The Story of Invincible Pro Wrestling

As told by John "Nemesis" Campbell's personal journal

-Disclaimer-

Adult language (albeit it censored) is used. Adult situations may come up. Also, I'm running it with IPW. IPW is known for being a hardcore promotion, so... yeah.

Week 1 - January 2014 - Monday

This is stupid…

My therapist thinks I should journal more. He says it’s because he can see grays coming in. There’s no more red left in my hair and I’m too old to dye it red anymore. What’s the point of that? Then again, what’s the point of this? I mean, I am overpaying some nerd in a bowtie to tell me to write in a notebook? Damn.

Then again, I sit here doing it almost 3 weeks after he told me to and it must be because of the stress of IPW. Maybe I was just younger when I ran DAVE, but there is something stressful today with IPW. Maybe it’s because I’m on the west coast, divorced and at war with a rapper. Maybe it’s because I can’t book this damn next show. Maybe it’s like that fella on the street told me - I need Jesus. Who the f*** knows? Why am I asking you? You’re a damn piece of paper. Might as well use you like one…

Invincible Pro Wrestling - Known outside of California as the company I book now.

Roster [As of January 2014]

http://i.imgur.com/1gCWI7t.jpg

IPW Champion - Hustle Muvva

Just won the belt. Definitely taking a risk on him by giving him the strap but definitely worth it. Charismatic. Connects with the San Fran crowd and if we ever go after Grimm 100% out in LA, Hustle could be the nail in the coffin. Decent brawler to boot.

http://i.imgur.com/GihqvDt.jpg

IPW Californian - Lug Phelan

Coming into his six month as champion, Lug is not a disappointment. My pet project. Definitely one of my favorite young guys on the roster, I could see Lug leading IPW to the big time. Just needs to work on connecting with the crowd a bit more.

http://i.imgur.com/Wumglep.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/x039rQc.jpg

IPW Tag Team Champions - Coulrophobia (Hellech & Pierrot)

Tag champs since May 2013… f*** clowns man. I swear that’s the only reason they get heat, people hate clowns. Whatever. They draw heat, they can wrestle and work well together. Plus the masks add intrigue.

http://i.imgur.com/Ef1fjos.jpg

Frantic Ali

2X champion. Easily hand-down the best worker in the main event scene, as long as Ali is in IPW, I get a guaranteed headline match that would rival any other promotion.

http://i.imgur.com/bIdPvJo.jpg

Lil Henry

Dude is a big boy. His size makes him stand apart from the rest of the roster and has led to a title in the past and could lead to another in the future. His size also gives him the opportunity to become a special attraction and a bit of a JTTS as he can easily recover.

http://i.imgur.com/umrVbqm.jpg

Masked Stranger

Kayfabe. I honestly have no idea who the Masked Stranger really is. I don’t know his name. We pay him cash in hand every single show. This is why the Masked Stranger will have a spot on my roster. This isn’t a job or a gig for extra money, He Is The Masked Stranger. Recently lost the belt but will continue in a program with Muvva.

http://i.imgur.com/ikMMYHk.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/55zl26s.jpg

The Night Terrors (Babau & Moroi)

Love these guys. Currently in the midst of a feud with Coulrophobia. Their masks are custom made for each show. Not sure where the guys get the money from, but last month they had Red and Green for Christmas. Sick.

http://i.imgur.com/h107wIV.jpg

BB Colossus

Fat f***. Can’t do much in the ring besides be fat. I mentioned earlier that Henry might be a JTTS but Colossus truly is. He’s over despite having nothing outside of being fat. Might pair him up with a manager or a lightweight dick down the road to mix things up.

http://i.imgur.com/NNc9VUK.jpg

Fiasco Fierce

Tony connects with the crowd. He’s a San Francisco rapper. Slightly more talented than BB Colossus. No plans for the future unfortunately, although I had no plans for Hustle this time last year.

http://i.imgur.com/Qh9OZxO.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/CIU32Jj.jpg

The American Dream Team (Kip Keenan & T-Bone Bright)

Honestly… I paired them up because I had nothing else. Bright needs experience, Keenan is a filler talent. Whoever comes out on top in the tag division will probably feud with these guys for a bit. Not to be cynical, but Keenan is due to picked up soon by a larger company. He’s a former amateur wrestler. Natural. Bright might too, he’s jacked.

http://i.imgur.com/LwBzLN2.jpg

The Outlaw

Wes is a good guy and is paying his dues. May have a bit of a Clint Eastwood gimmick lined up for him down the road because… he’s a cowboy in a San Francisco promotion… Not really sure what else to do other than mock him.

http://i.imgur.com/4q8H2Yt.jpg

Ash Barnaby

Formerly known as Paradox, Ash connects with the crowd well but his in-ring talent does not match his out-of-ring talent. Could fly up the ladder depending on this year however.

http://i.imgur.com/8UJsldq.jpg

Deadly Deadshot

I have nothing to write here. Darius is neither a bad worker or a good one. Just exists on our roster.

http://i.imgur.com/Es6k6PQ.jpg

E-Soteric

E-Soteric needs more work before he’ll move up the card. Nothing special outside of his name, but might be a solid midcard / tag worker in the future.

http://i.imgur.com/5HMYuyQ.jpg

Stanley Axis

Alot of our fans don’t boo or cheer in unison except when big moments happen (Example: Hustle winning in December) or when Stanley Axis appears. Legit, Axis is the reason we haven’t done a fans bring the weapons match. I’m afraid they’ll kill him. This smug bastard parades as one of the fans, and reminds them that he’s just better than them all… 2013 Most Punchable Face.

http://i.imgur.com/iAHHSa5.jpg

Ray Snow

The workers love Ray Snow. I love Ray Snow. But the people hate Ray Snow. Not in a way like Axis, but more in a way that Ray Snow’s matches have literally become piss breaks at the shows. He’s not IPW material unfortunately, although that might be half my fault.

The roster could use some work. However, none of those MMA guys or guys over 40. And no criminals. So I guess that cuts about half of the ex DAVE workers. We’ll see. Time to book this week’s show…

[Puking rainbows!!!

KnowYourEnemy - Of course. I'm going to avoid that path as long as I can though. I love the small promotion feel and until Richard Eisen strikes, I may let it stew.]

Week 1 - January 2014 - Wednesday

The past seven years have been quite a ride.

If you were to ask me back in 2007 where I would be today, I would have told you to go f*** yourself if you told me in some weird mini-war Los Angeles-San Francisco promotion war centered around hip hop, jealousy and money. There was nothing “Nemesis” about that. But somehow, someway, I got roped in.

I was at home in retirement. PSW had started up and Mitch offered me a spot. I rejected it. Hell I was offered a spot with Tommy Cornell as a trainer in TCW and I couldn’t imagine it. I was living the life. Even Phil offered me a spot up north. There was no need. The money I had coming from DAVE DVDs and my part time job as a bouncer downtown made me enough to live off until I decided to die. Plus I was home spending time with Ash as he prepared to enter the biz. It was something I was against. But as soon as DAVE ended, I jumped on board to help him prepare. Bless the kid, he didn’t have a brain for college like his old man.

So here I am at home, retired. Ash is in and out like it’s a f***ing hotel working for Mitch. I catch the occasional show on the internet or on DVD but never bother going to an event. In fact, I wouldn’t be at a live show for 4 years. Occasionally I drop down to Raleigh to help Rip train some kids or go to the Piledriver School. It’s more to remind myself of who I am than anything but Rip loved when I would bust open a troublemaker the hard way. I’ll never forget the summer of 2008 when he had me do it to his own son. That was glorious. Jay’s a punk just like his old man.

Anyways, I’m doing this and that to keep up. Putting some autograph memorabilia on E-Bay, refereeing football games, gambling. I’m keeping afloat. Then 2011 comes. It’s May 21, 2011. I decided to drive to Baltimore and go Pimlico for the Preakness. I got drunk. Next thing I know, I bet a half of a million dollars on Animal Kingdom to win. Nothing else. No one else…

Who does that in horse racing but a drunk?

That’s when I started going to AA.

That’s also where I met Gil. After the first meeting he goes “John, aren’t you Nemesis?” I grumble an acknowledgement and he tells me how he’s trying to do what I did back when I busted Tommy Cornell open. Gil, this pencil necked geek, is going to revolutionize wrestling? Not many guys have the balls to tell that to the guy who did it. Next thing you know, the millionaire is flying me out to San Francisco to meet Grimm… The rest is history.

Being poor will make men do things they will forever regret. Three years later and here’s hoping this isn’t a regret.

Week 1 - January 2014 - Thursday

F*** Grimm man.

24 Hours before showtime and the book is pretty much final.

Of course, it’s 24 hours before showtime and it means I have text messages. It never seems to fail. Big show to kick off the year and there’s texts from Fiasco Fierce, Frantic Ali, Hustle Muvva and Masked Stranger. And all four of them have the exact same news - that bastard Grimm is offering them all jobs.

F*** Grimm man.

I know you’re just a stupid ass book I am supposed to write in for the doc to see I am making progress but f*** man. This is the type of stuff Dr. Richards was talking about when he said what are your stress indicators. Well ya jackass, I can’t control when that bastard Grimm comes in and totally f***s with my plans. I’m trying to book a show here…

I don’t take a chance with Ali, Hustle and Stranger. While I know their loyalties lie with IPW, I promise them an extra $50 each if they stick around. Should be good enough. As for Tony Gent or Fiasco or whatever… *** him.

Seriously.

If he values his rap career over wrestling and wants to go to GSW, let him rot. And let him remember I discovered him. I’m John Campbell damn it. I am the reason hardcore wrestling exists. I don’t need some snot nosed punk like him to stick around.

Dr. Richards might be right. This journaling thing might actually work. Or maybe it doesn’t. F*** it. And F*** Grimm too.

IPW Friday Night Fights

Friday, Week 1, January

http://i.imgur.com/3ZWmZek.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/vDcoqU9.jpg

Announce Team

Moses Makesh | Luther Judge

It’s the first Friday of the month and we are alive from the Bottom of the Hill here in San Francisco. It’s 9 PM and that means it’s time for one thing.

That’s right brutha, time for some Invincible Pro Wrasslin’. My name is Lutha’ Judge alongside my colleague partner Mose-

Moses Makesh, your MC for the evening. But enough of that Luther, it’s time for some IPW action!

http://i.imgur.com/8UJsldq.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/5HMYuyQ.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/CIU32Jj.jpg

Deadly Deadshot vs. Stanley Axis vs. T-Bone Bright

Unannounced first match to begin the night and while Axis and Deadshot, two IPW mainstays, were in the ring or in control the crowd seemed content. However, every single time T-Bone would gain the upperhand the crowd absolutely tore him a new one. Axis shows that he has potential to make it beyond IPW showing much of his amateur background in this one with a variety of throws and holds, which combined with Deadshot’s ariel finesse made quite the spectacle. Unfortunately, the crowd began to crap on the entire match as T-Bone took control and one with a T-Bone Lariat for the win.

T-Bone Bright d. Deadly Deadshot, Stanley Axis via T-Bone Lariat. (Pinfall, 14:03, E-)

Brutha, T-Bone Bright is not a fan favorite out here tonight.

Luther, you don’t need to have the crowd when you pull out moves like that!

I guess, but listen Moses, these are IP-dub fans. You never know when one of these fellas will knock someone up.

Luther, were you watching a different match than me? Ain’t nobody man enough to f*** with T-Bone Bright.

http://i.imgur.com/Ef1fjos.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/Es6k6PQ.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/h107wIV.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/4q8H2Yt.jpg

IPW Tag Team Exhibition

Frantic Ali and E-Soteric vs. BB Colossus and Ash Barnaby

Ali and Barnaby really shown in this match, but perhaps it was not because of their own talents but rather the lack of talents of E-Soteric and Colossus and the crowd showed their disapproval of E-Soteric and Colossus. “Die Fatass Die” chants were coming from the crowd every time Colossus came into the ring. Despite this, back and forth match that saw Ali and E-Soteric come out on top when amazingly, Ali hit Colossus with a huge Death Valley Driver.

Frantic Ali & E-Soteric d. BB Colossus & Ash Barnaby via Death Valley Driver (Pinfall, 15:42, E+)

http://i.imgur.com/1gCWI7t.jpg

Backstage, Hustle Muvva is preparing for his title defense. As he finishes taping up his left hand, he shadow boxes for a moment before lifting up the IPW championship and strapping it around his waist.

”It had been a long time coming. I had been working my way towards the top of the mountain and for many years, I had thought I would remain the valley. I thought my time on top of the mountain would never come. I thought the good Lord would never bless me but here I stand, IPW Champion.

“It was an amazing day to know I won the championship. I felt like a millionaire. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could have taken me off that high. But haters still hate. See, despite Muvva being the dominant one, despite Muvva wanting a moment to celebrate, I had to get bad news that Masked Stranger wanted his rematch tonight.

“Masked Stranger - that won’t bother me. You can’t defeat me. I proved that last month when I put you down with the Headbutt and I have no worries that tonight won’t be a repeat. And then, I’ll be alone on the mountain! Can I get an amen?”

Muvva walks out of the shot.

”Now will ya look at dath! The IPW Champeen is ready to dominate!”

”Speaking of dominate, here is the biggest, baddest man in IPW.”

http://i.imgur.com/bIdPvJo.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/LlQCXG7.jpg

Back at ringside, Lil Henry and Anslem Briggs are at ringside. Briggs has a microphone.

”We’ve seen some pretty lame matches so far tonight. Frantic Ali putting everyone to sleep. Now it’s time to turn it up a notch. It’s time to make things Hardcore. Who’s willing to fight the baddest motherf*cker in all of the business?”

As Briggs finishes, Ray Snow’s music hits and out comes the Ice Cold Assassin.

http://i.imgur.com/LlQCXG7.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/bIdPvJo.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/iAHHSa5.jpg

Hardcore Open Challenge

Lil Henry w/ Anslem Briggs vs. Ray Snow

Unfortunately for Ray Snow, despite his willingness to challenge Lil Henry, there was simply no challenge for Henry who (despite not needing the weapons) drilled Snow with a trashcan to the face and then hit the patented Double-Handed Choke Bomb on that same trash can for an easy win.

Lil Henry d. Ray Snow via Double-Handed Choke Bomb (Pinfall, 4:01, E+)

http://i.imgur.com/NNc9VUK.jpg

As the last match ends, Fiasco Fierce made his way down to the ring with a hip hop beat in the background. The crowd began to boo Fierce as he began.

”Time for some more Fierce action

None of the other rappers got my traction

West side, east side, north of the bay or south

Look at me wrong I’ll slap the taste out yo mouth.

“My latest LP comin’ straight from the Cisco

Naw I ain’t no one hit wonder like Sisqo

Thong song has nothing on my latest album

All you motherf*ckers going to need some strawberry Tums.”

As Fierce finishes, the crowd boos louder.

”You all a bunch of haters!”

It doesn’t get any better as the crowd begins to chant “You can’t rap,” and the music from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly begins to play.

http://i.imgur.com/LwBzLN2.jpg

The Outlaw makes his way out but doesn’t bother with any words, instead stepping straight into the ring to fight Fiasco Fierce bringing about an impromptu match.

http://i.imgur.com/NNc9VUK.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/LwBzLN2.jpg

Fiasco Fierce vs. The Outlaw

This was not a good match by any standard and the chants of “Brokeback Mountain” began to reign in on Outlaw while interchanged with “You Can’t Rap.” The crowd was divided on who it hated more. Meanwhile, in the ring, Fierce and Outlaw looked sloppy as they fought and by the end Fierce looked exhausted. This helped Outlaw take advantage with a chickenwing crossface for the win.

The Outlaw def. Fiasco Fierce via Chickenwing Crossface (Submission, 11:29, F+)

http://i.imgur.com/2Rwr5fN.jpg

IPW Tag Team Championship Match

Coulrophobia © vs. The Night Terrors

Masks galore in this match. After a night of what seemed to be tame action, at least by IPW standards, the two teams really brought all the blood and gore IPW fans were used to seeing and certainly showed why there were given an opportunity to shine as they spent over 15 minutes pummeling each other. Gil Thomas, refereeing his first match, lost control of the match though as both teams split up through the arena and officials had no choice but to call the match a draw.

Coulrophobia and Night Terrors fight to a draw. (17:30, E+)

http://i.imgur.com/Wumglep.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/x039rQc.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/ikMMYHk.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/55zl26s.jpg

Despite the end of the match, the fight is far from over. Hellech and Moroi are fighting on top of the entrance ramp while Babau and Pierrot are somewhere in the crowd brawling away. Hellech and Moroi are trading blows.

”Someone is bound to get hurt up there!”

”That’s the way we do things!”

Hellech and Moroi are continuing their brawl when suddenly, from seemingly out of nowhere, Pierrot comes running through and hits a powerful spear that takes out both his partner Hellech and Moroi. This gives the tag champs an advantage…

”Good Lord that psycho Babau is on the balcony!”

Sure enough, Babau was with some fans on the balcony just above the entrance way. Pierrot and Hellech don’t seem to notice, but Moroi certainly does as Babau comes crashing down with a missle dropkick connecting with both Hellech and Pierrot sending them flying into the crowd barricade.

Moroi takes this opportunity to help his partner up and into the back as staff comes out to check on the fallen tag champs.

http://i.imgur.com/umrVbqm.jpg

Backstage once again and this time with The Masked Stranger. A man of few words and former IPW champion, Stranger seems focused on something off the camera’s shot. The camera slowly pans to what appears to be a white mask with a golden board between the eyes. A few fans cheer and even one or two of the smarter fans begin a “Patron” chant.

”There is an honor amongst masked workers. The gold is great but the mask is priceless. For the luchador, it is a sign of honor. For some puroresu, it is the sign of lineage. For me, it is so much more.

“I am not hiding my identity. I am not disguising who I am. I am not disguised but rather I am that I am. I am the Masked Stranger. My bank account says Masked Stranger. Every woman I’ve taken in the bed has only seen this mask. This mask isn’t a gimmick, it is who I am.

“It began when I was trained by El Patron, the greatest luchador to ever grace the squared circle. When I graduated his school, I was given this mask. I was told that the man I was is dead. I am a new man, a new creation, a new worker. I am the Masked Stranger. This is where my life would lie.

“So despite losing last month, I am not shamed. My identity isn’t in the gold. It’s in the mask But tonight Hustle Muvva, when you and I meet in the ring - I will take away your very identity, everything about you, every thing that defines who you are.

“Because before last month, you were a nobody. And after tonight, you will continue to be a nobody.”

IPW California Championship Match - Irish Bar Fight

Lug Phelan © vs. Kip Keenan

Luther and Moses reminded the viewers what an Irish Bar Fight was. It was Lug’s special stipulation since winning the belt awarding the winner to be the one who knocked out his opponent. For Phelan, it had become a signature. For Keenan, it was a new experience and his inexperience in such a match, versus Lug Phelan’s upbringing, made this quite the match as Phelan and Keenan would pummell each other. The ending would come when Phelan hit the Gutwrench Backbreaker to ground Keenan and followed this up with a huge punt to the head of Keenan for the win.

IPW Championship Match

Hustle Muvva w/ Cindy © vs. The Masked Stranger

And the main event was here. The two possibly matched last month’s match in terms of intensity as Masked Stranger certainly seemed to want to create for himself another chance to be IPW champion. However, Hustle Muvva was prepared for every trick and every big move from Stranger and when he didn’t seem to be, his girlfriend Cindy seemed to be on top of it distracting Stranger or senior official Jeffrey Davis. This gave quite the advantage for Muvva who felt the need to take it and finished Stranger with the Hustler’s Headbutt (top rope diving headbutt) after he got clocked with a high heel by Cindy.

Week 1 - Sunday Morning - January 2014

The fans are what keeps IPW thriving.

We had over 170 the other night and I had to reflect some of those chants. “Die Fatass Die” and “Brokeback Mountain” might be my two favorites. Poor T-Bone though. I thought he was going to nearly cry himself to death in the back. I gave him the walking papers before the night was over. Can’t deal with that type of nonsense in the IPW…

Fatass… I mean BB Colossus doesn’t take it personally. He takes it as a challenge. He sent one of the fansout to the McDonald’s next door with like $50 and bought the whole menu. Then ate it. Then offered to pay for a Chinese buffet that night. I am not in the best of shape but jeez. How can he even survive?

Regardless, with T-Bone gone, I need to find a replacement. Sent out feelers. A big kid from New England and an Indian. Both will stand out and perhaps replace some of these other guys. Until then, Wes will hear “Brokeback Mountain” from our fans.

That’s what happens when you get a bunch of drunk 20-something year olds packed into a room with blood flying everywhere. Everyone pulls their cock out and compares it and then calls every other guy with their dick out a fag… Can’t stand immaturity. But that’s why I write here and avoid the bars. The most I want to spend with these guys is when a ring is set up.

Most of the young guys take lessons from the old man pretty well though. It’s clear to see some of these guys are sticking around here not for the money (ha!) but for the simple fact they’re getting (practically free) lessons from Nemesis. Lug might be the most intense of them all, taking everything as if he was a fresh recruit off the street. He’s like a son.

Speaking of which, I should probably call Ash up soon. Too bad you’re not like that damn Siri and remember everything for me. That thing is so necessary. Man, if I had that 30 years ago when I first started in the biz, I might have remembered some of the training sessions I ended up missing. Who knows, I might even have been wrestling to this day if Siri were around. Damn knees. Damn Siri.

Week 2 - Wednesday Night - January 2014

On the plane home from Raleigh.

Did a favor for Sam Keith these past few days and worked with some Mid Atlantic guys in preparation for the Rip Chord Invitational. Teaching some of the bigger guys how to pace themselves. While I was there, I also managed to help IPW a bit.

-Joined Confederation of the Territories.

Thought this was a smart idea because it protects us from CZCW and helps us get the name out. Plus we can bring in talent for one off nights.

-Finalized the contract of my two newest acquisitions.

Busy day. All’s quiet on the homefront and for once I can’t complain. Especially compared to PGHW. Sadaharu Jimbo retired last night leaving the company in his nephew’s hands. Can you imagine how that’ll go over in Japan?

No you can’t. You’re a f*cking piece of paper. Damnit.

Number One Contender’s Match

Lil Henry w/ Anslem Briggs vs. Frantic Ali

The main event comes in the form of a number one contender's match. Both men came off of wins two weeks ago and the IPW powers decided that both have enough momentum to justify a title shot. However, they must win this match to earn it and Anslem Briggs has promised that there is no way Ali is able to lift up Henry like he did Colossus two weeks before.

IPW Championship Match

Hustle Muvva w/ Cindy © vs. BB Colossus

Hustle Muvva requested this match specifically against Colossus saying Colossus was the only man who could possibly give Muvva a challenge. Will BB Colossus reign supreme for his first title reign or will Muvva somehow pull it off again?

IPW California Championship Match - Irish Bar Fight

Lug Phelan © vs. The Outlaw

The Outlaw earned his shot two weeks ago by taking initiative against Fiasco Fierce. However, Phelan is fighting in his specialty match and after punting Kip Keenan two weeks ago, Phelan seems unstoppable.

IPW Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match

Coulrophobia © vs. The Night Terrors

With the tag championship going undecided last month, the IPW powers that be decided to set up a way for both teams to stay in the ring - a steel cage match. Will the clowns stay as champions or will it be a nightmare?

Ray Snow vs. The Masked Stranger

Both men coming off of losses this past match means that both men are desperate for a win. For Snow it could propel him into a championship contendership, for the Stranger though it means a return to glory and perhaps a rematch for the belt very soon.

IPW Friday Night Fights

Friday, Week 3, January

Announce Team

Moses Makesh
|
Luther Judge

”Can ya believe it’s been two weeks already Moses? It’s time for some IP-Dub action here at the Bottom of the Hill.”

”And we have great matches Luther. Somebody’s gonna get their ass kicked tonight!”

http://i.imgur.com/iAHHSa5.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/umrVbqm.jpg

Ray Snow vs. The Masked Stranger

Unlike last week, Ray Snow knew his opponent ahead of show time but that extra preparation did no good as the former IPW champion made quick work of “Ice Cold” forcing Snow to tap out by way of the Cobra Clutch.

While the
Masked Stranger
certainly made short work of his opponent tonight, he is not ready to hit the showers just yet as he calls for a microphone.

”Two weeks ago, a travesty was committed here in the IPW and while the IPW bookerman, the one they call Nemesis, denied my rightful rematch tonight, I am not out of the title picture just yet. You see, I am the tradition. I am the backbone of this sport. It is men like me that the one hit wonders, like Hustle Muvva, climb on to succeed but are not sustainable nor are they successful.

“I am sustainable. I am the real deal. I am a superstar. And losing a fluke match two weeks only knocked me down the latter according to the likes of Nemesis.

“So… I will bide my time. I will play the role of curtain jerker. I will wait for the perfect opportunity because there will be that moment when you’re not paying attention, when all seems right Hustle Muvva, BB Colossus or whoever else has the IPW championship and that’s when tradition will succeed. That’s when right will overcome wrong. That’s when the Masked Stranger, and everything I stand for, will reign atop the IPW once again.

“And until then? Look at Ray Snow and stay out of my way.”

The Masked Stranger gives a stomp for good measure as he drops out of the ring, leaving the microphone and a beaten Ray Snow behind.

As the steel cage is being set up, a video plays on the big screen showing highlights from the tag team championship and aftermath from two weeks ago.

IPW Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match

Coulrophobia © vs. The Night Terrors

The announce team reminds DVD viewers of their last match and how the IPW match makers decided to force the two teams to be locked in a cage. Unlike normal cage matches, IPW cages were much more brutal and could only be ended on pinfalls or submissions and the two teams, which had been feuding for a few months now, certainly showed that despite only two teams currently, the tag team division was still formidable in IPW. Both teams took it to each other and as both teams were masked, there was quite a few attempts at demasking. One attempt had Hellech and Pierrot had Moroi’s face pinned to the cage wall, attempting to use the wall to demask Moroi. This however would be the turning point as Babau came flying from one of the turnbuckles and once again hit his double missle dropkick (as he did two weeks ago). This gave enough of a reprieve for Moroi and he and Babau were able to connect with the Sleep Paralysis (aided snap swinging neckbreaker) on Hellech and Babau grabbed the pin.

As the cage was being teared down,
Lug Phelan
came out. The IPW Californian champion had a microphone in hand and held it up, to speak.

”Well it’s a damn good day to be in San Francisco today. All is well. The Irish Warrior is your Californian champion. Two weeks ago I took care of Kip Keenan and it turns out his partner T-Bone left the company after you all tortured him with your chants.

“Words have a way of affecting people. They can really f*ck with someone’s sense of direction and really disturb a kid. So, I’m not sure whether you’re conscious or not Kip, but next month is the IPW Trios Tournament and the winners get tag title and a shot at the IPW title. I’m looking for a team and now I know you are too. Here’s my offer. Sure I knocked you the f*ck out, but it could’ve been worse! You could be my opponent tonight.

“I’m taking on the one you lads call Brokeback Mountain. Now, back home I don’t know much about cowboys, but I know a bit about outlaws. See, Ireland is home to outlaws. I grew up with the worst of them. So you think I’m scared of you Outlaw, you got another thing coming. Why don’t you come on out and learn what it’s like to experience pain.”

http://i.imgur.com/EfK6vyl.jpg

IPW California Championship Match - Irish Bar Fight

Lug Phelan © vs. The Outlaw

Last month saw The Outlaw grab a victory over Fiasco Fierce and earn himself a shot at the IPW Californian belt. However, his momentum couldn’t carry him into this match as much as he would’ve liked it as Phelan was simply too dominant in this match, much like last week. The Irish Warrior’s fists were too much and the Gutwrench Backbreaker followed by a Punt Kick spelled doom for the Outlaw. However, before referee Gil Thomas could stop the fight completely or declare Outlaw knocked out, Phelan set him up for a second punt kick. Before he could connect though, Outlaw had slumped over and Thomas immediately called for the bell.

Backstage,
Frantic Ali
is tying his boots when a door opens off screen and in steps
Anslem Briggs
. Ali looks beyond Briggs to see if Lil Henry is with him, but the big man is nowhere in sight.

”Calm down Ali. Henry is doing his pre-match ritual. It’s just you and I.”

”What do you want Briggs?”

”What do I want? I want to spare you from ending your career. I want to make sure you know you’re about the make the biggest mistake of your life. I want you to forfeit the main event match tonight.”

”Forfeit? Did you not see me just two weeks ago? I lifted up BB Colossus and connected with my legendary Death Valley Driver. Do you think I fear Henry? Unless you forgot, I was the man who beat Henry for the title!”
Briggs sneers at this comment.
”I am a two time IPW champion and tonight, after I put Henry’s shoulders to the mat for the three count, I will be a three time champion!.”

”Remember the summer of 2012? There was only one man who was dominant in the IPW and that was Lil Henry. Unless YOU forgot, Lil Henry nearly ended your career as he put you out of action for the entire summer and the ONLY reason you beat him for the belt is because you used a steel pipe. Now, last chance. Otherwise we will end your career.”

”See that was your mistake. You guys didn’t put me down and since then, I’ve had Henry’s number every damn time. Now, get out of MY locker room and make sure Henry is ready to be brought to Death Valley.”

Anslem Briggs doesn’t have a response and simply leaves, furious over the treatment from Frantic Ali.

IPW Championship Match

Hustle Muvva w/ Cindy © vs. BB Colossus

The crowd was hot for this one, although it might have been more for Cindy than the matchup in the ring. The two men really went to town on each other for the belt and surprisingly there was something of a chemistry between the two men as they fought a solid match. Weapons, of course, came into play as did Cindy’s distractions. However, Colossus seemingly looked past it out and simply dominated Muvva from post to post. However, Colossus could not overlook a topless Cindy and Hustle Muvva took advantage using a steel chair to the back of Colossus’ head to knock him down. The rest was academic.

http://i.imgur.com/1gCWI7t.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/p67RePT.jpg

Hustle Muvva
, covered the blood of Colossus, calls for a microphone and Cindy to join him.

”That’s right. That’s how we do. Listen up, Henry, Ali - you two seem to think you have it in the bag. Well look at Colossus. I specifically chose this big ass motherf*cker so I could show you both, you can’t overlook me. I don’t give a damn what I have to go through, I will NOT lose my belt.”

Muvva drops the microphone, obviously pumped from his win.

”The champ is business. And looks like he’s joining us for this main event.”

”I can’t argue with his success, brutha, but lemme tell ya I can’t condone his dirty actions!”

http://i.imgur.com/LlQCXG7.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/bIdPvJo.jpghttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9608/zyem.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/Ef1fjos.jpg

Number One Contender’s Match

Lil Henry w/ Anslem Briggs vs. Frantic Ali

The main event turned out to be just what the doctor orders as Henry and Ali went toe to toe. Briggs kept his distance during the match, which as the announcers remarked, was a bit different than what the IPW crowds were used to. Despite the booking however, this match didn’t deserve it’s spot in the card as Henry and Ali seemed to just bludgeon each other with weapons and were largely incoherent with each other. The crowd ate it up though. Big spot came when Ali put Henry on his shoulders but the bigger man flattened the smaller one and Henry almost scored the pin. This played into Ali’s mind quite a bit as the match continued and it played into the finish as instead of going for the Death Valley Driver, Ali instead took out Henry’s legs and managed to somehow get the O’Connor Roll held on long enough to win the match.

Frantic Ali d. Lil Henry via the O’Connor Roll (Pinfall, 17:37, E)

As the match ends, the champion stands from his ringside seat holding up his belt. Ali simply motions for the belt as we fade.

[i am sort of surprised at the lack of predictability in the main event. I thought it would be obvious that Frantic was going over Lil Henry, especially since Ali did defeat Colossus the show before, but I guess not! Also, the tag titles seemed less than obvious. Everything else was elementary...]

I'm a huge fan of the Outlaw, but don't think he takes it here.

I do too. Too bad the IPW crowd (IG) hates him. Oh gosh do they hate him.
