Hulkster as a result of winning a big $25,000 dollar battle royal at the Showboat Sports Pavilion in Las Vegas last month you get another chance to face AWA World champion Nick Bockwinkel in Las Vegas. Your thoughts? Hulk HoganMean Gene I am so pumped to get back to Vegas and the Showboat. To get my hands on Bockwinkel one more time. Gene OkerlundThe sports book at the Showboat has you as a 9-1 favorite going into the match. Hulk HoganThey say there are no sure things in life but death and taxes, well I'm adding another sure thing, Hulk Hogan AWA World Champion. In Vegas they call slot machines one armed bandits because they take all your money, well I'm gonna introduce Bockwinkel to a 2 armed bandit with 24 inch pythons that's only interested in one thing taking the World title brother! Gene OkerlundFolks tickets are still available. Nick Bockwinkel vs Hulk Hogan for the World title. Bobby HeenanHogan's lost it, out here talking about one and two armed bandits He must of been in the Vegas desert too long, the heat got to him. He started seeing mirages and hallucinating. Gene OkerlundYou have to admit the man is a threat. The sports books have him as a favorite over Nick Bockwinkel. Bobby HeenanYou want to talk about the betting line, over at Caesars Palace Nick Bockwinkel is 50-1 favorite over Hogan. Because like most everyone else who goes to Las Vegas, they walk in with big dreams and leave as losers, just like Hogan is going to. After Bockwinkel is done with Hogan he's just gonna be another pathetic sap panhandling for bus fare on the Strip. Gene Okerlund Bobby Heenan let's talk about Blackjack Lanza and the problems that have developed over these last few weeks (Blackjack Lanza-One of the most dangerous men to ever step foot in the ring.) Jesse Ventura Wally Karibou and Stanley Blackburn think they're being cute, me and Big,Bad Bobby Duncum have a title match in St.Paul against the High Criers, Gagne and Brunzell but first we gotta go into Chicago and get in the ring with the Crusher and Von Raschke. Caribou has this idea in his head that Raschke and Crusher are gonna hurt us and protect his paper champions. Nothing is farther from the truth. Crusher is always out here talking about his 100 megaton arms(Ventura hits a bicep shot), right there is total Armageddon. Gene Okerlund The championship committee has said that if your two men who have been on a tear since teaming up get past the Baron and Crusher that you would indeed get a shot at the tag team titles held by Greg Gagne and Jumping Jim Brunzell. Bobby Heenan It's a forgone conclusion that these 2 men will be the next tag team champions of the world. These are throughbreds going against a couple of geldings that should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. What I want to talk about is Hogan. Mean Gene Okerlund That's right another member of your family Olympic Strongman Ken Patera faces off against the Incredible Hulk Hogan in Chicago with the stipulation that if he beats Patera he gets 5 minutes with you in the ring. Bobby Heenan Who made this stipulation? I don't wrestle anymore, I am a manager, I use my mind not my body. Look at Jesse The Body, look at Bobby Duncum these men are physical specimens, Ken Patera is a physical specimen. I shouldn't have to get in the ring with Hogan under any circumstances. The man is crazy, the man has a screw loose, the man is obsessed with getting his hands on me. (Duncum tries to calm Heenan down who seems on the verge of a breakdown) Jesse Ventura Brain don't you worry, you know Patera will lift Hogan over his head and throw him into the 2nd row just like he did when he pressed 505 pounds over head without breaking a sweat. Hogan doesn't stand any more of chance than Raschke and Crusher or Gagne and Brunzell. Bobby Duncum You need to understand boys it ain't personal you just in the way to something we want. (Ventura poses showing off his rear deltoid) Gene Okerlund It's gonna be a barn burner fans you don't want to miss. Gene Okerlund I'm joined by Milwaukee's finest, the one the only Crusher. The CrusherI heard dem bums Ventura,Duncum and Heenan out here talking about me and the Baron. Ventura out here posing with all his weight lifting muscle, but Ventura ain't never really trained till he's curled a nice frosty mug of beer, until he's polkaed til 2 in the morning with Stella Wendowski. You know Stella don't ya? Gene OkerlundSad to say I've never had the pleasure. The Crusher Next time you're in Milwaukee I'll take ya down to the Silver Dollar Saloon and introduce ya. She's a great gal, 200 pounds, light as feather, a queen of the polka. Gene OkerlundAnd then in St.Paul at the Civic Center you get to step in the ring with 475 pound Sheik Jerry Blackwell in a no holds barred grudge match. The CrusherSheik Jerry Fatwell, no pinfalls, no count-outs,no dqs. If I wanna bring a beer keg into the ring and drop it on Fatwell's head I can. If I want to light up a cigar and rub it in his face I will. There's nothing I can't do to Fatwell.Gene OkerlundWell it does go both ways, he can bring a chair or a chain and use it on you.The Crusher Let 'em, it'll just be a typical Saturday night down at the saloon for the Crusher. Gene Okerlund I'm joined by one of the great young men in wrestling Rick Martel. And Rick you have a big opportunity challenging for the world heavyweight title. (Rick Martel-The Next AWA World Champion???) Rick MartelWell Gene, this is a great chance for me to step into the ring against some one as good as Nick Bockwinkel and wrestle for the AWA World Title. Gene OkerlundWhen you step in there it's not just against Nick Bockwinkel you also have to watch out for Bobby Heenan. Rick Martel Yes, you always have to keep one eye on that weasel Heenan, but with the great fans support in Chicago and all throughout the AWA I have a pretty good chance of walking out the champion. Freddie Blassie Patterson I'm going to tell you something, I don't care what you or any of these pencil necked geeks think. Albano thinks he's a better manager than me? Just because those savages that fell from the trees in Samoa got the tag titles and that idiot George Steele who has the I.Q. of a turnip gets a few wins, and some how that makes him the better manager. Classy Freddie Blassie, the Hollywood Fashion Plate, the maker of champions the manager of the only true giant in professional wrestling Big John Studd advisor to the the greatest team Asia has ever produced in Mr.Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee and yet some how managing that little band of misfits makes Albano think he's somebody. Gorilla Monsoon I've inquired about this particular move and have learned that what it supposedly does is block the Chi or energy pathways of the body.It takes years to learn and depending on how much concentration or focus it's effects can be anywhere from simply stunning a person to ending their career. WWF officials have been looking at this move for a few weeks and may decide to ban the move altogether. Lord Alfred HayesThis has to have the Grand Wizard and especially Superstar Graham worried as it's been a most effective weapon and made Graham basically unbeatable since his return. Superstar Billy Graham “I'm giving you something I've never given anyone else, a chance to walk away.” Eddie Gilbert “Enough talking! You don't scare me.” The Grand Wizard said “Monsoon I will not be responsible for what happens to this young man” Gilbert came out of the ring, grabbed Graham and slammed him into the announce table, then dragged The Superstar into the ring. Gilbert gave a good accounting of himself. Landing a good dropkick that had the Superstar reeling. Gilbert also avoided many of Graham's martial arts moves. But Graham prevailed catching Gilbert off the ropes with a double thrust to the throat. Graham hit a backbreaker, a series of chops to the side of the throat. Graham went into that focused “trance” of his for a moment that is the prelude to the Dim Mak. Gorilla Monsoon “He's already beaten the youngster, just pin him already” Lord Alfred Hayes “There is no reason for the this” Graham picked a prone Eddie Gilbert up and was about to deliver the Dim Mak when WWF Champion Bob Backlund hit the ring and went wild on Graham. Gorilla Monsoon “The WWF Champion is here and he is all over the Superstar!” Lord Alfred Hayes “Thank the heavens he stopped Graham” Backlund a flurry of forearms and kicks out of character for the usually calm and soft spoken WWF Champion. Graham couldn't defend himself from the onslaught but was finally able to bail from the ring. Backlund threatened to go after Graham but the Grand Wizard and Graham headed to the back. lod619
You have your hands full running all of these promotions. I can dig it. Yeah I didn't really think it through when I started it out. It was just going to be match recaps and some highlights,a short article or 2 for each month,a typical 80s era magazine format instead it grew into what it is now. I was thinking of dumping a couple promotions(Central States,Pacific Northwest,Polynesian Pro and Maple Leaf)but those are territories that don't get alot of attention along with trying to dial it back a bit. I wish I could go for a more limited presentation like yours but it just isn't my style(if I actually have one )

Jimmy your going to be in Madison Square Garden on Monday and Boston Garden just a couple of days later facing off against Playboy Buddy Rose and this new valet of his. Jimmy Snuka Yes, in Boston Garden Playboy Buddy Rose, listen hear bruddah it don't matter who is standing outside the ring only inside the ring and that's you. You call yourself the Playboy, you got all the money, you got the women but that means nothing once we get in the ring and in Boston the Superfly is gonna be the one getting my hand raised. Gorilla Monsoon did a special interview with WWF Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund Bob I have to ask after all the psychological warfare, all the derogatory comments from Superstar Graham and his manager the Grand Wizard. How has it affected you and are you prepared to meet the Superstar in Madison Square Garden in a Lumberjack Match? Bob Backlund Mr.Monsoon, I have been the WWF champion for 5 years. I've been proud to be the WWF champion, fought everyone who I've stepped in the ring against to the best of my ability. I tried my best to adhere to the rules and be a role model for all the young kids out there, but I'm telling you right now in Madison Square Garden when I step in that ring with Graham and those 16 men surround the ring and there is no where to run, no where to hide you are going to see a different Bob Backlund and Superstar Graham you are going to pay the price for that because I am going to take all that anger out on you that has boiled up inside me. Gorilla Monsoon One more question Bob. Exactly how are you going to deal with Graham's devastating move the Dim Mak? There has been talk of WWF officials possibly banning it but it seems as though nothing will be done in time for Madison Square Garden. Bob Backlund This is wrestling, a sport I've build my whole life around and Graham comes back using martial arts, specifically the Dim Mak. A move that very few had ever heard of and he's put out some of the top wrestlers in the sport. Gorilla Monsoon Even Andre the Giant has felt the Dim Mak. Bob Backlund Yes even Andre was hurt by the move and it's something I will have to be very weary of but it's not going to stop me from going after Graham to exact some justice for everyone he's put down especially for my manager Arnold Skaaland. Gorilla Monsoon Thank you Bob and I wish you all the luck in the world in your match against the Superstar.

Pat Patterson Tito is one of those talented wrestlers who it's just a matter of time before he has some gold around him. Gorilla Monsoon As you remember Pat it was only a few years ago that Tito was a WWWF Tag Team Champions with Polish Power Ivan Putski. Pat Patterson I think Tito is looking for a singles title. I could see him being a very good Intercontinental or even a WWF Heavyweight champion. Gorilla Monsoon Well he's got to climb that ladder to get a shot at either of those titles. (Pre-Taped Interview with Lord Alfred Hayes and Playboy Buddy Rose) Playboy Buddy Rose Everyone is asking who is this stunning creature you have on your arm everywhere you go. Buddy Rose Let's just say that with the Wiz pre-occupied with Superstar Graham, that he doesn't have the time to dedicate to the Playboy but just to show that the Wiz is the greatest manager he has brought in this beautiful woman to handle all my needs in and out of the ring. Lord Alfred Hayes And would you like to tell us her name? Playboy Buddy Rose Al, I'd love to do nothing more. But I'll do it properly, in front of all of Madison Square Garden. Playboy Buddy Rose came to the ring alone and grabbed the microphone "First of all I do not nor have I ever weighed 251 pounds. I am a slim trim fighting 215lbs. Now I would like to introduce my new valet and the epitome of what a real woman is Lady Sherri. Lady Sherri comes to the ring.Rose kisses her hand and then parades her around the ring for the crowd. She brushes his hair, removes his robe. Rose then does some 1-arm pushups to warmup. Playboy Buddy Rose defeated Polish Power Ivan Putski w/pinfall in the corner, feet on the ropes. Lady Sherri raked Putski's eyes repeated during the match. Playboy Buddy Rose "Everyone better watch out because this kitten's got claws." (Lady Sherri again brushed the Playboy's hair back into place and they left the ring.Putski was still complaining to the ref about the outcome.) Rocky Johnson defeated Polish Prince Ed Wiskowski w/ Rocky Shuffle(3 quick jabs/big haymaker) Gorilla Monsoon "The Polish Prince didn't look to regal in that match. Rocky Johnson finishing off Wiskowski in short order" WWF Tag Team Title Match Mr.Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee w/Classy Freddie Blassie defeated The Wild Samoans(Afa/Sika)-Champions by DQ. Afa/Sika had enough of Blassie's liberal use of his cane on them. Afa grabbed the cane from Blassie and nailed Fuji over the head drawing the disqualification. The Samoans retained the titles. Gorilla Monsoon "the Samoans seemed off tonight without the guiding light Captain Lou at ringside" Pat Patterson "They are very lucky to still have the tag titles." Gorilla Monsoon"Up next Pat is the Phenom Superfly Jimmy Snuka" Pat Patterson "I always enjoy watching the Superfly in the ring Gorilla, just such an amazing wrestler to watch" Gorilla Monsoon" While we wait for the Superfly let's go to these taped comments withLord Alfred Hayes as he talks to WWF Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund about the big upcoming Lumberjack Match against Superstar Billy Graham" Lord Alfred Hayes I am with the WWF Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund as he prepares for his match against Superstar Graham. Bob Backlund I've said all Im going to say.The only thing left Billy Graham is to get in the ring. Gorilla Monsoon"The WWF champion a man of few words tonight." Pat Patterson"Like he said enough talking." Gorilla Monsoon"Here comes Butcher Vachon the opponent for the Superfly. Pat Patterson" Vachon I've known for a long time, he can be one nasty individual in the ring. Gorilla Monsoon "Well Pat you don't get a name like Butcher by helping little old ladies cross the street. And here comes Superfly Jimmy Snuka." Pat Patterson" I just don't know how he wrestles without shoes. Gorilla Monsoon" The great High Chief Peter Maivia never wore wrestling boots and Snuka is following in the Polynesian tradition." Superfly Jimmy Snuka defeated Butcher Vachon in short order w/Superfly Splash Pat Patterson" I expected Vachon to put up more of a fight." Gorilla Monsoon" They don't get paid by the hour in there. We are going to hear what the Grand Wizard and Superstar Billy Graham had to say earlier today." The Grand Wizard Backlund, there is nowhere for you to go, nowhere to hide, you cannot escape your reckoning at the hands of the Superstar. Superstar Graham Backlund, tonight I show everyone the truth, that you are a coward, a pretender, I will beat you tonight then I will come after my title, my heavyweight title and finally I'll destroy the false legacy of Bobby Backlund

Backlund who is usually very affable but as of late due in no small part to Graham's psychological warfare has become quite the opposite. The referee checking each man. Oh and Graham with the cheap shot to the side of the head of Backlund! Lord Alfred Hayes And I believe the match is underway Graham was relentless from the start, hammering away at Backlund, sending him outside the ring. The lumberjacks swarmed over Backlund, some trying to protect him, others taking cheap shots. Back in the ring and Graham continued the assault driving knees into the midsection. A double karate chop to the side of the neck dropped Backlund to his knees.Graham off the ropes with a kick to the head. Backlund was down. Graham with a lazy cover. Gorilla Monsoon Graham resorting to the good old fashion fist to jaw sending Backlund out of the ring again. Lord Alfred Hayes Bob Backlund seems to be having problems getting going in this match. Graham tossed Backlund at will out of one side of the ring and then the other. Rose,Fuji took shots at Backlund when they had the chance before tossing him unceremoniously back in the ring. Graham choked Backund across the top rope then flung him backwards. Graham's attack stopped momentarily as he went into his focused state that precedes the deadly Dim Mak. Gorilla Monsoon Oh I don't like the looks of this. Graham seems to be readying to use that maneuver of his. Lord Alfred Hayes Backlund is in a bad situation right here. Graham picked Backlund up, thrust his hand forward to Backlund's chest, Backlund grabbed Graham's wrist and stopped Graham just short of applying the “death touch”. Graham was shocked, Backlund yanked on Graham's arm for all he was worth. Graham grabbed at his arm. Backlund coming to life now grabbed Graham's arm again, elbow shots to the upper arm had Graham reeling in pain. Gorilla Monsoon Unbelievable, no one has ever stopped Graham before tonight. It's always been curtains when he applies the Dim Mak. Graham tried to head outside the ring but was quickly tossed back in.Backlund all over Graham had the Superstar on the mat and landed some heavy forearms to the face. Backlund raked the back of Graham Gorilla Monsoon Very out of character for the champ. Lord Alfred Hayes I would normally agree with you Gorilla but Backlund has been pushed to the edge by the Superstar Backlund seemed intent on inflicting as much pain as possible instead of actually trying to beat Graham. Backlund showing that power he has lifted Graham up for an Atomic Drop, the move that defeated Graham for the the then WWWF Heavyweight title in 1978 in this very building. For the first time in 3 months Graham showed some actual fear on his face. Backlund dropped Graham. Graham rolled to the outside again and again was pushed back in. Backlund pounded away on Graham. Graham fought back Lord Alfred Hayes This has been quite the donnybrook so far, neither man has had a clear advantage. Gorilla Monsoon Well I'd have to say Bob Backlund has had the advantage for the last several minutes. Both men rolled out of the ring, all the lumberjacks pushed them back in the ring. A few of the lumberjacks started getting into with each other but focus returned to the ring. Graham got to his feet first, hit a karate thrust to Backlund's throat. Graham threw Backlund to the ropes, double thrust to the throat. Graham had regained control and tee'd off on Backlund at will with more chops, thrusts and kicks. Graham worked the lower back of Backlund with knees, Graham with a bearhug. Backlund with a thumb to the eye. Gorilla Monsoon I never thought I would see Backlund resort to such tactics. Graham really did get to the champ. Graham went for a right punch, Backlund ducked. Gorilla Monsoon Crossface Chicken Wing! Can Backlund get it locked in? Graham quickly reared back to the corner, and again, a third time got Backlund to break the Chicken Wing. Blocking Backlund in the corner and out of the referee's view Graham kicked Backlund between the legs(low blow) Backlund dropped to the mat. Graham quickly covered Backlund and got the pinfall. Gorilla Monsoon I can't believe it. Lord Alfred Hayes Such a despicable move by Graham Gorilla Monsoon It was desperation on Graham's part pure and simple. Mr.Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee w/Classy Freddie Blassie defeated Tony Garea/Jose Luis Riviera Lee pinned Riviera after a double knee drop to the head. Superfly Jimmy Snuka defeated Playboy Buddy Rose w/Lady Sherri by Count-Out Rose did everything under the sun to try and slow down the Superfly but it was of no use. Pedro whips Muraco to the ropes, reversed by Muraco, Morales off the ropes. Cannonball headbutt to Muraco. Muraco points at the cage door and head toward it. Muraco some how manages to get to his feet and nails Morales in the back of the head. Central States Wrestling TV(Memorial Hall-Kansas City,Kansas Week 1) Announcer Kevin Wall opened the program saying that just before they went on air that he would have a special guest joining him. Davis Sammartino defeated Omar Atlas w/Powerslam Kevin Wall talked to David Sammartino who expressed his desire to challenge for the Central States TV title. Wall pointed out that later in the show current champion Mark Romero would defend against former champion Bulldog Bob Brown. Sammartino said it didn't matter who was champion he just wanted his chance. Kevin Wall talked to Bulldog Bob Brown about his upcoming rematch against Mark Romero for the TV title. Bulldog Bob Brown Romero the last couple of weeks have been the highlight of your career. You better enjoy your last few minutes as champion. You got lucky when you beat me for it and you've been damn lucky so far but that luck will come to an end today. Avalanche Buzz Tyler defeated The Great Tio w/Avalanche Roll Buzz complained about Central States Champion Dewey Robertson ducking him. Tyler demanded Bob Geigel either force Robertson to defend the title against him or Tyler would do something himself. A big card was announced for Kansas City,Ka. Thursday March 24th,1983 at Memorial Hall Central States Heavyweight Title Dewey Robertson-Champion vs Harley Race Missouri Heavyweight Title Kerry Von Erich-Champion vs Crusher Blackwell Avalanche Buzz Tyler vs Ray Hernandez Nick Kiniski vs Roger Kirby Super Destroyer vs Freight Train Jones Ox Baker vs George Welles Tonga John/The Great Tio vs Ted Oates/Jerry Oates Freight Train Jones defeated The Beast w/Train Kept A'Rollin(Running Shoulder Block) A video of Harley Race talking about Ric Flair and wanting to regain the NWA World title. Everyone in professional wrestling knows the name Harley Race, knows what I have accomplished, knows what I'm capable of. Everyone also knows that I want to be NWA World Champion again. Ric Flair the current champion, the man who beat me not that long ago knows I'm coming for him and will stop at nothing to keep me from regaining the title. That's all well and good I would expect nothing less of a world champion but Flair just remember this. When you see the headlights coming at you it might be time to get out of the road. Central States Champion Dewey Robertson defeated Ted Oates w/Figure Four Leglock Robertson used the ropes to apply extra pressure causing Oates to submit. Kevin Wall talked to Dewey Robertson. Robertson said "I've never ducked anyone in my entire career and I'm not about to start. If Tyler wants to run his mouth, crying about how he isn't being treated fairly then let him do it to his mommy. He works his way up to be a contender then I'm sure he will get a title shot. Wall interrupted saying that Buzz Tyler has to be considered a top contender. Robertson asked why,has he beaten anybody? No, he's just another wrestler who thinks he's somebody and deserves something for doing nothing. Kevin Wall said it was time for his special guest to join him. Unbelievably out came the one, the only Andy Kaufman. Kaufman was very gracious thanking Central States and Bob Geigel for giving him a chance to come out. Kevin Wall immediately asked about the problems Kaufman had down South. Kaufman explained that it was entirely his fault, that he made his own troubles down there. Kaufman said he has always been a huge fan of wrestling and maybe got a little overzealous down South but he has learned from his mistakes. Kaufman also said that he would like a chance to come out and do some commentary with Mr. Wall some time. Kaufman thanked Kevin for the time and even went and signed some autographs and posed for pictures with some fans. Kevin Wall A big Hollywood star like Andy Kaufman from television's Taxi coming to Central States. I'm speechless. Central States TV Title Match Bulldog Bob Brown defeated Mark Romero w/Leg Drop to become the new TV Champion. There was some controversy as Romero claimed his leg was underneath the bottom rope but there was no clear camera shot to prove it was so the decision stands. Bulldog Bob Brown told the "whole wide world" that Romero was just lucky and that luck came to an end. The tv title is back where it belongs. Mark Romero came over and argued with Brown saying "you know you didn't really beat me, my foot was under the ropes". Brown told Romero to "quit your belly aching. I beat you 1.2.3" Romero said "yeah and I get a rematch for the title and I want it next week. right here." Bulldog Bob Brown said "Sure I can humiliate you again." Announcer-Kevin Wall A short recap from the previous week with Andy Kaufman making a surprise appearance and culminating in Bulldog Bob Brown regaining the TV Title from Mark Romero. Kevin Wall This week fans a re-match for the TV title with Bulldog Bob Brown going up against Mark Romero. Romero has said that his foot was under the bottom rope but there is no evidence to prove or disprove his claim. To his credit Bob Brown was willing to give Romero a rematch this week. Bulldog Bob Brown joined Kevin Wall I heard you out hear talking about last week. Romero can claim whatever he wants to, his foot was under the ropes, the stars weren't alignment, he lost his lucky rabbit's foot but the fact is I beat him 1.2.3. Now being the magnanimous individual I am I agreed to face Romero again this week only because I know the result is going to be the same. He's gonna be flat on his back staring at the lights Central States Tag Team Champions Hacksaw Higgins/Powerhouse Ray Hernandez w/Ox Baker defeated Omar Atlas/Jim Lancaster Ox Baker,Hacksaw Higgins and Ray Hernandez talked briefly to Kevin Wall. Central States tag team champions and this is only the beginning. Missouri Heavyweight Champion Kerry Von Erich defeated Dusty Wolfe w/Discus Punch Kevin Wall talked to Kerry Von Erich about his upcoming title defense against Crusher Blackwell Kevin Wall Kerry you've got your work cut out for you going up against Crusher Jerry Blackwell, 450 pounds of trouble. Kerry Von Erich He's a big man, very quick for his size, strong as well, just somebody I have to be careful with and not make any mistakes or that will be it. Kevin Wall Let's take a look at a video from Crusher Blackwell Crusher Blackwell I may be living in the lap of luxury thanks to Sheik Adnan Al Kassie and all his oil money but make no mistake I'm still a mean ol' country boy who can drive nails through a board with my head, throw a standing dropkick like no one else in wrasslin' and squash you like bug. (Blackwell showing the nail he drove through a board with his forehead) But Von Erich when I look at you I see that long pretty hair, and all those muscles you built in the gym, the pretty boy good looks, all the little teeny bopper girls screaming for you and more than taking the Missouri state title I want to destroy those good looks of yours, just so I can see all those teeny bopper girls cryin their little eyes out(Blackwell mockingly boo-hoos, rubbing tears from his eyes then starts laughing) David Sammartino defeated The Beast w/Powerslam A basic power match between the 2 with Sammartino landing a powerslam for the win. David Sammartino talked to Kevin Wall yet again about the Central States TV title. Kevin Wall Another win for David Sammartino. David Sammartino Mr.Wall I've been in Central States for a few months now and haven't lost a match yet. So I'm asking Bob Geigel why if I am undefeated, why I am not getting a chance at the Central States TV title? Do you know why Mr.Wall? Kevin Wall I really have no idea. But today we do have a rematch between Bulldog Bob Brown and Mark Romero. David Sammartino Mr.Wall I will be out here to watch this match very closely and no matter who wins whether it's the Brown or Romero I want my chance at the title. Kevin Wall That's up to Mr.Geigel but given your success I can't see why he wouldn't. Right now I'm joined by Freight Train Jones. Freight Train Jones Oh my! Everyone wants this and everyone wants that, gimme this title, gimme that title. Well ol' Freight Train might as well throw his name out there if title shots are getting handed out. Super Destroyer comes out Listen here Jones, before you start thinking about any titles you might want to put some of that limited brain power you got into getting past me first. Freight Train Jones I got all the brain power I need right here(holds up fist). Super Destroyer Takes more than that but you'll find out soon enough.(Super Destroyer heads to the ring for his match) Super Destroyer defeated Bill Jordan w/Superplex Jordan never stood much of a chance against the masked Super Destroyer who had everything under control from the very start of the match. Kevin Wall announced it was time for the main event. Mark Romero, the former television champion came out first. Then the current champion Bulldog Bob Brown came out to the ring. David Sammartino came out and entered the ring. Sammartino went over and talked to Romero then shook his hand. Sammartino then went over to the Bulldog's corner and had words with him as well. Sammartino offered a handshake to Brown but he waved him off and said “get out of my ring!” Sammartino exited the ring and stood off to the side as the match began. Romero was on fire early on, frustrating Bulldog Bob Brown with quick armdrags. Brown called a timeout after rolling out to the floor but Romero went right after him Brown headed back into the ring and caught Romero with stomps as he rolled back in. Sammartino watched intently from the side. Brown continually stomped on Romero, a couple of lax pin attempts got some 2 counts.Brown yelled at Sammartino about “this could be you laying here” which Sammartino seemed to ignore. Brown turned back to a punch to the gut from Romero doubled up the Bulldog. Romero with a double axe handle from the middle rope dropped Brown to the mat, Romero followed up with a knee drop and cover getting 2. Sammartino now moved closer to the ring. Romero whipped Brown to the ropes, a running double chop to the chest sent Brown back down. Sammartino began cheering Romero on. Romero to the 2nd turnbuckle, Brown to his feet, Romero off with a missile dropkick, Brown moves and Romero crashes and burns. Brown hits a legdrop off the ropes on Romero and covers. Sammartino throws Romero's leg over the bottom rope. The ref counts 3, Brown thinks he's won but Sammartino points out Romero's leg being on the bottom rope. The referee waves off the count. Brown can't believe what's happened and starts accusing Sammartino of interfering, Romero gets to his feet and rolls Brown up off the ropes. The ref counts 1.2.3. Mark Romero regains the Central States Television title. Sammartino leaves, Romero celebrates and Bulldog Bob Brown is left in the ring upset and yelling at the referee. But there's something bothering me. Where are all these great tag teams? What good is it being a champion if there is no worthy opponents? Bob Geigel I don't care what you have to do but you find a team to challenge for the tag titles. I don't care if you have to go dig up a couple of your old cronies just get a team together for my boys next week right here or else! Kevin Hall Strong words from Ox Baker. Let's go to the ring for Roger Kirby and newcomer Ron Ritchie. Nature Boy Roger Kirby defeated Ron Ritchie w/Piledriver Kevin Wall Young Ron Ritchie put up a good fight against Roger Kirby. Roger Kirby Yeah he put up good fight, just not good enough. Super Destroyer defeated Nick Kiniski w/Superplex. Super Destroyer joined Kevin Wall. Kevin Wall Another impressive win for the Super Destroyer (Wealthy, educated, anonymous and dangerous) Super Destroyer Of course it was impressive to someone like you. Kevin Wall You had a bit of an altercation with Freight Train Jones last week on this program. Super Destroyer This Freight Train Jones fellow last week showed me just what an uneducated plebeian he is. He thinks he can physically intimidate me but Mr. Wall I am not only a highly educated man, a wealthy man but I am also quite the physical specimen myself and I have on occasion been known to dispense with the rules when I feel it's called for. Kevin Wall You have a match coming up at the Memorial Hall where you will face off against Freight Train. Super Destroyer When the match was signed it was just a wrestling match, I originally boded no ill will toward this man but he raised his fist in anger and threatened me and I cannot abide that. Kevin Wall You did interrupt his interview Super Destroyer I simply was pointing out that he might be putting the cart before the horse in his title aspirations. Kevin Hall Well we will have to wait for the big card at the Memorial Hall to find out. Super Destroyer Oh you may have to wait but I already know the outcome. Central States Heavyweight Champion Dewey Robertson defeated Gene Lewis w/Abdominal Stretch Dewey Robertson Harley Race 6 time NWA World Champion, multi-time Central States Champion. Wants to be World Champion again and thinks he's going to use me to get there. Take my Central States title, walk right over me like I don't exist? I'm not taking anything away from Race, I'd have to be a fool to try but I got two words for the “great” Harley Race. Ain't happening. You're not beating me and you're definitely not taking my title. You want to get back to the NWA World title you better find yourself another road because this one is blocked. Kevin Wall was joined by TV Champion Mark Romero Mark Romero Kevin I was on top of the world last week when I thought I regained the television title but then I watched a replay of the match and to say I was disappointed and a bit shocked it putting it lightly. (Mark Romero regaining the tv title last week) Mark Romero I appreciate what David tried to do but I can't in good conscience keep the television title. If Mr.Geigel would come out here I'd like to hand the title over to him. (Central States owner Bob Geigel makes his way out to ringside.) Mark Romero Mr.Geigel I can't be champion this way. Here is the tv title. Bob Geigel I appreciate your honesty Mark, I know this must be hard for you to do, but I'm sure I speak for all the fans when I say you may not have the title but you have my respect. Bulldog Bob Brown comes out Now that everybody respects everybody and all that give me back my title, after all he even admits himself that he won only because of that snot nosed punk kid Sammartino. Bob Geigel Bob I don't particularly like the way you've been acting lately but when your right your right. David Sammartino makes his way out to ringside(it's getting crowded out there) David Sammartino Mark have you lost your mind, you know Brown won by cheating to begin with. Bulldog Bob Brown There's no proof that I did any such thing. I'll take my title back now. David Sammartino Brown just because there's no actual proof doesn't mean it didn't happen. I'll take Mark's word over someone like you any day of the week. Mark Romero I may not have won it last week but I'm still owed a re-match. Bulldog Bob Brown You are owed nothing, you had your re-match already, can't help it if you blew it thanks to your buddy here. Get at the back of the line. (Bulldog Bob Brown walks off with his returned Television title) David Sammartino You know Mark you did have your re-match. Mark Romero And if it wasn't for you I might be champion again. David Sammartino You were champion thanks to me, I can't help if you didn't like the way you got it. Mark Romero All I want to know is why? Why did you do it? David Sammartino Look sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire and that's what I did. Bob Geigel Mark again as hard as this is to say you had your mandatory rematch it's time to give someone else a chance and given his winning streak since coming to Central States, David is the next in line and he will have a shot next week here on television. Mark Romero Mr.Geigel you're saying I need to step aside, to the back of the line and go through and prove myself again? Bob Geigel That's how it works Mark. David Sammartino Mark, you had your shot now it's my time. Mark Romero This is what you wanted to happen wasn't it. David Sammartino You think what you want, all I know is I've got a title match next week to prepare for. (Sammartino walks off. Romero is obviously upset) Kevin Wall Til next time fans. Now don't get me wrong, all those people you mentioned Rhodes,Von Erichs,Race, Rich(Piper chuckles)top contenders all of them but what about Roddy Piper? Ric Flair Piper you and I have known each other for a long time. We've fought each other in the past. But that was then. Now Piper you are just not in Ric Flair's league. I'm up here(Flair holds his hand at above his head)as NWA World Champion and you Piper, you are down here(Flair holds his hand at waist level). Roddy Piper Oh I'm down here am I. Down scrapping the gutter? Ric Flair Piper look at yourself. You've been getting your brains beat in nightly by Valentine, you're out here in a t-shirt and a dress. Face it Piper I am at my peak and you, your not. Roddy Piper So because I'm not out here in some $1000 dollar suit(Piper feels Flair's jacket lapel),by the way that's nice, really nice. You get that from Ira Rothstein down on 4th and Grand? Or the gold watch and the gold ring I'm not in your league? Ric Flair That's what I'm saying Piper. I am at the top of my profession and you, well your not. Roddy Piper(chuckles) You know what Flair, the only thing I can say is you're right. You are at the top of the mountain. But there's an old saying when you're at the top there is only one way to go and that's down and let me tell you something it might just be ol' Rowdy Roddy Piper who does the pushing. (Piper walks off) Ric Flair Piper you can talk all you want about pushing me from the top of the mountain but you've got to get up that mountain first and it's a long way up Hot Rod! Wooooo! Bob Caudle Looks like the champ can add another name to the list of challengers.

Of course you don't. Every night I get in the ring and have to see some slack jawed face staring at my title, stars in their eyes and then the Hammer drops and the stars disappear yet that same stupid slack-jawed look is on their face. Valiant is one of these slack jaws, dancing around, kissing babies like he's run for mayor of Charlotte. (Boy From New York City plays bringing out Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant) Jimmy Valiant Bobby Caudle, I heard my name mentioned but I don't see anyone out here but you. Bob Caudle Well the U.S Champion is also here. Jimmy Valiant Let me tell you something daddy, the Boogie Woogie Man would like nothing more then to see Greggy Valentine out here but he's never around when the Boogie man is in town. Greg Valentine Valiant I'm standing right here. You got something to say to me, then say it. Jimmy Valiant You hear something Bobby? Ya know if Valentine was here what I would say? I would say daddy the Boogie Woogie man would look good as U.S.champion because Handsome Jimmy Valiant represents all the people from Alabama to Wyoming, wooo daddy the Boogie Woogie Man is nationwide. (Valiant plants a big old wet kiss on Caudle and marches off, Caudle is a little disgusted) Greg Valentine You see that Caudle, you see what an idiot Valiant is. He thinks he can ignore me? No one ignores the U.S Heavyweight champion. Next time I see Valiant I'll make sure he knows the United States champion is here. NWA World Tag Team Champions Sgt.Slaughter and Don Kernoodle defeated Ben Alexander/Mark Flemming.Slaughter made Flemming submit to the Cobra Clutch Bob Caudle One of the most dangerous moves in wrestling Slaughter and Kernoodle joined Caudle proudly carrying the NWA World tag titles Sgt.Slaughter Bob Caudle the Cobra Clutch isn't one of the most dangerous, it is THE most dangerous move in wrestling. And no one and I mean no one can break my Cobra Clutch. As a matter of fact I am so confident of this that I will offer $1000 to anyone who can break my Cobra Clutch." Bob Caudle $1000 is a lot of money, are you that sure? Sgt. SlaughterA $1000 doesn't worry me because I know no one can break the Cobra Clutch. So any of the wrestlers who wants to try just come out in to the middle of the ring and give it your best shot. Bob Caudle Let's talk about some of the contenders to those NWA tag titles of yours. Sgt.Slaughter Like who? Who is really competition for Sgt.Slaughter and Don Kernoodle? The Briscos? We've beat them more times than I can count. Bob Caudle I'm talking about Rick Steamboat and Jay Youngblood Sgt. Slaughter You can talk about them all you want but it's not gonna make them champions. Bob Caudle Some people are saying you and Kernoodle are ducking Steamboat/Youngblood, that you are afraid to face them. Don Kernoodle What people? All I've ever heard from people is a gasp whenever me and Sgt.Slaughter walk into a room or an arena, in awe of the best tag team not just in Mid-Atlantic but in all of wrestling Sgt.Slaughter Those 2 pukes, Steamboat and Youngblood are nothing, they never were anything and they never will be anything. Much less tag team champions of the world. Not as long as we hold the titles. Gary Hart w/The Great Kabuki joins Bob Caudle Bob Caudle I'm joined by Playboy Gary Hart. And Gary your man the Great Kabuki is going to give us a demonstration of his weapons skills Gary Hart Mr. Caudle, if I may correct you. The Great Kabuki is not my man. Kabuki has come from the den of sin in the slums of Singapore, living on the streets as a child, treated like a stray mongrel dog, his face burned and scarred until one day an old man picked up this boy off the streets. Promised him no one would ever lay a hand on him again. Taught Kabuki every fighting style there is to know, tempered his body with iron and steel until he became a finely honed machine. Kabuki has returned to the world of men to exact his pound of flesh for his suffering. And like he suffered so shall you all. Now Mr. Caudle what you see here are various weapons of the Far East.(Hart holds up nunchuks, sais, tonfas,a fighing chain, pulls a samurai sword from its scabbard.). As you can see these are all very much real, very sharp and even in the hands of someone as untrained as myself can cause serious injury. Bob Caudle You are going to use these on the Great Kabuki? Gary Hart That is correct. And given Kabuki's great skill I should not be able to touch him. Now you will notice Mr.Caudle that the only protection Kabuki has is these gauntlets his wrists. The rest of his body is unprotected except for the skills of Kabuki himself. If I get lucky and catch the Great Kabuki with this sword or these sais then some very serious damage can be done. Bob Caudle Well let's go to the ring and see the Great Kabuki in action. (Gary Hart/Kabuki head to the ring. Hart first takes out the nunchuks, he twirls them around trying to connect but Kabuki easily either avoids or blocks the shots. Next Hart pulls out the sais and attempts to stab at Kabuki who blocks and quickly disarms Hart.) Gary Hart Mr.Caudle, since we are running short on time I will now draw the samurai sword and attack Kabuki. (Hart attacks Kabuki with the sword which he blocks with his gauntlets. Hart then attempts a downward slash which Kabuki catches between his palms holding the blade in place. Hart struggles a bit but the blade does not move. Finally Hart says something to Kabuki who lets go of the blade. Hart bows to Kabuki and then they rejoin Bob Caudle) Gary Hart Now just so people understand the danger these weapons posed to the Great Kabuki. (Hart takes a piece of paper and runs it along the blade of the sword. The paper is cut cleanly in half.) Now Mr.Caudle and all you people at home look at the Great Kabuki's palms. (Hart motions for Kabuki to hold up his palms) There is no cuts, no blood, no sign of damage at all. Bob Caudle Very impressive. Gary Hart All you people in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, you are not ready for Kabuki. This is what nightmares are made of. Bob Caudle That is one dangerous man. Other Match Results Jimmy Valiant defeated Keith Larson w/Elbow Smash/Elbow Drop Combo Rick Steamboat/Jay Youngblood defeated Bill White/Jim Daulton. Steamboat hit Daulton with a chop to the head from the 2nd rope. Sweet Brown Sugar defeated Dizzy Hogan w/Headbutt Pvt.Jim Nelson defeated Tommy Prichard w/Clothesline
Captain Kremmen
You know, I really don't think Greg Valentine gets the credit he deserves for being the solid performer he was back then.
