Eric Bischoff makes his presence known as the show starts with him in the ring, he mentions his disappointment at the results of No Surrender and how he had hoped Bobby Lashley would be the one facing Samoa Joe at Bound For Glory instead. Eric mentions that he has less faith in Joe being able to end the reign of Austin Aries and that as an "insurance policy" he will be giving all of those deserving of a title shot a chance. At Bound For Glory, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Ken Anderson will all be fighting for the number one contendership to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Matt Morgan Vs Kazarian

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kazarian defeated Matt Morgan in 8:12 by pinfall with a Wave of the Future.

EC3 is seen backstage talking to his Aunt, Dixie Carter, about how Angle "ruined his debut" by chasing him off. Dixie seems confused and says that Kurt is usually a nice man, she asks what happened. Ethan makes up a story about the fans chanting his name and cheering him on when a jealous Kurt charges the ring and forces him to escape since he wasn't ready for a match. Dixie seems sad to hear this news and promises that she'll talk to Kurt when she gets a chance.

British Invasion Vs Shelley and Gunner

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The British Invasion defeated Alex Shelley and Gunner in 7:50 when Magnus defeated Alex Shelley by pinfall with an Assisted European Uppercut.

Brooke Tessmacher is being interviewed about her reign as the TNA Knockout's champion. She mentions her intention to bring the belt back home to Texas the next time TNA holds a show in the region and show it off to her family. Winter sneaks up from behind her and attacks her, beating her down and grabbing her championship before walking off.

Austin Aries enters the arena, his World Heavyweight title resting on his shoulder as he is stopped by Samoa Joe in the hallway. The two stare each other down but Aries breaks the silence by saying that he's not afraid and no matter how tough Joe may look or no matter how many people chant that Joe's going to kill him he still intends to end Bound For Glory with his reign intact. Joe responds by telling Aries that the fact he's not afraid must mean that he's going to need to make an example out of the World Champion.

Thursday, 4th week of September

Ethan Carter III kicks off the show as he mentions that he intends to restart his debut, seeing as Angle ruined the last one by being in the ring. He stands impatiently as the speakers start up "Ladies and Gentlemen.... E...C..." the introduction is ruined however as the opening notes of Gold Medal start playing through the arena. Kurt Angle walks onto the ramp and shakes his head at Ethan before his music cuts and he starts to speak. Angle mentions that this morning he recieved a call from Dixie Carter asking him why he was so mean to Ethan. He tells EC3 that he has no clue what filth he's feeding to his aunt but if he wants his ankle broken he'll be happy to oblige.

Mickie James Vs Madison Rayne

In an extremely short match, Mickie James defeated Madison Rayne in 5:26 by pinfall with a Chick Kick.

Bobby Roode is interviewed backstage by SoCal Val as he talks about his match at No Surrender with Sting. He mentions that he was happy with the win but hoped instead to cement his own legacy. He thinks that Sting was elevated more by facing him than the other way around.

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Bobby Lashley defeated Charlie Haas in 8:30 by pinfall with a Knock Out Punch.

AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Ken Anderson are all in Hogan's office arguing over what type of match they will have to determine the #1 contendership. Anderson makes a shot at Jeff saying that they should have a "kilo on a pole" match. Jeff takes offense and takes a swing at Anderson who gets out of the way, causing Hardy to accidentally punch Styles in the back of the head. Hogan orders everyone out of his office and says that they'll be having a ladder match.

Sting is a special attraction, I don't think he should be winning big, important matches on PPV. I could be wrong though.

Ethan Carter III Vs Kurt Angle

Angle can still go and I gotta be honest, I don't like the EC3 gimmick. Bateman himself is talented but I hate the whole Dixie Carter's nephew schtick. This rivalry will go on for a while longer and I see Angle winning by DQ or count-out or something.

Singles Match for the TNA Television Championship:

James Storm Vs "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero

This one is hard to predict. I'm going with Dinero because he's younger, he probably needs the victory more.

Backstage Spud is seen trying to make coffee in the break room and attempting to replace a filter. Bully Ray walks in and hits him in the elbow sending the filter and coffee grounds all over the room, Ray laughs at Spud who tries desperately to clean up his mess. Eric Young who was sitting in the corner approaches Bully and tells him to get out before they have a problem, Bully laughs him off before pushing Spud over as he tries to clean. Bully sneers at Young before exiting the break room.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kurt Angle defeated Ethan Carter III in 13:57 when Ethan Carter III was disqualified when Celeste Bonin ran in and attacked Kurt Angle.

Rating: 55

After the match EC3 and Celeste Bonin stand tall celebrating a victory that they confusingly have not at all achieved, Kurt Angle being declared the victor due to a pipe shot from Celeste. Regardless the pair seem to be content with the results of their actions.

Bobby Roode Vs "The Icon" Sting

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Bobby Roode defeated Sting in 20:33 when Bobby Roode escaped the cage.

Rating: 78

Roode however appears not to be done with the Icon as he grabs a chair and renters the cage. He delivers a series of harsh blows to Sting which leave him laying prone in the middle of the structure. Roode can be heard yelling at Sting to enjoy "retirement" as the Leader of the selfish generation leaves the ring.

It's the biggest show of the year (besides Wrestlemania) so predictions are not only welcome, they're allowed!
As a WWE Diary writer, I'd have to disagree with this sweeping statement...

As a promoter for TNA I'd be pretty awful if I came out with the tagline "Bound For Glory: Better than Extreme Rules!" wouldn't I? The day will come that BFG will eclipse Wrestlemania. Mark my words!

Thursday, 4th week of October

The new World Heavyweight Champion starts off the show as he makes his presence felt. He enters the ring and demands that the GM Hulk Hogan join him immediately. As the General Manager enters the ring Joe mentions how angry he is that Bully Ray is being credited as the reason he won his match at Bound for glory and demands that he be given a chance to defend the title tonight to prove everyone wrong. Hulk Hogan mentions that he's annoyed that Joe is making all of these demands but likes the idea of a defense and books him against Shelton Benjamin.

Eric Young Vs Gunner

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Eric Young defeated Gunner in 8:28 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker.

Bully Ray is seen bragging to Kazarian and Daniels backstage about screwing Aries out of the title. He mentions how in the lead up to Bound For Glory that nobody was talking about him, he didn't even have a match and now all of a sudden he's the #1 attraction in the locker room. Bad Influence starts to warn him but Aries hits Bully with a series of hard right hands before tackling him into an open locker room. Spud seems alarmed at the pair bursting through his door and pleads with them to not break anything. Bully fights back and slams Aries through a coffee table but Aries grabs a table leg and hits Ray in the side of the head with it before spearing him through a nearby computer table with the monitor and computer falling onto Ray. Aries gives Bully a parting kick before walking out of the locker room. Spud seems distraught and utterly confused by the situation.

Samoa Joe and AJ Styles confront each other in the middle of the ring to start off the show. Joe tells AJ that while he's happy to defend his title that the Phenomenal one would likely be better off just letting someone else take his shot. GM Hogan mentions that a street fight will let them settle once and for all who deserves the spotlight. Aries and Bully seem to agree as they smile darkly at each other before leaving.
