Valentine, and as if to make a point, he tags Erik Strong. Cage tries to interfere, but the referee stops him. It's during this time that Erik Strong hits the Strong Sault. The argument ends just in time for the referee to count the pin on Peter Valentine.

USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament

Hector Galindo vs Cameron Vessey

Cameron Vessey makes his way to the ring after the commercial break for his match against Hector Galindo in the Television Title #1 Contender Tournament. Galindo's music plays, but he doesn't come out. His music starts again, and he still doesn't show. The announcers tell us they are getting word of an incident backstage - when the video comes up on the big screen, we see Charlie Thatcher attacking Galindo. The attack is vicious and Galindo is left on the ground.

T-Rex & Samuel Crowe vs Cameron Vessey & Casey Valentine

Vessey, accompanied by Casey Valentine, laugh hysterically at what they see, then turn their attention to the referee. They bully him into counting Galindo out. After hesitating, he eventually does. Vessey is overjoyed and begins to celebrate. But that changes when the roar of motorcycles is heard in the arena announcing the arrival of T-Rex & Crowe. Vessey & Valentine try to get out of the ring, but they are caught by the two angry bikers. With the brash youngsters in their grasp, T-Rex looks to the crowd for approval, asking if they want to see a tag team match right now! The crowd goes wild at the suggestion, and the referee rings the bell. While C-V-2 manage to get some offense in, this match is more to showcase T-Rex and Crowe's strength. In the end, Crowe hits an Atomic Spinebuster on Vessey for the pin. The threat of T-Rex coming into the ring is enough to keep Valentine at bay. Vessey does make it to the next round, by virtue of Galindo getting counted out, but he's a little worse for the wear after this encounter.

Natasha Snow Promo with The Cold Warriors & Soviet Enygma

We go backstage, where we see Natasha Snow standing with The Cold Warriors & Soviet Enygma. Natasha Snow speaks first, addressing Savage Fury. She says that The Cold Warriors will NOT give Savage Fury a title shot at the PPV - instead, they will have to earn a title shot. She also warns Java that he should be focused on his opponent tonight instead of hoping for a title shot. As far as Natural Storm is concerned, The Cold Warriors already proved they are superior to them by beating them for the titles before. She says that they plan to put Natural Storm away for good!

Soviet Enygma is with them and gets the microphone from Natasha Snow. He tells the fans that Enygma is a coward, who turned his back on the company at the first sign of trouble. Or perhaps it's just a matter of self preservation, because if Enygma ever returns, he will take his mask as a trophy to Mother Russia.

Java vs Mick Muscles

The next match of the night is Mick Muscles taking on Java. I understand that Java is a legit tough guy, but you'd think Muscles would need more of a test to prepare for Remo has in store. Java isn't bad, but he's not at Remo's level, not by a long shot. What we do see in this match is the action that the USPW fan has come to love - two big guys going at it. Muscles uses all the underhanded tactics in the book, eventually getting the upperhand and hitting a Bulldozer Powerbomb on Java for the win.

Trouble in Paradise

We go backstage, and Alicia Strong is getting ready for her match when Joanne Rodriguez bursts into the room. Rodriguez is furious that her countryman Hector Galindo was taken out of the TV Title #1 Contender Tournament thanks to a sneak attack. She tells Alicia she has to go to her Dad and do something about this, to correct the injustice. Alicia tells Rodriguez that it's out of her hands (perhaps, but I still think Sam could do something). As if on cue, Sam comes in (having heard the argument as he was walking by) and hears the argument being made by Rodriguez. (Un)Surprisingly, he tells her that he cannot go back and change the result of a match in an effort to preserve the integrity of the competition. Personally, I don't buy it - it's not like the match ever happened, so no "outcome" is being reversed. In fact, all Rodriguez was advocating for was a fair shot for Galindo, not a straight reversal of the outcome. Regardless, Sam apologizes and says that his decision is final. Rodriguez storms out, and Alicia is left to find a third member for her team (she's teaming with Amber Allen) in the match against Bryden, Tyler & Cherry Bomb.

Alicia Strong, Melody & Amber Allen vs Cherry Bomb, Belle Bryden & Brooke Tyler

The heels are in the ring first, giving Alicia a few extra moments to find a replacement for Joanne Rodriguez - and she does so, with Melody joining her team. It's an interesting way to keep the women's division relevant - the champ and #1 contender teaming up with some new faces and old foes. Alicia and Cherry Bomb don't share much time in the ring together. In fact, Tyler and Amber Allen put on a decent match. In the end though, it's a Melody Maker on Belle Bryden that ends the match.

Mountie Mann Warns Natural Storm

Mountie Mann is backstage, and he says that Natural Storm made a big mistake when they cost The McWade Brothers the match against Hernandez & Glenn. Mountie then says that that when they least expect it, the cavalry will lay down the law!

Wolf Hawkins Arrives

Coming back from commercial break, we see Wolf Hawkins getting to his seat. Jillefski is particularly furious with this development, saying that he keeps disrupting the show. In my opinion, Jillefski is doing more of that by bringing attention to the fact that Hawkins is there. Hawkins has yet to really make his presence felt, aside from the one interruption caused by his video a few weeks back.

Remo vs Charlie Thatcher

Remo continues to cut a path of destruction in singles competition, preparing for his match against Mick Muscles by taking on Charlie Thatcher. It's a very good match (by Charlie Thatcher standards), and I guess it's about as good a fill in for Muscles as you can find on short notice. Thatcher keeps the match competitive, but Remo pulls off The Destroyer (quite a sight on someone as big as Thatcher) and that's more than enough for the victory.

Darryl Devine Promo

Darryl Devine is backstage, and he has a microphone. He says that it's obvious that Chris Caulfield is dodging him, but he's going to make sure he takes notice sooner or later. He's going to put his USPW National Title on the line against Running Wolf at USPW Super Summer Bash and guarantees a victory. He then says that he'd be willing to put his title on the line for a shot at Chris Caulfield.

Shane Sneer Promo

The announcers briefly talk about what a match that would be (Television Title vs National Title) and what it would mean for the winner - do they defend both belts? - before sending it to the back where Shane Sneer is standing with The Sneer Corporation. Sneer says that tonight Mick Muscles was victorious (convincingly), and coming up next, Danny Rushmore will get back on the right side of the win column by beating Nicky Champion. He also warns Remo that he has no shot at winning this Sunday!

Nicky Champion vs Danny Rushmore

The main event of the evening is Nicky Champion taking on Danny Rushmore. Not sure how much credit Rushmore can take for the match, but it was a great match (one of the better TV matches in USPW this year). It does appear that Rushmore rises to the challenge when going up against top tier talent. Well, either that or Remo and Nicky Champion have been able to carry him which speaks volumes anyway. Nicky Champion comes out victorious after a Hawkeye Hammer despite The Sneer Corporation doing their best to disrupt the match.

James Justice & Wolf Hawkins Confrontation

In something that isn't seen too often in USPW, there is a major segment after a clean finish to the main event. James Justice comes out to the ring with a microphone and says that this Sunday, he's going to beat Tyson Baine for the USPW World Title. Apparently, whatever reaction Wolf Hawkins made got his attention, because Justice stopped mid promo to address him. He tells Wolf that he helped build that company 'out west' but moved on after he'd accomplished everything there was. Hawkins continues to goad him, to the point where James Justice invites him into the ring. Security tries to stop him, but Justice tells them to back off - he's letting him come in.

Once in the ring, he tries to get a few words in, but Justice keeps cutting him off much to the crowd's delight. Hawkins seems to be getting frustrated, and takes off his jacket, getting in Justice's face. Toe to toe, Hawkins looks ready to strike. They start circling each other, when Baine comes out from under the ring apron and attacks Justice from behind. Hawkins is quick to get out of the ring, but taunts the crowd by pointing to his brain. He knows better than to get in the ring with Baine (or Baine and Justice) at this particular moment.

Baine takes control of the altercation from the beginning (a sneak attack will do that for you), hitting two devastating Hades Bombs on Justice. Baine gives Hawkins a cursory glance, but is more interested in punishing Justice. As the show comes to an end, Baine is standing tall, title in the air, as he taunts James Justice!

News & Notes

*USPW All Star Wrestling received a 7.74 rating (up 0.06 from last week) on the go home show before the PPV.

*USPW is extremely pleased with how Atlas has been developing in GCW: TX - he's perhaps the most improved worker down there. Dusty Ducont has also done well for himself, but he's not nearly where they would like him to be.

*USPW might release talent they have in developmental that aren't improving to the point they'd hope - not to say that they wouldn't be fine additions to smaller companies, but they don't fit the overall scheme USPW is going for.

*The USPW Super Summer Bash PPV is this Sunday, and this is the card:

-Ace Youngblood vs Soviet Enygma (w/ Natasha Snow)

-Amber Allen & Melody vs Belle Bryden & Brooke Tyler

-Hernandez & Glenn vs The Disciples of Anarchy

-Freddie Datsun, The Force & Erik Strong vs Andre Jones, Ali X & Mack

-Natural Storm vs The Cold Warriors © (w/ Natasha Snow)

-Elliot Thomas vs Kirk Jameson (Loser Goes Home - USPW Television Title #1 Contender Tournament)

-Alicia Strong © vs Cherry Bomb (USPW Women's Title)

-Running Wolf vs Darryl Devine © (USPW National Title)

-Remo vs Mick Muscles

-James Justice vs Tyson Baine © (USPW World Title)
