Current Storylines:

To Hell & Back

The Christmas episode of 'USPW American Wrestling' should have been a time for celebration but Tyson Baine (a noted grinch) had other ideas and sent Nicky Champion to hospital via a sneak attack and a shocking fireball to the face. Promising to take the champ "to Hell and back," Champion's nemesis has raised the stakes once again.

Started: December 2012

Analysis: Nicky Champion and Baine are revisiting the feud they started back in May of 2010. The fireball to the face was certainly a way to breathe new life to the feud. But with Baine showing signs of slowing down, how much longer does the feud run? Does Nicky Champion slay "The Demon From The Deep" once and for all? Or could Baine, as a transitional champion, help create a new star?

World War III

A war is brewing in USPW! On one side, the fan favorites of Enygma, James Justice and The Force. On the other, some of the biggest baddest dudes in wrestling: Jumbo Jackson, T-Rex, and The Towers of Power. Neither side is going to back down; who will survive?

Started: November 2012

Analysis: Basically you have the top faces (minus Nicky Champion and Chris Caulfield - who surprisingly has nothing going on) taking on The Sneer Corporation (with 'honorary' member T-Rex. If Nicky Champion comes out on top in his feud against Tyson Baine, it wouldn't surprise me if T-Rex became a full member of The Sneer Corporation to continue the tradition of Shane Sneer leading huge behemoths against the top babyfaces, particularly the champion. The Towers of Power are there by virtue of being in the stable, but are probalby more focused on the World Tag Team Titles. Jackson is coming off a loss to Nicky Champion, so it's good to see him stay involved at the top of the card, and they could be testing a T-Rex run with Sneer. Justice is so charismatic that you just have to find a way to get him involved somehow, and The Force could easily be seen as the fall guy in the group. After all, he seems to bounce back quickly, and his merchandise keeps selling. The bigger question is - Where does Enygma come out on this?

News & Notes

*USPW owner Sam Strong has announced a few changes to the Pay-Per-View lineup. Not only has the schedule been standardized (all PPV events will take place on the third Sunday of every month), but all shows have been re-branded with more serious names. Not much is known about any possible gimmicks attached to the shows, but Strong did say that he was looking to create a new image for the company, while retaining the core values. Wrestling insiders believe that a younger mind is advising Strong.

*USPW have shown interest in extending their reach to Europe, with the United Kingdom their likely first target. This is seen as extremely risky, and perhaps lends some credence to the fact that a younger mind has Strong's ear.

*USPW have an eye on the future, looking to perhaps create a developmental territory. How soon it happens remains to be seen, but Sam Strong said the company wants to have "homegrown" talent, and not simply rely on stars created elsewhere.

American Wrestling (Wedenesday Week 1 January 2013)

These are the results from USPW American Wrestling, being hel by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 12,166 people at RI Dunkin' Donuts Center and is being shown live in Sports America.

Baine, Justice & Sam Strong

We open the show with James Justice in the ring, microphone in hand. He talks about Shane Sneer and the war being waged in USPW between good and evil. But nowhere is this more apparent than in the actions of Tyson Baine on the Christmas episode of American Wrestling.

As if on cue, pyro explodes and Tyson Baine comes out onto the stage. He says he's taking Nicky Champion to hell and back, and if Justice isn't careful, he may just suffer the same fate. Justice is ready to go, inviting Baine to get in the ring. As Baine makes his way down the ramp, Sam Strong appears on the big screen. He says that he was going to suspend Tyson Baine, but Nicky Champion urged him to reconsider. So instead, he'll be in action against James Justice tonight! But if he pulls a similar stunt as last time, he will give up his title shot at USPW New Year's Revolution 2013.

Analysis: Good opening segment that sets up tonight's main event. As for the PPV, USPW has released the list of events for this year. All the information is listed after the review.

USPW Television Title

Tribal Warrior © vs. Freddie Datsun vs. Running Wolf vs. Krusher Karloff

The announcers talk about the upcoming Fatal 4 Way for the USPW Television title, and discuss the odds of the first two participants (Running Wolf and Krusher Karloff) during their entrances. SPOILER ALERT: Not very good. I tend to agree - Running Wolf could be a big star in the future, and Karloff seems better suited for the tag ranks. So does Tribal Warrior for that matter though. I pick Datsun to win.

Then, as Datsun is making his way to the ring, Andre Jones jumps him from behind! Datsun puts up a fight, but ends up eating a piledriver for his efforts. Shockingly, Andre Jones gets in the ring, as if taking Datsun's place.

Ok, I guess Datsun is not winning this one...

The match itself is pretty good, with the occasional spot where heels team up, then turn on each other and faces doing the same. Towards the end of the match, Charlie Thatcher makes his way to the ring, and stands on the apron. Karloff whips Tribal Warrior to the ropes, where Charlie Thatcher gives him a knee to the back. So Thatcher is with Karloff? Karloff rushes over with a devastating clothesline, but Karloff pulls the rope down, and both the Russian and Tribal Warrior stumble to the floor. Meanwhile, Andre Jones hits Running Wolf with The Blast From the Past. The referee hesitates for a moment, wondering how Tribal Warrior and Karloff ended up outside. He finally makes the 3 count.

Analysis: Interesting way to set up a title change. A nice little nod to the history between Tribal Warrior and Charlie Thatcher. Plus, it will give Andre Jones a platform to showcase his talents.

The Year of Peter Valentine

Peter Valentine is backstage, where he says that 2013 will be the year of Peter Valentine. But he can't take any chances - jealous punks like Darryl Devine will be doing everything possible to stop him from achieving his goals. So to make sure the playing field is even, he's gotten himself a bodyguard. The camera pans to the side, and it's Giant Redwood.

Analysis: So you're going to put two of the least talented (and least likeable) characters together? What makes you think this is a good idea?

USPW Women's Title #1 Contender (Semifinal 1)

Alicia Strong vs Cherry Bomb

Pretty standard women's match here. If they really want to push this division, they'll need to expand it. How much can you do with a handful of workers? Alicia Strong picks up the victory with a Strong Arm Tactic, but it was an even match.

Analysis: They really need to expand the division. This almost guarantees a Belle Bryden victory next week, unless they want to go face vs face at the PPV. And I didn't mean to sound negative - this ended up as the second best match of the night.

Persephone tries to interview The Cold Warriors

Persephone approaches The Cold Warriors' locker room, and the door is ajar. She is about to go in, when she hears Petr Novak and Krusher Karloff arguing about something. Novak is visibly upset, but the only thing that was understood was "Natasha" - Karloff was trying to argue, but when "Natasha" was mentioned, he got quiet. In trying to eavesdrop, Persephone leaned into the door too much. Once she was discovered, The Cold Warriors walked over and slammed the door in her face.

We hear Persephone shriek. Did the door hit her? Suddenly, the camera pans over and sees Enygma slumped against the wall. Jumbo Jackson rushes over and continues his assault. It was clearly a sneak attack - Enygma wasn't putting up much of a fight. Jackson surveys the damage and leaves smirking.

Analysis: Good two segments back to back, nice way of blending them in. Hopefully this "Natasha" is a wrestler and not a valet, though The Cold Warriors could use one anyway. As for the Enygma segment, there's other ways for the heels to get heat than sneak attacks, but it worked here. Maybe Novak will get the win due to this. It also points to Jackson vs Enygma at the PPV.

The Force vs The Sneer Corporation

After the break, we come back to The Force, talking about The Sneer Corporation and the cowards they are. He challenges Sneer to find someone to face him at New Year's Revolution...because this will be the beginning of the end for his Corporation!

Analysis: It will be interesting to see who the opponent will be. Jumbo Jackson is taking on Enygma, and The Towers of Power will likely take on Natural Storm. Maybe it will be honorary Sneer Corporation member T-Rex? Hopefully they're a little more creative than that.

Enygma vs Petr Novak

They worked the earlier attack on Enygma by Jumbo Jackson into the match, with Novak able to control most of the match. With Enygma in the corner, Novak went for a big boot, only to miss when Enygma moved out of the way. That proved to be the turning point, as it allowed Enygma to lock in the Enygma Variation for the win.

Analysis: Good job on creative's part to make Novak look like a threat - even if it was due to an earlier attack. We'll have to see if Karloff gets in Novak's face about this loss, like Novak did earlier.

Shane Sneer Calls Out Natural Storm

As if proving The Force's earlier point, Shane Sneer is in the ring and challenges Natural Storm to come out and accept his challenge on behalf of The Towers of Power. At first it seemed like it would be a simple confrontation, Sneer playing the tough guy who normally hides behind the numbers. Oddly enough, he's alone. He even gets to the point of poking Eddie Howard on the chest. When it looks like he's going to get his comeuppance (Eddie Howard had Sneer by his tie), The Towers of Power storm the ring and attack Natural Storm. The damage done, The Towers of Power retreat up the ramp, Sneer gloating, even as he fixes his tie.

Analysis: I was hoping for a double team move by Natural Storm on Shane Sneer...instead, we see the heels get the upper hand in this encounter.

Nicky Champion Interview Via Satellite

We are taken to Nicky Champion's house via satellite. He addresses Strong's earlier claim that he urged him not to suspend Tyson Baine. He says it's true - Baine has made it his mission to take him to hell and back, to the point that when he's done, Nicky Champion will hand the belt over if it means Baine will stop. Suspending him will only fuel that fire. Champion says he needs to fight Baine in order to stop him.

He adds that he's recovering from the fireball and that he'd love to be in Rhode Island tonight...but the doctors haven't cleared him to compete. He says he'll be ready for the Pay Per View in 3 weeks, even if he has to sign a waiver.

Analysis: Interesting motivation for Champion here. Good to see that he's not one to hide behind the Authority (who obviously favors him). It's also interesting that by saying this, he seems to have given Baine carte blanche as far as what he can do - Champion seemingly wants to fight him no matter the cost, to finally vanquish the Demon from the Deep.

James Justice vs Tyson Baine

A good television main event, despite both Justice and Baine having lost a step or two in the ring. Justice still has it though, when it comes to psychology in the ring. In a competitive match, Tyson Baine took the win with some help from T-Rex. As Justice had Baine in position for the Liberation Slam, T-Rex grabbed Justice's foot. This allowed Baine to escape from his predicament and hit the Hades Bomb when Justice turned his attention back to him.

After the bell rings ending the match, Tyson Baine motions for T-Rex to join him in the ring. The beatdown continues, and T-Rex ties Justice up on the ropes. The announcers go crazy saying this is exactly what preceded the fireball to the face of Nicky Champion. Before Baine releases the fireball, the crowd goes crazy, with Nicky Champion rushing down the ramp. Champion outsmarted Baine! The interview was taped! T-Rex takes a chair shot, while Baine is able to escape. Champion unties Justice, The Titans retreating, as Champion helps Justice up.

Analysis: A solid main event, followed by a great closing segment. I loved Nicky Champion outsmarting Tyson Baine. Apparently Danny Jillefski did too, he was going crazy when Champion made the save. Emily McQueen, on the other hand, kept saying how Champion was a liar. He was in Rhode Island all along, and he lied to the fans! It was good to see a twist, with Champion coming out on top in an altercation against the monster.

News & Notes:

*USPW has extended short term contracts to several independent workers and foreign talents. Look for the debuts of JOJI and The Lumberjacks (formerly The Nation of Filth) this week.

*USPW has created the United States Wrestling Alliance (USWA) - a trading alliance with AAA & QAW. This could be seen as a way to get some of their lower level talent some experience, while giving them access to a much bigger talent pool without being tied down to contracts. Some insiders believe that USPW will use this alliance as a way to sample talent, only to poach it sooner rather than later.

*There was no way of knowing that Freddie Datsun would get taken out before the USPW Television Title match last week, so for the purposes of the prediction contest, everyone will be awarded 1 point for that match.

Sam Strong Sets the NYR Main Event

The show opens with Sam Strong coming out onto the stage. After a cheap hometown pop, he makes the announcement that in order to make sure the main event at New Year's Revolution is free from interference, Nicky Champion has requested the match to take place inside a steel cage!

Analysis: Sam Strong did a good job of trying to spin the cage match to be in Champion's favor, but I'm not so sure. Even without The Sneer Corporation interfering, Tyson Baine might make Champion regret that stipulation.

USPW Television Title Match

Andre Jones © vs JOJI

JOJI gets the jobber entrance (he's already in the ring when we come back from break), but the announcers do a decent job of putting him over as a talented youngster. Emily McQueen goes as far as to say that Andre Jones is truly a WORLD Champion – he is taking on all comers, no matter where they come from. Easy Emily, JOJI is just here to bump around for Jones. He does the job he came to do, with Andre Jones picking up the win in just under 6 minutes.

Analysis: It's still to early to figure out whether they are grooming Andre Jones for bigger and better things, or if they saw Tribal Warrior as a better fit in the tag ranks. Either way, I was hoping they would have picked a better challenger for Andre Jones' first defense. The crowd couldn't care less about JOJI. But a win is a win, right?

The Sneer Corporation Gains a New Member

Shane Sneer is in the ring, when The Force comes out. The Force says that Sneer proved he's nothing but a coward last week, with the Corporation attacking Enygma and Natural Storm from behind, and T-Rex interfering in the main event. Sneer says that The Force should mind his own business, but if he's itching for a fight that bad, he'll be more than glad to debut the latest addition to his Corporation...but not until the PPV. Tha announcers are left speculating who the new member might be.

Analysis: I was almost expecting a sneak attack on The Force in this segment, especially with how last week turned out. Glad to see they didn't go that route. So they've set the match for the PPV, even if we only know one half of the equation.

USPW World Tag Team Match

Natural Storm © vs The Lumberjacks (Lumberjack Jeff & Lumberjack Terry)

Hey, it's The Nation of Filth in flannel! These guys fit right in with USPW right now. Big guys, their name value gained elsewhere...perfect for a short feud with Natural Storm. The match itself was far from terrible (better than the Television Title match at least). But the live crowd didn't respond too well to The Lumberjacks, to the point that the Storm Damage on Lumberjack Jeff only elicited a minor pop.

Analysis: It seems as though USPW overestimated the impact The Lumberjacks would have. I think a non-title match might have been more suspenseful...I could see The Towers of Power interfering in that match, costing Natural Storm the match. But there's no way creative would have put the belts on a team off the scrap heap in their first match.

Belle Bryden Promo

Belle Bryden is backstage, where she's hyping her match against Raven Robinson. She says that she's in search of her first title since late 2011...it's been too long, and she won't pass up her opportunity.

Analysis: Has it really been that long since Bryden has held the title? I guess it has...You have to hand it to her – she'd make a great champion right now. She can still go in the ring, and she can talk. It would give the division a little versatility. I mean, we're 2 weeks away from the PPV and the Women's Champion hasn't made an appearance.

From a Dark Corner in the Arena...

After the break, we cut to Enygma in a dark corner of the arena. He says that Jumbo Jackson may have surprised him last week, but that it won't happen again. And from now on, Jackson should watch his back, since you never know when The Mysterious One will strike.

Analysis: So Enygma decides to retaliate (sort of) after last week's attack. I would have preferred to see something happen tonight – if not, you have one more show to do something to even out the sides in their feud. The night is young, so maybe something will happen...

USPW Women's Title #1 Contender (Semifinal 2)

Belle Bryden vs Raven Robinson

The two ladies were given the responsibility of being the semi-main event on television...and they did not disappoint. Bryden and Robinson seemed to be trying to one up not only each other, but also last week's women's match (I think they did, barely). Belle Bryden picked up the win with a Dish of The Day.

Analysis: In a very predictable contest, Belle Bryden picked up the win, setting up the match with Alicia Strong for a shot at Melody's title at the PPV.

Savage Fury Promo

Savage Fury are backstage cutting a promo. Java says that Peter Valentine seems determined to recapture the USPW National Title - and after what we saw last week (Charlie Thatcher interfering and costing Tribal Warrior the USPW Television Title) he will have to keep a close eye on Giant Redwood to make sure he keeps his title.

Analysis: I would have liked to have seen some reaction from Tribal Warrior towards Charlie Thatcher after he cost him the USPW Television Title last week. Then again, maybe Andre Jones would have won even if Thatcher hadn't interfered.

The announcers talk about how dangerous Peter Valentine is, especially with Giant Redwood at his side (really guys?) before they send it backstage for a promo by Alicia Strong.

Alicia Strong Promo

Now knowing who her opponent will be next week, Alicia Strong says that she will be ready for whatever Belle Bryden has in store for her.

Analysis: A very vanilla promo by Alicia Strong, I was expecting a little better. Regardless, it drums up a little interest in their match next week to see who faces Melody at New Year's Revolution. I'd be happy with either one, but I can't imagine USPW going face vs face at the PPV. Maybe Melody turns if Alicia wins?

Persephone tries to interview The Cold Warriors (Again)

Much like last week, Persephone is backstage trying to get a word with The Cold Warriors. And once again, we find them speaking in Russian. Karloff is getting in Novak's face, presumably about his loss to Enygma last week, mentioning Natasha. This time, it's Novak who notices Persephone and makes quick work of intimidating her out of their dressing room.

Analysis: No word on who Natasha is yet, or when she debuts. Can't imagine they'll carry these segments on too long...who understands Russian anyway?

Nicky Champion Hypes PPV Match

Nicky Champion is in his dressing room, getting ready for his match against T-Rex. He says Baine might be bigger (um, he is bigger than you Nicky!), but he outsmarted him last week. No matter what Baine does to him, Champion won't turn away, he won't back down.

Analysis: Hopefully Nicky Champion isn't overlooking T-Rex. Especially with this being a Non-Title Match, The Jurassic Power might be content with simply brutalizing him.

Non Title Match

Nicky Champion vs T-Rex

Given the competition, Nicky Champion did a masterful job of putting on a watchable match (the chemistry they showed certainly helped). The match was still young, and T-Rex had dominated for the most part, when seemingly out of nowhere, Nicky Champion hit the Hawkeye Hammer. The crowd erupts, when suddenly...we hear Tyson Baine's evil laugh, and he appears on the big screen. He tells Nicky Champion that the pain he will put him through will not only be physical, it will also be mental. The camera pans to show he is standing outside Sam Strong's office. With one swift quick, he breaks the door down (who is going to pay for that?!?!). He takes Sam Strong by surprise, and attacks him in the office. He grabs Strong by the arm and drags him out onto the stage.

Seeing his mentor in danger, Nicky Champion completely forgets about the match with T-Rex and takes off trying to save him. Halfway up the ramp, T-Rex (having had time to recover from the Hawkeye Hammer) clotheslines Champion from behind. As Champion and T-Rex brawl up the ramp, Baine teases throwing Strong off the stage! Champion makes it to the top of the ramp and puts up a valiant effort, until he's overcome by numbers - first T-Rex, then The Towers of Power. As the show draws to a close, The Force, Enygma, and James Justice come to even out the numbers. As the heels retreat, The Force, Enygma and Justice ward them off as Champion checks on Strong.

For those keeping score at home, the Nicky Champion vs T-Rex match ended in a draw due to a double count out...

Analysis: Very creative way of ending the show, combining some of the bigger storylines in the last couple of segments. Champion shows he's the honorable face, trying to protect his mentor, while Baine is playing the unscrupulous heel perfectly. Would have liked to have seen Natural Storm come out to face The Towers of Power, but Enygma, The Force and Justice are directly involved against The Sneer Corporation, so I'll let that slide.

News & Notes

*American Wrestling received a 3.14 television rating (up from last week's 3.12).

*After the show, Petr Novak tested positive for steroids. Our sources tell us management will not be punishing him, as Novak (sincerely) said he'd try to stay clean moving forward. Hopefully he does not squander this opportunity, as some in management think he could still grow to be a great asset for the company.

Andre Jones©vs El Mitico, Jr

Hmm.. Potential Main Eventer versus 0 Pop in US. Yeah, I'm going with Andre.

USPW Women's #1 Contender

Alicia Strong vs Belle Bryden

Could totally see an Alicia-Turning swerve here... Bryden is the safe pick, and I'm sticking to my guns.

Chris Caulfield vs Jumbo Jackson

Jackson needs momentum going into his battle with Enygma. Should be a great Main Event on PPV.

James Justice vs T-Rex

Justice gets a victory here over Tyranny, but T-Rex gets "Revenge" post match.

American Wrestling (Wednesday Week 3 January 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/PPV%20Events/AmericanWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW Ameican Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 12,989 people at TX Reed Arena and is being shown live on Sports America.

A Strong Introduction

Sam Strong comes out and thanks the great fans of College Station, Texas for coming out and supporting USPW. He says that although Nicky Champion and Tyson Baine will not be in action in preparation for their match this Sunday on Pay-Per-View (this gets a small chorus of boos), he says they have a great show planned. He says that the #1 Contender for the Women's Title will be decided tonight, when Alicia Strong takes on Belle Bryden, "The Hardcore American" Chris Caulfield will be taking on Jumbo Jackson, and James Justice will be taking on T-Rex. It's safe to say James Justice got the biggest reaction in that promo.

The MVP of USPW

As Strong goes to the back, he crosses paths with USPW Television champion Andre Jones. They trade words, though it seemed that Jones was the angrier of the two. Trying to get a reaction from Strong, he mocked him getting hurt last week at the hands of Tyson Baine. Surprisingly (or maybe not), Strong didn't really pay much mind to Jones. When Jones got in the ring, he grabbed a microphone.

He says that he couldn't help but notice how in Strong's little introduction, he was not mentioned. He's the Television champion! In fact, he's the only champion on the card! Everybody here came to see him - I guess here in USPW they put the main event first.

USPW Television Title

Andre Jones © vs El Mitico Jr

Ah, yes...Andre Jones, the master of hyperbole. Sure, he's the only champion on the card. But there's past World Champions on the card. And a main event this is not. In fact, it was probably put first on the card for a reason. El Mitico Jr was basically brought out to job to Jones, and pad his record. And if El Mitico Jr had been a little more motivated, the match would have probably turned out a little better. In the end, Andre Jones got the win with a Blast From The Past.

USPW National Title Promos

Peter Valentine is backstage, with Giant Redwood looking on menacingly behind him. It's truly incredible how a giant lump can look truly intimidating, and then you realize he moves like your grandfather. Kudos to the booking team for keeping him out of the ring thus far. As far as the promo, Valentine says that this Sunday, the USPW National Title will come back to its rightful owner - and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

The announcers send it back to Savage Fury, namely Java to respond to the comments we just heard from Peter Valentine. Java says that this Sunday, the title is staying where it is - around his waist. Tribal Warrior is pacing back and forth, and interjects that if Giant Redwood interferes, he will chop him down! Java says that not even Giant Redwood is that dumb, and that he's confident he can take Peter Valentine on his own. I would agree with that - Valentine looks "good" - if you like the "former bodybuilder looking to hang on way longer than he should" look. But even then, he was awful in TCW when he was younger, and the years have not been kind to him.

Chris Caulfield vs Jumbo Jackson

In our second match, Chris Caulfield defeated Jumbo Jackson thanks to some smoke and mirrors. Ok, I'm sure even USPW is more advanced than that and it was computer graphics, but we'll get to that later. On to the action. Chris Caulfield showed he still has it, and Jumbo Jackson displayed flashes of what made him USPW World Champion last year. The crowd was even mildly into it! Jackson looked to have the match won, with Caulfield set up for the Jumbo Avalanche when a spotlight was aimed at the rafters and Enygma appeared. He was distracted briefly, but this is where things got strange. A second spotlight turned on, and Enygma appeared again! The same happened with a third and a fourth! As Jackson tried to figure out if this was really happening or which of the Enygmas was real, Chris Caulfield recovered and hit the Danger Drop for the win. After the three count, all the spotlights went out in the rafters. And from the middle, directly above the ring, Enygma was lowered down. He was standing directly over Jackson, his green bat pointed down at his opponent this Sunday.

The Force Makes a Bold Prediction

The Force is backstage and cuts a promo on Shane Sneer and The Corporation. He says that The Sneer Corporation is nothing when they don't have the numbers advantage. And even when the numbers only "appear" to be in someone else's favor, The Sneer Corporation fails. So on Sunday, when it's one on one, regardless of Sneer brings, they will FEEL THE FORCE!

Persephone Is Saved From The Cold Warriors

After the break, we are taken backstage where Persephone is trying to get a word with The Cold Warriors. More specifically, she is looking to uncover who this "Natasha" is. Well, as it turns out, she doesn't have to wait long, as Natasha makes her debut. For those of you who have been following USPW for a while, Natasha is Nadia Snow (of USPW and now AAA fame). As Persephone asks her questions, Natasha becomes increasingly irritated to the point that she slaps the microphone out of Persephone's hand. As she bends down to pick it up, two huge shadows surround her. Natasha begins to bark orders, and for a second it looks like Persephone is in harm's way. Fortunately for her, Natural Storm hear the commotion and make the save before things get out of hand.

USPW Women's Title #1 Contender Match

Alicia Strong vs Belle Bryden

In what turned out to be a very even match between arguably the two biggest names in the USPW Women's Division, it was a newcomer who made the difference. After both ladies were unable to connect on their finishers at different points in the match, Belle Bryden became frustrated and looked for a chair outside. As she was bringing it in, the referee admonished her and tried to stop her. It was then that a "fan" jumped the guardrail and attacked Alicia Strong from behind. Seeing her opening, Bryden dropped the threat of using the chair, and instead hit Alicia Strong with The Dish Of The Day for the win. As Bryden walked up the ramp, looking at the ring the whole time, she was joined by the "fan", raising their arms in victory.

The Sneer Corporation and "The Dude" Promos

As the announcers wonder who that fan was, they send it to the back, where Shane Sneer is standing with T-Rex. As T-Rex paces back and forth, grunting, Sneer says that the Jurassic Power will make sure the "Dude" is extinct after tonight.

We are immediately taken to James Justice's locker room where he's extremely calm, even after watching the interview by Shane Sneer. He says that tonight will be a preview of what will happen to The Sneer Corporation at New Year's Revolution this Sunday.

James Justice vs T-Rex

In the third best match of the night (though you wouldn't know it by listening to the fans), James Justice managed to pull out a victory over a tiring T-Rex. If that was his strategy, it worked perfectly - T-Rex was in control early on, but he was unable to capitalize on Shane Sneer's interference. And the longer the match went, the better the chances of James Justice looked. After fighting out of the Jurassic Crush, James Justice hit the Liberation Slam for the pin. Before T-Rex was able to retaliate after the match, Justice left the ring, all the while taunting Sneer and T-Rex.

Tyson Baine & Nicky Champion Face to Face

I knew there was too much time left for the show to end just yet. After a quick break, we come back and find Nicky Champion in the ring. Before he's able to say much, Tyson Baine comes out. Baine says that Nicky is going to regret asking for a cage match. With nowher to run, there's no telling how much he'll put Nicky Champion through before ripping the title away from him. Nicky Champion looks like he's itching for a fight and drops the microphone as Baine approaches. Baine gets into the ring methodically and the two begin to circle each other. As if sensing something was about to go down, half the roster seems to rush the ring to separate them before they make contact.

* * *

News & Notes

*The last episode of American Wrestling before New Year's Revolution got a 3.23 TV rating. This is up from last week's 3.14.

*After some research, we can safely report that the "fan" to aligned herself with Belle Bryden and attacked Alicia Strong is none other than Brooke Tyler. We cannot, however, confirm if she's with USPW on a short term or long term deal. No word on whether this means Eric Tyler might be brought in as well.

*The card for USPW New Year's Revolution has been finalized and it looks as follows:

USPW New Year's Revolution (Sunday Week 3 January 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/PPV%20Events/NYRPPV.jpg

These are the results from USPW New Year's Revolution, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 27,000 people at CA StubHub! Center and is live on Pay-Per-View.

Sam Strong Promo

Sam Strong welcomes the fans to USPW New Year's Revolution. Odd choice for a name considering we are 3 weeks into the new year, but whatever. At least they got a new stage to go with the re-christened PPVs. He says the fans of Carson, CA can expect a great show tonight, with 3 titles on the line, including the World Title in a cage match!

Enygma vs Jumbo Jackson (with Shane Sneer & T-Rex)

I was surprised this was the opening match. I'm not sure anything except the World Title match will be better, so this should have been the semi-main event. What is true is that it really got the crowd excited for the PPV. Things didn't look like they'd end up great for Enygma, with Shane Sneer and T-Rex in Jackson's corner. The match was surprisingly even, with neither Shane Sneer nor T-Rex interfering at first - though the threat of it did seem to distract Enygma in the beginning. Once Enygma began to gain the upperhand, the distractions began. First, Shane Sneer distracting the ref, then T-Rex trying to trip Enygma as he was running the ropes. As the match began to wind down, Sneer's plan went into action. With the referee distracted by Shane Sneer, T-Rex and Jumbo Jackson attempted a double team move on Enygma. Unfortunately for them, Enygma was able to duck to T-Rex charged at him, and it was Jackson who got hit with a devastating clothesline! Shane Sneer can't believe it! Enygma threw T-Rex out of the ring, and locked in the Enygma Variation, causing Jumbo Jackson to tap out.

As Enygma leaves victorious, Jackson is irate and gets in the face of T-Rex. They look like they're about to come to blows when Shane Sneer comes between them, trying to calm things down. Eventually they do, and the three go to the back.

USPW Women's Title

Melody © vs Belle Bryden (with Brooke Tyler)

Belle Bryden is backstage. She introduces Brooke Tyler to the audience and says that she will groom her to the future of women's wrestling. She explains that when she first arrived in USPW, she offered take Alicia under her wing...but Alicia snubbed her! She then turns her attention to USPW Women's Champion, Melody. She says that after she wins the title tonight, USPW fans and wrestlers alike will have a champion they can look up to.

In a surprisingly good match (just a notch below the opener), Belle Bryden was unable to capture the USPW Women's Title after Alicia Strong interfered. The match was pretty even, and Belle Bryden looked to take the upper hand via interference by Brooke Tyler. Before that happened, however, Alicia Strong came down and began brawling with Brooke Tyler outside the ring. The commotion distracted Belle Bryden, and it was the opening Melody needed to hit the Melody Maker for the win.

Alicia Strong joins Melody in the ring after the match and grabs a microphone. She says that last week she was robbed of her chance to go against Melody for the USPW Women's Title, and she couldn't stand idly by and watch Melody get robbed of her title. She turns to Melody and says that at some point their paths will cross again, but first, she has to take care of Belle Bryden and Brooke Tyler. As the segment ends, Alicia Strong raises Melody's arm in victory and they hug.

USPW World Tag Team Titles

Natural Storm © (with Persephone) vs The Towers of Power

The night goes from bad to worse for The Sneer Corporation, as Natural Storm defeat The Towers of Power to retain the USPW World Tag Team titles. The Towers of Power tried to use their size advantage on Natural Storm, but in the end, Eddie Howard hit Mick Muscles with the Storm Damage. Shane Sneer did not accompany The Towers of Power to ringside. Apparently, he was still trying to smooth things out between Jumbo Jackson & T-Rex. Throughout the match, Persephone kept looking towards the back, almost expecting The Cold Warriors to show up. They never did, until...

After the match was over, the Cold Warriors came out onto the stage. Natasha Snow had a microphone, and began to speak (with a heavy "Russian" accent). She said that her clients never received a rematch after they lost the belts in November, and that is a big reason why she is here in USPW - to fight against the injustices perpetrated against The Cold Warriors, and to guide them back to Tag Team gold. She leaves Natural Storm and the rest of USPW with a warning: they are about to experience a Red Dawn.

Andre Jones Promo

After the announcers are left wondering what exactly that means, they throw it to the back, where Andre Jones is ready to give a promo. He says that the only thing he did was start 2013 with a bang - something he should have done long ago. He also says that Sam Strong doesn't want his boy Nicky Champion upstaged on the Pay-Per-View, so he kept Jones off the card. He says that's fine, because Jones will keep doing things to get noticed, until Sam Strong can no longer ignore him.

USPW National Title

Java © (with Tribal Warrior) vs Peter Valentine (w/Giant Redwood)

Emily McQueen takes Jones' side, saying that he should have been on the card, while Jillefski contends that Jones is the TELEVISION champion, and thus defends the belt on television, not Pay-Per-View. A flimsy claim if you ask me...he could have been in a match where the title was not up for grabs. Jillefski then says that someone who is defending his belt at USPW New Year's Revolution is Java, and they send it to the dressing room where we find Savage Fury.

Java does the talking here, as he hypes up his match against Peter Valentine. He says that after Peter Valentine gets hit with the Greeting From The Island, 2013 will be the year Peter Valentine goes away for good.

It looked as though Java would win the match, despite constant interference from Giant Redwood. At first it was just distractions, but when Redwood looked to get physically involved, Tribal Warrior came to the aid of his partner. Unfortunately, as the referee was banning both Giant Redwood and Tribal Warrior from ringside, a mystery worker ran in and hit Java with a Double Arm DDT. The crowd was stunned, though they quickly booed when Valentine picked up the win, and the USPW National Title.

As the announcers discuss what just happened, Danny Jillefski informs us that Darryl Devine has something to say. We go backstage, where Devine is ready to speak. He says that once again, Peter Valentine has found a way to tilt things in his favor, winning by any means necessary. Devine adds that he's a former two time USPW National champion, but after Peter Valentine brought the title back, he never received a title shot. He says Valentine went as far as to put him on the shelf towards the end of 2010 (just before Valentine's title reign ended). Once he returned, Valentine no longer had the USPW National Title. Now that Valentine has reclaimed the belt, Devine says that he will take it away from him, once and for all overcoming the glass ceiling that is Peter Valentine.

Hype Video: Tonight's Main Event

The announcers talk about the challenge that Devine just laid down, Jillefski impressed while McQueen says that it's not Peter Valentine's fault that he's genetically superior to that shrimp Devine. As the announcers argue, Brock Cornish steps in and says that in tonight's main event, Tyson Baine will take on Nicky Champion inside a steel cage, and he introduces a video of how we got here.

The video shows the events of the Christmas episode of USPW American Wrestling, as the show went off the air with paramedics carting out Nicky Champion after a fireball to the face, Tyson Baine laughing maniacally. It then shows Baine attempting to do the same to James Justice, but Nicky Champion making the save in the first show of 2013, and finally the brutal attack on Sam Strong.

In a pre-recorded segment, Tyson Baine says that tonight, he won't escape the cage. In fact, he will make it his mission to destroy Nicky Champion inside that cage to the point that Champion will give up the belt if it means the onslaught will stop. And once he rips the belt from Nicky Champion's hands, he will put him away for good!

The Force Promo

The announcers talk about the evil that is Tyson Baine, Jillefski wondering if Nicky Champion knows what he's getting into, while Emily McQueen says that it's too late to back out now, and maybe he should have thought of that before he asked for the stipulation. Again Brock Cornish tries to play peacemaker, saying The Force is backstage, with a few words before his match.

The Force is backstage, pacing around his locker room, talking gibberish about all the powers he's summoned to take down The Sneer Corporation brick by brick. He says that tonight, Shane Sneer and whomever Sneer brings out, WILL FEEL THE FORCE!

The Chosen Ones Celebrate with Giant Redwood

Backstage, Peter Valentine & Giant Redwood are getting in a limo, laughing about how he will bring about respectability to the USPW National Title again, after it was tarnished by those savages. Valentine acknowledges the mystery wrestler as family and refers to him as Casey. Peter proclaims that he promised he'd win the USPW National Title, and he did it. So perhaps there will be fewer doubters out there now that he's promising to be the longest reigning USPW National champion. And if people like Darryl Devine are the ones challenging him for the belt, it will be a walk in the park. Is the irony lost on Peter Valentine that he and Devine are currently tied for the longest reign (13 months), and Devine has actually held the belt longer overall?

The Force vs ??? (with Shane Sneer)

The Force comes out for his match, running at a frenetic pace around the ring, and shaking the ropes. He is bouncing on his feet, itching to see some action. The Sneer Corporation's music hits, and out comes Shane Sneer. He tells The Force that he's been complaining about The Sneer Corporation's strength in numbers. Well, not tonight (clearly Shane, you're 0-2). In fact, The Force can summon a thousand raging elephants or whatever he wants...but it will take more than that to bring this man down. He points to the entrance and it's Bruce The Giant! The Force seems unfazed by the appearance of Bruce The Giant, even as he makes his way to the ring. Once inside, The Force runs the ropes a few times, hitting Bruce The Giant with clotheslines, but can't bring the big man down. On the third attempt, Bruce sticks a boot up, stopping The Force in his tracks. He picks him up and hits the Giant Choke Slam for the 'win'. The bell never rang, so it doesn't officially count as a match.

James Justice vs Bruce The Giant (with Shane Sneer)

With Shane Sneer taunting The Force as Bruce The Giant stands over him with a foot on his chest, James Justice's music hits, to great approval from the crowd. He says Shane Sneer is always looking to get the upperhand, be it by numbers or the element of surprise. How does it feel now that the tables have turned? With that, he drops the microphone and charges the ring. It looks like we have an impromptu match!

Justice slides into the ring and immediately charges at Bruce, who looks to go for a clothesline. Justice ducks and tries to take out Bruce's knees. After several strikes, the big man staggers. Justice sees this as his opportunity and begins to go for clotheslines. As he's going for his third clothesline, Bruce catches him and lifts him up for a chokeslam! Justice fights back, and reverses it into a DDT. Sneer is stunned. He jumps on the apron, but Justice knocks him off. Justice runs off the rope and hits a legdrop on the downed Giant, and goes for the pin. The fans go crazy when the referee counts to 3. Danny Jillefski is beside himself, while Emily McQueen tries to defend Bruce The Giant, saying he wasn't ready for the match against Justice - he prepared for The Force, and clearly got the job done.

USPW World Title

Nicky Champion © vs Tyson Baine

We cut to the back, where Sam Strong is visiting Nicky Champion in his dressing room. He warns Nicky that he's known Tyson Baine for a long time, and he's never seen him quite this vicious. (Sam, I think Nicky's known him for a while too, and he just suffered the fireball to the face - pretty sure he knows how vicious Tyson Baine can be). Nicky thanks him for stopping by and continues to get ready for the main event.

As the announcers argue, the crew begins to set up the cage around the ring and Tyson Baine makes his entrance. Wow, they really spared no expense. The big screen behind Baine looks like it's on fire, and he's being raised on a platform - the edges of which are on fire.

Nicky Champion makes an equally spectacular entrance, though (fittingly) he's being lowered onto the stage. Hey, I see what they did...good vs evil!

As Nicky Champion enters the cage, Tyson Baine is already waiting in the corner. He doesn't immediately rush him, instead letting the referee go through all the formalities. All that changed when the bell rang. The cage was used to great effect, Baine especially taking advantage of the punishing structure. Some of the more memorable spots had Baine fling Champion over the ropes onto the cage, face first; also picking Champion up in a choke hold and tossing him onto the cage. Champion even fought out of a Hades Bomb attempt. The match began to turn when Champion got out of a powerbomb attempt by falling on top of Baine, nearly getting a three count. Enraged, Baine irish whips Champion into the corner. As he charges him and tries to connect with a spear, Champion moves out of the way and Baine connects head first with the cage. Nicky Champion rallies back, eventually hitting a Hawkeye Hammer for the win. Despite the fact that Baine is getting up there in age, and Champion seemed a bit timid, the chemistry these two have made the match seem a little more special. Easily match of the night.

News & Notes

*New Year's Revolution received a 1.28 PPV Buy Rate. USPW brass is extremely pleased, not only with the buy rate, but also the praise received by both fans and critics alike.

*There were many members of the creative team, most vocally Commissioner Doom, who were unhappy with the constant run ins early on in the PPV. Those who didn't oppose contend that they helped drive the individual stories forward, while Doom's camp argued that it just seemed like it was "too much."

*Prediction contest results:

Know Your Enemy: 2 wins (6/7, 0.857)

Hitman74: 1 win (3/4, 0.750)

mistaken: 1 win (5/8, 0.625)

midnightnick: 1 win (7/16, 0.438)

DAVEFAN95: 0 wins (2/3, 0.667)

**OOC: Still looking for a good format. I combined any segments that seemed to go together here, rather than separating each segment out. Any preferences or something I can change?**

Three days removed from New Year's Revolution, USPW will go live from the West Virginia Coliseum. Having lost all the gold on Sunday, Savage Fury look to get back on the winning track when they face The Lumberjacks! There will be two title matches as well: Andre Jones, current USPW Television champion will take on The Force, while Melody will defend her USPW Women's Title against Gorgon. And in the main event, two champions will go one on one, in a non-title match, when Nicky Champion (USPW World champion) takes on Peter Valentine (USPW National champion).

Also on the show, how will Shane Sneer react after the disastrous Pay-Per-View?

American Wrestling (Wednesday Week 4 January 2013)

These are the results from USPW American Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 13,436 people at WV WVU Coliseum and is being shown live on Sports America.

Strong Opening

Sam Strong cuts a promo where he congratulates Nicky Champion on his victory last night. He also makes a reference to The Sneer Corporation having an awful night, with the exception of a lone bright spot: the return of Bruce The Giant.

Savage Fury vs The Lumberjacks

If they were taking the titles away from Java & Tribal Warrior (USPW National & USPW Television) for a reason, it's nice to see them get a tag team match, even if it's only against The Nation of Flannel. This seemed to be nothing more than an excuse to have them on the card though, and Tribal Warrior put Lumberjack Terry away with a Head Hunter Special.

The Sneer Corporation Locker Room

As we go to break, we are shown The Sneer Corporation's locker room. We hear some arguing, until Shane Sneer steps in. We hear him say that Sunday night will not be the end of the Sneer Corporation, as much as people would cheer for that. To overcome the setbacks, they must show a united front. Odd that he says that and T-Rex is the one excluded from this meeting, as he's guarding the door. As The Sneer Corporation exits the room, Sneer stays behind on a "call" from a new prospect. He tells the rest of The Corporation that he'll catch up with them when he's done. Once the room is clear, Sneer looks to make sure he's alone and quickly hangs up. Looks like he wasn't on a call after all. He goes to Jackson's bag and opens it. It's unclear if he put anything in, but he doesn't seem to have taken anything. As Sneer exits the room, he slaps T-Rex on the chest and instructs him not to let anyone in the room.

Peter Valentine's Reign of Terror

Peter Valentine is walking backstage with his newly won USPW National Title. He walks past Running Wolf, bumping into him. But Valentine makes it seem as though Running Wolf was the one who bumped into him! An argument ensues, and Running Wolf is looking to stay out of it. But as he begins to walk away, out come Casey Valentine & Giant Redwood from around the corner. As they put the boots to him, Peter Valentine says that hopefully, a young punk like Running Wolf will have more respect for the USPW National champion.

USPW Women's Title

Melody © vs Gorgon

Well, at least Melody is on television, in a title defense no less. Melody did a good job of making Gorgon look like a credible challenger, but in the end took the win with a Melody Maker.

Alicia Strong, Belle Bryden & Brooke Tyler Backstage

Alicia Strong is backstage, getting ready to cut a promo when she's interrupted by Belle Bryden and Brooke Tyler. Belle Bryden tells Alicia Strong that she shouldn't have gotten involved in her title match last night, but she can understand why she did, because had she won, Alicia would not have won the title for a long time. She then says that Brooke Tyler is the future of the USPW Women's Division - a spot that Alicia Strong could have occupied had she aligned herself with Belle Bryden all those years ago.

James Justice Promo

James Justice comes out to the ring with a microphone. He says that Shane Sneer got a taste of his own medicine on Sunday, to the tune of losing the 3 matches his stable was in. (Justice conveniently leaves out Bruce The Giant obliterating The Force, as Emily McQueen points out, but I guess that wasn't an official match). But if Sneer and Bruce want to be crybabies about it, he's willing to give them another match at USPW House Party. This way, Bruce can have all the time he wants to prepare, so that when James Justice leaves him looking up at the lights again, they'll have no excuses.

USPW Television Title

Andre Jones © vs The Force

The Force sold the effects of the beating by Bruce The Giant a few days before quite well, and the story being told was that Andre Jones could have finished him much quicker than he did, but he was looking to get noticed. After just over 8 minutes of action, in which The Force had flashes of offense, Andre Jones put him away with a Blast From The Past. This makes 4 successful defenses of the USPW Television Title by Andre Jones.

Andre Jones Promo

And of course, he's gonna let us (and specifically Freddie Datsun) hear about it. He picks up a microphone and says that The Force will be remembered as nothing more than another victim of Andre Jones. He says that Freddie Datsun will suffer the same fate. So when Freddie Datsun is ready to take his place in the annals of USPW history - a footnote in the career of Andre Jones, he'll be willing to put the title on the line.

The Cold Warriors Promo

Natasha Snow is backstage with The Cold Warriors standing behind her. She says that USPW has dragged their feet all this time, denying The Cold Warriors a match. Why? Because those in power know that two things will happen: The Cold Warriors will decimate their competition, and they will be forced to take notice of the most dangerous team in USPW. And once the belts come home to Mother Russia, there is no one who will be able to bring them back.

Nicky CHampion Promo

Nicky Champion says that what Peter Valentine did earlier tonight - attacking Running Wolf after no provocation - was despicable. He says that Valentine likes to consider himself part of the elite of USPW. So how about tonight the two of them go on on one. Champion says he won't ask Peter to put the National Title on the line - he wants to spare the locker room the tantrums that would ensue.

The Sneer Corporation Locker Room, Part 2

Jumbo Jackson is irate. Having returned to the locker room, he opens his bag and finds a card:

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/PPV%20Events/EnygmaPlayingCard.jpg

The Towers of Power try to calm him down, to no success, and Shane Sneer plays stupid to the whole situation (not a stretch I'm sure). Once he "finds out" what happened, he goes to T-Rex and berates him for not mantaining his post in their absence. Duped, Jackson gets in T-Rex's face about the situation, until The Towers of Power are able to separate them. Sneer leaves the shot smirking.

Champion vs Champion (Non-Title Match)

Nicky Champion © vs Peter Valentine ©

Nicky Champion is as good as advertised. He dragged a great match out of Peter Valentine. On par with the first main event of 2013 (Tyson Baine vs James Justice) even. Champion looked to have a clean fight, but Valentine would not cooperate. Valentine knocked Champion down to the mat several times, usually by pulling his hair, but never capitalized. After one such episode, while Valentine was playing to the crowd, Champion quickly got up and hit the Hawkeye Hammer to the delight of the fans in attendance.

Giant Redwood Strikes

As he celebrates, Nicky Champion is distracted by Casey Valentine, who leaves his position at the broadcast table. As the younger Valentine threates to go in the ring, Giant Redwood actually does, and blindsides Champion with a brutal clothesline. A Powerbomb (which saw Nicky's head bounce off the mat) and a Standing Splash later, he leaves the ring helping Peter Valentine out, as Casey Valentine taunts him.

Tyson Baine With the Last Laugh

Suddenly, the big screen shows Tyson Baine, laughing maniacally. He says that their match inside the steel cage was but the first of many battles between them. He tells Champion it was never about the title, but about how much pain he'd be able to put him through. But how fitting is it that he can't even respond after that brutal attack...and he better get used to that, because at USPW House Party, he'll make sure that he can't respond to the referee either. As the screen returns to the image in the ring, Nicky Champion is beginning to regain his senses, the referee and medical staff checking on his condition.

American Wrestling (Wednesday Week 1 February 2013)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/CQI13/USPW/PPV%20Events/AmericanWrestlingTV.png

These are the results from USPW American Wrestling, being held by United States Pro Wrestling. It is being held in front of 12,000 people at MT Rimrock Auto Arena and is being shown live on Sports America.

Sam Strong Books Championship Match for USPW House Party

Sam Strong comes out to open the show, as is now customary, and says that Tyson Baine's actions have been reprehensible the last few weeks. However, in order to give fans what they want to see, the Championship Committee has decided to honor Tyson Baine's request to make his rematch with Nicky Champion at USPW House Party a Last Man Standing Match.

A Devine Challenge

Darryl Devine comes out with Seduction (what an awkward pair they make...no chemistry whatsoever), and he says he is tired of Peter Valentine bullying and belittling him. He says that believe it or not, he was rooting for him last night - so that he could be the first one to challenge him for the belt! Then, Peter Valentine's music hits, but surprisingly, he does not come out. Instead, it's Casey Valentine and Giant Redwood! As they make their way to the ring, Seduction wisely moves to the announce table.

Casey tells Devine that his uncle Peter is not in the arena tonight, but he knows what his response would be. (I'm guessing it's NO). He asks Devine what makes him think he can go around demanding anything? He says if Devine wants the belt so bad, he should put something on the line. He takes a quick glance at Seduction and shakes his head smirking. Maybe he's willing to put his career on the line?

The Cold Warriors vs Kevin Glenn & James Hernandez

The Cold Warriors make their television debut against the dynamic duo of Kevin Glenn and James Hernandez. I recognize Glenn from some tapes I've seen, and I recognize Hernandez as "Mainstream" Hernandez from FCW. The outcome was never in question, as The Cold Warriors controlled the match from the opening bell, using their size and power to manhandle Glenn & Hernandez. In the end, Novak hit The Balance of Power on Hernandez. A quick note: for being jobbers that got thrown together to form a team, Glenn & Hernandez displayed great chemistry.

As The Cold Warriors stand over Glenn & Hernandez victorious, Natasha Snow gets in the ring. She says that this was a taste of what they have in store for Natural Storm and the rest of USPW.

USPW Television Title

Andre Jones © vs Tribal Warrior

In our first title match of the evening, Andre Jones defeated the man he won the belt from, Tribal Warrior. It wasn't Jones' worst match, but still nothing to write home about. It's a shame they haven't given him quality opponents to go up against. Tribal Warrior did look like he'd regain the belt, but ultimately he fell victim to a Blast From The Past. Jones has now made 5 defenses of his USPW Television title.

As Jones celebrates, Freddie Datsun comes out. He says that Jones took him out on the first show of 2013 because he knew that was the only way he would get close to the title. He also says that he's flattered that Jones would think so highly of him that he was the primary target he had in mind to make a statement. He's nothing special...he's the American Everyman. But through hard work and determination, he's carved up a very nice career for himself. He closes out by saying that he might be getting up there in age, but he's willing to teach a young punk a lesson in respect.

Alicia Strong Promo

When we come back from the break, Alicia Strong is backstage giving a promo. She says Brooke Tyler sure is looking to grow up fast in this business. Alicia says she has to hand it to Brooke - debuting by attacking her takes a lot of courage. She finishes by saying that Brooke might have bitten off more than she can chew...

Chris Caulfield Challenges T-Rex

Chris Caulfield is backstage cutting a promo on The Sneer Corporation. He says it was great to see last week, the dissension within The Corporation, and how he was able to contribute to that with his victory over Jumbo Jackson leading into New Year's Revolution. With that in mind, he thinks a victory over T-Rex would go a long way to drive a wedge between members of The Corporation. So he's challenging T-Rex to a match next week!

James Justice vs Charlie Thatcher

In preparing for Bruce The Giant, James Justice asked to take on "The Insurance Policy" Charlie Thatcher. Despite the fact that his opponent isn't that talented in the ring, Justice was able to drag a very watchable match out of him. USPW fans better appreciate Justice while he can still go in the ring. To be fair, their apparent chemistry doesn't hurt, but I'm not sure the booking team will look to take advantage of that. Maybe down the line, perhaps. As the match drew to a close, Savage Fury came out onto the stage and stood by the entrance, watching the match. A missed Crusher Leg Drop, followed by a Liberation Slam was what it took to put the big man down for the count.

As Justice celebrated, it looked as though Thatcher would exact some measure of revenge. But as he prepared to rush Justice, Savage Fury sprinted to the ring and made the save. After a Head Hunter Special, Tribal Warrior signaled a belt around his waist. I guess Tribal Warrior was waiting for the opportune time for a little payback on Thatcher for costing him the USPW Television Title.

Shane Sneer Accepts Caulfield's Challenge - Sort of...

After the commercial break, we are taken backstage, where Shane Sneer is with T-Rex and Jumbo Jackson. It appears as though cooler heads have prevailed, as there doesn't seem to to be any animosity between the two. Sneer downplays Caulfield's comments about dissension in the ranks. Instead, he says that he'll accept the challenge. He says he'll give Chris Caulfield a week to find a partner to take on Jumbo Jackson and T-Rex! The announcers bring it back to ringside as we are getting set for our main event of the evening.

USPW World Title Match

Nicky Champion © vs Jack Griffith

I wouldn't say the main event was devoid of a story, but "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith is not on the level of Nicky Champion. However, the crafty veteran and Champion put on a classic (by USPW standards at least). The biggest pop of the match was when Nicky Champion kicked out after a Jack In The Box - the crowd was stunned when Champion went down. After a comeback, Nicky Champion connected with The Hawkeye Hammer. With Griffith unable to kick out, Nicky Champion made defense number 4 of his USPW World title.

As Champion celebrates, the lights go out. A loud crack is heard, the sound of someone being slammed on the entrance ramp. When the lights come back on, Nicky Champion is out on the ramp, looking up at the lights.

The big screen comes alive, with Tyson Baine laughing. He says Nicky Champion better get used to it, because at USPW House Party, he'll make sure he won't be able to walk out unassisted. As the screen goes dark and returns to the image from the arena, the medical staff come to check on Nicky Champion as the show goes off the air.
