What's Going on in YOUR Game?

Recommended Posts

Through different games I've grown to love CVE's women's strawweight division. It's full of fun characters and you can make some exciting matchups. My favorite is Karolin Koch. Her trashtalking and constant call-outs are just so much fun I put her in the main event of WEFF131, where she got the popular Katharina Nadel in a guillotine as she got the takedown. Her stats are crap, but it helps to build Raica Tenorio (who she keeps calling out despite her beating the crap out of her two times already, with no bad blood present).

I made a one off shot of Bret & Aaron Underwood:

RvCuxoKAlX.png

They are scaled to the actual database height and reach measurements, Bret being 6'3 and Aaron being 5'9. Aaron is 170lbs while Bret is 240lbs. Bret is the stronger of the two he just looks less stronger because he is overweight for his size.

Bret's render will be released in my X-CVE mod while Aaron will be released in my Patreon.

I just got the "Fantastic Four" achievement (note: not an actual achievement in the game ), where a fighter achieves four consecutive "fantastic" ratings in their fights. It happened to Kit Sakamoto, though she did lose most of them. I tried to continue the streak by matching her up against Alexandra Juhl, but forgot that her chin became so bad (29%) she went down after the first big hit, so the fight only got a 'good' rating.

The power of the jab:

(Rd 2 - 08:14) They come together and strike.

(Rd 2 - 08:14) Czarnecka hits a couple of jabs but comes up short on a body kick. Weeks misses with a right jab but connects cleanly with a left hand.

(Rd 2 - 07:53) Weeks backs away...and almost falls down! I think that last strike really hurt her!

(Rd 2 - 07:53) Czarnecka smashes Weeks with a big right head kick! Down she goes!

What do you guys think: is this a bug or just good jabbin'? Last strike refers to the jab, as the body kick missed. They also got registered as jabs by the game.

Maybe it was two weak jab with a strong one. Some people can knock out people with Jab.. Look at GGG in boxing or Anderson Silva

Some masterful trolling from Tuga Matijevic in my game just now: calling out a fighter after her match, and then joining her training camp a week later, where she is the only female present. She truly is the master of in-your-face slandering (well... when not in jail). :p

She beat Cheryl Fortin, Shannon Palmer, Rain Richards, and Kimie Igarashi in the final to win the reactivated belt. Her first opponent will be Jessica Herbig, who lost to Igarashi in the semis but followed it up by knocking off the then-undefeated Violet Benes (who I signed after the tourney started.)<p> </p><p> McBroom's actually been my most stable champion, with four defenses under his belt. Part of that's due to the relative weakness of my lightweight division, to the point where I'm considering moving a couple guys up from 145, Lamont Banner in particular.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of 145, Ziskie's repeated his pattern of win the belt, defend it once, then lose it again. This time to Markus Waller, who took a four-fight win streak into the title match and made Ziskie tap to a kimura in the second round. He's defending against David James Diggle in December on a card that will also start the flyweight tournament.</p><p> </p><p> At bantamweight, Claremont's the champion again after knocking out Rockmeteller in the second round back in February.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Moving on to March 2010:</p><p> </p><p> Raul Peixoto ended Aaron McBroom's reign at 155 in November 2009. McBroom was champ for four years and had made five defenses. Peixoto's first defense will be against Steven Wu in May.</p><p> </p><p> 145 is a cluster. Ziskie beat Diggle in the fight above, but then lost it to Markus Waller. Waller and Diggle fought in December 2007 and Diggle won by knockout. I don't remember why I booked a rematch in September 2008, but I did (their third fight) and Waller won the belt back in a controversial split decision. So, Waller-Diggle IV. And Diggle wins by second-round TKO. His first defense was against Wallace Everett, and he won by split decision -- but the commentary suggests Everett should have won. So who knows what I'm going to do now.</p><p> </p><p> Brian Claremont's still the champ at 135, with defenses against Bonzo Anstruther and Curtis O'Brien. His next fight is a fourth match against Willy Bassett in two weeks. This might be Bassett's last real chance to regain the title.</p><p> </p><p> We have Flyweights now! Henry Coleman was the first XCC Flyweight champion after winning an 8-man tournament in 2008, but he lost it to veteran Dale Pendergarst on his first defense last year. Pendergarst defends against Laurent Roy in the semi-main of Claremont-Bassett IV.</p><p> </p><p> WEFF's closure in September 2009 was a boon for XCC, as we were able to hire their best fighters and split our women's division into weight classes (Bantamweight and Flyweight). Natasha Mellow's Women's championship became the Flyweight belt, while Gianna Russo (the last WEFF Bantamweight champion) beat Suzanne Elder for the new XCC Women's Bantamweight title. Mellow defends her belt against Catherine Davis in April.</p><p> </p><p> I decided that I'm going to start running one show a month in 2010, as opposed to one show every other month I'd been averaging. I've got the roster for it with the influx of women and the Flyweights.</p><p> </p><p> Classic Cage Combat has filled the MMA void in Canada (60-minute fights? To a draw? OK.), while FLB just opened a women's division of its own.</p>

<p>I'm thinking of giving the reins to the AI and just watch, as it does a decent job nowadays.</p><p> </p><p>

Just saw a match note I never saw before (at least as far as I can recall): <strong>"Despite getting pounded, (Nagy) suddenly reaches up, locks onto an arm and throws on a triangle choke!</strong>". Amazing thing is that is was a pure kickboxer (16% subm skill) putting it on a wrestler. It worked too. Wow...</p>

December 2019 in my game, Building up our latest division Super Middleweight (186-195lbs) Playing as Gamma, we took over ISL and practically took there LHW division and placed them in Super Middleweight to give it bodies, it's perfect for the bigger MW's and smaller LHW's.

Our most dominant Champion is our Womens Lightweight Champion the BJJ Champion fighting out of Bolivia in South America, she's sitting on 12 defences and reigns over a pretty good division but will be defending her title against Season 8 Clash of The Titans winner, world class wrestler Josephine Angel who since winning the show has tore up the division with an 11 fight win streak.

Currently our main objective is to buy out BCF and stage our second wave of champion V champion fights (We took over Alpha-1 and staged some great fights with this method.)

Omega is becoming good competition and have a few fighters im keeping my eyes on.

First time I ever had a draw in a reality show. Apparently the judges vote for the more deserving fighter to advance.

And it sucks if the lottery determines your most entertaining fighter fights first. Unlike TUF they are send off and your ratings will stink. I usually pack 4 entertaining ones just to get through the first 8 weeks. :p

Just found out you can actually click the "Pro fights" text in the "Add Fight" screen to get directly to the match history screen of that fighter. Did anybody know that? As it's not a button, I completely missed it. Would've saved me many a click. :p

There seems to be a good bunch of these shortcuts but they aren't indicated in any way so they're hard to come by. Can't remember where else there are those shortcuts as I haven't played in a while.

<p>Picked up the game again and it's fun to see the new generation of women take root in the rankings at 2010 as the first generation retires.</p><p> </p><p>

I took on the challenge of getting Tina Chavez to the hall of fame, but she seemingly got blessed with an awesome destiny so I won't have to work much to populate the bottom end of the top10 with cans, especially in such a stacked bantamweight division.</p><p> </p><p>

FW: I had <strong>Tonie "The Barracuda" Facchine</strong> move up to FW to fill in the gaps of talent, but it might've been a lackluster decision as she wouldn't have won so much at BW and it's just a pain to have her . I moved "Cosmi" Konishi down to BW to give her a 'personal' challenge, but as a company I was much better off with her as a dominant champion. I'll have her come back to take the title again. The old Hope Lehane got slapped with a tough 18 month injury. Now she'll be back for a (probably final) fight.</p><p> </p><p>

BW: O'Neill was pretty dominant until she got outworked by a better Paulson, who held on to the title for years until she lost the decision to the Russian "Ice Queen", who also holds a win over Chavez who will fight her again for the title. Chikamatsu's protege Koyanagi has been top5 for a while and army wrestling star Finch is close as well.</p><p> </p><p>

FlyW: Leslie Watkins took the title from an an erratic (forgot the name), who took it from an established Williams.</p><p> </p><p>

SW: After the first reality TV season a champion was crowned, but it took a while before someone could establish a hold on the title. That person is <strong>Rita Bradley</strong>, but she's been challenged several times by other top contenders since then. Gisele Silva also had a short run with the title and the "new" status of the division made her a hall of famer (though imo she didn't deserve to be in as the second woman ever).</p>

<p>For the first time, I've had two fighters get 3 fantastic rated matches against each other. No bad blood or anything, just an amazing matchup apparently.</p><p> </p><p>

If you look at their skills, it once again proves the point that you don't need a roster full of superskilled workers to have great matches. Quite on the contrary, actually. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Taciana Ruelas, a triangle specialist, has 18 submissions on her resume right about now, but not a single one has come through the actual triangle. She's done pretty much every other submission there is (barring leglocks and 'platas). <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The only one of the submission traits that's truly visible is the neck crank. You really notice a rise in attempts on the fighters that have it. The others occasionally score with their trait, but it's a very rare occurence in their careers. But I guess that makes sense. It's just not always there.</p>

Mounted triangle, triangle with armbar, inverted triangle, there is a lot of triangle to submit the opponent <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I've never seen a mounted triangle or an inverted triangle in the game. I don't think they are in.</p><p> </p><p>

In other news, after so many events I finally scored one with both the main event and the co-main being excellent (with the highest feature match being fantastic as well as another match), and it totally wasn't intentional. The event scored 92% critical. I never got it that high ever. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Pretty weird that the game chose another submission - which was only "good" - as SotN.</p>

<p>Running Ring of Combat in the real world DB, got my first match going in the 3rd week, planning to do once a month every 3rd Friday. Dredged up some barely active fighters in order to flesh out my cards. Figured what's the worst that can happen, and maybe some of them still have a bit of gas in the tank. Then my third match of the night caused Mike Massenzio to pack it in. So much for a comeback tour.</p><p> </p><p>

I wanted to quit the game so I can start playing something else like TEW but I just...can't...stop... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

And you gotta have that awkward moment where two fighters become great friends a week before their match. Serves me right for forgetting they were in the same camp. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> (though I don't think it impacts the match quality)
