Darksiders II was 1€ in the humble once. Never played it, probably never will. But don't let that stop ya. :p

PES14 was actually 10,5€ this weekend, so I picked it up and dumped my 360 version. Unfortunately, it's kinda hard to get the PESEdit patch working. God damnit. I WANT TO PLAY WITH ORIGI! :p

So far I've got:

Divinity: Original Sin

Wasteland II

The Stanley Parable

Tomb Raider

Darksiders 1+2

I'm satisfied with this.

Yesterday I thought about "Thomas was alone" and "Stanley Parabel". Are they recommendable? I usually like games that have 'some' educational value, like Antichamber. Will these be satisfactory? I think several here have praised Thomas was alone already.

The Stanley Parable isn't necessarily a "game". It's an experience. It's a good experience, but it's a very short one. You can get every ending in a day or so.

Pick of the day: Rogue Legacy. Fantastic game, lots of random elements, cool characters selection with different traits + the perk tree. I've had lots of fun with this one, it's only 3.75e but you'll find there's much in this title. Great game where you can only blame yourself if you die. :)

Also I really liked the story ending. Also once you finish it it gives a + -mode for you which is an even harder version.

If you're into games that are more something to experience, I'd suggest Gone Home. It's got a terrific narrative and some nice little subplots to explore as well. It's currently on sell for 3.74 quid. With the exchange rate, that puts it around 7 bucks. It's another short one, though. I think I beat it in just under two hour, but if you don't mind supporting a good indie developer it's worth it!

Hey guys. I'm collecting the cards to craft the summer sale badge, I'm looking for number 2 and 5. I have multiple copies of 7,8, and 10 if anyone wants to trade I'd be happy. :)

"Summer Adventure Card" 2 and 5? I have 'em both, so feel free to take mine.

I've yet to have that "Oh yes! Awesome! It's on sale for that cheap!" -moment in this sale. :( I don't know if there actually have been few really great games released after the last summer sale. I feel that I have every game that I want. And I never buy them full price nowadays, the only exception being Skyrim. There have been lots of great sales throughout the year so Summer Sale is not as special anymore I feel.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, £2.19

Magicka, £1.99

FTL, £2.79

Torchlight 2, £3.74

Metro: Last Light, £6.79

Dark Souls 1, £4.99

You need all of these games for these prices, especially the first three. MLT, get the first three if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.

Anyone played Blackguards? It looks like my sort of thing, but at £10.19 it's still at the "you actually have to think before just randomly buying it" price point.

You're right. The new games are still -33%, and that price is still too heavy. I didn't buy a game full price except for PES2013 - which was a mistake - and DOA5U (but that's been a while). Both on console obviously, as it's pretty insane to pay 50€ (imo) for a pc game, as those prices lower quite quickly. Unless it was Skyrim or CKII: I couldn't care less then. Before that, I can't imagine which ones I bought full price.

I bought it when it was something like 25e and kinda regret it since I was expecting something else. I've got a really mixed feeling about it. It has it's good parts and the bad parts. Some of the textures and menus in the game has that kinda of Cyanide studios BB -esque amateurish feeling about it if you know what I mean.

It has some humor in it, I've done like 15 missions in it so by no means I haven't played a lot of it. I was expecting more like an X-COM / Final Fantasy Tactics -like game so that's why I was kinda disappointed. There's not much customization in the characters (I mean you can't change looks and superficial things) but the skill and perk system is really nice, multilayered and amazing for people who understand it.

I'd rate it 6/10 for a player who dabble in the genre occasionally, 8/10 for people who really like those games. Watch youtube videos about it, TotalBiscuit has a good review on it.

For that price though it's not bad but it's -66% so I have a feeling that it might end up with -75% in a flash sale later (?). If you've played those kind of games and liked them, especially those with a lot of combat and somewhat original story then go for it. Also this one has a lot of adult themes or so I've read. Like I said I haven't played the game a lot so don't trust me on the review ;D Just my initial thoughts.

I would anticipate it being like a less polished Civ V, but with fantasy things.

There is a diplomacy mechanic but you can't really win the game that way, it's just a "please don't attack me for X turns, I'll give you Y gold" style system. Cities are there to research you stuff, get you resources and produce units for you, like in Civ games, though the NPC cities you can conquer belong to various different races, giving you access to different units (and bonuses and penalties for controlling cities of races other than your own). It's pretty fun.

The combat is turn-based, and battles can get fairly large if you have multiple units involved in one battle (which is sometimes necessary, to fight dragons etc). Maps change depending on what terrain you're in on the world map, too, which is neat. As in the Total War games, you can automatically resolve combat if you can't be arsed (if you're ridiculously outnumbered, or vice versa, and couldn't possibly win/lose) or even tell the AI to fight for you and watch the battles if you're weird and find that fun. ¬_¬

I'd say it was worth picking up if you're into Civ-style games (or Fallen Enchantress, which is quite similar) and looking for a vaguely similar experience with a fantasy element and more warfare. Although as usual in steam sales, it could be cheaper later on. It's a relatively recent release though so not likely to go down a ridiculous amount.

Sleeping Dogs is currently on community choice for £2.99. Well worth picking up if you liked the idea of the True Crime series but wished it wasn't as terrible, as Sleeping Dogs is basically True Crime: Hong Kong, but they realised they couldn't call it that because it's too good to be a True Crime game. ¬_¬ Very interesting setting, great brawling mechanics and a decent storyline, well worth £2.99 IMO.

Dishonored is £2.49 too. Definitely worth picking up if you're into stealth games. Very good game. Brigmore Witches and Knife of Dunwall are great DLC too (but not the other two).

Also, bizarrely, Watchdogs is 20% off on a flash sale right now...

None of the 'big' games interest me that much today, mostly because I've got most of them. Banished is fun, but "only" 50% off. EUIV is the sort of game that you probably already have if you wanted it. Civ V is similar in that regard.

Pro tip if you're getting Civ 5, get the base game and Brave New World. You don't need Gods and Kings unless you really want loads of Civs to choose from, as the majority of the gameplay is either replaced/improved by or comes with BNW anyway. You definitely want BNW though, it's a much better game than the vanilla.

You can just "give" cards with nothing in return, but if you'd like a trade I can help with that too. I've got tons of cards.
