Overall, my matches have improved, despite a comparative lack of competition. I've become a good brawler, passable on the ground, and improved my already solid basics. I'm steadily working myself into one of the premier workers on the Japanese independent scene. I'm plan to eventually push this promotion, and my own skills, to a point where I am considered for a job with Burning Hammer or Pride Glory Honor Wrestling.

...And this year, I have done myself proud.

Crimson Ghost is the home-grown star of UDCG. He has received a monster push, and delivered with terrific matches, even when he is a considerable underdog, both in notoriety and in size. I have high hopes for the wrestling rendition of the manga character, and at 22, the rookie has plenty of room to improve.

Sir Winston Watoga is the stand-out wrestler in UDCG. He is blessed with incredible charisma, terrific basics, and a well-rounded if uninspiring skill set. He has held the Unbreakable Title since the promotions' inception, and delivered terrific grades as champion. Watoga has become the "franchise" of this promotion as a rule-breaking heel, and he leads the most formidable faction in the promotion's history.

In just the last tour, Logan has participated in the top four battles in the promotions history, and is due for a huge push in the coming months.

Nigel is fan favorite, and fun to book. His new character has been a success, but despite his character getting over, it is clear Nigel is getting lost in the sea of new performers. The Swedish technician can bring a good match out of anyone, but he struggled to break out of the pack this year. He has a future with the company, but more often than not, he'll be counting the lights.

Rokuemon Matsushita is a big, lumbering heavyweight, who is part of a heel powerhouse team. His grades aren't that good, but unlike his partner, he is showing gradual improvement. Rokuemon has great entertainment skills, and with a bit of polish, could justify his overall popularity with skill. I have a short-term feud planned for Matsushita, but his long-term future is in doubt, as he has an escalating price tag.

Frozen Tora has been solid when given the opportunity, and average everywhere else. He is mainly seen in tag team matches, and the two of us mesh well as partners -- that alone will keep employed in the mid card, unless I can find a suitable replacement.

Lion Genji is the fall guy for The Royal Court -- he's clearly the worst performer, and he obviously doesn't have what it takes for a serious push. Genji's only saving grace is his excellent chemistry with Watoga -- the two work well together, and that inflates his match quality significantly. Lion Genji is so bad he may work his way off the roster despite his team, which is a feat if nothing else.

Miyake is in between a rock and a hard place -- he isn't quite good enough to crack the main event, but he isn't bad enough to slide down the mid card. Plus, his momentum seems to quickly stall -- and the combination have kept him from capitalizing on his win in the 2015 Roaring Lion Tournament. There is no chance Motoyuki leaves the roster, he is one of the most competent and productive performers -- if only I could find him a teammate, he would be great in the tag ranks.

Sozen Ishinomori is the but of many jokes. He came in a promising acquisition from GCG, but he quickly stalled, and developed a rotten attitude -- this, combined with his below-average in-ring work, have him counting lights. Gidayu Katou is this years biggest disappointment. Despite being given a solid push, he hasn't rose above the mid card, and struggled to produce quality matches on the level of his peers. Gidayu, once seen as a future champion, is quickly falling down the ranks, and could find himself out of the company if he disappoints on the upcoming Tradition Tour.

MUSCLE Serizawa has a similar match rating to Gidayu Katou. The two statistics tell divergent stores: MUSCLE is a rookie, who has one full tour with the company (he worked only a few shows of last years' Tradition tour) and he has been booked a lot less strongly, a glorified enhancement talent. MUSCLE Serizawa has show flashes of potential with UDCG, but his overall achievement depends on continued improvement and success.

Yuri Illakov looked to be out of a job after last Tradition tour. A tour with PGHW quickly changed minds, and Yuri could -- slowly -- make his way up the card after a solid unbreakable tour. He'll always be in the shadow of his more talented best friend, Viktor Beskov, but that positive backstage relationship will keep him with the company in the short-term -- and if he can continue improving, he may make his way farther up the card.

Him and I both know it, but we won't mention it to each other. He has alluded to it. At 54, the jolly round purveyor of puroresu is up in years, and his skills are on the decline. The wear and tear may eventually necessitate a replacement, in that case he'll become an authority figure, but the options in Japan are meager. The owner will likelihood remain the voice of the company for several years.

After five uninspiring tours, and the demise of Black Canvas Grappling, Referee Tawaraya was released. His skills in decline, he was replaced with EX2010's veteran referee Toshimichi Tsurimi, who is a boon to the backstage. As I have Motivational Speeches unlocked, I no longer require a "backstage cancer" to create a backstage image. Toshimichi brings cool shades, and is willing to take bumps if we become a sports entertainment fed.

Just read through this entire diary so far. Like someone mentioned early, this was a very easy read and I love your approach and presentation. I like how you set the tone for the promotion at the very beginning as this gritty indy with characters that are very simple and have purposes for the things they do. I particular love how you set up the tournaments and again it gives this sports feel to the entire thing that I love. Also, your portrayal of Winston and his Royal Court is awesome. All and all I will be following this going forward with question.

Thank you for the kind words! It has been a joy to write.

I'm definitely pleased by the reception. I did expect to eventually build a following, but didn't expect it until I moved to a larger company... or got big enough to sign larger names.

I posted cursory information on my TIER 1 Project, which will run starting next year. It will be the first "multi-game" diary [as far as I know] in TEW/WMMA history, and will replace the proposed Burning Hammer project. The project will follow the debut of "TIER-1" Shoot Wrestling in the 1997 CVerse, and catalog ALPHA-1 in WMMA. A lot of "new ground" will be broken as part of the project, things that haven't been done on the forums before.

I find it far easier to work with multiple projects -- hence why I'm designing a 2016 mod concurrently with this diary. It prevents burnout.

I stare out, again, into the sea of faces. I run, charging, into the ring, the fans cheering wildly. A few moments later, Frozen Tora trots out, waving his arms towards the adoring audience. The two champions come out second, to a sea of roaring boos, slowly trotting towards the ring. The Royal Guard, Sozen Ishinomori and Rokuemon Matsushita, taunt the crowd loudly. Referee Toshimichi Tsurimi lifts up the new UDCG Championship Belts, freshly crafted.

Rokuemon and I start in the ring together. We face off, in a circling manner, two giants in a ring too tiny. We begin with shoves, and I grab him into a headlock, pull him into the ropes... but Rokuemon gets a foot on the bottom and reverses into a cutter! He goes for an elbow drop but I roll out of the way, and make a hot tag to my partner!

Frozen Tora goes to work on his smaller opponent, arm dragging him into the Ropes and hitting a vicious superkick! Matsushita is laid out! Frozen Tora goes to the top rope, signals for the Dreadsault, but Sozen Ishinormori axe handles him from behind! He stumbles off the ropes and onto the mat below, while Matsushita makes the hot tag to Sozen!

I'm prepared on my partners behalf, and I slam into Sozen with a springboard drop kick! He careens into the rope! I slam him with a strong arm lariat! Our partners, meanwhile, are brawling on the outside, Frozen Tora busting open his opponent slamming him into the ringpost! I stomp the floor, signaling for the leg drop, but Sozen manages to roll out of the way just in time! He struggles to the corner, cowardly....

The lights go out! I wait for the low blow, and Sozen delivers, reeling... I stumble into Toshimichi, knocking him to the floor....

Music hits the arena, and some nicely dressed Brits show on our new, cheap projection screen, playing guitars.... several seconds in, the lights flash on, but the music doesn't stop, as UNBREAKABLE WINSTON WATOGA and his partner, LION GENJI, lay the boots to both BROTHERS TORAS! The referee calls for the bell, instinctively, and throws the match out!

The Match was Thrown Out after Lion Genji and Sir Winston Watoga interfered. The Royal Court make defense #2 of their Unbreakable Tandem Titles.

Sir Winston Watoga confronts Monzaemon Ouchi

Watoga and Genji haul us over the ropes, one by one, as we hit the ground and make our way up the ramp. In little better shape, the champions retreat up the ramp, holding their gold.

Watoga gets the microphone.
"I AM THE CHAMPION! I.....claim this LAND in the name of THE QUEEN, our magistrate, AND THE BRITISH ISLES! Subjected ruler, MONZAEMAN OUCHI, I demand you COME TO THIS RING! "

Ouchi leaves the announce desk. He enters the ring.
"Watoga, what are your demands?"
Winston stares at him, delusional, and states
"I... want control over my next challenger. I want TO ENTER THE ROARING LION TOURNAMENT! I WISH TO BE KING OF THE JUNGLE!"
Ouchi stares blankly at Watoga.
"Look, Winston, the brackets are full. The first match, "The Nige" against the greenhorn Ryobe Uno, is supposed to have started..."

The projector shows the dressing room, with The Nige backstage, keeled over and bloodied.

Watoga continues
"you were saying, Mr. Ouchi?"
"That Mr. Uno, the greenhorn, advances to the semifinals with a bye."
Ouchi retorts. Nige smirks. Nige says
"Right answer."
The UNBREAKABLE CHAMPION grabs Monzaemon Ouchi, arm drags him into the ropes, and slaps on the HYPER-EXTENSION ARM LOCK! Ouchi scrambles for the ropes, but Lion Genji kicks him in the face, and Ouchi passes out from the pain. Genji rolls the UDGC owner out of the ring.

"RYOBE"
screams Watoga
"get your scrub arse out here, now!
"

Ryobe trots slowly and timidly to the ring. Winston begins to work over, stating "its time to stretch" several times during the match, and Ryobe gets no offense in. After toying with the rookie for six minutes, Winston slabs on the Hyper-Extension Arm Lock, and just when Ryobe is about to submit... Watoga twists his arm around, throws him to the floor, and drops an elbow on his exposed arm! Ryobe is screaming in pain! Watoga covers for...1...2...3

The next match involves Wolfsbaine and Gidayu Katou. The crowd pops huge for Wolfsbaine, and Katou makes his way slowly down to the ring. The two engage in a brutal, back and forth match, with Wolfsbaine and Katou trading blows and near-missing with their strong arm-lariats. The match concludes with a brilliantly choreographed double-lariat spot with the referee starting a ten count and Wolfsbaine climbing over for the cover three seconds in...1...2...3..

Watoga peaks through the curtains, before Lion Genji makes his way to the ring, with the UNBREAKABLE CHAMPION behind him. He faces against Shozo Utagawa, who stretches his opponent in a clinic of mat wrestling. He applies a headlock, wearing down Genji, but he manages a rope break, just grabbling onto the bottom rope. Genji charges at Shuzo, going for a Lariat, but Utagawa reverses it and puts Genji's left arm in the crossface chickenwing, but again Genji manages a rope break, and Shuzo is warded off. The two run the ropes, Genji ducks under a clothesline, but falls victim to a super kick!

Roaring Lion Tournament Final

roars throughout the arena. It signals the arrival of THE CRIMSON GHOST, who previously defeated the Royal Squire in hand-to-hand combat. His next opponent, SIR WINSTON WATOGA, is the senior member of the court. I run down the action, quickly, as both finalists make their dramatic entrance.

The bell rings.

The two tie up from the start, and the match is even at first, with Sir Winston Watoga getting the better of his masked opponent with superior technical acumen. He slaps the Hyper-Extension Arm Lock onto The Ghost, who desperately reaches for the ropes, as Lion Genji slams a cane onto his exposed arm! The crowd is on their feet, nervous at the outcome! Ghost, with every bit of energy he has left, grabs the top rope, and Tsurimi forces Watoga off his opponent.

Watoga relents, reluctantly, as Ghost stumbles to center-ring, his arm clearly hurt. Sir Winston Watoga arms drags his hurt arm, throws the Ghost to the ropes, but Crimson manages to pull himself up with the top rope and dodge a charging Watoga! Crimson hits a rebounding UNBREAKABLE CHAMPION with a sharp super kick to the temple, and Watoga slumps over the ring ropes, exhausted! Crimson Ghost charges at THE UNBREAKABLE CHAMPION, but Lion Genji slams him with his Cane, which shatters, sending splinters all over the ring mat! Genji pulls Watoga out of the ring, runs a warm sponge over his forehead, as Crimson Ghost returns to his feet. Watoga slides into the ring, the two adversaries staring face to face.... the two lock up, but Watoga gut checks The Crimson Ghost, arm drags him to the ropes, and hits him with a vicious uppercut! Ghost slumps over the top rope as both Lion Genji and Watoga work over his arm! Crimson Ghost dodges a punch, Watoga clocks his partner, and Lion Genji falls to the floor unconcious! Crimson Ghost recovers, and charges at Watoga, but Watoga gets the better of him, and slaps on the Hyper-Extension Arm-Lock... and just as The Ghost is about to tap, Watoga instead slams his knee into The Ghosts injured arm! The Crimson Ghost utters a desperate screech! Watoga grabs the injured arm, throws him towards the ropes... and Crimson Ghost leaps on the top rope, and lands a Springboard Hurricanrana, transitioning to a pin! Tsurimi quickly counts the cover...1...2...

CRIMSON GHOST is your ROARING LION CHAMPION! Watoga stresses a fast count, threatens the referee, before retreating up the ring ramp, cursing wildly.

Crimson Ghost d. Sir Winston Watoga with a flash pinfall. Crimson Ghost wins the Roaring Lion Tournament!

What a great tournament! Watoga has solidified himself as Japan's Public Enemy #1. And looks like you're putting all your chips at Crimson Ghost. Let's see how he can do at the bright lights.

Honestly, he is a bit unrealistically bad -- I'm not sure if Japanese audiences would accept him. As for Ghost, he's doing a great job, but there is someone in the company who is forcing his way to the top.

Ditto. Fantastic show.

Thanks for your support! It's been a pleasure to write for you guys!

Yuri Illakov slings a Russian Flag over his shoulder. He descends quickly down the ramp. Chomei Sugiyama saunters down to the ring. Yuri lets out several hard chops, throws Chomei to the ropes, but the smaller Sugiyama hits a baseball slide that catches Yuri off-guard! Yuri Tumbles towards the ropes, Chomei grabs him, and lifts him up for the Slingshot Suplex! The crowd goes mental! Sugiyama is in disbelief, staring at the prone Yuri. I jog, slowly, down the ring ramp. I look up, raise my hands, welcoming the crowd, one seemingly growing quiet with each defeat. I trot into the ring. Viktor Beskov slowly trots down the ring ramp, the audience ecstatic to see the Russian grappler. We touch gloves, a sign of respect, and stare down each other from opposite sides of the ring. Victor exchanges several hard strikes, I strike back, in a brutal sequence, I end with busting him open. Viktor's forehead gushes with blood. He charges me, aims for the lariat, but I roll under, slam into the ropes, launch a vicious right hand.... but Beskov rolls through! He launches off the ropes, full break, and launches a super kick... I slow my momentum, reach a full spot, and reverse the kick, twisting his leg in mid air before slamming him to the ground! I put on the sharpshooter. Beskov writhes as he tries to bridge out, and with brute strength, reverses the hold, wrenching my legs! I pull his hulking body, and with the last of my strength, grab hold of the bottom rope! Referee Toshimichi Tsurimi wards Viktor off, who willingly releases the leg lock. Both fighters struggle to their feet. He charges at me, arm extended for the Lariat, I roll under his attack, hit the ropes -- and gut-check Viktor with a vicious kick. I hoist him above my shoulders and wrench him in the Gory Backbreaker, but he reverses it, powering with his legs from the top rope, grabbing my head and slamming me to the canvas with a springboard cutter! Viktor covers...1...2...3...

Watoga "Explains" War Games

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/UDCG%202015/UDCG%20Workers/Sir_Winston_Watoga_zps4guym3tx.png

Sir Winston Watoga enters the ring.
"Welcome to WAR GAMES"
states WATOGA
"a method used by houses since ancient times to settle political disputes, developed in a medieval setting to settle the dispute between Team Roundhead and Team Caviler. As you can see, after all these years, the Royalty won."
The crowd is silent. Winston smirks.

"The rules are as follows":

  1. Each Team will start with one man in the ring.

  2. After five minutes, there will be a coin flip.

  3. The team captain that wins the game of chance sends a second team member into the ring.

  4. Five minutes later, the other team sends a man into the ring.

  5. Teams send men into ring in this order until all eight men are in the ring.

"The proper name for the period when all combatants are present is "The Match Beyond". The first team to score a pinfall or submission in "The Match Beyond" wins War Games."

Team Ghost (Crimson Ghost, Nigel Svensson, ??? & ???)

vs.

Royal Court ("Unbreakable" Watoga, Lion Genji, Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori)

Sir Watoga rolls out of the ring. The Royal Court descends down the ramp, with The Royal Court hoisting the Tag Team Titles above their shoulders. Sozen Ishimori plants his title onto the announce desk.

Nigel Svennson and Crimson Ghost run down the ring ramp, both wearing hockey jerseys. Nige hands his puck to a fan, autographed in Swedish Sky Blue, before stepping into the ring.

The cage descends upon the two wrestlers. Nige is in one ring, Sozen is in the other. Toshimichi Tsurimi rolls out of the ring. The three royal court members stare down Crimson Ghost.

The match starts.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson

Team Ghost: Sozen Ishinomori

Sozen lumbers towards Nigel, who rolls out of the way deftly. Sozen slams his fist into the mat. He swings an elbow towards Nige, who rolls into the other ring. Sozen climbs to the top rope, but Nigel slams his elbow into Sozen's fat gut, climbs atop the ring post, and slams Sozen into the mat with a belly-to-back suplex. Sozen rolls towards the opposite ring post, and Nigel slams his knee into Sozen's face. Nigel arm drags Sozen across the ring, into the opposite ring post, and charges at his opponent. Sozen backdrops Nigel into the turnbuckle, and puts him in position for the suplex, but Nigel sweeps Sozen's leg and slams him to the mat.

Toshimichi Tsurimi flips the coin. The Royal Guard wins the coin toss. Rokuemon Matsushita enters the ring.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori

Rokuemon Matsushita picks up his partner, as the outnumber Nige retreats to the opposite ring. Rokuemon and Sozen launch themselves upon opposite turnbuckles, and both slam into Nigel with tandem flying-axe handles. Rokuemon drops an elbow, but Nige manages to roll out the ring. Rokuemon and Sozen grab the arms of The Nige, throws him to the rope, and go for a tandem clothesline, but The Nige ducks under it, only for both Sozen and Rokuemon super kick Nige's face.

Nige struggles to his feet, but Rokuemon arm drags Nige, throws him to the ropes, lifts Nigel Svennson over his head, and Rokuemon slams his opponent to the mat. The Royal Guard roll Nige into the corner, working over him with their boots, busting The Nige open.

Referee Toshimichi Tsurimi clears Crimson Ghost to enter the ring.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson, Crimson Ghost

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori

Crimson Ghost climbs into the ring. The Royal Guard give chase, leaving Nigel by himself in the far side ring. Sozen arm-drags Ghost into the ropes, but Crimson Ghost ducks under the clothesline, and slams Sozen with a super kick.

Sozen rappels off the ropes, aims for the clothesline, but Crimson ducks under the clothesline... Rokuemon grabs him from behind! He picks up Ghost for the power bomb, but Ghost reverses it, climbing atop Rokuemon's head and slamming him with the hurricanrana!

The Royal Guard both climb to their feet, slowly, with Crimson Ghost climbing atop the top rope, launching a springboard 360 splash... but Rokuemon catches him in mid-air, slamming Ghost to the ground!

Referee Toshimichi Tsurimi clears Lion Genji to enter the ring.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson, Crimson Ghost

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori, Lion Genji

Lion Genji focuses on recovering Nigel Svennson, who can still barely get to his feet. He throws Nige's limp body towards the ropes, and slams into The Nige with a vicious chop. Nige falls to the ground, and Genji goes for an elbow on his bloodied, limp opponent, but Nige rolls out of the way! Lion Genji arm drags Nigel Svennson again, throwing him to the ropes, but Nigel ducks out of the way!

The Royal Court both work over Crimson Ghost in the opposite ring. Crimson Ghost rolls under a clothesline, but Rokuemon catches him and throws him into the opposite ring post. Sozen exposes the turnbuckle. The Crimson Ghost manages to roll out of the way, and Rokuemon slams face first into the turnbuckle, and Crimson Ghost super kicks Rokuemon, slamming him into the turnbuckle! Rokuemon is busted open, blood flowing onto the mat!

Rokumeon staggers to center ring, taking a minute to regain his composure. Crimson Ghost moves into the opposite ring. He slams into Lion Genji with a splash from the top rope, freeing an exhausted Nigel Svennson. Crimson Ghost arm-drags Lion Genji into the ropes, and Nigel grabs his arm and slaps on the hyper-extension arm lock! Rokuemon Matsushita and Sozen charge Lion Genji, breaking the hold....

Red Smoke fills the ring.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson, Crimson Ghost, Crimson Ghost

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori, Lion Genji

A second Crimson Ghost appears in the ring, as the smoke clears! Sir Winston Watoga is furious, and claims the match be thrown out, but Toshimichi states the second ghost is allowed, as he entered five minutes after Lion Genji! Both Crimson Ghosts climb to the top turnbuckles, and execute tandem springboard drop kicks on the Royal Guard, arm dragging both to the turnbuckles and working them over with punch sequences! Lion Genji attacks Crimson Ghost, to force the other Crimson Ghost lets up, hitting The Ghost with a flying axehandle. Lion slams into Crimson Ghost with the backdrop elbow, and both Crimson Ghosts slam to the mat!

I state Crimson Ghost's canon suggests he can create "multiples" of himself, shadow images that mimic his moves, and can physically hurt mortals! Ouchi and I get over the concept from the broadcast desk, reinforcing the authority of the
Blood Rush Japanese Manga Comic
on character lore. We state the audience should, if they haven't already, purchase the newly minted boxed collection containing the first sixteen issues.

Team Ghost: Nigel Svennson, Crimson Ghost, Crimson Ghost

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori, Lion Genji, Sir Winston Watoga

Toshimichi Tsurimi clears Sir Winston Watoga to enter. He launches himself into the opposite ring, slamming the springboard dropkick into Nigel Svennson, and nailing him with a European Uppercut! Nigel falls to the ground, his momentum carrying him into the corner.

Crimson Ghost and Crimson Ghost stumble into the opposite ring. Lion Genji and Sozen Ishinmori chase him, with Rokuemon staying behind. Watoga gut checks Crimson Ghost, slaps on the hyper extension arm lock! Crimson Ghost writhes in pain, and the other Crimson Ghost falls to the ground, and Lion Genji puts the boots to him.

Crimson Ghost puts both feet on the bottom rope, using the momentum to power out of the hold and throw The Unbreakable Champion into the ropes, arm drag him into the opposite rope, and Crimson Ghost slams him with a super kick! Sozen launches his arm at Crimson Ghost, but Ghost ducks under him, and retreats to the opposite ring.

Smoke fills the ring. Confusion ensues.

Royal Court: Rokuemon Matsushita, Sozen Ishinomori, Lion Genji, Sir Winston Watoga

A third Crimson Ghost appears in the ring with Watoga, Sozen and Genji. Rokuemon Matsushita stumbles towards the ring, and Nigel begins to get to his feet. Two Ghosts go through several tandem spots, keeping two members of the Royal Guard busy, culminating with tandem springboard drop kicks!

Toshimichi Tsurimi enters the ring to count pinfalls or submissions, signaling the "Match Beyond" period of the match.

Sir Winston Watoga chases Crimson Ghost to the opposite ring. Crimson Ghost backflips onto the top rope, and launches himself at Watoga, who prepares to catch him... but The Crimson Ghost sails over his head, and hits the sunset flip on Watoga! He transitions to a pin... Toshimichi counts... 1...2...

Toshimichi raises Crimson Ghost's arm, signaling a clean pin! Watoga is furious, slapping his hand signaling a fast count!

Crimson Ghost d. "Unbreakable Watoga" with a roll-up. Team Ghost wins War Games!

Smoke fills the arena, and only the Crimson Ghost who pinned Watoga remains. Winston Watoga and Crimson Ghost stare across from each other. The cage is removed from the dual rings.

Ghost points to the projection screen above the ring ramp, which has "
"Loser Leaves Town"
printed in red large text.

I go over with Ouchi and we decide the stipulation is clear. The UNBREAKABLE TITLE Match at Roaring in the Year of the Lion will be a "Losers Leave Town Match."

Which Crimson Ghost would have to leave and how on earth can management enforce that stipulation? :p

From Blood Rush The Paginated Series:

The Crimson Ghost can use his energy to create "illusions" of himself, shadow representations that can execute moves, and exist in three dimensions. Should he be injured or hurt, he loses focus, and the illusions go still.

So without the original being present, the copies are inanimate, therefore worthless.
