As one would expect, this is a match that is dominated by the three men known as The Empire. They each take turns beating down all three members of The New Day. Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods get very little offense in during this match. During the bout, Kingston is taken out with a Go-To-Sleep by Itami and then sent out of the ring. Kevin Owens takes down Big E with the Pop-Up Power Bomb. This leaves Xavier Woods with Roman Reigns. Reigns yells at a fan whose sign reads: 'Reigns is a coward!' and then catches Woods with the Superman Punch. Then he waits in the corner for Woods to rise to his feet. This past Monday night on Monday Night Raw, The Empire took center stage, attacking everyone in their path, including members of The Authority, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. We have learned that on this night we are going to see Roman Reigns, of the Empire, going one on one with The Viper Randy Orton! Reigns hit Orton with a spear on Monday night. Can he do the same or will The Viper strike The Empire? -Two matches were booked last week on Smackdown for this week. I originally was going to go with The Brotherhood but I thought it felt too close to The Shield. So I took the Roman Empire name and just shortened it to The Empire. I can understand the confusion about the whole one month stipulation to the Dust Brothers match. The truth is that I wanted to make a stipulation that I could actually stick with. Forget groups like The Authority or Evolution or even groups like the Four Horsemen. This is the group that is taking over the WWE. This is The Empire. This past Monday night, The New Day found out what happens when you step in the same ring as The Empire. So did The Authority and so did guys like Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. Daniel Bryan might not even make it to WrestleMania this year. And, hey, if Bryan cannot wrestle, then he will be happy to take the kid's place. Or maybe that match could go to two of the greatest wrestlers to come from NXT: Kevin Owens or Hideo Itami. Reigns' words get interrupted by 'Voices' beginning to play over the P.A. system.] [One of the men that The Empire attacked this past Monday night, Randy Orton, steps out to a good ovation from this Wheeling, West Virginia crowd. The Usos take the early advantage in the match against both Sheamus and Balor. They end up hitting Balor with a double superkick, sending him out of the ring beside his partner Sheamus. The Usos hype the crowd and then go for the stereo dives outside the ring but Jimmy is caught by Sheamus! Sheamus runs Jimmy back-first into the ring post and then dropped with a backbreaker. Sheamus turns and clotheslines Jey to the mat. Sheamus helps Balor to his feet and tosses him back inside the ring along with Jey. Balor takes down Jey with a sling blade but only gets a two count. Balor and Sheamus use quick and frequent tags to keep the fresh man in and keep Jey in their corner. Jey gets a couple of bursts of momentum throughout but is unable to tag in his brother, Jimmy. There is a brand new reaper in the WWE, a new reaper of souls. There is a new man who makes the buzzards circle the skies over the bloody and broken carcasses that have had their souls removed and sent to that place beyond. That is what is going to happen to the old and broken body of The Undertaker at WrestleMania. D-Von tells him to testify before they are interrupted by Roman Reigns. Reigns says that he can tell them exactly who they are. They are the fools who are in the path of The Empire. Itami blows mist into the eyes of Bubba Ray Dudley and the three on two attack is on. Bubba Ray and D-Von try to hold on for as long as they can but the numbers game quickly takes it's toll. They bring The Dudleys down to the floor and then move over where a catering table is set up. Kevin Owens and Hideo Itami clear the table and then grab D-Von Dudley. This is his opportunity for a WrestleMania moment. He says that the WWE Intercontinental title has been held by some of the best in the business. Men like Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and, of course, the Show-Off himself Dolph Ziggler. He talks about the fact that the Intercontinental title has long had the best wrestlers to hold the title. It has been known as the 'wrestling' title. What better title for the Show-Off to hold? Then he turns his attention to his opponents at WrestleMania. He says that Dean Ambrose is a Lunatic Fringe. He knows that. But he beat Dean Ambrose last week right here on Smackdown. Then there's Bad News Barrett, the man who beat him for the Intercontinental title on Monday Night Raw in a match that was changed by the former Director Of Operations Kane. At WrestleMania there will be no changes in the match. He says that at WrestleMania, he is going to show off and take his Intercontinental title back. A sign is shown in the background, reading: 'Pig Slowd and Oldberg!' After a moment of talk, they begin exchanging punches back and forth. Big Show grabs Goldberg by the head and shoves him into a corner. Show strikes Goldberg with a headbutt and then a chop to the chest. Goldberg staggers out of the corner and Show grabs him by the throat. Show picks up Goldberg but Goldberg drops down behind him. Goldberg catches Show around the waist -- German Suplex! The crowd bursts into 'Goldberg' chants loud and clear. Goldberg stands to his feet and then moves into the corner. He is perched and ready for Big Show but Show rolls outside the ring. The match continues with a back and forth showdown between the two men. The match moves outside the ring where Show whips Goldberg into the barricade. Goldust looks Fandango up and down for a moment and then shakes his head, moving around him to continue walking down the hall. Fandango warns Goldust not to turn his back but Goldust keeps walking. Fandango moves in and attacks Goldust from behind, knocking him down with a clip to the knee. Fandango stomps on the knee and then yanks on it hard. He tells Goldust that he will never forget the night he met FAN...DAN...GO! Fandango walks off as officials come and check on the knee of Goldust. The opening few minutes of the bout are spent back and forth between these two men with neither man sustaining an advantage. The more veteran Orton takes the advantage and sends Reigns into a corner. He follows in with a corner clothesline and then takes Reigns down with an inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton makes the cover: One, Two, Kickout! Orton runs his forearm along the head of Reigns and then both men get to a vertical base. Orton tries to swing Reigns to the ropes but Reigns lands on the apron and then grabs Orton, dropping him with a hangman on the top rope. Reigns re-enters the ring and goes on the offensive. He sends Orton to the ropes and drops him with a tilt-a-whirl slam. He plays to a booing crowd and some fan signs are shown, including: 'Reigns Bought In!' and 'Reign O'er Me!' Reigns picks up Orton and whips him into the corner. He follows him in with a corner clothesline and then a Superman Punch! After the argument, Reigns slides inside the ring and picks up Orton, -- Rock Bottom! Roman Reigns drops Randy Orton with The Rock's finisher, mocking his cousin. Reigns laughs and stomps on Orton before picking him up and shoving him into a corner. He picks up Orton and sets him on the top turnbuckle. Reigns climbs up, hooking Orton but Orton gets a second wind, throwing punches to the gut of Roman Reigns. Orton shoves Reigns off the turnbuckle and Reigns lands hard! Orton climbs to the top slowly and carefully -- Diving Elbowdrop off the top turnbuckle! Orton has the crowd going wild as he looks around. He picks up Reigns and swings him through the ropes, hooking him in a front facelock -- Rope Hung DDT! Orton connects with the DDT! The man formerly known as The Legend Killer picks up Reigns and sends him to the ropes -- Reigns ducks a punch -- Scoop Powerslam by Orton! Reigns is dropped on the mat and Orton seems to be going to that place where he hears voices in his head! He drops down to the mat and begins punching the mat, looking at Roman Reigns, perching and waiting for Reigns to get to his feet. A sign goes up that reads: 'RKO FTW!' Orton goes for the RKO but Reigns shoves him off! Orton staggers right into a briefcase shot from Seth Rollins! Roman Reigns just about broke Mr. Money In The Bank in half with the spear! Reigns stands up and looks at the two fallen bodies on the mat. He releases a loud shout as a couple more fan signs are shown, including: 'The Empire is going to Reign supreme!' and '$9.99!' Roman Reigns stands tall at the end of this evening. As Roman Reigns celebrates, the credits begin to roll along the bottom of the screen. Reigns is loudly booed by the fans here in attendance. But he doesn't seem to care. The prizes have yet to be determined. A single win is given each time a person scores the most predictions right in a given show. The most wins at the end of March is declared the winner.
