- The Orndorff-Nord matches were said to be the show stealers each night with Flair vs. Zbysko a close second.

Okay I'm trying hard to wrap my head around Nord the Barbarian being a show stealer, Orndorff had to have been working his butt off and Flair and Zbyszko had to be in comas for this to happen:D

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 37 - ALLEN, TX - ALLEN EVENT CENTER - 12-29-15 (Live)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Video aired from the Flair (WC)-Zbysko World Title match from last week.

VIDEO:

Flair grabbed Zbysko, whipped Zbysko into the ropes and caught Zbysko coming off with a flying forearm shiver to the side of the head. Zbysko crashed to the mat. Flair backed up as Zbysko got to his feet. Zbysko got up and Flair charged at Zbysko and went to jump on Zbysko but Zbysko caught Flair and nailed Flair with a shin breaker. Flair went down as Zbysko held onto Flair's left leg.

Schiavone: "Zbysko's gonna try and beat Flair with Flair's signature move!"

Zbysko started to wrap Flair up in the figure four when Flair reached up and rolled up Zbysko in a small package for the pin. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the crowd erupted.

Zbysko was in disbelief as Flair got to his feet. Ref went over and took the title from Craig Johnson and spoke to Johnson briefly. Ref went over and raised Flair's hand in victory and handed Flair the title.

Fans cheering as Flair, belt slung over his shoulder, started walking to each side of the ring and saluting the fans. As Flair was facing away from the entrance aisle, Buff Bagwell, in his black sweat pants and ring boots, charged down the aisle and snuck into the ring. Buff waited for Flair to turn around. When Flair did, Buff nailed Flair with his running forearm smash to the head. Flair crashed to the mat and dropped the belt. Buff mounted the middle buckle as the dazed Flair made his way to his feet. Flair got up and turned around and Buff blasted Flair with his Buff Blockbuster (diving neckbreaker) finisher. Buff covered Flair and hooked the leg and yelled at the ref to count. Ref dropped down and counted. 1...2...3! Buff got up and started jumping up and down. Buff then ordered the ref to raise his hand in victory. Ref did so. Buff then picked up the World Title and held it up with both hands as Flair was still down. Buff then left the ring and dropped to the floor and slung the belt over his shoulder and headed back up the aisle to boos as the program faded to black.)

(In-ring:

'Call Me' By Blondie filled the arena and 'American Gigolo' Buff Bagwell, in his black sweat suit and carrying a mic, made his way to the ring to strong boos. He had the World Title slung over his shoulder.

Buff got in the ring and climbed on the middle buckle and held the belt aloft to more boos. Buff then walked to the middle of the ring and briefly soaked in the crowd reaction.

BB: "Ric Flair's World Title reign is over after just 10 days! The 'Era of the Gigolo' has arrived! I can't tell you how it felt to become the new WCW World Champion! When the ref's hand hit the mat the third time, I realized a life-long dream! It was a great Christmas for yours truly! I never realized being the World Champion came with so many perks! I haven't had to pay for a drink or a meal all week! I've been invited on talk shows to talk about how I took down the legendary Ric Flair! Whoo! Haha! And my gigoloing business, man, once women realized they had a chance to get down and dirty with the new WCW World Champion, they wouldn't leave me alone! I made more money last week at my other job than I usually make in three months! I barely got any sleep! All those ladies now have a story to tell their friends about the time they spent with the World Champion!

"I want to let all of you know that I will be a fighting champion! I'll put the belt on the line against all comers! I don't care who they are! This will be a World Title reign that you people can be very proud of! I still have to pinch myself to make sure it really happened! Buff is gonna be the stuff as the World Champion!"

Tony Garea of the WCW Championship Committee made his way to the ring. He was in a suit and had a mic.

TG: "Hold it right there, Buff!"

Garea climbed into the ring.

BB: "Did you come out here to congratulate the new champion, Garea?! Well, congratulate away!"

TG: "I did not come out here to congratulate you."

BB: "Why not? I beat Ric Flair to win the World Title."

TG: "You did not beat Ric Flair. You assaulted Ric Flair after his title defense against Larry Zbysko. That doesn't make you the World Champion."

BB: "But...I covered Flair and the ref made the three count! I'm the champion!"

TG: "You intimidated the ref into making the three count after you laid Flair out. Now, hand the belt over, Buff."

BB: "I'm not handing the belt over! I...won...it! Everyone saw me win it!"

TG: "If that's the way you want to play then that's up to you. But, I have been given the power by the WCW Executive Committee to level a fine against you if you don't voluntarily surrender the belt right now."

BB: "How much is the fine if I don't 'surrender' the title."

TG: "$1,000 dollars."

BB: "A grand?! That's it?! I'll have the fine paid before the show's over!"

TG: "Let me clarify. It's $1,000 dollars...for every day you don't return the World Title."

BB: "A thousand bucks a day! What the... A thousand dollars a day..."

Buff started running the figures through his head.

BB: "Here!"

Buff handed over the title.

TG: "Ric Flair is not here tonight. But we have been keeping in contact with him and he's steaming mad at what transpired last week with you."

BB: "So I'm getting a World Title shot, then?"

TG: "Maybe."

BB: "What do you mean, maybe?!"

TG: "Buff, we have decided that next week, you will be wrestling in a #1 Contender's match. A contract will be hung high above the ring and it will be a ladder match."

Crowd popped.

BB: "A ladder match?! Who's my opponent for this match?!"

TG: "Your opponent in the ladder match will be...'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff!"

More cheers from the crowd.

BB: "Paul Orndorff?! The guy's only been here a month!"

TG: "The championship committee had a long discussion about this matter and decided that Orndorff would be your opponent. That's final! Hope you're not afraid of heights, Buff!"

Garea turned and left the ring and headed back up the aisle as an unhappy Buff stalked around the ring.)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers. Talked about the ladder match made for next week. Then ran down the program: Tru TV Championship: Steve O (TVC) vs. Tito Santana; World Tag Team Champions Sheik's Army see action; and more. Said a 3-on-1 Handicap match featuring Nord The Barbarian was coming up!)

Match 1 (3-on-1 Handicap Match)

Nord The Barbarian vs. The Batten Twins & Jerry Allen

(Battens and Allen were already in the ring and introduced.

'Deaf Forever' by Motorhead played and Nord stomped out on the entrance stage and was holding his big chain high in the air. Nord was in his black tights with the word 'Berzerker' written in white lightning bolt lettering, fur-lined boots and his fur-lined vest. Nord got in the ring and stomped around some more and continued waving the chain in the air. He was booed. Nord placed his chain over the top ring bolt in the corner that connects the buckle to the post.

Tag out rules applied for the 3-man team.

Complete destruction on the part of Nord. Nord and Allen were the legal men in the ring at the end of the match. Nord finished off Allen with his flying leg drop finisher to score the pinfall victory. The Battens got in the ring to check on Allen as Nord grabbed his chain and menaced the pair. The Battens bailed to the floor.

Nord yelled and was picked up on a mic:

Nord: "Don't forget your partner!"

Nord dropped the chain and picked up Allen in the press position. Nord ran towards the ropes and hurled Allen over the top rope down onto the Batten twins. All three men down on the floor as Nord stomped around the ring.

WINNER: Nord - Pinfall - Flying Leg Drop - 3:42)

(Post--Match: Craig Johnson interviewed Nord.

CJ: "Nord The Barbarian! Another brutal display here on 'Mayhem!'"

Nord: "Those three pieces of crap don't even deserve to be in the same ring with me! Did whoever put this match together really think those three clowns could be beat me if they were a team?! Ha! I show no mercy to the weak!"

CJ: "Did you hear the news about next week?"

Nord: "If you're talking about Paul Orndorff in a #1 Contender's match I did! Why the hell is getting a chance at a World Title shot?! I've been here since WCW began! You know how many title matches I've gotten?!"

CJ: "How many?"

Nord: "Zero! That's how many! I've left a path of destruction in my wake! I should be considered a serious title contender! They won't even consider me! But they give Johnny-come-lately Orndorff a chance to win the big belt after being here just a few weeks! What a bunch of crap?! Paul Orndorff does not deserve to be considered a contender for the Tiddlywinks Championship, let alone the biggest championship in our sport! It's an outrage and I'm not gonna stand for it!"

CJ: "You've challenged Orndorff to a re-match."

Nord: "That's right! I'm not letting Orndorff get away with that move he performed on me to win our match at 'Season's Beatings'! I promise you that the next time we meet the end result will be different!"

Nord picked up his chain Valhalla and held it up.

Nord: "Next time, Orndorff! You'll feel the wrath of Valhalla! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!"

CJ: "That's Nord The Barbarian. Let's send it back to Scott Hudson!")

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Later tonight, the Tru Tv Championship will be on the line. And Steve O, you will be defending it against the man who beat you last week in one Tito Santana."

O and mgr. Jimmy Hart walked into the interview area. O was in his ring attire and Hart was in a suit and carrying his megaphone. O had the title around his waist.

O: "Tito Santana may have bested me last week! But I've still got the championship around my waist! Tito Santana, you might want to bring a camera to the ring, boy, and take a picture of it! Because it's the closest you're gonna get to having it!"

JH: "That's right, baby! Tito, you caught one on Steve O! But don't think you'll catch another one on us! It was a non-title match! Now it's for all the marbles! You're not gonna see a repeat! When the belt's on the line, Steve O amps up his game like no one's business! The title's staying with the First Family!"

SH: "I notice that 'Big' Bubba Rogers is not with you. Is he here tonight?"

JH: "Of course he's here, Hudson! Bubba's the First Family's protection! He'll be at ringside with me to make sure that Tito doesn't try and cheat to win!"

Hudson rolled his eyes.

O: "This belt is out property! Bubba protects the First Family and our assets! This belt is a prime asset of ours and it's gonna stay in our possession! Santana! Congratulations on your win last week! It's the only you're gonna get against Steve O!"

SH: "It's Steve O defending the Tru TV Championship against Tito Santana in our main event later tonight! When we come back, the World Tag Team Champions the Sheik's Army will be in action!")

Match 2 (Non-Title Match)

Sheik's Army (WTTC) vs. Ed Gantner & Terry Daniels

(Gantner & Daniels were already in the ring and announced.

'Cry of the Vatos' played as Kamala, Abdullah, Kimchee and El-Kaissey made their way to the ring to boos. Kamala and Abdullah each had a tag title slung over their shoulder. Kamala was in his loin cloth print, had symbols painted on his body and face and was wearing his African tribal mask. Abdullah was in his orange pants with black stripe down each side and black pointed toe boots. Kimchee was in his African safari gear, pith helmet, white wrestling mask with brown trim and carrying a riding crop. Kaissey was in an expensive suit and the typical Arab male headwear. The four climbed into the ring. Kimchee removed Kam's African tribal mask and he and El-Kaissey had a few words with them before heading out to the floor.

Gantner and Daniels surprised the champs early with some offense, but Kam and Abby gained the advantage and took control of the match. Abdullah finished off Daniels with a headbutt that dropped Daniels to the mat and then nailed Daniels with jumping double foot stomp to the gut followed by an elbow smash to the chest to score the pinfall victory.

Abdullah stayed on top of Daniels and Gantner stayed in the corner as Kam, Kimchee and El-Kaissey climbed into the ring. Kimchee waved the riding crop in Abby's face and Abby got up off the defeated Daniels. Gantner moved in and pulled Daniels out of the way and into the corner. The ref gestured that Kamala and Abdullah were the winners and handed the belts to Kimchee. Kimchee gave the men their belts and gestured for them to sling them over their shoulders.

WINNER: Sheik's Army - Pinfall - Abdullah pinned Daniels after a Jumping Double Foot Stomp and Elbow Smash - 4:18)

(Post-match: Craig Johnson interviewed Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey as Kimchee held Kamala and Abdullah at bay to keep them from going after Johnson.

CJ: "Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, your men Kamala and Abdullah scored an impressive victory at 'Season's Beatings' over the Long Riders to become the first WCW World Tag Team Champions. Do you think your team's reign will be one of terror?"

AK: "Craig Johnson! You may think that I'm offended by the use of the word 'terror' but I am not! Every team that challenges the Sheik's Army for the tag team titles will have our reign of terror unleashed upon them! They will suffer greatly and the revolution will continue to pick up momentum until we become the greatest force the wrestling world has ever seen! We will run from no one! Our righteous wrath will be felt by anyone who dares to step in the ring with us! It has been decreed from on high! These infidels out here may hate us! But you cannot stop an army of Allah! We know what we fight for! You people are decadent and soft! We fight the good and just fight! All others fight for filth and degeneracy! Allah Akbar!"

Abdullah took his belt and started biting the top center of it.

CJ: "Is Abdullah trying to eat the belt?!"

Kimchee got Abdullah to stop.

AK: "You make jokes, infidel Johnson! But in the end the joke will be on people like you!"

CJ: "The Sheik's Army, everyone.")

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

Tito Santana was already in the interview area and in his ring attire.

SH: "I'm standing here with Tito Santana. Tito, you beat Tru Tv Champion Steve O last week in a non-title match. Can lightning strike twice and this time you walk out of the ring with the TV title around your waist?"

TS: "Scott, I'm confident that lightning can strike twice. I took Steve O's best shot last week and still beat him. Now, I have the chance to become the Tru TV Champion. Jimmy Hart's First Family always has the numbers on their side. Hart brings that bodyguard of his out to cause trouble. Hart wants the TV Title protected at all costs. Well, I'm gonna have someone in my corner to keep an eye on the big man."

Rick Martel, in street clothes, walked into the interview area.

SH: "Rick Martel! You'll be in Tito's corner tonight. Last week, you brawled with Bubba Rogers. Could we see a repeat tonight?!"

RM: "I'll do what I have to do to make sure Tito has the best chance to win and become the new TV Champion! For me, the situation with the First Family is very personal! I'm gonna fight these guys at every turn! I'm gonna look to make their lives as miserable as possible! And the man I want to see wallowing in abject misery more than any other is Jimmy Hart!"

TS: "Scott, I can't think of a better guy to have in my corner! Ariba!"

Martel and Santana walked out of the interview area.

SH: "Should be an exciting main event we've got lined up here on 'Mayhem' and it's coming up next!")

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: World Title #1 Contender's Ladder Match: Paul Orndorff vs. Buff Bagwell; Tommy Rich vs. Larry Zbysko; an appearance by Dynamite Kid; and more! Then sent it to the ring.)

Match 1

'Long Rider' Scott Irwin vs. The X Factor

'Flirtin' With Disaster' by Molly Hatchet filled the arena and Long Rider Scott Irwin made his way to the ring to a good ovation. He was in a black trenchcoat, blue jeans, cowboy-style wrestling boots and blue bandana on his head. He acknowledged the crowd once in the ring.

'I Heard It On The X' by ZZ Top filled the arena and X Factor came to the ring to loud boos. X was in his red, white and black tie-dyed body tight with an 'X' spray painted on the front, Black boots with red trim, black gloves and a black mask with red trim and a red 'X' over the eyes. He feigned like he was gonna slap hands on the way to the ring and then pulled his hand back and pointed and laughed at the fans. X played to the crowd briefly once in the ring.

Ref called for the bell.

The two men came out of their corners and engaged in a punch exchange and X gained the advantage and whipped Scott into the ropes and looked to catch Scott coming off with a clothesline but Scott ducked the move and came back and nailed X with a clothesline and X crashed to the mat. A wobbly X got to his feet and Scott whipped X into the ropes and caught X coming off with a kick to the chest. X went down again. X got up and Scott caught X in a front facelock and prepared to blast X with his impaler DDT finisher but X quickly drove Scott back-first into the buckles and then popped Scott with a rapid-fire series of shoulder blocks to the gut. X went to whip Scott into the opposite buckles but Scott reversed. Scott charged in and X caught Scott with a boot to the face. Scott went down. X hit Scott with a knee drop to the chest. X got up, grabbed the top rope and started stomping away on Scott. X snapped up Scott and snapmared Scott over into a rear chinlock with his knee placed firmly in Scott's back. X drove a knee into Scott's back. X grabbed Scott in a front facelock and went for a DDT but Scott blocked the move and X crashed to the mat. X got up and Scott caught X with another kick to the chest and X fell back against the ropes. Scott whipped X into the ropes and looked to catch X coming off with a backdrop but X caught Scott with a kick to the chest. Scott stumbled back and X hit the ropes and charged at Scott and Scott stunned X by hitting him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Scott for the cover. 1...2... X kicked out. Scott nailed the downed X with some head shots, grabbed X and picked him up and nailed him with a gutbuster across the knee. X down. As Scott went to pick X up, X suddenly took Scott down with a legdive takedown and locked Scott into the STF. X with the hold firmly locked on. Scott struggled to crawl to the ropes. X tightened up on the hold but Scott was finally able to get close enough to the ropes to get his hand on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. X got up and put the boots to Scott and dragged Scott away from the ropes and caught Scott in the camel clutch submission. Scott again fighting not to submit. (Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Welcome back to 'Mayhem'. I'm Scott Hudson. Please welcome my guest at this time...Paul Orndorff."

Orndorff walked into the interview area in his ring attire.

SH: "Paul, tonight you're facing Buff Bagwell in a ladder match where the winner will receive a World Title shot against Ric Flair. What are your thoughts heading into this big match?"

PO: "I'm really looking forward to the opportunity, Scott. To have a chance to earn a shot against the legendary Ric Flair with the World Title on the line is exciting to say the least. I know it's gonna be tough. Buff Bagwell can wrestle."

SH: "Have you ever been in a ladder match before?"

PO: "No, I haven't. This will be a real challenge for me. But, Bagwell and I are gonna fight tooth-and-nail to get that contract that will be suspended high above the ring to get that championship match."

SH: "Many people say that a ladder match is one of the most dangerous matches in wrestling. You can use the ladder as a weapon. You can be pushed off the ladder and fall from great heights. Does that bother you at all?"

PO: "You think about stuff like that. No one wants to get seriously hurt in this business but it does happen. But once you step through those ropes you just have to push that stuff out of your mind and be ready to go. A key to being a winning wrestler is realizing that your career could end in a flash and just accepting that as a hazard of the job. You just can't dwell on it. I'm ready tonight. I'm just gonna go out there and rock 'n' roll and let the chips fall where they may."

SH: "That was Paul Orndorff. Back to ringside with Tony and Mark.")

Match 2

Zbysko got in the ring and stood in his corner.

'Rocky Top' played and the fans popped for Tommy Rich. Rich was in his black tights with flames on the lower half of them, boots that were flaming (not literally) and a 'Wildfire' t-shirt. Rich slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

Zbysko took the mic from ring announcer Craig Johnson.

LZ: "Tonight, I begin my ascension back to the top here in WCW! In the near future, I will once again be in my rightful place! And that's as the WCW World Champion! Tommy Rich, you're my first stepping stone back to the Promised Land!"

Zbysko handed the mic back to Johnson.

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "We are back here on 'Mayhem'. My guest at this time is Buff Bagwell."

Bagwell walked into the interview area in his ring attire.

SH: "Buff, tonight you are facing Paul Orndorff in a #1 Contender's Ladder match with the winner getting a World Title shot against Ric Flair."

BB: "Scott, tonight's match is fitting. A ladder match. To win, you have to climb up a ladder and grab the contract dangling above the ring. Climbing that ladder and grabbing that contract represents me climbing to the top of the mountain here in WCW.

"The week that I was the World Champion was the greatest of my life..."

SH: "I would hardly call attacking Ric Flair after he'd just wrestled a match, laying him out and ordering the referee to count the pinfall as winning the World Title in most peoples' eyes."

BB: "Who cares what you think. As far as I'm concerned, I pinned the World Champion in the ring and was the new champion before I was unjustly stripped of the title. Winning this ladder match tonight against Paul Orndorff will move me one giant step closer to winning the World Title officially or something to that effect."

SH: "You're facing a tough opponent in Paul Orndorff. What's your opinion of him as a wrestler."

BB: "He's very good. Make no mistake about that, man. But he's not Buff Bagwell and he just doesn't have the stuff Buff has. That will be the difference in this match. I am the total package in this sport. That will be on display for the people to see and Orndorff will be the victim of my greatness."

SH: "That was Buff Bagwell. He's very confident heading into our main event later tonight.")

(In-ring: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "Fans! Would you please welcome my guest at this time...the Dynamite Kid!"

'London Calling' by The Clash played and out came Kid to a good ovation. He was in street clothes. Kid slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. Kid acknowledged the crowd once in the ring.

CJ: "Dynamite, we saw it earlier tonight. For the second time in the last three weeks, you ripped the mask off the X Factor in an effort to expose his true identity. But once again the X Factor escaped with his identity still shrouded in mystery because he was wearing a second mask."

DK: "He's a slippery guy, that X factor. I've unmasked him two times now and we still have no idea who he really is. Just know this. I'm gonna keep coming after the X Factor and I will unmask him one day and he won't be able to hide his identity any longer."

CJ: "Any thoughts on who you think might be under that mask?"

DK: "His ring style is different from anyone I've wrestled before. His finisher, called the reverse STO, is one I've never seen anyone use before. Honestly, I have no idea who it is."

CJ: "We're all hoping that you do succeed in unmasking him because everyone is dying to know who's under there."

DK: "Well, he deserves to be unmasked."

CJ: "Changing the subject, you've had a great run since you started here in World Class. Are you starting to think about challenging for a championship here?"

DK: "Championships are what this business revolves around, Craig. I'm always thinking about getting title shots. Right now, my friend Ric Flair is the World Champion. But I would love to match up with him in this game of human chess that we call professional wrestling with the World Title on the line. Also, I'm always open to challenging for the Tru TV Championship and the World Tag Team Titles with my partner Tommy Rich. As for the TV Title, I would love to get my hands on that scumbag Steve O. He deserves a major arse kicking and to lose that belt as far as I'm concerned."

CJ: "Dynamite, I know I hope to see you in a championship match very soon. You deserve it and would be a serious threat to any belt holder here in WCW. And please rip that mask off the X Factor."

DK: "All in good time, my friend. All in good time."

CJ: "The Dynamite Kid, everyone! The World Title #1 Contender's ladder match between Paul Orndorff and Buff Bagwell is coming up next!")

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 39 - JACKSON, TN - OMAN ARENA - 1-12-15 (Live)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: 3-Way Dance for the WCW World Tag Team Titles: Sheik's Army (WTTC) vs. Dynamite Kid & Tommy Rich vs. The Long Riders; Bob Orton vs. Tito Santana; a look back at last week's World Title #1 Contender's Ladder match between Paul Orndorff and Buff Bagwell and post-match comments from the two particiapnts as well as Nord The Barbarian; and more!)

(In-ring:

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' filled the arena and the crowd popped as Ric Flair came to the ring. Flair was in a suit and carrying the World Title cradled in his left arm. Flair got in the ring and briefly styled-and-profiled for the cheering throng. Flair had a mic.

RF: "Tonight, Jackson, Tennessee is Flair Country! Whoo!

"You know, a lot of unexpected twists and turns can happen in this business! We saw one last week at the end of the #1 contender's ladder match! In a fair and just world, next week I would be defending the World Title again Orndorff! But, thanks to Nord The Barbarian, I'm facing Buff Bagwell instead! Nord, I feel sorry for you, pal! You are about to face the wrath of an angry Orndorff! And I sincerely hope that he kicks your ass!"

Cheers.

RF: "As for Buff Bagwell! Buff, you want to attack me after a match and then pretend you're the World Champion?! Well, I hope you enjoyed your imaginary one-week title reign! As far as I'm concerned, it's the only run as World Champion you're gonna get! Now, you have to face the champion like a man...in an actual match! No sneak attack this time; I am ready for you! And just remember this! You have to pin me or make me submit! That's easier said than done! I make no secret of it, I love being the World Champion! This belt says you're the best! I have worked my ass off my entire career to be the World Champion! I conquered the NWA, WCW and the WWE and won their World Titles! Now, I'm the man here in World Class Wrestling! And you know the saying: Buff, to be the man, you've got to beat the man! Whoo!"

Crowd booed as Buff Bagwell, in his black sweatsuit, made his way to the ring with mic in hand. Buff got in the ring and started pacing around.

BB: "Ric! I am gonna beat the man when we meet next week to become the man! You got that?! I showed everyone what I could do to you three weeks ago! In just seven days I will make it official! You brag about winning all these World Titles! You have a trophy case at home full of gold! I'm gonna start my own trophy case next week with the gold that you're holding right now!"

RF: "Talk is cheap, brother! Your actions next Tuesday will speak louder than any words you could ever say!"

BB: "My actions will be deafening when we step into the ring! I've got your number, Ric! I'm gonna to be the man who beats you! Where others have failed, I will succeed! Because Buff has the stuff your other opponents just don't have!"

RF: "Buff, I have faced the best this sport has had to offer with the 10 pounds of gold on the line! Take a number, pal, and get in line! I know that every night I put the belt on the line could be my last night as champion! You don't intimidate me! That attack on me three weeks ago has only taken my determination to a higher level to make sure this belt never lands in your hands!"

BB: "You brought up earlier how I beat Paul Orndorff last week because of Nord! I beat Orndorff because I was the better man! And I'm gonna enjoy making you eat those words!"

RF: "You need to be careful about what you say, Buff! Because it might be you who's eating something more than words next week! Whoo!"

Buff spun around and kicked Ric in the gut and Flair dropped the title and mic. Buff whipped Flair into the ropes and dropped Flair coming off with a clothesline. Buff picked up the belt as Flair got to his feet and charged Flair and nailed Flair in the face with the belt and Flair went back down. Buff picked up his mic and stood over Flair.

BB: 'You're finished next week, Flair!"

Buff then dropped the title on the downed Flair, tossed his mic and turned and left the ring and soaked in the boos briefly before heading back up the aisle.)

(Announcers discussed Buff attacking Flair again and leaving Flair laying. Said next week they would square off for the title on 'Mayhem'. Said Bob Orton vs. Tito Santana was coming up!)

Orton for the cover. 1...2.. Tito kicked out. Hart recovering at ringside. Orton got up and put the boots to Tito. Tito rolled over by the ropes. Orton grabbed Tito by the legs and maneuvered him around and catapaulted Tito throat-first into the bottom rope. Ref ordered Orton back since Tito's head was on the apron. As Orton had words with the ref, Hart removed his tie and came over and briefly strangled Tito.

Tito scooted back in the ring under the bottom rope and Orton bent down over Tito and hit him with a few head shots. Orton pulled up Tito and whipped Tito into the ropes and caught Tito coming off with a powerslam. Orton picked up Tito and nailed Tito with a backbreaker across the knee. Tito reached in between the ropes and pulled Orton back into the ring and went to hoist Orton up for a suplex but Orton blocked the move, spun Tito around and rammed Tito hard back-first into the buckles. Tito stumbled out of the corner and went down to a knee. Orton then nailed Tito in the head with a couple of punches and then hoisted Tito up and dropped Tito on the top buckle. Orton mounted the middle buckle and blasted Tito with his superplex finisher. Orton covered Tito and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Orton got to his feet and the ref raised his hand in victory. Hart got in the ring and was jumping around. Tito started slowly making it to his feet as Bubba Rogers charged down the aisle and climbed into the ring and attacked Tito as Orton joined in. The two were beating up Tito when Rick Martel, in street clothes, charged down the aisle with baseball bat in hand. Martel hit the ring as Hart bailed to the safety of the floor. Martel went to hit Orton with the bat but Orton ecaped the ring for the floor and joined Hart. Martel looked at Rogers and had the bat at the ready. Rogers removed his suit jacket and tossed it out of the ring. Tito was down. Martel had the bat at the ready as Rogers looked on. Bubba gestured for Martel to take a swing at him. Hart jumped on the apron and yelled for Bubba to get out of the ring. Tito got up on wobbly legs and gestured for Rick not to hit Bubba with the bat. Martel and Bubba glared at each other for what seemed like an eternity before Hart was finally able to coax Bubba out of the ring. Bubba slowly left the ring, turned on the apron and looked back at Martel and dropped to the floor. Martel's was wide-eyed as he held the bat in the air. Hart yelled something at the pair in the ring before leading his men back up the aisle. Halfway up the aisle, Bubba turned and looked back at Martel. Hart jumped in front of Bubba and put his hands up and pleaded with Bubba to head backstage. Bubba finally relented and he, Hart and Orton made their way to the back as Tito and Rick looked on from the ring.

WINNER: Orton - Pinfall - Superplex - 10:09)

(Announcers discussed Orton beating Tito and then the stand-off between Martel and Bubba Rogers. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Hi everybody. Scott Hudson here. With me at this time are the two teams who will be challenging for the World Tag Team Titles currently held by the Sheik's Army in a 3-Way dance. Guys, come on in here."

Tommy Rich and Dynamite Kid and the Long Riders walked into the interview area. All three were in their ring attire.

SH: "I'll start with you, Dynamite and Tommy. In tonight's match, each team will be able to have a legal man in the ring, but you can tag out to anyone on any team. This promises to be a wild match. Are you guys ready to face the tag team champions?"

TR: 'We've faced them before, Scott. The thing about Kamala and Abdullah is that they are very wild and very unpredictable. You just never know what they're going to do. They may be the hardest team to prepare for in all of wrestling today. But I've got a tag team specialist in the Dynamite Kid as my partner. And that makes me like our chances tonight."

DK: "The Sheik's Army always promises one thing...chaos. They are not what you would call standard wrestlers. They know some moves and all that. But they're mainly a team that thrives on their opponents being unable to read them. With most wrestlers, no matter how good they are, they have some predictable wrestling patterns. You know when certain things are coming. Not these guys. Me and Tommy just have to go in there and be prepared for anything to happen. But if we wrestle our match, then we should be in good shape and could be the new World Tag Team Champions by the end of the night."

SH: "'Long Riders' Bill and Scott Irwin, I know you guys have something to say about that."

BI: 'We get along great with Tommy and Dynamite. But once we're in that ring it will be all business for all three teams involved in the match. We all want to be the tag team champions. Scott and I have wrestled together for years. This match may get wild and crazy. But the Irwins love wild and crazy and the Sheik's Army is wild and crazy. But the Long Riders can be just a little wilder and a little crazier than almost anyone."

SI: "Let me just say this! I think I speak for all of us standing here when I say we want the winner of tonight's match to be anyone but the Sheik's Army! I would rather lose this match and see Dynamite and Tommy win the belts than have Adnan's boys remain the champs! I don't like the Sheik's Army! I don't like seeing them holding the tag team titles! Two teams have been given an excellent chance to get those belts off of them! I don't know what Adnan has in mind for his revolution here in WCW! But I do know that you're looking at two teams who are determined to put a crimp in their plans tonight!"

SH: "Fans, the 3-Way Dance for the World Tag Team Titles is coming up later tonight right here on 'Mayhem'! A look back at last week's World Title #1 Contender's Ladder match is coming up next!)

(Announcers intro'd video from last week's World Title #1 Contender's Ladder Match with post-match comments from Nord and Orndorff to follow.)

(VIDEO:

Buff started climbing the ladder and got high enough to grab but hit it and the contract was swinging. Buff trying to grab the contract as Orndorff got to his feet and quickly scurried up the other side of the ladder and the two engaged in a punch exchange. Orndorff gained the advantage and slammed Buff's head into the top of the ladder. Orndorff then started to reach for the contract when Buff nailed Orndorff with a couple of head shots and Orndorff fell off the ladder and crashed to the mat. Buff was swaying and tried one futile grasp at the contract and fell off the ladder and crashed to the mat. Both men down. Both men to their feet. Buff charged at Orndorff and went to his Orndorff with his running forearm smash to the head but Orndorff fell out of the way and Buff pulverized the ref instead. Ref crashed to the mat and rolled out on the apron facing the crowd. Buff turned and Orndorff had gotten up and nailed Buff with a series of head shots. Orndorff kicked Buff in the gut, hoisted Buff up and nailed Buff with the piledriver. Buff rolled out of the ring and crashed to the floor. Orndorff started re-positioning the ladder in the ring when the X Factor charged down the aisle and hit the ring. X swung at Orndorff but Orndorff blocked the punch try and nailed X with a series of punches to the head that spun X around facing away from Orndorff. X staggering. Orndorff came up behind X, wrapped his arm around X's neck and demolished X with his inverted DDT finisher. X rolled out on the apron and Orndorff pushed X off the apron with his foot and X crashed to the floor. Orndorff re-set the ladder. Orndorff started to climb the ladder when Nord the Barbarian, in street clothes and minus his chain, charged down the aisle and hit the ring. Orndorff reached up to grab the contract but couldn't pull it down and Nord shoved the ladder over and Orndorff fell and snapped his neck on the top rope and crashed to the mat,. Nord reached down and pulled Orndorff up and nailed Orndorff with a chokeslam. Orndorff laid out. Buff recovering on the floor on his knee next to the apron. Nord fled back up the aisle. Buff got in the ring. Ref starting to regain his bearings. Buff climbed back into the ring and set the ladder up. As Buff started climbing the ladder, the ref, still woozy, was able to get to his feet. Buff climbed up the ladder and was able to unhook the contract. Ref saw it and called for the bell.

Video then flipped and showed Nord, in street clothes, standing in his locker room with mic in hand.

Nord: "Hahaha! Orndorff! How you feelin' right now?! Hahaha! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof! How did it feel when I choke slammed you almost through the mat?! How did it feel when your body slammed into the canvas and all the fight you had drained out of your body?! There was no way that you were winning that match! There was no way you were getting that World Title shot against Ric Flair! I was gonna make sure of it! Now, Orndorff, we are one giant step closer to a re-match! A re-match that I'm gonna win! Nobody does what you did to me at 'Season's Beatings' without paying a steep price for it! You were so close to grabbing that contract! So close to challenging for the championship that every wrestler dreams about fighting for! But it didn't happen and it's all thanks to me! Hahaha! Orndorff! Prepare for war! Because Nord is coming for you!"

Picture flipped and Orndorff was sitting in a chair in the corner of his locker room. His head was down and he had a hoodie on with the hood pulled over his head and mic in hand.

PO (somber): "You know, sometimes when an injustice has been committed against a man, the injustice is so great that it calls out for a response. I had that contract almost in my grasp. I was on my way to a World Title match with Ric Flair. But Nord, you took that away from me. You stole it from me. You stripped me of the chance to become the World Champion. World Title shots don't come along everyday. I was gonna get my title match. But now, Buff Bagwell will be taking on Ric Flair instead. I hope Buff sends you a nice present because of the gift you gave him, Nord. He owes his chance to win the World Title all to you."

Orndorff yanked back his hood and looked up.

PO: "You had no business doing what you did. But since you've done it, let me tell you something."

Orndorff stood up and kicked the chair out of the way. He was angry.

PO: "We're gonna have another match with each other! I've never run from a challenge in my life and I'm not going to start now! You hear me, Nord?! You have my full, undivided attention! You have tried to hang me with your chain! You've cost me a World Championship match! I'm not putting up with it anymore! This situation has now reached a critical mass! I've about had enough of you, Nord! The next time we lock horns in the ring, I'm gonna make you regret ever getting on the wrong side of 'Mr. Wonderful'!"

Orndorff tossed the mic and walked out of the picture as the video faded to black.)

(Announcers discussed the Orndorff-Nord remarks. Then sent it backstage.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "My guest at this time is the sheik of the Sheik's Army, manager Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey."

Kaissey walked into the interview area and was dressed in an expensive suit and the typical Arab male headwear.

SH: "Sheik Adnan, tonight your men, Kamala and Abdullah The Butcher, are facing two teams in a 3-Way Dance with your team's tag team titles on the line. Does a match of this type worry you at all?"

AK: "Scott Hudson! No match of any type worries me or the men who make up the Sheik's Army! They are warriors on a holy mission! And they will defeat the infidels tonight! When Allah is on your side, victory is with you!"

SH: "You seem very confident. You're basically outnumbered 2-to-1 and it's two very good teams you're facing."

AK: "It wouldn't matter how many teams we were facing! We could be facing 10 of them and it would not matter! We are the tag team champions and we will remain that way! You place infidels in front of men whose cause is right and just and the infidels will lose every single time!"

SH: "Where are Kamala and Abdullah right now?"

AK: "They are in the locker room preparing for the match with Kimchee!"

SH: "Are you thinking about more than holding the tag team titles?"

AK: "A revolution occurs in steps! The World Tag Team Titles are one step in the process!"

SH: "That's Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey. His men will be defending the tag belts in a 3-Way Dance and it's next.")

(Announcers hyped for next week: WCW World Title: Ric Flair (WC) vs. Buff Bagwell

Match 2 (3-Way Dance for the WCW World Tag Team Titles)

Sheik's Army (WTTC) w/ Mgr. Adnan El-Kaissey & Handler Kimchee vs. Dynamite Kid & 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich vs. The Long Riders

('Flirtin' With Disaster' by Molly Hatchet filled the arena and the Long Riders made their way to the ring to a good ovation. They were in black trenchcoats, blue jeans, cowboy-style wrestling boots and blue bandanas on their heads. The pair acknowledged the crowd once in the ring.

'London Calling' by The Clash played and the fans popped for Tommy Rich and Kid. Rich was in his black tights with flames on the lower half of them, boots that were flaming (not literally) and a 'Wildfire' t-shirt. Kid had the British flag draped over his shoulders, powder blue tights with the word 'Dynamite' was written in red lettering going down the right leg and 'Kid' in red lettering going down the left leg and red, white and blue boots. The pair climbed up on the apron and briefly saluted the fans before climbing into the ring.

Kimchee removed Kam's African tribal mask.

Kimchee took the belts from the champs and handed them to the ref. Ref held the titles in the air for all to see and then handed them off to Craig Johnson. Ref called all three teams to the middle of the ring and patted down all three teams and laid down the ground rules. Ref then sent each team to their corners. Kaissey and Kimchee had words for the champs before heading to the floor.

Announcers said that each team will have one legal man in the ring at all times and the first team to score a pinfall or force a submission wins the match.

Early in the match, the Long Riders and Kid/Rich basically ganged up on Kamala and Abby. It was a wild affair, with some exciting near falls.

At the end of the match, Kid, Bill Irwin and Abby were the legal men in the ring. Abby had just dropped Kid with an open hand thrust to the throat. Abby turned and Bill Irwin caught Abby with his bicycle kick to the face. Abby teetered and went down. Bill covered Abby and Kamala came in and stomped Bill in the back of the head to break up the pin try. Scott Irwin hit the ring and started flailing away on Kamala with punches that sent Kamala staggering. Kid made it to his feet as Abby got up and caught Abby with a series of European uppercuts. Kid whipped Abby into the ropes and caught Abby coming off with a flying headbutt. Abby teetered again. Kid then nailed Abby with a dropkick that sent Abby crashing back to the mat. Kamala had gained the advantage on Scott and went over and dropped Kid with a clothesline to the back of the neck. Rich jumped in the ring and started brawling with Kamala. Kaissey took off his suit jacket and jumped up on the ring apron. Bill Irwin recovered and nailed Kaissey with some head shots and catapaulted Kaissey into the ring. Crowd eating it up. Kaissey got up and started begging off and backed up against the ropes. Bill stunned Kaissey with a couple of more head shots and then clotheslined Kaissey over the top rope down to the floor. Bill followed Kaissey out of the ring. Abby got up and started attacking Kid and Scott jumped on Abby and started pounding Abby. Kid then got the upper hand on Abby. Ref trying to get Rich and Kamala out of the ring. Kimchee came over and attacked Bill Irwin and Scott saw it and bolted to the floor and Scott and Bill tore into Kimchee and Kaissey. Kid whipped Abby into the ropes and caught Abby coming off with a flying shoulder tackle. Abby staggered and went down. Abby got up and Kid hit Abby with a second flying shoulder tackle and Abby crashed to the mat again. Abby got up and Kid grabbed Abby, whipped Abby into the buckles and followed Abby in and nailed Abby with a flying knee to the chest. Abby staggered out of the corner. Kid went out on the apron and mounted the top buckle. The fighting between Rich and Kamala spilled out onto the floor. Kid came off with a missle dropkick that sent Abby crashing back down to the mat. Kid went for the cover. 1...2...thr... Abby kicked out. Kimchee had broken away from the assault on the floor as Kid went out on the apron. Crowd went nuts as the ref tackled Kimchee in the ring. Abby reached into his ring pants as Kid mounted the top buckle. Abby made it to his feet. Ref pushing Kimchee out of the ring but Kimchee struggling. Scott came over and reached into the ring and started to pull Kimchee out by his ankles but Kimchee grabbed the ref. Ref struggling to free himself. Rich and Kamala now fighting with Kaissey and Bill Irwin. Kid came off the top rope with a double sledge attempt on Abby but Abby caught Kid in the gut with a foreign object loaded right hand. Kid grabbed his gut and Abby grabbed Kid in a side headlock and nailed Kid in the head witht he object. Kid crashed to the mat. Abby dropped the object back into his tights as Scott succeeded in pulling Kimchee back to the floor and the melee' continued out there. Ref got up as Abby dropped an elbow smash on Kid. Abby covered Kid. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell.

Fighting ended on the floor with Rich throwing Kaissey into the ring. Ref went over and took the tag titles from Craig Johnson and had a few words with him.

Abby got to his feet and the ref pointed at him. Kamala made it into the ring. Kaissey got up as the ref handed Kamala and Abby their belts. Irwins and Rich disappointed as Kid slowly recovered in the ring. Rich checking on Kid. Kamala and Abby looked like they wanted to fight with the Irwins some more but Kaissey waved them off.

CJ: "In a time of 13 minutes, 21 seconds, your winners...and STILL WCW World Tag Team Champions...Sheik's Army!"

Loud boos from the crowd.

Kaissey, Kamala and Abby left the ring and Kimchee had recovered and met them on the floor. Kid, sitting up, was staring daggers at the champs. Kamala and Abby each slung a belt over their shoulder and Kimchee gestured for the pair to head back up the aisle to more boos as the program faded to black.

WINNER: Sheik's Army - Pinfall - Abby pinned Kid after a Foreign Object shot and Elbow Smash - 13:21)

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 40 - JACKSON, TN - OMAN ARENA - 1-19-16 (Taped)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: WCW World Title: Ric Flair (WC) vs. Buff Bagwell; Tommy Rich vs. Bob Orton; Larry Zbysko sees action; and more!)

(In-ring:

'Bad To The Bone' by George Thorogood played and out came manager Jimmy Hart, Tru TV Champion Steve O and security Bubba Rogers. They were strongly booed. O was in a black muscle shirt, jeans, tennis shoes and sunglasses. He had the title slung over his shoulder. Hart was in a red suit with 'First Family' written on the back of the jacket, black shirt and thin red tie, sunglasses, black shoes and carrying his megaphone. Rogers was in a gray suit jacket that was open, black shirt opened at the top two buttons, black pants, black shoes and sunglasses. Hart and O had mics. The three got in the ring and went and O mounted two of the middle buckles and held up the title with one hand as Hart shouted O's praises through his megaphone.

The three then gathered in the middle of the ring.

JH: "Tennessee is my home state, baby! It's great to be back!"

Mixed crowd reaction.

JH: "But, I'm from Memphis! Jackson is nothing but a pimple on the ass of this great state! If Jackson, Tennessee disappeared from the state tomorrow no one, and I mean no one, would miss this port-a-potty of a town!"

Solid boos now.

JH: "Also, I think it's time I make a confession! This state is SEC football country! The SEC is the best conference in all of college football! I know in the past I've talked about my love of Volunteer football! But it's all been a lie! Hahaha! Roll Tide, baby! I'm a 'Bama fan through and through! If their is anything such as a living deity...it's not that loser Butch Jones! It's Nick Saban! All hail the great Nick Saban! I bleed crimson! You'll never catch me bleeding Volunteer orange and white! Orange and white! Ha! The Tennessee Volunteers are the only team in college football that's dressed like a creamsicle! Creamsicle! Now that screams intimidation, doesn't it?! Hahaha!

"We've entered 2016! The year of Trump! And it's also gonna be the year of Steve O and the First Family of Wrestling! Steve O, man, he's gonna be the Tru TV Champion for a long time to come! He may hold the belt for so long that Trump will be elected to his second term as President of the United States and Steve O will still be the Tru TV Champion! I can't tell you how proud I am of Steve! As soon as he joined the First Family, he grabbed the bull by the horns and became the winner that was always looking to bust out of him! He just needed a little managerial guidance! He heeded my advice and you see the result! The result is that championship draped over his shoulder! It's only upward and onward for him in 2016! And now, I give you the champ!"

O: "Jimmy Hart! Thank you for those kind words, my friend! I wouldn't be standing here a champion today if not for this man's guidance! He is truly a genius! He is a great thinker! One of the greatest thinkers in any field anywhere in the world! That's Jimmy Hart, ladies and gentlemen!

"You know what sucks about being Steve O, boss?!"

JH: "What sucks about being you?!"

O: "Absolutely nothing! It's great to be Steve O, man! I am so thankful I'm not some hayseed from Jackson, Tennessee! This town is filled with nothing but 8-to-5 losers! You're booing me! But the fact is you're doing that because you wish you were me! I am so much better than you people! You're the kind of folks who wash my car and then are extremely grateful when I leave you a pitiful one dollar tip! A dollar to me is nothing! I'm the TV Champ! I'm rolling in the long green! But you people have to bust your ass day in and day out just to get the crumbs off the table of someone like me! But enough about you little people! It gets depressing talking about grunts like you! Hell, it's even more depressing to have to look at guys!

"I'm out here to say that I'm getting antsy! I haven't defended this title in a few weeks on 'Mayhem'! I wanna put this belt on the line against a worthy challenger! Now, when I say worthy challenger, I don't mean someone whose driver's license says they're from a hole like Jackson, Tennessee! I wanna face a top WCW star with this on the line! You're only as good as your opponents! And the best only want to wrestle and beat the best! So, what I would like is for Tony Garea of the championship committee to get his arse out here right now!"

A brief pause and Garea doesn't come out.

O: "Where's Garea?! We gonna have to form a hunting party to find him?! Get out here, son!"

Garea made his way out on the

entrance stage. He was in a suit and holding a mic.

JH: "There he is! Glad you could make it, Tony! What took you so long?!"

TG: "So, Steve O. You want a Tru TV Championship match, huh?!"

O: "That's right! Lay one on me, big boy!"

TG: "Tonight, Tommy Rich is wrestling First Family member Bob Orton."

O: "How very observant! What of it?!"

TG: "Well, that match is now a #1 Contender's match. The winner of that match gets a shot at the TV Title next week here on 'Mayhem'."

O: "Wait a minute! Bob Orton's with the First Family! You can't do that!"

TG: "Yes I can. And yes I did."

O: "I'm not facing my fellow stablemate, man! You're trying to cause..."

Hart pulled O aside and started talking off-mic to O. O shook his head in strong agreement with Hart.

O: "I can't believe I didn't think of this, man! That's cool, Tony! That's cool! If Orton wins tonight, then no matter what, the belt stays in the family! Thanks for the gift, bro! Haha!"

TG: "If it's you and Orton then so be it. But, you will be facing the winner of the Orton-Rich match next week."

O: "The 'Cowboy' will know what to do after he wins tonight!"

JH: "O vs. Orton for the TV Title! I love it, baby! You can't go wrong with that!"

O and Hart were chatting happily off-mic when a WCW official came out on the entrance stage and whispered in Garea's ear. Garea chuckled as the official walked to the back.

TG: "Jimmy and Steve, one more thing."

JH: "What's that?! You want me to be the special referee?! Haha!"

TG: "It's like you're reading my mind, Jimmy."

Hart and O were now giddy as Rogers kept an eye out for any possible security breaches.

TG: "There is going to be a special referee. Only it won't be you."

JH: "What?!"

O: "Hey! No way! No way! Jimmy should be the special ref for the match!"

TG: "The special referee will be...Harley Race! See you next week, gents!"

Garea turned and walked off the stage and O and Hart were now beside themselves as the fans cheered.

JH: "Harley Race! That no good snake cost Zbysko the World Title last month, man! The First Family's not gonna stand for this! Not a chance!"

The pair were in disbelief in the ring as Rogers kept his stoic calm.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "We are back on 'Mayhem'. I'm Scott Hudson. My guest at this time will be challenging Ric Flair for the WCW World Title tonight, Buff Bagwell."

Buff walked into the interview area. He was in his ring attire.

SH: "Buff, in recent weeks, you've attacked Ric Flair on a couple of occasions. And two weeks ago, you won the #1 Contender's Ladder Match in controversial fashion against Paul Orndorff thanks to interference by Orndorff's bitter rival Nord The Barbarian."

BB: "The bottom line is I won the match. Whatever issues Nord has with Orndorff that's their problem, not mine. I'm standing here the #1 contender.

"As the fans remember, a month ago, I actually pinned Ric Flair in the ring and was declared the World Champion."

SH: "You attacked Flair after his World Title defense against Larry Zbysko. That hardly makes you the World Champion."

BB: "It's all in the eye of the beholder, Scott. I look at my week of holding the belt..."

SH: "Illegally. You were not the champion because you didn't wrestle Flair in an officially sanctioned match."

BB: "I look at that week that I had the belt and walked around as World Champion as my dry run for the real thing. Tonight, my becoming the new WCW World Champion will be the real thing. Many fans consider Flair the best in the world. But he's gonna be second best after I get through with him tonight. You can't stop talent and I am the top talent in this sport right now. Ric Flair's reign as World Champion is running out just like the sand runs through an hourglass. Time's up, Naitch. 'The Era of the American Gigolo' is here. I'm Buff and I'm the stuff. And a more deserving guy couldn't be crowned the World Heavyweight wrestling champion."

Buff kissed both biceps and walked out of the interview area.

SH: "That's Buff Bagwell. He seems very confident in his ability to beat Ric Flair and win the World Title. We'll find out if he's got the stuff later tonight. Tony and Mark.)

(Schiavone and Madden started discussing the Bagwell-Flair match for the World Title. After talking for about 30 seconds, Schiavone reported that he got a message in his earpiece and sent it back to Scott Hudson.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson with Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey.

Kaissey was in an expensive suit, jewelry and the typical Arab male headwear.

SH: "Guys, Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, leader of the Sheik's Army, just walked into the interview area and demanded to speak. Sheik, what's this about?"

AK: "Scott Hudson! I am going to be at ringside tonight watching the World Title match between Buff Bagwell and World Champion Ric Flair!"

SH: "Why?"

AK: "This Ric Flair! He may be a decadent American! But he is also the greatest wrestler in the world today! He is number one for a reason! I have never, in my long career in wrestling, seen a wrestler like Ric Flair! He can wrestle any wrestler of any style and walk out of the ring victorious! He is a once-in-a-lifetime talent! Allah has truly blessed this man! I want to talk with Ric Flair! I see him being the World Champion for a long time to come! And I want the World Champion in the Sheik's Army!"

SH: "What?!"

AK: "I know Ric Flair may balk at the idea of joining the Army! But, I am a very wealthy man thanks to the oil business! As you infidel Americans say...money talks! Ric Flair leads a jet-set lifestyle! He's made a lot of money in his career! But I can give him the world! I have the means to make Ric Flair the richest wrestler in history!"

SH: "Are you basically saying that you intend to try and buy Ric Flair?!"

AK: "If that's the way you want to put it, yes! No one else can give him what I can! He lives in a big house! Working for me, he'll own many mansions! He'll drive the finest cars! He'll have his own plane and personal pilot and mechanic! Fort Knox will not be able to hold all the money he will make if he just says 'yes' to my offer! All that he has now will look like mere peanuts! He just has to sign a deal to become a member of the Sheik's Army! Ric Flair! I'm coming for you!"

Kaissey walked out of the interview area as a stunned Hudson looked on.

SH: "Wow! I can't believe what I just heard from Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey! That is a stunning annoucement! I am at a loss for words right now! Tony and Mark!")

(Schiavone and Madden discussed the shocking announcement for El-Kaissey. Then sent it to the ring.)

Match 1

'Living Legend' Larry Zbysko vs. Curtis Thompson

(Thompson was already in the ring and announced.

'I'm The Man' by Anthrax filled the arena and Zbysko came to the ring to strong boos. Zbysko was in his black tights and black boots with 'LZ' in gold lettering on the outside of each boot. He was wearing a black ring jacket with 'LZ' in gold lettering on the back.

Zbysko made short work of Thompson and finished him off with his Brian Buster finisher to score the pinfall.

WINNER: Zbysko - Pinfall - Brain Buster - :44)

(In-ring Interview: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "Larry Zbysko. A dominating vic..."

LZ: "Shut up! I can't believe what I heard before the commercial break earlier! Harley Race is gonna be the special referee in the Tru TV Championship match next week!"

CJ: "That's right."

LZ: "How can WCW allow this after the role Race played in costing me the World Title last month at 'Season's Beatings'?!"

CJ: "I think any fair-minded person who saw your title match at 'Season's Beatings' would have to say that Race called the match fairly and right down the middle like he said he would. He showed no favoritism."

LZ: "So says you, Johnson! You're one of the suits here! You know which side your bread is buttered on! So, I expect that kind of bias coming from you!

"Steve O better hope Bob Orton wins that match against Tommy Rich tonight! If Orton wins, then no matter what happens next week, the title stays in-house with the First Family! But if Rich wins, then Steve O needs to start sweating bullets with Race as the referee!"

CJ: "Is there heat with you and Race?"

LZ: "There is! And I don't want to see O lose the TV Title because Race plays favorites! This is an injustice! Having Harley ref another match here is a slap in the face to everyone in our sport! I can't let him do to O what he did to me at 'Season's Beatings'! And the heat between me and Race will explode into a raging inferno if he goes out of his way to cost O the belt! That man should never be allowed to even sit in the crowd at another WCW event!"

CJ: "Harley has proven that he's a fair official..."

LZ: "What the hell do you know?! Harley, I just want to let you know that I'll be watching you to make sure what happened to me last month doesn't happen again!"

Zbysko stormed out of the ring and headed up the aisle to strong boos.

CJ: "That was Larry Zbysko. Things should be real interesting next week when the Tru TV Title match takes place.")

(Schiavone and Madden discussed Zbysko's remarks and wondered what could go down if O has to defend the title against Rich next week with Race as the special ref. Hyped still to come: WCW World Title: Flair (WC) vs.Bagwell. Said the #1 Contender's Match for a Tru TV Title Match: Rich vs. Orton was coming up!)

(Commercials)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Welcome back to 'Mayhem'. World Champion Ric Flair, come on in here."

Flair walked into the interview area and was in his ring attire and holding the belt.

SH: "Ric, tonight you collide with Buff Bagwell with the title on the line. Buff has attacked you twice in recent weeks. He won the ladder match against Paul Orndorff thanks to outside help from Nord The Barbarian to get this title shot. What are your thoughts heading into this big match?"

RF: "Scott, Buff Bagwell has gotten what he wished for. And no matter how he earned this title shot, I know he's a tough competitor. I can't let those two attacks he sprung on me affect my performance tonight. I can't let him get me off of my game. I've got to go in there and wrestle my match and I think I'll be in good shape. Bagwell's a guy who's made no secret of wanting to be the World Champion. And his actions prove that he's a man who will do whatever he thinks is necessary to win the gold. I don't like Buff Bagwell. There's something about him that just rubs me the wrong way. He has a lot of talent. But, he also is very arrogant and cocky. The question is: can he back up that arrogance and cockiness in a match this big? Making those things work against him might be the key to me winning his match.

"But, if Buff Bagwell wants to get down and dirty, well, he's met his match because I'm the dirtiest player in the game and have no problem matching dirty tactic with dirty tactic against anyone. Especially a punk like Bagwell."

SH: "Before you go. Ric, Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey was out here earlier and said he's willing to do whatever it takes to sign you to a contract and make you a member of his Army. He clearly thinks very highly of you. He made it clear that with him, you would make more money than any wrestler in history. What do you think of that?"

RF: "I've been busy preparing for my match tonight and heard nothing about it. And quite frankly, I'm not to worried about Sheik Adnan and anything he has to say right now. I'm totally focused on defeating Bagwell."

SH: "Good luck tonight."

RF: "Thank you, Scott."

Camera zoomed in on Hudson.

SH: "That was WCW World Champion Ric Flair. We'll see if he remains the champ after his match with Buff Bagwell tonight.")

Rich now leaned back against the ropes. Orton nailed Rich with a few more head shots and nailed Rich with a backbreaker across the knee. Orton mounted the middle buckle facing the crowd and came off with slingshot splash that connected. Orton covered Rich and hooked the leg. 1...2...thr... Rich kicked out. Orton went to hit Rich but Rich ducked the punch try and came back and caught Orton with some head shots of his own that spun Orton around. Rich locked Orton in a sleeperhold. Orton struggling to free himself. Hart and O going crazy at ringside as Tito and Martel yelled encouragement to Rich. Orton started to weaken in the hold but was able to lunge forward into the corner and drop down and Rich's head slammed into the top buckle. Orton got to his feet as Rich spun around in the corner. Orton recovered enough to join in the boot party. Martel and Tito jumped in the ring and were followed by Rogers. Crowd popped as the Dynamite Kid, dressed in t-shirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes and leather jacket, charged down the aisle and jumped into the ring. O and Orton stopped their assault on Rich. Hart out on the apron yelling for his men to leave the ring. After a brief stand-off, O and Orton left for the floor. But Rogers stood looking on at the trio. As Hart's group walked by Rich, Rogers walked past Rich and then suddenly turned back around and nailed Rich with a cheap shot to the side of the head. Rich grabbed his head as Martel, Kid and Tito moved in to protect Rich. Hart ordered his men to vacate the ringside area. After a little more tension between the two sides, the First Family finally left and headed back up the aisle to loud boos. Kid went over and shook Flair's hand and gave Flair a brief hug. Flair just looking at Kid.

DK: "Ric, congratulations on another hard-fought World Title defense. You showed why you're the best, my friend."

RF: "Thank you."

DK: "The reason I came out here, Ric, is to ask you one question."

Flair leaned into Kid's mic.

RF: "What's that?"

DK: "We're good friends. And we've fought by each other's side here in WCW. I've had your back; you've had mine. We've both had great runs since we've been here."

Flair nodded affirmatively.

DK: "Ric, I want a World Title shot against you. How about it? I would love to test my skills against you in this game of human chess that we call pro wrestling. And I think these fans would want to see it as well."

Fans cheered.

DK: "They're on board. There's no doubt it would be a great match. I just want one match, Ric. That's all I'm asking for. Flair vs. Kid for the World Title."

Flair took the mic from Dynamite.

RF: "Dynamite, I've just been in a tough battle against Buff Bagwell. I'm not thinking about my next title defense right now. I need time to decompress and think about this, my friend."

Kid spoke into the mic.

DK: "So you'll think about it then?"

Brief pause.

RF: "I'll tell you what, Dynamite. Give me a week to think about it. I'll give you my answer next week here on 'Mayhem'."

DK: "That's all I can ask for, brother."

Kid then raised Flair's hand victoriously as the fans cheered. Kid then gave Flair another brief hug and left the ring and let Flair have his moment.)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: Ric Flair announces whether he'll give the Dynamite Kid a World Title shot; Tru TV Championship: Steve O (TVC) vs. Tommy Rich; The X Factor vs. Paul Orndorff; and more.)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson:

CJ: "Welcome to WCW Mayhem! We are coming to you live from Monroe, Louisiana!"

Fans cheered.

CJ: "Would you please welcome my guest at this time...he is the manager of the World Tag Team Champions...the leader of the Sheik's Army...Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey!"

'Cry of the Vatos' by Oingo Boingo played and out came Kaissey to strong boos. Kaissey was in an expensive suit and jewelry and wearing a keffiyeh.

Kaissey climbed into the ring and briefly walked around soaking in the negative crowd reaction.

CJ: "Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, last week, you made it quite clear here on 'Mayhem' that you were interested in purchasing the services of WCW World Champion Ric Flair and making him a member of the Sheik's Army. Care to elaborate on that?"

AK: "Craig Johnson! I was very to the point last week! I think Ric Flair is the best wrestler in the world and he needs to be treated like the best wrestler in the world!"

CJ: "What does that mean? He needs to be treated like..."

AK: "Ric Flair makes a very good living in this sport! Very good! But things would be so much better if he aligned himself with my Army! I already have the World Tag Team Champions Kamala and Abdullah under contract! If Ric Flair signed with me, I would make him more money than he ever dreamed of! He would be the richest wrestler in pro wrestling history! He just has to say 'yes' to me and the sky's the limit for Ric Flair!"

CJ: "He hasn't arrived in the building yet this evening. But, he will be out here later on tonight. Have you had a chance to talk with him at all?"

AK: "No, I have not had a chance to talk with Flair yet! He is a very busy man! When you're the best wrestler in the world you are always in demand! But, I will talk to him very soon and present my offer to him!"

CJ: "Do you think he'll accept your offer to join your Army?"

AK: "Ric Flair is a very smart man as well as a great athlete! When I put my offer on the table, I think he will do the right thing and accept! The world will be at his beck and call! He'll never have to worry about anything again once he aligns himself with me! He will be taken care of for life! More money than he could even dream of! Healthcare...done! His family will never have to worry about anything again, either! Once you become a member of my Army you are treated like part of the Sheik's family!"

CJ: "Sheik Adnan, you live by a pretty strict religious code. Flair doesn't exactly fit into that mold. He's a guy who loves to have a good time. He likes to live high and chase the women. How can you square the two things...your strict religious beliefs and his wild ways?"

AK: "This would be strictly a business deal, Johnson! I'm looking to sign him because he's the best wrestler in the world; not the best person in the world! I'll be paying him to wrestle for me! How he lives his personal life...well...that's between him and Allah! I want him and that World Heavyweight Title in my Army! Best wrestler in the world combined with the biggest championship in wrestling in the world and you have a winning combination! The money for Ric and myself will roll in like the tide! Ric joining the Army just makes good business sense!"

CJ: "Apparently, Ric Flair hasn't said much about your offer to anyone. We've had people talk to people who know Ric and this hasn't been a topic of conversation for him. It's like he's keeping his cards close to the vest on this matter."

AK: "That's the way it should be! This will be the biggest deal in the history of pro wrestling! Flair is doing the right thing by not talking to anyone about it! That's a bad business move because if you talk to too many people they may twist you in all different directions, so making a sound decision is impossible! It's best that he contemplates this move on his own without any outsiders screwing things up for him!"

CJ: "That was Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, everyone! He's looking to sign Ric Flair to the most lucrative deal in the history of the sport of pro wrestling. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out."

AK: "One more thing...Allah Akbar!"

Crowd booed as Kaissey turned and left the ring and headed back up the aisle.

CJ: "Let's send it backstage to Scott Hudson.")

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time. He is challenging for the Tru TV Championship later tonight. He is 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich."

Rich walked into the interview area in his ring attire.

SH: "Tommy, last week you beat Bob Orton of the First Family to earn a Tru TV Championship shot against another First Family member in champ Steve O tonight."

TR: "The First Family is not so much a wrestling stable as it is a gang. They'll stoop as low as they have to if they think it will help them win matches. But last week, I defeated their boy Bob Orton. I'm looking to make Steve O the former Tru TV Champion in our match tonight."

SH: "Harley Race is the special referee in the match tonight. What are your thoughts on him?"

TR: "Harley's career speaks for itself. An 8-time World Champion. You've got to respect him both as a man and a competitor. He's a stand-up guy. He said he was gonna call the Flair-Zbysko World Title match at 'Season's Beatings' last month fairly and that's just what he did. I'm sure he'll do the same thing here. When Harley tells you something, you know you can take it to the bank. His word is that good."

SH: "What about the menacing security for the First Family? I'm talking about 'Big' Bubba Rogers. You know he's gonna be out there tonight. Do you think he'll factor into this match at all?"

TR: "He might, Scott. He does more than provide security for Jimmy Hart and the others. He's muscle and he can lay a serious hurtin' on you if you're not careful. His main job is to make sure that TV Title remains in the possession of the First Family."

SH: "You gonna bring anyone to ringside with you like you did last week when you wrestled Orton?"

TR: "You've gotta have back-up when you battle anyone in the First Family. Rick Martel and Tito Santana will be watching my back once again."

SH: "Thank you for your time, Tommy.

"That was Tommy Rich. He'll be looking to liberate the Tru TV Championship from the hands of the First Family when he faces Steve O later tonight. Paul Orndorff battles the X Factor when we come back.")

SH: "We are back here on 'Mayhem'. With me at this time is the special guest referee for the Tru TV Championship main event, Harley Race."

Race walked into the interview area dressed in the usual black and white ref's shirt and black pants.

SH: "Harley, you were the special guest referee for the World Title match between Larry Zbysko and Ric Flair at 'Season's Beatings.' WCW officials were so impressed with how well you called that match that they've brought you back one more time for another title tilt."

HR: "Scott Hudson, it's great to be back here in WCW and refereeing another big championship match. I'm gonna have my hands full tonight as Steve O and Tommy Rich will be coming to the ring with reinforcements. But, I'm confident that I can maintain law and order in the squared circle."

SH: "Harley, you have to..."

A voice was heard approaching the interview area.

Voice: "Hey!"

SH: "Larry Zbysko! What are you doing here?! This is not your inter..."

LZ: "Shut up, Hudson! Harley! I just came out here to tell you this! Everyone knows that you played a major role in costing me the World Title!"

Race just shook his head.

LZ: "And I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit idly by and let you rob a fine young man like Steve O of the Tru TV Championship!"

HR: "Larry, Larry, Larry. Anyone who saw that match between you and Flair at 'Season's Beatings' knows that I called the match fairly. The bottom line is that you just didn't get the job done. You losing that match was all on you. Deal with it."

LZ: "It's hard to deal with being robbed and knowing the thief gets another chance to screw someone over!"

HR: "Look, if you've got a problem with me, and you obviously do, we can settle this matter on our own time. I've got a job to do tonight and I will call the match right down the middle. I'm playing no favorites. Just like I played no favorites between you and Flair a little over a month ago."

LZ: "I'll be watching you tonight, Harley! You'd better call the match fairly...or else!"

HR: "Or else what, Larry?"

LZ: "Just do your job and there won't be any problems!"

Zbysko turned and stormed out of the interview area.

SH: "Harley, I really don't know...what do you have to say about that?"

HR: "There's not much too say. He's still mad that he lost the World Title and has to blame someone else for his failure. I gotta finish getting ready for the match later tonight."

Race and Hudson shook hands.

SH: "That was Harley Race. He's the special referee in the Tru TV Championship match coming up later tonight here on 'Mayhem'. Let's get to the ring.")

Match 1

'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff vs. The X Factor

('I Heard It On The X' by ZZ Top filled the arena and the crowd booed as the X Factor made his way to the ring. He was in his red, black and white tie-dyed bodytight with a black 'X' spray painted on the front, black boots with red trim, black gloves and a black mask with red trim and a red 'X' over the eyes. X got into the ring and briefly played to the crowd.

'There's No Easy Way Out' by Robert Tepper played and Paul Orndorff came out to a strong ovation. He was in a red robe with black sleeves with red trim around the wrist and 'Orndorff' written on cursive letters on the back, red tights with 'Mr. #1derful' on the back and red boots with 'PO' in white lettering on the outside of each boot.

Orndorff climbed into the ring and removed his robe and turned and handed it off to a ringside attendant and then briefly gestured towards the crowd. X charged over and jumped Orndorff from behind.

Ref called for the bell.

X staggered Orndorff with a series of punches that sent Orndorff into the corner. X then whipped Orndorff into the opposite buckles and moved in and blasted Orndorff with a series of head shots that drove Orndorff onto his ass in the corner. X then face washed Orndorff with his boot and snapped off a stiff kick to the chest. X went to repeat the move and Orndorff grabbed X's foot. Orndorff made it to his feet while holding the boot as X tried to escape. X tried to beg off, but Orndorff made a fist, looked to the crowd for inspiration, nailed X with a head shot and then spun X all the way around and Orndorff dropped X with a clothesline. Orndorff then briefly shook out the effects of X's assault as X made it to his feet. Orndorff moved in and caught X with a kick to the gut and went to hoist X up for a piledriver but X blocked the move and backdropped Orndorff to the mat. Orndorff got up facing the buckles and X charged up from behind and ran Orndorff into the buckles and rolled up Orndorff from behind for the pin while holding a handful of tights. 1...2...thr... Orndorff kicked out. X moved in as Orndorff made it to his feet and caught Orndorff with an uppercut that stunned Orndorff. X then went to bodyslam Orndorff but Orndorff reversed it into a small package for the pin. 1...2... X kicked out. Both men up. X jumped on Orndorff and started pounding away on him and went to whip Orndorff into the ropes but Orndorff reversed and caught X coming off with a clothesline that dropped X. Orndorff grabbed X and rammed X's head into the top buckle repeatedly. X spun around in the corner and was dazed. Orndorff then gestured to the crowd that he was going to to try and unmask X and show the world his identity. Orndorff grabbed the mask and X put up a struggle. Orndorff was able to get the mask over X's mouth but then X was able to stun Orndorff with a knee to the groin. Orndorff backed off holding the family jewels. X pulled the mask back down and turned to the crowd and flipped them the bird. X moved in and struck Orndorff with head shots, whipped Orndorff into the ropes and caught Orndorff coming off with a legdive takedown and locked Orndorff into the STF. Orndorff struggled not to submit. Orndorff started fighting his way towards the ropes as X kept the hold locked in. Orndorff moved within inches of the ropes as X pulled up on the hold. Orndorff raised his hand and appeared to be on the verge of tapping when he was able to muster the strength for one final lunge and get his hand on the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. Orndorff slowly made it to his feet next to the ropes when X moved in and caught Orndorff with a kick to the side of the ribs and then a few deliberate punches to the same area. X leaned Orndorff back against the ropes and nailed Orndorff with a couple of stiff forearm smashes to the chest. X whipped Orndorff into the ropes and caught Orndorff coming off with an elbow to the chest that sent Orndorff crashing to the mat.

Orndorff slowly made it to his feet and walked right into a fireman's carry. X held Orndorff in that position for a few seconds and then nailed Orndorff with a rolling fireman's carry slam. Orndorff down as X briefly played to the crowd. X then stomped away on Orndorff and pulled Orndorff up and nailed Orndorff with a fisherman's suplex into a bridgeout for the pin. 1...2...thr... Orndorff kicked out. Orndorff got to a knee as X moved in and caught Orndorff in a front facelock. Orndorff got to his feet as X maintained the hold. X tightened up on the hold as Orndorff tried to escape. Orndorff then was able to ram X hard back-first into the buckles and freed himself from the hold. Orndorff then found the strength to nail X with a series of deliberate shoulder blocks to the gut. Orndorff then fell over back-first by the ropes as X was hurting in the corner. Orndorff then caught X with a kick to the gut and went to whip X into the opposite buckles but X reversed and sent Orndorff crashing into them. Orndorff staggered out off the corner and X nailed Orndorff with an arm trap swinging neckbreaker. X for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2...thr... Orndorff got a shoulder up. X grabbed Orndorff and whipped Orndorff into the ropes and went to nail Orndorff with a clothesline but Orndorff ducked the move and came back and leveled X with a flying shoulder tackle. X got up and Orndorff blasted X with a second flying shoulder tackle and X went down again. X a little slower getting up this time and once up, Orndorff blasted him with a third flying shoulder tackle. Crowd into it. Orndorff circled around behind X as a dazed and confused X made it to his feet. Orndorff came up behind X and wrapped his arm around X's neck, held X there for a few seconds and then pulverized X with his inverted DDT (Scorpion Death Drop) finisher. Orndorff covered X and hooked the leg. 1...2...3! Ref called for the bell as the fans roared.

An exhausted Orndorff made it to his feet as the ref came over and raised his hand in victory. X laid out. Orndorff was about to leave the ring when he stopped, looked back at X and then gestured to the crowd that he was gonna pull off X's mask. Crowd urged Orndorff on. X started to slowly stir as Orndorff went over and started to pull X's mask off. A brief struggle ensued as X fought to keep the mask off when Nord the Barbarian, in street clothes and with mic in hand, walked out onto the entrance stage.

Nord had his chain.

Nord: "Orndorff! Oooof! Oooof! Oooof!"

Orndorff stopped trying to unmask X and looked over and saw Nord. Orndorff went over and stood next to the ropes closest to the stage and looked at Nord.

Nord then waved Valhalla the chain in the air as Orndorff looked on.

Nord: "I'm coming, Orndorff! I'm coming for my vengeance on you! Be ready!"

After a brief staredown, Nord turned and headed backstage as Orndorff watched. Orndorff then looked back and X had recovered enough and had bailed from the ring to the floor and was standing by the ringside barricade with mask still firmly intact. Orndorff then started walking around the ring as X was able to head back up the aisle holding the back of his head.

WINNER: Orndorff - Pinfall - Inverted DDT - 8:27)

(Announcers discussed Orndorff defeating X and Nord coming out and a staredown ensuing between the two and X escaping once again with his mask intact. Then said Scott Hudson was standing by with Ric Flair.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

Hudson was standing in the interview area with Ric Flair. Flair was in a sport coat, polo shirt, slacks and dress shoes. He had the World Title cradled in his left arm.

SH: "Ric, you just arrived in the building. Later tonight, you're gonna announce whether or not you'll defend the World Championship against the Dynamite Kid. But, earlier tonight, Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey did an interview with Craig Johnson and made it clear for the second week in a row that he wants to sign you to the richest contract in pro wrestling history and make you the centerpiece of his Army. What are your thoughts on what the Sheik is offering you?"

RF: "Scott, to be quite blunt, I don't know what the Sheik said earlier tonight. And I know he made some remarks last week and came out and watched my World Title defense against Buff Bagwell. I really have no idea what this is all about as I've just been concentrating on my wrestling."

SH: "He's been very open about wanting you to become a member of his Army. He hasn't been shy in..."

RF: "Scott, I don't know how to answer you right now about this matter with the Sheik. I'll have to look deeper into it and then when I have a better grasp of what's going on, I'll let you and everybody out there know what my response is to all this.

"I gotta run. I've got a couple of things to take care of before I give my answer to Dynamite this evening."

Flair walked out of the interview area.

SH: "That was World Champion Ric Flair. He seems very distracted right now and hasn't been paying much attention, apparently, to the overtures to join the Sheik's Army for the richest contract in the history of this sport. Tru TV Championship is on the line when we come back.")

Jimmy Hart was standing in the interview area.

SH: "Scott Hudson here with the manager of the First Family, Jimmy Hart. Jimmy, tonight your man Steve O defends the Tru TV Championship against 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich. And the special referee for this match is Harley Race."

JH: "Harley Race! Harley Race! Baby, the Man is determined to stick it to the First Family by placing Race in this match as the ref! There are some people who are hating on our success! They want the TV Title ripped from around Steve O's waist by hook or by crook and they want it done pronto!"

SH: "Put Harley Race aside for a minute. What about O's opponent Tommy Rich?"

JH: "I'm ashamed to admit that I'm from the same state as Tommy Rich is! He may have beaten Bob Orton last week to get this title shot! But, that's as far as it goes! The First Family does whatever it can to protect its assets! And the Tru TV Championship is right now our biggest asset, special referee Harley Race be damned!"

SH: "That was Jimmy Hart. Tony and Mark, back to you.")

Match 2 (Tru TV Championship - Special Referee: Harley Race)

Steve O (TVC) w/ Mgr. Jimmy Hart, Security Bubba Rogers & Bob Orton vs. 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich w/ Rick Martel & Tito Santana

(In-ring: Craig Johnson intro'd special ref Harley Race. Race came to the ring to a fair ovation. He was in ref's attire.

'Rocky Top' played and Tommy Rich came to the ring with Martel and Santana to a strong ovation. Rich slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. Rich was in a 'Wildfire' t-shirt, black tights with flames on the lower half and black boots with a flame design on them. Martel and Santana were in street clothes. Rich got in the ring and saluted the crowd.

'Bad To The Bone' filled the arena and Steve O (TVC), Mgr. Jimmy Hart, Bob Orton & Bubba Rogers came to the ring. O had the belt around his waist and was in leg-length red tights with a black star with silver trim on the back, sleeveless half shirt, black boots and sunglasses; Hart was in a suit with 'First Family' written across the back of the jacket, black shoes, sunglasses and carrying his trademark megaphone; Orton was in street clothes; Rogers was in a gray suit jacket that was unbuttoned, black shirt, gray slacks, fedora and black shoes.

O climbed into the ring, took off the belt and climbed on the middle buckle and held the belt aloft with one hand while pointing at himself RVD-style with his free hand.

Race went over to take the belt from O, but O said something to Race and gestured the belt was his before handing it over. Race held the belt up for all to see and then handed it off to Craig Johnson. Race then called Rich and O to center ring. O came to center ring with the First Family and Rich with Martel and Santana. Race laid down the ground rules and patted each man down. Race then sent each man to his corner. Orton turned and said something to Race and Race shot a glare at Orton. Hart had words with O and then he, Rogers and Orton left the ring for the floor. Martel and Santana gave Rich a final pep talk before heading to the floor.

Race called for the bell.

Both men charged out of their corners and engaged in a punch exchange that Rich got the better of. Rich went to whip O into the buckles but O reversed and sent Rich into them. O then charged at Rich, jumped in the air and spun around looking to nail Rich with an ass shot to the chest but Rich moved and O crashed ass-first into the buckles. O stumbled out of the corner and crashed to the mat. O got up and was greeted with more punches from Rich. Rich picked up the staggered O and bodyslammed him. Rich hit the ropes and came off and went to nail O with his running elbow smash but O rolled out of the way and Rich crashed to the mat. O to his feet and Rich followed and O caught Rich with a spinning back heel kick to the side of the head. Rich went down next to the ropes. O went over and grabbed the top rope and choked Rich out with his boot. O broke the illegal move at the count of 4. O looked back at Race and then turned and repeated the illegal move. This time Race didn't count and came up behind O and physically pulled him off and O went down. O quickly got up and started arguing with Race. While the two were exchanging words, Orton grabbed Rich and started strangling Rich on the middle rope. Orton let go when Martel and Santana came over to help Rich. Rich fell back in the ring holding his throat and gasping for air. Race saw Martel and Santana and ordered them back to their corner. The pair tried to explain what happened but Race stood firm. O moved in on Rich and dropped down and, with his body blocking Race's view, started choking Rich with his hands. Race then caught a glance and again yanked O off of Rich. O got in Race's face again and the two had more heated words. Orton grabbed Rich by the hair and pulled his head underneath the ropes and off the apron. Rich's head was hanging down as Bubba Rogers came over and nailed Rich with a forearm smash to the chest. Martel and Santana charged over and jumped on Rogers and Orton and the four started fighting at ringside. Race turned and saw this, ordered O to a neutral corner and immediately gestured for Johnson to give him the ring mic. The brief brawl ended with both sides glaring at each other on the floor and each side taunting the other to continue the fight.

HR: "That's it! I'm not gonna put up with this! Whoever wins this match will do it on their own! Rick Martel and Tito Santana, I am ordering you to vacate the ringside area effective immediately!"

Tito and Martel were beside themselves and the fans were confused.

HR: "You must leave now or I am throwing the match out! Go!"

After a few more futile words and animated response from the floor, Race forcefully pointed back up the aisle and the pair left. Hart, Rogers and Orton were giddy at ringside and O appeared happy as a stunned Rich stood in a neutral corner.

HR: Bubba Rogers and Bob Orton! I know you two started the fight we just witnessed! You two are also outta here! Leave the ringside area...NOW!"

The trio on the floor was now not so happy and Rogers and Orton were hesitant to leave.

HR: "You can go without any trouble...or I have been given permission by the championship committee to throw out the match and strip Steve O of the Tru TV Championship!"

Crowd cheered. O wildly gesturing from the ring for Rogers and Orton to get out of Dodge. Hart doing the same thing, pleading with them to go. Rogers and Orton turned and headed back up the aisle but not before Rogers turned and shot a menacing glance in Race's direction as Race just looked on before heading to the back.

HR: "Wait a minute! I forgot one thing! Jimmy Hart...you're outta here, too! Leave the ringside area this minute!"

Hart was now going nuts and O wasn't liking this either. Hart tried to argue with Race.

HR: "You know what will happen if you don't go! I've already explained it! Hit the bricks, Hart!"

Hart had a brief tantrum and then stomped his way back up the aisle as the fans roared.

Race gestured for the two to resume wrestling. O went up and got in Race's face again and started jawing at him. Rich came up behind O and rolled O up from behind for the pin. 1...2...thr... O kicked out. O got up and went to punch Rich but Rich blocked the punch try, nailed O with a head shot of his own, whipped O into the ropes and caught O coming off with a hot shot. O snapped back and crashed to the mat. Rich quickly for the cover. 1...2... O kicked out. Rich grabbed O and whipped O into the buckles and charged in looking to hit O with a clothesline but O moved and Rich slammed front-first into the buckles. O got to his feet as Rich turned around and walked right into gut kick from O and then a rolling neckbreaker. O for the cover and hooked the leg. 1...2...thr... Rich kicked out. O grabbed Rich and nailed him with a suplex. O then stole a page from Rich's playbook and nailed Rich in the head with a fist drop. O jumped up, raised his fist in the air and went to repeat the move but Rich rolled out of the way and O slammed his fist into the mat. O got up holding his hand as Rich made it to his feet and caught O with a clothesline to the side of the head. O stumbled and crashed to the mat. Rich grabbed the downed O's left leg and locked O into the spinning toe hold. O fighting not to submit in the hold as he inched towards the ropes. O got close to the ropes and almost had his hand on the bottom rope but Rich kept the hold locked in and dragged O back to the middle of the ring. O fought some more and seemed on the verge of tapping when he was able to use his free leg to kick Rich off. Rich went down. Rich got up as O got to his knees. Rich reached down and grabbed O started pulling O up when O stunned Rich with a jawbreaker to the top of the head. Rich crashed to the mat. O limping a little as he still felt the effects of the toe hold. O stomped Rich a couple of times, snapped Rich up and then whipped Rich into the ropes and caught Rich coming off with a dropkick. Rich back down. Rich got up next to the ropes and O moved in and struck Rich in the gut with a series of knees. O whipped Rich into the buckles and charged in and jumped and nailed Rich with an ass-first shot to the chest. Rich limp in the corner. O whipped Rich into the opposite buckles and then followed Rich in with a hand-spring elbow to the chest. O then grabbed the hurting Rich and threw him out of the corner and Rich crashed helplessly to the mat. O turned to Race and gestured by wiping his hands together that Rich was done. Rich started getting up and O stunned Rich with a head shot. O then bodyslammed Rich. O went over and mounted the top buckle facing the crowd. O came off with a moonsault that connected. O covered Rich for the pin. 1...2...thr... Rich kicked out. O got up and yelled at Race that it was a three count. O snapped Rich up, whipped Rich into the ropes and looked to catch Rich coming off with a clothesline but Rich ducked the move and came back and nailed O with a Thesz Press followed by several head shots. O down and hurting as a hurting Rich made his way to his feet.

Rich grabbed O, whipped O into the ropes and caught O coming off with a flapjack. O slammed front-first into the mat and rolled over on his back. Rich then nailed O with a fist drop to the head. Suddenly, Larry Zbysko came charging down to ringside and jumped up on the apron. Race saw Zbysko and ordered him off the apron. Zbysko started arguing with Race as Rich positioned O for a turnbuckle move. Rich went out on the apron and mounted the top buckle and came off with a second fist drop that connected. O flatlined. Zbysko stepped into the ring and was arguing with Race. Another man came charging down the aisle. He was in a loud Hawaiian shirt, jeans, and black shoes.

Madden: "Hey! That's Don Muraco! Haven't seen him for a couple of months!"

Muraco snuck over by the ring. Zbysko and Race still arguing. Rich ran to hit the ropes and Muraco pulled down the top rope and Rich toppled over and crashed to the floor. In the ring, Zbysko punched Race. Muraco grabbed Rich off the floor and rammed him back-first into the ring apron and quickly threw the hurting Rich back in the ring. Race, after being briefly stunned, pummeled Zbysko with a barrage of punches as Muraco snuck back up the aisle and vanished. O was now recovering and getting to his feet. Race threw the dazed Zbysko out of the ring to the floor. O circled around behind Rich as Rich slowly made his way to his feet. Rich got up, turned around and was greeted by O's codebreaker finisher. Rich helplessly crashed back to the mat. O covered Rich. 1...2...3! Race got up and called for the bell.

Race went over and had a few words for Craig Johnson and took the belt. Race went over to O, now on his feet, raised O's hand in victory and handed O the title. O then held the belt up in Race's face and said that he was still the champ despite Race being the ref. O then arrogantly hoisted the belt in the air as the fans booed.

CJ: "Your winner! In a time of 12 minutes, 19 seconds...and STILL the Tru TV Champion...Steve O!"

A recovering Zbysko shown looking on from the entrance stage and shaking his head affirmatively at what just transpired. O then left the ring and dropped to the floor and slung the belt over his shoulder and headed back up the aisle to boos.

WINNER: O - Pinfall - Codebreaker - 12:19)

(Announcers discussed the wild finish to the TV Title match and O retaining. Discussed Zbysko coming out and distracting Race from his ref duties and Muraco's surprise return and his role in costing Rich the match. Said the Flair decision on whether to defend the World Title against good friend the Dynamite Kid was next!)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "Fans! It is decision time!

"With me at this time is WCW Championship Committee member Tony Garea."

Garea waved to the fans and was holding a clipboard.

CJ: "And now! Would you please welcome the WCW World Champion...'Nature Boy' Ric Flair!"

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' filled the arena and Flair came to the ring. Flair had the World Title cradled in his left arm. Flair climbed into the ring and briefly acknowledged the crowd. He had a mic.

Cj: "And his would-be challenger! From England...the Dynamite Kid!"

'London Calling' by The Clash filled the arena and Kid came to the ring in a black leather jacket, 'Dynamite Kid' t-shirt, jeans and black shoes. Kid slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring and then got in the ring and saluted the crowd. Kid then reached into his jacket and brandished a mic.

CJ: "Gentlemen. Last week, Dynamite Kid, you challenged your good friend Ric Flair to a World Title match. Ric said he would give you his answer this week as to whether or not he'd put the title on the line against you. Let's forgo the suspense and..."

DK: "Craig, before this goes any further, I just want to tell Ric that no matter what his decision, we will remain friends. I have the utmost respect for this man. And I know that he has several challengers lining up to face him with the belt on the line. If I can't get a title shot right now, I do hope it will happen sometime in the future. That's all I've got to say."

RF: "Dynamite, we've become like brothers here in WCW. We've already been through a lot together. I have to admit that I was taken aback when you came out last week and asked me for a shot at the gold. I needed some time to be able to think clearly since I had just wrestled a match. You are truly an innovator in our sport. You're a great credit to it. These fans love your daredevil style and I love watching you wrestle as well. Some of the stuff you do just leaves me in awe. I believe that I'm a man who can match up with any wrestler of any style. You have your own unique style, Dynamite, that separates you from the pack. I think it would be a real challenge for me to step into the squared circle with you.

"Dynamite, Tony Garea is out here for a reason. I informed him and other members of the championship committee of my decision over the weekend and swore them to secrecy. I wanted to be the one to tell you this on national TV.

"I accept your challenge, Dynamite. And I will put the World Title on the line against you."

Cheers from the crowd as Kid and Flair shook hands and briefly hugged.

CJ: "Tony Garea. I think you've got something for these gentlemen."

TG: "Ric and Dynamite, I have on this clipboard the contract for your World Championship match. Dynamite, would you do the honors and sign first."

Garea handed Kid the contract and pen and Kid flipped to the back page and signed the contract and handed the clipboard back to Garea.

TG: "Champ, you're up."

RF: "It'll be an honor."

Flair took the clipboard, signed the contract and handed it back to Garea.

TG: "Congratulations, gentlemen! It will be Ric Flair defending the WCW World Heavyweight Title against the Dynamite Kid two weeks from tonight on the February 9th edition of 'Mayhem'."

A couple of photographers climbed up on the apron and took pictures of the pair shaking hands.

Picture switched to the backstage area. The camera panned back and an over the shoulder shot of Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey was shown as he was watching this all unfold on a monitor.

The program then faded to black.)

WCW MAYHEM - EP. 42 - MONROE, LA - MONROE CIVIC CENTER - 2-2-16 (Taped)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and then ran down the program: 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin vs. Abdullah The Butcher; interviews with World Champion Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid as they head into their World Title showdown next week; Nord The Barbarian sees action; Tito Santana and Rick Martel have a special announcement; and more!)

(Announcers intro'd video from the end of last week's TV Title match between Steve O (TVC) and Tommy Rich.

VIDEO:

Rich mounted the top buckle and came off with a second fist drop that connected.

Theme from the original 'Hawaii Five-O' played and out came Don Muraco to loud boos. He was in street clothes and had a mic. On his way to the ring, Muraco stopped and looked around at the booing throng before getting to ringside and climbing into the ring. Muraco walked around and continued to soak in the boos before speaking.

DM: "I have an announcement to make. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!"

More boos as Muraco chuckled at the response.

DM: "You white trash can boo me all you like. Come on. Louder!"

Muraco held his mic in the air and walked around the ring as the boos continued.

DM: "It's music to my ears, man! You know what I realized while I was out recovering from a neck injury for the last three months? I realized that you people really love me. Oh! You boo me like there's no tomorrow. But, deep down, you love me. And do you know why you love me? It's because I tell the truth about you white trash and you respect that. You know you're the scum of the earth. You know you're the lowest form of life there is on the planet. And you love the fact that I tell you that directly. I pull no punches with the white trash set.

"Moving on. You all are probably wondering why I did what I did to Tommy Rich during his match last week. The answer to that is simple. If any wrestler epitomizes white trash in WCW, it's 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich. He truly disgusts me. I showed up here at the arena unannounced last week and when I read the rundown sheet for the show posted on the wall in the back, my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw Tommy Rich had a chance to become the Tru TV Champion. There was no way I could allow that to happen. That piece of white trash holding any title other than King of Trailer Park is not right.

"You white trash in this audience, you're entitled to nothing good. Your life is meant to be one of misery and isolation and chronic body odor. Your clothes are supposed to be too small and your shoes are supposed to have holes in them so your green toes can get some fresh air. Your fathers are supposed to pretend to be at work when in reality they're at the local watering hole spending what little they have on pull tabs, cheap beer and a quickie with a bargain hooker named Erma. No one is supposed to have 32 teeth in the world of white trash. I could go on and on. These are the kind of people that Tommy Rich represents. It's garbage representing garbage.

"I am proud of what I did to Tommy Rich. You in the white trash universe don't deserve to be happy. And a Tommy Rich TV Title win would have made you happy. And I, like millions of others, couldn't stand to see that."

A man dressed in a janitor's coverall with the collar flipped up, wearing glasses and a cap pulled down over his eyes came down to the ring with a push broom in hand and started sweeping the floor at ringside.

DM: "What the hell is this? Oh wait! I don't believe it! It's white trash that actually has a job! Nice to see one of you actually working! You just continue on with your work. Earn that $5.50 an hour, boy! Hahaha!"

Muraco turned back to facing the camera.

DM: "As I was saying, Tommy Rich couldn't win last week because joy would have reigned in the trailer parks and we can't have that. Not at all."

On the floor, the man pulled off his hat and glasses revealing himself to be Tommy Rich. Fans started cheering. Rich took the broom and climbed up on the apron behind Muraco and quietly climbed into the ring.

DM: "I look at myself as a man fighting a war against the white trash menace. I am..."

WHAM!

Rich came up behind Muraco and slammed Muraco across the back with the wooden broom handle. Muraco dropped the mic and was hurting. Rich nailed Muraco with the broom handle again across the back and this time the handle broke. Muraco staggering around the ring in great pain as the fans cheered. Rich then moved in and nailed Muraco in the head with a series of punches and then whipped Muraco into the ropes but Muraco quickly grabbed the top rope, dropped to the mat, and rolled out of the ring to the safety of the floor. Muraco in great pain as Rich looked down from the ring. Rich picked up Muraco's mic.

TR: "Muraco! If you want a fight with a proud Southern white boy...then you've got one!"

Crowd cheered even more as Muraco started hobbling his way back up the aisle and Rich stood tall in the ring.)

(Announcers discussed the Muraco-Rich confrontation. Hyped still to come: Abdullah vs. Bill Irwin; Interviews w/ Ric Flair (WC) and Dynamite Kid as they prepare for their World Title tilt next week; and more! Said Nord sees action after the break.)

Match 1

Nord The Barbarian vs. George South

(South was already in the ring and introduced.

'Deaf Forever' by Motorhead played and out came Nord to strong boos. Nord stomped around briefly on the entrance stage waving his chain Valhalla in the air before heading down the aisle to the ring. Nord was in his fur-lined vest, black tights with a white life rune on the back, and fur-lined wrestling boots.

Nord got in the ring and stomped around and waved his chain in the air. Nord then shook the chain in South's face and South backed into the corner. Ref ordered Nord to lose the chain. Nord had words with the ref and then shook the chain in the ref's direction and the ref backed off and once again ordered Nord to get rid of the chain. After a little more stomping around and chain waving, Nord draped the chain over the top ring bolt that connects the turnbuckle to the post.

Nord dominated the match and threw around South like a rag-doll. Nord hit South with several moves and had South pinned on three separate occasions but pulled the defeated South up at the count of 2 each time. Nord worked over South a little and then whipped South into the ropes and caught South coming off with a boot to the face and South crashed helplessly to the mat. Paul Orndorff, in street clothes, made his way to ringside as Nord nailed South with his flying leg drop finisher. Nord covered South and looked over and saw Orndorff. Before the ref could count, Nord got up and bolted the ring and dropped to the floor and marched over to Orndorff and started having words with him. Ref counting. South still laid out in the ring. Nord and Orndorff continued to have words as the count grew. Nord went over and grabbed his chain off the ring bolt and threatened to hit Orndorff with it as Orndorff stood his ground. Ref suddenly called for the bell. Nord looked back up at the ref and quickly slid back into the ring and got to his feet. Ref went over and raised the still out of it South's hand in victory. Nord had a few words with the ref. Nord then immediately walked over by the ropes where Orndorff was and started yelling at Orndorff as Orndorff started pointing and laughing at Nord. Nord was furious. Orndorff went over and took the mic from Craig Johnson.

PO: "Nord, congratulations! You were just defeated by George South! That makes you a loser! Loser! Loser! Loser!"

Crowd started chanting 'Loser' at Nord and Nord was now in complete meltdown mode in the ring. Nord covered his ears to silence the crowd and then he started walking around in the ring and yelling for the fans to shut up but it did no good. A wobbly South was now out of the ring and down on the floor on his feet and Orndorff came over and raised South's hand in victory to more applause form the crowd. Nord now glaring furiously down at Orndorff.

Mic picked up Nord.

Nord: "I hate you, Orndorff! There's gonna be hell to pay for what you did!"

Orndorff smiled and waved at Nord and helped the victorious but shaky South back up the aisle as an angry Nord continued to brood in the ring.

WINNER: South - Count Out - 5:28)

(Announcers discussed the stunning finish to the Nord-South match and the confrontation between Nord and Orndorff. Hyped still to come: Abdullah vs. Bill Irwin; interviews with WC Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid as they prepare for their title match next week; and more. Then sent it to Scott Hudson.)

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Thank you, Tony and Mark. What an interesting night it's been so far here on 'Mayhem'. And it's gonna get a lot more interesting with our main event pitting the 'Mad Man from the Sudan' Abdullah The Butcher of the Sheik's Army against this man. 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin, come on in here."

Irwin walked into the interview area in his ring attire.

SH: "Bill, tonight you are wrestling one of the most unpredictable wrestlers in the world in Abdullah The Butcher. How do you prepare for a match like this?"

BI: "That's a good question, Scott. You can't really prepare for a wrestler like Abdullah because you just don't know what he's going to do. Unlike most wrestlers who do certain things at certain times in a match, Abdullah is a guy you just can't read. You never know what he'll do from one moment to the next and that makes him extremely dangerous. I don't think this will be a match as much as it is gonna be a fight."

SH: "We know that Abdullah keeps a well-hidden weapon on him that officials have a hard time finding when they pat him down. And he wields that stick or fork or whatever it is with great dexterity. He's carved up many an opponent with that weapon and he will probably have it somewhere on his person tonight."

BI: "That's the one sure thing about Abdullah. That weapon. I know he has it and he will most likely try and use it on me. If he catches me with it, he'll gash me good. But, even if he succeeds in slicing me open with that thing or knocking me senseless with it, I've got to suck it up and give it everything I have in that ring to survive. This guy is ruthlessness personified. And when you consider the weight he carries on his frame, that makes him even more lethal. But I'm here to fight! And that's just what I'm gonna do! This thing could get real ugly before it's all over, Scott! And I can do ugly pretty damn well myself!"

Camera close-up on Hudson.

SH: "That was Bill Irwin. The main event promises to be one wild affair. When we come back, a major announcement from Rick Martel and Tito Santana.")

(Commercials)

(In-ring: Rick Martel and Tito Santana.

Music-only version of 'Synchronicity 2' by The Police filled the arena and out came Santana and Martel to a decent ovation. Both were in street clothes and had mics. They slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. Once in the ring, they acknowledged the crowd.

RM: "Tito and I are out here because we have an announcement to make. You see, we've been friends for a long time. And some of you may not know this. We used to be tag team partners."

TS: "And we were World Tag Team Champions at one time. We've been talking about it lately and decided it was time to get back together. So, we are pleased to announce the reformation of our team...Strike Force! Ariba!"

Modest cheers.

RM: "That's right. Our run as Strike Force before was one of the best times of our careers! We're re-uniting because we know what we can do together! As Strike Force we are a strong force! I am excited about this opportunity! And we have our sights set on one thing here in WCW!"

TS: "Our goal is to be the World Tag Team Champions once again! We're confident that we can re-capture the magic in 2016 and achieve our primary goal!"

RM: "So, everyone get ready! Strike Force is back and we're gonna be better than ever!"

TS: "Ariba!"

Fair amount of cheers as the Tito raised Martel's hand in victory and the pair turned to all four sides of the ring and soaked in the crowd reaction before leaving the ring and heading back up the aisle.)

(Announcers discussed the announcement from Martel and Santana.)

(Announcers then intro'd video of pre-recorded interviews with World Champion Ric Flair and Dynamite Kid about their upcoming WT match next week.

VIDEO:

Craig Johnson was seated in a chair in a gym with Dynamite Kid. Kid was sitting on the end of a weight bench in a tank top and workout shorts. Kid had a towel draped aorund his neck and quickly wiped the sweat off his face.

CJ: "Hello, fans. This is Craig Johnson on location for World Class Wrestling. I'm with the Dynamite Kid as he prepares for his chance to become the next WCW World Champion when he faces champion Ric Flair on 'Mayhem' next week.

"Dynamite, it looks like you've really upped your workout regimin as you prepare for the biggest match of your career."

DK: "I have, Craig. The workouts have been quite strenuous this past week as I get ready. A lot of time in the gym lifting weights and sparring in the ring. Plus, lots of video study."

CJ: "You and Ric Flair know each other well. What do you look for when you study some of his matches?"

DK: "You look for little things that you might be able to seize upon and take advantage of. Every wrestler has a certain style. They have strengths and weaknesses. As you can guess, Ric Flair has very few weaknesses. So, the video study is a long process in this case. You really have to break things down. With Flair, it's almost like a case of blink and you'll miss it when looking for any weak spots."

CJ: "Have you found anything on the videos you think you might be able to exploit?"

DK (chuckles): "I can't comment on that, Craig. You know better than that. Whatever information I might have, I'll take it with me into the ring next Tuesday night."

CJ: "People have said you're a great tag team wrestler but not a guy that can win the World Heavyweight Title mainly because of your size. What do you say to that?"

DK: "In the past, that may have been true because I wouldn't have even been allowed to challenge for the World Title because I'm not a big man. But thankfully, times have changed. We've seen guys my size capture the World Title in other promotions. That gives me a lot of inspiration and confidence heading into this match with Flair."

CJ: "Even though you said it wouldn't, is there a part of you that believes that this match could wind up affecting your friendship with the champ?"

DK: "Look, Ric and me have a solid friendship. But when we step into that ring next week, we both know that our friendship will be put aside. He wants to retain the World Title and I want to win it. Can friends do things they normally wouldn't do in a situation like this to get what they want? Of course. It's the nature of the beast in this business. Could our friendship be affected by this match? Yes, it could. Men have become bitter enemies over a lot less. But, I'm pretty confident when all is said and done, anything negative that may come about between us in this match will be soon forgiven and forgotten."

CJ: "If you were an oddsmaker, would you give yourself a good chance to walk out of the ring next week as the new WCW World Champion?"

DK: "Not to sound arrogant, but I do like my chances very much. Ric Flair said last week that he's never wrestled someone like me before. Based on that, I feel like I might have a little bit of an advantage heading into this match. I've worked hard to get to this point in my career. To be able to step into the ring with the man that many people are already saying is the best pro wrestler of all-time and having a chance to win the most prestigious belt in our sport, that's not an opportunity that comes along that often in ones career. I intend to take full advantage of this situation and look to become the new World Champion."

CJ: "Dynamite, thank you for your time and good luck next week."

DK: "Thank you, Craig."

Picture flipped and Scott Hudson was sitting with Ric Flair at an upscale bar. Flair was in a suit and tie. Hudson had a beer sitting in front of him and Flair had a 7 & 7.

SH: "Scott Hudson here. I'm talking with WCW World Champion 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. Ric, we're just one week away from your title defense against good friend the Dynamite Kid. What are your thoughts heading into this match-up?"

RF: "I'm excited, Scott. I'm looking forward to the challenge of facing Dynamite. I've never faced a guy who wrestles like Kid. Pro wrestling is often referred to as 'human chess'. This will be a top-tier match-up of that 'human chess'. The moves and counter-moves will be something to see. Who can come up with that move or series of moves that checkmates their opponent? The fans will be on the edges of their seats for this one. I can guarantee you that."

SH: "You're known to be one of the biggest fitness guys in the business. Is there anything special you're working on to prepare for this match?"

RF: "Training and proper diet are very important, of course. But, the thing I'm really concentrating on at this time is my cardio. I take great pride in my stamina. But, Kid can cut a blistering pace and I'll need to be in peak condition cardio-wise to stay at the top of my game in this match-up."

SH: "You two are good friends. What happens when the bell sounds to start your match next week?"

RF: "Friendship flies out the window and it's all business. This sport is all about winning and losing and championships. I want to hold on to the World Title; Dynamite wants to win it. Hopefully, our friendship will withstand this match no matter the end result. It's that simple. The only way to know how this all shakes out is to watch the match on 'Mayhem' next week."

SH: "You just said that you 'hope' your friendship will withstand this match. Are you saying that a match between you two could cause a rift in the friendship?"

RF: "I've been around this business long enough to see what matches can do to friendships and alliances. They can tear them apart. I hope that doesn't happen between us. But, pro wrestling is such that in many cases friendships can be very fragile and splinter in an instance."

SH: "That only adds to the intrigue coming into this match."

RF: "It should. Because there are no guarantees in this business."

SH: "Do you think Dynamite will be your toughest challenge to date as WCW World Champion?"

RF: "All challengers are tough and real threats. If they weren't legitimate threats to win the World Title then they wouldn't be getting shots at the gold. What Dynamite is is the most unique challenger I've faced so far. His move set is second to none. One wrong move and I could be the former World Champion next Tuesday. You watch his matches and you're left in awe at what the man can do. He's a dangerous opponent in that he can beat you so many ways.

"But, as I've shown repeatedly in my career, I'm good at making adjustments on the fly in the ring. And I'm counting on my ability to do that and remain the WCW World Champion."

SH: "Changing the subject, Ric."

RF: "Ah! Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey, right?"

SH: "That's right. Have you looked into what he's been saying the last two weeks about wanting to sign you to the most lucrative contract in wrestling history to wrestle for his Army?"

RF: "I have finally had the chance to watch his appearances on 'Mayhem' the last two weeks. I have decided that before my big match with Dynamite next week, I'm gonna give El-Kaissey my answer as to whether or not I'll accept his offer."

SH: "So, this will be determined once and for all next week?"

RF: "That's right. I want to tell El-Kaissey my answer right to his face and in the ring."

SH: "Have you made your decision on this yet?"

RF: "I have indeed. But...next week...I'll reveal it to the wrestling world."

SH: "Thanks for your time, Ric. Best of luck against Dynamite."

RF: "Thank you."

(Backstage: Scott Hudson with Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey.

SH: "Welcome back to 'Mayhem' everyone. With me right now is the manager of the Sheik's Army, Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey.

"Sheik, we just heard in the pre-recorded interview I did with Ric Flair a couple of days ago that he will give you his answer next week

regarding whether he will join your Army or not. Do you feel confident that Flair's decision will be in your favor?"

AK: "I feel extremely confident, Scott Hudson! When Ric Flair looks at what I am offering him how can he say no?! Once he signs on the dotted line and joins my Army, he will become the richest pro wrestler ever! His legacy will become even greater than it already is! Whatever he wants to buy, he will be able to afford it with no problem! That's how much money he will make working for me! He will be on easy street! He will be able to retire early! The only thing he has to do is wrestle like we know he can wrestle! He just has to remain the top man in our sport and Ric Flair will have the world at his feet!"

SH: "What if he says no to your offer?"

AK: "You'd be a fool to turn down the chance of a lifetime! And Ric Flair is not a fool!"

SH: "Sheik, tonight your man Abdullah The Butcher will be facing 'Long Rider' Bill Irwin in our main event in just a few minutes. This promises to be a wild affair."

AK: "A wild affair may be an understatement! I know that Bill Irwin can fight! But the question is, how well does he match up with a mad man like Abdullah?! And that will be answered tonight! Can Bill Irwin withstand the brutality he is guaranteed to feel tonight?! Some men think they're wild and unpredictable! But no one will outdo Abdullah or even Kamala in that category! And the infidels are about to witness it firsthand!"

SH: "That was Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey. His man Abdullah squares off against Bill Irwin and the match is happening now!")

Match 2

'Long Rider' Bill Irwin vs. Abdullah The Butcher w/ Mgr. Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey & Handler Kimchee

('Flirtin' With Disaster' by Molly Hatchet filled the arena and Irwin came out to a good ovation. He slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring. He was wearing a balck trenchcoat, 'Long Riders' t-shirt, jeans, cowboy-style wrestling boots and a blue bandana on his head. Once in the ring, Irwin briefly saluted the crowd.

'Cry of the Vatos' played and Abdullah, Kaissey and Kimchee came to the ring to boos. Abdullah was in his orange pants with black stripes on the outside of each leg and black wrestling boots with pointed toes. Kaissey was in an expensive suit, dress shoes and keffiyeh. Kimchee was in safari gear with short pants, white mask with brown trim, pith helmet and carrying a riding crop. The trio stepped into the ring and Kaissey and Kimchee had words with Abdullah.

Kaissey and Kimchee climbed out on the apron and Irwin was looking out at the crowd. Kimchee wildly gestured for Abby to move. Abdullah charged over and slammed into Irwin driving Irwin into the corner.

Ref called for the bell as Kaissey and Kimchee dropped to the floor.

Abby nailed Irwin with a head shot and then nailed Irwin in the side of the head with a headbutt. Irwin stumbled out of the corner bent over next to the ropes. Abby charged over and drove a knee into the side of Irwin's ribs and Irwin toppled through the top and middle rope down to the floor. Ref started the 20 count. Abby went to leave the ring but the ref intercepted him and ordered Abby back but Abby wouldn't listen and tried to leave the ring again and the ref got in his way and had his back turned to the floor. As the ref struggled to keep Abby back, Irwin slowly made it to his feet on the floor and Kimchee charged up behind Irwin and nailed him with a riding crop shot to the back. Irwin went down to his knees. Abby shoved the ref out of the way and left the ring and dropped to the floor. Irwin got up and Abby came up behind Irwin, grabbed him by the hair and nailed Irwin with a headbutt to the back of the head and Irwin stumbled forward. Ref counting. Irwin holding the back of his head. Abby came up behind Irwin and clobbered Irwin with a a forearm smash to the back and then threw Irwin into the barricade and Irwin went down in a heap. Count growing as Abby stomped on Irwin. Kimchee came over and gestured wildly for Abby to get back into the ring. Abby quickly rolled in and out of the ring to break the ref's count. Irwin sitting up next to the barricade and hurting. Abby nailed Irwin with a kick to the chest and grabbed Irwin and threw Irwin back into the ring. Irwin got to all fours and Abby kicked Irwin right in the gut with the pointed toe of his boot. Irwin rolled over and grabbed his stomach. Kaissey started yelling at the ref from the floor. Ref looked over at Kaissey as Abby pulled Irwin up and grabbed Irwin in a side headlock and nailed Irwin with an an open hand throat-thrust. Irwin crashed back down to the mat. Kaissey climbed up to a knee on the apron and the ref ordered him back to the floor. Kaissey argued. Abby reached into his massive pants and brandished his trusty foreign object. Irwin got up to his knees and Abby grabbed Irwin under the chin and drove the object twice into Irwin's forehead. Irwin went down face-first on the mat. Kaissey suddenly stopped arguing with the ref and Abby returned the weapon to his pants. Ref turned as Abby dropped a big elbow into the small of Irwin's back and then rolled a now bloody Irwin over and covered him for the pin. 1...2... Irwin got a shoulder up. Abby pulled Irwin up by the hair and staggered him with another headbutt. Irwin fell against the ropes. Abby then nailed Irwin with a trip of chops to the top of the head and Irwin slumped and fell back through the top and middle rope and back down to the floor. Abby completely ignored the ref and left the ring and dropped to the floor and grabbed Irwin and hoisted Irwin up on his shoulder and went to ram Irwin's head into the ring post but Irwin escaped from Abby's grasp, dropped to his feet behind Abby and shoved Abby forward and Abby slammed head-first into the post and Abby stumbled forward and went down. Irwin crumpled to the floor. Ref counting.

Irwin managed to get to his feet. Abby slowly getting up. Abby now bleeding. Irwin charged over and jumped on Abby and started pounding the hell out of the big man. Abby staggered. Irwin threw Abby back into the ring. Irwin followed Abby in as Abby got to his knees and Irwin nailed Abby with a couple of kicks to the chest. Abby made it to his feet. Irwin ran and hit the ropes and came off and nailed Abby with a head shot. Irwin repeated the move and Abby was staggered. Irwin then did the move a third time and Abby wobbled and crashed to the mat.. Irwin maneuvered Abby into position for a turnbuckle move. WCW MAYHEM - EP. 43 - HUNTSVILLE, AL - PROPST ARENA - 2-9-16 (Live)

(Show Intro)

(Crowd Shots/Pyro)

(Announcers Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden welcomed viewers and ran down the program: WCW World Title: Flair (WC) vs. Dynamite Kid; 'Long Rider' Scott Irwin vs. Kamala; the debut of Strike Force; and more. Said it was decision time. Ric Flair will announce if he's going to accept Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey's lucrative offer to join the Sheik's Army.)

(In-ring: The Decision.

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' filled the arena and out came World Champion Ric Flair to a huge ovation. Flair was already in his ring gear and wearing his black, white and sequined robe wiht feather lining. Ric Flair climbed into the ring and strutted for the fans and yelled 'Whoo!' and the fans responded in kind. Flair had a mic.

RF: "For the last several weeks, Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey has made no secret of the fact that he wants me to sign a contract to become a member of his Army. He says it will be the richest contract in wrestling history. I am out here to announce my decision. Would Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey please come to the ring."

'Cry of the Vatos' played and out came Kaissey to strong boos. He was in an expensive suit, jewelry, dress shoes and a keffiyeh. He had a mic. Kaissey climbed into the ring and was beaming.

RF: "Sheik Adnan."

AK: "How do you say it, Ric? Ah, yes. Whoo! It's music to my ears. Haha! And I think it will sound a lot sweeter in just a few minutes."

RF: "I had to take some time to seriously digest the offer you were making me. If you're on the level, it's impressive to say the least. The most lucrative contract in the sport's history, huh? I already make a great living..."

AK: "Ric, let me just tell you something, my good friend. I have here in my inside breast pocket a check."

RF: "A check?"

AK: "Yes. Let's just say that it would be a down payment for your services as the centerpiece of the Sheik's Army. Would you like to see it?"

RF: "Sure."

Sheik reached into his inside suit breast pocket and brandished a check and handed it to Flair. Flair looked at the Sheik and then down at the check.

RF: "Wow!"

AK: "Are you impressed?"

RF: "That...I have never seen a check for that much money in my life and I've had some big paydays."

AK: "The only thing you have to do, Ric, is endorse the back of that check and sign a contract that my lawyers are currently drawing up for you and that money is all yours. And much, much more will follow. I guarantee you that."

Flair kept staring at the check almost like he was mesmerized by it.

RF: "Heh heh. I can tell that you're serious about making me the richest wrestler of all-time. And this check is just a down payment?"

AK: "Let's call it a well-deserved signing bonus for the greatest wrestler in the world, eh?

"Just say 'yes' to me, Ric, and your good life becomes a life in the rarified air of the one percent when all is said and done. Think of it. You own a big house right now. Sign with me and you'll be able to buy homes all over the world. You'll have your own private jet with full-time pilot standing by to take you anywhere you want to go and a full-time team of mechanics. You'll own a fleet of top of the line automobiles. Don't want to drive? You can have limos drive you around and not have to worry about the cost. The finest food and drink will be yours all the time. All you have to do is join my Army. Do we have a deal, champ?"

Flair looked at the check and then at Kaissey and started laughing and Kaissey joined in. Flair shook his head as he looked at the check. Sheik was beaming. Flair then extended his hand to the Sheik. Sheik gladly shook Flair's hand and the two smiled broadly at one another. Flair then stepped back and Sheik couldn't stop smiling. Flair laughed a little more and looked again at the check. Sheik was laughing along. Flair then tore up the check and tossed the pieces in Sheik's face. Crowd popped. Sheik was stunned.

AK: "What...what are you doing?!"

RF: "That's my answer to your offer, Sheik!"

AK: "You shook my hand! We had a deal!"

RF: "No. I just shook your hand. We had no deal because of it. My answer was given when I tore up the check. I've never seen money like that thrown my way ever. But, I already have a great life. I make a good living doing what I love. Working for you would be like selling my soul to the devil."

AK: "The devil! You call me the devil?! Flair! You call me out here so you can humiliate me by rejecting my offer in the fashion you did! This offense will not go without a response! You're just like these infidels out here! And you will be punished, Flair! Mark my words!"

Sheik angrily turned and stormed out of the ring and headed back up the aisle as Flair looked on.)

(Announcers discussed Flair turning down Sheik's offer and Sheik vowing revenge. Hyped still to come: World Title: Flair (WC) vs. Kid; Kamala vs. Scott Irwin; and more. Said Strike Force sees action next!)

Music-only version of 'Synchronicity 2' played and out came Strike Force to a solid ovation. Rick Martel and Tito Santana were wearing white tights with two red lightning bolts on the back and a red 'SF' logo in the shape of the 'SF' on the San Francisco Giants' ballcaps between the bolts, white boots with a red lightning bolt on the outside of each boot and 'Strike Fore' t-shirts. The pair slapped hands with fans on the way to the ring.

WINNER: Strike Force - Pinfall - Santana hit Conquistador #1 with the Double Flying Forearm Smash - 4:11)

(Post-Match: Craig Johnson climbed into the ring to interview Strike Force.

CJ: "Rick Martel and Tito Santana. That was quite an impressive victory as the newly re-united Strike Force."

RM: "It's great to be back together as a team, Craig. We had a lot of success as Strike Force in the past. We're looking to pick up where we left off."

CJ: "You made it quite clear last week that you're looking to win the World Tag Team Titles here. It's you number one goal. What do you think you'll have to do to move up the tag team ranks to get a championship shot?"

TS: "We've got our work cut out for us. We know it's gonna take a lot of hard work to get to where we want to be. But, we've been World Tag Team Champions before, so we know what it takes to get to the top."

CJ: "You two have..."

Jimmy Hart, in a suit, and security Big Bubba Rogers, also in a suit, walked out onto the entrance stage. Hart had a mic.

JH: "Oh! Isn't this just a feel good story! Look, Bubba, it's Strike Force! The First Family is so scared!"

RM: "What do you want, Jimmy?"

JH: "What I just came out here for is to let you know that if you want to one day get a shot at being the World Tag team Champions, you're gonna have to go through us, baby!"

CJ: "What does that mean?"

JH: "What it means is that the First Family wants a crack at those World Tag Team Titles, too! And we're not letting some tag team that just formed leapfrog over us to get that title shot!"

TS: "You want a match with us?!"

JH: "You bet I do, Tito! You need to beat a team like TV Champion Steve O and 'Cowboy' Bob Orton before you can even think about going after the tag team titles!"

RM: "You don't have to ask us twice. We welcome a match with Orton and O."

JH: "That's just great! Let's get a deal worked out and have the match ASAP! The winner will undoubtedly be the top contenders for the tag belts!"

TS: "Give a us contract and we'll sign it."

JH: "Can you write in English, Tito? We need to be able to make sure that the contract is valid."

RM: "You just keep stoking the fires, Jimmy. In the end, you're the one who will get burned."

Brief staredown between the two sides as the segment ended.)

(Announcers said that after the show Scott Hudson went to Huntsville Hospital, where Flair was taken, and spoke to the doctor who examined Flair.)

(VIDEO:

Scott Hudson was standing with the doctor in a hallway at the hospital.

SH: "We are coming to you from Huntsville Hospital. This is where Ric Flair was brought after the vicious attack he suffered at the hands of Kamala and Abdullah The Butcher during his World Title match with the Dynamite Kid.

"I'm standing here with doctor Ed Steele, who is the doctor who has treated Flair since he arrived. Doctor, can you tell us the extent of Flair's injuries?"

ES: "Sure. We took Mr. Flair in for x-rays and the images show three cracked ribs on his left side. The good news there is that the ribs are cracked and not completely broken. However, this is a very delicate situation and one wrong move here or there and one or all of those ribs could possibly break. There's also cartilage damage and some internal bruising."

SH: "So, none of these injuries are career-threatening then?"

ES: "No, they are not career-threatening. But, he is gonna be on the shelf for a while. This man who jumped on him repeatedly, Kamala, is not a normal sized man even by pro wrestling standards. He weighs well over 300 pounds. And repeated impact like that against your body can be very damaging. What Mr. Flair is gonna need is lots of rest and it's imperative he takes it easy the next several weeks and does nothing to exacerbate his injuries."

SH: "With these types of injuries, can you give us a rough timeline of how long you expect him to be out of action?"

ES: "Cracked ribs usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to totally heal. But, because Mr. Flair's in excellent condition, if he just takes it easy and properly tends to his injuries, the recovery time could be a little less."

SH: "How is Ric holding up right now?"

ES: "He's hurting, obviously. He's in great pain at the moment. And, being the competitor he is, he is very frustrated right now. You can tell he wants to get off that bed and go back to the arena and start wrestling again immediately. Unfortunately, he can't do that. He'll just have to let his injuries heal and then he can resume his normal schedule."

SH: "Doctor Steele, thank you for your time."

ES: "You're welcome."

SH: "Looks like World Champion Ric Flair will be out of action for a while. The good news is that the injuries aren't career-threatening. We'll follow this developing situation in the coming weeks. I'm Scott Hudson reporting from Huntsville Hospital."

(In-ring: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "We are back here on 'Mayhem'. I'm Craig Johnson. With me right now is Tony Garea of the WCW Championship Committee. Tony, we hear you have some news for us."

Garea was in a suit.

TG: "Yes, Craig. One of the rules that all our champions must abide by here in WCW is the 40-day rule. That means a champion is obligated to put his title on the line at least once every 40 days. If World Champion Ric Flair is unable to defend the World Title by March 21st, then we will be forced to strip Flair of the belt and hold up the title."

CJ: "The types of injuries that Flair is reported to have, those injuries could take longer than 40 days to heal. So, things don't bode well right now for the World Champion holding onto the title."

TG: "We'll have to wait and see. There will be no move to strip Flair of the World Title before the March 21st deadline. But, if he can't go by then, then we have to abide by the rules and do what we have to do."

CJ: "OK. That was Tony Garea of the WCW Championship Committee. The clock could be ticking on Ric Flair's World Title reign right now. If Flair's gonna lose the belt, you'd rather he do it in the ring rather than just have to hand over the belt because of the 40-day rule. He's a fighter. And you can never count out Ric Flair even in a situation like this. Tony and Mark, back to you.")

(Announcers discussed the Flair situation.

Madden: "I believe there's a good chance Flair loses the title without a fight. And if that's the case, it would devastate him."

They then ran down the program: Larry Zbysko vs Tommy Rich; Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey is here; a message from Harley Race; and more. Said Don Muraco sees action next!)

Match 1

Don Muraco vs. Scott Casey

(Casey was already in the ring and announced.

Theme from the original 'Hawaii Five-O' played and out came Muraco to loud boos. He was in his purple tights and black boots. Muraco climbed into the ring and briefly soaked in the crowd reaction.

Casey actually gave Muraco a battle for part of the match and even came close to scoring the upset victory before Muraco took control and finished Casey off with his White Trash Compactor (inverted piledriver) finisher to score the pinfall victory.

WINNER: Muraco - Pinfall - White Trash Compactor - 3:47)

(After the match:

Muraco went over by the ropes and demanded the ring mic from Craig Johnson. Johnson handed the mic to Muraco. Muraco started walking around in the ring.

DM: "You know, it's fitting. It's fitting that Tommy Rich came down here dressed as a janitor last week when he sneak attacked me. Being a janitor is truly a white trash profession. White trash janitors have to clean up peoples' crap. That is truly symbolic because white trash is the crap on the bottom of my shoe. And Tommy Rich is a piece of stinking, smelling crap.

"Now, I'm not gonna let that attack from last week pass without a little payback. Tommy will get his comeuppance. I promise you that. White trash doesn't do that to yours truly. I'm gonna beat the white out of that white boy and then he'll only be trash."

Tommy Rich walked out on the entrance stage in his ring attire with mic in hand.

TR: "Hey, Muraco! Over here! So, you're gonna pay me back for what I did to you last week, huh? Well, you seem to forget that you started this two weeks ago by costing me my chance to win the Tru TV Championship against Steve O."

DM: "I didn't forget, Tommy. You see, I have a 'white trash hunting license'. That means I can hunt garbage like you anywhere, anytime. What I did to you two weeks back was completely within my rights."

TR: "Your rights?! Your rights?! Let me tell you something, Muraco! This white man is getting tired of your shtick! You need to be shut up and shut down if you know what I'm sayin'!"

DM: "You mean you're gonna force me to live forever in a trailer park and have a fat wife named Hattie?!"

TR: "What I'm tellin' you is I want a match with you! Let's do this! Let's quit talkin' and get down to business!"

DM: "Tommy! I'm game! I'd love to get you in this ring and lay a beatdown on you and send you on your away a defeated and humilitated man in front of your legions of comic book-reading, cheap beer guzzling, bowling loving white trash fans!"

TR: When are we gonna do this?! You people wanna see Tommy Rich vs. Don Muraco?!"

Crowd cheered.

CJ: "Excuse me, gentlemen! I just got word in my earpiece that members of the WCW Match-Making Committee have said that Muraco vs. Rich will take place next week here on 'Mayhem'!"

More crowd cheers.

DM: "Tommy! I want you to know that next week, I'm gonna show the world why you are indeed white trash...literally!"

TR: "I don't know what the hell you're sayin', man! And quite frankly I don't care! I'm ready to unleash my inner white beast on your ass! See you next week!"

DM: "Sure you'll be able to find the building?! I didn't know they put GPS devices in Yugos!"

TR: "Just be there, Muraco!"

Brief staredown as the segment ended.)

(Announcers discussed Muraco vs. Rich being made for next week. Then intro'd video from the end of Tru TV Championship match two weeks ago between Steve O (TVC) and Tommy Rich where Larry Zbysko got involved with special ref Harley Race and pre-recorded comments from Race following.

VIDEO:

Picture flipped and Race was standing in front of a concrete wall and holding a mic. He was in street clothes.

HR: "You know, I take great pride in what I do. Whether it's wrestling or officiating wrestling, I go out there and try to do the best job I can. After the Tru TV Championship match a couple of weeks ago, I called Tommy Rich and apologized for what happened. Tommy had a chance to become the TV Champion and I feel like I may have had a hand in costing him that match because I got tied up with Larry Zbysko. Tommy was gracious and told me I didn't need to apologize because wild things happen in this business and it could happen to anyone. But I'm still steaming over what happened.

"Zbysko, I hope you see this video. Listen to what I have to tell you. This has gone far enough between you and me. We are now at a jumping off point. I'm prepared to don the tights and lace up the boots again just to step into the ring against you. You man enough to go, Larry? Have you got the guts to stand on your own two feet and wrestle me in a match? How about it? Or are you gonna run around making excuses for why you won't wrestle me just like you've run around for two months now saying I played a role in costing you the World Title? I await your answer, Zbysko. The ball is now in your court.")

(Announcers discussed Race challenging Zbysko to a match. Hyped still to come: Zbysko vs. Rich. Said an interview with Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey was next!)

(Commercials)

(In-ring: Craig Johnson.

CJ: "We are back here on 'Mayhem'. Fans, my guest at this time is definitely Public Enemy #1 in WCW right now. He is...Sheik Adnan El-Kaissey!"

Extremely loud boos as 'Cry of the Vatos' played and out came Kaissey with Kamala and Handler Kimchee. Kaissey was in an expensive suit and wearing a keffiyeh. Kamala was in his loin cloth print with images painted on his body and wearing his African tribal mask. Kimchee was in his safari gear, pith helmet, white mask with brown trim and carrying a riding crop.

The trio got in the ring as the boos grew louder.

CJ: "Sheik, just listen to these fans out here!"

More booing and some garbage thrown at the ring.

AK: "As far as I'm concerned, infidel Johnson! The garbage in this ring represents these fans out here!"

More boos and garbage.

CJ: "WCW officials have not decided on whether to meet out any suspensions yet. But, Sheik, you were hit with the largest fine in WCW history for what transpired last week in the amount of $250,000 dollars!"

AK: "They could have fined me $10 million dollars and it would have been nothing but a drop in the bucket for me because of my vast wealth!

"And paying this fine, it will be worth every last penny! Ric Flair deserved what happened to him last week! He was offered the richest contract in our sport's history by me! And not only did he turn it down! He tore the check up that I gave him and threw it in my face and called me the devil! In my culture, you don't behave like Flair did towards me! You accept a generous offer with grace and dignity! But no! Ric Flair had to act like the typical arrogant Westerner and turn down my offer in a rude fashion! I'm just disappointed that the damage wasn't worse!

"But I want to let all these infidels who love the king infidel Flair know that I am demanding a World Title match for Kamala if he is able to return before the 40-day title defense rule has expired! If Flair can't return by then, I am demanding that Kamala be awarded the WCW World Title!"

CJ: "Just hand Kamala the title?! Are you serious?!"

AK: "I am very serious, Johnson! Kamala can either beat Ric Flair and take the belt! Or, it should be given to him!"

CJ: "I'm at a loss. I really don't know what to say right now..."

AK: "Ric Flair could have been the crown jewel in the Sheik's Army! He could have been the World Champion under my management! And the money he would have made with me would have been huge! He just had to say 'yes' to me and it all would have been his! He said 'no' and look what happened to him! I will use my Army now to destroy Ric Flair!"

CJ: "I've got to ask..."

Crowd cheered as the Dynamite Kid, in street clothes, came out on the entrance stage with mic in hand.

DK: "Sheik Adnan! Look over here!"

Kaissey turned.

DK: "In case you've forgotten, I felt the wrath of your two beasts last week as well! I was fortunate in that I only suffered some bruising and a headache from the assault! Ric Flair suffered the brunt of the attack! His World Title reign could now be in jeopardy!"

AK: "What do you want?!"

Kamala started getting antsy in the ring but was kept under control by Kimchee.

DK: "I came out here to demand, not ask for, but demand a match with Kamala!"

Crowd cheered.

AK: "You want a match with this wild man, Dynamite?!"

DK: "You don't understand English, Sheik?! That's just what I said!"

AK: "That's fine, infidel! You can have your match with Kamala! And make sure your friend and soon-to-be former World Champion Ric Flair watches your destruction from his house, the hospital or wherever he's laid up!"

Johnson started listening in on his earpiece.

CJ: "Hold on! I've just gotten word that this match, Dynamite Kid vs. Kamala is a go for next week on 'Mayhem'!"

Crowd cheered.

DK: "I want everyone out here to know that I'm fighting this match for Ric Flair!"

AK: "Good! Have fun losing for that ingrate!"

Long-distance staredown between Kaissey and Kid.

CJ: "It's shaping up to be an interesting 'Mayhem' next week. Kid will battle Kamala. Tony and Mark, back to you.")

(Backstage: Scott Hudson.

SH: "Welcome back to 'Mayhem', everyone. I'm Scott Hudson. My guest at this time is in our main event that is scheduled to take place in just a few minutes."

Larry Zbysko, in his ring attire, walked into the interview area.

SH: "Larry Zbysko, you're facing Tommy Rich tonight. But, the question I've got to ask is about Harley Race challenging you to a match."

LZ: "Harley Race wants a match with the 'Living Legend'. I guess he wants to try and cheat his way to victory over me. He's so good at robbing people of what they deserve."

SH: "You certainly know a lot about cheating."

LZ: "Are you kidding me, Hudson?! You just stand there and hold the mic and try to look like you know what you're doing!

"If Harley Race wants a match with me, then he needs to be man enough to ask me for it to my face. He shouldn't be hiding like some coward behind some pre-recorded video! He asks me face-to-face and then he'll get his answer! Otherwise...no comment!"

SH: "You're battling Tommy Rich..."

LZ: "Don't worry about Tommy Rich! I'm about to take care of him! And then, after I'm finished, maybe Harley can get off his ass, get on a plane and show up at the next edition of 'Mayhem' and confront me directly!"

Zbysko walked out of the interview area.

SH: "That was Larry Zbysko. Tony and Mark, back to you.")

Zbysko grabbed Rich, whipped Rich into the ropes and caught Rich coming off with a spin kick to the chest. Rich crashed to the mat. Rich moved out of the corner, grabbed Zbysko's legs and catapaulted Rich head-first into the top buckle. Zbysko crashed on his back in the ring. Rich got up and popped Zbysko with a fist drop to the head. Rich grabbed Zbysko and bodyslammed Zbysko and ran and hit the ropes and came off with a running elbow smash that connected. Rich covered Zbysko and hooked the leg. 1...2... Zbysko kicked out.
