. This is a major show and Kikkawa is Kikkawa.

Well I wouldn't really say that it's a major major show, it's a Korakuen Hall show, so more important than some show out in the sticks but it's not a major PPV either.

Please no Team Mullet this time.;) Aside from that, I'll be reading. Based on my usual rate of predicting, you can assume I picked all the matches wrong, that's pretty much par for the course.

Well I had a little dig at the Mullet Power concept in the bio's for Taira and Masuno. :p

I've enjoyed the bios so much.

Thanks

Glad you enjoyed them.

Also I know it matters little, as the star rating system on this site means jack shit, but apparently this diary is worth 2.60 after 5 ratings (before it's even got started).

Oh well probably the same set of pond life, that insist on filling their pathetic excuse for an existence by downgrading everything I do- though I'm probably insulting algae- as that actually has a more worthwhile existence. :p

I'd have actually have more respect for them, if they told me my diary was crap and tried to formulate some kind of reason as to why they think it to be so* rather than moronically clicking on one star.

*Even if the excuse itself most likely is something they pulled out of their many backsides- because I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between their rear end and their mouth.

I suppose now these imbeciles are cheering their little heads off, that they've managed to get a rise out of me for their tiresome one star trick. But so what? - I actually pity their worthless existence.

No comments this time as I´m not really familiar on Burning Hammer outside your previous diary and thus it´s pretty much all guesses here.

Muronic Moments : Pants for Nothing

January 2014 (Tokyo)

Embarrassing dad syndrome. I'm pretty sure everyone's suffered that at some point but most don't get to suffer their father doing embarrassing acts in the public eye on a daily basis. That is something that Mitsunari Fuganaga has to contend with due to his father being Japan's most embarrassing comedian FUGU 1:25- apart from having a stupid stage name, Fuganaga-san's father's act primarily consists of him pulling out the crotch of a super stretchy pair of pants and pretending that he has a giant erect man-snake. Whilst other cringe-worthy acts have included being slapped across the face with a rotting octopus carcass one thousand times , dry humping a 'wagyu beef' cow and 'drinking' ten cans of Asahi beer through an enema.

Would you want this man as your Dad?

Fuganaga-san is so embarrassed by his father, that their relationship isn't so much estranged, as more a complete disowning of his father by Fuganaga the younger. In fact if you even mention anything about the antics of his father to Fuganaga-san, he gets very tetchy about it, which of course means that the boys in the locker-room take great pleasure about constantly reminding him about it.

Fuganaga senior immortalized in plastic!

One day in December, a few of the younger members of the roster were commenting on the fact that the toy company Good Smile, had brought out a FUGU 1:25 figure for their popular brand of Figma poseable figures and commenting how it had to be the worst Figma ever. Amongst them having a laugh at this preposterous promotional tie in was the current Junior Heavyweight Champion MYSTIC Dragon, and just before our first show of the year on New Years Day he would find out just how fed up Fuganaga-san had become about the locker-rooms constant reminders of how embarrassing his 'comedian' father is.

Desperate for some kind of revenge Fuganaga-san purchased some super strength itching powder, and then when MYSTIC Dragon was taking a shower rubbed the irritant into Dragon's wrestling trunks......

Well as you imagine when MYSTIC put the pants on he was hopping around in great discomfort, before going all quiet and then weeping on the floor in the fetal position unable to handle the extreme pain of the itching. Whilst most in the locker-room found the act to be lame and immature, the culprit couldn't hide his joy at having caused MYSTIC a great degree of pain, shouting out 'WHO'S FUNNY NOW?! , WHO'S FUNNY NOW?!!!'

Though we managed to save MYSTIC by putting him in an ice-bath to cool down his burning privates-I knew I had to take Fuganaga-san aside. I understood that the constant teasing about his embarrassing comedian dad was getting to him, but what he did was incredibly immature and could have put a key member of our roster (our current Junior Heavyweight champion to be exact )out of action. Luckily enough MYSTIC was able to make a full recovery and feature on the show.

I told Fuganaga-san that perhaps if he just ignored the comments about his father and just laugh them off, that the rest of the boys in the locker-room would eventually get bored with the fact that Fuganaga-san's family issues made him an easy target. After giving him a lecture that must have made him feel like an elementary school kid, Fuganaga's tetchy response was 'Fine I get the picture' but I could tell he was irritated by the fact that I called him out on his own stupidity, rather than congratulating him on successfully carrying out his 'revenge'.

BHOTWG- Openweight Tag Grand Prix #1

Tuesday 1st January 2014: Korakuen Hall, Tokyo,Kanto

(2,000 Super No Vacancy)

0. Taro Shionoya & Ieyoshi Shimakage vs Murai Enomoto & Atsumori Takemura

Result: Taro Shionoya & Ieyoshi Shimakage [w] bt Murai Enomoto & Atsumori Takemura [L] in 5:35 when Shimakage submitted Takemura to a Boston Crab.

Rating: C-

Dark Match Notes: The match saw Enomoto and Takemura bravely battle against the dirty tactics of the two Hasami-Gun bottom feeders. Shimakage almost got too cocky, and almost tapped out to a Crossface from Enomoto, but Shionoya was their to save his bacon. The young powerhouse then cleaned house before Takemura was forced to tap out to a Boston Crab from Shimakage.

Even stevens stuff to begin with, until Koyama sneaks in a low blow on Shiomi and drills the 'Sublime Jewel' with a Brainbuster for a two count. P.I.N.K manage to isolate Shiomi in their corner but Yuasha foolishly goes for the Ultimate Tsunami (Big Splash from the second rope) and Shiomi manages to roll away to safety.

From there the match breaks down and ends up with everyone on the floor, leading to Shiomi wiping everyone out with a Tope Con Hilo. Moments later back in the ring Yuasha looked set to dump Shiomi with the Thunder Drop, only for Saito to come to Shiomi's rescue and nail the Baby Elephant with the Saito Flasher (High Standing Knee Strike). Koyama then took out Saito with a Springboard Drop-kick and then took out Shiomi with a Reverse Rana, only for VENOM to suddenly appear out of nowhere and nail Koyama with the Kamuhebi Sliding Kick (Single Leg Sliding Drop Kick to the Face, and with Saito able to keep Shibanumo at bay, that proved to be enough to get the victory for the Team INSPIRE trio .

Result: VENOM [w], Yoshii Shiomi & Hirokumi Saito bt Nisso Yuasha, Toshiki Shibanumo & The Incredible Koyama [L] in 8:49 when VENOM pinned Koyama after a Kamuhebi Sliding Kick (Single Leg Sliding Drop Kick to the Face)

Low key back and forth stuff to start, until Maeda drop-kicks Kokan out of the ring and the match inevitably breaks down to the multiple dives to the floor sequence, where everyone inexplicably stands around waiting for the next guy to take flight . From there on it's a elongated back and forth trading of near falls between both sides, as Size of the Fight take out Maeda with the Big Fight Ender (Lariat Assisted Elemental Suplex) but just minutes later Solid State rebound by planting Kokan with the Tachikoma Impact (Slingshot Legdrop/Facebuster combo).

In the end though it comes down to the two singles additions, rather than those involved in any of the regular tag teams. Yasujiro looked set to dump the junior champ with the Yasujiro Suplex (Wheelbarrow Suplex) only for MYSTIC to roll through for a two count. The 'Bright Warrior' then nailed Yasujiro with a Shining Wizard, before drilling the 'Mighty Mouse' with the Dragon Driver II (Sitout Scoopslam Piledriver) to pick up the victory and remain looking strong heading into 2014.

Result: MYSTIC Dragon [w], Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda bt Bairei Yasujiro [L], Hachigoro Maeda & Haru Kurofuji in 9:28 when MYSTIC pinned Yasujiro after a Dragon Driver II (Sitout Scoopslam Piledriver)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Shimedzu.jpghttp://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff206/freebird8818/NatsuMiyamae.jpg

The opening contest of the 2014 edition of the Openweight Tag Grand Prix, pits the founders of the P.I.N.K stable up against one of Burning Hammer's most storied tag teams.

Typically even stuff to start, until Shibanumo causes a distraction at ringside and Masuko sneaks in a P.I.N.K Mist attack on Shimedzu. A Tornado DDT then gets a two count, before Masuko turns things over to Toshusai. 'Crazy Shocker' peppers Shimedzu with Mongolian chops then hit's a Corner Clothesline, before tagging Masuko back in who comes crashing down upon Shimedzu with a springboard legdrop but that only gets two.

Masuko then tries for a Bridging Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex, but Shimedzu manages to fight out of it and then plants Masuko with a Dragon Suplex. Shimedzu then tries to tag Miyamae in, only for the Bald Dragon to be attacked by Shibanumo and Koyama at ringside.

Back at square one, Shimedzu finds himself dragged back into the P.I.N.K corner. After working Shimedzu over, P.I.N.K set up for the P.I.N.K Dream (Vertical Suplex/Diving Bulldog Combination) but Shimedzu manages to fight his way out and rocks Toshusai with a Roundhouse Kick, before nailing the 'Crazy Shocker' down with a Superkick.

Once again however Shimedzu finds that he is unable to make the tag to Miyamae and then gets planted with a springboard bulldog from Masuko. The Pink Wonder then places Shimedzu in the P.I.N.K Haze (Straight Jacket Triangle Choke) but just as it looked like Shimedzu was about to tap out Miyamae manages to break into the ring and make the save.

Miyamae then drilled Masuko with a Brainbuster, and then nailed Toshusai with the Seizon Senryaku (Corner Springboard Gamengiri) before Shimedzu dusted himself up off the mat and then took out the P.I.N.K interference runners with a Cross Body Splash.

With referee Shinozaki having by now lost all sense of who was the legal man, Miyamae suddenly found himself isolated by a recovered Masuko and Toshusai, who proceeded to combine on taking down the Bald Dragon with a Wheelbarrow Hold/DDT combo. Miyamae managed to kick out of that, but still looked to be in trouble, until Shimedzu came in and broke up an attempt to set up for the P.I.N.K Dream.

The Rebellion then took advantage of a miscommunication between Toshusai and Masuko, before whipping their opponents into the opposing corner, and landing Stereo corner Drop Kicks. Toshusai was then taken out with a Superkick Reverse/STO combo, leaving Masuko to fall victim to the Atama-Supaiku (Aided Piledriver).

Result: Shimedzu & Miyamae [w] bt Marihito Masuko [L] & Tadakuni Toshusai in 11:40 when Miyamae pinned Masuko following the Atama-Supaiku (Aided Piledriver)

After some typical even stevens back and forth, the Team INSPIRE duo take control, when Fuganaga is able to place Sanda into a Figure Four. 'Explosive-San' is able to make it to the ropes, but finds himself isolated in the INSPIRE corner, where Kikkawa and Fuganaga proceed to work over Sanda's legs. Fuganaga then goes for an ankle lock but Sanda manages to fight his way out. Sanda then attempted to limp across to Hamacho, but soon found himself taken down from behind and dragged back into the INSPIRE corner.

Fuganaga then planted Sanda with a Backdrop Suplex for two, but 'Explosive-san 'showed some fighting spirit and managed to nail Fuganaga with a desperation Explosion Kick, which finally gave him the opening to tag in Hamacho.

'The Raging Bull' cleaned house for a bit, knocking Kikkawa off the apron and then tossing Fuganaga across the ring like a rag doll with an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex.

The Raging Bulls then seized control of the match running through a series of signature tag team moves but unable to put Fuganaga away- either due to 'Serious Business' own fighting spirit, or Kikkawa being able to dart into the ring and crucially break up the pin.

The Bulls then had a miscommunication on a Lariat assisted Exploder Suplex combo attempt and Fuganaga was able to nail Sanda with a Running Corner Dropkick before getting the tag to Kikkawa.

Kikkawa then planted Sanda with a German Suplex for a two count, before levelling 'Explosive-San' with the Kikkawa Lariat....

Fortunately for Sanda, Hamacho was on hand to make the save.....

The match really starts to break down here, as Fuganaga and Sanda suddenly start brawling on the outside, leaving Hamacho and Kikkawa in the ring together.....Hamacho manages to duck a Kikkawa Lariat and then turns the Team INSPIRE leader inside out with a spear.....

Fuganaga makes the save but soon finds himself isolated in the ring with both of the Raging Bulls, who then pull off the Bulls on Parade (Yakuza Kick assisted German Suplex Hold). This time Kikkawa is unable to recover in time to make a difference, leading to the reigning Burning World Tag Team Champions beginning their Openweight Tag League Campaign with a victory.

Result: Eiji Hamacho [w] & Chuichi Sanda bt Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Mitsunari Fuganaga [L] in 11:31 when Hamacho pinned Fuganaga following the Bulls on Parade (Yakuza Kick assisted German Suplex Hold)

After some chain wrestling, Panther manages to gain the advantage and dropkicks Kiyaru out of the ring and then takes out the 'Supernatural Genius' with a Corkscrew Plancha to the floor...

The 'Little Phenom' then gets a couple of two counts with a Slingshot Legdrop and a Falcon Arrow, before going up top but Kiyaru brings Panther crashing back in with a hurracanrana, before seizing the momentum with his trademark Tilt-A-Whirl Russian Legsweep, before getting a few near falls himself with a Brainbuster and a Standing Corkscrew Moonsault (which he took forever to pull off and Panther probably could have rolled out of the way of)

Panther seizes back the momentum, when Kiyaru is tripped up from the apron by American Optimus....

Sunset Flip Powerbomb from Panther gets another two count, before the 'Little Phenom' heads up top- but he crashes and burns on a Tumbleweed Legdrop attempt and Kiyaru is able to catch Panther off guard with the Kiyaru Clutch, to pick up a quick flash pin and give one half of the up-coming challengers for the Junior Tag Titles at Quest of Heart a psychological advantage.

Result: The Awesome Kiyaru [w] bt Red Panther [L] in 8:06 by pinfall after a Kiyaru Clutch (Delfin Clutch)

6. Golden Scorpion vs American Optimus

The second American Panther vs Yokai Kingdom singles showdown saw the two combatants engage in more of an intense brawling exchange, that soon spilled out onto the floor, where American Optimus managed to gain the advantage, drilling Scorpion with a Brainbuster out on the floor.

'The Gold and Black Attack' managed to beat the floor count but Optimus managed to maintain the pressure, getting a two count with another Brainbuster before applying the Optimizer (Cross Armed Surfboard). Scorpion managed to fight his way to the ropes, but 'the Dark Legacy' remained in control and headed up top- but Scorpion managed to get the knees up to counter the Ozone Sky Flyer (Shooting Star Press).

Scorpion then seized control with a Rolling Wheel Kick, before sending Optimus crashing into the turbuckle with a Powerbomb, before the 'Dark Legacy' attempted to roll away to safety- but that safety was short lived as Scorpion came crashing through the ropes with a Tope Suicida.

Scorpion then pitched Optimus back into the ring, and followed up with a slingshot legdrop before reeling off a headscissors armbar. American Optimus managed to counter that by lifting Scorpion up and forcing the Gold and Black Attack to release the hold with a Powerbomb.

Optimus then seized back control with a Palm Strike and then attempted to set up for another Brainbuster- Scorpion managed to block that and they engaged in a Brainbuster tug of war before Scorpion finally won out.

Scorpion then looked to set Optimus up for the Kiniromonogatari (Argentine Backbreaker rack dropped into a Piledriver) but Optimus managed to slip off and countered with a Bridging Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex.

Optimus then stunned Scorpion with another Palm Thrust, before planting the 'Gold and Black Attack' with the O-Bomb (Running Power Bomb), which proved enough to keep Scorpion pinned to the canvas for three, resulting in American Panther and Yokai Kingdom splitting their singles series.

Result American Optimus [w] bt Golden Scorpion [L] in 10:12 by pinfall after an O-Bomb (Running Power Bomb)

Horri kicks things off for the 'Sekigun' pair against Masuno. After some basic strike exchanges, Horri manages to gain the advantage, and whips Masuno into the 'Sekigun' corner. Horri and Elemental III work over Masuno, and come awfully close to winning the match before it's really got started when they combine with the Roundhouse Kick assisted German Suplex combo, which results in Hasami-Gun lackey Shimakage distracting referee Shinozaki.

Horri ends up getting into it with Shimakage, but the man who proclaims himself to 'Your Mother's Worst Nightmare' blows cigarette smoke into Horri's face. Shimakage eventually gets tossed by Shinozaki for flouting Korakuen Hall's no smoking policy, but the damage has been done and Black Magic manage to seize control- leaving the smoke blinded Horri in a heap out on the floor and the considerably smaller Elemental III isolated in the ring.

Black Magic then proceed to work over Elemental III, but instead of proficiently putting 'the Universal Hero' away, the toy with iconic masked junior. Eventually Masuno becomes bored of just clubbing Elemental III repeatedly for the hell of it, and sets up for the Day of Rackening (Argentine Backbreaker Rack) but Elemental III somehow still had enough gas left in the tank and countered with a crucifix bomb. The 'Universal Hero' then followed up with a Tiger Feint Kick before knocking Taira off the apron with a drop-kick, and then climbing up top to take down Masuno with a Missile Drop-Kick.....

Elemental III then looked to make the tag to Horri, but saw that his partner wasn't ready, so instead looked to set up for the Elemental Space Drop (No Hands Somersault Plancha) only to be sent back to square one by being levelled with a clothesline from Masuno.

This time Black Magic got serious tossing Elemental III into the corner and following up with a Corner Big Boot and then a Corner Clothesline, before 'the Universal Hero' staggered out into a Double Shoulder Tackle and then got planted with a delayed double team suplex.

Horri managed to break back into the ring to make the save, and then ducked a double clothesline from Black Magic, before taking out Taira with a spear, and then mustering up enough power to plant Masuno with a Spinebuster.

Horri then begged Elemental III to get up and officially tag him back into the match, but unfortunately for the Sekigun pair Taira managed to recover that bit quicker, and levelled Elementall III from behind, before whipping the 'Universal Hero' against the turnbuckle.

Taira then came looked to take out Elemental III with the Taira Ni Suru (Running Corner Big Boot, Followed by a Lariat to an opponent stumbling out of the corner) but the iconic masked man managed to move out of the way at the last split second and then rock Taira with a Roundhouse Kick.....

Elemental III then managed to gather up his last reserves of energy and officially got Horri tagged back into the match. 'Burning Heart' entered the fray like the proverbial inferno ravaged mansion, peppering Taira with fore-arm shot after fore arm shot before rocking Taira with the Destiny Lariat......

'The Bulldozer' managed to stay on his feet but then dazed and confused from the peppering he had just taken staggered into the Hariken Hakai (High Angle Spinning Spinebuster)......

If this was a singles match, that would have been that but Masuno was on hand to make the save......

Horri proceeded to clothesline Masuno out of the ring, only to then turn round into a Chokeslame from Taira. The 'Bulldozer' then managed to tag Masuno back in and Black Magic seized back control planting Horri with a Double Chokeslam.....

Elemental III made the desperation save but Black Magic retained control, tossing both of their opponents out onto the floor and then proceeding to lay a beat down to the Sekigun pair, with Horri taken out with a Black Death (Spike Powerbomb)....

With Horri out cold out on the floor, Elemental III was tossed back into the match, where Black Magic then proceeded to combine on a second Black Death, this time in the ring to deal the decisive blow. Horri and Elemental III put up a brave fight, but in the end the overwhelming combined size and power of Black Magic proved to be too much to take on.

Result: Yasuhiko Taira [w] & Yasunobu Masuno bt Horri & Elemental III [L] in 16:12 when Taira pinned Elemental III following the Black Death (Spike Powerbomb)

8. Openweight Tag Grand Prix:

Sensational Bombastics (Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon) vs

The Manipulators (Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki)

The main event contest between The Sensational Bombastics and The Manipulators began with your typical slow build back and forth, until the INSPIRE duo were able to isolate Sensational Dragon in their corner.

Some trademark moves of The Manipulators such as the Double Suplex Lift into a Neckbreaker and The Reverse STO/Yakuza Kick combo bring the INSPIRE duo a couple of close two counts, before they attempt to tear Dragon apart limb from limb by placing the arrogant Junior Heavyweight into simultaneous arm bar submissions.

That's when Hasami-Gun decide to get up to their usual tricks, Nakasawa manages to distract the attention of referee Umeki, whilst Shionoya and Shimakage storm the ring.... Saito and Toshitala soon come rushing out to help Iesada and Okazaki fend off the Hasami-Gun pests , with the brawl spilling out to the ring....Nakasawa soon enough gets involved, before a recovered Sensational Dragon takes it upon himself to wipe everyone out with a Corkscrew Moonsault Press.....

When the dust settles, it's Dragon and Okazaki back in the ring- Okazaki pulls himself up against the turnbuckle, only to be nailed with a Haruhi Kick (High Velocity Drop-Kick) from Dragon. The 'Ruthless Bringer' then staggers into a Tilt-A-Whirl into an Octopus Stretch.

That puts the Hasami-Gun duo in control, and Dragon eventually turns things over to Nakasawa who brings more pain to Okazaki's mid-section with some knees into the gut. Nakasawa then looked to set up for The Compression Bomb, but Okazaki managed to fight out of it, but was cut off from making the tag by Dragon, who stunned 'Ruthless Bringer' with the Tiger Feint Kick and then planted Okazaki with a Diving Cutter.

Okazaki then found himself dragged back into the 'Sensational Bombastics' corner where he was duly placed into a Rope Hung Neckscissors from Dragon whilst Nakasawa peppered his mid-section with a rapid fire series of chops.

Soon it was Nakasawa's turn to drape Okazaki across the rope, as Dragon came crashing down with a flipping senton. The punishment continued for Okazaki, as he endured a Double Stomp assisted rope hung neckbreaker and then a Snap Release Suplex into the corner from Nakasawa followed by a handspring roundhouse kick from Dragon.

Okazaki was taking all this punishment, but he kept plugging away, not giving in to the pressure- something that was clearly starting to irritate the Hasami-Gun duo who began to berate referee Umeki for what the perceived to be slow counts.

The Sensational Bombastics, then signalled that it was time to put Okazaki away and looked to be setting up for their springboard rana doomsday device called the Psycho Pass, but Okazaki managed to block Nakasawa attempt at putting him in the Electric Chair position and managed to muster up enough fighting spirit to counter with a German Suplex, before knocking Dragon into next week with a Yakuza Kick.

Okazaki then tried to get across to make the tag to Iesada only for Nakasawa to prevent him from doing so, but after being so close to getting some sanctuary Okazaki wasn't about to let that opportunity go and peppered Nakasawa with a flurry of fore-arm shots before tossing 'the H-Bomb' with an Exploder Suplex!

A fresh and fired up Iesada was finally tagged in, nailing Nakasawa with a Running Knee Lift and then flipping the World Champion over into a Northern Lights Suplex, before transitioning into the Iesada Special (Cross Arm Breaker)....

Nakasawa tried to lift Iesada up into a Powerbomb counter but the 'Dangerous' one was relentless in the application of his signature submission hold.....

Seeing that Nakasawa was in trouble, Dragon made the desperation save, before nailing Iesada with a Superkick, which created an opportunity for Nakasawa to tag Dragon back into the match. Iesada however was the one to take control knocking Dragon silly with a Running Fore-Arm Smash, before looking to set up for a Brainbuster but 'Gods Gift to Wrestling' countered that with a stunner, and then headed up top.....

Dragon came crashing down with a Corkscrew Moonsault Press for a two count, before Iesada staggered up to his feet only to get ensnared with the Evangelion (Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors Arm Bar).....

But just as it looked like Iesada might be forced to tap out, Okazaki broke in to make the save... who was promptly dealt with, via a swiftly administered Superkick from the Sensational One.

But Okazaki's intervention allowed for Iesada to recover and he was able to take Dragon down with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip. 'Gods Gift to Wrestling' hobbled back up to his feet but was met with some Rapid Fire slaps from Iesada, who then planted Dragon with a signature move of one of his Junior Division rivals the 'Earth Breaker' Double Underhook Powerbomb made famous by The Elementals......

Dragon managed to kick out at two, but remained in trouble as Iesada looked to set up for The Blackout Driver (Cradle Piledriver), but Dragon managed to resist before raking the eyes of Iesada and then rocking the 'Dangerous' one with a gamengiri, before planting Iesada with a Tilt-A-Whirl DDT.....

Dragon then realising that he was still too far from making the tag to Nakasawa went out onto the apron, and waited for Iesada to stagger back up to his feet......

Before pulling off the SENSATION SHOCK! (Diving Springboard Hurracanrana Pin).....

One......

Two....

Thre.......

Okazaki managed to make the last ditch save , that soon drew Nakasawa into the ring who then sent Okazaki to the floor with a big clothesline.....

Nakasawa and Okazaki were soon brawling out on the floor, as Dragon and Iesada remained in the ring.....

Superkick attempt from Dragon, but Iesada ducks and then plants the Sensational One with a High Angle Belly to Back Suplex, but 'Gods Gift to Wrestle' springs straight back up and nails Iesada with an Enziguiri, before planting the 'Dangerous' one with a Dragon Suplex......

That gets a close two count......

The Sensational One heads up top, as Nakasawa continues to hold Okazaki back.....

DRAGONS INFERNO! (Corkscrew 450)

But Iesada moves out of the way at the last split second....

Dragon staggers up but then gets caught with the IESADA SPECIAL (Flying Cross Arm Breaker)......

Nakasawa is desperately trying to get into the ring to break up the submission but Okazaki is doing all he can to prevent the World Champion from making his way back into the ring.....

Dragon can't hold out for much longer.....

Sensational Dragon TAPS OUT! as The Manipulators emerge with the victory in this hard fought main event against the World Champion and his highly esteemed Junior Division partner.

Result: Tasuku Iesada [w] & Masaaki Okazaki bt Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon [L] in 22:34 when Okazaki made Dragon tap out to the Iesada Special (Flying Cross Armbreaker)

Post match comments from the competing wrestlers at the opening show for BHOTWG Openweight Tag Grand Prix tour at Korakuen Hall.

Tadakuni Toshusai: CRAZY! I am hopping CRAZY! right now, BAKA! BAKA! BAKA! Next time we back in the ring, we make those who get in way, pay, pay, PAY!

Miyamae: I think we reminded everyone out there, that The Rebellion are not something to be consigned to the past, that we can still be a force to be reckoned with. Sure the fact that myself and Shimedzu-san now belong to seperate weight classes means that we are no longer as regular as we once were- but we still have that special understanding whenever we do combine our talents and that special understanding helps us to overcome many that come before us.

Shimedzu: The Rebellion still burns strong, it will never be put out, as long as myself and Miyamae are able to fight. We are not entering the Openweight Tag Grand Prix to make up the numbers, and we certainly aren't past it- we are here to win it and add further to our grand legacy!

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: We took it to them strong out there, but today the Raging Bulls showed their experience as a tag team unit, and took advantage of any errors we made today. Still it is early days, it is only one loss and I assure you that by the end of the Tag Grand Prix Fuganaga-san and I will have battled our way into contention.

Eiji Hamacho: That was a tough match as expected, everyone of these matches is going to be tough- only the very best tandems are competing for this years Openweight Tag Grand Prix, and I would go as far to say that it's the toughest field ever! But the Raging Bulls are the best tag team on the planet, we are the Burning World Champions for a reasons and we will show everyone just why that is so.

The Awesome Kiyaru: The Golden one and myself have taken part in this dance many times before, the American Panther be forewarned that at the Quest that looks at the heart, our heart yearns stronger to stand upon the mountain once more, than the yearning you have to remain a top of it.

American Panther: Old Wooden Face, simply got lucky against the Panther- At Quest of Heart we confirm that we are the greatest Junior Heavyweight Tag Team in the world today and put the well past it's sell by date Yokai Kingdom firmly in their rightful place. But before that we will set our sights on the Openweight Tag Grand Prix, and prove that American Panther are as good as any team in that tournament, regardless of the weight disadvantage we will be forced to endure against every other team.

Kinnojo Horri: I would give Black Magic credit that they were simply too overpowering for myself and Elemental-san to handle, but that simply wasn't the case. Their fellow Hasami-Gun bottom feeders had to get involved.....we were always fighting an up hill battle in this match and this time that hill proved impossible to climb!

Yasunobu Masuno: Oh how did it feel to see Horri look helplessly on as we put that masked nerd Elemental III down with the Black Death- Oh isnt it obvious it felt great, it felt absolutely great. Oh how I always love seeing Horri-san's hopes of victory shot down with disappointment.

Yasuhiko Taira: Horri-san, Elemental-san such brave heroes, such foolish heroes more like and what's even better than seeing the disappointed etched on their faces as the endure inevitable defeat, is seeing all the Little Shinji's bawl their eyes out in the crowd as their heroic favourites become pathetic failures! BWA HA HA HA HA HA !!!

Sensational Dragon: Iesada got lucky, he got lucky...he was lucky that I wasn't prepared to have my arm ripped off.......Only a fool would treat this tournament like a sprint, I had did what I had to do to preserve Nakasawa-san and myself's best chance of winning the tournament and not merely one match.

Hiroaki Nakasawa: It pained me greatly that I couldn't prevent Dragon-san from tapping out, but as he has already pointed out this is only one match and when all is said is done the cream will rise to the top and everyone knows the Sensational Bombastics ...No wait...Hasami-Gun are the cream of the crop in Burning Hammer.

Masaaki Okazaki: One victory down, seven more to go....We know that winning this match won't win us the trophy, but I think we sent a message out there, and message was you are going to have bring your A-Game to get the better of us.

Tasuku Iesada: No doubt our defeated opponents are trying to put a positive spin on their loss, with all that it's a marathon, not a sprint drivel but in all honesty, who's position would you rather be in right now.....The team with a victory on the board, or the one without? I sure as hell know the position, I would rather be in at this stage.

'It's only natural that these three promotions should get together, as we share the same philosophy on delivering quality in-ring action from bell to bell. We have an incredible roster but this alliance allows our wrestlers to put themselves up against the very best that North America has to offer.'

Muronic Moments: Desperate Defecate

January 2014 (Gifu)

Two shows in and I'm now completely convinced that the real reason Iesada-san wanted to hand over 'the book' to someone else, wasn't because he wanted to fully concentrate on just being a wrestler again but because he was fed up having to play supervisor to a bunch of selfish jerks with the maturity age of a class of grade school children.

Prior to our second show in Gifu, the already flakey Elemental III comes up to me and then starts whinging that all the cubicles in the men's restroom were locked with no one in them when he was desperate to go for a number two and that embarrassingly in the end he was forced to unload his waste into one of the urinals.

http://toiletcubicles.org/products/images/UrinalDuctsLarge.jpg

The Cubicles were Occupied

A simpering Elemental III then proceeded to tittle tattle on who he felt was one hundred percent the culprit behind the cruel prank. Apparently whilst in the process of defecating the urinal he could hear Natsu Miyamae snickering whilst peaking from behind a wall, as the culprit witnessed the third Elemental unload in distressing discomfort.

After the show I felt an already tiresome responsibility to call Miyamae-san out on his grade school prank, and I told him quite frankly that I expected a more professional attitude from a veteran like him, and that Elemental III is already very sensitive and certainly doesn't need pathetic pranks like this being pulled upon him. Miyamae-san tried to blow it off saying 'come on it was just a silly prank, I didn't think he'd take it that badly' but I could tell that my simmering disappointment in his behaviour struck a raw nerve.

Results from BHOTWG- Openweight Tag League #2

Friday 4th January 2014: Gifu Industrial Hall, Gifu, Chubu

(2,000 Super No Vacancy)

0. Ieyoshi Shimakage [w] bt Tatsuya Toshitala in 5:17 by pinfall following a Ketsunoana Driver (Over the Shoulder Belly to Back Piledriver)

Rating: D+

Live Show Notes: Solid 5 minute affair between two of our young lions that managed to engage the crowd that could be bothered to watch, rather than hit the merch stalls. Shimakage controlled most of the match with heelish shortcuts but Toshitala managed to stay in it and got a close two count with the Tengoku Backslide, but in the end a sneaky low blow followed by the Ketsunoana Driver got the job done for the man who claims to be 'Your mother's worst nightmare.'

1. Solid State: Hachigoro Maeda [w] & Haru Kurofuji bt Atsumori Takemura & White Samurai [L] in 5:42 when Maeda pinned Samurai following a Beta Blocker (Forward Somersault Cutter)

Rating: D+

Live Show Notes: A slightly drab run of the mill tag match, with Solid State banging out basic signature stuff against the makeshift duo of young boy Takemura and perennial junior division jobber White Samurai.

2. Nissho Yuasa [w] & The Incredible Koyama bt Hirokumi Saito & Yoshii Shiomi [L] in 6:46 when Yuasa pinned Shiomi following a Thunder Drop (Spinout Firemans Carry Facebuster)

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: A relatively short tag match but one that was evenly contested and ended up being surprisingly quite good for the length of time it ran for. Koyama and Yuasa showed good chemistry as a tag team, whilst the finish was nicely executed, with Shiomi going for his Sublime Crossface (Spinning Bulldog into a crossface) on Yuasa, only for the big man to power out of it and then plant Shiomi with the Thunder Drop.

3. Heihachiro Sakai, The Awesome Kiyaru [w] & Golden Scorpion bt Murai Enomoto [L], Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda in 9:06 when Kiyaru pinned Enomoto following a Kiyaru Effect (Tilt-A-Whirl Facebuster)

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: This was like a standard run of the mill Yokai Kingdom vs Size of the Fight match that the crowd must have seen over a thousand times before, only with two heavyweights added to the mix that pretty much added nothing to the match. As always there were some fun fast paced tag spots from the Junior tag mainstays but this was never going to exceed expectations.

4. Tasuku Iesada [w], Masaaki Okazaki and VENOM bt MYSTIC Dragon, Sanetomo Shiraishi & Snow Lizzard in 9:45 when Iesada made Shiraishi tap out to the Iesada Special II (Northern Lights Suplex floated into a Cross Arm Breaker)

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: This match was quite good when the decrepidly slow and broken down Snow Lizzard (either one of them, doesn't matter which one- they both suck) were not in the ring. Quite why Iesada-san felt the urge to give these has-beens a nostalgia run with the tag belts last year beats me, because they are well and truly past their sell by date- in the end Iesada perhaps thinking about the stupidity of that booking decision forced Shiraishi to tap put to the always fluidly executed Iesada Special II.

5. OTGP; Tadiyuki Kikkawa [w] & Mitsunari Fugunaga bt American Panther: American Optimus & Red Panther [L] in 11:29 when Kikkawa pinned Panther following a Kikkawa Driver (Sitout Side Powerslam)

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: Now we are into the business end of the card with this shows round of Openweight Tag Grand Prix matches. The INSPIRE duo of Kikkawa and Fuganaga controlled the early going, but American Panther got some assistance with some distractions/ringside attacks from their Hasami-Gun cohorts Ieyoshi Shimakage and Taro Shionoya to get a foothold back in the match, Iesada and Okazaki ended up chasing away American Panther's additional help.

Fuganaga then found himself playing Spencer Marks but showed great determination by kicking out of several of American Panther's combos before getting the hot tag to Kikkawa, who then proceeded to clean house and put Panther away with the Kikkawa Driver. All in all not a classic but a solidly entertaining match with the interfefence helping to give the considerably outmatched (in terms of size) Junior Tag champs a sniff of a chance.

American Panther kick off their campaign with a loss, whilst Kikkawa & Fuganaga bounce back from their opening night loss.

6. OTGP: Sensational Bombastics: Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon [w] bt The Rebellion: Shimedzu [L] & Miyamae in 12:37 when Dragon pinned Shimedzu following the Sensation Bomb (Avalanche Powerbomb/Shiranui combo)

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: This match mostly consisted of Sensational Dragon being isolated in The Rebellion's corner, but with the legendary tag team just unable to put him away. A ref bump with Koetsu Shinozaki followed by an Ieyoshi Shimakage run in and a pair of superkicks from Dragon (which had some of their fans in the crowd rolling their eyes in disgust) allowed for Dragon to finally get the hot tag into Nakasawa. In fairness The Rebellion did put up some resistance (Shimedzu kicking out of a Compression Bomb) but one the tide had turned in this match it was never going to turn back.

Both teams now at 1-1, with the Sensational Bombastics bouncing back from their opening night setback to The Manipulators.

7. OTGP: Black Magic: Yasuhiko Taira [w] & Yasunobu Masuno bt P.I.N.K: Marihito Masuko [L] & Tadakuni Toshusai in 14:36 when Taira pinned Masuko by pinfall following the Black Death (Spike Powerbomb)

Rating: C+

Live Show Notes: This was one of those matches that probably could have had a couple of minutes shaved off it, rather than added to it to make it better. The main problem was an overlong 'heat' segment with Black Magic isolating Masuko in their corner, and though incredibly out-matched size wise Masuko isn't exactly playing a sympathetic babyface right now. Once Masuko finally got the tag to Toshusai the match did pick up and it became a decent back and forth affair but in the end the Black Magic overall size and power proved too much, with the 'Pink Wonder' falling to the Black Death.

Black Magic off to a great start winning both of their opening matches, whilst the leaders of P.I.N.K find themselves in an early 0-2 hole.

8. OTGP: Raging Bulls : Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda bt Kinnojo Horri & Elemental III in 18:37 when Sanda pinned Elemental following the Raging Impact (Yakuza Kick/Spear combo)

Rating: B

Live Show Notes: The Raging Bulls wisely played subtle heel here which helped give the match some heat, rather than play out as some glorified exhibition match. Horri and Elemental III were on top early on, but the Raging Bulls superior team work saw them take control and isolate Elemental III. However some feisty survival work from Elemental III saw him get the hot tag to Kinnojo Horri. The match then' broke down' with Elemental III popping the crowd with the always exciting Elemental Space Drop to the outside, before both teams traded near falls until Hamacho was able to take out Horri with a Macho-Lariat and then combine with Sanda to deliver the Raging Impact to Elemental.

The reigning World Tag Team champions off to a great start as they move to 2-0, but Horri and Elemental (0-2) already find themselves playing catch up.

Post match the Raging Bulls get on the microphone and proceeded to cut a slightly dull and generic sounding promo (charisma and mic skills aren't these guys forte) where they said they would prove that they are the most dominant tag team in Burning Hammer by going unbeaten in the Openweight Tag Grand Prix.

Muronic Moments: Stepping Up

The man that runs things down at the Hinote Dojo, Stunner Okazawaya had a word with me after the show in Gifu, telling me that Reijiro Hiraki was desperate to be called up to the main roster.

I knew that Hiraki-san had been chugging away in Hinote for a while, but I wasn't quite sure if we really had a space for him on the roster, it wasn't as though we were short of Junior Heavyweights and though he had gotten himself to a decent level in Hinote, he wasn't going to be an upgrade on what we already had in place- in other words were he to be called up he was going to be competing with White Samurai on who could avoid looking up at the lights less often.

Still I thought it was best I hear Hiraki-san out, so I called him to explain the situation. I told Hiraki-san what is role would be, but I could immediately sense his desperation to step up from Hinote, even if that meant 'paying his dues' on BHOTWG shows for the next couple of years.

'Look I'm ready to be called up to the big leagues, I've been ready for a couple of years to be honest. I know how it's going to be for once I get called up but I'm not going to improve any more as a performer in Hinote. If I stay any longer, working against green as grass rookies and second rate journeymen, I'm going to stagnate. I know that if I step up to the main stage, I'm going to be learning from the best both inside and outside of the ring.'

The lad had a point, he was surely going to develop much better testing himself against the likes of Sensational Dragon and Marihito Masuko, whilst also receiving the wisdom of Optimus, than having another match against the likes of Little Dragon or Stunner Sayuki in Hinote.

Won over by Hiraki-san's desire to make that next step in his career, I told him to make his way up to Yamagata in Tohoku, where the next leg of the Openweight Tag League Tour was going to take place.

Results from BHOTWG- Openweight Tag League #3

Monday 7th January 2014: Yamagata City Sports Center, Yamagata, Tohoku (2,000 Super No Vacancy)

0. The Incredible Koyama [w] bt Reijiro Hiraki [L] in 6:15 by pinfall following an Air Koyama (Shooting Star Press)

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: This was a fun Dark match with Reijiro Hiraki making his main roster debut. The simple but effective story saw Koyama show no respect to the eager newcomer but almost getting caught out by not taking Hiraki seriously, in the end though Koyama was able to capitlize on a mistake from Hiraki and then put the young lion away with the Air Koyama.

1. Full Ligament Panic!: VENOM & Yoshii Shiomi [w] bt Bairei Yasujiro &White Samurai in 7:03 when Shiomi pinned Samurai following the Harukaze (Wheelbarrow Facebuster/Diving Knee Drop combo)

Rating: C-

Live Show Notes: Run of the mill junior tag action, that just didn't have enough time to develop into something really good, plus the fact that everyone in the crowd knew that perennial jobber Samurai would end up doing what he does best.

2. Taro Shionoya [w] & Ieyoshi Shimakage bt Hirokumi Saito & Tatsuya Toshitala [L]in 6:34 when Shionoya pinned Toshitala following a Saigo no Seikatsu (Double Handed Chokebomb)

Rating: C-

Live Show Notes: Not much in the way of great wrestling in this one, as the match mostly consisted of referee Shinozaki being distracted by the admittedly entertaining antics of Shimakage (which at one point involved him trying to light up a cigarette in a building with a smoking ban), in the end Shionoya took advantage of his tag partners distractions to give the Hasami-Gun lackey team the victory.

3. Nissho Yuasa [w] & Toshiki Shibanumo bt Heihachiro Sakai & Murai Enomoto in 8:13 when Yuasa pinned Enomoto following a Thunder Drop (Spinout Firemans Carry Facebuster)

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: This was a surprisingly solid back and forth tag match, that managed to engage the attention of the crowd, despite featuring three low card talents and a midcarder that isn't exactly noted for having great 'work rate'. The story of the match saw Sakai and Enomoto try their best to keep Yuasa on the outside looking in, but once the P.I.N.K B team took control, the dominating Yuasa was able to put Enomoto away.

4. The Awesome Kiyaru, Golden Scorpion, Shimedzu & Miyamae [w] bt Sanetomo Shiraishi, Sessue Kawate [L], Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda in 12:28 when Miyamae pinned Kawate following a Seizon Senryaku (Corner Springboard Gamengiri)

Rating: C+

Live Show Notes: A decent 8 man tag featuring a combination of four of Burning Hammers most iconic tag teams, that was good in parts and it was plainly obvious which parts weren't so good- the parts where the painfully slow Snow Lizzard were in control and on offence. Anyway the closing stretch saw a rapid fire exchange of nearfalls after the match inevitably broke down- with Miyamae securing the win after nailing Kawate with the Seizon Senryaku.

5. OTGP: American Panther: American Optimus [w] & Red Panther bt P.I.N.K : Marihito Masuko [L] & Tadakuni Toshusai in 9:18 when Optimus pinned Masuko with a Rolling Cradle.

Rating: C

Live Show Notes: In an oddly booked match P.I.N.K dominated from start to finish, until American Optimus caught Masuko off guard and picked up the win out of nowhere with a flash pinfall. American Panther got more offence in and looked stronger during a losing effort against the Sensational Bombastics and it was blatantly obvious that P.I.N.K were desperate to look strong, due to being on the losing end of their first three matches in the OTGP.

P.I.N.K find themselves in an 0-3 hole and they need to turn things around fast if they have any hope of winning this years tournament, whilst American Panther go an even 1-1 record.

6. OTGP : The Manipulators: Tasuku Iesada [w] & Masaaki Okazaki bt Black Magic: Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno [L] in 13:16 when Iesada made Masuno tap out to the Iesada Special (Flying Cross Arm Breaker)

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: What would win out between brute force and technical acumen? Black Magic took control early, but they were unable to put the Manipulators away, and the more the match wore on, the more the veteran INSPIRE duo seized control. In the end Okazaki managed to neutralize Taira with an STF before Iesada caught Masuno in the Iesada Special. All in all this ended up being a solid contest that played out the expected narrative but didn't exceed expectations.

Black Magic suffer their first loss in the OTGP to fall back to 2-1, whilst The Manipulators are unbeaten in their first two matches, having been the team to be on their 'rest day' on the second show.

7. OTGP : Sensational Bombastics: Hirokai Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon bt Raging Bulls: Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda in 17:06 when Nakasawa pinned Sanda after an H-Bomb (Elevated Sitout Powerbomb)

Rating: B

Live Show Notes: If fans had travelled from Gifu to Yamagata, they pretty much would have seen this match on the previous show, because this was pretty much the same match The Sensational Bombastics had against The Rebellion- except this time it was the Raging Bulls who were unable to put the former Junior champion away due to a combination of determination from Dragon and Hasami-Gun ringside shenanigans. Of course once Nakasawa got tagged in back in (after practically taking the night off on the ring apron) the Raging Bulls didn't stand a chance against the overwhelming power of the World Champion. Formulaic stuff but the crowd however were really into it, and probably bought more into the Raging Bulls nearfalls than The Rebellion's in Gifu.

Raging Bulls fall back to 2-1, which made their we will go unbeaten promo in Gifu look incredibly stupid, whils the Sensational Bombastics move on to the same record.

8. OTGP; Kinnojo Horri [w] & Elemental III bt Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Mitsunari Fugunaga in 19:43 when Horri pinned Fugunaga after a Hariken Hakai (High Angle Spinning Spinebuster)

Rating: B

Live Show Notes: A decent even stevens main event, though one where the bigger stars in Horri and Kikkawa semi took the night off doing a lot of standing around on the ring apron whilst Elemental III and Fuganaga did the majority of the heavy lifting. In the end the finish saw Elemental III take out Kikkawa with a dive to the outside, whilst back in the ring Fuganaga got planted with the Hariken Hakai from Horri as the de facto leaders of the unoffficial Burning Sekigun (Horri is seen as the top babyface heavyweight, whilst Elemental III is seen as the top babyface Junior) came out on top against the INSPIRE duo.

Horri and Elemental finally get a victory on the board to move up to 1-2, whilst Kikkawa & Fuganaga now fall back to the same record.

Post match as is so often the case the victorious team got to have some mic time. Horri said though they had made a poor start to the tournament they were now on the board and would go on to win the rest of their matches.

Horri then vowed that he would win back the World Title from Nakasawa at Quest of Heart, before Elemental III then declared that he would be back on the Junior Division firstly be winning the Best of the Super Juniors in April and then winning back the Junior Title at Fire Dream of the Immortals.

Rating: B-

O.O.C Notes

1. I might be firing things off at a prolific rate at the moment, but things will slow down again once I get to show 5 of the tour, which is the next T.V show.

I've written up a fair amount of the non televised shows (where I'm using the much shorter, more basic format)- for the OTGP tour and even into the next tour. But the TV shows I'm doing on the fly- as it's easier for me to refer to the wrestlers move-sets posted up on the forum for the play by play.

2. You will notice that I've not bothered with wrestler entrance themes this time round. Though they were a fun addition to some of my previous diaries, I always found that the number of themes would end up as broken links. It's the same reason I gave up posting Opening and Ending themes in my anime reviews thread

3. I'm hoping that after I've posted up the next Televised card, that someone will step up to play the role of 'Dave Meltzer' and post up a review of what went down, or to use a GDS forums analogy someone to be the 'Payne' to my 'Monkeypox'. It's why I left off the usual post match comments for the first show.

Thus far what I'm finding with this BHOTWG roster, is that it's chock full of jerks, which makes things a bit 'challenging' (to put things politely) in the game but does give me plenty of juicy backstage situations for the diary :)

Muronic Moments: Shizuoka Days

http://cs688.vk.me/u93773669/a_e9ba6b95.jpg

Childhood Sweetheart

BHOTWG were bringing their tour to Murai Enomoto's home town, and for the unassuming young lion that meant a chance to visit his childhood sweetheart Sekai Katsura- and in his heart it felt that was coming up to the right time to propose to her, after all they had been dating since junior high but each of them always held off making the final leap in their commitment towards one another.

Suited and booted with a bunch of flowers and the all important ring tucked away in his pocket, Murai was about to take the plunge and pop the question. With his heart pounding he approached Sekai's second story apartment and then rung the door bell......And then rung again....No answer.....

Murai wondered why Sekai wasn't answering, as he rung her phone only half an hour earlier and when he spoke to her she said she would be home. Murai decided that he would take a peak in the window to see if Sekai was there and more importantly was OK- what if his beloved had suffered an unfortunate accident or suddenly fallen ill?

But nothing was about to prepare Murai for the horror he was about to witness.....

As he peaked in, his beloved childhood sweetheart Sekai was going at it like rabbit's with another man.......

And to make things even worse that other man was fellow Shizuoka prefecture native Ieyoshi Shimakage. To make matters worse Shimakage saw Enomoto peaking in, and flashed a shit eating grin and a cheesy thumbs up to the heartbroken man.

Suffice to say after having his heart crushed in such a manner, Enomoto-san wasn't particularly in the right frame of mood to work the show.

So I know what you are asking, how in the hell did I come to know about this incident, that sounds as though it was plucked out of some bad visual novel eroge. Well the antagonist of this little story, felt rather proud of his endeavors and insisted on bragging about it to everyone....

' Oh man the pathetic little punk Enomoto's squeeze, Sekai is a right hottie, he was definitely batting way above his station....I think she was pleased she was finally with a real man. Oh what a goer too, she was takin' it in all holes and was just begging to be covered in my man juice. If anyone's interested I bet if you asked her, she'd be up for going at it, with an extra friend.... Hey what the hell just to show what a nice guy I am, I might just ask Enomoto-san if he's up giving Sekai some two for one action.'

Random thoughts.

Tuesday 1st January 2014: Korakuen Hall, Tokyo,Kanto

(2,000 Super No Vacancy)

Really, no lies about a 2,400 super no vacancy? BHOTWG is going the NJPW route.

8th edition of the Burning Openweight Tag Grand Prix

This is a good place to start. I'm always interested in how diaries start. You have to start with something big to estalish the diary. Eisen dived right in showing all the main players and their issues from the first episode. A tournament gives structure to the beginning and a chance to establish all the rivalries while they are chasing the prize.

Result: VENOM [w], Yoshii Shiomi & Hirokumi Saito bt Nisso Yuasha, Toshiki Shibanumo & The Incredible Koyama [L] in 8:49 when VENOM pinned Koyama after a Kamuhebi Sliding Kick (Single Leg Sliding Drop Kick to the Face)

I'm not feeling the pink army yet. Maybe I just remember Nisso being chubbier. Arato was alot of fun as a super porky of puroresu. It goes without saying, the new writing style will take some getting used to.

Result: MYSTIC Dragon [w], Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda bt Bairei Yasujiro [L], Hachigoro Maeda & Haru Kurofuji in 9:28 when MYSTIC pinned Yasujiro after a Dragon Driver II (Sitout Scoopslam Piledriver)

If you ever decide to do a Nihonjin Love Machine, my vote is currently for Hachigoro Maeda. He's no Sexy Zone, but he's still pretty bishi and BHOTWG needs much more bishi. I may be biased.

Result: Shimedzu & Miyamae [w] bt Marihito Masuko [L] & Tadakuni Toshusai in 11:40 when Miyamae pinned Masuko following the Atama-Supaiku (Aided Piledriver)

With referee Shinozaki having by now lost all sense of who was the legal man

Let's see if the poor guys confusion becomes a theme. He'll really struggle in six men matches.

Result: Eiji Hamacho [w] & Chuichi Sanda bt Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Mitsunari Fuganaga [L] in 11:31 when Hamacho pinned Fuganaga following the Bulls on Parade (Yakuza Kick assisted German Suplex Hold)

After some typical even stevens back and forth

Some variation of this seems to be the start of every match. Let's see someone charge in Road Warrior style soon. Kkikkawa is really not going to take this loss well.

Result American Optimus [w] bt Golden Scorpion [L] in 10:12 by pinfall after an O-Bomb (Running Power Bomb)

I'm seeing a little more flow in matches. Just enough detail to start visualizing what's going on.

Result: Yasuhiko Taira [w] & Yasunobu Masuno bt Horri & Elemental III [L] in 16:12 when Taira pinned Elemental III following the Black Death (Spike Powerbomb)

But what will be the ultimate fate of the former Team Mullet? A strong push or are their limitations still to crippling? I can tell you are going to have fun with Shimakage. He's the most distinct personality so far, in a rude, crude sort of way. Kind of a Yojiro/Makabe (before Makabe became a one trick gimmick).

Result: Tasuku Iesada [w] & Masaaki Okazaki bt Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon [L] in 22:34 when Okazaki made Dragon tap out to the Iesada Special (Flying Cross Armbreaker)

until the INSPIRE duo were able to isolate Sensational Dragon in their corner.

Am I the only one who wants to pull the Dragon's ears? Must be me.

DRAGONS INFERNO!

Fly baby fly.

Good main event and a little taste of the full move by move style Tiger is so well known for.

I wonder if I like comments from the wrestlers between the matches better. I think I do, it creates a stronger link in my mind between the comments and the matches.

Good card, and the New Years Shrine Visit was appropriate and hilarious.

American Panther: Old Wooden Face, simply got lucky against the Panther

Soon He'll be calling himself The Cat third person style. Expect Rock style interviews any time now. I do wonder about that mask. I bet it's foam that looks like wood.

Kansuke Konda: It's not the size of the wish, but the size of the wish within that truly counts.

It's not the size of the wish, its (looks both ways to make sure no one hears), um I would like to be taller though. This getting the crap beat out of me because I'm small and tough HURTS.

Sensational Dragon: What do I have to wish for, I am already greater than the gods themselves. I am perfection!

And in todays news, out of a clear blue sky a bolt of lightning struck Sensation Dragon.

Tadakuni Toshusai: CRAZY! I am hopping CRAZY! right now, BAKA! BAKA! BAKA!

says it all.

Results from BHOTWG- Openweight Tag League #4

Thursday 10th January 2014: Twin Messe Shizuoka, Shizuoka, Chubu

(2,000 Super No Vacancy)

0. Nissho Yuasa [w] bt Atsumori Takemura [L] in 1:50 by pinfall after a Thunder Drop (Spinout Firemans Carry Facebuster)

Rating: C-

Live Show Notes: Exactly what you would have expected this to be an extended squash with midcard bully Yuasa dominating the young lion from start to finish. Yuasa it has to be said looks perfectly, even pretty good in these sort of matches.

1. Size of the Fight: Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda [w] bt Toshiki Shibanumo & The Incredible Koyama [L]in 7:02 Konda pinned Koyama after a Konda Kutter (Ace Crusher)

Rating: C-

Live Show Notes: This match happened- it was inoffensive but it was completely forgettable and just kind of there, Size of the Fight ended up winning this non event of a contest when Koyama got caught with a Konda Kutter.

2. Snow Lizzard: Sanetomo Shiraishi [w] & Sessue Kawate bt Taro Shionoya & Ieyoshi Shimakage in 7:05 Shiraishi pinned Shimakage after the Frost Bite (Flapjack/DDT combo)

Rating: D

Live Show Notes: Shionoya and Shimakage both have promise but aren't exactly what you would call great wrestlers yet and at this stage need to be carried by better talents, unfortunately on this occasion they were in the ring with the decrepitly slow and broken down pair collectively known as Snow Lizzard. This was a plodding match with lots of ugly crowd brawling that felt long at 7 minutes. The finish was quite ridiculous too with Shiamkage accidentally blowing cigarette smoke into the eyes of his tag partner before getting nailed with the Frost Bite from the team that already has one foot in the retirement home.

3. Bairei Yasujiro [w], Hachigoro Maeda & Haru Kurofuji bt White Samurai, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion in 7:57 when Yasujiro pinned White Samurai after a Yasujiro Suplex (Wheelbarrow Suplex)

Rating: C-

Live show Notes: Generic junior six man tag, that basically had everyone doing moves at a 1000 miles an hour and had the typical/nonsensical sequence of dives to the floor, where everyone moronically waits on the floor waiting for the next person to show off their aeriel arsenal. In the end Yasujiro picked up the win for this team against the guy who was obviously put in this match to take the fall.

4. MYSTIC Dragon , Kinnoko Horri [w] & Elemental III bt VENOM, Yoshii Shiomi & Hirokumi Saito [L] in 11:05 when Horri pinned Saito after a Horri Bomb (Sitout Spinebuster)

Rating: C

Live show Notes: This was as exactly what one expected it to be a solid middle of the show six man tag, with nearly everyone working hard enough to make it reasonably entertaining whilst obviously holding back from giving all of their effort. Kinnojo Horri who as the big star semi taking the night off, spent most of the time on the ring apron before inevitably being the fresh man to pick up the win for his team when he planted Saito with a Horri Bomb.

5. OTGP: Black Magic: Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno [w] bt The Rebellion: Shimedzu [L] & Miyamae in 9:46 when Masuno pinned Shimedzu after the Black Death (Spike Powerbomb).

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: This was pretty good for what ended up being a ten minute semi squash. The simple but effective story saw The Rebellion continue to survive the onslaught of their considerably larger opponents and even get in a few hope spots before Shimedzu finally succumbed to the Black Death.

Black Magic immediately get back on track and go to 3-1, whilst The Rebellion fall back to 1-2.

6. OTGP: Sensational Bombastics: Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon [w] bt American Panther: American Optimus & Red Panther [L] in 10:09 when Dragon pinned Panther after the Sensation Bomb (Avalanche Bomb/Shiranui Combo)

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: It's an all Hasami-Gun affair, so obviously everyone was concerned that they might pull some crap where one team would end up laying down for the other or they'd get themselves counted on purpose and share the spoils.

In the end Sensational Dragon and American Optimus obviously had some personal pride on the line, and they had some impressive exchanges in the early going with both competitor determined to win, Dragon came out on top of those exchanges but Red Panther ended up coming to Optimus and turned the tide in favour of the Junior Tag champs.

Just as it looked like American Panther were about to pick up the victory, Dragon resorted to low blowing his own stable mate (Panther) before nailing Optimus with a superkick- that lead to Dragon finally getting Nakasawa involved in the match and once Nakasawa was in the Junior Tag champs did not stand a chance against their faction leader. Post match there was some tension between Dragon and Panther over the low blow, but they were soon encouraged by Nakasawa and Optimus to make up with each other and the Hasami-Gun quartet left the ring united.

Sensational Bombastics keep themselves firmly in the hunt by moving up to 3-1, whilst American Panther end up falling back to 1-2.

7. OTGP: P.I.N.K: Marihito Masuko & Tadakuni Toshusai [w] bt Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Mitsunari Fugunaga[L] in 15:43 when Toshusai pinned Fugunaga following the P.I.N.K Dream (Vertical Suplex/Diving Bulldog Combination)

Rating: B-

Live Show Notes: This was a solid back and forth affair that ran for roughly 15 minutes but one that just lacked that bit of extra spark to help take it to the next level, part of that may have had to with a slightly flat crowd who kind of knew that it would be highly unlikely that the P.I.N.K duo of Toshusai and Masuko would end up losing their first four matches, so the crowd weren't getting fully behind the nearfalls of Kikkawa & Fuganaga (especially Fuganaga).

Both teams now find themselves at the bottom with a 1-3 record, though the difference here is that P.I.N.K are finally on the board, whilst Kikkawa & Fuganaga have slipped to the same record after two setbacks in a row.

8. OTGP: Raging Bulls : Eiji Hamacho [w] & Chuichi Sanda bt The Manipulators: Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki [L] in 18:44 when Hamacho pinned Okazaki following a Hamacho Sledge 2K (Side Death Valley Driver)

Rating: B

Live Show Notes: The main event was a good back and forth contest that ended up going nearly twenty minutes- the story here was that The Manipulators looked stronger individually but that the Raging Bulls experience and slightly smoother tag team work kept them in the contest. In the end it was the Bulls who would pull out the victory when Sanda took out Iesada with an Explosion Kick before Hamacho planted Okazaki with the Hamacho Sledge 2K.

The Manipulators suffer their first loss in the OTGP and fall back to 2-1, whilst the Raging Bulls join The Sensational Bombastics and Black Magic at the top of the standings on 3-1.

Post match just as in Gifu, the Raging Bulls treated the crowd to another one of their riveting promos. They said they may have suffered a set back on the previous show, but they would leave no doubt what so ever that they are the best tag team in BHOTWG by taking victory in the OTGP and continuing to see off all comers for the World Tag Team championship.

Rating: C

Overall Show Rating : B-

Burning Openweight Tag Grand Prix #5: Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium #2

0.Toshiki Shibanumo vs Atsumori Takemura

Takemura is probably a young lion, and Shibanumo is not on Snow Lizzard levels of suckage -- this one goes to the old timer

1. Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate) vs Murai Enomoto & Ryushi Sato*

I'm guessing Sato is still young lion at this point? Still, SNOW LIZZARD is not getting a push anytime soon, and this is an opening match -- Murai should probably take it.

* Main roster debut

2. Heiachiro Sakai vs Taro Shionoya

Sakai's probably more over, and will get better ratings.

3. Yokai Kingdom (The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion) vs Barei Yasujiro & MYSTIC Dragon

Team w/name defeats team w/o name

4. 'P.I.N.K' : Marihito Masuko, Tadakuni Toshusai, Nisso Yuasha & The Incredible Koyama vs 'Team INSPIRE': VENOM, Yoshii Shiomi, Hirokumi Saito & Tatsuya Toshitala

I can't take PINK seriously at this point.

5. OTGP: American Panther (American Optimus & Red Panther) vs The Rebellion (Shimedzu & Miyamae)

Two Gajin junior heavyweights versus two BHOTWG wrestlers -- Rebellion win here.

6. OTGP: Raging Bulls (Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda) vs Black Magic (Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno)

This isn't main eventing -- which doesn't make since as these teams are 1-2 in the rankings, unless one of the Bulls is on Time Decline -- in which case, it does make since and Mullet Time will take the victory

7. OTGP: Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Mitsunari Fuganaga vs The Manipulators (Tasuku Iesada & Masaaki Okazaki)

Don't see Kikkiwa haven fallen enough to lose three straight.

8. OTGP: Kinnojo Horri & Elemental III vs Sensational Bombastics (Hiroaki Nakasawa & Sensational Dragon)

Draw possible? I can't pick against H-Bomb, and it makes since to have a clear 1-2 for the next show... Bombastics win and pull even with Mullet Time but could go either way.
