Cheers for letting me know, Mootinie. As for the Wrestle-1 roster, my final thought is that Masakatsu Funaki would make a good one-off match or guest appearance for Suzukigun, being that he co-founded Pancrase with Minoru Suzuki. As for Wrestle-1 as a whole... yeah, it's looking more and more like a good and easy buy. Good on you. :p

Yeah, I certainly agree that with Naito at the helm now, adding more guys to the ranks of S-G isn't a bad shout. I'll give it some thought.

Only Daisuke Harada makes sense to keep. Maybe Keiji Mutoh for backstage. Damn Wrestle-1 roster is terrible. Also Shingo Takagi for G1 :)

In fairness to them, they are broke, haha. And they pay Mutoh $6,000 per appearance, which is just absolutely ridiculous. He's got to take up a good 20% of their over-inflated wage budget.

Seiki Yoshioka is a pretty good Junior Heavyweight, had a great match with Seiya Sanada.

I'm tempted to sign him to development. Actually, I've signed a few guys already, I'll announce them soon.

Maskatsu Funaki & Minoru Suzuki vs. Katsuyori Shibata & Kazushi Sakuraba is a match tailor-made for World Tag League. :p

Goodness! Makes me quite tempted to play a game as Wrestle-1 and see how far they can go.

...

You mind linking the database?

Is one of them Seiya Sanada? :o

It's Fleisch's January 2015 Real World Chronicles, found it here: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=529736
Cheers. Gonna edit any W-1 titles though. I'm thinking W-1 World Championship (with Muta as starting champion), W-1 Tag Team Championships (Team 246) and then maybe a W-1 Women's Championship (after all, it's !Fighting Entertainment!)

Edit: Logo and Pic Packs aren't accessible. Any links there you know about?

I can neither confirm nor deny! :p What's with the Sanada love on this board?! You and MHero both seem to love him. :')

He's good looking, can wrestle a good match, is a Muta student/protege and could have been the future ace to All Japan and Wrestle-1. It's not quite a dream match like Misawa/Muta, Akiyama/Chono or Tsurata/Inoki, but building him as a counter-ace to Okada works on a number of levels.

Didn't really care for Great Sanada, but the guy just screams money. Young too, so there's that too.

So you can eventually have your next ace dethrone Muta? Truth be told, I think you could do good things with W-1, you just have to hope the younger guys improve very, very quickly.

I think the newest Real World Chronicles picture pack will probably work. That can be found in Fleisch's thread. :)

I've never been a big fan to be honest, hence not signing him. I generally tend to find that he never improves. I signed him in my last NJPW game and he got stuck at average. I'll think about bringing him in though, having new blood can never hurt.

Fixed. Plus I'll be avataring Muta, so no 6,000 per appearance cost to drag the company down and no problems about putting other people over.

I'll make sure to put Sanada at excellent potential. ;)

Bad destiny roll and/or potential?

Toru Yano to win everything!

And make a DVD about it!

Joe! Petron! Strong! Fale! Good God!

Nice to see this baby is still chugging along, Moot.

Cheers bud. I gotta finish what I started.

Block A feels way overstacked.

Probably because it is. But I was pleasantly surprised during my BOSJ because I felt Block A was weak back then. But the matches in that block were always considerably better than Block B's matches. The same could definitely happen here.

So I've just now caught up on everything and am a very novice NJPW fan. I only know the Americans and the big time names (Tana, Okada, Nakamura, Ibushi) but I'll try and predict some. Guessing (again, pretty uninformed) that Ibushi and Fale come out of the two blocks. I really hope Roddy has a strong showing here, he's maybe my favorite in the world not named Adam Cole and the Young Bucks

Really appreciate the comments guys. Looking forward to this, the G1 in my last diary netted me my first (and only) DOTM so there's definitely something about this tournament that just captures people's imaginations.

Shibata is gonna win it all peeps! #ShibataTrain

It's not impossible. Losing the tag titles could be the jolt he needs to find that elusive singles success.

So, with Tanahashi & Okada in Block A, this means Okada/Tanahashi? YES!!!!

Yup! I went back and forth on whether to put them into the same block but I thought Tanahashi/Nakamura and Okada/Naito would have lame duck matches compared to what I have now.

Strong, Joe, and Alberto! :D

Prediction prizes paid me well. :)

I rarely post, but I just have to say that this is one of the most consistently good diaries I read. Keep it up!

By the by, what pic pack are you using?

Thank you! I appreciate that.

I made the pic pack myself just for his diary. I'll probably release the pictures as a pack when it's all said and done.

If Yano does as well as he did in the Cup I may cry.

Hahaha that's so harsh. He's not even allowed to win a match? :(:p

That's partly why I like to add the outsiders, adding people that readers recognise gives them somebody identifiable to root for. Always nice to see a fresh face, hope you're enjoying what you're reading. :)

G1 Climax 25 Night 1 Preview

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/g1climax250.jpg

G1 Climax 25 Night 1

July 24th, 2015

The Saitama Super Arena plays host to the first of twelve nights of tournament action. Not present tonight are New Japan Pro-Wrestling's two most prestigious Champions: Tetsuya Naito and Kazuchika Okada, both of whom will return to action tomorrow.

As such, Shinsuke Nakamura steals the spotlight for what promises to be a troublesome clash with the Bullet Club's Underboss, big Bad Luck Fale.

Newcomers have tough battles too, especially Roderick Strong who is faced with the uneviable task of trying to defeat Hiroshi Tanahashi. The war between Meiyu Tag and Great Bash Heel continues as Makabe and Shibata collide.
