In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Bad Influence defeated Benjamin and Haas in 7:45 when Christopher Daniels defeated Charlie Haas by pinfall with a Last Rites.</p><p> </p><p>

As Bad Influence celebrates their victory they find themselves on the recieving end of a frenzied attack by an irate Kurt Angle. An angle slam takes Kazarian out of the picture and Angle grabs Daniels to put him in the ankle lock. Daniels manages to escape and pulls Kazarian out of the ring with him as the duo flee.</p><p> </p><p>

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, AJ Styles defeated Jay Lethal in 15:14 by pinfall with a Super Styles Clash. AJ Styles makes defence number 2 of his Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight title. </p><p> </p><p>

Rating: 82</p><p> </p><p>

As AJ exits the ring he yells at a nearby camera, saying that Hogan was full of it. AJ Styles backs up the ramp as he trash talks Hogan. A masked man walks up behind Styles and pulls his mask off revealing the newest TNA superstar, CODY RHODES! Cody grabs AJ's arm and head before hitting Cross Rhodes onto the entrance ramp. The crowd goes wild as Cody looks down at AJ and picks up the World Heavyweight title.</p><p> </p><p>

AJ Styles is in the ring holding a meeting between the members of the Fifth Column. He mentions how he has let Roderick Strong go for disgracing the Column in his loss last week to Eric Young and how he's hired a "mercenary" to replace Strong who will be tested in his first match tonight.</p><p> </p><p>

The meeting is interrupted however when Cody Rhodes appears on the video screen, he mentions how he's surprised that the mighty Fifth Column would allow themselves to be represented by someone dressed like a hobo. Cody proceeds to demonstrate in front of his bathroom mirror how to shave because he feels like AJ is confused by the whole process</p><p> </p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Rhino defeated Magnus in 8:11 by pinfall with a Gore.</p><p> </p><p>

The Wolves jump Aries backstage, beating him down in hopes of taking him out of the Lockdown match. Their plan is foiled however as Bully Ray interrupts, aided by a metal pipe and chases the pair off. Aries thanks Bully for his help.</p><p> </p><p>

Daniels mentions that he's impressed with how spry Angle is for a man who's neck is made out of paper mache. Kazarian laughs but Roode just stares at the pair like they're insane.</p><p> </p><p>

Kendrick, Maryse, Suicide and Shelley all argue backstage as to who will walk out of Lockdown with the X-Division championship. Maryse argues that Kendrick has been the best X-Division champion in years while Suicide points at himself and gestures wildly. Alex mentions that he's a veteran to the X-division and its only a matter of time until he holds the title again. All four stare each other down, determined to win the match.</p><p> </p><p>

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, AJ Styles defeated Cody Rhodes in 25:49 when AJ Styles escaped the cage after Cody Rhodes had been taken out by Rhino. AJ Styles makes defence number 4 of his Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight title. </p><p> </p><p>

After the match Cody is seen lying in the middle of the ring helplessly as the Fifth Column helps AJ to the back, barely able to stand on his own legs. Cody had the match won until a gore from the top of the cage put the challenger out of the running. The Fifth Column seems to be pleased with the result of the match.</p><p> </p><p>

Thursday, 4th week of March

 

On the pre-show an interview with Winter is shown to the audience as she says that she's incredibly disappointed with Angelina Love and her actions last night. Winter says however that she still loves Angelina and will accept her back if she returns the Knockouts championship. She has until next week to decide.

 

iMPACT! kicks off as Cody Rhodes comes down to the ring and talks about how he tried his best last night but came up short. he says that if it was one on one, Styles Vs Rhodes the results would have been different. Ken Anderson rudely interupts as he tells Cody that he knew giving the newcomer a title shot would just be a waste. Anderson says that when he got his shot at the TNA World Heavyweight championship he seized the opportunity and succeeded. Mr. Anderson tells Cody that maybe he'd like to go back to the minors, the recommendation is cut short however by a punch from Rhodes. The pair start to brawl and have to be broken up by security.

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Alex Shelley defeated Christopher Daniels in 7:31 by submission with a Border City Stretch.

After the match Bad Influence seems to take offense to the loss as they pummel the victorious Shelley. Daniels picks Shelley up and sets him up for Angel's wings when suddenly a returning Chris Sabin charges the ring with a chair and scares Bad Influence off. The crowd cheers wildly as Sabin helps Shelley back up to his feet.

In an extremely short match, Christina Von Eerie defeated Sarita in 4:43 by pinfall with a Codebreaker.

Kurt Angle comes down to the ring and speaks about how last night a major blow was struck against the Fifth Column and he believes now is the time to knock them out once and for all. Angle urges TNA to band together and fight off the invaders by finds himself cut short but a right hand from Rhino who had entered through the crowd. Angle battles back and seems to have the upper hand, he grabs Rhino and lifts him up for an Angle slam when Prince Devitt comes up behind him and sticks him in the back with a tazer. Angle drops Rhino who promptly gores him.

In an extremely short match, Winter defeated Buggy Nova in 5:24 by pinfall with a Katatonic.

AJ is celebrating yet another victory when "Sorry, about your damn luck!" sounds through the arena followed by Longnecks and Rednecks. James Storm makes his way down the ramp with a bottle of beer in his hand, he shakes the bottle and pops the cap off, spraying Styles down before hitting AJ in the side of the head with the bottle. Storm grabs a microphone and tells the unconscious Styles that he's going to be putting the Fifth Column in the ground for good because he intends to challenge for AJ's title.
