Impact Checklist – 2 weeks to Against All Odds

Current Main Storylines

World Title Race – EC3 was defending his title against Matt Hardy once again, when Bobby Lashley interfered, ending the match in a no contest. Foley booked EC3 vs. Hardy vs. Lashley at Against All Odds.

AJ Styles vs. Bobby Roode – Styles and Roode argued on Impact and Foley booked Styles vs. Roode at Against All Odds. Later on the show, AJ Styles & Bram defeated Dirty Heels and Roode assaulted Styles after the match.

Bram vs. Mr. Anderson – Mr. Anderson had an interview and challenged Bram to a match at Against All Odds.

Eric Young vs. Manik – Young trash talked Manik before the 5 vs. 5 elimination match at Genesis. Manik used his call two weeks ago on Impact and requested a match against Young but lost.

Knockouts Stories – Madison Rayne defeated Taryn Terrell in a Ladder match after Childs interfered. Kong made a return to Impact and she wanted a piece of Gail.

Other Stories

Jeff Hardy is returning soon.

Masada defeated Hernandez in a Street Fight match on Impact.

Richards tried to change Velvet’s match stipulations. Gail and Tyrus attacked Velvet after her match but Richards ran down for the save.

Childs harassed Taryn until Edwards made the save. Childs and Edwards were later forced to team up in a losing effort against The Blazing Brothers, after Childs walked out of the match.

The show opens with EC3 in the ring.

EC3: I came out here to talk because I’m sick of the fact that people keep coming after me. Matt keeps asking for title shots, he miserably fails but he keeps getting them. Lashley hasn’t been able to keep his nose out of my business for the past couple of weeks. And last but not least, Jeff shows up on the big screen last week, during MY match, and starts sending me messages and playing mind games. Like this is the one other thing that I had to worry about. So I’m sick of things dragging and I just thought I’d come out here and ask Matt and Lashley to come down and meet me face to face, so that we get it done with!

Mick Foley’s music hits and he comes out and makes his way to the ring with a mic in his hand.

Foley: Wow, I admire your courage, Ethan. But the last time I checked, it was Mick Foley, and not Ethan Carter III who was the TNA Operating Director. So I just wanted to come out here and remind you that I am the one who calls the shots in here. And if you continue trying to create chaos, I will not hesitate to strip you of the TNA World Heavyweight title and fire you!

The crowd is cheering for Mick as EC3 doesn’t look too impressed with the statement.

Foley: Now that that’s done with, I’m gonna do my job and book the main event for tonight. We all know that, at Against All Odds, we will have 3 big matches involving you and your new Main Event Mafia buddies: Masada vs. Aries for the X division title, Styles vs. Roode and Hardy vs. Lashley vs. EC3 for the World Heavyweight title. So tonight, in our main event, I want you to be here and watch what these other wrestlers can offer, because we will have a 6-man tag team match, when AJ Styles teams up with Masada and Matt Hardy to take on Bobby Lashley and Dirty Heels!

Eric Young vs. Brian Myers

Myers locks Young up in a bear hug, but Young fights out only to get knocked out with a clothesline. Myers dominates some time until Young fights back into it and nails a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex for 2. Young goes for the Showstopper but Myers reverses it and nails a DDT. Back and forth action from there until Young finally nails a Showstopper for the win.

Result: Eric Young defeated Brian Myers in 6:48 by pinfall with a Showstopper.

After the match, Young is celebrating when Manik sneaks into the ring with a steel chair and nails Young with a chair shot to the back of the head. Manik destroys Young and challenges him to a match at Against All Odds to settle the score between them.

We cut backstage where Taryn Terrell is asking Taryn Terrell how things are going with Davey Richards.

Velvet: Well, last week our date was really great. We got to know each other much better and we talked a lot about our feelings. But what about you and Eddie?

Taryn: So what do you think? Are you saying that Davey might actually be ‘the one’ for you?

Velvet: Well, I don’t know about that already, but I’m quite sure that I’ve felt this way to anyone before.

Taryn: So are you gonna see him again after the show tonight?

Velvet: Yes of course, and you know what, I think that tonight might actually be ‘THE’ night!

We cut to the interview area where Jeremy Borash is with Dirty Heels.

Borash: Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m here with Dirty Heels, and we’re going to talk real quick about their match tonight, as well as their respective matches at Against All Odds. We’ll start with you, Austin.

Aries: Well, Jeremy, I don’t have pretty much to say. Masada is a hardcore wrestler and an intruder in the X division. He should have never won that title. But fortunately for the company, and for everybody, the A Double is here and he’s going to be correcting things at Against All Odds.

Borash: As for you, Bobby, you will be facing one of the best wrestlers on that roster in AJ Styles. What are your thoughts on that?

Roode: I just want to start by saying that I am really disappointed. I’m disappointed that I didn’t separate AJ Styles’ head from his shoulders last week. But that’s fine; because I’m gonna put him out of his misery in the main event tonight. And if AJ Styles somehow survives tonight, then at Against All Odds, AJ Styles, as well as the whole world, will find out that… IT PAYS TO BE ROODE!!!

Our second match for tonight is between two wrestlers that share the same love interest, and that had to team up together last week against The Blazing Brothers.

Old Love vs. New Love

Darin Childs vs. Eddie Edwards (w. Taryn Terrell)

Despite this is being a heel vs. heel match, the crowd was clearly behind Eddie Edwards, who’s been recently booked as if he’s undergoing a slow face turn, because of his romance with Taryn. After some decent back and forth action, Childs got the upper hand until Taryn distracted the referee and Edwards nailed him with a low blow. Edwards then locked in the Achilles Lock for the win!

Result: Eddie Edwards defeated Darin Childs in 4:32 by submission with an Achilles Lock.

Up next is an intergender match between Awesome Kong and Tyrus. We see footage from what happened last week when Kong returned to TNA Impact, wanting a piece of Gail Kim. Tyrus attacked Kong but she laid him out with a spinning back fist and chased Gail through the crowd.

Intergender Match

Awesome Kong vs. Tyrus (w. Gail Kim)

They go at it and as you would have expected, this goes down as nothing but show of pure strength and power. The highlight of the match was when both wrestlers kept nailing huge punches and kicks, one after the other, without any of them being able to knock the other down. The finish saw Awesome Kong block a Tongan Death Grip and nail Tyrus with a Spinning back fist. With Tyrus laid out on the mat, Gail Kim ran in and nailed Kong with a belt shot to the back of the head, causing the DQ.

Result: Awesome Kong defeated Tyrus in 6:46 by DQ when Gail Kim attacked Awesome Kong.

The bell rings and Kong wins by DQ but she turns around to face Gail. Gail starts backing off but Kong has her cornered and unloads on her. They brawl a bit and Kong nails a huge spinning back fist that knocks Gail off!!! Kong calls for an Awesome Bomb but Tyrus attacks her from behind! Tyrus unloads on Kong’s knee until she is barely able to stand. Tyrus keeps working the knee and Gail Kim recovers as Kong is down to one knee, and Gail nails her with an Eat Defeat, finally taking her down to the mat!

Davey Richards & Velvet Sky vs. Jessie & Jade

Jessie jumps Velvet before the bell rings and Richards beats the hell out of him. Jessie fires back and pummels Richards in the corner. They trade shots for some time until Velvet and Jade are in. Jade dominates some and tags Jessie back in for a double suplex. Jade comes back and dominates some more until Velvet finally tags in Richards and we have back and forth action from there. The finish sees Jessie go top rope but Richards kicks him and nails a bulldog. Jade goes top rope but Richards hits the ropes and she falls. Richards tosses Jessie to the floor and tags in Velvet, who nails a Beauty-T for the win!

Result: Davey Richards & Velvet Sky defeated Jessie & Jade in 5:30 when Velvet Sky defeated Jade by pinfall with a Beauty-T.

This was a decent match at best, as neither of these wrestlers is the type that can carry a match. Redman definitely has potential but he still needs a couple of years at least to hit the next level. The match was open with both of them getting a share of offense and few pin attempts, without any of them arguably gaining the upper hand. In the end though, it was Galloway’s experience and sheer determination that prevailed as he nailed a Thee Move and was setting up for a Future Shock when…

Bram: Mr. Anderson!!! I know you were watching this and I hope you were paying attention, because this will be your fate at Against All Odds. I remember that last week, you had the guts to challenge me to a match at Against All Odds. Well, the challenge is accepted. But you see, on February 21, you will be against all odds, because you will be facing us, The British Invasion, in a 1-on-3 handicap match. Now are you gonna be able to beat the odds, Mr. Anderson?! [Laughs devilishly]

We go to the American Wolves’ locker room where Davey and Eddie are catching up.

Edwards: I don’t know about you, buddy, but I think my deal is done. Taryn and I have already shared a moment, and tonight she even helped me beat her ex-boyfriend! It’s only a matter of time before she’s mine.

Richards: Wow, big deal! It’s only a matter of time before she’s yours, but Velvet is already mine! Didn’t you hear her? She said “tonight might be the night”. Well I’ll make sure that tonight WILL be the night, which means that once again, I’m gonna turn out better than you.

AJ Styles, Matt Hardy & Masada vs. Bobby Lashley & Dirty Heels (w. Ethan Carter III)

Aries and Masada start this one off, lock up, and Masada takes Aries down. Masada nails a springboard crossbody, followed by a sweep kick and a standing moonsault for 2. Aries rolls out for a breather but Masada nails a crossbody on the floor and tosses Aries back in. Masada hits a leg drop from the top rope for 2. Roode charges at Masada with a big boot and Aries tags Roode in. Roode pummels Masada in the corner and goes for a splash, but Masada dodges it and gets to AJ Styles. AJ nails a diving forearm on Roode then takes out Aries and Lashley. AJ nails Roode with a top rope elbow drop and tunes up, but EC3 distracts him. AJ takes EC3 off the apron and Hardy starts beating him down. AJ turns around into a Spear from Lashley!!!

Lashley dominates from there on and the heels ground AJ in their corner and take turns coming in and beating him up. AJ finally comes back after nailing Roode with a low blow behind the ref’s back. Both men tag as Aries and Hardy come in. Back and forth action from there for the next several minutes until we end up with Hardy and Lashley in the ring. Lashley nails a big boot and knocks off AJ and Masada, but turns around into a Twist of Fate from Hardy. Dirty Heels beat Hardy down before AJ tags in. Hardy and Lashley brawl through the crowd, and EC3 soon joins them. AJ nails Aries with a Pele Kick in the ring and he calls for Styles Clash. Roode charges but Masada meets him with a Skull****a Buster. AJ nails the Styles Clash on Aries for the win.

Result: AJ Styles, Matt Hardy & Masada defeated Bobby Lashley & Dirty Heels in 17:26 when AJ Styles defeated Austin Aries by pinfall with a Styles Clash.

After the match, Mick Foley immediately comes out on stage and says that any brawling or physical provocation will force him to “make extreme and unfortunate decisions”. Foley also books Hardy vs. Lashley for next week’s episode of Impact Wrestling. Foley’s music hits and Impact goes off the air with AJ Styles and Bobby Roode staring each other down…

Richards: I’ve been trying to call Velvet all week. I left her like a hundred voice messages and sent her over twenty text messages but heard nothing back. I have no idea what to do to make things right…

We see footage of the angle where Velvet Sky overheard them talking in the locker room and revealing their plan…

Richards: Oh come on, Velvet, do you really believe this stupid crap? I respect you far too much than to jeopardize our relationship over some sort of ‘bet’. Look into my eyes and tell me that you really believe there’s nothing between us! [Then turns to address Taryn] And you Taryn, do you really question how Eddie feels towards you? Come on, ladies, I know you’re smarter than that. [Turns back to address Velvet] Velvet, please, accept my apology; this was nothing but a stupid ego issue. [Gets down to his knees] Velvet, I beg you…

Velvet looks like she will break but then turns hear head to Richards, who’s laying it on thick and… Velvet attacks Richards!!! Taryn then attacks Edwards!!!

The Blazing Brothers take control early on, as Matthews and Dinero are questioning whether the American Wolves’ bet was for real. American Wolves turn the tables and regain control, as Taryn and Velvet look disgusted at ringside. The Blazing Brothers finally fight back which draws a nice pop from the crowd. Johnny reaches for the hot tag and gets it, taking out American Wolves.

Johnny goes up but misses a drop from the top rope, Edwards pins him but he kicks out at 2. American Wolves go for a double team on Johnny but they accidentally hit each other and Edwards goes down. Richards blocks a Worst Case Scenario and seems to be regaining the upper hand but Velvet distracts him from ringside. Nicky comes in and The Blazing Brothers nail a double rope-hung DDT for the win!!!

Result: The Blazing Brothers defeated American Wolves in 7:42 when Nicky Blaze defeated Davey Richards by pinfall with a double rope-hung DDT. The Blazing Brothers win the TNA Tag Team titles.

This was a decent match with some nice exchange early on, until the highlight that saw Mr. Anderson go top rope but get caught in mid-air with a sit-down powerbomb. Lee went for the cover but only got a 2 count. Mr. Anderson fought back and got a couple of pin attempts, until he was finally able to hit the Mic Check for the win.

Result: Mr. Anderson defeated Trevor Lee in 5:17 by pinfall with a Mic Check.

Dixie: Let me think what I can do about that. Oh yeah, I have a great idea. At Against All Odds, it will be American Wolves vs. Taryn Terrell & Velvet Sky, and you can settle the score between you and the two of them the way you’d like!

Interestingly enough, Edwards liked the idea and jumped all over the place and started hugging Richards, while Richards didn’t seem to be too thrilled…

This was a 6-man tag team match to build up for the Eric Young vs. Manik match at Against All Odds, as the feud between these two continues. It was a pure classic that included back and forth action with everyone getting their time in. The finish saw Caprice Coleman’s tap out to Manik’s figure-four deathlock.

Result: Manik & The Bro-Mans defeated Eric Young & C&C Wrestle Factory in 6:46 when Manik defeated Caprice Coleman by submission with a figure-four deathlock.

This was a great match and deserved to earn the Match of the Night award. The match had several highlights including a moment where Masada did a flip back into the ring and accidentally knocked down the referee. Aries tried to interfere but Masada knocked him off the apron. Aries found another opening later in the match however and punched out Masada. Roode capitalized and nailed a Roode Bomb for the win.

Result: Bobby Roode defeated Masada in 10:03 by pinfall with a Roode Bomb.

After the match, Aries and Roode stayed at ringside, and were joined by American Wolves and Manik to act as lumberjacks for the main event.

Lumberjacks Match

Matt Hardy vs. Bobby Lashley

Hardy charges at Lashley and takes early control. Lashley fights back and tosses Hardy to the outside. This leads to the lumberjacks beating Hardy down before tossing him back in. Hardy gets tossed outside again, which leads to another beatdown. Lashley dominates with power moves for some time, and then puts Hardy in the Dragon Sleeper but Hardy fights back and makes a comeback.

Hardy fights back with punches and nails a dropkick, before tossing Lashley to the floor. The lumberjacks don’t attack Lashley, which makes Hardy run the ropes and nails a huge suicide dive that takes out all five of the lumberjacks. He throws Lashley back in and sets him up for a Twist of Fate but Aries flies into the ring and all the lumberjacks come in and beat down Hardy.

Result: Matt Hardy vs. Bobby Lashley ended in 10:27 in a no contest after the lumberjacks interfered.

Drew Galloway vs. Darin Childs

It was a bit of a shame to see Drew Galloway on the pre-show card, but the fact is he hasn’t been an integral part of the stories going on Impact TV. Darin Childs seems a fitting opponent for this dark match, with the recent slow push he’s been getting as Taryn’s ex-boyfriend. The match was a good one and each of them got his time, but in the end, it was the veteran who prevailed after a Future Shock.

Result: Drew Galloway defeated Darin Childs in 7:53 by pinfall with a Future Shock.

The show opens with Mike Tenay, Hector Guerrero and D’Angelo Dinero at ringside. They welcome us to the PPV and oddly enough, the first announcement they have is that this will be Mike Tenay’s last appearance with TNA, as he will be taking some time off after his current contract expires. They quickly go through the card and also talk a little bit about Jeff Hardy teasing his return over the past month, and speculate whether we will see him tonight.

In our opening match, Eric Young takes on Manik. We see footage from this feud that started at Genesis, when Young trash talked Manik before the 5 vs. 5 elimination match. We see highlights of Manik eliminating Young from the match, and then from the events that took place afterwards on TV.

Eric Young vs. Manik

Overall, this was a below average match, that didn’t get to the standards of usual openers. It would have made more sense if the time it was given was less, but it was actually long for what these two had to offer in the ring. Eric Young seemed off his game and his selling was all over the place, while Manik tried to salvage something out of the match with flashy high flying moves. The finish saw Young nails the Showstopper for the win.

Result: Eric Young defeated Manik in 11:28 by pinfall with a Showstopper.

The next match is inspired by the ‘Against All Odds’ theme, where Mr. Anderson defies the odds and takes on The British Invasion in a 3-on-1 handicap match. We see a video package of the Mr. Anderson vs. Bram feud, including the 6-man tag team match at Genesis, in which The British Invasion defeated Mr. Anderson, Jonny Storm and Spud.

3-on-1 Handicap Match

Mr. Anderson vs. The British Invasion

Redman starts off and Anderson charges. Redman fights back and drops Anderson with a big elbow. Haskins comes in for some double teaming. Anderson turns it around on Haskins and kicks away. Haskins tags him off and Redman tags back in, as they keep Anderson grounded in the corner. Back and forth action as Anderson tries to make a comeback but Haskins powerbombs him for a 2 count, before Bram finally tags in.

The next portion of the match mostly sees domination from The British Invasion, including a moment where Bram offers Mr. Anderson one last chance to shake his hand. Anderson refuses and kicks Bram’s hand and they brawl. Bram takes Anderson down with a big clothesline, tags Haskins in and orders him to finish Anderson off. Haskins nails a powerbomb but Anderson kicks out at 2!

Anderson slowly fights back into the match, with the crowd cheering for him, and eventually nails a dropkick and a top rope elbow drop. He goes for the pin but Redman breaks it. Bram comes off a tag but is taken out. Anderson then drops Redman off the apron and tosses Haskins to the floor. Anderson nails Haskins with a suicide dive before tossing Redman into the steel steps. He gets back in the ring and nails a dropkick on Bram. Anderson calls for a Mic Check but Bram blocks it and nails the Brighter Side of Suffering out of nowhere for the sudden victory!

Result: The British Invasion defeated Mr. Anderson in 13:30 when Bram defeated Mr. Anderson by pinfall with The Brighter Side of Suffering.

Awesome Kong vs. Gail Kim (w. Tyrus)

As you would have expected from this match, Kong establishes her power early on, while Kim establishes her quickness. Kong finally catches Kim and stretches her out in the Camel Clutch. Kim fights out and they keep exchanging shots until Kong has her in a sleeper hold. Kim escapes with a jawbreaker but Kong ends her rally quickly with a low kick. Kong falls over Kim for a 2 count.

More back and forth action until Kim staggers Kong with a running elbow and sends her to the outside with a dropkick. Kim finishes the job by grounding Kong on the outside, then tries to sneak in and pick up a count-out victory but Kong recovers and makes it before the 10 count.

We see more back and forth action in the ring until they end up brawling on the floor once again. Kong goes for a chokeslam but Kim counters in into a DDT. Both knockouts are down on the floor and hurt. They slowly recover and Kim distracts the referee while making her way back to the ring. Tyrus nails Kong from behind on the back of her head and she goes back down to the floor. The referee doesn’t see it and eventually counts her out and Gail Kim retains.

Result: Gail Kim defeated Awesome Kong in 10:10 by count out. Gail Kim makes defence number 4 of the TNA Knockouts title.

It’s time for what could be the match of the night. The video package for this one takes us back to Genesis when AJ Styles lost despite giving a great effort, costing Kurt Angle a potential contract renewal as a backstage worker with TNA. We also see Bobby Roode claiming responsibility for Team Angle’s loss and other events around this feud over the past month.

They lock up and AJ jabs a lot early on, which pisses Roode off. AJ uses his speed to avoid him and rolls out to the floor. Roode catches up with AJ and the match goes into back and forth action for the next portion. Roode dominates some time and gets a couple of pin attempts. AJ fights back and hits a forearm and both go down.

They recover and we see more back and forth from there. Roode nails a clothesline for 2 before tossing AJ out to the floor. Roode whips AJ into the ring steps and rolls him back in for a 2 count. Roode nails a backbreaker for 2, then another backbreaker that turns into a submission hold but AJ fights out.

They slug it out for some time from there until AJ nails a chop and an atomic drop for the comeback. Roode catches him with a choke but AJ reverses it into a DDT. More back and forth action from there until the finish comes when AJ goes top rope and nails a Superman but Roode kicks out at 2! AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Roode blocks and nails a huge spinebuster. Roode yells out loud and calls for a Roode Bomb, but AJ slides out and nails a Pele Kick followed by a Styles Clash for the win! AJ actually laid back too much while making the cover and his shoulder was down, but the referee didn’t see it.

Result: AJ Styles defeated Bobby Roode in 23:15 by pinfall with a Styles Clash.

We see a recap of American Wolves apparently turning faces over the past couple of months, helping out and romancing Taryn and Velvet. Edwards even used his ‘call’ the show after Genesis to rehire Taryn after Darin Childs dumped her and Dixie used her ‘call’ to fire her! We see the angle where Velvet heard them talking in their locker room, and found out that the reality is each of them was trying to prove the other he’s better by nailing his paramour earlier.

Intergender Tag Team

Taryn Terrell & Velvet Sky vs. American Wolves

Velvet and Richards starts this one off. Richards apologizes but Velvet slaps him and unloads. He tries to calm her down but she keeps up the offensive. Taryn tags in so Richards goes on to tag Edwards. Edwards trash talks to Taryn and she unloads on him. Despite all four showing some intensity throughout it, there was little actual wrestling going on. The knockouts have nothing they can believable use on the guys to take any real advantage, but the match served its purpose of closing this story quite well. The ending was surprising though, as Edwards took out Velvet but Richards argued with him. Richards pulled Velvet up and started apologizing to her. Edwards sneaked in and rolled her up for the win.

Result: American Wolves defeated Taryn Terrell & Velvet Sky in 6:57 when Eddie Edwards defeated Velvet Sky by pinfall with a Roll-up.

After the match, Richards looks torn, while Edwards is ecstatic. This was probably the best part of the match, as what was thought to be a closing chapter of this story didn’t seem like it after all…

They lock and go at it right away and Masada takes it to Aries, fighting like a beast and getting a couple of early pin attempts. Aries goes to the floor for a breather but Masada nails him with a suicide dive. They get up and Aries shoves Masada into the barricade. Back in the ring and Austin chokes Masada on the ropes and refuses to break until a late 4 count. From there on, we have a slow match with back and forth action for the next eight minutes or so.

It really picks up going forward and starts getting really interesting by the end. Masada gets a two count off a legdrop, and then nails a Skull****a Buster but Aries still kicks out at 2! Aries also gets his share of offense and eventually nails a Death Valley Driver but Masada kicks out at two and a half! We see a lot of action from there and Masada eventually fights back and gets the upper hand. He goes top rope when…

Homicide’s music hits and he comes down the ramp, distracting Masada. Aries makes the most out of this opening and kicks the ropes, dropping Masada hard on the top turnbuckle. Aries nails a bulldog off the top rope and locks Masada in the Last Chance-Arie for the win!!!

Result: Austin Aries defeated Masada © in 15:57 by submission with a Last Chance-Arie. Austin Aries wins the TNA X Division title.

After the match, Aries celebrates while Homicide is laughing from the stage. Masada recovers in the ring and stares down Homicide, looking utterly frustrated.

Triple Threat No Disqualifications Match

This one starts with EC3 and Lashley teaming up against Hardy. After some double teaming, Hardy somehow tosses EC3 to the floor and nails Lashley with a dropkick for a 2 count. They come back for more double teaming and eventually nail Hardy with a double suplex. This doesn’t last long as EC3 accidentally hits Lashley with a steel chair. Lashley recovers and tosses EC3 to the floor.

We see back and forth action from there and EC3 eventually grabs a table and slides it to the ring. Hardy goes to nail Lashley with a Twist of Fate through the table but EC3 jabs his ribs with the chair. Lashley bodyslams Hardy on the table but it doesn’t break, so EC3 elbows Hardy through it. EC3 grabs a chair to celebrate but Lashley sees him and wonders what his intentions are. EC3 tries to beg off but then double crosses Lashley and nails him with the chair.

Hardy has recovered and goes at it with EC3. Lashley also recovers and they slug it out from there. Hardy comes out on top and nails EC3 with a dropkick. Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on Lashley and another one on EC3 as he’s standing up.

Dirty Heels run down to ringside and distract Hardy so he doesn’t pin EC3. Hardy and Lashley go at it and this allows EC3 to recover. EC3 hits a low on Hardy and Lashley nails him with a huge Spear! Bobby Roode pulls Lashley out to the floor and nails him with a Roode Bomb, allowing EC3 to steal the pin and the victory in the ring!

Result: Ethan Carter III defeated Matt Hardy and Bobby Lashley in 20:34 when Ethan Carter III defeated Matt Hardy by pinfall with a Spear from Bobby Lashley. Ethan Carter III makes defence number 2 of the TNA World Heavyweight title.

After the match, the Main Event Mafia celebrates in the ring. It’s a great day for them as they indeed walk out with two championships, although they didn’t accomplish their third feat of beating TNA’s top babyface as they said earlier tonight.

Foley: Look at you, such a happy team, with two championship belts. Besides Bobby losing, looks like this really WAS your night. [Roode didn’t look too impressed with Foley’s statement] So I came out here to give you guys a chance to keep this momentum going. You see, we’ve been recently seeing a lot of video packages and promotions about the return of the Charismatic Enigma. Well, this Wednesday on Impact, we will have a Hardy Boys reunion, and they will team up with AJ Styles to take on the Main Event Mafia in a 6-man tag team match.
