Friday Week 2 October

FCW Proudly Presents… FREEDOM’s Gate

Live From Gymnasium Aguada (Puerto Rico)

Attendance: 1000 (Sold Out)

Segment 1:

The show opens with a look at Puerto Rican Power doing rehab on his leg. You can see Power working with doctors and holding onto bars as he tries to put pressure on his leg. The doctor seems very enthusiastic and says he thinks Power is going to be able to make a full recovery in no time. Suddenly there is movement in the background and before anyone sees it coming Titan attacks Power from behind taking out his bad leg. Power falls to the ground in agony and Titan continues to stomp on the bad leg of the champion until security floods the ring and pulls him out.

Rating: C

Sweet N Sour Vs. The Latino Kings

Singh and Kirk continue their quest to prove they are the best tag team in Puerto Rico and that means going through The Latino Kings. This match had plenty of action in it with all 4 men displaying tremendous speed and agility. It looked like Sweet N Sour were going to pull out another huge victory after Singh nailed Rudy with a running DDT then hit the top rope to finish him off. However, as he lept to the top rope the music of Ox Mastadon played and the big man stepped out onto the stage. This caused Singh the pause on the top rope and turn his attention to Mastadon and gave Velasquez time to recover and hit the Street Cutter from the top rope.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, The Latino Kings defeated Sweet N Sour in 9:32 when Rudy Velasquez defeated The Sensational Singh by pinfall

with a Street Cutter after a distraction from Ox Mastadon.

Rating: D

Tigre Salvaje Jr. Vs. La Sombra Jr.

Tigre is making his first appearance in months since being “sacrificed” by Messiah. He seemed to be more intense and focused now than ever before as he took the fight to Sombra bouncing off the ropes and nailing him with an elbow. These two put on what could be the match of the night as they put their bodies on the line much to the delight of the fans.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Tigre Salvaje Jr defeated La Sombra Jr in 7:48 by pinfall with a Salvaje Suplex.

Rating: D+

Segment 2:

We go next to what looks like the basement where Citizen X sits in a “throne” next to Messiah.

X: “Tonight marks the beginning of a new order. You see, we’ve all been lied to, we’ve all been made to believe things that just aren’t true. We are told if you just believe in yourself you can be anything. My opponent Matt Sparrow wants you to believe dreams come true, and heros exist. But we are smarter than that. We know the truth, we know sometimes your best just isn’t good enough.”

Messiah: “Matt Sparrow is a man who puts his body on the line. He claims to not be afraid of injury.”

Messiah laughs as he slaps himself in the face harder and harder.

Messiah: “Well Matt Sparrow has never felt real pain. He doesn’t know what it’s like to fear for his life as his father beats him, but I do, and after tonight so will Matt Sparrow.”

X: “Soon the world will burn and from the ashes a new world will be formed. Those that stand with me during that time will be rewarded, and those that don’t...will...perish!”

Citizen X and Messiah laugh in unison as the camera fades.

Rating: D+

Matt Sparrow Vs. Citizen X

Citizen X makes his in ring debut with Messiah at the ring looking on. Sparrow is also a new hire here in FCW and his style meshes well with our product. This was another flier vs brawler type match. Both men looked very impressive in their debut, and unfortunately for Matt Sparrow he couldn’t come away with the victory.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Citizen X defeated Matt Sparrow in 11:35 by pinfall with a Flaming Anarchy.

Rating: D

FCW People’s Championship Match

Matt Hocking Vs. Mutant

In a rematch from last month these two picked up right where they left off. Mutant attacked Hocking before he could even get in the ring, but just like last month Hocking wouldn’t stay down. However, Hocking also couldn’t get Mutant to stay down and just like last month Mutant lost control and brutally assaulted Hocking causing another DQ finish.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Matt Hocking defeated Mutant in 7:45 by disqualification. Matt Hocking makes defence number 8 of his FCW People's Championship title.

Rating: D-

Segment 3:

The attack on Hocking continues with Mutant going absolutely berserk. Streetz came into the ring and tried to talk some sense into his client but got thrown across the ring for his efforts. Eventually Mutant decided he did enough damage and calmed himself down leaving bothj Hocking and Streetz down in the ring.

Rating: D-

Bradford Peverell Vs. Titan

Bradford continues to impress everyone backstage and as a result he’s up against one of the top heels in the company. A win here could really catapult Bradford into the main event scene. Bradford looked great in this one not really allowing Titan to get comfortable in the ring. At one point in the match it actually looked like Bradford was going to score the upset, however while Carl Batch had the referee distracted Handsome Stranger came out of nowhere and leveled Peverell allowing Titan to finish him off.

In a bout that had great heat and some decent in-ring action, Titan defeated Bradford Peverell in 15:09 by pinfall with a Titanic Choke Slam following interference from Handsome Stranger.

Rating: D

Segment 4:

We go backstage next where the 937lb express are laughing and joking about costing Sweet N Sour the match when Kirk and Singh come around the corner and take them to the ground. They then continue their assault on the tag champs getting some well deserved revenge for what happened earlier.

Rating: E

Grandmaster Phunk Vs. Handsome Stranger

Phunk is one of our newest members. he’s more of a brawler than what FCW is used to, but I’m hoping he provides some contrast to the brawlers who do have on the roster. These two men matched up extremely well and the match was very back and forth. Stranger started to pull ahead though and looked like he may pick up the victory when Bradford Peverell hit the ring and began attacking him getting some pay back for what happened in the previous match but getting Phunk disqualified in the process.

In a bout that had great heat and some decent in-ring action, Handsome Stranger defeated Grandmaster Phunk in 14:59 when Grandmaster Phunk was disqualified when Bradford Peverell ran in and attacked Handsome Stranger.

Rating: D+

Segment 5:

The end of the match did not stop Stranger and Peverell from continuing their brawl. The two men spilled outside of the ring and continued their brawl all the way up the ramp with neither man getting the clear advantage as the show ended.

Rating: C

Final Rating: D+

Things have been a whirlwind since taking the head booker job from Stranger. Gone are the nights at the beach, replaced by a cramped windowless office that smells like feet. Puerto Rican Power has been keeping me busy of late. He recognized the success of the talent trade he had and asked me to set up more with other various indy feds. As a result, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, we have more stars on loan during our shows than ever before. This has created a pretty good buzz around the island and allowed us to keep the matches fresh.

It hasn’t all been good news those, Power has complained to me more than once about his lack of involvement in matches. He doesn’t appreciate that I barely use him in the ring. I try my best to avoid the conversation, but the truth is he’s awful to work with. He insists on winning every match. Even in a feud when I try to convince him he has to put the other guys over he reminds me who is in charge and ensures I book him “correctly”. Luckily I was able to convince him an “injury” is the best of both worlds, of course I can only keep him off screen so long.

As if that didn’t keep me busy enough he has now asked me to look into the possibility of forming an alliance. He has seen the success of COTT and now wants to looking into starting one of his own, one “the hispanic heritage can be proud of”. Of course that translates into me placing phone calls all over Mexico.

Friday Week 2 November

FCW Proudly Presents… FREEDOM to Choose

Live From Gymnasium Aguada (Puerto Rico)

Attendance: 1000 (Sold Out)

Segment 1:

The show opens in a dark graveyard, in the distance you can see 2 shadowy figures kneeling over a grave. As the camera zooms in we see Citizen X and Messiah locked in what looks like a prayer over the grave of Shawn Gonzalez.

Messiah: “Pain comes in many shapes and colors. some pain is physical…”

Messiah breaks into a creepy laugh

Messiah: “It’s the pain you feel when your mother has had too much to drink and she hits you, and hits you AND HITS YOU until you’re a crumbled carcass on the floor.”

Messiah starts to calm down from perhaps a bad memory of his childhood?

Messiah: “Other pain is mental. It’s when you lose someone you care for and you feel like you can’t go on without them.”

Messiah starts to laugh

Messiah: “That’s the kind of pain Carlos Gonzalez has felt. But, after tonight, he will learn what real pain is. He will see what it feels like to not be able to pick himself off the ground. He will learn, the sweet taste of his own blood. And he’ll SCREAM, and he’ll SCREAM, and he’ll beg for mercy. But he won’t find any, no one will be there to save him… NOONE!”

Rating: D+

Carlos Gonzalez Vs. Citizen X

Carlos is coming into this match after a successful program with The Latino Kings. If Citizen X isn’t careful he could easily lose here tonight. The match itself was about as good as I expected it to be. Carlos went to the air early to get his opponent off his feet and Citizen X used his brute strength to his advantage. In the end it was the twisted Citizen X who came out victorious.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Citizen X defeated Carlos Gonzalez in 7:47 by pinfall with a Flaming Anarchy.

Rating: D-

Segment 2:

Carl Batch is backstage next with his client, Titan. He reminds everyone that next month if Puerto Rican Power is unable to compete then he will be forced to vacate the FCW championship, and when he does Titan will be right there waiting.

Rating: C+

Mainstream Hernandez Vs. The Barbarian

Another solid match by The Barbarian and I’m starting to trust him more and more. He can’t really be counted on to carry a match but put into a match with someone solid and he can at least hold his own. Unfortunately for him though Mainstream Hernandez was flat out wrestled him tonight.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Mainstream Hernandez defeated The Barbarian in 11:53 by pinfall with an Apparition #14.

Rating: D

Segment 3:

As Hernandez is celebrating his victory in the ring he is attacked from behind by a man in wearing all black to include a mask. The masked man laid the boots to Hernandez before disappearing backstage.

Rating: E+

Segment 4

The 937lb Express is in the ring next and they call out Sweet N. Sour. The Express admit they may have underestimated Sweet N Sour and if they can find a way to beat their next opponents they will grant them one more chance at the gold. However, if they lose they will next receive another shot again.

Rating: E

Sweet N Sour Vs. Hellspawn 666 and Slayyer

Hellspawn and Slayyer are on loan to us tonight from Mexico and for those who don’t know they are a very established top level team. Sweet N Sour needs to be on their game tonight though because a win here gets them a shot at the tag team titles. Slayyer started the match completely dominating Singh and wouldn’t allow him to make the tag. Sweet N Sour would eventually fight back and gain plenty of momentum though before a low blow from Hellspawn turned the tide. These teams continued to go back and forth when King Kong Kennedy rushed down to the ring with what looked like brass knuckles. Kennedy climbed up on the apron just as Kirk was getting whipped into the ropes, however he would reverse it at the last second and it was Slayyer who ended up getting his with the knuckles.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Sweet N Sour defeated Hellspawn 666 and Slayyer in 13:02 when Kirk Jameson defeated Slayyer by pinfall after a botched interference by King Kong Kennedy.

Rating: D

Segment 5:

We go backstage again, this time we have Streetz backstage talking to his client. He tells Mutant he needs to remain focused and not his lose cool. He goes on to say he has used his influence to contact the NAACP and force FCW to give his client one more match for the belt, this time however it will be a no DQ match.

Rating: D-

The Puerto Rican Boys Vs. Hell’s Bouncer and Jared Johnson

I don’t think anyone was too shocked to see how this one turned out. Johnson a relative no one in Puerto Rico and Hell’s Bouncer completely destroyed their opponents in this one. In fact Johnson barely even saw any action as Bouncer destroyed both members of The Puerto Rican Boys almost on his own.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Jared Johnson and Hell's Bouncer defeated The Puerto Rican Boys in 5:33 when Hell's Bouncer defeated Kid San Juan by pinfall with a Damnation Drop.

Rating: D-

Bradford Peverell and Grandmaster Phunk Vs. Handsome Stranger and Titan

he beginning of this match was fun. Grandmaster Phunk danced his way down to the ring where dozens of screaming fans. Even Bradford let loose a little and did a quick jig before they were interrupted by Stranger and Titan. The actual match was just as good with Peverell holding his own against Stranger. They weren’t in the ring together long though before Titan was tagged in and started laying waste to Peverell. This four men went back and forth with everyone getting an equal share of the action. The end of the match came when Titan and Phunk were brawling clear out in the crowd. Peverell was getting pummelled in the middle of the ring by Stranger, but Stranger took his eye off his opponent for just a second and he was hit with a hard left hand laying him out cold.

In a bout that had great heat and good action, Bradford Peverell and Grandmaster Phunk defeated Handsome Stranger and Titan in 13:19 when Bradford Peverell defeated Handsome Stranger by pinfall with a Dream Left Hook.

Rating: D+

Segment 6

After the match Titan rushes to the ring to take out Peverell, but he was blindsided by none other than Puerto Rican Power. The champion was limping heavily and had a boot on his foot, but that didn’t stop him from taking all these months of frustration out on Titan much to the delight of the fans.

Rating: C+

Billy Russell Vs. Snap Dragon

Despite Dragon being a heel, he got a huge pop when he came down to the ring. His style of wrestling fits perfectly with our product and is a great change of pace from the rest of our Main Eventers. Russell did a great job keeping Dragon on the mat, but Dragon continued to reverse Russell’s holds into all kinds of crazy moves he’s never seen before. Eventually though, Russell was able to take Dragon down and keep him down landing a Grounded Knee Flurry.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Billy Russell defeated Snap Dragon in 14:06 by pinfall with a Grounded Knee Flurry.

O.O.C. The show should be up tomorrow, just making some final tweaks.

After spending countless hours in the Mexico Hispanic Heritage Association has finally been created, much to the delight of Puerto Rican Power. It wasn't easy, getting this alliance setup, Power really wanted either OLLIE or SOTBPW to join the alliance, but they wanted nothing to do with it. SOTBPW just because they "didn't need us", and OLLIE declined simply because they were already a part of COTT, although they did offer to work with us by doing talent trades.

The alliance consists of us, Comite Internacional do Lucha Libra, and Mexico Premier Wrestling Federation.

Extremo Moderno Lucha Libre wanted to be part of the alliance, but Power would have no part of it. He said what they are doing over there isn't wrestling and he would have no part of them.

The benefits of this alliance, is absolutely huge, they are:

Prestige and Momentum are affected by others

All profits will be shared in a ‘pot’

Can use aliance loans

Can propose talent trades

Will take no damage from other members in national and regional battles.

Power claims, he set it up this way so that Mexican wrestling can stay prevalent in the world and some of the greatest companies in the world will no longer have to worry about closing their doors. If those are in fact his true intensions then I think this will be a great alliance for all parties.

Friday Week 2 December

FCW Proudly Presents… One Night of FREEDOM

Live From Gymnasium Aguada (Puerto Rico)

Attendance: 1000 (Sold Out)

Billy Russell Vs. Hell’s Bouncer

These are two of our biggest stars going at it to start things off. Russell has had his share of bad luck this year, but he started this match out looking like he has going to score a huge win. Bouncer was able to kick out after a 2 count and then took Russell to the outside where he started taking his opponent apart. Bouncer went for a chokeslam on the outside, but was blocked by Russell then sent into the steel steps. These two men continued to throw everything they had at one another. These men battled it out for 20 minutes and were eventually pulled apart due to a time limit draw.

In a bout that had great heat and good action, Billy Russell drew with Hell's Bouncer in 20:00 when the time limit expired.

Rating: C-

Segment 1:

We go backstage next where Matt Hocking is preparing his match against Mutant.

Hocking: “San Juan, your champion is in the HOUSE!!!!”

The fans cheer loving the charismatic Matt Hocking.

Hocking: “You know, all month I’ve listen to the doubters and the haters. They say, Matt you can’t beat the monster Mutant. Matt, this match was made specifically so Mutant can defeat you.”

Hocking pauses and smiles a big toothy grin at the camera.

Hocking: “Well, let me tell you this, I AM the people’s champion for a reason. You see, you can doubt me all you want, in fact I want you to, I need you to, because THAT, is when Matt Hocking proves what he’s really worth.”

Rating: D+

Matt Sparrow Vs. La Sombra Jr

A more modern day Lucha match here, much to the delight of the fans. Sparrow is one of our newer signings, but he’s already showing what a great addition he is. Meanwhile, Sombra continues to impress putting on great match after great match. He saw a lot of reversals and counters in this match, along with plenty of top rope antics. In the end though it was the birdman who picked up the victory.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Matt Sparrow defeated La Sombra Jr in 9:35 by pinfall with a Bird Brain Buster.

Rating: D

Tag Team Championship Match:

The 937lb Express Vs. Sweet N Sour

These 4 men have been going at it now for the majority of the year and there is no love loss between them. Sweet N Sour know they need to get the job done today because they may not get another chance. Kirk started the match off for the challengers and immediately went on the offensive. He worked the legs of Ox Masadon trying to get the big man down and keep him down. Kennedy was able to get himself into the match by provoking Singh into the ring then double teaming Kirk to turn the tide of the match. This match ended up being a lot longer than most of the matches by the champs, but they were able to keep up with the pace. In the end though the fans got behind the challengers and Ox found himself submitting to a Bombay Duck.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Sweet N Sour defeated The 937lb Express in 10:08 when The Sensational Singh defeated Ox Mastadon by submission with a Bombay Duck. Sweet N Sour win the FCW Tag Team titles.

Rating: D-

Segment 2:

After the match Sweet N Sour are celebtrating thier victory with the fans when the lights go out. After several seconds the lights are restored but the newly crowned champs are out cold in the middle of the ring. Standing over them are none other than Leper Messiah and Citizen X.

Rating: E+

FCW People’s Championship No DQ Match:

Matt Hocking Vs. Mutant

Hocking has technically won his last 2 matches against Mutant, although looking at him after the matches you wouldn’t be able to tell. The odds seemed to be stacked against him in this match as Mutant has lost both matches in the past by DQ, now there should be nothing standing in his way. Hocking came to this match prepared bringing a chair in the ring with him. However, even hitting the big man over the head with it would not bring him down. For the most part these two men stayed in the ring, however, when Mutant went for a chokeslam onto the chair, Hocking blocked it by kicking the big man in the groin then DDTing him onto the chair. From there he did the impossible, going to the top rope and landing a Hock Shock then scoring the victory.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Matt Hocking defeated Mutant in 9:32 by pinfall with a Hock Shock. Matt Hocking makes defence number 9 of his FCW People's Championship title.

Rating: D-

Segment 3:

After the match Streetz got into the ring and began spitting insults at the big man who was still on the mat trying to shake off the cobwebs. Streetz continued the verbal assault wagging his finger in the face of his client. Eventually Mutant had enough and grabbed his manager by the throat as he stood up. After much pleading and apologizing Mutant released his manager without choke slamming him onto the chair.

Rating: D-

The Puerto Rican Boys Vs. The Latino Kings

This match was better than I expected. The Kings have had some trouble staying relevant since their program with Gonzalez. The Puerto Rican Boys on the other hand have been nothing but jobbers as of late, but they held their own in this one and the fans seemed to enjoy it. Their effort was short lived however when Island Boy got pinned by Rudy.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, The Latino Kings defeated The Puerto Rican Boys in 8:05 when Rudy Velasquez defeated Island Boy Apollo by pinfall with a Street Cutter.

Rating: D-

Bradford Peverell Vs. Handsome Stranger

These two have had some beef lately after Bradford stepped in to stop Stranger from destroying Laine. Stranger set the pace in this one, but it wasn’t long before Peverell was able to turn the tide. These two continued their back and forth pace until Stranger hit a hard running forearm on Peverell. As the referee as checking on Peverell Stranger reached into his shorts pulling out a pair of brass knuckles. He then leveled Peverell and got the easy win.

In a bout that had great heat and good action, Handsome Stranger defeated Bradford Peverell in 14:48 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics.

Rating: D+

Segment 4:

A video is played next showing the year long feud between Puerto Rican Power and Titan

Rating: B-

FCW Championship Match: Puerto Rican Power Vs. Titan

There was no love lost between these two and they went at it before the bell even rang. Titan immediately went after the bad leg of Power, trying to keep the big man down. It seemed to have the desired effect for Titan as the champ went for the San Juan Rush early in this one but stumble a bit as he bounced off the ropes leading to a hard DDT by the challenger. These guys eventually took things outside where Batch held the arms of Power as Titan looked to tee off on him with a chair, however, Power was able to spin around at the last second and Titan smashed the chair over his manager. With Carl Batch out of the picture Power was able to focus on Titan and that was not good for Titan.

In a match that had a fantastic crowd and good action, Puerto Rican Power defeated Titan in 11:51 by pinfall with a San Juan Rush. Puerto Rican Power makes defence number 2 of his FCW Puerto Rican title.

Rating: C

Hoping to turn things around here he started off with his usual vicious strikes pummeling Phunk and bringing him to his knees. However, like matches past, Phunk was able to outlast the initial assault before going on the offensive. Streetz, in an attempt to give his client the advantage climbed onto the apron and began insulting Phunk. As it turned out though, it was a pretty decent match in it’s own right. Johnson is one of the best in ring fundamentals and The Barbarian is decent as well. They saw a decent amount of offense here, before doing the job effectively to the established team of the Puerto Rican Boys.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Puerto Rican Boys defeated Jared Johnson and The Barbarian in 5:13 when Island Boy Apollo defeated Jared Johnson by pinfall with a Welcome To The Island.</p><p> Rating: D-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mainstream Hernandez Vs. I don’t usually have to worry about either of these guys disappointing me and today was no exception. Hernandez started things off fast bouncing Dragon off the rope then landing a standing drop kick. He decided to go to the well again, but Dragon had other plans using his momentum to jump off the second rope and flip onto his opponent. We then seen the match go to the outside as both men actually used the guard rail to balance on before leaping off putting on a great aerial clinic for the guys in the back. Later in the match we saw the masked man make his way to the ring, but he simply looked on. While I wouldn’t go as far as to say Hernandez was distracted he definitely kept his eye on the man on the outside and that would be enough of a distraction for Dragon to get the victory.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Snap Dragon defeated Mainstream Hernandez in 16:45 by pinfall with a Dragon's Breath.</p><p> Rating: D+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>FCW #1 Contender 10 Man Battle Royal:</strong></p><p><strong> Billy Russell, Vs. The first elimination was at the 1:15 mark when Citizen X eliminated Matt Sparrow with a vicious clothesline over the top rope after Sparrow was stunned by a Mainstream Hernandez dropkick. Things got interesting after that as Citizen X went on a bit of a tear eliminating Tigre Salvaje, La Sombra and Billy Russell in quick succession. This left Snap Dragon, Titan, Hell’s Bouncer, Mainstream Hernandez, Bradford Peverell and Citizen X left. From there the “little guys” started teaming against the “big guys” and it looked like Titan was going to be the next to go when he was knocked over the top rope and landed on the apron. Snap Dragon went to finish him with a missile dropkick , but he was brushed away by Titan who then grabbed him by his throat. As he lifted Snap off the ground though Dragon was drop kicked in the back by Mainstream Hernandez and both Snap and Titan went to the floor and were eliminated. With just 4 left these guys dug in and tried to stay in the middle of the ring. Sadly, Bradford Peverell was next to be eliminated this time by Hell’s Bouncer. At the same time Citizen X looked like he was about to eliminate Hernandez as he dumped him onto the ring apron and looked to finish him off with a clothesline, however, Hernandez ducked it and pulled down the top rope sending Citizen X tumbling out of the ring. With just Hell’s Bouncer and Mainstream Hernandez left this was anyone’s match. This all changed though when the masked man once again came to ringside taunting Hernandez. Hernandez attempted to ignore the masked man for the most part, but that all changed when the masked man took his mask of to reveal… Steven Parker! Hernandez froze for just a second when he saw Parker, and that was all the time Bouncer needed to send him flying over the top rope. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Hell's Bouncer won a battle royal in 19:38.
