This will run in conjunction, but in the beginning slower than, my other diary, [CV97] HGC/TCW: The second Mainstream giant. Eventually, I will most probably discontinue the CV97 diary and focus my time on this one. While I enjoy the format and development of my CV97 diary, I’ve wanted to write for a promotion in a real world mod for some time. I think that writing the CV97 diary has helped me hone my skills, and I now have a much better understanding of what I want to write and how I want to write it. I think it will be a long time before I start something new, so this should be a long project.

But for those of you who are following my CV97 diary, this one will be written in a different format. It will be much closer to the standard diary format on this forum, where each individual main show is posted by itself. As usual however, I will focus on the mainstream side (try to develop characters, angles and promos), but the matches will be summarized unlike those in my CV97 diary (only the important developments within the match will be mentioned).

Rules I will try my best to stick by.

The realistic part:

1. Workers: If someone is retired in real life, I will not have them signed in this diary no matter how bad I want them to wrestle for me… So no Stone Cold Steve Austin, Edge, Shawn Michaels or CM Punk… Even Kurt Angle, who’s on my roster when this game starts but has announced in real life that he will be parting ways with TNA when his contract expires late January, will not have his contract renewed- The only exception to this rule is my avatar, who’s one of my all-time favorite. Still, I will try to keep his usage to a realistic level.

2. Promotion Wars: I will not put WWE out of business or buy it out at any point of time (if I somehow manage to get there). Competition is the best thing for pro wrestling industry and the fans, so I will do my best to keep it out there as much as I can. Therefore, my goal will not be to overtake WWE, but to get TNA to a point where it can legitimately compete with WWE.

3. Growth and development: Once I hit a certain promotion size, I will have two brands: a main brand and a developmental brand. From there on, all signings must remain in the developmental brand for a minimum of six months before being called up to the main roster.

The “Creative” part: not too unrealistic, but very different from what TNA is doing today…

1. Signings: Most of TNA’s stars over the past 10 years were former WWE wrestlers that fell out of favor with the WWE before TNA signed them to capitalize on their overness. In my diary, I will try to avoid this as much as possible, by developing my own stars over time. Most of my current stars are ex-WWE wrestlers (Lashley, Hardys, Drew, Mr. Anderson, etc.) and they will provide me with some good ratings in the beginning, but I will try to build my own stars as soon as I can.

2. Promotion Wars: The WWE has been falling out of grace lately (see next post for details). If TNA ever has a chance to someday become a legitimate competitor of the WWE, it has to start picking up momentum right now. Therefore, we are going at war with WWE and we are going to have to tweak things around if we want to stand a chance. This is why we are going to be implementing some radical changes (see next points)

3. Product: Our stars are not at the same level of those of WWE, and we have no chance against WWE as long as we run a product that is similar or close to WWE’s. This is why we will try to expand our fan base by giving them something different, something special. Against the PG product the WWE has been running for years, we will switch TNA towards attitude entertainment. While mainstream will remain key within the product, we will have much more hardcore matches and sexual content. More details will be revealed in a separate post very soon.

4. Characters: To cope with the new product changes, most of the current TNA roster will have character changes. These new characters will be developed over time, but I’m just writing this so you don’t expect all characters in my diary to gimmick in a similar fashion to the way they do in real life. If you are surprised with how a wrestler is performing, try to forget what he usually does while wrestling in real life, because after all, that’s not his real life character anyway.

Monday Night RAW Review: WWE Struggling?

There’s no way to spin this one. The viewership total for last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the fallout show from Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) the night before, is in and they set a new mark for the lowest total in the three hour era. It’s been a long time since RAW has performed this poorly for USA.

This week’s show garnered just 2.96 million viewers (a 2.16 rating), down from last week’s 3.29 million. It’s the first time the show has dipped below the three million mark since moving to three hours back in 2012.

The hourly rating shows the usual gradual decline, only this time there was little to no interest in the first hour:

Hour one: 3.19 million

Hour two: 2.99 million

Hour three: 2.71 million

What’s really amazing about this is this is the night after what is traditionally a major PPV, one that featured the conclusion of a tournament to crown a new world heavyweight champion. The interest should have been there.

Roman Reigns won said tournament and Sheamus immediately took it from him by cashing his Money in the Bank contract.

TNA: Dixie Carter steps down for Legend!

We have just learned from one of our inside sources that TNA owner Dixie Carter-Salinas has decided to step down from the professional wrestling scene. It has been reported that Mick Foley, one of wrestling’s legends, was able to convince her that now is the best time for TNA to step up, make radical changes and try to go head-to-head with WWE.

Dixie gathered the TNA roster following last night’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, and introduced them to the new TNA Operating Director and Head Booker, Mick Foley. While Dixie will keep the majority of TNA’s ownership, it is believed that her on-screen role will become limited to non-existent, and it will be Foley who will almost have ultimate authority and decision making.

Exclusive Interview with Mick Foley!

Our team at PromotionWars.com has finally succeeded in getting an exclusive interview with the new TNA Operating Director, Mick Foley. Here are some excerpts of the interview.

Events:

Foley confirmed that TNA will be looking to go back to a heavier schedule of events, particularly to reinstate monthly PPVs and sign a good TV deal.

Product Changes:

Foley confirmed that TNA will be shifting towards a more adult-oriented product, including more hardcore segments and matches, as well as mild sexual content. He mentioned that TNA will be phasing out comedy-based characters and bringing some radical changes to most of the gimmicks that are currently being used.

Divisions:

In order to cope with the new product, Foley hinted that there are high possibilities of seeing the current divisions undergo major changes. While the heavyweight and tag team divisions will not be affected much, it is believed that the X division will see decreasing focus, while the women’s division will shift towards a more performance-oriented scheme.

Roster Changes:

Without directly mentioning any new signings or potential releases, Foley hinted that the roster will be undergoing significant changes in the near future, in order to cope with the gradual product shift.

TNA Impact Wrestling Preview

The new TNA Operating Director

had recently announced that TNA and Destination America signed a deal to show TNA Impact Wrestling live every Wednesday at 9 pm ET (8 pm CT). Despite the change at TNA’s position of power, Foley has already announced that TNA will be continuing the World Title Series, although there will be some changes to the current brackets, like having already withdrawn the Knockouts to start with.

With Round 1 (Group Play) of the World Title Series already in the books, this first episode of TNA Impact Wrestling will feature the first four matches of Round 2. In the main event,

I use a checklist as I book shows to keep track of everything going on within the promotion, with an emphasis of the next PPV. This checklist will be available in the first post of this thread and I will keep it up to date. It includes current storylines, upcoming things to hype, talent developments and relationships/friendships currently available in the promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

Josh Matthews, Hector Guerrero and D’Angelo Dinero welcome us to the first episode of TNA Impact Wrestling since Mick Foley took over as TNA Operating Director. They are all excited about the changes that Mick has already started with and they look forward towards a lot of improvements within TNA. They then discuss the World Title Series and inform us that Abyss has replaced one of the knockouts, but there is still one open slot. Finally, they announce that, since the knockouts were withdrawn from the series, they will face off for the TNA Knockouts title tonight!

Our opening match for tonight is the first match in Round 2 of the TNA World Title Series. Eric Young qualified from the Group Play after finishing second in Group TNA Originals, while Bram finished second in Group UK.

TNA World Title Series – Round 2

Eric Young vs. Bram

Bram flies at Young as he’s showing off for the crowd before the bell rings. From there, Bram takes control and uses the ring post and the ring steps to keep the momentum, and start showcasing some features of the product shift that TNA is slowly undergoing. The crowd is really getting into the match though, and they help Young fight back into it. From there on, we see some great back and forth action but Bram eventually nails a Velvet Noise for the win.

Result: Bram defeated Eric Young in 8:49 by pinfall with a Velvet Noise. Bram advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

After the match, Bram decides to add insult to injury and viciously attacks Young as the fans boo.

Kurt Angle’s music hits and he comes out to a huge pop. Angle has a mic in his hand and he makes his way towards the ring.

Angle: There’s a reason that I haven’t participated in the World Title Series, and I haven’t been wrestling much since defeating Eric Young at Bound For Glory. Seventeen years ago, I had my first professional wrestling match, two years after winning the Gold Medal at the 1996 Olympics. Ever since, wrestling has been my life. But you know as well as I do that my wrestling career can’t go on forever, and I know that sooner or later there’ll be time for me to retire.

Angle takes a pause, filled with emotions, and the crowd remains silence, fearing the worse.

Angle: I’ve recently had a lot of time to ponder my future. I’ve compared myself to Kobe Bryant, who’s going through a similar situation at this very time. Even to Peyton Manning who to this day is playing better than any quarterback in the NFL and is shattering records. But I’ve also thought about all the other things I would like to do in my personal life. So here I am, right here in Tampa, FL in front of all of you, and in front of the whole world, and I have to announce to you that I will not be extending my current contract…

The crowd is shocked at the announcement and chants of “One More Match” break out through the entire arena, as Angle’s eyes start filling with tears. Mick Foley’s music hits and out comes the new TNA Operating Director.

Foley: Kurt, my old friend, you were speaking of how things started for you seventeen years ago, but I’ve been there, and I’ve seen you go through all of this. I respect your decision to call it off a career, but right now I am in a position of power and I honestly believe that you still have a lot left in the tank. The fans here are asking for one more match, and I am here to make sure the fans are happy, first and foremost. So what do you say?

Angle: As I said Mick, I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I really want to take off and do other things in life. But my contract still runs until January 31, 2016, and you are a Legend of professional wrestling that I’ve always respected, and respect still, so I am going to give you and the fans what you want. Plus, you’re the boss now, so if you want me to wrestle one more match, at Final Resolution, you got that!

The arena explodes as the fans cheer at this announcement and start chanting for Angle.

Foley: Well, I am going to give you and the fans more than that. Kurt Angle, this is not going to be one last match, it’s going to be one last tournament, and potentially, one last championship! As you know, we still have an open slot in the World Title Series after taking the Knockouts out, and this spot now belongs to you. So next week, Kurt Angle, you will go one-on-one, against Bobby Roode!!!

Angle can’t believe it! He looks so excited at this opportunity of winning one more World Championship before he retires. The fans in the arena are loving it and Mick Foley is giving a great first impression on how he’s going to run things. Bobby Roode’s music hits and he comes out to another big pop from the fans.

Roode gets to the ring and has a face-off with Angle. Roode says it will be an honor for him to fight Kurt Angle next week in one of the legend’s final wrestling matches. Roode extends his hand, offering Angle a handshake, and Angle shakes Roode’s hand. Mick Foley raises both wrestlers’ hand to end it.

Our second match for tonight is also a Round 2 match in the TNA World Title Series. Mahabali Shera qualified from the Group Play after finishing first in Group Wildcard, while Eli Drake finished first in Group Future 4.

This was decent little match that served its purpose if calming things down a bit after the great previous angle. Both wrestlers get their share of offense until Shera hits a Veera Bomb for the win.

Result: Mahabali Shera defeated Eli Drake in 4:56 by pinfall with a Veera Bomb. Mahabali Shera advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

Borash: Ladies and Gentlemen, I am here with 2-time TNA Knockouts Champion, Velvet Sky. Velvet, around seven months ago, you made your anticipated return to TNA and attacked your long-time partner Angelina Love. You then defeated her two months later to get your spot back in the company. The Beautiful People has always been a force to reckon within the TNA Knockouts Division, do you think you have done the right thing by breaking away from the Beautiful People?

Sky: Of course, Jeremy, there is no doubt about that. You said it yourself; breaking away from The Beautiful People got me my job back. And now look at me and look at The Beautiful People. I am here, ready to be a force in the Knockouts Division once again, while Angelina is away and Madison is all by herself.

The Beautiful People’s music hits and out comes Madison Rayne, accompanied by a new knockout making her debut, to interrupt Velvet Sky.

And here, allow me to introduce to you, the newest member of The Beautiful People, and your opponent next week, Shaul Guerrero.

Dinero: Oh my God, Hector! It’s your granddaughter! I can’t believe you’ve been sitting there silent like nothing was happening during all this time she was making her way to the ring.

Hector: Well, trust me D’Angelo, I am filled with emotions and overjoyed, I cannot find the words right now.

Rayne: You see Velvet, TNA has a new Operating Director and he’s making big changes. There will be no place anymore for girls like you over here, girls who chase guys to get their things done. Nor will there be a place for girls like Brooke Tessmacher, who care more about appearing on Playboy Magazine than in a match in the ring. We, The Beautiful People, on the other hand, work hard day and night. This is where we belong and we will make sure we beat the shit out of you before we kick you out.

Velvet attacks Madison but she quickly gets outnumbered as Shaul jumps her down for the double team.

Gail Kim also runs down and demolishes Brooke, as Madison and Shaul beat up Velvet. Gail tosses Brooke to the floor then follows and smashes Brooke’s back into the barricade. Gail continues beating up Brooke while yelling: “You think you’re good enough to win MY title? You want to be a hero?”

We cut backstage where Mr. Fabulous makes his TNA debut and announces that he has just signed a contract with ‘The Monster’ Abyss. With this contract, Mr. Fabulous will become Abyss’ official manager and ringside worker. Mr. Fabulous says that while everybody used to be afraid of ‘The Monster’ Abyss in the past, this will not be the case anymore, because people cannot fear what they don’t understand…

Drew Galloway vs. Tyrus

Tyrus gets the upper hand early on with a cheap shot. From there on, he takes control and smacks Drew around, taunting him and the fans. Tyrus keeps control for some time and really works Drew’s right knee over and over. Drew eventually counters with a neckbreaker onto the knee and from there on we see an action-packed match. The finish comes when Tyrus walks into a big boot and Drew calls for a Future Shock.

Bobbly Lashley hits the ring and attacks Drew Galloway, causing the DQ.

Result: Drew Galloway defeated Tyrus in 7:52 by DQ when Bobby Lashley attacked Drew Galloway.

After the match, a big brawl breaks out between Galloway and Lashley and they take it out of the ring and all the way up the ramp.

Josh: These two can’t even wait until next week! They are throwing everything at each other right here. Somebody’s got to do something.

Dinero: Well, as far as I’m concerned Mike, I’m just glad I’ll be here next week to see them facing off in the World Title Series.

Drew is selling his right knee injury and he eventually stumbles on the ramp and Lashley nails him with a Spear!

We cut backstage where Mick Foley is his office when the door knocks and Kurt Angle comes in. Angle thanks Foley for giving him the opportunity to win the TNA World Heavyweight title for the seventh time and become a 12-time World Champion (Angle has previously won 4 WWE Heavyweight titles and 1 WCW Heavyweight title). Angle says his contract couldn’t have ended in a better way and it’s all thanks to Foley.

Match number 4 for tonight is for the TNA Knockouts Championship. Awesome Kong and Gail Kim had qualified to the second round of the World Title Series out of Group Knockouts, but when Mick Foley decided to withdraw the Knockouts from the series, he announced that they will face each other for the title.

We see some great action between these two Knockouts, who know each other very well. It’s back and forth all the way, and the announce team can’t call who’s going to win. Kong eventually gets the upper hand and starts smacking Gail around. Gail somehow turns things around and shoves Kong, who knocks down the referee Earl Hebner. Kong is furious and Gail rolls to the floor for a breather. Kong follows but Gail grabs a steel chair and gets back in the ring. Gail nails Kong with a chair shot to the head and quickly throws the chair out of the ring. Earl Hebner recovers and Gail pins Kong for the win.

Result: Gail Kim © defeated Awesome Kong in 6:49 by pinfall after using a foreign object. Gail Kim makes defence number 1 of the TNA Knockouts title.

This goes down as a decent match that could have gone better. While Eddie Edwards is not a typical manager, his presence at ringside lifted the match, especially with the heelish actions following American Wolves’ recent heel turn. After a lot of back and forth, Matt Hardy connected with a kick to the gut and followed with a Twist of Fate for the win, despite Edwards trying to distract the referee.

Result: Matt Hardy defeated Davey Richards in 9:23 by pinfall with a Twist of Fate. Matt Hardy advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

It’s time for our Main Event for tonight and it is the last Round 2 match in the TNA World Title Series for this evening. Ethan Carter III qualified from the Group Play after finishing first in Group Champions, while DJ Zema Ion finished first in Group X Division.

The match is under way with some back and forth action for few minutes before EC3 takes full control. EC3 mounts Zema with lefts and rights and keeps the pressure up, giving him no breather at all. Zema has some good moments, but every time he does something, he ends up being overwhelmed once again by EC3.

Dinero: EC3 is fighting like a real champion here. He is certainly proving his point that his match against Matt Hardy at Bound For Glory should have been void, and he should have retained the World Heavyweight title.

Eventually, EC3 has Zema in the corner and he charges, but Zema slides away, sending EC3 into the ring post and turning things around. It only takes a little bit more than a couple of minutes for EC3 to get back on the offensive though and after some more powerful moves from him, he connects with a Sweet Meat Sizzler for the win.

Result: Ethan Carter III defeated DJ Zema Ion in 11:40 by pinfall with a Sweet Meat Sizzler. Ethan Carter III advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

Josh Matthews, Hector Guerrero and D’Angelo Dinero welcome us to another episode of TNA Impact Wrestling. We see footage from last week’s segment with Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Bobby Roode as our commentators hype tonight’s main event. We head to the ring where Abyss’ new manager Mr. Fabulous cuts a promo on how he’s going to lead Abyss to finally winning his first TNA World Heavyweight title and listing his name on the Triple Crown list. Mr. Fabulous says we will all see a demonstration right away, in Abyss’ second round match in the World Title Series.

TNA World Title Series – Round 2

Abyss (w. Mr. Fabulous) vs. Jessie

Jessie actually got some offense going, but every time he did something, no matter how insignificant it was, he would celebrate as if he had won the match, and salute the fans. Eventually, Abyss dominated and showed us a serious display of power until he nailed a Black Hole Slam for the win.

Result: Abyss defeated Jessie in 7:32 by pinfall with a Black Hole Slam. Abyss advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

American Wolves are backstage and they cut a promo about how awesome they are, bringing up the fact that they have together won 8 different tag team titles around the world, including 5 here in TNA.

Mick Foley bumps into them and tells them that, since they are so much full of themselves, they are going to defend their tag team titles at Final Resolution, against one of the four wrestlers that will be eliminated from the World Title Series tonight and a partner of his choosing.

Davey Richards tells Foley that if everyone who’s eliminated is at the same level of Jessie, then it might be the easiest title defence they ever made.

Gail Kim is in her locker room when the door knocks and in comes Bram. Bram tells Gail that together they can achieve great things and he will prove it tonight in their mixed tag team match against Mr. Anderson and Brooke Tessmacher. Gail says she’s not worried about Brooke and she will destroy her at Final Resolution, but tells Bram that they shouldn’t take Mr. Anderson lightly. Bram tells her not to worry; he almost had Mr. Anderson on Xplosion last night if not for the double count-out.

Our second match for tonight features the in-ring debut of the newest member of The Beautiful People, Shaul Guerrero. After Velvet Sky’s entrance, we see footage of what happened last week when Madison Rayne introduced Guerrero to Velvet before The Beautiful People viciously attacked Velvet.

Velvet Sky vs. Shaul Guerrero

This was actually an extremely poor match in which Shaul continued to botch moves until Velvet nailed a Double Knee Backbreaker for the win. Shaul looked promising but she needs time to get there.

Result: Velvet Sky defeated Shaul Guerrero in 3:44 by pinfall with a Double Knee Backbreaker.

Our next match is right away and is the sixth match in the second round of the TNA World Title Series. Drew Galloway and Bobby Lashley get to settle the score in the ring following their big brawl last one, when Lashley attacked Drew during his match against Tyrus, causing the DQ. Drew qualified from the Group Play after finishing first in Group UK, while Lashley finished second in Group Champions.

TNA World Title Series – Round 2

Drew Galloway vs. Bobby Lashley

This was a good match that also featured very good crowd reaction. It was actually better than any of the six matches that took place last week, and could have well be the match of the night if it wasn’t for the big main event.

Drew and Lashley just threw everything at each other in a match that was full of offense from both sides, lots of pin attempts and momentum shifts. In the end, Lashley blocked a Future Shock and laid out Drew with a Knock Out Punch for the win.

Result: Bobby Lashley defeated Drew Galloway in 9:51 by pinfall with a Knock Out Punch. Bobby Lashley advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series.

We head backstage where Bobby Roode is warming up for the main event when Kurt Angle bumps into him. They talk about how impressive both Abyss and Lashley looked tonight. They then shake hands and wish each other luck in the main event, agreeing that “may the better man win”.

Match number 4 for tonight is the seventh match in Round 2 of the World Title Series. Tigre Uno qualified after finishing second in Group X Division, while Kenny King finished second in Group Wildcard. Before the match kicked off, Mick Foley came out on stage and told Tigre Uno that this will not only be a match in the World Title Series, but Tigre Uno will also be putting his X Division Championship on the line!

This went down as pretty much what you would have expected from these two X Division stars. It was a fast-paced, action-packed match that was full of aerial, flashy and high risk moves from both ends. In the end, King botched a moonsault and Tigre Uno capitalized and nailed a 450 Degrees Splash for the win.

Result: Tigre Uno © defeated Kenny King in 6:01 by pinfall with a 450 Degrees Splash. Tigre Uno advances to the quarter-finals of the World Title Series. Tigre Uno makes defence number 1 of the TNA X Division title.

Mixed Tag Team

Mr. Anderson & Brooke Tessmacher vs. Bram & Gail Kim

There was a lot of heat involved in this one between the TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim and her challenger at Final Resolution, Brooke Tessmacher. After some average back and forth action, Mr. Anderson looked like closing down on the win but Gail ran in and attacked him. Brooke met Gail and they brawled, with Brooke eventually getting the upper hand. Bram tried to cheapshot Brooke but Mr. Anderson spinkicked him to the mat, then picked him up and nailed a Mic Check for the win.

Result: Mr. Anderson & Brooke Tessmacher defeated Bram & Gail Kim in 7:35 when Mr. Anderson defeated Bram by pinfall with a Mic Check.

It’s time for our Main Event for tonight and it is the last Round 2 match in the TNA World Title Series. It’s time to know who will book the last spot in the quarter-finals that will take place on Impact Wrestling next week. Bobby Roode qualified from the Group Play after finishing first in Group TNA Originals, while Kurt Angle was granted his spot by Mick Foley, replacing Gail Kim.

Despite the unusual fact of having a match between two faces, this was by far the match of the night. Angle and Roode absolutely tore into each other and it resembled more like a bar brawl than a wrestling match. Despite no serious heat between these two, they threw everything at each other in and out of the ring. They eventually took it to the outside and the referee started to count as they both slowly made their way up the ramp, trading heavy blows. Angle finally slammed Roode into the barricade as the referee counted 9, and hurried up towards the ring, but he was too late and they were both counted out!

Result: Kurt Angle drew with Bobby Roode in 15:30 following a double count-out. Abyss advances to the semi-finals of the World Title Series.

Dinero: What a match! Well worth of a main event PPV, but you just saw it here for free on Impact Wrestling! Welcome to the new TNA!

Josh: You got to wonder if this is the end for Angle though. Mick gave him one last shot at becoming a 12-time world heavyweight champion but he just blew it away…

Guerrero: That’s right, Mike. And I can tell you, the happiest guy about this right now is ‘The Monster’ Abyss, who just became the first superstar to book his spot in the semi-finals of the World Title Series at Final Resolution, with both Angle and Roode eliminated now.

After the match, Bobby Roode joins Kurt Angle, who’s already in the ring, and they shake hands. Angle goes to the floor and grabs a mic to address the fans while Roode makes his way backstage up the ramp.

Angle: Well, I guess this is it as far as the only Olympic Gold Medalist in professional wrestling is concerned. You wanted one more match and Mick gave me one last shot, and I thank him again for that, but I messed up.

Angle is full with emotions and he has tears in his eyes as chants of “One Last Match!” break out once again in the arena.

Angle: I hear you chanting for me and I appreciate that. But you know, if you do this every week, this will keep going on forever. I would have loved to but unfortunately, I have already made my decision to pursue other things in my life. My current contract still runs until January 31, 2016, so I will still be around until then unless Mick doesn’t want me to. And before I go, I want to thank each and every one of you for everything you have done for me, for this company and for this sport. This ring, this industry, and the superstars that work hard day and night to keep it going, are nothing without you. Thank you all! I Love You!

Angle starts making his way out of the ring when huge “Thank You Angle” chants break out within the crowd. Angle drops to the floor and starts circling the ring, waving for the fans with his hand when…

Austin Aries shows up out of nowhere and lays out Angle with a huge boot!

Josh: Oh My God! It’s Austin Aries! Where the hell did we come from and what on Earth is he doing?

Dinero: Austin Aries is back on TNA Impact Wrestling, Josh, and he’s just proving a point against one of the all-time greats.

Aries picks up Angle and smashes his head into the ring steps, then sends him back-first into the barricade.

Josh: This guy is an icon of professional wrestling who has just given his retirement speech. For the love of God, give him a break…

Aries takes Angle towards this announce table and nails him with a Last Chancery through it! Aries then picks up a mic and starts yelling at Angle.

Aries: You thought you could leave just like that?! You’re wrong! Nobody gets all the fame and leaves while I’m here! So if Kurt Angle really wants to retire, then Kurt Angle’s final match will be against Austin Aries! So if you’re man enough Kurt Angle, take this challenge and face me right here next week! And after the match, you won’t be going to pursue other things in your life like you just said, Angle! After the match, you will be going to the hospital!

Aries drops the mic and makes his way backstage as medics and officials run down to check on Angle and Impact goes off the air…

Foley culls down the roster!

The new TNA Operating Director, Mick Foley, has culled down the roster to adapt it as TNA adjusts towards its new product. Our team at PromotionWars.com has received reports that several wrestlers and backstage workers were officially released by the company over the last couple of days.
