(After the usual music video Wrestlepalooza is ready to kick off, but we aren't welcome by Cyrus and Joey Styles in the ring tonight. Instead both men are starting tonight in the commentary area, focusing on the two men already in the middle of the ring. "The Boss" and "The Man Beast.")

(With his usual grin Shane welcomes the ECW Mutants to Wrestlepalooza, and goes right off to promoting his top guy, his Undisputed Champion as he says that Shane Douglas has no idea what he's talking about, since his start in ECW Rhino has never been anything but "The Man Beast", and tonight Douglas, his pals, and the poor sap answering the Open Challenge Series Finale all get living proof in the form of a GORE!)

(With that being said, Shane calls for the final challenger to come on out and face "The Big F*****g Deal" so that Wrestlepalooza doesn't end with an asskicking, it starts with one!)

(All Shane gets in return is a few seconds of silence, nobody seeming to want to take on Rhino tonight, leading to a smug McMahon laughing in the ring. But silence turns in screams and cheers as a

brings more than just life to the Blue Cross Arena...)

http://i.imgur.com/2b89UnM.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/TRLfSrO.jpg

...it brings these two, looking more pumped up than anyone has ever seen, the horde of New York Mutants singing along to Kilgore's "Walk" as "The Whole F*****g Show" and Bill Alfonso walk to the ring, staring down the Champion/Manager duo already in the middle of it. With a leap Rob jumps onto the apron and looks Rhino straight in the eyes, keeping contact as leads the crowd in reminding the world who the hell he is through his signature taunt.)

Rhino w/Shane McMahon vs Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso

For a man whose been gone for a month Rob Van Dam came into this match full of fire, doing what few men can and taking control of the Undisputed Champion with a fast paced assault, Rhino barely able to stand for even a second against RVD! With everything goes his way Rob makes his way to the kill, hitting the Rolling Thunder on a grounded Rhino, making sure to keep him down before capping it off with the Coup de Grâce (Split Legged Moonsault) from the top rope! Rob isn't done there, he wants his return to be great, he wants it to be five stars, and with a jump from the top rope he gets it in the middle of the ring the Five Star Frog Splash! In such a fast barrage Rob has the champion pinn-KICK OUT AT TWO! Rhino is still alive, and just like on Wednesday Night he is roaring!

It's a two man show as Rhino fights back with Rob trying to maintain control against the intensity of the Undisputed Champion trying to remain just that, Undisputed. On the outside his manager shared his goal, and with a grab of a chair from under the ring it was clear he was willing to do anything to achieve it. Bill Alfonso got right in Shane's face, blowing his whistle and telling him off the way only Bill can to try to stop the interference, but in the end it wasn't Bill who stopped Shane as a hooded man jumped over the barricade behind the ECW Owner, ripping the chair from Shane's grasp before smashing it on his skull!

Both commentary and the men in ring stop as they see the ECW Owner go down in a broken, bleeding heap, wondering who the hell just dared to touch "The Boss." But they didn't have to wait long for an answer as the man pulled his hood down, showing a face many weren't ever expecting to see again!

http://i.imgur.com/8SwLwN5.jpg

"What the hell is he doing here?! He got fired weeks ago!"

"Isn't it obvious? He wants payback, and he sure as hell got it!"

Rhino wasn't expecting to see Jerry again either, but unlike the crowd Rhino starts yelling, throwing every insult possible at Lynn for assaulting Shane and daring to come back to "his" ECW." But before he could get any further Rob grabs him behind and brings him back, getting a surprise roll-up on the champion! The crowd is cheering, they want to see their guy with gold again, to see Shane McMahon's Standard bleed just like he is on the arena floor!

1!

2!

3!

Rob is a two-time ECW World Television Champion, but he and Bill Alfonso don't get to celebrate as Rhino snaps out of his shock at the pin with The Standard hitting the ring, guns blazing to get some payback! But too little too late as RVD and Fonzy as well as the rouge Jerry Lynn rush to safer ground through the crowd as they celebrate the first crack into the armor of The Standard!

(Backstage it's the unusual trio of Christopher Daniels, Amish Roadkill and Danny Doring getting ready for their first match since Danny began his "discipline training" with Daniels. Chris leads the promo by saying that tonight the world will see how effective the word of "The Fallen Angel" can be as Roadkill and Doring begin their rise to the top of the tag team division. An unnerved Danny followed up, saying that while he wasn't so sure on the "word" of anybody, he did improve his self control a bit more...mostly through pain but the point remains. Roadkill and Doring are back in business, and they're ready to prove it!)

Roadkill and Doring w/Christopher Daniels vs The Full Blooded Italians w/Sal E. Graziano

The F.B.I. have been doing their own things as of late, and while ECW hasn't seen as much of them as it'd like to the resident Italians are still a vicious threat, with tonight being no different. Guido and Mamaluke kicked it into high gear, wanting to make the most of this "rematch" from a few weeks ago and gain a second pin over the former champions. However Doring and Roadkill were like a well oiled machine, working with the same flow they had when they first became champions back in December. With both teams wanting to leave Rochester the winner, it was Doring and Roadkill that got themselves the victory, a Buggy Bang on Tony Mamaluke giving proof to Danny Doring's words...and maybe even Daniels' too as he gazes towards his celebrating team.

(Our view goes backstage where we're greeted by the chest of Dawn Marie as she fiddles around with the camera, giving a view no doubt appreciated by the viewers before she moves back and tells Simon and Swinger that it's ready.)

(With Swinger by his side and Dawn on his arm Simon tells the camera that it doesn't matter who he and Swinger choose, because in the end they're still going to leave Wrestlepalooza as the ECW World Tag Team Champions. So to make it interesting with such a predictable outcome, they're going to let Dawn Marie pick a name out of a hat!)

(With a bounce and cheer of excitement Dawn closes her eyes as Simon holds out an official ECW baseball cap, exaggerating her "search" for a few seconds before pulling out a piece of paper and showing it to the camera and reading it aloud.)

Kid Kash and Super Crazy vs Hot Commodity w/Elektra

It's another "rematch" from the past as EZ Money wants back the win he feels Hot Commodity deserves, and this time he's leading the charge with "The Future" by his side. For a while though that exact pairing is why they were behind, Kid Kash and Super Crazy being a much more experienced tag team than Kaz and Money could expect or hope to be in just two weeks of teaming together. For the first half of the match it was all Crazy and Kash with their speed and experience keeping them one step ahead as they stayed on the cocky duo.

But Money taught Frankie well as the kid constantly has his boss' back, high flying heroics as he stops near fall after near fall, somehow even keeping up with Super Crazy, landing a Moonsault on the luchador. It's Elektra that gets the biggest credit, as a shake of the ropes brings Kid Kash groin first on the turnbuckle. With Kash stunned Kaz moves fast, jumping to the top and grabbing on before performing the Flux Capacitor (Rolling Moonsault Side Slam) from the top rope, cashing out the K.I.D. and gaining Hot Commodity the W.I.N!

(We head backstage, but instead of the already planned promo by Nova and The Blue Boy we arrive in the middle of a bigger discussion as the entire Unholy Alliance is with them, The Sinister Minister addressing the blue duo, taking a glance at the camera before shrugging and continuing on.)

Minister: Look, instead of a fluffy promo about how good a team you two are why don't we make things somewhat interesting? I want to bring my boys to the top of the tag team division, and for me that requires taking down every single team in our way, including you two. Meanwhile you want to prove you deserve to be mentioned as a top tier tag team in ECW, but to do that you'd need to...I don't know...beat former ECW World Tag Team Champions?

Nova: Get to the point Mitchell.

Minister: Fine. The Unholy Alliance is officially challenging your team to a match on the next episode of Revolution TV, your determination for respect against our hunger for the gold. For no other reason than us wanting to have some good, violent competition. What do you say boys? A victory over us certainly could get you somewhere much higher in the title hunt...

(Nova seems hesitant in response with no trust for the Minister, but Blue answers with a sudden yes, telling the Alliance to bring everything they've got next Wednesday. The Minister assures Blue he'll get what he wants and more before leaving with his group, a sinister grin on his face as they leave a smug looking Blue Boy and a disapproving Nova.)

Julio Dinero vs Chris Hamrick

After weeks of anger this feud finally came to a head, with one goal in the minds of both Julio Dinero and Chris Hamrick, kick the other man's head off his shoulders! Julio took that idea to heart, immediately trying to start the match with a Jalapeno Popper, but Hamrick dodges it just in time and gives a kick of his own, missing but definitely setting the tone of the match as a kickfest! Ten minutes in and they've begun sudden death, focusing on nothing but kicking, dodging, and countering. But for all Hamrick's efforts it's Julio Dinero that wins that duel, a dead center Jalapeno Popper smacking Hamrick's jaw and putting him down for the count.

(We head backstage into the office of Shane McMahon where The Standard sans Cyrus are gathered, an oddly still Rhino standing behind a bandaged Shane McMahon. Shane channels anger only the son of Vince McMahon could have as he rants about Jerry Lynn's assault, suggesting that Jerry's involvement was planned by RVD and Bill Alfonso to steal the ECW World Television Championship from Rhino! But he stops there saying that it's an investigation for after tonight, because all that example of rebellion did was create a more determined Standard.)

(Rhino is next, almost seeming calm if it wasn't for his heavy breathing and the look of rage in his eyes. He goes on to thank Rob and Jerry Lynn, because through their actions he is more hellbent than before on leaving Shane Douglas as a broken, bleeding carcass. He warns them that when "The Franchise" dies in the middle of that ring, they have only themselves to blame, because they unleashed a new level of anger, a new level of hatred for "The Man Beast." And sooner or later...title or no title, he'll go after them and pay them back with their own blood and broken bones.)

(Monty Brown steps forward next, hyping his match with The Sandman later on in the night, telling the "Hardcore Icon" that if there's a lesson for anyone to learn tonight it's going to be him. Because the "Motor City Predator" is going to teach The Sandman what happens to old ass, broken pieces of garbage when they f**k with The Standard, and more specifically, then they f**k with Monty Brown.)

Simon and Swinger w/Dawn Marie vs York and Matthews w/Joel Gertner

This was the biggest chance for York and Matthews as of yet and they sure made the most of it, turning the cocky smiles of the tag team champions into worried frowns within the first few minutes of the bout. With Gertner giving them tips and pointers from ringside it looked like York and Matthews might actually have the champions number as they did some high speed tag team moves, wearing down Simon and Swinger. But Dawn Marie shows she's more than just a pretty face, as she stops the young duo with a chair shot to the back of Joey Matthews, sending him crashing to the mat from on top of a turnbuckle. From there it's academic for Simon and Swinger as they keep the action on the mat, leading to the end of another title defense with the Problem Solver on Matthews.

(We go backstage where our cameraman is walking through the Blue Cross Arena with The Sandman as he talks about his match coming up next. With his usual gruff apathy The Sandman says that he isn't going to make education related jokes with threats. He just has one thing to say to Monty Brown, bring a weapon of choice and hold onto it tight, otherwise the "Hardcore Icon" is going to smash it on his skull to match the cane marks that are soon to come.)

The Sandman vs Monty Brown

With a steel chair in hand it's clear that Monty heard The Sandman's pre-match words, the "Predator" of ECW charging into the ring, not wanting to wait anymore. All that start does however, is play right into The Sandman's hands as the hardcore veteran takes control, knowing all too well on how to use weapons as a style, and not just an impact for damage. But this is Monty's showcase match, and he sure as hell knows it as he goes to a primal place in his mind and roars through every smack of the cane The Sandman gives. Swing after swing causes Monty to slowly rise up until he's face to face with The Sandman, roaring in his face, getting spat in his own face in return.

With fury not unlike his tag team partner Monty loses it, nearly bringing The Sandman down with a powerful kick to the gut before lifting him over his shoulder and slamming him down on Monty's steel chair with a move Cyrus calls the Predation! (Over-the-shoulder Swinging Side Slam) But once is not enough as Monty gives Sandman a second feel of the Predation, but a third attempt is one too many as Sandman counters mid-swing and turning it into a DDT on the steel! But once more Monty gets up with intensity, this time landing his third Predation!

It's all Monty now as he tosses The Sandman around, but after a few nearfalls it's clear that Monty needs more than power, he needs a proper impact. That said it's no surprise when he go outside and returns with a table, setting it up in the middle of the ring with the steel chair right on top of it. But the surprise comes in what comes next as Monty climbs to the top rope with The Sandman over his shoulder, ready to end things with a final Predation!

But the Sandman counters again with quick knees to the gut of Monty! Over and over he struggles to get out of the iron grip, his freedom giving one last shot that he takes advantage, using strength from outta nowhere to swing his legs up and wrap them around Monty's neck! Heinekenrana (Super Hurricanrana) from the top rope and straight through the chair and table, from the deepest parts of the "Hardcore Icon's" arsenal came the final surprise! With no energy to even limp anymore The Sandman throws his body over Brown's, visibly shaking until he and the crowd hear the call of three!

Winner: The Sandman

Victory Method and Time: Pinfall at 14:15

Grade: D+ (47)

(Much like with The Sandman earlier one of our cameras is keeping up with Paul Heyman and Shane Douglas as they make their way through the Blue Cross Arena, getting their final words before not just the main event, but Shane Douglas' return to wrestling in an ECW ring, on PPV.)

Heyman: One down, and five more to go McMahon! Six actually if we include you, and after some of the garbage you've pulled there are a lot of people who want to include you on the hit list. But we're not stupid to think that winning tonight means we've got you and your Standard beat, but it's a damn fine step forward! Especially when you and your top guy both have to go home knowing that you lost all that mattered to you.

Douglas: Meanwhile we gain everything that truly matters in this company. The Championships, the glory, the moment of being Extreme! Officially you can call tonight ECW's Spring Cleaning, because we start to chip away at the toxin that's been slowly infecting the heart and soul of what I started seven years ago! So Rhino, bring that anger to the ring, bring that hatred, that killing instinct, because you're going to need it to stop me from taking back my revolution and leading it as the five-time ECW Heavyweight Champion...of the World!

(Both teams get their own time to line up here, with both groups choosing their side of the ring, weapons of all sort of variety in their hands for their respective guy to use. As the seconds go by the crowd can feel the tension rising as both sides trade insults, but before a brawl can begin the theme of the World Heavyweight Champion echoes in the Blue Cross Arena. It's time.)

Rhino shot right out of the gate for this one, barely waiting for the bell to ring before going right for the GORE!, but Douglas showed his experience, dodging the charge and using Rhino's own momentum against him, sending him outside...and in front of Team Douglas. Right away the match stipulation came into effect as Justin Credible and Steve Corino got some revenge from their losses, getting a cane shot each on the back of the champion as he struggled to get back in the ring. But once back inside Rhino didn't find safety, just a sudden Belly-to-Belly Suplex that sent him crashing into the middle of the ring, courtesy of "The Franchise." With the ball in his court Douglas went on a wrestling lesson, putting Rhino through a list of moves, almost putting a show for the audience by taunting in between moves.

Thankfully for Rhino a small respite came with him rolling out the ring onto his side, John Cena discreetly handing a chair to the champion while Douglas showboated into the ring. With a nod to his group Rhino rolled back in, but Shane was ready, kicking Rhino in the gut and preparing for an end via the Pittsburgh Plunge, but Rhino overpowered Shane and did the lifting, bringing the challenger right on his shoulders with a roar before bring Douglas down onto the steel chair with a Death Valley Driver! From there it was all Rhino, the "Man Beast" unleashing hell on Douglas with that steel chair, not only slamming him on it with power move after power move, but also swinging it across the skull of Shane every time he tried to get up on his own, the challenger soon becoming a bloody mess.

With a "F**k You!" to Shane's team Rhino brought his victim to his feet, calling for his team to bring a table into the ring before grinning at the mess he's made of Douglas, but "The Franchise" shows signs of life with a second sudden Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Sensing a comeback for their man Team Douglas toss in a table of their own, no doubt giving Shane ideas as he hurries through the pain, setting up both tables right in front of one of the turnbuckles. But after a look at his setup the challenger still wasn't satisfied, nodding to Tommy Dreamer, the "Innovator of Violence" understanding exactly what Douglas wanted and moved quick to bring it to him. A ladder.

With his time trickling away Shane brought the ladder in the position he wanted it before rolling the champion onto both tables, picking up the steel chair before beginning his ascension. His climb became a shared one however, as halfway up the ladder Rhino was back up, and followed Shane to greater heights, meeting the four-time World Champion at the top of the ladder, their teams standing on their respective aprons. With insults and cheers surrounding them the men traded blows with one hand, both of them having the other on the steel chair to prevent use from either of them. But with a well aimed shot to the jaw Douglas got the weapon free and began to bring it up, only to have it smashed into his face thanks to a Rhino headbutt!

Dazed but still hanging on Shane gives his last piece of great effort, smashing Rhino's smug grin into nothing with a last swing of the steel chair, the now bent tool falling to the ground with it's purpose complete. Out of their right minds and angry all both men could do was hang on as they tried to regain their bearings at the top of the ladder. With a final glance and a final shared yell of anger they traded a cracking headbutt, the blow this time causing them to let go and crash through the double tables together!

At the moment of impact both teams rushed into the ring, each checking on their respective man, but tensions skyrocketed as they started arguing over the still bodies of champion and challenger. Referee Jim Molinaeux tried his best to defuse the situation and get all eight men back to their sides, but nothing could stop them as they broke out into a massive brawl in the ring! With nothing left for him to do Molinaeux called for the bell, the match now completely out of his hands as he tried to keep the brawl away from the broken competitors in the middle.

(As the chaos continued Shane McMahon ran down to the ring, shouting at the top of his lungs for all of the men to stop their fighting, but even with "The Boss" giving the orders nobody was stopping. But to his credit Shane at least got them to fight outside of the ring, however all that brought was brawling in the middle of the crowd. With the crowd cheering Shane kept trying to give orders and gain control, yelling instructions to security through a mic from the timekeeper's table...not noticing that what the crowd was really cheering for was a slowly rising Shane Douglas.)

(Little by little Douglas rose, seeming to only register Shane after fully standing up, a grin on his face as he limped towards the unsuspecting McMahon, the man now ordering the production team to just shut the Pay Per View before the audience at home could see too much of the chaos. But just before "The Franchise" was upon Shane a roar came behind them both. With what could only be instincts screaming at him, Shane Douglas threw himself to the side, but Shane McMahon wasn't as fortunate as a bleeding Rhino GORED! right through the ECW Owner.)

(The effect was immediate, the crowd, the fighting wrestlers, and even the commentary (sans a panicking Cyrus) came to a stop to see the latest piece of carnage. The production crew finally obeying McMahon's last order and bringing Wrestlepalooza to a sudden close, the final shot before blackout being the shocked look on Rhino's face at what he had just done.)

Wrestlepalooza was a night where the term "Grudge Match" was the theme, but the biggest grudge in the Land of Extreme has just gotten hotter as The Standard went home broken, courtesy of some of ECW's greatest! With there having been no word from The Standard since the PPV, former ECW Owner Paul Heyman has taken it upon himself to be in charge for one night only! With Paul Heyman at the helm anything can happen, but whether that's good or bad for ECW is entirely up for debate!

The new ECW World Television Champion heads right to work as Rob Van Dam not only takes on "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels in a non-title match, he addresses the ECW Mutants on what happened at Wrestlepalooza. The tag team division is also on display as the Unholy Alliance takes on The Blue Boy and Nova in a showcase that's got pride (and championship possibilities) on the line! Frankie Kazarian also continues his own momentum for Hot Commodity as "The Future" takes on another young gun in Michael Shane!

Overall Comments: Especially loving Rhino's time on the top of the mountain. My favorite ECW guy, right up there with RVD. Kazarian will need a push, haha, he's awesome. He really is. Everything about this is shaping up niceless, I love the diversity in the tag division. And the undercard pulling their weight. :D

Awesome show!

RVD! RVD! RVD!

Shame the FBI lost, but everything else was very very nice. :D Like the main event finish too, changes it up a bit.

I'm glad you enjoyed the return of RVD, I'm actually surprised nobody predicted him because I though having Jerry Lynn open was too obvious. Same goes with the main event being a draw actually, I felt like it would be too soon for either man to get a win over the other without huge shenanigans.

ECW World Heavyweight Championship

Shane Douglas vs Rhino ©

Comments: Fun Fact: Shane Douglas - worst finisher ever

I agree 100%, which is why I will never write "The Franchiser" as Shane's finishing move, the Pittsburgh Plunge is much nicer looking.

Hot Commodity w/Elektra vs Kid Kash and Super Crazy

Comments: I am 50/50 on this. I might be blinded by my hope for a Frankie push.

I'm pretty sure nearly everyone predicting is waiting for me to pull the trigger on Frankie sooner or later.

Comments: I'm thinking some miscommunication from the Blue Boy and Nova costs them; they'll still get a shot though

Comments: That's HBK's Cousin, Michael Shane

Overall Comments on RTV/Wrestlepalooza: Interesting to see you so behind Hot Commodity judging by Wrestlepalooza. But, if they don't get those grades up, it might be a good idea to just put all of your weight on Kaz

I would guess Hot Commodity are all at about the D or D+ range in pop right now? So they are likely moving into midcard status except for Kaz, who will be there soon. Good show, Rhino done messed up now! Gotta believe that after he lost the title to Rob (good call on that, too - I had thought of him, but felt Jerry would have gotten the nod) and then not only doesn't he defeat Shane but he Gores the other Shane through a table! I'll be looking forward to what everyone does on the next show.

RVD - Rob is back, and he's big man on campus all over again. RE! SPECT! WALK!

Unholy Alliance - Blue costs his buddy the match, and the Alliance move a step closer to Simon and Swinger.

Frankie Kaz - Because he's one Hot Commodity.

Comments: This one is tough, as they were one of my favourite tag teams of early TNA. But think Frankie has more to give than HBKs cousin.
