WCW MAYHEM - EP. 8 - TAYLOR ARENA @ MAYO CIVIC CENTER - ROCHESTER, MN - 6-9-15 (Taped)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Video aired from the end of last week's cage match between Flair and Orton with Zbysko suspended in a cage above ringside.

Video: Orton got to his feet and Flair fired away with more chops that staggered Orton. Suddenly, the cage holding Zbysko started to lower. Cage cam shot showed an unsuprised Zbysko in the cage as it lowered. Zbysko had his left hand in his left jacket pocket. Flair then nailed Orton with a shin breaker and held Orton's left leg as Orton went down. Flair locked Orton in the figure 4. Ref still down.Orton tried to scoot towards the ropes while in the hold but Flair scooted back towards the center of the ring. Orton was in the hold for several more seconds and then frantically started tapping out but no ref. Flair kept the hold locked on a little longer and seemed completely oblivious to the lowering cage. Flair let go of the hold and then went over and checked on the ref and had his back turned towards Orton. As Flair tried to revive the ref, the cage touched ground and Zbysko let himself out of the cage. Zbysko reached into the right pocket of his Pirates jacket as Orton scooted over near the cage. Zbysko slid something through the mesh to Orton. Crowd popped as the Dynamite Kid came limping/running down the aisle. Kid slammed Zbysko's head into the cage and Zbysko staggered back up the aisle and then turned tail and ran as Kid gave chase as best he could. Flair looked over and saw the lowered cage and the chase. Orton was still down in the corner and Flair went over and grabbed Orton by the hair and started to pull Orton up when Orton blasted Flair with a foreign object-laden right hand. Flair dropped like a rock to the mat. Orton dropped the object in his tights. Ref was stirring. Orton slowly made his way over to the out of it Flair and reached down and grabbed Flair's left leg.

Orton: "Now, we go to school! Whoo!"

Orton wrapped Flair in the figure 4 and Flair was in no position to resist. Ref crawled over to where Flair laid, his shoulders down on the mat. Still-groggy ref looked over the scene.

Orton: "Count!"

Ref then counted slowly. 1......2......3! Ref called for the bell.)

('Thus Sprach Zarathustra' played and the fans popped as they awaited the arrival of Ric Flair. The cheers melted into boos when out came Zbysko and Orton. Both were in street clothes. Orton was also wearing what looked like a cheap bathrobe that had been crudely fashioned into a Ric Flair ring robe. Orton was also wearing a blonde wig and sunglasses. Each man had a mic. Both men climbed into the ring and soaked in the negative crowd reaction for a moment.

LZ: "What a win for Bob Orton last week, huh?! As you can see, with me is the man that Orton beat, Ric Flair! Ric, I know you and I have had our differences! But I have to ask this? What was it like to lose to Orton last week in that steel cage match!"

BO: "Whoo! Whoo! Whoo! Larry! The 'Nature Boy' has to admit that last week he was beaten by the superior opponent! Whoo! 'Cowboy' Bob Orton was just too much for me in the end! You all saw it! He beat me with my own finisher the figure 4! Whoo! And I have to tell all of you this! I thought I was the master of the figure 4! Not anymore! The real master of the figure 4 is Bob Orton! Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

LZ: "Alright, Ric! That last whoo was a little long-winded..."

BO: "That's because the 'Nature Boy' is long-winded! Whoo!"

Orton did a bad mock version of the Ric Flair strut in the ring.

LZ: "Ric, we need to clarify something for these fans right now. After the cage I was in magically lowered to the ground and I was able to walk out if its unfriendly confines, I've been accused of walking over to the cage and handing a foreign object to Bob Orton! We need to settle this once and for all! Do you, Ric Flair, think I gave Bob Orton a foreign object to use on you?!"

BO: "Whoo! Limosines, jet flyin', ladies, whatever! I will put this controversy to bed right now! Bob Orton knocked me silly at the end of our match last week with only his fist! I have never felt a punch like that before in my life! And I will swear under oath that it was all Orton! He didn't need no stinking foreign object to shatter my finely shaped glass jaw! Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!"

LZ: "I only went over to the ring to offer Bob some moral support! There was nothing more to it! And for you people to think there was, well, that says a lot more about you than it does about me!"

BO: "Larry! We may not like each other! But these peoples' minds out here, even though they may be, whoo!, my fans, are in the gutter on this matter! I know that you wouldn't have done anything so low as to hand Bob Orton a weapon during our cage match! Hey! It's time for everyone to get on the Whoo Train! Haha!"

Orton started to make a motion like a train when WCW executive Jim Herd came walking to the ring with mic in hand. He was wearing a suit. Orton saw Herd and stopped the train.

LZ: "What do you want, Herd?"

BO: "Are you here to mess with the 'Nature Boy's career once again?! Whoo!"

JH: "Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton, I'll be brief. I've got two pictures I want to show everyone from the cage match last week."

First pick popped up on the JumboTron. It showed Zbysko in the cage above ringside. Zbysko had partially pulled something out of his left jacket pocket. It was a small black square with a small blue light in the middle. The image was caught on the overhead cam in the cage Zbysko was in.

JH: "Care to explain that, Larry?"

Zbysko seemed briefly at a loss for words.

LZ: "I was, uh, checking my text messages! What's your point?!"

JH: "That hardly looks like a cell phone. That picture was taken of you right before the cage you were in started mysteriously lowering back to the ground."

LZ: "Coincidence! Pure coincidence!"

JH: "Zbysko! The World Class Executive Committee believes that you somehow lowered that cage and you used that device to do it!"

LZ: "Prove it, Herd!"

JH: "You were somehow able to get into the computer system that was used to lower and raise the cage! We don't know how you got in there and were able to pick up the signal, but we have no doubt that you did it! There's no way that cage could have lowered when it did without some sort of chicanery because it wasn't being operated at the time in the back!"

LZ: "You've got nothing!"

JH: "OK. Look at this."

Pic showed Zbysko next to the ring cage appearing to hand something to Orton.

JH: "If you look closely at that picture, you can clearly see what appears to be an object of some sort being passed from you to Orton."

LZ: "No! No! No! I didn't! You guys doctored that picture!"

Orton had now removed his wig.

JH: "Please! Everybody knows the kind of man you are, Larry!"

BO: "The only thing I used to knock Flair senseless was my right fist!"

JH: "Your right fist...and whatever Zbysko gave you."

BO: "You're just conspiracy mongering now..."

JH: "I've got a couple of more things to tell you. Nobody saw who banged Dynamite on his left knee last week. He was supposed to be in that cage with you Zbysko. How convenient that he was hurt just minutes before the match. We're investigating that incident right now."

LZ: "Your whole case, Herd, is circumstantial! It's weak! Come back when you've got..."

JH: "Tonight! You two are wrestling in a tag team match! And your opponents will be Steve O and 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin!"

LZ: "What?! This is outrageous!"

BO: "Hey! We didn't think we were wrestling tonight! It was supposed to be a night of celebration for us after I beat Flair last week!"

JH: "Bob, you'd better enjoy your ill-gotten gain from last week while you can. Because next week, you're wrestling Ric Flair again! And this time, your partner in crime here will be banned from the building!"

Crowd cheered the news.

LZ: "You can't do that! This is unfair!"

JH: "I can do it and I just did! You two might wanna go get ready. You've got a big match coming up tonight."

Herd left the ring to cheers as Zbysko and Orton were beside themselves in the ring and having an animated conversation with each other.)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers. Briefly discussed the opening segment and then ran down the program: Zbysko & Orton vs. Irwin & O; another video of the incoming Rick Martel; an interview with Kamala's manager Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey; and more!

Announcers also noted that the Tommy Rich interview, originally scheduled for this week, will take place on next week's episode. Said Nord The Barbarian vs. Tito Santana was coming up next!)

(Commercials)

Match 1

Tito Santana vs. Nord The Barbarian

(Mariachi music filled the arena and Tito Santana came out to a decent ovation. He was wearing a sombrero, red and black ponchoo, red tights with a white sombrero on the backside and black boots with small Mexican flags on the outside of each boot. Santana slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. Santana saluted the crowd once in the ring.

'Deaf Forever' by Motorhead filled the arena and out came Nord. He stomped around on the stage and was holding up his big steel chain. Nord made his way to the ring to pretty strong boos. He was in his fur-lined vest, black tights with the word 'Berzerker' in white written in a lighting-like letter style on the back, and fur-lined wrestling boots.

Nord got in the ring and stomped around while holding his chain in the air. Ref had words with Nord and Nord acted loike he was going to hit the ref with the chain and the ref jumped back. Ref then said something to Nord and Nord laid the chain over the top ring bolt that connects the ring post to the turnbuckle.

Ref called for the bell.

The two men came out and circled one another and engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Nord quickly got the upper hand and started pounding away on Tito's upper back with a series of forearm smashes. Nord then picked Tito up and rammed Tito back-first into the buckles and drove a series of knees into Tito's gut. Nord whipped Tito into the opposite buckles and came in and Nord struck Tito in the side of the head with an open hand. Nord then started choking Tito out with his boot but broke the illegal move at the ref's count of 4. Nord repeated the move and broke it at 4 once again. Nord then had a few words with the ref and then feigned like he was going to backhand the ref. Nord whipped Tito back into the opposite buckles. Nord then charged at Tito but Tito got a boot up and caught Nord flush in the jaw. Nord staggered back and Tito dropped Nord with a dropkick. Nord got to his feet and Tito caught Nord with another dropkick that dropped Nord once again. Tito then went out on the apron. As Tito was climbing to the top turnbuckle, Don Muraco, in street clothes, made his way to the ring with a chair in one hand and a plate with a couple of tacos and a squeeze bottle of hot sauce in the other. Muraco placed the seat at ringside and started eating his tacos.

Schiavone: "What on earth is Don Muraco doing out here?!"

Madden: "Looks like he's watching the match and having some tacos! Hey! Wonder if those are the free tacos that Muraco said Santana was supposed to give away after every match he won?!"

Nord got to his feet and Tito came off the top turnbuckle and caught Nord with a diving clothesline. Nord down. Tito for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2... Nord kicked out. Tito caught Nord with a couple of punches and whipped Nord into the ropes and bent down looking to catch Nord coming off with a back drop but Nord leapforgged Tito and Tito turned around and was greeted with a boot to the face by Nord. Tito crashed to the mat. Shot of Muraco squirting hot sauce from the plastic squirt bottle on his taco and taking a bite. Nord stomped around the ring and yelled: 'Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!' before hitting the ropes and coming off with his flying leg drop finisher but Tito rolled out of the way and Nord crashed to the mat. Both men down. Both men made it to their feet and Nord charged wildly at Tito and the men accidentally butted heads. Tito crashed to the mat next to the ropes and Nord stumbled back and crashed to the mat away from Tito. Ref went over and briefly checked on Tito and then went over and checked on Nord. While the ref checked on Nord, Muraco arose from his seat and tossed his tacos. Tito had gotten to a knee and was facing the crowd next to the ropes. Muraco walked up and squirted Tito in the eyes with the contents of the hot sauce bottle.

Madden: "Wow! Looks like Muraco's hot sauce was so hot that the bottle exploded!"

Schiavone: "Give me a break, Mark!"

Tito stood up and had his hands covering his eyes. Nord made his way to his feet and Tito turned around and was blasted by another Nord boot to the face. Tito crashed to the mat. Nord hit the ropes and came off and connected with his flying leg drop finisher. Nord covered Tito and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as Muraco, hot sauce bottle still in hand, took it all in from the aisle.

WINNER: Nord - Pinfall - Flying Leg Drop - 3:43)

(Announcers discussed Muraco costing Tito the match with Nord by squirting hot sauce in Tito's eyes. Hyped still to come: Irwin & O vs. Orton & Zbysko; and more! Said an interview with Shiek Adnan El-Kaissey was coming up!)

(Commercials)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson was standing by.

SH: "We're back here on 'Mayhem'. I'm looking for Don Muraco so I can ask him why he just squirted hot sauce in the eyes of Tito Santana and cost him his match with Nord The Barbarian. There he is! Don! Can I have a word with you?!"

Muraco was preparing to leave the building. He was still holding the squirt bottle of hot sauce.

DM: "What is it? I'm in a hurry."

SH: "Why did you squirt hot sauce in Tito Santana's eyes? Also, why were you at ringside in the first place?"

DM: "I just wanted to have a good seat for the match between Tito and Nord. Like any good fan, I was enjoying some food while taking it in. By the way, I paid for those tacos. So Tito still owes me a free taco since he beat Kamala a couple of weeks back. As for the hot sauce going into Tito's eyes, man, this bottle of hot sauce must be defective or something. I'm gonna send it back to the manufacturer and get my $1.99 refunded."

SH: "Why did you walk up to the ring then if blinding Santana with that hot sauce wasn't your plan?"

DM: "I just wanted to get a closer look at the match. And then...poof...the hot sauce unexpectedly went off right in Santana's eyes."

SH: "You expect us to... Hey!"

Santana charged into the picture and clubbed Muraco across the back with a forearm. Muraco dropped the sauce. Tito spun Muraco around and started peppering Muraco with head shots and then slammed Muraco into an exit door and the door opened up and Muraco stumbled outside and fell to the ground. Tito jumped on Muraco and the two started rolling around on the pavement exchanging punches. WCW security came out and, after a brief struggle, were able to separate the two and hold them at bay.

Mic picked up Santana:

TS: "Muraco! You wanna play! Then let's play, gilipollas! I'm coming for you! And I'm not gonna stop until I smash you into the ground!"

Security hustled Muraco away as a seething Santana looked on.)

(Announcers discussed the fight between Santana and Muraco and said to expect that situation to get hotter in the coming weeks. Then sent it to Craig Johnson in the ring.)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson was standing by.

CJ: "Ladies and gentlemen! He is the manager of the Ugandan Headhhunter Kamala! Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey!"

'Cry of the Vatos' played over the p.a. system and Kaissey made his way to the ring to boos. He was in an expensive suit wearing the typical Arab male headwear.

CJ: "Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, we haven't seen Kamala recently. And I notice that neither he nor Kimchee is with you tonight. Where are they?"

AK: "First of all, Craig Johnson, praise be to Allah! The reason you have not seen Kamala and Kimchee recently is because Kamala is on a wrestling tour of Japan and Kimchee is with him!"

CJ: "Kimchee, of course, is the man you hired to be Kamala's handler to keep the wild man in line."

AK: "Kimchee is not with Kamala to keep him in line you American infidel idiot! Kimchee is with Kamala to keep him under control! Kimchee and myself are the only people who know the secrets to keeping the African wild man from becoming a public menace that would be unlike anything society has ever seen! One of us must be around Kamala at all times or he will become a danger to anyone and everyone around him!"

CJ: "Will Kamala and Kimchee be returning to World Class soon?"

AK: "They will be returning in the very near future! And not long after they return, reinforcements will be coming in as well!"

CJ: "Wait! What do you mean, reinforcements?"

AK: "As a wealthy Shiek, I am using my great fortune from the oil business to build something big here in World Class Wrestling!"

CJ: "What...what are you planning to build?! You need to tell us!"

AK: "I don't need to tell you or any of these other infidels anything! I will only say this! You will know what I mean by reinforcements when you see them! This interview is now over!"

Sheik turned and walked out of the ring.

CJ: "Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, everyone. What he's talking about building here in WCW is anyone's guess. Tony and Mark.")

(Announcers discussed the interview with El-Kaissey. Wondered what he was planning. Said Orton & Zbysko vs. Irwin & O was coming up!)

(Commercials)

(Announcers intro'd another video of the incoming Rick Martel. Video showed Martel in action against different opponents and finishing some of them off with his swan dive finisher. Video also showed Martel mingling with fans at a meet and greet before a show in Australia. Picture faded to black and the following words appeared on the screen: Rick Martel! Coming soon to World Class Wrestling!)

(Announcers hyped Martel coming soon. Also hyped for next week: Ric Flair vs. Bob Orton with Larry Zbysko barred from the building; a special interview with Tommy Rich; and a major announcement coming from the WCW Championship Committee.)

Match 2

'Cowboy' Bob Orton & Larry Zbysko vs. 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin & Steve O

('Hand Jive' by George Thorogood played and Steve O and Bill Irwin came to the ring to a modest ovation. O was wearing a blue ring jacket with 'Steve O' written in white cursive letters on the back, blue tights and white boots with blue trim. Irwin was wearing blue jeans, cowboy-style wrestling boots, a white trenchcoat with black trim and white cowboy hat. The pair slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

'I'm The Man' by Anthrax played and Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton made their way to the ring to strong boos. Orton was in his green tights, black boots with white horseshoes on the outside of each boot and was also wearing a black vest and cowboy hat. Zbysko was in his black ring jacket with the initials 'LZ' in gold lettering across the back, black tights and black boots with his initials 'LZ' also in gold lettering on the outside of them.

Match was dominated early by Orton and Zbysko but Irwin and O fought back and made it an exciting match and came close on a few occasions to pulling the major upset victory. Crowd got firmly behind Irwin and O as the match progressed.

At the end of the match, Irwin and Orton were the legal men in the ring. Orton had the advantage and went to catch Irwin in a backslide but Irwin reversed and caught Orton in a backslide for the pin. 1...2... Orton kicked out. The two got up and Orton stunned Irwin with a kick to the gut. Orton whipped Irwin into the ropes and looked to catch Irwin coming off with a clothesline but Irwin ducked the move and came back and dropped Orton with a clothesline of his own. Orton got to his feet and turned around right into a bicycle kick from Irwin. Orton crashed back to the mat. Irwin for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2...2-1/2... Zbysko hit the ring and broke up the pin by stomping on Irwin's back. O hit the ring and was able to connect with a couple of punches on Zbysko. Ref was able to separate the pair. Ref started pushing O back to his corner and the ref and O exchanged words. While that was going on, Zbysko reached into his tights and pulled out a foreign object and slyly handed it to Orton. Zbysko got back in his corner as the ref finally got O back in his corner. Both Orton and Irwin made it to their feet at the same time. Orton went to hit Irwin in the head with a foreign object-laden punch but Irwin ducked the move and Orton had swung so wildly he spun himself around facing away from Irwin. Irwin dropkicked Orton in the back and Orton crashed front-first into the buckles, causing Orton to drop the foreign object to the floor. Crowd roared. Zbysko hit the ring but so did O.O pulverized Zbysko with a flying shoulder tackle that sent Zbysko crashing to the mat. Zbysko rolled out of the ring and dropped to the floor as O followed him out. Irwin grabbed Orton in a front facelock and went to nail Orton with a suplex but Orton twice blocked the move and stunned Irwin with modified front suplex that crotched Irwin on the top buckle. Orton mounted the middle buckle and popped Irwin with a couple of head shots. On the floor, O was on the offensive against Zbysko and went to whip Zbysko into the ringside barricade but Zbysko reversed and sent O slamming into the barricade. O in a heap on the floor as Zbysko put the boots to him. In the ring, Orton blasted Irwin with his superplex finisher. Zbysko climbed back on the apron. Orton covered Irwin. Crowd exploded as Flair and Kid, in street clothes, came charging down the aisle. Kid was still moving with somewhat of a limp from the attack last week. Flair had a steel chair and Kid had an aluminum baseball bat. The two got in the ring. There was no count as Orton quickly got off of Irwin. Ref called for the bell. Kid went over to hit Zbysko with the bat, but Zbysko dropped from the apron to the floor just before Kid could hit him. Orton wasn't so lucky as Flair bashed Orton across the back twice with the steel chair. The second shot sending Orton toppling through the top and middle rope and crashing to the floor as the fans were going nuts.

Schiavone: "Ric Flair and the Dynamite Kid weren't even scheduled to be here tonight!"

Flair and Kid were standing in the ring at the ready with weapons in hand as Zbysko helped Orton to his feet on the floor. Ring announcer Craig Johnson made his way into the ring.

CJ: "Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid! No one expected to see you guys here tonight..."

Flair spoke as Kid remained at the ready with bat in hand if Zbysko and Orton tried to climb back into the ring.

RF: "I know those two sons of bitches didn't expect to see us tonight! Zbysko and Orton! Over the last few weeks, you've attacked us with chairs and other weapons! Well, two can play at that game!"

Flair held the chair up in the hitting position.

RF: "You guys wanna fight with weapons?! Then let's do it!"

Crowd cheered as Zbysko and Orton, moving towards the aisle, looked on.

RF: "And Orton! Next week, Zbysko won't even be in the arena to help you! And as God is my witness, when I lock you in the figure 4 during our match, there will be no escape! And I'm gonna make damn sure you suffer in the hold!"

More crowd cheers. Zbysko and Orton still looking on and they weren't happy campers. Dynamite then spoke.

DK: "Larry Zbysko! I know it was you who attacked me in the dressing room last week! I don't know what you hit me with, but I'm still feeling the effects of it! But know this! Even if I can wrestle on only one leg, you and me are gonna meet in this ring and I'm gonna unleash my fury on you! Hell to pay doesn't even begin to describe what I have in mind when we clash!"

CJ: "Fans! We are out of time! See you next week on 'Mayhem'!"

Show ended with Flair and Kid gesturing for Zbysko and Orton to get in the ring and Zbysko and Orton looking on angrily.

DECISION: No Contest - Flair & Kid interfered - 11:44)

(Announcers discussed the announcement of the Battle Royal to determine the first-ever Tru TV Champion in two weeks on 'Mayhem'.)

Match 1

'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell vs. 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin

('Call Me' by Blondie played and out came 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell. Bagwell had a pretty woman (clients?) on each arm as he came down the aisle. Bagwell was wearing a black sweat suit with the jacket unzipped revealing his bare chest. The two ladies got on the ring apron and sat down on the middle rope and held the ropes open for Bagwell to step through. Bagwell stood in the corner and one lady removed his sweat jacket and handed it down to the ring attendant. On the back of the jacket were the words 'Time Is Money' in white lettering. The two ladies then knelt down, one on each side of Bagwell and pulled his sweat pants off. Bagwell was wearing black leg-length tights and black wrestling boots. He had three gold dollar signs on the back of his tights. Bagwell then kissed each lady on the lips before they left the ring.

'Nevada Fighter' by Mike Nesmith played and out came Bill Irwin to a decent ovation from the crowd. He was wearing blue jeans, cowboy-style wrestling boots, a white trenchcoat with black trim and white cowboy hat. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Irwin took off his coat and turned away from Bagwell to hand the coat to the ring attendant. Bagwell took advantage and dropkicked Irwin in the back and Irwin crashed front-first into the buckles.

Ref called for the bell.

Bagwell moved in and hammered away on Irwin's back with a series of forearm smashes. Bagwell then backed up and charged at Irwin and nailed Irwin with a splash to the back. Irwin staggered backwards out of the corner and crashed to his back in the ring. Bagwell for the cover. 1... Irwin kicked out. Irwin got up on all fours and Bagwell grabbed the top rope and drove a series of knees into the side of Irwin's ribs. Bagwell whipped Irwin into the ropes and caught Irwin coming off with a big clothesline that dropped Irwin. Bagwell then turned and struck a bodybuilder pose for his ladies and the ladies cheered him on. Bagwell bent down and started to pull Irwin up when Irwin stunned Bagwell by catching Buff in a small package for the pin. 1...2... Bagwell kicked out. Both men to their feet. Buff kicked Irwin in the gut and whipped Irwin into the ropes and looked to catch Irwin coming off with another clothesline but Irwin ducked the move and came back and nailed Buff with a flying lariat. Buff crashed to the mat. Irwin popped Buff in the head with a series of punches and then started pounding the back of Buff's head against the mat. Irwin went out on the apron and mounted the top buckle as Buff got to his feet. Irwin went to nail Buff with a flying bodypress but Buff caught Irwin and turned it into a powerslam. Buff for the cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Irwin kicked out. Buff hit the ropes behind Irwin as Irwin got to his feet and nailed Irwin with a face buster. Irwin got to his feet. Buff moved in and caught Irwin with a swinging neckbreaker. Buff for the cover. 1...2... Irwin got a shoulder up.

Schiavone: "You have got to admire the way Irwin is fighting here. Buff has had the advantage most of the match, but he can't put Irwin away."

Buff pulled Irwin up and slammed Irwin's head into the top buckle and spun Irwin around and nailed Irwin with a series of rapid-fire shoulder blocks to the gut. Buff then pulled Irwin out of the corner and hoisted Irwin up and popped Irwin with a slingshot suplex. Buff for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2...2-9/10... Irwin kicked out again. Crowd buzzing. Buff then grabbed Irwin and nailed Irwin with a vertical suplex. Buff then nailed Irwin with another vertical suplex. Irwin in a bad way. Buff then picked Irwin up and went for another suplex but Irwin twice blocked the move and stunned Buff with a DDT out of nowhere. Both men down. Both men made it to their feet and Irwin was against the ropes. Buff came in and attempted to nail Irwin with a double sledge but Irwin caught Buff with a series of rapid-fire kicks to the gut that doubled over Buff. Irwin then caught Buff in a sunset flip for the pin. 1...2...2-1/2... Buff kicked out. Buff and Irwin got up and Buff went to clothesline Irwin but Irwin ducked and caught Buff with an inverted atomic drop that sent Buff crashing to the mat. Irwin grabbed Buff's legs and flipped over on top of Buff for the pin. 1...2... Buff kicked out. Both men to their feet. Irwin went to kick Buff but Buff grabbed Irwin's leg, spun Irwin around and blasted Irwin with a brutal clothesline. Irwin crashed to the mat. Buff pointed at his ladies and they were quite pleased. Buff pulled Irwin up and hoisted Irwin onto his shoulder. Buff backed into the corner and looked to nail Irwin with a running powerslam, but Irwin escaped Buff's grasp, dropped down behind Buff and shoved Buff hard and crashing front-first into the buckles. Irwin waited for Buff to extricate himself from the buckles. Buff peeled himself off the buckles, turned around and walked out of the corner and Irwin nailed Buff with a bicycle kick to the face that sent Buff crashing to the mat. Crowd rose to its feet. Irwin covered Buff. 1...2... Buff got his foot on the bottom rope. Ref patted Irwin's back. Irwin got up and was jumping up and down in the ring facing away from Buff thinking he'd won the match. Ref went over to inform Irwin that he had not won. Buff made it to his feet. Irwin turned around and Buff nailed Irwin with a running forearm smash to the head. Irwin went down. Buff went over and mounted the middle buckle and waited for Irwin to get to his feet. Irwin got up and Buff nailed him with the Buff Blockbuster (diving neckbreaker). Buff covered Irwin without hooking the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Buff made it to his feet and had his hand raised in victory and then left the ring and met his ladies at ringside and made their way back up the aisle as Irwin slowly recovered in the ring.

WINNER: Bagwell - Pinfall - Buff Blockbuster - 6:49)

(Announcers discussed the exciting battle between Irwin and Bagwell. Said a special interview with Tommy Rich was coming up.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Ric Flair.

SH: "Hi everybody. I'm Scott Hudson. What an eventful night we've already had here on 'Mayhem'. And it's gonna get a whole lot more eventful when our TV main event rolls around, pitting Ric Flair against Bob Orton with Larry Zbysko barred from the building. And my guest is in that main event. Please welcome at this time, Ric Flair!"

Flair walked into the interview area in his ring attire.

SH: "Ric, this situation with you and Dynamite on one side and Orton and Zbysko on the other has escalated so much that Zbysko isn't allowed in the building. Do you think that there will finally be a clear-cut winner between you and Orton tonight?"

RF: "Scott Hudson! Brother! Larry Zbysko would have to be Criss Angel to somehow get into the Stroh Center this evening! There is not only a large security presence inside the building! But there's also heavy security outside! Tonight, finally, it's gonna be Flair vs. Orton and it will be one-on-one! There will be no Zbysko interference in the match this time! If Bob Orton's gonna beat the 'Nature Boy' tonight, he's gonna have to do it all on his own!"

SH: "The WCW Executive Committee has done an investigation into the attack on Dynamite Kid in the dressing room two weeks ago and is going to release their findings later on in the program. Dynamite has stood firmly by your side throughout this whole ordeal with Zbysko and Orton. Can you tell us how he is doing right now?"

RF: "Dynamite's left knee is getting better every single day! And Larry Zbysko, you think you've got problems with me! Ha! Just wait until Dynamite comes back and gets his hands on you! Whoo!"

SH: "Last week, you and Dynamite interfered in the tag match that Zbysko and Orton were teaming up in. You and Dynamite each had weapons and you spoke about fighting those guys with weapons. Was that just something said in the heat of anger..."

RF: "Look, Hudson! Those two SOB's have cost us wins and they've attacked us with weapons! Last week, me and Kid decided that turnabout was fair play! We cost them a chance to win their match! And we gave them a little taste of their own medicine in the use of weapons department! If they want to fight us using weapons, Kid and Flair are more than willing to engage them in that battle! But tonight, it's all about beating Bob Orton! And when, not if, I wrap Orton in the figure 4, I'm gonna make him suffer like he's never suffered before in this business! Whoo!"

Flair walked out of the interview area.

SH: "A very confident Ric Flair heading into his match tonight! Gonna be a hell of a main event! Tony and Mark, back to you!")

(Announcers hyped Flair vs. Orton with Zbysko barred from the building coming up later. They then intro'd the video of the interview recently done with Tommy Rich.)

(Video: Video opened with footage of the end of the No DQ/No Count Out match between Tommy Rich and Nord The Barbabrian where Nord bashed Rich in the head with the chain in the aisle at the end of the match and Rich stumbling back and collapsing on the floor in a bloody heap at ringside.

Shot of Hudson sitting on a couch with Rich. Both were in street clothes.

SH: "This is Scott Hudson on location in Hendersonville, TN, at the home of 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich. Tommy, thank you for taking the time to do this interview."

TR: "Glad to talk to you and the great wrestling fans watching this."

SH: "First question. How are you doing at this time?"

TR: "I'm doing a lot better, man. I still haven't been cleared to wrestle yet. But each passing day brings us that much closer to me getting that clearance and getting back to doing what I love."

SH: "You seem extremely confident that you're coming back. Have the doctors said anything to you about resuming your ring career in the future?"

TR: "Quite frankly, no. But I am determined to step back into the squared circle as an active competitor. I'm feeling better all the time. But a concussion is something you don't fool with. You know, in the past, concussions weren't treated as that big of a deal. I remember watching NFL games growing up and if a guy was hurt on the field and needed to be checked for a concussion, they just brought him over to the sideline and the trainer would hold up some fingers and ask the injured player how many fingers he was holding up. If the player got the number right and then was able to follow the trainer's fingers with his eyes as he moved them around, the guy was usually put back in the game. Knowing what we know now, it's better for the performer in any sport who has or appears to have a concussion to be be more thoroughly diagnosed and that takes time. You should never rush back from a concussion. I'm dying to wrestle again. But I know it's gonna take time and I believe it will happen."

SH: "Getting hit in the head with a steel chair is bad enough. But what was it like getting hit with Nord's chain?"

TR: "Steel chairs hurt like hell and they can cause some damage. But there is a little give to a folded up chair and you can soften the blow some by getting your hands up just before the hit. There is no give in that big, thick chain that Nord carries around. I got drilled right between the eyes with that thing and it was the most painful thing that I can recall feeling in my whole life."

SH: "We heard that you didn't remember the match at all."

TR: "That's right. That chain shot did a number on me. I had to go back and watch the match on video because I had no recollection of it except for the pain from the chain. For a while, I had trouble remembering other things like my own name and where I lived. But the cobwebs have cleared in the month since then. Like I said, I know I'm getting better and it's just a matter of when and not if I will return as far as I'm concerned."

SH: "Nord has made it quite clear that he thinks he's ended your career. You've stated before that if you do come back, you want your first match to be with Nord. Do you still feel that way?"

TR: "Yes. Nothing has changed. I want another match with Nord The Barbarian. I don't care what kind of a match it is. I just want to face him again. I know that I can beat him. I pushed him to the limit in our previous two matches. And I can, check that, I will do it again."

SH: "Tommy, thank you very much for doing this interview. I think I can speak for all the fans out there when I say that I do hope you're right and you are coming back. Wrestling just isn't the same without you."

TR: "Appreciate the kind words, Scott. And those fans are a big reason I want to come back. I don't want to let them down."

SH: "This has been Scott Hudson on special assignment for World Class Wrestling."

Picture faded to black.)

(Announcers discussed the Rich interview and said they hoped Rich would be able to come back from his concussion. Hyped still to come: Zbysko is barred from the building: Flair vs. Orton. Said the results of WCW's investigation into the mysterious assault on Dynamite Kid was coming up next!)

(Commercials)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson was standing with WCW executive Jim Herd.

CJ: "With me at this time from the World Class Executive Committee is Jim Herd. Jim, you have some news for us regarding WCW's investigation into the matter of who attacked Dynamite Kid a couple of weeks ago before the cage match between Ric Flair and Bob Orton where Dynamite was supposed to be locked in a cage with Larry Zbysko that was suspended above the ring. What are the findings? Did Zbysko do it?"

JH: "Craig, let me state before we go any further that this investigation was very thorough. In America, it's innocent until proven guilty. As you will see on this video, we now know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, who attacked the Dynamite Kid. Take a look at this video."

Video aired on the JumboTron from a backstage surveillance camera of a man walking out of the locker room Dynamite was in. You could only see the man's back. But it was clear that he was wearing a black and yellow windbreaker and carrying what looked to be a metal pipe.

JH: "You can see from the footage that the perpetrator of the attack on Dynamite was indeed Larry Zbysko. He's clearly wearing the exact same Pittsburgh Pirates windbreaker that Zbysko wore out to the cage at ringside. The hairstyle is also unmistakably Zbysko's as well. He appears to be holding a metal pipe of some sort, which would be similar to the mark found on Dynamite's left knee area."

CJ: "Now that you know Zbysko is the guilty party what penalties will there be for him?"

JH: "We on the WCW Executive Committee had unanimously voted to fire Zbysko. I contacted both Flair and Dynamite this morning and told them our findings and what we intended to do. Both men argued against firing Zbysko. They said they had unfinished business with him. They didn't even want us to suspend him. After talking it over with the members of the committee, we decided to reverse our decision. Instead, we will be fining Larry Zbysko $25,000 dollars."

CJ: "That's a pretty heavy fine. Where do you go from here with the matter."

JH: "We'll just have to keep an eye on Zbysko's actions and play it by ear."

CJ: "There you have it, fans. Larry Zbysko was the man who attacked Dynamite two weeks ago. He will take a serious hit in the wallet for what he did. But we can only wait and see if that's enough to deter Zbysko from further bad behavior of this nature. Back to Tony and Mark.")

(Announcers discussed the discovery that Zbysko did attack Dynamite and the fine. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson was standing in the interview area with Bob Orton. Orton was in his ring attire.

SH: "Earlier tonight, I interviewed Ric Flair. And now with me is the other half of our main event, 'Cowboy' Bob Orton. Bob, we just heard from Jim Herd that the surveillance video proved Larry Zbysko was the man who attacked Dynamite in the locker room a couple of weeks ago. What are your thoughts on this?"

BO: "What I think is this. The bigwigs have had it in for Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton since the day we arrived here. Yet they drool in pathetic admiration over Ric Flair and his buddies. We could look at somebody cross-eyed and get in trouble for it. Flair could show up at the promotion's offices and hit every office worker and executive over the head with a chair and they'd thank him for it. Hell, they'd also probably give him a big fat raise. I have no doubt that Jim Herd and the others on the executive committee are conspiring against me and Larry. Maybe they should change their name from the World Class Executive Committee to the Ric Flair Groveling Committee. We have to watch our backs and be on our toes at all times here. Larry and myself are viewed by the higher-ups like we're some sort of criminals while Flair and friends are coddled by the regime to the nth degree.

"As for the video we just saw, for all I know it could have been edited in some fashion. They company elites could have dressed somebody up to look like Larry and make it appear he did the attack. If you'll notice, the actual attack on Dynamite was not shown nor was the face of the supposed perpetrator. Could Dynamite have intentionally injured himself and looked to pin the blame on Larry?"

SH: "Intentionally injured himself?! Are you kidding?!"

BO: "I'm not kidding at all. I rule nothing out at this time. Let me add this. Even if Larry Zbysko did attack Dynamite with a steel pipe two weeks ago, people need to ask themselves why would he do it? We're on our own against the corporate elites at the top of this company. The odds are so stacked against us. Zbysko and me do what we have to do to survive here. Unlike Ric Flair, we don't have the powerful backing us and letting us get away with murder like he can.

"As for the match tonight, Larry's been barred from the building. It's just gonna be Flair vs. Orton...unless Dynamite's allowed to run free at ringside. But if that happens then the bigshots will say it's fair play. Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton work together...it's cheating. Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid work together...it's A-OK. I beat Flair two weeks ago..."

SH: "With the aid of a foreign object handed to you by Zbysko."

BO: "Prove it."

SH: "We saw the picture last week of Zbysko slipping you something through the cage mesh!"

BO (annoyed): "Look, man. I don't have time for this right now. I'm going out there and I have every intention of taking down World Class Wrestling's 'Chosen One' again. And it will all be on the level. Then what are all of you gonna say?"

Orton walked out of the interview area as Hudson looked on.)

(Announcers hyped Flair vs. Orton was next!)

Match 2 (Larry Zbysko is barred from the building)

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair vs. 'Cowboy' Bob Orton

(Before the ring intro's, eight security officers in two columns of four came walking down the aisle to the ring. They had on black security uniforms, badges and black boots. Each man was wearing a riot helmet with a tinted visor so you couldn't see their faces. Each man also was carrying a night stick.

The men took their positions around the ring, two on each side.

Madden: "If Larry Zbysko has any plans to sneak in here tonight, good luck getting past the security around the ring. He'd have to be a genius to figure out how to do it."

Announcers told viewers they would stay with the match to its conclusion.

'Desperado' by Alice Cooper played and out came Bob Orton to strong boos. Orton was in his black vest, blue tights, black cowboy hat and black boots with white horseshoes on the outside of each boot. Orton made it to ringside and looked around at the heavy security presence and then entered the ring. He was all business.

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' played and out came Ric Flair to a tremendous ovation. Flair came to the ring in his purple tights and white boots with 'RF' in purple lettering on the outside of each boot.

Schiavone: "Flair is not wearing his trademark robe tonight! He's tossed the pre-match showmanship for this one! He's focused only on Bob Orton!"

Ref called for the bell.

The crowd was buzzing as the two men came out and circled one another. They locked up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Flair drove Orton into the corner. The ref ordered a break. Orton held his hands up as Flair backed up. The two men started circling each other once again and before they could lock up, Orton broke out into the Flair strut and yelled 'Whoo!'. Orton turned around and Flair fired away on Orton with a series of stiff chest chops that staggered Orton. Flair whipped Orton into the ropes and caught Orton coming off with a high back drop. Orton crashed to the mat and rolled out of the ring and dropped to the floor. Fans popped as Flair then did the strut and shouted 'Whoo!'. Flair then ran back and forth in the ring hitting the ropes as Orton stood on the floor. Flair gestured for Orton to get back into the ring. Security around the ring was facing the crowd to make sure Zbysko didn't try and sneak in. Orton made his way onto the apron and Flair came over to Orton but Orton dropped back down to the floor and started walking around as Flair looked on from the ring. Orton got back up on the apron and feigned like he was climbing back into the ring as Flair came over. Orton leaned through the top and middle rope and nailed Flair with a with a shoulder block. Orton, still on the apron, grabbed Flair and attempted to suplex Flair from the ring to the floor but Flair twice blocked the move and suplexed Orton back into the ring. Flair dropped an elbow smash across Orton's chest and then locked Orton in a side headlock on the mat. Flair worked over the hold as both he and Orton made it to their feet. Orton tried to escape the hold but couldn't. Orton finally was able to shove Flair off and Flair crashed front-first into the buckles. Orton followed Flair in and nailed Flair with a couple of punches. Orton then mounted the middle buckle over Flair and popped Flair in the head with more punches. Flair then grabbed Orton and stunned him with an inverted atomic drop. Orton crashed to the mat. Flair was still a little dazed from the punches and moved slowly as he went to try and lock on the figure 4 but Orton was able to scoot towards the ropes and get his hand on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. Orton got to his feet. Flair moved in and nailed Orton with a chop but Orton stunned Flair with a quick poke to the eye.

Orton then nailed Flair with a trio of head shots and then threw Flair through the top and middle rope down to the floor. Flair down. Orton followed Flair to the floor. Orton pulled Flair up, grabbed Flair around the waist and rammed Flair back-first into the ringside barricade a couple of times. Flair crumpled and was hurting. Ref counting. Orton put the boots to the downed Flair. Orton then grabbed Flair and nailed Flair with a running bulldog on the floor. Orton then rolled into the ring to break the ref's 20-count. Orton then stood on the apron and waited for Flair to get to his feet. Flair was facing away from Orton as he got up and Orton came off the apron and blasted Flair with a double sledge to the back that sent Flair crashing head-first into the ringside barricade. Orton briefly played to the fans at ringside and was roundly booed. Ref counting. Orton reached down and started to pull Flair up by the hair and Flair stunned Orton with a series of gut shots. Flair then got to his feet and whipped Orton shoulder-first into the post. Flair rolled in one side of the ring and out the other to break the ref's count and then stood on the apron as Orton shook out the effects of the shoulder slam into the post. Orton turned around and Flair came off the apron and nailed Orton with a fist to the head. Flair then laid into Orton with more chops and then Flair suplexed Orton on the floor. Ref counting. Flair snapped Orton up and rammed Orton back-first into the ring apron and then threw Orton back into the ring. Orton was on his knees and was begging off as Flair told Orton to get up. Orton got up and Flair jumped on Orton and drove Orton into the corner and started pounding away on Orton with punches to the head and body. Flair then whipped Orton into the ropes and caught Bob coming off with a flying forearm shiver to the side of the head. Orton crashed to the mat. Flair grabbed Orton's left leg and started yanking on it and then locked Orton into the figure 4 as the fans popped. Orton trying to not submit. Orton was able to scoot close enough to the ropes to get his hands on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. Orton got to his feet and moved into the corner. Flair moved in with more chest chops. Orton managed to wrap his arm around the top rope and force a break. Flair backed off but Orton wouldn't come out of the corner. Flair moved in and Orton draped his arm over the top rope again. Ref ordered Flair to back off but Flair didn't listen and grabbed Orton and a struggle ensued. Ref got in between the two and was able separate them. Orton suddenly reached down and pulled Flair's legs out from under him and Flair crashed to the mat. Orton went for the pin and placed his feet on the middle rope. 1...2... Flair got a shoulder up and Orton removed his feet from the rope just as the ref looked up. Orton tried to pin Flair again in the same position with his feet on the middle rope. 1...2... Flair again got a shoulder up and Orton again removed his feet from the rope just before the ref looked up. Orton tried to pin Flair the same way one more time with his feet on the middle rope. 1...2... Ref caught Orton with his feet on the ropes. Ref gestured for Orton to take his feet off the rope. Orton did and Flair immediately reversed and rolled up Orton in a small package. 1...2...2-1/2... Orton kicked out.

Both men to their feet. Flair kicked Orton in the left leg and Orton crashed back to the mat. Flair dragged Orton over and placed Orton's left leg on the bottom rope and repeatedly dropped his ass into Orton's knee area. Flair then dragged Orton to the middle of the ring and started to apply the figure 4 but Orton kicked Flair off. Flair went down and quickly got back up and went to grab Orton's legs but Orton, from his back kicked Flair in the gut with both feet. Flair crashed down to the mat. Orton made it to his feet and limped over and stomped on Flair. Orton then grabbed Flair by the legs and dragged Flair away from the ropes and catapaulted Flair into the corner. Flair slammed front-first into the buckles. Flair turned around and walked into a kick to the gut from Orton and was doubled over. Orton then hoisted Flair up and nailed Flair with a piledriver. Both men down. Orton's left leg hurting. Ringside security still facing the crowd at ringside. Orton got up and Flair was on his knees. Orton raked his boot laces across Flair's face. Orton pulled Flair up, whipped Flair into the ropes and caught Flair coming off with a clothesline. Orton then picked Flair up and bodyslammed Flair into position for a turnbuckle move. Orton slowly mounted the middle buckle facing the crowd. Orton nailed Flair with a slingshot splash and went for the pin. 1...2...2-1/2... Flair kicked out. Flair sat up and was sitting next to the buckles when Orton went over and started choking Flair. Orton broke the illegal move at the count of 4. Orton then nailed Flair with some stomps to the chest area. Orton pulled Flair up in the corner and started nailing Flair with chest chops. Flair suddenly fired back with chops of his own that had Orton backing up. The two then engaged in a chop exchange and Flair got the upper hand. Flair channeled his inner heel and raked Orton's eyes across the top rope and then popped Orton with a gutwrench suplex. Flair then popped Orton with a knee drop to the head. Orton rolled over and got to his feet facing away from Flair and Flair grabbed Orton from behind, ran Orton into the ropes and rolled up Orton from behind and grabbed a handful of tights. 1...2...2-1/2... Orton kicked Flair off. Both men got to their feet and Orton was by the ropes. Flair moved in and Orton caught Flair with a couple of knees to the gut and then blasted Flair with an inverted facelock neckbreaker. Orton for the cover. 1...2... Flair kicked out. Flair got to his feet facing away from Orton and Orton locked Flair in the sleeper. Flair struggled in the hold and started to weaken. Flair was able to maneuver around and back Orton into the corner, slamming Orton's back into the buckles. Orton's grip loosened. Flair repeated the move and broke free from Orton's grip. Flair popped Orton with some punches and went to whip Orton into the opposite buckles but Orton reversed and sent Flair crashing into them.

Orton charged at Flair and nailed him with a flying left knee to the chest. Orton whipped Flair into opposite buckles. Orton again ran across the ring and looked to pop Flair with another flying left knee to the chest but Flair moved and Orton slammed left knee first into the top buckle. Orton turned around and walked right into Flair's arms and Flair popped Orton with a shin breaker. Orton crashed to the mat while Flair held on to his left leg.

Flair: "Now, we go to school! Whoo!"

Just as Flair wrapped up Orton in the figure 4, a man suddenly emerged from under the ring.

Madden: "Look, Tony! Some nut just crawled out from under the ring!"

The man was wearing a wrestling mask and street clothes. Ringside security was still facing the crowd to make sure Zbysko didn't try and sneak in.

Orton was writhing in pain in the submission hold as the masked man climbed up on the apron and had knux on his right hand. One of the security officers saw the masked man and charged over and slammed his night stick into the masked man's left knee area. The masked man crumpled and fell off the apron to the floor and was grabbing his left knee. The security officer ripped off his riot helmet and revealed his identity.

Schiavone: "It's the Dynamite Kid! The Kid was working with the security team tonight!"

In the ring, Orton struggled not to submit. Orton started scooting towards the ropes and almost got his hand on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold but Flair powered up at the last minute and scooted the pair back into the middle of the ring. With no outside help on the way, Orton tapped out a few seconds later as the crowd erupted in cheers. Ref called for the bell. Dynamite threw the still masked man into the ring. He no longer was wearing the knux. Masked man was down on the mat in the corner and still holding his left knee. Flair refused to free Orton from the figure 4 after the match. Orton writhing in pain. Ref called for the bell again in an effort to get Flair to break the hold but to no avail.

Schiavone: "If Flair doesn't release Bob Orton from the hold soon then the ref will reverse the decision!"

Flair contuned to ratchet up on the hold when Dynamite Kid came over and tapped Flair on the shoulder and started talking to Flair. Flair wasn't listening and kept the hold locked on.

Madden: "Flair's making Orton suffer in the figure 4 just like he said he would."

Ref called for the bell once more and Kid pleaded with Flair to let Orton go. Orton begging for mercy and pounding on the mat. Flair kept the pressure on for several more seconds before finally releasing Orton from the hold. Orton laid out and hurting. Flair got up and the ref raised his hamd in victory to the delight of the crowd. The masked man had crawled out of the ring and dropped to the floor and was looking to sneak off by crawling away, but Kid bolted the ring and grabbed him and threw him into the ring. The man, with the aid of the ropes, got to his feet and tried to hobble out of the ring but Flair spun the man around and nailed him with a trio of chest cops and then held him from behind as Dynamite got back in the ring. Kid went over and grabbed the mask and ripped it off revealing the masked man to be...Larry Zbysko. Flair released Zbysko and Zbysko took a couple of steps and crumpled back down to the mat and Zbysko and Orton were both laying in the ring and hurting as Flair and Kid left the ring victoriously and headed back up the aisle as the program went off the air.

Match 1

Tito Santana vs. Pete Doherty

(Doherty was already in the ring and announced.

Video aired from two weeks ago of Don Muraco costing Santana his match with Nord by squirting hot sauce in his eyes and the post-match brawl backstage between Muraco and Santana where the two wound up fighting outside and had to be pulled apart.

Mariachi music filled the arena and Santana came out to a good ovation. Santana was wearing his red and black poncho; red tights with white sombrero on the back; and red boots with small Mexican flags on the outside of each boot. Santana slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Santana dominated the match early until Don Muraco came out. Muraco made his way to ringside and was wearing a loud yellow and orange shirt with ruffles on the front and puffy sleeves. He was shaking a pair of maracas. He also had a stupid smile on his face like he was doing a cruise ship act. Muraco started walking around the ring and distracted Santana. As Santana watched Muraco, Doherty was able to recover from Tito's offensive and Pearl Harbor Tito and almost score the victory. Muraco made one lap around the ring shaking his maracas and then headed back up the aisle to the back. Santana was able to regain the momentum and finish off Doherty with his double flying forearm smash finisher to score the pinfall win.

WINNER: Santana - Pinfall - Double Flying Forearm Smash - 4:39)

(In-ring Interview: Craig Johnson interviewed Tito.

CJ: "Tito Santana. We almost witnessed Pete Doherty score a major upset win thanks to Don Muraco coming out here and distracting you. But, you were able to come back, take control of the match and pull out the victory. I have to ask, where is this whole thing going with Don Muraco?"

TS: "Craig, I don't need to say a lot of words after what happened two weeks ago when Muraco squirted that hot sauce into my eyes. That stuff burned so badly that it bothered my eyes for a couple of days after it happened. Muraco cost me a chance at scoring a big win over Nord The Barbarian. Nord is one of the toughest characters here in WCW. But I don't care about Nord or any other wrestler right now. The only one I've got my eye on is you, Muraco.

"Muraco, I'm tired of your crap. Week in an week out, you never fail to come out here and go out of your way to offend people or really piss them off. Sometimes both. I'm not putting up with it anymore. I showed when I attacked you backstage two weeks ago that I'm not letting you slide, man. You come out here tonight and mock my Mexican heritage again. I think I've shown that my tolerance is quite low for guys like you. I want a match with Don Muraco and I want it soon! Ariba!"

Fans cheered as Santana left the ring and slapped hands with fans on the way back up the aisle.

CJ: "Fans! You just can't help but think that it's inevitable! Tito Santana and Don Muraco will collide in the ring in the very near future!")

(Announcers discussed the escalating situation between Santana and Muraco. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Nord The Barbarian.

SH: "Thank you, Tony and Mark. It's shaping up to be another exciting, unpredictable night here on 'Mayhem'."

Nord stomped into the interview area and was holding his big chain high in the air. He was in his ring attire.

SH: "Nord The..."

Nord: "Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!"

SH: "Nord, if I may! Tonight you're facing Steve O in what promises to be an exciting match!"

Nord: "Scott Hudson! What was Steve O thinking when he signed on the dotted line to wrestle me?! Was he thinking like Tommy Rich! The man whose career I ended over a month ago?!"

SH: "Tommy Rich is healing. Don't count out 'Wildfire' yet. And Steve O's a competitor and he obviously thinks he has a chance to win."

Nord: "Chance to win?! Are you kidding me?! Steve O hasn't won a match since he arrived in WCW, right?!"

SH: "That's right. But he's already given several of WCW's top stars a run for their money and come close to scoring some major victories."

Nord: "Isn't that nice! He's almost beaten some of the best wrestlers here! Almost! But he's lost in the end!"

SH: "While that is true, haven't you seen him in action? He's pushed the likes of Kamala, Buff Bagwell and Don Muraco to the limit."

Nord: "So what?! Steve O has a lot of fire in his belly! He has some really cool moves! He gives his opponents a battle! But that zero he still has in the win column tells me all I need to know about Steve O! O can't finish! You know why?! It's because he doesn't have that killer instinct that it takes to be a winner in professional wrestling! Being a berzerker, I was born with the killer instinct! When I have my opponent teetering on the edge of defeat I move in for the kill and finish him off! Steve O has never shown he can do that! He's not gonna start doing it later tonight! And he may wind up being forced into early retirement just like Tommy Rich! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!"

Hudson looked on as Nord stomped out of the interview area.)

(Commercials)

(Announcers said that Tommy Rich has been showing significant improvement in his recovery from his concussion but added that doctors have not determined whether or not he will be able to return to wrestling.)

(Announcers intro'd another video of Rick Martel.

Video again showed Martel in action and training and then the video showed Martel, in street clothes and holding a mic and standing inside the Bell Centre in Montreal (home of the Canadiens).

RM: "Greetings fans, from my native Montreal, Canada. This is Rick Martel. I am excited to be coming to World Class Wrestling and matching up against some of the best wrestlers our great sport has to offer. I look forward to the challenge World Class poses for me and also meeting you great fans. I'll see you next week."

Video froze and the words 'Rick Martel: Debuting next week in WCW!' appeared on the screen before fading to black.)

Match 2

Don Muraco vs. Eddy Mansfield

(Mansfield was already in the ring and announced.

Theme from the original 'Hawaii Five-O' played and Muraco came to the ring in his trademark purple tights and black boots but minus the shirt he was wearing earlier. He was also once again shaking his maracas as he made his way down the aisle. Muraco was booed.

Muraco got into the ring and shook his maracas and danced in a ridiculous manner. He then placed the maracas under the bottom turnbuckle in the corner.

Muraco dominated the match and at times toyed with Mansfield. At one point after Muraco dropped Mansfield with a clothesline, Muraco went over and grabbed the maracas as Mansfield sat up in the ring. Muraco went over and played the maracas on top of Mansfield's head with this big fake smile plastered on his face. Muraco then tossed the maracas aside and worked over Mansfield a little more before finishing Mansfield off with the White Trash Compactor (inverted piledriver) to score the pinfall victory.

After Muraco got his hand raised in victory, Muraco left the ring and dropped to the floor and went over and grabbed the house mic from Craig Johnson and then reached under the ring and brandished a folded up steel chair. Muraco slid the chair in the ring. Muraco got back into the ring. Ref was checking on the still down Mansfield and the ref turned and ordered Muraco to back off. Muraco responded by acting like he was going to punch the ref and the ref backed off. Ref barked at Muraco as Muraco put the boots to Mansfield. Muraco ordered the intimidated ref out of the ring and the ref bailed. Muraco then spoke on the house mic.

DM: "I dedicate this next piledriver to Tito Santana and all his fans who work for the finest Mexican restaurant in the world...Taco Bell!"

Muraco positioned the chair in the ring and grabbed Mansfield. As Muraco hoisted Mansfield up for another inverted piledriver, the crowd popped as Santana charged down the aisle and hit the ring. Muraco saw Santana and released Mansfield who fell to the mat. Tito laid into Muraco with a series of head shots that sent Muraco staggering back towards the ropes. Tito then nailed Muraco with a dropkick that sent Muraco tumbling through the top and middle rope and falling to the floor. Tito followed Muraco out of the ring as Muraco got to his feet and nailed Muraco with some more punches and then slammed Muraco's head into the top of the ringside barricade. Muraco turned around and Tito nailed Muraco with a couple of more head shots before Muraco caught Tito with a rake to the eyes. Muraco moved in and started punching Tito and then went to whip Tito into the ringside barricade but Tito reversed and sent Muraco crashing into the barricade. Tito charged at Muraco and Muraco caught Tito with a boot to the face. Tito staggered back as Muraco moved in and went to nail Tito with a wild punch but Tito ducked the punch and Muraco spun himself around Tito nailed Muraco with an atomic drop. Muraco staggered towards the aisle holding his goods. Tito grabbed Muraco and slammed him head-first into the barricade. Muraco staggered up the aisle and Tito followed. Muraco caught Tito with a boot to the gut and then slammed Tito's head into the barricade. Tito turned and Muraco started choking him. Tito found the strength to return the favor and both men were strangling each other as members of WCW security came out and were able to separate the warring pair. Both men were grabbing at their own necks and were staring daggers towards each other when Muraco mouthed off and Tito broke away from security and jumped on Muraco and started pounding away on the loudmouth Hawaiian. Security was able to wrest Tito off of Muraco and spirit him away back up the ramp and to the backstage area as an angry Muraco, grabbing at his head, was held at bay in the aisle by security.

WINNER: Muraco - Pinfall - White Trash Compactor - 4:14)

(Announcers discussed the wild brawl between Muraco and Santana and said things appeared to be well past the boiling point between these two ring warriors. Hyped still to come: Flair & Kid make an appearance; a look back at Flair's win over Orton last week; Nord The Barbarian vs. Steve O. Said the announcement of the 10 participants in next week's Battle Royal to decide the first-ever Tru TV Champion was next!)

(Commercials)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Steve O.

SH: "Steve O. In just a few minutes you're facing an extremely tough opponent in Nord The Barbarian. You have yet to win a match here in World Class, but you've given several top stars here a battle and have come oh-so-close to winning those matches. Do you think tonight's the night that you finally get that first win in WCW?"

O: "I certainly can't guarantee anything. But, like you said, I've been matching up well with the top wrestlers here. It's frustrating to be on the verge victory against these guys and then have that win slip through your fingers. I know...I know with every fiber of my being that I'm right on the cusp of a breakthrough. That big win is coming. It has to. There's no way I'm gonna keep losing. And those fans out there who have supported me since my first match, they know that big win is coming, too. The only question is: will it be tonight that it finally happens?"

SH: "Thank you for your time, Steve."

O nodded as the segment ended.)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson was standing by with WCW Championship Committee member Tony Garea. Garea was holding the Tru TV Championship belt.

CJ: "Ladies and Gentlemen. With me for the second week in a row is Tony Garea, a member of the World Class Wrestling Championship Committee. Tony, last week you announced that we would be having a big Battle Royal to decide not only the first-ever Tru TV Champion, but also the first-ever champion of any kind in World Class. Tonight, you are here to announce the participants in the historic match."

TG: "That's right, Craig. The anticipation is building towards next week when we will have the first championship match ever here on 'Mayhem'. Here are the wrestlers who will be participating in the Battle Royal:

'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell

'Long Rider' Bill Irwin

Don Muraco

Tito Santana

Nord The Barbarian

The Dynamite Kid

'Cowboy' Bob Orton

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair

'Living Legend' Larry Zbysko

and...are you ready for this?"

CJ: "Who is it, Tony?! Who is the last man in the Battle Royal?!"

TG: "The final man in the Battle Royal to decide the Tru Tv Champion is...Rick Martel!"

Fair amount of crowd cheers.

CJ: "So, Rick Martel is not only debuting next week. He's debuting in a championship match. Wow! Talk about hitting the ground running here in WCW! Looks like it's gonna be a great match!"

TG: "And may the best man win the Tru TV Championship!"

CJ: "You fans just heard it! Don't forget to tune in to 'Mayhem' next week to catch the Battle Royal to decide the first champion ever in World Class history!")

(Announcers discussed the participants in the Battle Royal and also talked a little about Martel being in the match on his first night with the company. Hyped still to come: Kid & Flair make an appearance and a look back at the match between Flair and Orton from last week. Then sent it back to the ring.)

Match 3

Nord The Barbarian vs. Steve O

('Hand Jive' by George Thorogood played and Steve O came to the ring to a modest ovation. O was wearing a blue ring jacket with 'Steve O' written in white cursive letters on the back, blue tights and white boots with blue trim.

'Deaf Forever' by Motorhead filled the arena and out came Nord. He stomped around on the stage and was holding up his big steel chain. Nord made his way to the ring to pretty strong boos. He was in his fur-lined vest, black tights with the word 'Berzerker' in white written in a lighting-like letter style on the back and fur-lined wrestling boots.

Nord stomped around the ring and waved his chain in the air and then went and glared at O before hanging his chain over the top ring bolt that connects the turnbuckle to the ringpost. Nord then removed his vest.

Ref called for the bell.

O charged at Nord and laid into Nord with a flurry of punches that drove Nord into the corner but Nord put an end to the assault with a headbutt. Nord then raised his arms in the air and slammed his huge forearms down on O's shoulders and drove O down to a knee. Nord then kicked O in the side of the face and O toppled over next to the ropes. Nord snapped O up, whipped O into the ropes and caught O coming off with a press slam. O hurting. Nord grabbed O and repeated the move. As O got up, Nord battered him with a vicious clothesline that drove O into the corner. Nord grabbed O out of the corner and stomped around in the ring while holding O in the horizontal position. Nord stopped mid-ring and laid out O with a front powerslam. Nord for the cover. 1...2... O kicked out. Nord snapped up O in a front facelock and proceeded to pummel O with a stiff series of forearm smashes to the back. O went limp but Nord would not let him go. Nord slammed O and then hit the ropes and came off with his flying leg drop finisher but O rolled out of the way and Nord crashed to the mat. O made it to his feet as Nord was getting up and O caught Nord with some head shots, a kick to the gut and then stunned Nord with a rolling neckbreaker. Nord down and O for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2... Nord kicked out. Crowd groaned. O grabbed Nord and slammed Nord's head repeatedly into the top buckle and then whipped Nord into the opposite buckles and followed Nord in with a high running dropkick. Nord convulsing into the corner. O then whipped Nord into the opposite buckles and followed Nord in and mounted the middle buckle and started popping Nord in the head with punches. Nord then grabbed O around the waist and looked to charge out of the corner and deliver an inverted atomic drop, but O grabbed the top rope with both hands and Nord ran out of the corner and O slipped from his grasp. Nord stopped dead in his tracks and was stunned that he wasn't holding O. O mounted the top buckle facing the crowd as Nord turned back towards O. Nord took a couple of steps towards the corner and O blasted Nord with a moonsault. O for the cover. 1...2...2-3/4... Nord kicked out.

Madden: "Will Steve O ever get the three count he so richly deserves! Jeez!"

Nord got up next to the ropes and O moved in and drove a series of rapid knees into Nord's gut. O whipped Nord into the ropes and looked to catch Nord coming off with a backdrop but Nord instead caught O with a huge forearm across the back of the neck. O went down and Nord waited for O to get to his feet and Nord went to kick O in the face but O moved and Nord crotched himself in the corner. As Nord extracted himself from the ropes, O moved behind Nord. Nord walked out of the corner and O popped him with the codebreaker. Crowd popped as Nord rolled out on the apron and dropped to his feet on the floor. O went over and reached through the top and middle rope and pulled Nord back up on the apron and in through the ropes. O nailed Nord with a couple of punches and then hit the ropes and came off looking to jump on the big man, but Nord caught O and in one fluid move blasted O with a spinebuster. Nord got up and waited for O to make it to his feet. O got up, turned around and was greeted with a boot to the face from Nord. O crashed to the mat. Nord hit the ropes and came off and nailed O with his flying leg drop finisher. Nord covered O and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Nord got to his feet and the ref raised his hand in victory and then Nord grabbed his chain and turned and left the ring and headed back up the aisle to boos as the ref checked on O.

WINNER: Nord - Pinfall - Flying Leg Drop - 6:19)

(Announcers talked about O turning in another strong performance but still coming up just short against another WCW star. Hyped coming up next: A look back at last week's Flair vs. Orton match; and Flair and Kid make an appearance.)

(Commercials)

(Announcers said that during the break they received major news. It has been signed: Tito Santana vs. Don Muraco for next week! Also hyped for next week: 10-Man Battle Royal with the winner becoming the first-ever Tru TV Champion; and the debut of Rick Martel in the Battle Royal.)

(Announcers then intro'd video from the end of last week's Flair-Orton match:

Orton charged at Flair and nailed him with a flying left knee to the chest. Orton whipped Flair into opposite buckles. Orton again ran across the ring and looked to pop Flair with another flying left knee to the chest but Flair moved and Orton slammed left knee first into the top buckle. Orton turned around and walked right into Flair's arms and Flair popped Orton with shin breaker.

Flair continued to ratchet up on the hold when Dynamite Kid came over and tapped Flair on the shoulder and started talking to Flair. Flair wasn't listening and kept the hold locked on.

Madden: "Flair's making Orton suffer in the figure 4 just like he said he would! But will his rage towards Orton cost him the hard-fought win?!"

Ref called for the bell once more and Kid pleaded with Flair to let Orton go. Orton begging for mercy and pounding on the mat. Flair kept the pressure on for several more seconds before finally releasing Orton from the hold. Orton laid out and hurting. Flair got up and the ref raised his hand in victory to the delight of the crowd.

WINNER: Flair- Submission - Figure 4 - 17:37)

(In-ring: 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' played and the fans started cheering and the cheers grew louder as Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid came out and made their way to the ring in street clothes. Both men slapped hands with fans on their way down the aisle and each had a mic. Both got in the ring and briefly soaked in the crowd cheers.

RF: "Last week, Bob Orton! Justice was finally served on you! And you can consider yourself extremely lucky, pal! If Kid doesn't convince me to release the figure 4 after I made you tap out, I would have broken your leg! Larry Zbysko, we may not like you! But we know that you're one hell of a cagey man! Even though you were supposed to be barred from the building, we knew that somehow, some way you might have found a way to sneak to try and disrupt the match! So, Kid and I had to come up with a plan! We didn't want anyone to know Dynamite was in the building! We racked our brains over what to do! And then it walked right past us! We saw the security team that was going to be circling the ring during the match and the light went on! We convinced one of the security team members to give up his spot at ringside and let Dynamite go in his place! He was the same size as Dynamite! It was as if it was meant to be! So, this man here had my back from the moment the match started! Any attempt by Zbysko to get involved would now be short-circuited by Dynamite Kid: Security Officer! Whoo! And you all know the end result! It was the result that should have happened for weeks but didn't thanks to Zbysko! Now...mission accomplished! Whoo!"

DK: "Larry Zbysko! I can't tell you how good it felt to finally get payback! I knew when I saw you climb up on the apron that I only had one good shot so I had to make it count! When I hit you in your knee with that night stick I knew it had to be a helluva shot! And it was! It wasn't a double or a triple! It was a home run! There was no doubt that it was you under that mask! You're a smart man, Zbysko! But you didn't plan on me being so close to you dressed as a member of the security team! You probably planned for every other scenario! But the one you didn't plan for was the one that cost you!"

Crowd started buzzing as two men in street clothes made their way through the crowd and climbed over the ringside barricade out of the view of Flair and Kid.

Madden: "It's Bob Orton and Larry Zbysko! What are they doing here?!"

RF: "That's right! Your game plan had a serious flaw and you two paid the price for it! Whoo!"

Zbysko and Orton climbed up on the apron as the fans pleaded for Flair and Kid to turn around.

RF: "Now, we're looking for..."

Zbysko and Orton climbed into the ring. Zbysko blasted Flair with a double sledge to the back and Orton clubbed Kid with a forearm smash to the back. Orton and Zbysko then started battering the stunned Flair and Kid with punches. Flair and Kid were staggered. Zbysko and Orton then whipped Flair and Kid at one another. The two collided violently and went down in the ring. Orton and Zbysko were still limping slightly, still feeling the effects of last week. Orton left the ring and dropped to the floor and reached under the ring apron and brandished a kendo stick and handed it up to Zbysko. Orton also pulled out a beer bottle. Orton got back into the ring. Flair and Kid slowly made their way to their feet. Kid got up and Zbysko smashed Kid over the head with the kendo stick and Kid crumpled back down to the mat. Flair got up and Orton smashed the beer bottle over his head. Flair now back down. Zbysko and Orton briefly stood over their downed prey as the fans booed loudly and some threw garbage at the ring. Zbysko went over and started blasting the now bloody Kid across the back with the kendo stick. Kid rolled over and was a bloody mess. Zbysko then held the stick like a baseball bat as Flair unsteadily made his way to his feet. When the bloodied Flair got to his feet, Zbysko slammed him with a shot to the gut that doubled Flair over. With Orton cheerleading, Zbysko clocked Flair across the back with the stick and Flair crashed back down to the mat. Zbysko slowly raised the stick over his head to bash Flair again, but the crowd popped as Irwin and Santana, each with chair in hand, hit the ring and Zbysko and Orton fled the scene to the floor. Orton and Zbysko looked up at Santana and Irwin as the pair dared Orton and Zbysko to get back in the ring. Zbysko and Orton had a brief discussion and then turned and headed up the aisle to boos as Tito and Irwin checked on the laid out Flair and Kid as the program went off the air.)

Are you ready for this right out of the gate?"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RM:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Craig, I was thrilled when I got the call from a World Class executive asking me to take part in the Battle Royal my first night in. And I would consider it an honor to be the initial holder of the Tru TV Championship."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Crowd booed as Kamala, Mgr. Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey and handler Kimchee made their way to the ring. Kamala was in his loin cloth print, had symbols painted on his body and face and was wearing his African tribal mask. Kimchee was in his safari gear, pith helmet and wearing a white mask with brown trim. He was also carrying a riding crop. Kaissey was in an expensive suit and the typical Arab male headwear.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Kamala (w/ Mgr. El-Kaissey & Handler Kimchee) vs. Rick Martel</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Kimchee removed Kamala's tribal mask and he and Kaissey had words with Kamala before leaving the ring. Kamala slapped his belly.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Ref called for the bell.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Kamala whipped Martel into the ropes and dropped Martel with a 2-hand throat thrust. Martel crashed to the mat. Kamala slapped his belly and looked over at Kimchee. Kimchee gestured for Kamala to continue the assault on Martel. Martel made it to his feet and was greeted with a couple of headbutts. Kamala whipped Martel into the ropes and caught Martel coming off in the military press position and dropped Martel throat-first across the top rope. Martel snapped back and crashed to the mat. Kamala looked out at Kimchee and Kimchee gestured for Kamala to pin Martel. Kamala did as instructed. 1...2... Martel kicked out. Kamala snapped Martel up and whipped Martel into the buckles. Martel was facing the ropes and the top of his head was sticking slightly through the top and middle rope. As the ref was checking to see if Kamala was going to submit, Kimchee snuck over and cracked Martel in the top of the head with his riding crop. Martel let go of the hold and dropped to a knee while holding his head. Ref looked over at Kimchee and El-Kaissey who were acting like innocent bystanders. Kamala and Martel got up and Martel was close to the corner. Kamala splashed Martel in the corner. Martel staggered out of the corner and crashed to the mat on his back. El-Kaissey yelled for Kamala to finish Martel off. Kamala hit the ropes and came off and went for the diving splash but Martel rolled out of the way and Kamala crashed to the mat. Kamala to his feet and Martel to all fours. Kamala hit Martel with a series of chops to the back of the neck. Kamala grabbed Martel and went to whip Martel into the ropes but Martel reversed and caught Kamala coming off with a high dropkick. Kamala went down. Kamala got up and moved in on Martel. Martel picked up Kamala and bodyslammed Kamala near the ropes. Martel went out on the apron and nailed Kamala with the swan dive (slingshot splash over the top rope into the ring). Martel for the cover. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans cheered.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Martel jumped to his feet and raised his fist victoriously in the air. Ref raised Martel's hand in victory and Martel left the ring and slapped hands with fans on the way back up the aisle.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Ric Flair, Dynamite Kid & Bill Irwin.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Hi everyone. Scott Hudson here. What we just witnessed between Kamala and Rick Martel goes to show the wild and unpredictable nature of 'Mayhem' and why you need to tune in every week because you never know what's going to happen.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

"Later tonight, history will be made as we crown the first champion ever in the history of World Class Wrestling as 10 men will fight it out in a Battle Royal with the prize being the Tru TV Championship.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

"With me right now are three men who will be in that match. They are Bill Irwin, Dynamite Kid and Ric Flair."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The three men come into the interview area. They were in their ring attire.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Ric Flair, the fans saw what happened to you and the Dynamite Kid last week. You guys were left laying in the ring after a brutal and bloody sneak attack at the hands of Bob Orton and Larry Zbysko. Going into this match, one has to assume that this is about more than winning the Tru TV Championship."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RF:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Scott Hudson, last week a message was sent loud and clear by Zbysko and Orton! And that message is that nothing's really been settled between us! Every strike of that kendo stick from Zbysko stung much deeper than just the physical pain! The same goes for having a beer bottle smashed over my head by Bob Orton! When I got backstage last week, I had to pick pieces of glass out of my bloody forehead! These guys can't let things go! And the only way this issue will be settled is when one side is beaten up so badly that they'll have no choice but to crawl away in humiliating defeat! And I'll be damned if that's going to be Dynamite and the 'Nature Boy' who are doing the crawling! And Bill Irwin here, along with Tito Santana, man, I can't thank these guys enough for coming to our aid last week! Things could have been a lot worse for us if they didn't hit the ring when they did! But it's a new week! And we're ready to rumble tonight! Everybody knows I love being a champion! I'd love to be the man who wins the Tru TV Championship! But there are so many variables at play here, and just seeing Orton and Zbysko in that ring, brother, I don't know how I'm gonna react!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>DK:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "First, I just want to thank Bill Irwin publicly for what he and Tito Santana did for us last week. As Ric said, it could have been much worse if you didn't come out in our defense."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Kid and Flair shook Irwin's hand.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BI:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "It was the right thing to do."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>DK:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Larry Zbysko, it takes a real brave man to attack another man from behind with a potentially deadly weapon like a kendo stick. And in case you're wondering, I felt every single blow from that stick. And they hurt like hell. But as you can see, I'm still here. Ric Flair is still here. And you and Orton know this...we're gunning for you boys. This situation has now risen to another level. And you two took it there. We will meet again. And we will show you guys what you showed us last week...no mercy. Winning that Tru TV Championship would mean a lot to me. I want that belt. But I also want Orton's and Zbysko's bloody hides! We're gonna finish this once and for all and the finish will be decisive!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Bill Irwin."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BI:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "I've seen a lot of brutal attacks in this sport. But that was easily one of the worst I have ever seen. And even though I'm not directly involved in their problems with Bob Orton and Larry Zbysko, if they ever need my help again, I'm there. I am 100% in the corner of the Dynamite Kid and Ric Flair! As for the Battle Royal TV Title match tonight, there's gonna be so much bad blood in that ring that anything can happen. Personal alliances often go out the window in a Battle Royal. It's every man for himself in the chase for the belt. I'm probably the biggest underdog in this match. But...I'm in the match. I'm one of just 10 men who has a chance to make history. And every underdog has his day and this might just be the Long Rider's."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>LZ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Main event?!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>JH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Oh! You didn't hear? Since you and Orton are keen on using weapons to attack people, you're facing Flair and Kid in a weapons match to be fought under Texas Tornado rules. Now, you guys might want to go to the back and finishing getting ready for the Battle Royal."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Herd left the ring. Zbysko and Orton seemed speechless.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>CJ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton, you guys seem..."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>LZ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "This is just more proof of the conspiracy against me and Bob by those who run this promotion! They just decide to drop this bomb on us that we're having a weapons match with Ric Flair and Dynamite next week! What the hell..."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BO:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Wait, Larry, wait. We need to look at the big picture here, man. Yes, the guys who have the big offices at the top of the tall building that houses the World Class offices may think they're really sticking one to us. But think about this. A weapons match with Texas Tornado rules, we can absolutely destroy the 'Chosen Ones' here in World Class. We can drive them out of WCW with the most brutal, violent beating ever witnessed in the history of pro wrestling! Larry, this is a match that was made for guys like you and me. We can not only beat these guys; we can take 'em out for good!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

LZ started to laugh.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>LZ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "You know, Bob, you're right! This is our kind of match! And...and we can end the careers of Flair and Kid with one swift, sound trashing! To Jim Herd and the other WCW big-shots, guess what?! Looks like your little plan may have just backfired! Ric Flair and the Dynamite Kid are in for the humiliation of a lifetime!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Orton and Zbysko turned and left the ring.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>CJ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Well, you heard the news. Weapons match to be fought under Texas Tornado rules between Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid against Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton next week right here on 'Mayhem'.")</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Announcers discussed the making of the main event for next week. Also said that next week, they would have a special message form Tommy Rich. Said the Battle Royal was coming up!)</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Nord The Barbarian and 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "With me at this time are two more participants in the 10-Man Battle Royal to decide who will be the first Tru TV Champion in history, Nord The Barbarian and 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Both men were in their ring attire and Bagwell had no ladies with him but Nord had his chain.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Nord, we just got word that next week on the program we are gonna hear a speacial message from Tommy Rich. What are your thoughts on that?"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>Nord:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Awwwwww! It's about time that Tommy Rich does the right thing and announces his retirement from professional wrestling! It's good to see he's come to his senses and will bow out gracefully next week!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Wait a minute. We actually don't know what Tommy's message will be. Maybe he's not retiring."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>Nord:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Don't kid yourself, Hudson! There's nothing else it could be! Tommy Rich doesn't want to wind up in a wheel chair or adult Pampers! He's gonna retire to his home in Tennessee and sell 'Tommy Rich Hair Bleaching' kits for the rest of his life! Tommy, if you're watching, you've made the right call to retire!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "We're just gonna have to wait until next week to know what Tommy Rich's message is. Tonight, Nord , you have a chance to become the first champion of any kind here in World Class in just a few minutes. What does that mean to you?"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>Nord:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "It means that Nord would not only be the career-ender, but also the champion! If I win this Battle Royal, there's not one man here who can take it from me! I'd have to give up the title voluntarily to give someone else the chance to be the TV champ! Or, maybe I'll just hold it until I die and take it with me to Valhalla! Ooooof! Ooooof! Ooooof!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Buff Bagwell. I see you have no ladies with you tonight. What do you think your chances are to win the Tru TV Title tonight?"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BB:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "I wasn't seeing any clients today, Scott. And the chance to win that TV championship is why. I couldn't go out gigoloing today and expect to be at my best in the ring. So Sandra, Charlize and Erma, you're just gonna have to reschedule to have the experience of your life. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

"Look at this waist. It is a gorgeous waist. It's one of the sexiest waists on the planet. But it's gonna look so much better when I'm wearing the Tru TV Championship around it. I'm pumped! I'm ready! Buff is the stuff and he's ready to go!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>SH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Fans! The Battle Royal for the Tru TV Championship is next!)</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Commercials)</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Match 3 (Battle Royal for the Tru TV Championship)</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

(Back from commercial, the wrestlers were already in the ring.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Camera shot of the belt now sitting on the timekeeper's table.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

CJ: "Wrestling fans! It is now time for the Battle Royal to decide the first Tru TV Champion in World Class Wrestling history! Mr. Timkeeper, ring that bell!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Bell rang and the combatants battled it out hot and heavy. Zbysko, Orton, Flair and Kid did battle with one another. Santana and Muraco slugged it out with each other as well. Early on, there were some near eliminations that didn't succeed. All 10 men wanted that belt.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

ORDER OF ELIMINATION:</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

1) Larry Zbysko - Eliminator: Ric Flair - Backdrop over the top rope - 2:28</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

2) Ric Flair - Eliminator: Larry Zbysko - Nord caught Flair with a boot to the face and Flair staggered back and Zbysko, who had squatted down by the ring, pulled down the top rope and Flair toppled over to the floor - 2:51</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

3) Dynamite Kid - Eliminator: Himself - Kid saw what Zbysko had done and leaped over the top rope down to the floor and chased Zbysko to the back - 2:57</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

4) Don Muraco - Eliminator: Rick Martel - Dropkicked Muraco over the top rope to the floor - 3:36</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

5) Tito Santana - Eliminator: Nord The Barbarian - Nord headbutted Tito and Tito staggered back by the ropes and Nord clotheslined Tito over the top rope to the floor - 3:54</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

6) Bob Orton - Eliminator: Bill Irwin - Orton charged at Irwin and Irwin moved and Orton got hung up on the top rope and Irwin dumped him down to the floor - 4:31</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

7) Bill Irwin - Eliminator: Buff Bagwell - Irwin charged at Bagwell in the corner and Bagwell got his foot up and Irwin collided into it face-first. Bagwell grabbed Irwin and threw him over the top rope down to the floor - 4:55</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Final 3: Nord, Martel, Bagwell</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Nord and Buff huddled together and discussed working against Martel.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Nord and Buff methodically moved in on Martel but Martel quickly went on the offensive and kicked Nord in the gut and nailed Buff with some head shots. Nord nailed Martel with a forearm smash to the back. The pair worked over Martel with head and body punches and then whipped Martel into the ropes and caught him coming off with a double clothesline that flattened Martel. Nord told Buff to back off and Nord blasted Martel with a standing leg drop. Nord grabbed Martel and tossed Martel over the top rope and he and Bagwell turned away thinking that Martel was gone but Martel's feet did not hit the floor and Martel skinned the cat and got back in the ring and the pair turned around and Martel went back and forth nailing each man with punches to the face. Martel then butted the two men's head together and they were on stagger street. Martel grabbed Nord and went to throw the big man over the top rope but Nord held onto the top rope and was teetering and a struggle ensued. Bagwell charged up behind Martel and drove a knee into Martel's back. The force of the knee caused Martel to push forward and the impact sent Nord crashing to the floor as fans roared. (Elimination: 6:45) Bagwell started pummeling Martel with punches and forearms. Bagwell whipped Martel into the ropes and caught Martel coming off with a side slam. Bagwell shot to his feet and stood over Martel and briefly struck a bodybuilder pose to mainly boos from the crowd. As Martel got on all fours Bagwell kicked him hard in the side of the ribs. Martel went back down and was holding his ribs. Bagwell pulled Martel up by the hair, whipped Martel into the ropes and caught Martel coming off with an elbow to the chest. Martel went back down. Bagwell started pushing Martel around the ring with his foot and then pulled Martel up and went to whip Martel into the ropes but Martel reversed and caught Bagwell coming off with a scoop powerslam. Both men down. Both men to their feet. Bagwell nailed Martel with a kick to the gut and Rick fell back against the ropes. Bagwell caught Martel with a couple of head shots and then ran into the opposite ropes and came off looking to nail Martel with a clothesline but Martel instead backdropped Bagwell over the top rope and down to the floor.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

9) Buff Bagwell - Eliminator: Rick Martel - Backdropped Bagwell over the top rope to the floor - 9:02</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Fans roared as the ref called for the bell and Craig Johnson got up on the apron and handed the ref the belt and climbed into the ring to interview the new champ. A battle weary Martel raised his arms victoriously as the ref held one arm up in victory and presented Martel with the title. Martel clutched the belt next to his chest. An angry Bagwell got to his feet on the floor and was looking up at the ring.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>CJ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Your winner and first-ever Tru TV Champion...Rick Martel!</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

"Rick! What a first night in World Class, huh?!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RM:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Craig, it is an honor to be the first holder ever of the Tru TV Championship!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Martel held the belt high in the air with one hand as fans cheered and a still pissed Bagwell paced at ringside.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>CJ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "What are you feeling right now?"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RM:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "I'm feeling exhausted and exhiliration at the same time! (Laughs) I want to let these awesome WCW fans know that I intend to be a fighting champion for them!" </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

More cheers as Bagwell climbed into the ring behind Martel and Johnson and walked up and shoved Martel from behind. Martel quickly spun around.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BB:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "I had you beat! I had you beat, man! You say you'll be a fighting champion?!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RM:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Yes, I will."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>BB:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Then how about putting the title on the line against me next week?!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>RM:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "You got it, Buff. We were the last two men left. You deserve the first shot."</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>CJ:</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> "Hold on a minute. I'm getting word in my earpiece that the WCW Championship Committee will allow the match to take place next week on 'Mayhem'! It will be the first title defense in the promotion's history! What a night!"</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Buff and Martel looked at each other for a moment and then Bagwell extended his hand. After a brief hesitation, Martel extended his and the two shook hands. Martel turned back to talk to Craig Johnson as Buff stood behind Martel and then tapped Martel on the shoulder. Rick spun around and Buff kicked Rick in the gut and Rick dropped the belt and Buff nailed Rick with a tornado DDT that left Rick laying in the ring. Crowd booing as Buff stood over the downed Rick and then Buff picked up the title and held it high in the air with one hand as the crowd booed as the program faded to black.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

WINNER: Martel - Eliminated Bagwell - 9:02)</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

</span><span style="font-size:10px;"><strong>END PROGRAM</strong></span><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p>

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 12 - SPRINGFIELD, IL - PRARIE CAPITAL CONVENTION CENTER - 7-7-15 (Taped)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: Weapons Match w/ Texas Tornado Rules: Ric Flair & Dynamite Kid vs. Larry Zbysko & Bob Orton; Tru TV Title: Rick Martel © vs. Buff Bagwell; a special message from Tommy Rich; Bill Irwin sees action and more!)

(Video aired from last week of the end of the Tito Santana vs. Don Muraco match that ended in a double count out.)

(In-ring:

Theme from the original 'Hawaii Five-O' played and out came Don Muraco in street clothes with mic in hand. Crowd booed Muraco as he climbed in the ring. Muraco soaked in the negative crowd reaction.

DM: "Thank you for that warm welcome, white trash."

More boos.

DM: "Last week, nothing was settled by Tito Santana and me. You know why? It's because Tito Santana was too scared to get back in the ring and finish the match. Instead, Tito made sure we were both counted out. That was because he saw that he was about to lose to me. You see, Tito comes from that macho Mexican culture where if you lose, you bring great shame on yourself. He absolutely could not have that happen. Not with all his fans watching on stolen TV's at Taco Bells all across the country. He knew that he would never have lived down the humiliation of defeat to Don Muraco. Tito's fans wouldn't have been able to finish their Taco Supremes and gnarly nachos if that occured. They would have been sad and mad. And for Tito's people, that would have been unacceptable. He would have become persona non grata amongst his own people. And God forbid if any of them actually were stupid enough to bet on the match. I should have beaten Tito Santana last week. But he sabotaged the match and made sure that did not happen because of the threat of losing face before his leaf blower-carrying, lawn mower-pushing loyalists. How would Tito have ever been able to show his face at a landscaping company again?

"Now, we Asian Pacific Islanders, we don't like to lose, either. But we accept defeat when it happens and vow to work harder to get the win the next time. But for Tito's people, when they're not stealing everything that isn't nailed down, it's all about winning and there is no other option. The man has no self respect. If he did, his ass would have done the right thing and accepted the reality of defeat and then went home. I know all the white trash out there wants to see a winner in a match between us. I would like that, too. But with a man like Tito Santana, that's not likely to happen. He'd rather be all sneaky like his invader bretheren are on a daily basis when crossing our southern border than lose like a man. He really should..."

Crowd popped as Santana, in street clothes, power walked to the ring with mic in hand. Tito got in the ring.

DM: "Tito! I was just talking about you. Didn't even know you were here. What did you do? Hitch a ride on one of those mobile taco trucks..."

TS: "Shut up, Don!"

DM: "Hey, hey. No need to get all worked up. That Mexican blood pressure goes way up and...POP!...you might bust a vein or something."

TS: "Let me make this clear to everyone watching this program. We Mexicans have a lot of pride. And you're right. We don't like losing. But we know it happens and we accept it. What happened last week was just one of those things that happens in this sport. We don't like each other. We're in a fight. And we were beating each other up on the floor. Time wasn't a concern at that moment. You say you'd like another match with me, Don?"

DM: "I just said it. What? You don't understand plain English like so many of your people who come in here illegally and squat?"

TS: "I'm trying really hard not to lose it right now. In all the feuds I've had over the years in wrestling, I've never been as angry as I am at you right now. Don, I think you're scum. Not because of your race. But because you are just a low-life human being."

DM: "I'm sorry. Did you say I'm a 'human bean'? Must be getting close to dinner for you. You gonna have the large combo #36 with refried beans later on?"

TS: "Don! Let's have a re-match as soon as possible!"

Tito got in Muraco's face and was saying something off-mic when ring announcer Craig Johnson interjected.

CJ: "Tito and Don. I have just gotten word from the back that you have your re-match and it will take place next week!"

Crowd cheered the news.

Tito and Muraco glared at each other a little more and Muraco then got a sly smile on his face and calmly left the ring and dropped to the floor as Tito looked on.

TS: "Your ass is mine next week, Muraco."

Muraco stopped dead in his tracks and turned and looked back at Tito. Muraco nodded his head and chuckled and turned and made his way back up the aisle as Tito continued to look on from the ring.)

(Announcers discussed the confrontation between Muraco and Santana and the re-match between the two being made for next week. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell.

SH: "Alright. Thank you very much, Tony and Mark. Coming up in just a few minutes here on 'Mayhem' is the Tru TV Championship match. And Rick Martel will be defending against this man, 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell."

Bagwell walked into the picture without any women with him. He was in his ring attire.

SH: "Buff, before we discuss the match tonight, let's take a look at this video from last week of the end of the Battle Royal that determined the first Tru TV Champion in World Class history."

Bagwell nailed Martel with a kick to the gut and Rick fell back against the ropes. 9) Buff Bagwell - Eliminator: Rick Martel - Back dropped Bagwell over the top rope to the floor - 9:02

An angry Bagwell got to his feet on the floor and was looking up at the ring.

CJ: "Your winner and first-ever Tru TV Champion...Rick Martel!

"Rick! What a first night in World Class, huh?!"

RM: "Craig, it is an honor to be the first holder ever of the Tru TV Championship!"

Martel held the belt high in the air with one hand as fans cheered and a still pissed Bagwell paced at ringside.

CJ: "What are you feeling right now?"

RM: "I'm feeling exhaust and exhiliration at the same time! (Laughs) I want to let these awesome WCW fans know that I intend to be a fighting champion for them!"

More cheers as Bagwell climbed into the ring behind Martel and Johnson and walked up and shoved Martel from behind. Martel quickly spun around.

BB: "I had you beat! I had you beat, man! You say you'll be a fighting champion?!"

RM: "Yes, I will."

BB: "Then how about putting the title on the line against me next week?!"

RM: "You got it, Buff. We were the last two men left. You deserve the first shot."

CJ: "Hold on a minute. I'm just getting word in my earpiece that the WCW Championship Committee will allow the match to take place next week on 'Mayhem'! It will be the first title defense in the promotion's history! What a night!"

Buff stood over the downed Rick and then Buff picked up the title and held it high in the air with one hand as the crowd booed as the program faded to black.*

SH: "Rick Martel agreed with you that since you were the last man eliminated in the Battle Royal that you deserved the first shot at the Tru TV Championship. So why the unprovoked attack on him?"

BB: "I laid out Rick Martel because I wanted to send him a message. I'm coming for his belt and I won't stop until I get it. I'm in this business to be the best, just like I am at gigoloing. And championships make you the best in any sport. My goal is to win as many titles as I can here. And I'm starting with the Tru TV Championship that Rick Martel is only borrowing as far as I'm concerned."

SH: "That was Buff Bagwell. The Tru TV Championship match is coming your way after this commercial break.)

(Commercials)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Rick Martel.

SH: "We're back here on 'Mayhem'. My guest at this time saw his debut night and historic win in the Battle Royal to decide the first-ever Tru TV Champion marred by the man he will be facing in just a few minutes, Buff Bagwell."

Rick Martel walked into the interview area. He was in his ring attire.

SH: "Rick Martel. Just before the break, Buff Bagwell said that he attacked you after the match because he wanted to send a message heading into this week's TV Title match. What are you thinking as you prepare to go out there and defend the belt against him?"

RM: "He certainly got my attention, Scott. I had agreed that Buff deserved the first crack at the title because he was the last man eliminated in the Battle Royal. There was no reason for him to assault me. The man's a good wrestler in his own right. But we saw the real Buff Bagwell on display after he hit me with that tornado DDT. What he's done is made me even more determined. The last person I want to see wearing the Tru TV Championship in WCW is Buff Bagwell. Things have now been elevated to another level. I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure Bagwell remains naked around the waist when this match is over. That would be the best revenge there is."

Martel walked out of the interview area.

SH: "That was Rick Martel. Tony and Mark, back to you.")

Match 1 (Tru TV Championship Match)

Rick Martel © vs. 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell

('Call Me' by Blondie filled the arena. Bagwell came out to strong boos. He was in a black sweatsuit with the jacket unzipped and his bare chest exposed. On the back of the jacket were the words 'Time Is Money' in shiny green lettering. He got in the ring and, since he had no ladies with him, removed his own attire. After removing the sweatsuit, Bagwell was wearing leg-length black tights with three gold $$$ signs on the back of the tights and black boots.

Music-only version of 'Synchronicity 2' by The Police filled the arena and out came Martel to a good ovation. Martel slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. Martel was wearing blue tights with the white fleur de lis on each side of the tights, blue boots with white trim and a blue ring jacket with a white fleur de lis on the back with 'Rick Martel' written underneath the logo. He had the title around his waist. Martel got in the ring and briefly saluted fans and then removed the belt and handed it to the ref and then removed his ring jacket.

Ref held the belt up for the fans to see and then handed it down to ring announcer Craig Johnson. Ref called both men to the center of the ring. As Martel and Bagwell looked at each other, ref laid down the rules and then patted each man down. Ref then sent each man to his corner.

Ref called for the bell.

Both men came out of their corners and walked to mid-ring and started having words with one another. Bagwell then slapped Martel hard across the face. After being briefly stunned, Martel returned the slap. Buff was pissed. The two men circled each other and engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Martel drove Bagwell into the corner and the ref ordered a break. Bagwell raised his hands to show he wasn't going to do anything. The men circled one another and engaged in another collar-and-elbow tie-up and Martel drove Bagwell against the ropes. Ref ordered another break. Martel backed off as an angry Bagwell kicked the bottom rope. The two slowly stalked each other again and this time Bagwell held his left hand in the air for a lock-up. Martel locked up with Bagwell. Buff then raised his right hand and Martel locked hands with Buff. After a brief struggle to gain the power advantage which was a stalemate, Bagwell nailed Martel with a series of kicks to the gut. Bagwell grabbed Martel in a side headlock. Bagwell worked over the headlock as Martel tried to escape but couldn't. After more struggle, Martel pushed Bagwell off into the ropes and Bagwell came off and Martel dove down as Bagwell jumped over him and hit the opposite ropes and came back and Martel went down again. Bagwell came off the ropes a third time and Martel caught Bagwell with a hip toss. Bagwell got up and charged at Martel and Martel caught Bagwell with an arm drag. Bagwell down as Martel firmly locked on the arm bar. Bagwell made it to his knees and then to his feet. Martel cinched up on the arm bar and Bagwell was hurting. Bagwell slowly started moving his towards the ropes. Bagwell was finally able to grab the top rope and force a break in the hold. As Martel let go and started to back off, Bagwell stunned Martel with a cheap shot punch to the face. Bagwell nailed Martel with a couple of more head shots and then whipped Martel into the ropes and bent down looking to catch Martel with a back drop but Martel leapfrogged Bagwell, spun around and caught Bagwell as he spun around in a side headlock and took Bagwell over and down to the mat while still holding the side headlock on. Martel worked the side headlock as Bagwell struggled to free himself. Bagwell eventually was able to turn Martel over while holding the titghts for the pin. 1...2.. Martel reversed and maintained the headlock on Bagwell. After a some more struggling, Bagwell once again turned Martel over into a pin try while holding the tights. 1...2... Once again, Martel reversed and maintained the headlock on Bagwell. Martel and Bagwell then worked their way to their knees and then to their feet with Bagwell still locked in the hold. Bagwell tried to shove Martel off but failed to do so. Bagwell then countered with a belly-to-back suplex that freed him from Martel's grasp. Bagwell got up and put the boots to Martel and then snapped Martel up and nailed Martel with a swinging neckbreaker. Bagwell for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2... Martel kicked out.

Bagwell grabbed Martel, whipped Martel into the ropes and caught Martel coming off with a gut punch and then Bagwell nailed Martel with a knee lift that sent Martel crashing to the mat. Martel rolled out onto the ring apron. Bagwell ignored the ref and went over and reached down over the top rope and grabbed Martel and went to suplex Martel back into the ring, but Martel instead suplexed Bagwell over the top rope down to the floor. Buff got to his feet and Martel came off the apron and nailed Buff with an elbow smash to the head. Bagwell crashed against the ringside barricade. Ref counting. Martel moved in and Buff stunned the champ with a thumb to the eye. Bagwell then rammed Martel back-first into the ring apron. Martel went down by the ring. Bagwell then went to whip Martel into the ring steps but Martel reversed and sent Bagwell crashing into them. Bagwell down on the floor. Martel rolled in and out of the ring to break the 20-count. Martel left the ring and grabbed Bagwell as Bagwell was getting up and slammed Bagwell's head into the ring apron and threw Bagwell back into the ring. Martel followed Bagwell back into the ring. Martel went to grab Bagwell, who was on his knees and Bagwell stunned Martel with a couple of gut shots. Bagwell grabbed Martel and repeatedly whipped Martel into the same set of buckles. Martel limp in the corner. Bagwell then popped Martel in the head with some methodically timed head shots. Bagwell got in Martel's face and was saying something to him that the mics didn't pick up. Bagwell whipped Martel into the opposite buckles and charged in on Martel looking to nail Martel with a running shoulder block but Martel moved and Buff slammed shoulder first into the post. Bagwell slowly extracted himself from the post and Martel dropped down and rolled Bagwell up from behind. 1...2...2-1/2... Bagwell kicked out. Both men to their feet. Martel grabbed Bagwell and went for a bodyslam but Bagwell reversed it into a small package. 1...2...2-3/4... Martel kicked out. Both men up and a punch exchange began between the two and Bagwell got the upper hand. Bagwell threw Martel over the top rope and down to the floor and Martel landed on his feet. Bagwell fell to his knees in the ring and then stood up and made the gesture of the title being around his his waist and then struck a bodybuilder pose as Martel quickly gained a second wind, got up on the apron and mounted the top buckle. Bagwell turned around and was greeted with a flying body press. Martel for the pin. 1...2...2-7/8... Bagwell kicked out. Crowd on the edges of their seats. Both men made it to their feet once again with Martel facing away from Bagwell. Bagwell came up behind Martel and nailed him with a double sledge that doubled over Martel. Bagwell then popped Martel with the Tornado DDT. Bagwell for the cover. 1...2... Martel got his foot on the bottom rope. Bagwell quickly hooked Martel's leg. 1...2..2-1/2... Martel got a shoulder up.

Bagwell wasted no time getting up and grabbing Martel and whipping him into the ropes. Bagwell bent over for a backdrop try but Martel caught Bagwell in a sunset flip attempt but Buff fought not to go over. Buff managed to scoot near the ropes and grab the top rope and drop his knees across Martel's shoulders for the pin while holding the top rope. 1...2... Ref saw Bagwell holding the rope and ordered a break. Bagwell let go of the top rope and Martel completed the sunset flip for a pin. 1...2... Bagwell kicked out. Both men up. Bagwell caught Martel with a punch and Martel countered with a kick to the gut. Martel went to suplex Bagwell but Bagwell shifted his weight and dropped down behind Martel and ran Martel into the ropes and rolled up Martel for the pin try while holding a handful of tights. 1...2...2-7/8... Martel kicked Bagwell off and Bagwell slammed front-first into the buckles. Bagwell extracted himself from the buckles and walked right into a scoop powerslam from Martel. Martel went out on the apron and nailed Bagwell with a swan dive (slingshot splash over the top rope onto an opponent in the ring). Martel covered Bagwell and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the crowd roared.

A battle weary Martel got his feet. Ref took the belt from Craig Johnson and went over and raised Martel's hand in victory and handed him the title.

CJ: "Here is your winner...and STILL Tru TV Champion...Rick Martel!"

Martel left the ring with the belt slung over his shoulder and slapped hands with fans on the way to the back.

WINNER: Martel - Pinfall - Swan Dive - 13:23)

(Announcers discussed Martel retaining the title in an exciting match. Hyped still to come: Weapons Match: Flair & Kid vs. Orton & Zbysko. Said a special message from Tommy Rich is coming up next.)

(Commercials)

(Announcers said that Tommy Rich sent a special message to WCW that he wants read to the fans. Then sent it up to the ring and Craig Johnson.)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "We are back here on 'Mayhem' and I have got to tell you that was a great match we just witnessed between Rick Martel and Buff Bagwell for the Tru TV Championship. Martel promised that he would be a fighting champion and he is off to a great start.

"In my hand I have a message that was sent from Tommy Rich and it's a message for you, his fans. The message reads:

I'm just writing a message to let all of you know that I am..."

Nord came stomping down the aisle and waving his big chain in the air. He was in his ring attire. Nord got into the ring and stomped around and continued waving the chain in the air as the fans booed.

CJ: "Nord The Barbarian! What on earth are you doing out here?!"

Nord: "I heard that you were reading a message from Tommy Rich! And I wanted to be out here to hear it as he finally announces his retirement from pro wrestling!"

CJ: "If you're looking for a retirement message from Tommy Rich, Nord, then you've come to the wrong place."

Nord: "I don't think so, Johnson! Read the good news for these people!"

CJ: "OK. Before I was so rudely interrupted, here is the message from Tommy Rich:

I'm just writing a message to let all of you know that I am getting better. The reports from my doctors are very positive. They say that I am recovering well from my concussion and there's a very real chance..."

Nord: "That he's retiring! Right?! Isn't that what it says?! Continue on!"

CJ: "I'll continue:

They say that I am recovering well from my concussion and there's a very real chance that I will one day be able to do what I love which is wrestling."

Nord: "What?! That's not what it says! Let me see it!"

Johnson let Nord look at the letter. Nord briefly looked at it and handed it back.

Nord: "If you notice there's no set time for a return! His doctor's have told him he might...might...one day be able to wrestle again! What does 'one day' mean?! It could mean next week or it could mean 10 doggone years from now! Personally, I think that concussion that I gave Tommy Rich has made him delusional! He's living in a mental fantasyland!"

CJ: "The message goes on to say:

While no time frame has been given for a return to the ring, the doctors now believe that a chance to come back stands at 80% and that we could be looking at a return within the next 6-8 weeks if not sooner."

Nord: "What?! He's not coming back! I know the damage I did to him when I smashed him in the head with Valhalla here!"

Nord holds up his chain that he calls 'Valhalla'.

Nord: "Also, he says the chance of coming back is 80%! 80% is not the same as 100%! Until he's 100% he can never return to wrestling! He's done! Kaput! I ended the career of Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich and everyone out here needs to face that reality! There will be no return, no re-match with me! Forget it! What's done is done and Tommy Rich is done! I don't want to hear any more of his message!"

Nord ripped the message out of Johnson's hand, tore it up and started eating the paper.

CJ: "What are you doing?!"

Nord spit out the chewed up pieces of paper.

Nord: "Johnson! I don't ever want to hear you or anyone else say Tommy Rich is coming back to wrestle in World Class! Quit telling lies!"

Nord raised his chain menacingly in Johnson's direction and Johnson bailed from the ring to the floor. Nord then stomped around the ring waving his chain in the air as the crowd booed. Nord then left the ring and started stomping around ringside and waving the chain and having words with fans.

Schiavone: "We've got a match that's scheduled to take place now. But Nord's not leaving ringside."

Nord continued to stomp around and argue with fans as wrestler Scotty Riggs made his way to the ring.

Schiavone: "Scotty Riggs is supposed to be wrestling 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin. Looks like we'll have to see how things play out as Nord doesn't look like he's in a hurry to go anywhere."

Riggs climbed into the ring and Nord saw him. Nord stopped arguing with the fans and climbed into the ring. Riggs saw Nord and Nord was just staring at him. Riggs cautiously removed his ring jacket and turned to hand it down to the ring attendant and Nord dropped his chain and attacked Riggs from behind with a clubbing forearm smash to the back. Nord pounded away on Riggs some more and then whipped Riggs into the opposite buckles and charged in and blasted Riggs with a stiff clothesline. Riggs staggered out of the corner and was holding the top rope. Nord grabbed Riggs, whipped him into the ropes and caught Riggs coming off with a boot to the face that devastated Riggs. Nord then grabbed his chain wrapped part of it around his fist as he waited for Riggs to get up. An unsteady Riggs started making his way to his feet as the crowd popped as Irwin came charging to the ring with a steel chair in hand. Irwin came up from behind and clocked Nord across the back with the chair and stunned Nord. Irwin bashed Nord again across the back with the chair and Nord dropped his chain. Irwin blasted Nord a third time across the back with the chair. Nord spun around and Irwin bashed Nord in the head with the chair. The shot stunned Nord and he turned away from Irwin. Irwin then wound up and bashed Nord across the back with the chair a fourth time and sent Nord careening over the top rope and crashing to the floor. Nord wasn't down for long before getting up. Irwin held the chair at the ready as Nord contemplated what to do next. Nord grabbed the ropes and started climbing up on the apron but Irwin swung the chair at Nord and Nord let the top rope go and dropped back to the floor before getting struck again. Nord walked around to the other side of the ring as Irwin followed him from in the ring. Nord attempted to reach into the ring and grab his chain but Irwin stomped on his hand. An angry Nord briefly rubbed his hand and then looked under the ring apron and brandished a lead pipe. Nord waved the pipe around as Irwin was ready to use the chair again if necessary. This brought out WCW security officers who hit the ring and stood between the two. Officers were telling Nord to vacate the area but Nord was having none of it and continued waving the pipe around. Irwin was stalking around in the ring and being held at bay by security. After the intense stand-off had lasted a little longer, security was able to restore order. Nord pointed the pipe in baseball bat-like fashion at Irwin and then tossed the pipe and was hustled back up the aisle by a large group of security personnel as Irwin was still kept in the ring by other security.)

(Announcers discussed the situation between Nord and Bill Irwin. Said the weapons match was coming up next!)

Match 2 (Weapons Match fought under Texas Tornado rules)

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair & Dynamite Kid vs. 'Cowboy' Bob Orton & 'Living Legend' Larry Zbysko

(Announcers explained that Texas Tornado rules meant that there would be no tag-ins. All four men would be fighting at the same time.

Announcers said they would stay with the match to its conclusion.

Shot of weapons laying around the ringside barricade on the floor.

'I'm The Man' by Anthrax played and out came Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton to strong boos. Zbysko was in his black tights and boots and had his 'LZ' initials in gold lettering on the outside of each boot. Orton was in his green tights and black boots with white horsehoes on the outside of each boot. The pair got in the ring and waited for their opponents.

Buzz filled the arena and then 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' played and the fans erupted as Flair and Kid came out. Flair was in his powder blue tights and boots with 'RF' in dark blue lettering on the outside of each boot. Kid was in light blue leg-length tights with 'Kid' written on the back of his tights in red, white and blue slanted block lettering and blue boots with red and white trim and lit sticks of dynamite on the outside of each boot.

Flair and Kid bolted to the ring and got in and started brawling with Zbysko and Orton right away. Ref called for the bell to start the match.

It was a short, wild, brutal affair as the match was built around both sides primarily beating the hell out of each other with punches, kicks and weapons shots.

Flair was the first man opened up roughly one minute into the match when Orton slammed Flair's head into the ring post.

Zbysko opened up Kid a couple of minutes later when he took the claw end of the ring bell hammer and used it to cut Kid open in the ring.

Zbysko got a receipt from Kid about two minutes later when Kid busted open Zbysko with a good ol' fashioned chair shot to the head out on the floor.

At the end of the match, Flair was battling Orton in the ring and Zbysko was battling Kid on the floor. Flair had the advantage and whipped Orton into the ropes and looked to catch Orton coming off with a backdrop but Orton instead dropped an elbow into the back of Flair's head. Orton moved in and caught Flair with some stiff rights and then whipped Flair into the ropes and caught Flair comin off with a kick to the gut that doubled Flair over and Orton moved in and blasted Flair with a piledriver. Flair laid out. Zbysko and Kid had been fighting evenly on the floor when Kid gained the advantage by driving Zbysko back-first into the ringside barricade a trio of times. Zbysko hurting against the barricade. Kid then climbed up on the apron and mounted the top turnbuckle and came off with a double sledge attempt on Zbysko and Zbysko moved and Kid smashed into the ringside barricade. Both men hurting on the floor.

Back in the ring, Orton left the ring and dropped to the floor and reached under the ring apron and brandished a beer bottle. Orton climbed back onto the ring apron as Flair stirred in the ring. Orton mounted the top buckle with beer bottle in hand looking to repeat what he did to Flair two weeks earlier. Flair got up and Orton came off the top rope and Flair caught Orton with a gut punch. Orton dropped the beer bottle and went to a knee. On the floor, Zbysko moved in and nailed Kid with karate kicks to the gut and then threw Kid headlong into the steps. Kid down. Back in the ring, Orton got up and turned right into a blistering series of chops from Flair that sent Orton crashing to the mat. Flair went over and grabbed the beer bottle and waited for Orton to get up. Zbysko continued to hold the advantage over Kid on the floor. Orton got to his feet, spun around and Flair repaid Orton by smashing the beer bottle over Orton's head. Orton stumbled back and crashed down near the ropes as the crowd roared. Flair let out a loud 'Whoo!' to the delight of the crowd and then left the ring and dropped to the floor and pulled the now bleeding Orton out of the ring and down to the floor. Zbysko slammed Kid's head into the ring apron and threw Kid back into the ring. Zbysko then went over and grabbed the kendo stick off the floor and made his way back up on the apron. Flair was now pummeling the stunned Orton with chops and punches in the aisle. Zbysko got in the ring and waited for Kid to get to his feet. Kid got to his feet and Zbysko went to bash Kid over the head with the kendo stick but Kid grabbed the stick and a struggle ensued over it. After a brief battle, Kid kicked Zbysko in the gut and Zbysko's grip loosened on the stick. Kid kicked Zbysko a second time and Zbysko let go of the stick and Kid now had it. Zbysko and Kid briefly locked eyes and then Kid sent the stick crashing down on top of Zbysko's skull as the crowd went nuts. Zbysko crashed to the mat. Flair and Orton had fought back down to the ringside area and Orton gained the advantage and went to whip Flair into the ringside barricade but Flair reversed and whipped Orton at the barricade and Orton slammed into it and crumpled in a heap next to it. In the ring, Kid covered Zbysko and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans roared.

A crimson mask-wearing Kid got to his feet and had his hand raised by the ref. Kid then went over and picked up the kendo stick and stood over Zbysko. Zbysko weakly held his hands up in an effort to try and keep Kid from hitting him. A bloody Flair climbed back into the ring. Kid was clearly filled with rage and wanted to unleash kendo stick shots on him like Zbysko had done to him just two weeks earlier. Flair talked with Kid and gestured for Kid not to do it. Kid didn't appear to be listening and was clearly contemplating bashing Zbysko. Zbysko in no position to defend himself. Flair spoke with Kid some more. After a brief, tense pause, Kid tossed the stick aside and he and Flair left the ring. Once out on the apron, Flair raised Kid's hand in victory as the fans roared as the program faded to black.

WINNER: Flair & Kid - Pinfall - Kid pinned Zbysko after a kendo stick shot to the head - 7:48)

Schiavone: "Adnan El-Kaissey has made mention of soldiers in the past but he's never been very specific about what he means. What are his intentions here? We all want answers but El-Kaissey is not being very forthcoming. What is this revolution that he just mentioned?"

Kimchee removed Kamala's mask and Kaissey and Kimchee had words for Kamala before leaving the ring. Kamala slapped his belly.

Ref called for the bell.

Madden: "You wonder if this will be the night that Steve O finally wins his first match in WCW?"

The two men came out and Kamala nailed O with a chop to the top of the head. Kamala then pulled O up by the hair and nailed O with a trio of headbutts to the back of the head. O went down again and rolled over next to the ropes. Kamala went over, grabbed the top rope and stood on O's back. O in great pain as the ref counted. Kimchee gestured for Kamala to break the hold and Kamala did so at the count of 4. O rolled out onto the apron. Kamala, not good at listening to the ref as the ref tried to order him to stand back, grabbed the referee by the shirt. Kimchee wildly gestured for Kamala to let the ref go and Kamala did as commanded. O started to get to his feet on the apron when Kamala came over and stunned O with a big open hand chop to the chest and then picked O up and bodyslammed O back into the ring. Kamala stomped on O with his bare and then pulled O up and whipped O into the buckles. Kamala backed up into the opposite corner and looked to nail O with a running big splash but O moved and Kamala slammed into the buckles. Kamala turned around and came out of the corner and O started hitting Kamala with punches to the head and the body. Kamala started going crazy in the ring from the effects of the punches. Kamala started bounding wildly around the ring as Kimchee jumped up on the apron in an effort to calm Kamala down. O dropkicked Kamala from behind and Kamala crashed into Kimchee. Kamala remained on top of the defeated O as Kimchee and Kaissey climbed into the ring. Kimchee gestured for Kamala to get up but Kamala didn't budge. Kimchee then waved the riding crop in Kamala's face and Kamala knew that was the signal to get up. The trio then left the ring and headed back up the aisle to boos.

Madden: "When will O finally stop coming close and win a damn match! This is getting unbelievable now!"

WINNER: Kamala - Pinfall - Diving Splash - 5:38)

(Announcers discussed Kamala beating O. The announcers then intro'd video from last week of the confrontation between Nord The Barbarian and Bill Irwin.

VIDEO: Nord continued to stomp around and argue with fans as wrestler Scotty Riggs made his way to the ring.

Nord then grabbed his chain and wrapped part of it around his fist as he waited for Riggs to get up. Nord grabbed the ropes and started climbing up on the apron but Irwin swung the chair at Nord and Nord let the top rope go and dropped back to the floor. Nord pointed the pipe in baseball bat-like fashion at Irwin and then tossed the pipe and was hustled back up the aisle by a large group of security personnel as Irwin was still kept in the ring by other security.

Announcers then sent it backstage to Scott Hudson.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Nord The Barbarian.

Nord was already in the interview area in his ring attire and had his trusty big chain named 'Valhalla'.

SH: "OK. Thank you, Tony and Mark. With me right now is a man who, to put it lightly, is not a happy camper, Nord The Barbarian. Nord, last week you seemed to get angry over the news that Tommy Rich may very well be returning to action here in WCW and then you attacked Scotty Riggs, who was supposed to be wrestling Bill Irwin in the match after your interview, for no good reason and Bill Irwin made the save and knocked you out of the ring with a chair. What are your thoughts on this matter?"

Nord: "What are my thoughts, huh? What are my thoughts about Tommy Rich and Bill Irwin? I'll tell you what the hell I'm thinking! First of all, Tommy Rich is not coming back to wrestling...ever! I don't care what he said last week in his message! Tommy Rich is done and you're looking at the man who ended his career! Maybe I should change my name from Nord The Barbarian to Nord The Career Destroyer! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!

"And as for Scotty Riggs, that issue was between me and him!"

SH: "You and him?! He was supposed to be wrestling in the next match, a match you weren't booked in by the way, and you just climbed in the ring and started beating the living crap out of him for no valid reason!"

Nord: "Hudson! Neither you or anyone else is going to dictate to Nord what he can and cannot do! The bottom line is that Bill Irwin had no right, none, to come out to the ring and assault me with a chair! Irwin's lucky security came out because if they didn't, I wouldn't be having a match with Irwin tonight, he'd be in the hospital! And you know what, Hudson?!"

SH: "What?"

Nord: "Bill Irwin may get an all expenses paid trip to the hospital tonight after I get through with him! I'm comin', Bill! Prepare for war! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!"

Nord stomped out of the interview area as Hudson looked on.)

(Announcers said an interview with Tru TV Champ Rick Martel was coming up next!)

(Commercials)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson interviewed Rick Martel.

CJ: "Wrestling fans! Would you please welcome my guest at this time! He is the reigning Tru TV Champion Rick Martel!"

Music-only version of 'Synchronicity 2' by The Police played and out came Martel to a good ovation. Martel was in street clothes and carrying the TV Title. Martel slapped hands with some fans on the way to the ring. Martel got in the ring and acknowledged the crowd.

CJ: "Rick, you've been here three weeks now and in that time you've defeated Kamala in a match to retain your spot in the Battle Royal to decide the first-ever Tru TV Champion; you won the Battle Royal; and last week you defeated 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell in an incredible match in your first title defense. How you feeling?"

RM: "Craig, I almost don't know what to do with myself right now because the last two weeks were so busy with having to wrestle so much. But it's good to get a breather. Buff Bagwell put up quite a fight last week and I had to give it everything I had to keep the TV Championship. I appreciate this interview time that has been afforded to me. But I'm loooking forward to stepping back in the ring and wrestling in front of the best fans in wrestling."

Crowd cheered.

CJ: "Do you have any challengers for the belt on the horizon?"

RM: "Right now, not specifically. But I'm sure they're lining up. There's a lot of great competition here in World Class and they are certainly worthy of getting a shot at this belt. And, let's not forget that Buff Bagwell deserves another shot in the future. He's definitely a championship-caliber wrestler no matter what the fans or I may think of him personally."

CJ: "You've already accomplished one major goal here. What does the future hold for Rick Martel in World Class Wrestling."

RM: "The immediate future for Rick Martel will be defending this title. It is the Tru TV Championship. It's meant to be defended here on Tru TV. I told the fans before that I intend to be a fighting champion for them and I mean it."

CJ: "WCW Executive Jim Herd has said that he has an announcement he wanted to make tonight when you were out here for your interview. Do you know what it's about?"

RM: "I have no idea, Craig. But if it involves me wrestling then I'm dying to know what it is."

CJ: "Jim Herd, would please come to the ring."

Herd, in a suit, made his way to the ring to virtually no response. Herd got in the ring and shook Martel's hand.

CJ: "Jim, what is this news?"

JH: "Before I get to that, Craig, just let me say that it's good to have the Tru TV Championship in the hands of a wrestler who is worthy of being a champion. Congratulations, Rick."

RM: "Thank you."

JH: "Rick, you've made it clear that you intend to be a fighting champion. Well, you can start preparing for your next title defense. The WCW Championship Committee has decided that next week on 'Mayhem' there will be a 4-man elimination match and the winner will get a shot at the Tru TV Championship on 'Mayhem' in two weeks. The next match coming up on the program tonight is Nord The Barbarian vs. 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin. The winner of that match earns a slot in the elimination match."

CJ: "Rick, what do you have to say about that?"

RM: " I need to start preparing for my title defense in two weeks. I can't wait to get back to work. I'll be watching that elimination match next week with great interest."

CJ: "Jim Herd, that was quite the announcement."

JH: "We aim to give the WCW fans the best and most exciting wrestling around for one simple reason. Because the word 'wrestling' in World Class Wrestling actually stands for wrestling."

CJ: "And it's a breath of fresh air! Let's hear it one more time for Tru TV Champion Rick Martel! Tony and Mark.)

(Announcers discussed the elimination match to take place next week with the winner getting a Tru TV Title shot in two weeks. They also mentioned that after the wild, bloody weapons match last week, Ric Flair, Dynamite Kid, Larry Zbysko and Bob Orton were getting the week off. Said Irwin vs. Nord was coming up with the winner earning a slot in next week's elimination match. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Bill Irwin.

Irwin was already in the interview area and in his ring attire and holding a folded up steel chair.

SH: "Thank you, Tony and Mark. It's been another memorable night so far on 'Mayhem' and it's only going to get more memorable as Tito Santana battles Don Muraco in a re-match after nothing was settled between them last week. And right after the break, Bill Irwin battles Nord The Barbarian. Bill, the stakes just got higher in your match with the announcement we just heard from Jim Herd."

BI: "It just adds more fuel to my fire to go out there tonight and beat Nord The Barbarian! Nord, I offer no apologies for what I did to you last week with that chair! Sometimes, a man has to step up to the plate and be a man! There was no justification for you to attack Scotty Riggs like you did! None! Nord! Wherever you go, that chain you call Valhalla is never far behind! We saw the damage you did to Tommy Rich with it! And Tommy, if you're watching, I hope that you come back soon, brother! So, Nord, you've got the chain and I've got the chair! And if you grab Valhalla during our match, then I'm grabbing my good friend Basher the Chair, because I'll bash the hell out of you with it one more time! I'm tired of talkin'! Let's do this!"

SH: "He's primed and ready as you can see! Bill Irwin vs. Nord The Barbarian right after the break!")

(Commercials)

Match 2 (Winner gets a slot in next week's elimination match for a TV Title shot in two weeks)

'Long Rider' Bill Irwin vs. Nord The Barbarian

('Deaf Forever' by Motorhead filled the arena and out came Nord. He stomped around on the stage and was holding up his big steel chain. Nord made his way to the ring to pretty strong boos. He was in his fur-lined vest, black tights with the word 'Berzerker' in white written in a lighting-like letter style on the back, and fur-lined wrestling boots.

'Nevada Fighter' by Mike Nesmith played and out came Bill Irwin to a decent ovation. He had Basher the Chair with him. He was in his jeans and cowboy-style wrestling boots, white hat and brown trenchcoat. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

In the ring, Nord had words with the ref about his chain. Nord was stalking around as Irwin climbed up on the apron with chair in hand. Ref went over and gestured for Irwin to put the chair down. Irwin had a few words with the ref and then dropped to the floor and placed the chair next to the ring post and removed his jacket and hat. Nord still holding his chain and stalking around in the ring. Ref had more words with Nord and Nord acted like he was going to strike the ref with the chair and the ref recoiled and yelled for Nord to lose the chain. Nord continued to rebel as the ref gestured for ring announcer Craig Johnson. Johnson, mic in hand, climbed up on the apron.

Ref: "Nord, if you do not put the chain away, I will disqualify you and award the match to Bill Irwin! You have until the count of five to lose it!"

Ref started counting. At the count of four, Nord went over and placed the chain on the top ring bolt that connects the turnbuckle to the ring post.

Ref called for the bell to start the match.

The two men started to circle one another when Irwin suddenly left the ring and dropped to the floor and went over and grabbed Nord's chain out of the corner. A furious Nord bolted the ring and dropped to the floor and glared at Irwin, who was ready to use Nord's own weapon against him. Nord walked over and grabbed the chair Irwin brought to ringside and a stand-off ensued with both men prepared to hit each other with the other's weapon. Ref dropped to the floor and stood between the two men and ordered them to drop the weapons and get in the ring and wrestle. After a few more tense seconds, both men tossed the weapons on the floor. Nord climbed into the ring before Irwin and as Irwin was climbing in, Nord attacked Irwin with a series of forearms to the back. Nord grabbed Irwin and slammed Irwin head-first into the top buckle. Irwin spun around and Nord laid into him with a series of elbow strikes to the side of the head. Irwin staggered out of the corner next to the ropes and Nord started choking Irwin out on the top rope and broke the illegal hold at the count of 4. Nord grabbed Irwin and picked him up and dropped Irwin gut-first across his knee. Irwin down. Nord went out on the apron and mounted the top rope as Irwin got up and was bent over. Nord came off the top rope with a leg drop bulldog attempt but Irwin fell out of the way and Nord crashed to the mat. Both men down. Nord got up faicng away from Irwin and Irwin came up from behind and stunned Nord with a series of forearm smashes to the back and then he stunned Nord with an inverted headlock backbreaker. Irwin got up and put the boots to Nord and snatched Nord up, whipped Nord into the ropes and caught Nord coming off with running high knee to the chest. Nord stumbled back against the ropes. Irwin laid into Nord with head and body punches and then whipped Nord into the buckles. Nord charged out of the corner and looked to drop Irwin with a clothesline but Irwin ducked the move and when Nord turned around Irwin picked up Nord and bodyslammed him in position for a turnbuckle move. Irwin then stomped on Nord's head for good measure. Irwin went out on the apron and mounted the top rope and came off with a frog splash on Nord. The impact of the move had Irwin bouncing off of Nord. Irwin quickly recovered and covered Nord and hooked the leg. 1...2...2-1/2... Nord kicked out and got to his feet next to the ropes. Irwin moved in and nailed Nord with a couple of knees to the gut, whipped Nord into the ropes and looked to catch Nord coming off with a clothesline but Nord ducked the move and came back and blasted Irwin with a flying shoulder tackle that dropped Irwin. Nord quickly got to his feet as Irwin made his way up. Irwin got up and turned around and walked right into a boot to the face from Nord. Irwin crashed to the mat. Nord hit the ropes and came off and nailed Irwin with his flying leg drop finisher. Nord covered Irwin and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Nord got up and didn't even wait for the ref to raise his hand.

CJ: "Here is your winner...Nord The Barbarian!"

Nord left the ring and dropped to the floor and retrived the chair that Irwin had brought to the ring. Nord climbed back in the ring. The ref tried to stop Nord. Nord just shot a glare at the ref and that was all the ref needed to know to back off. Irwin had rolled over on his side. Nord proceeded to start beating the hell out of the defeated Irwin with the chair. Ref called for the bell again but Nord ignored it and the beating continued. Nord was hitting Irwin so hard that the top end of the chair bent. Ref again called for the bell and again Nord ignored it. Ref called Craig Johnson over to the ring and spoke to him. When Johnson started to speak, Nord stopped beating Irwin with the chair.

CJ: "Wrestling fans! I have just been informed that since Nord The Barbarian did not stop attacking Bill Irwin with the chair after repeated warnings, the referee has reversed the decision! Your winner by disqualification...Bill Irwin!"

Nord didn't seem to care and turned back and struck Irwin a few more times with the chair. Nord then tossed the chair, left the ring, picked up his chain off the floor and headed back up the aisle to boos.

WINNER: Irwin - DQ - Reverse Decision - 4:55)

(Announces discussed the ending of the Nord-Irwin match and that Irwin, because of the reverse decision, will now be in the 4-man elimination match next week with the winner getting a shot at the TV Title in two weeks. Said Muraco vs. Santana was next!)

(Commercials)

Match 3

Don Muraco vs. Tito Santana

(Announcers pointed out that Muraco and Santana wrestled to a double count out in their last match.

Mariachi music played and out came Santana to a strong ovation. Santana was wearing a sombrero, black and red poncho, red tights with a white sombrero on the back and red boots with Mexican flags on the outside of each boot. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring and got in the ring and briefly acknowledged the crowd.

Theme from the original 'Hawaii Five-O' played and out came Muraco to strong boos. He was in his purple tights and black boots.

Ref called for the bell to start the match.

Announcers said they would stay with the match to its conclusion.

Tito and Muraco circled each other and then engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Tito drove Muraco towards the ropes and the two tumbled through the top and middle rope down to the floor. Ref started the 20-count as both men got to their feet and Tito kicked Muraco in the gut and then slammed Muraco's head into the top of the ringside barricade. Muraco walked way and Tito grabbed Muraco and whipped Muraco shoulder-first into the ring post. Muraco staggered away and Tito grabbed Muraco and threw him into the ring. Tito climbed into the ring as Muraco got up. Muraco charged at Tito and went to punch Tito but Tito ducked the punch try and Muraco spun himself around and Tito popped Muraco with an atomic drop. Muraco dropped down to his knees. Tito nailed Muraco with a couple of head shots and then whipped Muraco into the buckles and Tito came in and popped Muraco with a series of shoulder blocks to the gut. Tito then whipped Muraco into the opposite buckles and Muraco came out of the corner and dropped Tito with a clothesline. Muraco dropped an elbow smash on the prone Tito and then pounded the back of Tito's head off the mat. Muraco pulled Tito up, whipped Tito into the ropes and caught Tito coming off with a press slam. Tito down and hurting. Tito in the sit-up position as Muraco came up behind Tito and nailed him with a neck snap. Tito down and grabbing the back of his neck. Muraco then grabbed Tito in a rear chinlock and cinched up on the hold. Muraco then stood up and dropped an elbow on Tito's head and went for the cover. 1...2... Tito kicked out. Muraco got up and gestured to the ref by slapping his hands together that he thought he had a three count. Tito rolled over on his stomach as Muraco turned back to him and Tito was able to blast Muraco with a mule kick that sent Muraco crashing to the mat. Both men got to their feet and Tito caught Muraco with a dropkick that dropped Muraco again. Muraco rolled out on the apron and dropped to his feet on the floor and started walking around. Muraco had words with some ringside fans as Tito climbed out on the apron. Crowd popped as Muraco turned in Tito's direction and Tito came off the apron and nailed Muraco with a flying clothesline. Muraco down. Ref started the 20-count. Tito grabbed Muraco and started to pull him up when Muraco grabbed Tito around the waist and drove Tito back-first into the ringside barricade. Count rising.

Muraco nailed Tito with some kicks and punches and then threw Tito back into the ring. Tito got up and Muraco nailed Tito with a double sledge to the back and then grabbed Tito in a side headlock. Muraco worked over the headlock and maneuvered around near the ropes so his back was to the ref and Muraco caught Tito with the Asiatic spike. Tito flailing in the hold. Ref moved around and Muraco quickly released the spike but kept the headlock on. Muraco once again moved around so his back was towards the ref and Muraco once again caught Tito with the Asiatic spike. Tito flailing away. This time the ref caught Muraco and forced a break. Tito stumbled back and was grabbing his throat. Muraco caught the defenseless Tito with a couple of punches and then hoisted Tito up and dropped Tito throat-first across the top rope. Tito snapped back and crashed to the mat. Muraco stood over Tito for a moment and then pulled Tito up and went to whip Tito into the buckles but Tito reversed and sent Muraco into buckles and blasted Muraco with a step-up enzuigiri. Muraco staggered out of the corner and went down. Both men down. Both men made it to their feet and Tito and Muraco engaged in a brief punch exchange that Muraco got the better of and Muraco caught Tito in another headlock and Tito quickly countered with a belly-to-back suplex. Both men got up and Muraco was hunched over and Tito blasted Muraco with a running knee lift to the chest that sent Muraco crashing back to the mat. Tito for the cover. 1...2... Muraco kicked out. Tito got up as Muraco was on his hands and knees and Tito drove a knee into Muraco's ribs. Tito snatched Muraco up, whipped Muraco into the ropes and looked to catch Muraco coming off with a clothesline but Muraco ducked the move and came back and pummeled Tito with a spear. Tito down and Muraco went for the cover while laying with his back on Tito's chest. 1...2... Tito reversed and was able to shift his weight and roll-up Muraco for a pin try. 1...2...2-1/2... Muraco kicked out. Crowd groaned. Tito jumped on Muraco and nailed Muraco with some head shots and then repaid Muraco by slamming the back of Muraco's head off the mat. Tito grabbed Muraco but Muraco got his foot on the bottom rope to force a break. Muraco rolled out on the ring apron. Ref ordered Tito back. Ref counting. Tito got tired of waiting and went over and Muraco caught Tito with a couple of shoulder blocks through the top and middle rope. Tito stumbled back and Muraco got back in the ring and hammered Tito with a couple of punches and then whipped Tito into the ropes and looked to catch Tito with a clothesline but Tito ducked the move and came back and caught Muraco with a flying crossbody. Muraco down with Tito on top of him for the cover. 1...2...2-3/4... Muraco kicked out.

Both men got up and Tito hit Muraco with another dropkick and Muraco toppled through the top and middle rope down to the floor. Tito backed up in the ring as Muraco made it to his feet on the floor. Tito charged across the ring and dove through the top and middle rope like a missle and blasted Muraco. The move had such an impact that both men were down. Ref started the 20-count. Both men started stirring on the floor as the count rose. Tito made it his feet and headed back to the ring. Muraco got up as Tito got on the apron and grabbed Tito's leg. Tito kicked Muraco off but Muraco didn't go down. Tito had started to climb through the ropes when Muraco grabbed Tito's leg again. Once again, Tito kicked Muraco off and Muraco went down. Tito climbed back into the ring just as the ref's count hit 20. Ref called for the bell. Tito raised his hands victoriously as Muraco got up on the floor. Ref went over to Craig Johnson, who was now standing on the apron, and spoke off-mic with him.

CJ: "The referee said Tito Santana did NOT beat the 20-count back into the ring! Therefore the match is a double count out!"

Crowd booed and Tito went over and started talking in animated fashion to the ref as Muraco watched from the floor. Tito was in disbelief.

DECISION: Double Countout - 11:01)

(Announcers stated that this was the second count out between the two men. Hyped for next week: 4-man elimination match with the winner getting a TV Title shot in two weeks!)

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 14 - TOLEDO, OH - HUNTINGTON CENTER - 7-21-15 (Taped)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: 4-Man Elimination Match (Winner gets a Tru TV Title shot next week): Bill Irwin vs. Bob Orton vs. Dynamite Kid vs. Buff Bagwell; Larry Zbysko sees action; an interview with Steve O; a look back at the end of the Don Muraco-Tito Santana double count out; a look back at the end of the Nord vs. Irwin match; and more.)

Match 1

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair vs. Jose-Luis Rivera

(Rivera was already in the ring and introduced.

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' played and out came Flair to a solid ovation. He was in his green robe, green tights and yellow boots with the initials 'RF' on the outside of each boot in green lettering.

Flair dominated most of the match, but Rivera got some offense in and got a 1-count pin attempt. Flair finished off Rivera by making Rivera tap out in the figure 4.

WINNER: Flair - Submission - Figure 4 - 3:26)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson interviewed Ric Flair.

CJ: "Ric Flair! Another impressive performance here on 'Mayhem'! You took a well-deserved day off last week after your match two weeks ago where you and the Dynamite Kid beat Bob Orton and Larry Zbysko in a brutal weapons match. Is that feud finally over?"

RF: "Toledo, Ohio! Whoo!

"Craig Johnson! I've had heat with Larry Zbysko from day one here in World Class! And that heat is only getting hotter between us! Who knows when things will be finally decided between us!"

CJ: "Will you be watching Zbysko's match later tonight?"

RF: "Unfortunately, I have other commitments and I have be somewhere else, so I'll be gone by the time that snake Zbysko wrestles his match."

CJ: "Your good friend the Dynamite Kid is in the 4-man elimination match that will take place later tonight. The winner gets a Tru TV Championship match against the champ Rick Martel next week. You like his chances?"

RF: "The Dynamite Kid is one of the finest wrestlers in our sport today! I'm not saying this because we're friends, but I think Dynamite is the favorite going into the match tonight! And if he wins, Whoo!, what a match it should be between him and Rick Martel for the title next week! The fans will definitely get their money's worth in that one!"

CJ: "One more question. Is there gonna be a Ric Flair party later tonight?"

RF: "Oh! You know there is, brother! The 'Nature Boy' is gonna be stylin' and profilin' as only he can! And he's gonna be doin' it right here in the great city of Toledo! Whoo!"

Flair started to do the strut in the ring.

CJ: "'Nature Boy' Ric Flair! Thank you for your time! Back to Tony and Mark!")

(Announcers discussed Flair winning. Hyped coming later tonight: 4-Man Elimination Match: Orton vs. Irwin vs. Kid vs. Bagwell. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Dynamite Kid and Bill Irwin.

Both men were already in the interview area with Hudson and in their ring attire.

SH: "Hi, everyone. Scott Hudson here with the Dynamite Kid and 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin. They are two of the men who are competing in the 4-man elimination match later tonight along with Bob Orton and 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell with the winner getting a Tru TV Title shot next week against champion Rick Martel.

"Bill Irwin, how are you feeling this week after that brutal attack last week by Nord The Barbarian with the chair? He appeared to lay a pretty savage beating on you."

BI: "Scott, I'm still pretty sore right now. Got some bruises on my body where Nord beat me with that chair. Normally, I don't wear a shirt when I wrestle. But, as you can see, I will be wearing a shirt in the match tonight to cover up the bruising. I got x-rayed at the hospital after the attack and fortunately nothing was broken. I'm probably going against my better judgment by stepping into the ring tonight. But it's not often you get a chance at a title shot in this sport and I wasn't going to let this pass me by. I'll worry about the pain later."

SH: "Dynamite, your good friend Ric Flair said he believed you were the favorite going into this match. That's quite an endorsement."

DK: "It never hurts to get a vote of confidence from the man, Ric Flair. He's a trusted friend and arguably the top wrestler in the world today. Hope I can make his prediction come true and win the match tonight."

SH: "Bob Orton is in this match. You and Flair have had quite a feud going with him and Zbysko the last couple of months. Any thoughts on him heading into this match?"

DK: "I know what Bob Orton is capable of, Scott. And with a championship shot on the line in this match, I know that Bob Orton will do whatever he feels necessary to try and lock up the win. I also know that Larry Zbysko is here tonight and he could be a real wildcard if he tries to get involved. I'm going out there to wrestle the best match that I can and win this thing. I want to be the one facing Rick Martel for the belt next week. But I know that the Orton-Zbysko factor will definitely have me on high alert at all times. The key is to try and not get overly distracted by the situation and just concentrate on winning the match.

"And one more thing. Bill, we get along just fine. But in this match it's every man for himself. I wish you the best. But if it comes down to me and you, well, friendship goes out the window and I'm gonna work my arse off to win the match."

BI: "I'm on the same wavelength with you, Dynamite. This match is all about winning and getting that Tru TV Title shot next week. This is a piece of business."

The two men shook hands.

SH: "Alright, gentlemen. Thank you for your time. We'll be right back.")

(Commercials)

(Announcers intro'd video from last week of the match between Nord and Bill Irwin where the winner got a slot in this week's 4-man elimination match. Video showed Nord pinning Irwin after hitting him with his flying leg drop finisher and then Nord left the ring and grabbed the steel chair that Irwin had brought to the ring, climbed back into the ring and beat the hell out of Irwin with it and the ref reversed the decision and awarded the match to Irwin.

Video then flipped showing Nord, still in his ring attire, standing in his locker room after the attack with mic in hand.

Nord: "Bill Irwin! How did that feel, son?! How did every single shot I delivered to your body with that chair feel?! Judging by your reaction it hurt like hell! But it felt great to me every time I bashed you with that damn chair! I don't care that I lost a possible shot at the TV title! Beating the living hell out of you was worth losing that opportunity! And I would do it all over again without giving it a second thought! Irwin! You never, ever should have messed with Nord! That's one of the worst things a man could ever do! You paid a heavy price for your actions! You learned one helluva painful life lesson! And you'd better think more than twice before tangling with me again! And there's one man I hope saw what I did to Bill Irwin! And his name is spelled Tommy Rich! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!")

(Video aired showing Steve O in action against several top WCW stars and coming close to victory in those matches but losing in the end.)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson interviewed Steve O.

CJ: "Please welcome my guest at this time. He is the best winless wrestler there is in our sport today, Steve O!"

'Hand Jive' by George Thorogood played and O came to the ring in street clothes. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. O acknowledged the crowd once in the ring.

CJ: "Steve O, you have to be arguably the unluckiest wrestler I have ever seen. You have come so close so many times to beating some of the major stars here in WCW, only to come up short in the end. It has to be frustrating."

O: "Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe it, Craig. I have fought with everything I had every time I've stepped in this ring. I have been this close (holds thumb and forefinger 1 inch apart) to winning on so many occasions. I'm almost at my wit's end. It's a terrible feeling to be on the verge of beating a Don Muraco or a Kamala or a Buff Bagwell and then have it slip through your fingers. I know I can compete with the best that World Class has to offer. I've proven that time and time again. I'm at a loss to explain it. But I'm confident that one day I will get that three count; I will get that win. And when I do, the sky will be the limit for me. I just need that first victory."

CJ: "It's good to see that you're remaining positive through all of this. A lesser man may have already thrown up his hands in defeat and gone into some other line of work. But all these fans and many of us who work for WCW want to see you become the winner that we know you can be."

O: "I appreciate the loyalty of all these fans and people like you, Craig. It means a lot. It's what keeps me going. The people believe in me. I'm sorry for teasing them on so many occasions only to walk out of the ring the loser. That win has to come and it has to come soon. It's hard to remain positive through a slump like this. I need the fans more than ever right now. You guys have been nothing but great to me when I've met you and signed autographs for you and everything. A win by me will also be a win for these fans out here."

CJ: "Have you thought about wrestling a tune-up match? You know, avoiding a top star and going out there and wrestling a beatable guy..."

O: "What the hell are you talking about, Craig? When I win I want it to mean something. Beating some lesser opponent does nothing for me. How does beating enhancement talent help me climb the ladder of success here in WCW?"

CJ: "Hey, I'm just saying that if you get that first win, even if it is against enhancement talent, it could be just the spark you need to really get the ball rolling for reversing your fortunes here."

O: "Look, man! When I win that first match, it will be against a top guy here! You got that, Johnson?!"

CJ: "I got the message loud and clear, Steve. You have to beat a Muraco or a Bagwell or a Zbysko or someone like that."

O: "That's right! I have driven these guys to the brink of defeat! How dare you question my ability to beat them!"

CJ: "Whoa! Whoa! I never questioned your ability to beat them!"

O: "You just did! You're insinuating that I can only beat lower level talent!""

CJ: "I never said that, Steve. C'mon!"

O: "That is what I heard!"

O was starting to get extremely frustrated.

O: "This interview is over! I did not come out here to be insulted! I'm done!"

CJ: "Steve. Wait."

O had started walking towards the ropes and stopped, placed his hands on his hips, looked down and shook his head 'no' and stormed out of the ring and headed back up the aisle to a stunned reaction from the fans.

CJ: "I'm not sure what just happened there, fans. That was Steve O. Back to Tony and Mark.")

(Announcers discussed the bizarre about face by Steve O during his interview and his storming to the back. Hyped still to come: 4-Man Elimination Match: Kid vs. Orton vs. Bagwell vs. Irwin. Said Larry Zbysko sees action next!)

(Commercials)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson interviewed Bob Orton and Buff Bagwell.

Both men were already standing with Hudson and each man was in his ring attire.

SH: "We're back on 'Mayhem' and with me are the other two men in the 4-man elimination match coming up later tonight, 'Cowboy' Bob Orton and 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell. The winner of the match gets a Tru TV Championship match against the title holder Rick Martel next week.

"Buff Bagwell, I notice that you have no ladies with you again."

BB: "That's because I haven't been gigoloing the last few weeks. I've been too busy preparing for some big matches recently. The Battle Royal; the Tru TV Title match I had a few weeks ago; and now this big match tonight."

SH: "Indeed, you and Rick Martel tore down the house in an exciting, dramatic match for the belt two weeks ago. You do deserve to be in this match tonight."

BB: "That's right. I do deserve to be in this match. The WCW Championship Committee clearly saw that I could have beaten Martel in our last meeting. And after I win this match tonight, it will be mission accomplished next week and Buff will be the stuff as I win the Tru TV Championship. And then, you'll see my ladies back in my corner. And it will have been money well spent by them to escort yours truly to the ring."

Buff flexed his arms.

SH: "Bob Orton. Earlier, the Dynamite Kid was out here and said he'd be on the lookout for your running mate, Larry Zbysko. What are your thoughts on Kid's comment?"

BO: "Scott Hudson, you have my word that Larry Zbysko is not going to get involved in the elimination match. He doesn't need to. I can get the job done on my own. Remember what a I did to Ric Flair several weeks ago? I beat him inside the steel cage."

SH: "With help from Zbysko."

BO (flustered): "You're just another cog in the conspiracy machine, aren't you, Hudson?"

SH: "What?"

BO: "I've talked about this before, man. The elites who sit in those big offices at World Class headquarters have it in for me and Zbysko. You are nothing more than a paid shill for them. You march to their orders. Zbysko and myself march to the beat of our own drum and the hotshots in the suits and ties don't like that. They're out to get us. The 'man' is holding us down. Dig it? The video and picture evidence you have that Zbysko handed me a foreign object to use on Ric Flair in our cage match has been tampered with."

SH: "Tampered with?! Oh, please, Bob!"

BO: "The WCW elites have gone out of their way to taint my victory over Ric Flair. That's all I'm gonna say on that matter. Bottom line is this: you've got no friends in a match like this.I'm going all-out to win. I want that Tru TV Title match with Rick Martel next week. And I'm not gonna need any help from Larry Zbysko or anyone else to get the job done this evening. I'm a finely-tuned wrestling machine. And not even that mouthy puke from England will be able to stop me tonight."

Orton and Bagwell walked out of the interview area.

SH: "Should be an interesting elimination match later on here on 'Mayhem'. Let's send it to the ring.")

Match 2

Larry Zbysko vs. Paul Diamond

(Diamond was already in the ring and announced.

'I'm The Man' by Anthrax played and Zbysko came to the ring to loud boos. He was wearing black tights and a black ring jacket with 'LZ' in gold lettering on the back and black boots with 'LZ' in gold lettering on the outside of each boot.

Diamond stunned Zbysko by giving him a battle before Zbysko took control of the match and finished off Diamond by making him tap out in the Larry Land Dreamer (guillotine choke).

WINNER: Zbysko - Submission - Larry Land Dreamer - 4:31)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson interviewed Larry Zbysko.

CJ: "Larry Zbysko. A win over Paul Diamond. And Mr. Diamond gave you a fight early on and came close to scoring the upset victory. Were you worried at all during the match?"

LZ: "What? Me worry? I wasn't worried at all, Craig. I had everything under control from the opening bell. Just because some jabroni gets a two count on me doesn't mean much. This is professional wrestling and those things happen sometimes. But I was never in any real danger."

CJ: "Ric Flair wrestled earlier tonight. He said he had other commitments and wouldn't be able to see your match. It's obvious that you and Flair still have major heat with each other. Do you think, with all the battles you two have been through with each other already here in WCW, that this situation will ever be settled?"

LZ: "First of all, Ric Flair is a liar!"

CJ: "A Liar? How so?"

LZ: "He said he had to leave early tonight because he had other things to do! That's bunk! The real reason that Ric Flair left early is because he fears Larry Zbysko!"

Crowd booed.

LZ: "Ric Flair may talk a big game! But he really doesn't want anything to do with me anymore! He's had enough! There may be bad blood between us! But from what I've heard, he's run to the WCW honchos and begged them to stop this feud pronto!"

CJ: "That sounds a little preposterous. I don't think there's any evidence that shows that Ric Flair is running from you. Who told you this?"

LZ: "That's none of your business! Your job is to stand here and ask me relevant questions and that was not a relevant question!"

CJ: "I don't think your feud with Flair is ending anytime soon."

LZ: "That was not a question! Ask me a valid, sensible question!"

CJ: "OK. Do you have any plans on getting involved in the 4-man elimination match that's coming up on behalf of Bob Orton?"

LZ: "No!"

Zbysko looks at a non-existent watch on his wrist.

LZ: "Look at that! Time's up for this interview. See ya."

Zbysko turned and left the ring and headed back up the aisle to boos.

CJ: "That was Larry Zbysko. The elimination match is coming up!)

(Announcers intro'd video from last week's match between Tito Santana and Don Muraco.

VIDEO: Both men got up and Tito hit Muraco with another dropkick and Muraco toppled through the top and middle rope down to the floor.

Crowd booed and Tito went over and started talking in animated fashion to the ref as Muraco watched from the floor.)

(Announcers said it was the second time that Muraco and Santana had wrestled each other and both times the match ended in a double count out. Said that next week on 'Mayhem', both Santana and Muraco would be there and WCW executive Jim Herd has an announcement for both men.)

Match 3 (4-Man Elimination Match - Winner gets a Tru TV Title shot against champ Rick Martel next week)

'Cowboy' Bob Orton vs. Dynamite Kid vs. 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell vs. 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin

(Before the match, Tru TV Champion Rick Martel was intro'd by ring announcer Craig Johnson as the guest commentator for the match. Martel got a good response coming out. He was in street clothes and carrying the TV Title cradled in his left arm. Martel went to the announcers table and shook hands with Madden and Schiavone and told the pair that he had a huge announcement to make before the title match next week. Announcers tried to get Martel to at least hint at what the announcement was but Martel wouldn't budge and everyone would have to tune in next week to find out.

'Nevada Fighter' by Mike Nesmith played and out came Irwin to a fair ovation. He was wearing only his blue jeans and cowboy-style wrestling boots and a t-shirt to cover the bruising from Nord's chair assault on him last week. Irwin slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. He got in the ring and was clearly still feeling the effects from last week.

'Call Me' by Blondie played and out came Buff Bagwell to pretty strong boos. Bagwell was only in his leg-length black tights and black wrestling boots. Buff got in the ring and briefly played to the crowd by striking some bodybuilder poses.

'London Calling' by The Clash filled the arena and out came the Dynamite Kid to a strong ovation. Kid was wearing his famous leg-length powder blue tights with the word 'Dynamite' in red lettering on the right leg and 'Kid' in red lettering on the left leg and red, white and blue boots. He slapped hands with a couple of fans but was clearly more focused on the match at hand. Kid jumped over the top rope and into the ring.

'Desperado' by Alice Cooper poured out of the p.a. system and out came Orton. Orton was wearing his black cowboy hat, black vest, black wrestling boots with white horseshoes on the outside of each and blue tights. Orton removed the hat and vest before making his way into the ring.

Announcers pointed out that only two men were legally allowed in the match at one time and they could tag in either wrestler on the outside.

Announcers said they would stay with the match until its conclusion.

Ref called for the bell to start the match and Kid and Bagwell were the first two men in the ring.

After some brief back and forth between Bagwell and Kid, Bagwell gained the upper hand and whipped Kid into the ropes and looked to catch Kid coming off with a clothesline but Kid ducked the move and came back with a flying headbutt that dropped Bagwell. Kid grabbed Bagwell and whipped Bagwell into the ropes and caught Bagwell coming off with a flying lariat that sent Buff crashing to the mat. Kid for the cover. 1...2... Buff kicked out. Kid snapped up Bagwell and went to suplex Bagwell but Buff twice blocked the move, caught Kid with a punch to the ribs and nailed Kid with a slingshot suplex. Buff then blasted Kid with a jumping elbow smash and went for the cover. 1...2... Kid kicked out. Buff got up and caught Kid in a front facelock and popped Kid with a swinging neckbreaker. Kid crashed to the mat and rolled over and tagged in Irwin.

Buff backed up and gestured for Irwin to get in the ring. Irwin climbed in slowly and was obviously still hurting. Buff and Irwin circled one another and engaged in a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Buff drove Irwin into the buckles and drove his knee several times into Irwin's rib cage. Irwin walked out of the corner holding the top rope and dropped to a knee. Buff kicked Irwin repeatedly in the exposed ribs and Irwin went down and basically covered up and was holding his ribs. Ref ordered Buff back and checked on Irwin. Irwin slowly and painfully started making his way to his feet and waved the ref off when the ref asked if he wanted to quit. Ref ordered the match to continue. Buff nailed Irwin with a couple of punches to the ribs and then Irwin suddenly struck back with a punch to the head that stunned Bagwell. Irwin then started firing away on Buff with more punches but then suddenly grabbed his ribs and Buff was able to drop Irwin with a clothesline. Buff snapped up Irwin and drove Irwin hard back-first into the buckles and then peppered Irwin with a rapid-fire series of shoulder blocks into the mid-section that left Irwin in worse shape. Irwin staggered out of the corner and Buff charged up behind Irwin and nailed Irwin with a face buster. Buff for the cover. 1...2...2-1/2... Irwin kicked out. Irwin rolled over onto his side and Buff dropped an elbow square into Irwin's rib cage. Buff pulled Irwin up and locked Irwin in an abdominal stretch which did wonders for Irwin's bruised and battered upper body. Irwin in great pain. As the ref checked on Irwin to see if he wanted to submit, Buff took the opportunity to grab the top rope to add extra leverage to the hold and increase Irwin's pain. Buff let go of the top rope just before the ref looked over. Ref again looked to see if Irwin could continue and once again Buff grabbed the top rope. Ref looked over and saw Buff was holding the top rope. Ref ordered a break and when Buff didn't break immediately the ref kicked Buff's hand off the top rope and Irwin was able to hip-toss his way out of the hold. Irwin fell back against the ropes and was holding his ribs. Buff got to his feet and moved in on Irwin and Irwin kicked Buff twice in the gut and then found the strength to fire away on Buff with a series of head shots. Irwin then grabbed Buff and went to ram Buff's head into the top buckle but Buff got his foot up and blocked the attempt and instead rammed Irwin's head into his boot. Irwin staggered back holding his head. Buff moved in on Irwin and nailed Irwin with a double sledge to the left side of the ribs. Irwin in pain, grabbing his ribs and walking away from Buff but Buff stalked Irwin and nailed him with another double sledge to the ribs. Irwin still on his feet but in great pain. Buff methodically hit Irwin with another double sledge to the side of the ribs. This time Irwin fell against the ropes and his right arm was hanging over the top rope. Ref ordered Buff to step back. Ref checked on Irwin and asked if he wanted to quit. Irwin shook his head and said 'no'. Ref ordered the match to continue. Irwin moved away from the ropes and Buff plowed into him with a fourth double sledge to the ribs. This time, Irwin crashed to the mat and Buff covered him and hooked the leg. 1...2...2--3/4... Irwin barely kicked out. Buff snapped up Irwin, whipped Irwin into the ropes and bent down and looked to catch Irwin coming off with a back drop but Irwin stunned Buff by catching him in a sunset flip for the pin. 1...2...3! Crowd erupted. Even though Irwin won, he fell back over on the mat and Buff popped to his feet and started stomping the hell out of Irwin. Kid hit the ring and tackled Buff to the mat. Buff escaped Kid's grasp and rolled out of the ring and dropped to the floor and Kid followed him out.

ELIMINATION #1 - Bagwell - Pinfall - Sunset Flip by Irwin - 7:43

Bob Orton quickly climbed into the ring and picked up right where Bagwell had left off and stomped the hell out of Irwin. Orton covered Irwin and went for the cover. 1...2... Irwin kicked out. Orton snapped up Irwin and bodyslammed Irwin into position for a turnbuckle move. Orton mounted the middle buckle facing the crowd and came off with a slingshot splash but Irwin rolled into the corner and Orton crashed to the mat. Both men down. Both men stirred and made it to their feet. Orton turned around and was nailed with a bicycle kick to the face by Irwin. Orton crashed to the mat and so did Irwin. Irwin writhing in pain and holding his ribs. Irwin slowly crawled over and covered Orton and hooked the leg. 1...2...2-3/4... Orton kicked out. Crowd groaned. Irwin rolled over and was holding his side. Orton got up and stomped Irwin in the ribs and then picked Irwin up and nailed Irwin with a backbreaker for a turnbuckle move. Orton again mounted the middle buckle and came off with another slingshot splash attempt and this one connected. Orton covered Irwin and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell. Kid, who was back on the apron after having run off Bagwell, jumped into the ring.

ELIMINATION #2 - Irwin - Pinfall - Slingshot Splash by Orton - 10:15

Kid charged at Orton and Orton went to punch Kid but Kid blocked the punch and nailed Orton with a series of European uppercuts. Kid then whipped Orton into the ropes and caught Orton coming off with a leg lariat that dropped Orton. Orton got up and Kid caught Orton from behind and blasted him with a German suplex into a bridgeout for the pin. 1...2...2-1/2... Orton kicked out. Orton got up and Kid caught Orton with a kick to the gut and blasted Orton with a gutwrench suplex. Kid then ran and jumped on the middle rope and came off with a lionsault that connected. Kid for the cover. 1...2... Orton got a shoulder up. Kid grabbed Orton and whipped Orton into the buckles. Kid charged in and looked to nail Orton with a running high knee to the chest but Orton moved and Kid slammed knee-first into the top buckle. Kid crashed to the mat. Orton, on his knees, nailed the downed Kid with some head shots. Orton then nailed Kid with a suplex. Kid got to his feet and Orton shoved Kid front-first into the buckles. Kid turned around and Orton popped him with a series of bionic elbows to the top of the head and then grabbed Kid in a side headlock and went and popped Kid with a running bulldog. Orton for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2... Kid kicked out. Kid got to his knees and Orton caught Kid in a side headlock. Kid got to his feet and countered with a belly-to-back suplex. Both men down. Orton got up as Kid was getting up and Orton nailed Kid with a trio of elbows to the back of the neck and then went to backslide Kid but Kid reversed and backslid Orton for the pin. 1...2...2-7/8... Orton kicked out. Kid grabbed Orton and went to whip Orton into the ropes but Orton reversed and caught Kid coming off with a powerslam. Orton snapped up Kid and hoisted Kid up and dropped Kid on the top buckle. Orton mounted the middle buckle preparing to nail Kid with his superplex finisher. Orton popped Kid in the head with a punch and Kid stunned Orton with a series of rapid-fire headbutts that sent Orton toppling to the mat. Kid stayed on the middle buckle as Orton got to his feet and Kid plastered Orton with a flying lariat. Orton got to his feet and Kid popped Orton with a dropkick that sent Orton crashing back to the mat. Kid grabbed Orton's legs and flipped over on Orton for the pin. 1...2...2-9/10... Orton kicked out. Kid then grabbed Orton and nailed Orton with three straight brutal snap suplexes. Larry Zbysko, still in his ring attire, charged down to the ring and started pounding on the mat and cheering on Orton as Kid climbed out on the apron. Ref came over and ordered Zbysko to leave ringside. Kid just looking on as Zbysko and the ref argued. Orton still down in the ring. Zbysko had a few more words with the ref and then threw up his hands in surrender and started backing up into the aisle. Ref kept an eye on Zbysko as Kid mounted the top buckle. Kid came off with his diving headbutt finisher but Orton rolled out of the way and Kid slammed head-first into the mat. Kid rolled over on his back and was grabbing his head Orton crawled over and covered Kid and hooked the leg. 1...2...thr... NO! Kid kicked out. Fans cheering. Orton quickly got up and hit Kid with a fist drop to the head. Kid seemed to have the fight drain from him. Orton hoisted up Kid and dropped Kid on the top buckle. Orton clocked Kid once in the head and then nailed Kid with his superplex finisher. Orton covered Kid and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Madden: "Tony, a lot of people aren't going to like what I'm about to say. If Larry Zbysko doesn't come to the ring and distract Kid for those few precious seconds then Orton loses the match! Zbysko never interfered! But just his presence cost Kid and gave the victory to Orton! Absolutely brilliant!"

Zbysko applauded Orton while standing in the aisle. Orton had his hand raised in victory and then went over by the ropes to the area where Martel was sitting. Orton made the gesture of the title around his waist. Orton then left the ring and met up with Zbysko in the aisle and Orton raised his hands victoriously in the air to strong boos.

Announcers hyped for next week: Tru TV Championship: Martel © vs. Orton; a major announcement from Rick Martel; and Jim Herd has something to say to Tito Santana and Don Muraco.

WINNER: Orton - Pinfall - Superplex on Kid - 17:19)

Trying to wrap my head around Wild Bill Irwin as a sorta fan favorite.

Heel Steve O.? Trying to picture Steve O getting all riled up and some how I still see him never raising his voice or showing any sort of energy.
