Deadly Overloaded Action

This is absolutely brilliant.

I'm genuinely impressed by the passion that's obviously been put in to this, the attention to detail and the obvious time taken to produce something that brings your fed to life like this. The use of graphics is key here, as it really makes the dynasty stand out and breathes life in to things. I'm only a couple of pages in to reading this, but I just had to stop and say what an excellent job has been done here. I look forward to reading the rest, and have subscribed to this thread so will follow each time something new comes up.

Keep up the great work.

Just a heads up for those who are interested in reading episode 2 of DOA "Rapid Assault", the results are available on the previous page! It's starting to build some new storylines/characters, while also keeping the focus on Akima/Greg Black. Overall, while I'm still working through the kinks, I'm pretty happy where we're headed!

Thank you, both! :)

I'm a very visual guy; so, I always like to put a new spin on each project. With DOA, I felt that a whole new visual aspect (background of wrestlers included) would really bring something new/special to the overall project. Thus far, I'km really happy with how it's come together (and how it continues to push the vibe of the company).

The hardest thing about booking/writing for the cornellverse is trying to 'bring the company/characters to life'. I find this to be even harder when using a created company. So, I knew I needed to do something extra to get the rebellious/in your face vibe that DOA possesses. I have some other ideas to push this along but, for now, it's all coming together well!

Also, thanks for subscribing! :) While this project may not move as fast as previous ones, I do have a lot of great things planned for down the road.

BREAKING NEWS: Freddy Huggins re-signs with TCW as DOA 'pulls out' of negotiations

http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b579/RiseofDOA/PWH%20News/SeanRivers_zpsa2333c38.jpg

It appears that Freddy Huggins will be returning to Total Championship Wrestling after Tommy Cornell “got his man”; signing the 29 year-old wrestler to a new 4 year contract. While the details of the contract are not entirely known at this time, several inside sources have claimed that Huggins will be remarkably compensated for an up-and-coming midcard talent.

At one point, it seemed as though the young Huggins would potentially sign with the Arcadia-funded Deadly Overloaded Action. During this time, it was said that Huggins contract would garner him $120,000 a year over a 4 year period. In turn, there were rumors that company officials were willing to ‘tailor the show around him’. In the end though, it’s said that they pulled out of negotiations after realizing Huggins was better suited as a heel and didn’t want to invest so much money in such a character (especially since DOA is already heel-heavy). While officials are willing to sign a big contract with a ‘hot talent’, it’s said that it will need to be the ‘perfect guy’.

You can watch Freddy Huggins in action this week on TCW “Total Wrestling.”

MADMAN BOONE vs. STEVEN PARKER

"Wrestling with Insanity"

How do you defeat insanity? That’s the challenge set forth for Eric Tyler’s handpicked protégé in the new “Traditionalist” Steven Parker. After delivering an open challenge last week, confident that Parker could beat anyone on the DOA roster, their brash confidence was met with a truly off-the-wall challenger in the bat wielding, beer chugging, Madman Boone. Knowing this, while the new “Traditionalist” has been heralded for his in-ring prowess despite his young age, does anyone really expect an arm drag to work on someone like Boone?

To call Madman Boone’s wrestling style unorthodox would be a vast understatement. The crazed weapon swinging psycho is known mostly for a string of simple, age-old, wrestling maneuvers and a complex love of anything he can pummel others with. So, how does someone like Steven Parker compete with someone like this? Several DOA wrestling veterans have claimed that Tyler’s protégé will need to dominate early & stay on top to do so. For, if you give Boone an opening, there’s a lot of craziness (and violence) that will most certainly take place.

“Oh, there WILL be blood” was the quote given by Madman Boone during a one-sided backstage conversation after last week’s “Rapid Assault.” Let’s see if that does come to pass as both men compete in the opening match of the night!

Madman Boone vs. "THE FUTURE IS NOW" Steven Parker w/ Eric Tyler

[standard Singles Match]

Wait, so Madman say "there will be blood" but it's a standard singles match? I'm guessing Madman brings a weapon in and this gets thrown out.

Dean Waldorf vs. Shady vs. Tank

[Triple Threat Match]

[Tag team partners are banned from ringside]

Have to go with Tank, he's the best performer and needs momentum the most.

Acid w/ Rebel Barbi vs. “THE KOA WARRIOR” Akima Brave

[standard Singles Match]

Acid has the manager and the win

"NO JOKE" Greg Black vs. "HOT SHOT" Matthew Keith

[standard Singles Match]

Black is closer to the title picture and more over.

Samuel Curran:
Do you HEAR that ovation?
[Crowd roaring in the background]
That’s right, there’s only ONE wrestling show that can rile you up like that… It’s DOA “Rapid Assault!”
[Pauses]
We’re back for another week of LIVE, in your face, action and boy-o-boy do we have one hell of a show set up for you tonight!

Alex Braun:
That’s right, Sam. Look no further than our main event here tonight as “No Joke” Greg Black will go one-on-one with the “Hot Shot” himself, Matthew Keith. As purely a wrestling fan, I can’t wait to see this one. We’ve got two standout technitions with the ability to really ‘go’ in that ring tonight. I’m not sure WHO will walk away with the win but I’m positive it’s going to be one HELL of a match!

Samuel Curran:
We also…
[Noise heard off-camera; Curran doesn’t speak for around 5 seconds]
Do we have him?
[3 more seconds pass]
I’m sorry folks but it seems we’re going to have to cut our opening short. Ernie Turner is backstage and it sounds like he has HUGE news handed down by DOA officials.

Alex Braun:
I wonder what this is all about…

Samuel Curran:
I have NO Idea… but let’s head there right now to find out!

ANNOUNCEMENT W/ COMMENTARY

INVOLVED:
Ernie Turner

"DOA Championship”

[After the opening sequence for DOA “Rapid Assault” comes to a close, we are instantly presented the image of resident interviewer/journalist Ernie Turner standing before a black-modern company backdrop. Wasting no time, Turner instantly addresses the camera lens before him with his typical gruff, borderline raspy, smoker-fashion.]

[Ernie Turner]:
There’s breaking news out of DOA headquarters today and, in all honesty, it’s HUGE! I just got off the phone with the ‘higher ups’ and it sounds like the main event for “Rapid Assault” next week will rock this company to its very foundation!
[Pauses]
For the FIRST TIME in DOA history, we’re going to have a ‘Fatal Five Match’… all within the confines… of a STEEL CAGE!

[The rabid Chicago crowd pops at ringside, watching this on the large video tron above the entrance way, as Ernie takes a second to let it all sink in.]

[Ernie Turner]:
… and that’s not enough; not by a LONG shot.
[Pauses]
History will be made next week as we will crown the first EVER… DOA Champion… LIVE… on “Rapid Assault”!

[The crowd pops once again as Ernie pauses, smirking confidently in an almost ‘dirty fashion’, and allowing the fans to soak it all in.]

[Ernie Turner]:
That’s right… The company that NEVER quits is about to bring to you a Championship that will go on to personify our name… Deadly Overloaded Action.
[smirks; gold tooth showing]
Who will be part of this match remains to be seen BUT… DOA Officials have announced that they have a ‘good idea’ as to WHO has impressed them thus far. They even went as far to send a message to the DOA roster that… TONIGHT… is your LAST CHANCE to prove that you belong in that match!
[Crowd pops]
For, after “Rapid Assault” goes black, DOA.com will officially unveil the five men who will compete for this intensely coveted prize!
[Pauses]
So tune in tonight… because, honestly, it’s about to get pretty ‘chippy’ in the DOA Arena tonight…

[With that, we transition back to the ringside area as we see Alex Braun & Samuel Curran sitting behind the pitch black DOA commentary desk. Meanwhile, the rabid DOA Dead-Heads in the background bounce around like mad men; which is normal to say the least.]

GRADE:
D

Samuel Curran:
WHOA!!!

Alex Braun:
It just got a little hotter in the DOA Arena after the breaking news hit. I’ve been in this industry for decades now and I know what this kind of opportunity will do to these guys in the back. They’re all hungry; they’re ALL looking for their ‘shot’. Knowing this, no stone will be left unturned tonight… We’re in for one HELL of a show!

Samuel Curran:
The DOA Championship is coming to “Rapid Assault” next week and, boy-o-boy, I CAN’T wait!

MATCH TYPE:
Standard Singles Match; First Pinfall/Submission

TIME LIMIT:
N/A

REFEREE:
Matthew White

AT RINGSIDE:
Eric Tyler w/ Steven Parker

  • Madman Boone doesn’t want to get rid of his beer & bat at the onset of the match. No matter how much Matthew White attempts to coax the crazy wrestler into doing so, Boone simply shakes his head in a crazed manner; blank smile and all.

  • Steven Parker forces him to lose both as Boone turns to the crowd to celebrate with his prized possessions. With a heavy barrage, hitting Boone from behind, Parker slams violently into the Madman and, in doing so, forces him to drop both his bat & beer onto the canvas below. Matthew White then kicks them under the bottom rope as he rings the bell.

  • Parker takes his early lead to beat Madman Boone into the canvas with a focused attack. Despite this though, Boone seems to enjoy the pain; smiling throughout it all.

  • Eventually, Boone evens the score with his unorthodox wrestling style. A simple piledriver changes the course of the match but only generates a 2-count for Boone. Later, he attempts to do the same move on Parker OUTSIDE of the ring, much to the crowd’s excitement, but it’s reversed into a back-body-drop by the new “Traditionalist”.

  • Overall, Boone brings a level of excitement (crazy-style) to the match but it’s Parker who seems to be mostly in control (in many ways). In the end, Parker beats the smiling Boone into a stagger as he ultimately locks in his signature “Future Shock” (Bridging Fisherman Suplex) square in the middle of the ring.

  • As the final count hits, Eric Tyler is shown calling for a microphone at ringside.

Samuel Curran:
Madman Boone is a bowl full of crazy…

Alex Braun:
And then some. He’s well off his rocker by now.

Samuel Curran:
Meanwhile, Steven Parker continues to prove that he’s a ‘legit contender’ for the DOA Championship with yet another big win. Last week it was Clark Alexander. This week it’s Madman Boone. Honestly, I don’t see how company officials overlook the new “Traditionalist.”

Alex Braun:
There’s no way they can. He seems like a prick but, in reality, weren’t we ALL at his age?
[Laughs]
You’re right, though. Steven Parker has shown to be one hell of a talent here in DOA thus far.

Samuel Curran:
Well, it looks like Tyler & Parker are about to ‘let us all know how great they really are’… once again…

Alex Braun:
Eric Tyler has NEVER known when to shutup; and Parker seems to be a ‘chip off the ole block’, in a way.

[As the final bell tolls, Steven Parker is shown having his hand raised by Matthew White as he stands before a booing crowd. That said, the stern, confident, stare upon his face tells of a man who doesn’t care what they think to say the least. Meanwhile, as we’re presented this image, we now hear Eric Tyler’s voice peering over the negative crowd reaction & Parker’s own theme.]

[Eric Tyler]:
Show a little
RESPECT
… for the future… DOA Champion!

[The crowd grows a little louder as Tyler is now within the ring. His mannerisms tell of a grumpy curmudgeon type; firm in his opinion as it pertains to Parker (and everything for that matter). As he continues to speak in a dismissive, and rather harsh tone, we now see Steven Parker cracking a smirk as he walks up to join his new mentor in the veteran “Traditionalist.”]

[Eric Tyler]:
Of course you would continue to boo… You don’t know the FIRST THING about professional wrestling. You’d rather cheer for a stupid fool in a red lobster costume, wouldn’t you?
[Crowd boos]
… Or a senile con-artist pretending to be ‘all about America’?
[Crowd continues to boo]
You’re ALL pathetic… every last one of you.
[Pauses; crowd continues to boo]
THIS MAN, right here,…
[Points back to a smirking Parker]
is the ONLY thing about this god-damn company with the kind of class, honor, and ability to carry the gold. Akima… Keith… Boone… even Black… NONE of these men can come CLOSE to lacing up THIS man’s boots…
[Pauses]
No one…

[With that, Steven Parker steps forward and calmly takes the microphone from a snarling Eric Tyler. In doing so, the stern faced new “Traditionalist” appears focused and ready to go toe-to-toe with the booing crowd.]

[steven Parker]:
Shut… the HELL… up…

[The crowd boos as Parker stares upon them with strong conviction in his statement.]

[steven Parker]:
You can boo all you want but it won’t change a damn thing. Next week, I’m walking out of “Rapid Assault” as the first EVER… DOA Champion. I don’t care WHO the HELL they put in the “Fatal Five” match; it won’t mean a thing. The second the bell rings and that cage is lowered to the ring, there isn’t a single man who can STOP ME from getting what’s rightfully MINE!
[Pauses; crowd boos]
It’s not just a catchy phrase… It’s the truth… “The future… IS now…”… It’s MY time… MY company… MY championship to win… and there isn’t a [CENSOR] thing that ANY of you can do about it.

[With that, Steven Parker chuckles to himself a bit as he knows his statement is going to rile up the DOA Dead-Heads. Seconds later, he’s shown tossing the microphone to the canvas in a lazy fashion as his theme, once again, overtakes the DOA Arena. In the end, the segment comes to a close with the sight of both men exiting the ring; jaw-jacking with nearby fans who, obviously, hate the combination of the two.]

Samuel Curran:
He’s an a$$...

Alex Braun:
Yea… He’s ALWAYS been an a$$; quite the talent but, up until now, a pain to work with.

Samuel Curran:
The annoying thing is… In some way, he’s right. He DOES have ALL the reason to be in next week’s “Fatal Five” steel cage match for the DOA Championship. He’s had an impressive streak since coming to Deadly Overloaded Action and, if put in the match, as he should be, there’s a good chance he could walk out with the gold!

Alex Braun:
That’s the thing, he’s a punk but he can really ‘go’ between the ropes. He’s had ALL the right teachers and, because of this, Parker has been extremely successful on the independent scene. Will that transfer here? That remains to be seen. That said, as you said, so far, he’s been kicking down the door and making sure EVERYONE knows who he is….

[We transition backstage now in which to see a smirking Matthew Keith standing before a black DOA backdrop (much like the current logo). Next to him, Ernie Turner stands in an energized fashion as he holds a microphone to his mouth.]

[Ernie Turner]:
I’m here, backstage, with one-half of tonight’s main event… Matthew Keith.
[Turns to look at a smirking, confident, Keith]
Matthew, earlier this week, Carl Batch said the only reason you’re IN this match is because of your father. That he, essentially, is the ONLY reason anyone cares about you in the slightest. What do you have to say to Batch?

[Keith scoffs a bit as he shakes his head ‘no’ in a slow fashion; smirking throughout.]

[Matthew Keith]:
Let him talk…
[Laughs]
I mean, does anyone expect him to say ANYTHING else?
[shakes his head again; laughing to himself]
Greg Black hired Batch to be a loud-mouth; to get his name out there as much as possible. I, honestly, don’t expect anything less from him…

[Ernie Turner]:
So, you’re not mad?

[Matthew Keith]:
I’ve got ALL the fuel I need to go out there and perform like only I can do. Some guys need ‘something extra’ to get them going; I don’t need that. Batch can say what he wants; I don’t really care. At the end of the day, I’ve got a match tonight with a man who I KNOW can compete with the best of them. It’s now on me to show the world that I’m better than him…

[Ernie Turner]:
How do you plan on showing that?

[Matthew pauses for a second as he smirks toward the camera lens.]

[Matthew Keith]:
The only way I know how… with a 1…2…3…

[With that, Keith slowly walks off the scene in a confident fashion; a slight strut to his walk.]

[Ernie Turner]:
You heard it here, folks. Matthew Keith isn’t letting Carl Batch, or anyone for that matter, slow him down. He’s gunning for a win tonight. Can he do it? We’ll find out in the main event on “Rapid Assault”!

[From there, we now transition back to the ringside after hearing the final statement from a raspy Turner]

GRADE:

Samuel Curran:
He’s a confident young man, Alex. Let’s hope he can ‘back it up’ in the ring tonight.

Alex Braun:
You know, he’s already ‘backed it up’ once in DOA after beating Acid in a shocking upset. This kid has all the right things going for him… the skill… the determination… the pedigree… It’s ALL there. He MAY not walk out with a win tonight but, either way, I EXPECT to see a great outing from the “Hot Shot.”

Samuel Curran:
That match is coming up at the end of “Rapid Assault” tonight and I, much like the rest of you, can’t wait!

  • The Chicago crowd is behind their own in Dean Waldorf pretty early on. This gives the youngster an extra sense of energy straight out of the gate.

  • Despite looking good early though, Waldorf is eventually tagged out when Tank forces himself into the match; slapping Waldorf’s back as he hits the ropes.

  • Tank goes toe-to-toe with Shady as the two wildly brawl around the ring; neither man really getting the upside. Dean eventually makes his way in and he and Tank (babyfaces) go one-on-one as well; a combination that Tank seems to stay strong within.

  • At one point, it looks like Tank may win the match after a ring-rattling powerbomb upon fellow babyface in Dean Waldorf. Sadly, Shady uses the same tactic as Tank did before and tags himself in by slapping Tank in the back post-powerbomb.

  • Shady, tagging himself in, drops Tank with a Spinebuster in the middle of the ring; a move that forces Tank to roll out of the ring.

  • Despite being leveled, Dean tries to fight back but seems weak after Tank’s big maneuver. That said, he looks pretty good despite being depleted.

  • Eventually though, as Tank tries to force his way back into the ring, mad about Shady’s tag, Matthew White’s attention is pulled from the action. This gives Shady enough room to grab his DOA Tag Team Championship & ultimately wallop Dean Waldorf into the forehead with it.

  • Waldorf is unconscious as Shady falls atop of his fallen victim. Meanwhile, Matthew White spins around in just enough time now to count the 3; this is before Tank is able to break the count (as he turned around for a second on the apron; mad that he wasn’t being let back in).

Samuel Curran:
What a CHEAP move by Shady!

Alex Braun:
That seems to be Death Row’s speed thus far; do what it takes to get the win.

Samuel Curran:
Dean Waldorf’s bleeding… Tank is huffing-and-puffing about the loss… and Shady pulls out a ‘fast one’ by using his OWN belt to ‘pull a fast one’ on Matthew White; what a terrible way to end the match!

Alex Braun:
I have a feeling that DOA Officials are paying attention to what happened here. Don’t be shocked if we see something ‘special’ for next week’s broadcast; maybe a title match where Death Row’s ‘cheating ways’ are evened out.

Samuel Curran:
Well, let’s hope that Dean Waldorf is even cleared to wrestle by then… You HAVE to be afraid of a concussion after a strike like that! He’s not even moving!

[A camera is positioned outside of a cracked doorway in what looks to be an office space. With a strong zoom, we peer through said crack in which to see an exquisitely dressed Sebastian Cruise seated in a comfy leather chair. Before him, there stands a large executive desk with a number of nameless ‘suits’ sitting across from him. Ultimately, this meeting appears to be something we, the viewers, were not invited too; hence the awkward presentation.]

[DOA Official]:
We have to say, we’re pretty excited to have you here, Sebastian…

[sebastian Cruise]:
Of course you are; who wouldn’t be?

[DOA Official]:
We’ve been talking with your agent and, thus far, we feel we can offer you everything you’ve been asking for. Believe us when we say… We
really
want you in Deadly Overloaded Action.

[sebastian Cruise]:
That’s great…
[smirks]
but… my demands have changed…

[DOA Official]:
Uh… what? I thought we were…

[sebastian Cruise]:
Well, you thought wrong.
[settles into his seat more; using his hand to gesture ‘profoundly’ as he looks upward a bit]
I’m FAR too important for what you agreed upon. You see, I want to use DOA as catapult of sorts. Honestly, I don’t give a crap about professional wrestling; it’s sophomoric… idiotic… and juvenile. It’s the lowest form of entertainment… BUT… I, on the other hand, am a LEGEND of entertainment in the making…

[DOA Official #2]:
What does that even mean?

[sebastian Cruise]:
I’ll tell you. People will tune into watch me on a weekly basis… men will want to be me… women will want to BE with me… children will cry because they won’t have what I have…
[Pauses; smirks]
They won’t care about what I do in the ring because, let’s be honest, wrestling doesn’t take any ‘skill’; I can do it in my sleep. No. They’ll be turning their dial to watch me be… well… me…
[smirk grows larger]
Sebastian Cruise…
[Pauses; poses a bit with a smirk on his face]
SOOOO… If you want Sebastian Cruise… You’re going to have to up the ante a bit…

[DOA Official]:
To… what?

[sebastian Cruise]:
More money… more days off… only a year contract; so, I can move on from wrestling quickly…and my own very show on Arcadia…

[There’s a sense of silence first. Later, this is replaced by some whispering from the officials. Meanwhile, Cruise kicks back in his seat with great confidence.]

[sebastian Cruise]:
Time’s ticking… I don’t have all day…

[There’s more whispering.]

[DOA Official]:
That is something…
[Pauses]
we’d be interested in…

[Cruise’s smirk grows larger as he nods his head.]

[sebastian Cruise]:
I knew you’d come around…

[DOA Official]:
… On our side though, we need you on “Rapid Assault” next week. We really want to get your career started in DOA.

[Cruise scoffs to himself as he leans back in his chair; rolling his eyes for a second.]

[sebastian Cruise]:
We’ll see… I’ll show up when I want to…

Alex Braun:
There’s NO way this prissy little punk is going to survive in Deadly Overloaded Action. Seriously! Who does he think he is? Wrestling doesn’t take skill? That he can do it in his sleep? Not to mention, he wants to USE this company to catapult his career and then he’ll leave?
[slams his fist on the commentary table]
He’s a [CENSOR] punk…

Samuel Curran:
Throw him in the ring with Akima Brave on the first night…
[Laughs]
Give him what’s coming to him…

Alex Braun:
Hell, I’LL step into the ring with that a$$hole… beat some respect into him…

Samuel Curran:
For never stepping a foot in the DOA Arena yet, Cruise may be the MOST hated man in the company…

[We are now presented a hype video depicting El Arma Mortal in a dominating fashion. Utilizing a grunge-like filter, darkened hue most obvious, we witness a highlight video from last week’s match between El Arma Mortal & Viva Italia member in Antonio Del Veccio. While ADV looks decent in the video, it’s obvious that this production is used in which to heighten the vibe around the masked hard-hitting technition. In the end, the video comes to a close with a slowed down shot of Mortal standing within the ring. With his arms down, head slightly down as well, we get a zoomed in shot as the frame clicks within a 4-second interval; moving Mortal slightly but creating a vibe as if the film machine has failed.]

Samuel Curran:
Talk about making an impact in only one match, El Arma Mortal came in last week and left quite the impression. If DOA Officials are looking for someone to step into the “Fatal Five” steel cage match, THIS is your man right here.

Alex Braun:
El Arma Mortal would be a GREAT first DOA Champion. He’s got the vibe, the skill, the hard-hitting nature that all describes this company pretty well. Plus, you put him in a cage and who KNOWS how long it’ll take for him to level the field. He’s THAT good.

Samuel Curran:
Let’s hope they feel the same way (DOA Officials). I’d LOVE to see what he can do in there next week…

AT RINGSIDE:
Rebel Barbi w/ Acid

  • Always ‘in the middle of controversy’, Rebel Barbi can be seen standing on the ring apron as she yells aggressively in Akima Brave’s direction. Despite this, the “KOA Warrior” stays focused and doesn’t stray his intense stare away from psychotic flier that is Acid.

  • As you’d expect, there’s no typical open to this match; no ‘matching wits’ with a collar-and-elbow-tie-up. Instead, Acid does what he does often as he speeds across the ring and attempts a splash in Akima’s corner. That said, Akima ducks suck attempt; forcing Acid to collide with the corner.

  • Using his opening, Brave swings into action and takes the early lead with a heavy-handed brawling style. At one point, a trio of European uppercuts sends Acid tumbling to the outside. As you’d expect, Rebel Barbi can be seen jaw-jacking with both Matthew White & Akima Brave after this happens.

  • Acid would return to the ring with a springboard closeline but misses. In doing so though, he rolls forward, keeping his range of motion going, and hits the opposite ropes. Seconds later, Akima’s on his back with a wild spinning heel kick from Acid.

  • In control, Acid utilizes his high impact style to keep Akima grounded. A springboard missile dropkick here. A Hurricanrana there. This leaves Akima reeling… that is until he catches another Hurricanrana approach in mid-air; powerbombing Acid down to the matt in the process. This ALMOST scores the “KOA Warrior” the win but Acid is, somehow, able to kick out at 2 1/2.

  • In control once again, Akima relies on his heavy-hitting style to knock Acid to the canvas repeatedly. During this time, whether due to Akima’s power/intensity or Acid’s dwindling health, the strikes seem to keep Acid reeling.

  • Despite being on his heels, Acid is able to struggle his way into a tarantula submission hold after reversing out of a maneuver from Akima. In doing so, it looked like Akima may be unable to continue on. The hold, itself, is locked in for a good two minutes as the “KOA Warrior” looks as though he’s starting to lose consciousness.

  • In one final act of power/determination, Akima pulls everything he has left and breaks free from Acid’s clutches. Either way, the damage is done and Akima Brave looks to be in terrible shape.

  • Acid takes advantage of this as Rebel Barbi screams with joy from ringside. While his opponent is barely able to stand, the crazed flier does everything he can to break Brave down. At one point, a tornado DDT looks as though it could end it all BUT… somehow… someway… Akima kicks out at 2.

  • Slowly though, despite everything, Akima starts to gain a 2nd wind. It starts with a power closeline and then is followed by a HUGE fallaway slam. Moments later, a jackhammer suplex is enough to really turn the tides.

  • In the end, Akima powers through the pain to eventually forces a staggered Acid into his signature “Samoan Suplex” (Full-Nelson Belly-to-Back Suplex/Pin). Despite Rebel Barbi trying to pull at Matthew White’s feet, most likely to pull him out of the ring, the DOA referee is able to count a 3 in favor of the depleted Akima Brave.

Akima… Has… done it! BIG win here for the “KOA Warrior”…

Alex Braun:
It really IS, Sam. Acid looked like he had him ‘on the ropes’. At one point, he literally HAD him on the ropes with the tarantula stretch submission. I thought it was all done there but NO… Akima Brave fought his way through, pulled every ounce he had left in his body, and came away with the win! This was, truly, a great moment in the short history of Deadly Overloaded Action.

Samuel Curran:
If officials are looking into challengers for the DOA Championship then look NO further than Akima Brave. A win like this just proves that he’s ready to carry this company square on his back.

Alex Braun:
I don’t think anyone could write Akima out of that match right now. He’s GOING to be in that match next week.

Samuel Curran:
Let’s hope so! He did MORE than enough tonight to prove his worth… that’s for sure!

[As the final bell tolls, Rebel Barbi is shown angrily screaming in a hissy-fit kind of fashion; slamming her fists on the canvas in the process. The pitch is so unattractive that Matthew White is shown covering his ears early on in which to combat the noise. Eventually though, she’s forced out of her temper tantrum as a rival appears on high…]

[slowly walking through the DOA entrance, Amy “The Blonde Bombshell” Roberts appears extremely focused; a look that’s not common for the sexy vixen. A snarl of sorts forms upon her pretty face as she kicks her black heels off and starts to run toward the ringside area as the DOA Dead-Heads pop for the beautiful diva.]

[barbi has no idea as she’s still locked in her temper tantrum. That said, she slowly spins around to see Amy coming right at her.]

[in a shocking move, not common for the often lazy cool Bombshell, Amy dives forward and connects with Rebel Barbi. She pulls the punk-rock vixen to the ground in an awkward fashion as the two start to brawl on the ringside floor; rolling around in the process. In doing so, we actually see up Amy’s slender black dress; showing her underwear to the crowd (much to the Dead-Head’s fans).]

[Eventually, a number of black-shirt wearing security guards are shown pulling the two beauties apart in which to restore order. Despite doing this, Rebel Barbi is shown angrily screaming back toward Amy Roberts. Meanwhile, she’s left standing with a confident smirk upon her face; one that says “Yea, I did it… I’m READY for a fight.”]

[The two are ushered away from the ringside area; however, not before exchanging words from afar; obviously words that are censored for TV.]

I don’t think ANY of us thought Amy had this in her. She’s NEVER been a ‘fighter’ but something Rebel did got under her skin enough, I guess. Did you see those rights? Barbi may be seeing STARS right now!

Samuel Curran:
Rebel Barbi threatened her and said “not to come back” or else “She’d beat her up.” Well, tonight, it was Amy doing the ‘beating up’.

Alex Braun:

AT RINGSIDE:
Carl Batch w/ Greg Black

  • In a weird role reversal, versus typical wrestling landscapes, the main event pits two men who should, in some ways, represent the opposite disposition that they currently project. Matthew Keith, a cocky young babyface, should (and could) play a good hated heel. But, the DOA fans seem to love his brash youthfulness. Meanwhile, Greg Black is here to prove that he’s “not a joke”; ie: a man on a mission in a way. Typically, this kind of persona is seen as a ‘good babyface’ but, with the addition of the loud-mouth in Carl Batch, Black is obviously a disliked wrestler who doesn’t seem to ‘care’ about anyone but himself.

  • Knowing this, the DOA Dead-Heads pop nicely as Matthew Keith slaps Greg Black across the face as the two meet in the center of the ring. That said, the smirk on Keith’s face is wiped off pretty quickly as Greg Black comes back with a knee to the ‘lower region’ in a reactive manner.

  • Matthew White then spends the next 20-seconds threatening Greg Black with a DQ as the “No Joke” wrestler stomps the living hell out of the fallen Keith.

  • Once Keith returns to a standing base, the match itself carries a great ‘all-out’ feel as both wrestlers work a strong mat-wrestling style with several chain-aspects. This, as you can expect, wins over the DOA Dead- Heads as it gives both a good story and focused in-ring style.

  • The match eventually spills out of the ring; however, not for very long. In this time though, Matthew Keith almost wins via a count-out after a side-belly-to-back slingshot suplex is performed. Black hits the ground hard BUT makes his way back into the ring at the 8th count.

  • Back in the ring, both men continue forth with the ‘all-out’ approach as neither backs down for a second. In a way, the match feels very ‘fast-paced’ in this way.

  • It looks like we’re going to get a ‘legit ending’… UNTIL… Matthew Keith goes for his signature “MK-47” (Omega Driver) and a dazed Black slips out and shoves Keith into DOA Referee Matthew White. In doing so, White hits the deck hard as he and Keith collide head-first.

  • With White down, Carl Batch is shown sliding a steel chair into the ring.

  • Greg Black uses said steel chair to focus entirely on Keith’s left knee. It starts with a swing at Keith as he returns to a standing base. When Keith drops to the canvas, Black swings the chair, even using the edge, to connect with the very same knee; obviously injuring him in the process.

  • This goes until Greg sticks Keith’s leg in between the folding aspect of the chair & starts the slow climb to the top rope…

  • Luckily, before any damage can be done, Akima Brave is shown stomping out of the back in his typical aggressive fashion. As he gets to the ring, he literally pushes Carl Batch to the ground in a thunderous shove. Seconds later, he jumps up onto the apron and ‘saves the day’ by pushing Black from on high. Greg Black crashes to the canvas, not knowing Akima was there, and lands a good 3-feet away from the fallen Keith.

  • Greg Black staggers back to his feet and spins around to see what happened. There stands Akima Brave; now in the ring. Black dives at him and chops out his right leg in the process.

  • The two men scuffle until Akima Brave catches Black after a missed corner closeline. Seconds later… “Samoan Suplex” (Full-Nelson Overhead Suplex)!

  • Akima exits the ring as Carl Batch angrily barks at a nearby camera about Greg Black being “screwed yet again”.

  • Both Keith and Black are down for the next 30-seconds until both seem to stagger back to their feet. Seconds later, Greg Black goes for yet ANOTHER ride (this one JUST as shocking) as Matthew Keith executes his signature “MK-47” (Omega Driver) square in the middle of the ring!

  • The crowd pops as Keith goes for the pin JUST as Matthew White slightly wakes up; at least enough to dramatically count to three.

MATHEW KEITH!! HE’S WON!!! MATHEW KEITH HAS BEAT GREG BLACK!

Alex Braun:
Greg Black tried to cheat his way toward a win tonight and, in doing so, felt a bit of his own medicine as Akima Brave came down and made the save. You could chalk the win up to the interference but, honestly, if anything, it’s almost as if it equaled everything out after the chair shots. Greg Black went for a ride with the “MK-47” and that gives Matthew Keith a HUGE victory here tonight!

Samuel Curran:
You KNEW he had it in him. He’s go the look… the skill… the pedigree… BUT I don’t know if we expected it see it SO soon. Really though, Keith DOES have to thank Akima Brave for ‘evening the score’. Without his help, it looked as though Keith could have been on a fast-track to major surgery on his knee!

Alex Braun:
Yea, if Black would have connected on that leap… Keith’s career COULD have been over. He won here tonight but he HAS Akima Brave to thank for keeping his career intact!

Samuel Curran:
Like the others we seen tonight, will THIS win help Matthew Keith step into next week’s main event for the DOA Championship? I don’t know how it couldn’t!

Alex Braun:
I agree. Matthew Keith ‘has arrived’ in Deadly Overloaded Action and there’s no doubt in my mind that he deserves the spot in the “Fatal Five” steel cage match!

[The final bell tolls as a depleted Matthew Keith rises to his feet in an exhausted fashion. Seconds later, Matthew White is shown raising his right hand high into the air as the DOA Dead-Heads pop in approval. In this moment, Keith’s smirking rather strongly despite the heavy breaths he’s forced to take every other second.]

[Meanwhile, Greg Black has slightly sat up on his right elbow as he looks in a dazed fashion toward Akima Brave in the ringside isle way. While dazed, Black looks angry over what’s happened; a sentiment shared by Carl Batch as he angrily yells at the nearby camera lens; stating his case.]

[standing from afar, the often intensely aggressive Akima Brave is shown cracking a small smirk of sorts in response to the outcome of the match. This enrages Greg Black even more as he slowly gets to his feet by this point.]

[All the while, Matthew Keith is highlighted as the winner of the match; tired, run-down, but as confident as ever.]

I don’t envy DOA Officials tonight. They’ve got to come up with ONLY five men to compete in next week’s “Fatal Five” Steel Cage match. I can’t IMAGINE the pressure in that boardroom right now. Who’s going to represent Deadly Overloaded Action with the DOA Championship? We won’t know until next week but TONIGHT… We’ve got one hell of a show coming to an end!

Samuel Curran:
Make sure you stop by DOA.com to find out WHO company officials will put in the “Fatal Five” Steel Cage match!! It’s going to change the course of professional wrestling FOREVER; I promise you that!

It was just this week that DOA Officials announced a development that would change the wrestling industry forever. After tirelessly analyzing the first three weeks of competition, said officials have pinpointed five men who “personify what Deadly Overloaded Action is all about!”

Akima Brave, El Arma Mortal, Greg Black, Matthew Keith, and Steven Parker
will be locked into the “Fatal Five” steel cage match with one goal in mind: to crown the first-ever DOA Champion. There will be no disqualifications, no count outs, and no draws. Instead, these five men will war within steel fencing with the only way to win being the last man standing.

Only pinfalls and submissions will count…

Elimination rules…

No time limit…

We WILL crown a DOA Champion THIS WEEK on “Rapid Assault”; witness the evolution of wrestling!
