[We see Stephanie McMahon step into her office where her father is already seated in her chair.]

Stephanie> What are you going to do, have me arrested again?

Vince> You weren’t arrested you were…escorted out. And no, that’s not the plan.

Stephanie> So what is the plan?

Vince> The plan is…you’re going to to that ring tonight and you’re going to look my friend Sable in the eye and apologize to her.

Stephanie> Are you crazy?

Vince> No, but if you don’t, I’ll cancel your little match at No Mercy and save myself the time of firing you right here tonight!

[Vince strolls out with a grin leaving his daughter angrily shaking her head.]

[The video package plays and we’re taken to the announcer’s table where Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us to the show. They hype the last semifinal of the cruiserweight tournament tonight with Taijiri and Funaki, Stephanie McMahon’s apology, and the huge main event with Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and the Undertaker against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Rhyno, and the Big Show.

Farooq w/Bradshaw vs Charlie Haas w/Shelton Benjamin

Haas and Benjamin attack the APA before the bell and when it finally settles into one on one Haas keeps the advantage until Farooq begins applying some brute force and overpowering Haas. Benjamin tries to intervene and gets a big clothesline from Bradshaw for his trouble. A moment later Haas is caught coming off the second rope into a big powerslam for the victory.

Man> Just the guys I’m looking for.

Benjamin> And who might you be?

Man> The name’s Kennedy and I represent someone who is very interested in gaining the services of a tandem such as yourselves and making sure you keep those titles.

Haas> And why should we want to sign up with you?

[The man now known as Kennedy opens the briefcase, showing the tag champs what’s inside but not showing the audience.]

Benjamin> Charlie, you sold?

Haas> Oh yea man. Where do we sign?

Kennedy> Right this way, gentlemen.

[Torrie Wilson is standing by with the Undertaker.]

Torrie>Undertaker, in two weeks you face Rhyno but tonight you’re part of a big six man tag. What’s going to happen tonight if you and Rhyno are the legal men?

The Undertaker> Torrie, legal men, illegal men, it doesn’t matter. Tonight I will kick the hell out of Rhyno one way or another. I will beat him senseless like I did last week and then whatever is left over for No Mercy will get another beating, the worst beating of his life. That ring out there is my yard and tonight Rhyno along with Big Show and Brock Lesnar will learn what that means the hard way.

Stephanie> Sable we have a big match at No Mercy but it’s been brought to my attention that in my capacity as General Manager I haven’t been very professional towards you.

Sable> That’s right you haven’t.

Stephanie> So I’m out here to tell you I’m sor…..sorr…..

[stephanie turns, looking to be having trouble spitting it out as Sable mocks her to the crowd but Stephanie whirls on her and spikes her in the head with the microphone then straddles her and begins pounding her. When Sable is nearly out of it, Stephanie pics the microphone back up.

Stephanie> As I was saying, I’m sorry that I didn’t do this a long time ago.

Stephanie muscles a still dazed Sable to her knees, then as the crowd reaches a fever pitch, shoves her face into Rikishi’s rear end. RATINGS

RAW on SPIKE TV scored a 7.36 (last week 7.14)

Smackdown on UPN scored a 7.50 (last week 7.48)

-Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, and Gail Kim defeated Stacy Keibler, Ivory, and Jacqueline

-Batista defeated Booker T

-Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty defeated Nunzio and Johnny Stamboli

-Christopher Daniels defeated Billy Kidman

-Rey Mysterio defeated Jamie Noble to retain Cruiserweight Championship

TALENT RELATIONS

WWE came to terms with the following individuals:

-Daffney

-CM Punk

Both are expected to enter OVW within the week.

AROUND THE RING

-WWE is eying the upcoming week in a big way. RAW's Clash of the Champions which will be essentially PPV quality on free TV, Smackdown's go-home show, and then No Mercy on Sunday. Needless to say a lot of nervous people walking around backstage.

-There is no definite plan as of right now as to who will challenge the Undertaker at WrestleMania XX as the streak looks to go 12-0.

-It would not be surprising to see OVW go through some fall cleaning in the near future. The feeling amongst top brass is they've brought in some top flight talent over the last few weeks and the developmental company may need some pruning.

-Vince McMahon is said to be pleased with the new S&M masked gimmick for the Bashams. Many folks are seeing the obvious similarities to Demolition of the late 80s. Whether this translates into some WWE Tag Team title runs is anyone's guess.

-In December, Smackdown will run a PPV quality show the same week as RAW's Armageddon. What we can now report is it will be military-themed.

-Rumors backstage at Smackdown suggest fans are likely to see over the next few weeks: a major persona's face turn, the return of a famous tag team and an emphasis on Brock Lesnar's mean streak.

-RAW's Clash of the Champions may mark a realignment of storylines and a new direction for the Brand as we head towards 2004.

THE CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS RETURNS THIS MONDAY LIVE ON SPIKE TV

For the first time in over six years, the Clash of the Champions, returns to television!!! What once was a staple of the old WCW now belongs to Raw and on this night all of Raw's Championships will be decided.

Shawn Michaels and Triple H have one of the most storied relationships in WWE history and at the Clash they will add another chapter to it. 2 weeks ago Interim GM, Mick Foley, ordered a fatal fourway match to determine the Game's opponent for the Clash and in thrilling fashion, HBK won. Last week in a tense contract signing both men promised to make history at the Clash but it was the Game and Evolution who stood tall when Raw went off the air. What will happen when the Showstopper meets the Game for the most prestigious prize in our industry?

Last Monday on Raw we found out that the Interim General Manager of Raw is none other than WWE legend, Mick Foley! And Foley wasted no time in making monumental changes to Raw when he announced that on Monday Week 3, October, Live on Spike TV, Raw will present the return of the Clash of the Champions. As we found out at the end of a phenomenal fatal fourway match that closed Raw; Shawn Michaels has won the right to challenge Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Clash in what will be another chapter in this storied rivalry. This Monday with only 7 days to go until the Clash; Triple H and HBK will come face to face to sign the contract for their match. What will happen when these former best friends turned biter arch-rivals step into the ring to sign their contract?

For months the evil monster Kane has terrorized Raw and leveled everyone in his way. Finally someone is fighting back and RVD has sent Kane running. The two former best friends turned bitter enemies will finally collide at the Clash in a Steel Cage Match. Can anyone walk out of this one unscathed?

Last week on Raw Kevin Nash suffered a brutal attack by Mark Henry and Chris Jericho. What is the nature of their relationship? Why did Henry target Nash? Mark Henry and Jericho will be on hand to explain.

Finally don't miss the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin who will address Eric Bischoff and the entire WWE audience only four weeks away from Survivor Series where he and Bischoff will collide with the General Manager of Raw on the line.

The Clash of the Champions returns this Monday from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. Don't miss it LIVE on Spike TV at 9pm!

Monday; October, Week 3 - Mellon Arena - Pittsburgh, PA

The Clash of the Champions opens to a limo arriving and Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair stepping out. Interim GM Mick Foley is there to meet them and he has security with him. Foley glares at Orton, who looks smug, and tells Triple H that he is banning Evolution from the building tonight. He says it would be easy to make them all pay for the assault from last week’s Raw but instead he’s going to let Triple H stand or fall on his own as a man. Evolution is furious and Triple H gets in his face but Foley doesn’t back down and tells Hunter that one way or the other tonight there won’t be any interference. The winner will be champion because he earned it. The wall of security forces Evolution back and Triple H has no choice but to enter the arena….alone. Grade: 78

====================

A video montage of classic Clash of the Champions moments takes place including Flair vs Sting, Steamboat and Flair, Hogan’s arrival into WCW, Sting’s crow stalking the nWo and then it cuts to a montage of tonight’s two big matches: Kane and RVD and the World Heavyweight Championship. Grade: 74

====================

The pyro shoots and we see that a big titan tron and entrance exists but the Raw stage is gone. The ropes are golden and everywhere there are Clash of the Champions banners. JR and King are at ringside.

JR: “Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the return of the Clash of the Champions. We are live from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA on a night where Mick Foley has decreed that Triple H must stand on his own two feet when he defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels. “

King: “That’s right, JR and don’t use Foley’s insane logic. This is Mick Foley trying to get revenge against Evolution for punking him out last week, pure and simple. It’s a clear case of an abuse of power!”

JR: “That should be an explosive main event on a night when every championship on Raw is on the line. Lets waste no time and go to the ring for our opening contest here at the Clash of the Champions.”

====================

Inside the ring is Lillian Garcia.

Lillian: Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest, Live on the Clash of the Champions, is scheduled for one fall and it is for the World Tag Team Championship.

World Tag Team Championship

Booker T & Goldust vs La Resistance ©

A back and forth match but eventually La Resistance cuts off Goldust and starts picking him apart. He tries to make it to Booker several times but is always cut off. Finally Goldust starts to make it to Booker and Robert Conway distracts the ref who pushes him off the apron and sees Goldust get to Booker T for the hot tag. Booker comes in and cleans house and gets a near fall on Rene Dupree but Sylvain breaks it up and this brings in Goldust. A brawl takes place and Goldust and Sylvain go to the floor. With the ref distracted, Rene has Booker and is holding him and Robert has the belt. He charges but Booker ducks and Renee is hit in the head with the belt. Booker throws Robert over the ropes and Booker hits Renee with the Book-End and makes the cover for the 1…2..3. And we have new World Tag Team Champions.

Winners by Pinfall and New World Tag Team Champions: Booker T & Goldust Grade: 73

Booker and Goldust hug and celebrate as La Resistance retreat. Grade: 63

====================

In the back Mickie James is with the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. He says that tonight is a historic night not only because this is the first Clash of the Champions that HBK gets to steal the show of but because tonight Triple H has no one to back him up. What Triple H does not and never could understand is that a true champion, a man, is able to stand on his own two feet with the help of his buddies. In DX HBK could back up his big mouth by out performing everyone in the company – tonight we find out if Triple H can do the same. It is too late for the Game and when this night is over, one way or the other, the best man will win. And you’re looking at the next World Heavyweight Champion!!! Grade: 70

----COMMERCIAL BREAK---

The Clash returns and we see the armored van arriving. Kane is let out of the back, shackled and ready to go, by police who have tasers pointed at him. He enters the arena. Grade: 69

====================

Chris Jericho comes out to the ring gloating over his win last week against Kevin Nash.

Y2J: “Hey, Kevin how does it feel? You think that I wouldn’t have a plan when I get you in a No DQ match? And how fitting it is that your own big idea has come back to bite you in the ass. But that would not have happened without having a good friend to watch my back and it is my pleasure to introduce him to you now. Ladies and Gentlemen – the destroyer…Mark Henry.”

Henry comes out with Jonathan Coachman. They step into the ring and shake hands and Coach takes the microphone.

Coach: “I told the world that before Raw was over Mark Henry would make a statement. That the world’s most dangerous man would make a statement and that one unlucky Raw star would pay the price. And now all of you should know that when the Coach makes a promise, he keeps it because Kevin Nash was proved to be a broken and beaten man. Sorry Kevin but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Now everyone wants to know, why? Why did Mark Henry help Chris Jericho?

Its very simple: opportunity. The opportunity to unite finesse and power, raw domination and the highlight of the night, vicious and delicious. And that is what you now have before you. Chris Jericho, the first Undisputed Champion in wrestling’s history and Mark Henry – the destroyer. We are united. We are together. And we are going to tear Raw apart and make all the cash and take all the gold in the process.

And Kevin Nash? (Shrug) Sorry buddy but you were just the first victim.”

Jericho and Henry shake hands and Coach stands between them. Apparently they are a united front and they exit the ring to a chorus of boos. Grade: 60

====================

In the back Trish Stratus, who apparently was allowed into the building, enters Lita’s locker room as she is getting ready. Trish throws her hands up and says she just wanted to come here to tell her best friend good luck tonight. Lita still looks a little distrustful but says “thanks” and walks out. The women’s championship fourway is NEXT. Grade: 74

----COMMERCIAL BREAK---

Women's Championship - Fourway Match

Jazz vs Jacqueline vs Molly Holly vs Lita ©

A fast paced back and forth match. For awhile Jazz and Molly work together but soon they are brawling and Lita and Jacqueline pick up the pieces. Jackie DDT’s Molly for a 2 count but Lita breaks it up and now Jackie is at it with Lita. All four women are on the floor doing high spots and Lita gets rolled into the ring by Jazz who locks on an STF. Molly prevents her from tapping out and all four women engage in another round of fighting. Molly is in the ring with Lita and she misses a clothesline and is hit with the Twist of Fate for the 3 count.

Winner by Pinfall and still Women's Champion: Lita Grade: 57

Following the match Jazz is furious and starts attacking Lita. Molly joins in and out comes Gail Kim. Jackie and Lita try to fight them off but its 3 on 2 until suddenly Trish runs down. She, Lita and Jacqueline run off the heels and Lita looks at Trish tentatively before high fiving her. Trish and Lita and Jacqueline taunt Gail, Jazz and Molly who are retreating from the ring. Grade: 46

We get a commercial for Survivor Series that is highlighted by Eric Bischoff vs Stone Cold Steve Austin. Grade: 73

====================

We cut to the ring and see the Steel Cage being lowered. The steel cage match is...Next.

---COMMERCIAL BREAK---

A video package highlighting Kane’s destruction of Raw plays – it morphs into RVD’s return and his standing up to Kane. Grade: 65

====================

Steel Cage Match

Rob Van Dam vs Kane

A brutal contest. Kane goes after RVD right away and starts trying to slice his head against the cage. RVD fights back but Kane is then again in power and hits a chokeslam but RVD kicks out at 2. Kane sees that blood has formed on Van Dam and starts pounding away at it. He tries to rake RVD’s face into the cage again but RVD kicks him in the head and takes over. Van Dam shows incredible fury as he whips Kane into the cage over and over again before going for a roll up for a 2 count. RVD hits the split legged moonsault for 2 and a rolling thunder for two. Kane tries another chokeslam but RVD drops out and drop kicks Kane in the back sending him flying face first into the cage. With Kane down RVD climbs to the top of the cage. He dives off for the 5 Star Frog Splash….

AND KANE SITS UP with RVD crashing to the ring. Kane hits RVD with the tombstone 1…2…RVD kicks out. Kane, enraged, does it again…1…….2………and another RVD kick out. Kane, furious, takes off a turnbuckle and tries to ram RVD into it but RVD moves out of the way and pushes Kane’s head into the exposed buckle busting him open. RVD nails the coast to coast on Kane and then rams his head again into the exposed turnbuckle. He climbs up and hits the 5 star frog splash for the second time and finally gets the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Rob Van Dam

The cage is lifted the cops run to the ring as Kane is enraged at his loss. They won’t let him get to RVD and they place him back into cuffs, his face bloody, and he is screaming that this is over as Kane is dragged away and RVD is triumphant. Grade: 74

====================

We see a quick clip that shows how Hurricane and Matt Hardy came about. The Intercontinental Championship will be decided…Next, Live on the Clash. Grade: 60

---COMMERCIAL BREAK---

Intercontinental Championship

The Hurricane vs Matt Hardy v1 © w/Shannon Moore

A very fast paced match with lots of near falls. The Hurricane keeps getting close to winning but every time Shannon Moore somehow prevents it. Finally Hurricane hits Shannon with the Shining Wizard sending him to the floor and out the match. Hurricane turns around into the Twist of Fate but kicks out at two. Some more back and forth action and Hurricane hits Matt with a Hurri-Chokeslam for a two count. Matt goes for the Twist of Fate again but Hurricane reverses it into the shining wizard and Hardy kicks out. The Champ rolls Hurricane up and puts his feet on the ropes and Shannon holds onto them for the cheap and quick 3 count.

Winner by Pinfall and still Intercontinental Champion: Matt Hardy Grade: 70

AROUND THE RING---NO MERCY ADDITION

-This Sunday's show is expected to have at least one title change.

-There are no nagging injuries for the Smackdown Roster and the mood backstage is cautiously optimistic.

-The Three Stages of Hell main event is likely to get around 25 minutes.

-The going belief is either the Cruiserweight or United States Title match will lead off the show.

-Some are questioning how the roster can handle three ascending monsters in Rhyno, Big Show and of course Lesnar. Vince McMahon is not one of those and he reportedly has a lot of faith in the current crop of big name babyfaces like Angle, Benoit, and younger guys like John Cena to do their best to tell the stories and make everyone look good.

-Though he isn't likely to show up tonight, Hardcore Holly's broken neck is fully healed and he is ready to return to action.

-There are some big plans being made for the Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania XX, the seeds of which are likely to be planted tonight.

Guererro, out of desperation tries to do the routine where he acts like he was hit while Cena is holding the belt but Cena doesn’t catch the belt, the referee does, and chides Guererro for faking. While Guererro argues, Cena tries to nail him from behind but Guererro pulls the referee into the path, then cheapshots Cena with a low blow. Guererro climbs to the top for the frogsplash but Cena hops up and catches him, delivering a big FU off the top. The Undertaker vs Rhyno

Rhyno spends a majority of the match trying to attack the ribs and though the Undertaker protects himself well, eventually Rhyno gets a shot in and it’s clear the Undertaker is not 100%. Rhyno punishes the Phenom for long stretches of the match but he makes a crucial error when he runs into the post on the outside and now it’s time for him to be on the receiving end. The Undertaker methodically picks Rhyno apart, in and out of the ring. Finally he goes old school, walking the ropes and brings a clubbing blow down on Rhyno’s head. The Undertaker signals that its time and he scoops up Rhyno for the Tombstone but he can’t quite get him up and drops him, immediately clutching his ribs. Rhyno regroups and begins stalking the Undertaker from behind. After a few moments Taker stands tall, seemingly okay for the moment, but when he turns around Rhyno almost breaks him in half with a Gore. Chris Benoit vs The Big Show w/Paul Heyman

Benoit goes on the attack from the opening bell but the Big Show’s size and strength protects him as he throws Benoit around a few times but on the third attempt Benoit goes for the knee, dropping the big man to all fours where he lays on the attack. Heyman shouts orders and the Big Show fights back, launching Benoit over the ropes to the floor. An angry giant follows and lays a beating on Benoit like no other. He delivers a series of chokeslams to Benoit on the outside; the floor, the Spanish announce table, and finally on the steps. Benoit is in a heap and unmoving. When the referee checks him he waves off the Big Show and calls for the bell.

Winner is the Smackdown General Manager

Stephanie McMahon vs Sable

The dislike between these two women is self evident and this is far from a wrestling match and just an old fashioned catfight. Sable has control most of the time but Stephanie turns it up a notch when they go to the outside, eventually tackling Sable over the announce table. This brings Mr. McMahon down to ringside and he interferes after warning the referee that this is now a no disqualification match. Vince makes the mistake of underestimating his daughter and when he turns his back she nails him with a low blow. Sable is rolled back into the ring and Stephanie hits not one but two DDTs before making the cover.

WWE Championship

Three Stages of Hell

Brock Lesnar © w/Paul Heyman vs Kurt Angle

Chair Match

Lesnar does seem slightly overconfident but that it quickly wiped away as Angle shows him up with a series of moves, sending Lesnar to the outside where he grabs a chair and charges back in. Angle ducks the swing and grabs the chair, going to town on the champion. Angle runs to bound off the ropes with the chair when Heyman reaches in and trips him. Angle turns, fire in his eyes but that is the opening Lesnar needs. He hits a released German suplex and continues to assault Angle, picking up the chair and hitting him with a crushing blow to the head. With Heyman shouting instructions, Lesnar hoists the challenger and delivers an F5 onto the chair for the first pinfall.

Winner by Pinfall: Brock Lesnar

Submission Match

Heyman yells at Lesnar to finish him and Lesnar does just that, hammering Angle with the chair again and again, Tazz mentioning he’s lost count after ten strikes. The referee orders Lesnar to stop and he’s shoved aside as Lesnar keeps attacking. The referee calls for the bell and Kurt Angle has tied it up at 1-1 but at what cost?

Winner by Disqualification: Kurt Angle

Ladder Match

Lesnar doesn’t seem to care about that as he goes to the outside and brings a ladder into the ring. In the process he gives Angle a few stomps for good measure, then sets up the ladder climbing up with a broad smile. Half way up though there’s a problem. Angle is up, and he has the chair Lesnar dropped. Racking him across the back twice, Lesnar drops off the ladder onto his feet where he’s met with a shot to the ribs. Next thing he knows, Angle launches him into the corner which causes Lesnar to leave his feet and crack his head on the ring post, busting himself wide open. His eyes are unsteady but he raises his fists to fight out of instinct. That’s fine with Angle who takes advantage of the situation, to whack Lesnar with the chair on his arm, his hip, his back, etc. Lesnar spins around, and Angle quickly moves in, grabbing him from behind and delivering an Angle Slam onto the chair. The crowd is at a fever pitch as Angle, who’s adrenaline is beginning to give way to the pain he’s in, slowly climbs the ladder. Heyman is screaming at Lesnar to get up and he does as Angle has his fingertips on the bottom of the belt. Lesnar climbs the other side and they begin trading right hands. Angle seems to have the advantage and he reaches up for the belt. Lesnar grabs Angle and pulls him up onto his shoulders, before delivering an F5 off the top of the ladder. Angle lands in a heap. Now it’s Lesnar’s turn and he climbs the final couple steps needed to reach up and claim his belt.

Some quick No Mercy notes:

-4.81 Buy rate

-35,153 in attendance

-No major injuries, Lesnar needed a couple stitches

-McMahon very pleased by the show, backstage was said to praise Lesnar/Angle for their main event and Taker for putting Rhyno over. That said, some indicated he had expected the Tag match and the Benoit/Show match to do better thought one anonymous road agent told us its clear Benoit and Show just ‘don’t click’,

-Sources backstage are hinting at a major return for Smackdown this Thursday.

WHAT WILL EVOLUTION DO AS THE HBK ERA BEGINS?

For nearly a year Evolution and Triple H have served hold as the Kings of Raw. Now that HBK, Goldberg and Scott Steiner have aligned to take down the "elite" group, their strangle hold has been loosened when Triple H lost the World Heavyweight Championship last week at the Clash of the Champions. This week on Raw how will Evolution respond and does the new HBK era atop Raw mean more changes are coming?

Last week Goldberg made his surprising return after being decimated by Batista and this week he is back in action on Raw. Don't miss Goldberg's in ring return when he takes on Christian.

Last week on Raw Kane lost to Rob Van Dam in a brutal Steel Cage match which showed that the monster did indeed have a vulnerability. Following the loss, Kane, screamed bloody murder and promised RVD that this wasn't over. Will he make good on his promise? Rob will be in action when he teams with new World Tag Team Champions, Booker T & Goldust, to take on La Resistance and Mark Henry.

Finally Interim General Manager, Mick Foley, has promised to name Raw's main event for Survivor Series this week live on Raw.

Raw is on the road to Survivor Series. Don't Miss Raw Monday Live from the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC on Spike TV at 9pm!

Confirmed Matches:

Goldberg vs Christian

Booker T, Goldust, Rob Van Dam vs La Resistance & Mark Henry

  • 2 weeks later...

OOC: Sorry for the long delay. Real life got crazy for me.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/kimrok1982/TEW%20Diary/WWE/Raw/rawtop_zps772d8be6.jpg

Monday; October, Week 4 - Crown Coliseum - Fayetteville, NC

Raw opens to Triple H and the other 4 members of Evolution arriving to the arena. There are no smiles as they exit the limousine. Mickie James comes running out to them to get a comment about how Triple H is feeling since losing the World Heavyweight Championship last week at the Clash of the Champions. They walk away but Mickie says “Don’t you have anything to say Triple H?” Hunter stops, takes off his sunglasses showing a black eye and an evil, furious expression, and leans into Mickie and says “I promise you; this isn’t over” and with that Evolution walks inside leaving Mickie left to wonder what The Game meant. Grade: 73

====================

Instead of the usual Raw opening we go live to the arena where car crashes are heard and Raw’s Interim General Manager, Mick Foley, makes his way to the ring. He is clearly pleased.

Foley: “Man it’s great to be back here in Fayetteville, North Carolina! (He raises his thumb and smiles as the crowd cheers the cheap pop) What a night we had last week with the return of the Clash of the Champions! I am proud to say that the Clash brought Raw some of its highest ratings in years and we sure did top Smackdown’s pay per view when we crowned a NEW World Heavyweight Champion….the Heartbreak Kid…Shawn Michaels.

But that was last week and I am not a man that believes in looking back, instead I look forward. And I am looking forward to tonight which I’ll get to in a moment and to the Survivor Series. As you know Survivor Series is a joint production of Raw and Smackdown which means each brand will its own main event. So I sat at home in Long Island all weekend long and thought what should Raw’s main event be. And then it hit me with the simmering tension and outright bloodshed that we’ve seen in Evolution’s once domina…..”

Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista come out but Triple H is nowhere to be found.

Flair: “I’m sorry to interrupt you, pal but it sounded like you were about to say something stupid.”

Foley: “Oh, was I?”

Flair: “Yeah, you were. If you were about to imply that because that punk Shawn Michaels got lucky last week that Evolution is not still THE dominating factor on Raw…then you were and you are a moron, Foley. And perhaps Randy did more damage to your brain than we thought when he kicked you down those stairs in MSG and when he gave you the RKO two weeks ago.

Make no mistake about it Foley – Evolution rules Raw and it is only a matter of time before we take back what is ours and that is the World Heavyweight Championship. It doesn’t matter who it is that holds it when we do – be it Michaels, be it Goldberg or Steiner. When the time is right Evolution will plow them over.”

Foley: “I wanna thank you Ric for mentioning those three names because before I was interrupted and reminded of the damage Randy has done to me, hi there by the way, (Orton smirks) I was going to name Raw’s main event for Survivor Series. And quite simply it is Randy Orton, Batista, Triple H and you Ric Flair against Scott Steiner, Goldberg, the New World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels, and…a partner of their choosing.”

Flair is losing it but before he speaks Foley speaks up again.

Foley: “That takes care of Survivor Series but it does not take care of tonight. You see Shawn Michaels wants to be in action tonight and has personally asked for a match. So tonight, in this very ring, in our main event, HBK will compete against……Evolution’s Batista.

Have a nice day!”

Evolution looks stunned, Batista looks a little hopeful, but it is clear they are all wondering how will this fly with Triple H as we have a blockbuster main event. Grade: 84

Trish says she doesn’t want to talk about it and tries to leave but Randy blocks her arm and says that they are together and he deserves an answer. She says that while she loves Randy and believes in Evolution and in the future they can have together; Lita is her best friend and she will not abandon her and that Randy will just have to accept it. Trish walks off to the Evolution locker room ducking under Orton’s arm with Orton looking mad. Grade: 68

Bischoff makes his way out to the ring.

Bischoff: “The whole world is waiting for Survivor Series in a few weeks and I know why. You people are praying for the moment that Stone Cold Steve Austin gets his big hands around my scrawny little neck, aren’t you? (The crowd cheers)

Well I have news for you and I have news for Austin: I’m a survivor.

I am the only man to take the fight to Vince McMahon and kick him square in the balls. I came so close to bankrupting this company and you know what happened? Vince McMahon recognized the ruthlessness that lies within me which is why he hired me to lead Raw. Me? Eric Bischoff.

Do you people really think that I do not have a plan? Oh sure I am going to get my ass kicked, I have no doubt about that, but it won’t be the first time and it won’t be the last. I am the man that has brought success to Raw since coming here. I brought Hot Lesbian Action to Raw. I created the World Heavyweight Championship and put it on the flagship of this company, Triple H. I created the most innovative match in history The Elimination Chamber. I did that because Eric Bischoff provides shocking leadership.

Now Linda McMahon may not realize my talents but Vince McMahon does. And soon all of you will as well because I promise you that soon, very, very soon Eric Bischoff will shock the world once more and prove yet again why I am the only man to lead Raw.

And Stone Cold? If you want to take my brand from me then you had better bring the damned Marines because that is the only way I won’t walk out victorious at Survivor Series.”

Bischoff drops the mic and walks to the back. Grade: 81

A fast paced match early on, eventually Big Dave grounds the Heartbreak Kid and starts to use power moves to hurt the Champion’s back. He hits a spinebuster for a 2 count. He nails HBK with a Batista bomb but at the last second Michaels kicks out. Batista goes for it again but Michaels rolls down his back and cradles him for a 2 count. Now the champion has control and starts using speed maneuvers to try to take Batista down. Michaels hits him with a cross body for a 2 count and reverses an attempted German suplex. But soon Batista has Michaels down again when out of nowhere HBK hits Sweet Chin Music. Just as he crawls over

“IT’S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME” hits as Ric Flair comes out. Michaels is distracted as Ric grabs the mic.

He tells Shawn that the Champ told the world that this wasn’t over and unfortunately for “him” the champ is a man of his word. Michaels looks confused and just then Orton and Triple H drag out a young man, in his early 20s, who is badly beaten and bloodied and they throw him on the stage.

Evolution starts kicking both men when suddenly Goldberg and Steiner hit the ring.

Evolution backs out of the ring and Steiner and Goldberg go to check on Michaels. He pushes them off as he crawls to the young man. Vince> That’s enough of that.

Stephanie> Oh no there’s more of that to come. You did everything you could do to have this….what was it that Chris Jericho used to call me…oh yes…you did everything you could do to have this filthy, dirty, disgusting, skanky, brutal, bottom feeding, trash bag ho take my job and it wasn’t good enough.

Vince> Be that as it may, none of that matters.

Stephanie> Why’s that?

Vince> Because you’re…fired! And I want to recognize the new General Manager of Smackdown…Sable!

[stephanie looks shocked, then reclaims her composure nodding slightly and goes to leave the ring but stops.]

Stephanie> You know dad, I sort of had an idea that you’d do something like this. You’re a man used to getting his way one way or the other. So I took out a little insurance policy. Right before we went out for our match I completed the signing of Smackdown’s newest Superstar. I should probably mention I signed him to a LIFETIME contract so you’ll never say those two words to him that you just said to me.

[Vince looks concerned and confused…and when the music hits, he’s speechless.

[The Hulkster comes down to the ring, and holds the ropes open for Stephanie to leave then enters, playing to the crowd before coming face to face with Mr. McMahon.]

Hogan> I could say a lot of things to you right now but I think the most appropriate thing would be to say you’re standing in my ring..brother, so hit the bricks and take your floozy with you.

[Vince looks furious but Hogan also looks ready for a fight and so reluctantly he leaves the ring with Sable as Hogan continues playing to the Hulkamaniacs.]

[Torie Wilson catches up with Stephanie McMahon as she’s putting her suitcase in her car.]

Torrie> Stephanie! What are your plans now?

Stephanie> Well, I’m going to go home and decide on the next step in my life whether that is in the WWE or outside of it.

Torrie> And what about Hulk Hogan?

Stephanie> (grin) He’s my dad’s problem now.

[stephanie gets into her car and slowly drives off.]

[The WWE Tag Team Champions are in the ring, with big smiles]

Haas> We stand before you, YOUR WWE Tag Team Champions. Many of you may have thought we couldn’t defend the titles last Sunday but we proved you wrong. So tonight it’s a celebration. We have our buddy Kennedy setting up a premium penthouse with some ladies and we thought we’d just stop by and say to all of you….what did we want to say Shelton?

Benjamin> We told you so.

[They bust up laughing, ready to leave the ring when Billy Gunn comes to the stage.]

Gunn> Fellas, fellas, as a former multi-time tag champion let me congratulate you but I also am out here for business. Namely those titles. Now I know you have a party to get to but being the fighting champions that you are, how about you put those belts on the line right here against me and my partner.

Haas> You think you can take these belts off us?

Gunn> Give us a shot and we’ll see.

Benjamin> Okay, I could use a little warmup Charlie. Bring out your guy and lets get this over with. I got big decisions to make tonight like blonde or brunette.

<iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/dUnI94cOKTQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

[The crowd jumps to its feet as Benjamin and Haas exchange shared shocked expressions. The Road Dogg is back and he and Gunn exchange a quick hug before the accustomed entrance.]

Dogg> Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, D-Generation X proudly brings to you its former TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD….the Road Dogg Jesse James, the badass Billy Gunn, the NEW…AGE…OUTLAWS!

WWE Tag Team Championship

World’s Greatest Tag Team © vs The New Age Outlaws

The champs still look caught off guard by these developments and the Outlaws take advantage showing us seamless tags and glimpses of years past. Haas is finally able to stem the tide and get things going their way again but when Benjamin accidentally floors his partner with an errant dropkick, Road Dogg is there to hit a spinning neckbreaker and tags in Billy Gunn who waits Benjamin out then hits the Fameasser for the 1-2-3.

Non-Title/No Disqualification Match

Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs Rikishi

Rikishi and Lesnar collide, literally in the middle of the ring and for the first few minutes it’s Rikishi who’s in charge but Lesnar shows a unique ability to flip the switch and go into offensive overdrive. He batters Rikishi inside and outside the ring, at one point delivering an F5 into the ringpost. Lesnar isn’t satisfied and grabs a ringside chair nearly bending it with how hard he hits Rikishi with it. Lesnar picks him up and rolls him into the ring and finally puts it to an end with another F5 and makes the cover.

[Lesnar isn’t done. The referee tries to get between him and Rikishi but Lesnar flings him into the corner and goes back on the attack, peppering Rikishi with rights and lefts. Heyman keeps telling him to make him an example. Lesnar picks up the chair and waits, showing immense patience, until Rikishi gets to his feet and Lesnar connects with a headshot which makes the audience grimace. Heyman gets in the ring and raises Lesnar’s arm as the show ends.]

AROUND THE RING

-Angus Thatcher, or as many IWC members know him Nigel McGuiness, made his debut on Smackdown this week and reviews internally are very high on him. He may not be on television every week but they think he may have something special about him.

-It's television contract time and WWE is hard at work securing new deals. While it may be unlikely some sources say that one of the 'A shows' may be finding a new home soon.

-WWE was in the black again in October, making a little more than they did in September. They'll be releasing a full quarterly financial report at the end of November.

-D-Von Dudley suffered a minor injury though not much is known other than he's okay but it caused a planned segment with him and Bubba Ray to be scrapped on Monday night.

-Stephanie McMahon is likely off TV for the remainder of 2003.

-The "young man" attacked on Raw is former TNA wrestler Michael Shane

-Expect the Undertaker-Rhyno feud to continue through 2003.

SHAWN MICHAELS SITS DOWN WITH JR IN THE WAKE OF EVOLUTION'S BRUTAL ASSAULT

Cleveland's Gund Arena has been the site of some monumental moments in WWE history but perhaps none more emotional than this Monday's Raw when World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, sits down with JR one-on-one.

Last week on Raw it was announced that HBK would captain a team against Evolution at Survivor Series. His team would include Scott Steiner and Goldberg and a man not yet named. Evolution responded with vicious brutality when they beat up a young man and dragged him out to the ring during HBK's match with Batista. The sight of this man sent Shawn racing from the ring and into a trap where Evolution ganged up on him before Goldberg and Steiner could make the save. The last image we saw was Michaels crawling to this unconscious man. This week on Raw JR will find out this as well as the reaction HBK has to this assault.

In response to the assault, Goldberg and Steiner, have demanded a handicap main event. They will take on Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton to try to gain a measure of revenge.

Will chaos reign on Raw? Find out Live from the Gund Arena in Cleveland, OH; this Monday on Spike TV at 9pm!

Confirmed Matches:

Goldberg & Scott Steiner vs Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton in a Handicap Match
