CZCW Surf Slam

15,000 Fans in Attendance

Cliff:
Hello and welcome to Surf Slam! We're here in the Coastal Zone, and we have a great night of action and excitement ahead of us.

Doc:
We've got grudge matches, dream matches, and all three titles will be on the line tonight! It's going to be a good one!

Cliff:
That's right, but first off we have a grudge match that has been six months in the making! Marksman won the right to name the stipulation, so we can only wait and see what he has to say.

Marksman vs Matt Sparrow

????? Grudge Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kirk%20Jameson_altCamoflague_zpsz0yatgnf.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Matt%20Sparrow_T4_alt1_zpsy3amr9mv.jpg

  • Matt Sparrow comes out to almost unanimous boos, something of an accomplishment given the tendency of CZCW fans to not really care about face or heel when picking who to cheer. He is alone tonight, with Air Attack Weasel nowhere to be seen.

  • Marksman is out next to a much more positive reaction. Circling the ring he speaks to ring announcer Hailey Booke before entering the ring. Booke enters the ring with a microphone to announce the match stipulation.

The following contest is set for one fall, and is a lumberjack match!

  • Virtually every lower card wrestler not booked in a match come out and surround ringside as Matt Sparrow looks less then thrilled. The announcers put over the idea that with lumberjacks surrounding the ring Sparrow won't have anywhere to run.

  • Sparrow tries to goad Marksman into making a mistake and losing his cool, but Marksman remains cool and controls the match with his technical skills, outclassing Sparrow on the mat.

  • His first plan failing, Sparrow falls back on more traditional methods of cheating to win with a thumb to the eye that allows him to take over.

  • Sparrows cheating wouldn't be enough however, and after 15 more minutes of back and forth action Marksman is back in control and goes for the Bullseye (Sit-Out Double Underhook Facebuster) but Sparrow slips out and bails to the outside.

  • Unfortunately for Sparrow the lumberjacks are having none of it and unceremoniously throw him back into the ring into the waiting arms of Marksman who locks in the Kirk-Hold (Elevated Leg Lock) and drags Sparrow to the center of the ring.

  • With nowhere to go Sparrow taps furiously. Marksman keeps the hold on for a few seconds, but eventually relents and lets go at the referees insistence.

Marksman defeats Matt Sparrow via Submission in 20:12 (B)

Cliff:
Matt Sparrow finally gets what's coming to him for trying to end Marksman's career three months ago!

Doc:
Marksman should be arrested for keeping that hold on! Sparrow is a changed man, he didn't deserve that!

Cliff:
However you want to call it this was the biggest singles win of Marksman's career so far. With one match down we're moving to our next match, the winner of which will be the number one contenders to the tag team titles.

Rich & Famous vs Samoan Destruction Inc.

Tag Team Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jackpot%20Jordan_zpsfkkrxu35.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jake%20Idol_zpsgxwfnres.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Rhino%20Umaga_zpsswte1hh7.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Samoan%20Machine_zps0d5lzajg.jpg

  • This looked like somewhat of a mismatch at first as Samoan Demolition ran wild on Rich and Famous, using their size and power to throw their opponents around.

  • Eventually Rich and Famous are able to get back into it through frequent tags and isolating Samoan Machine, their smaller opponent in their corner.

  • Rich and Famous get the heat and don't hesitate to taunt their opponents, but jawing with a Samoan proves to be a poor decision as Samoan Machine delivers a vicious headbutt to Jake Idol that levels the big man and buys time for the hot tag.

  • Rhino Umaga comes in a house of fire and immediately hurls Jackpot Jordan across the ring with a huge belly to belly suplex.

  • Umaga sets up for the Rhino charge, but Jake Idol grabs his ankle from the outside and buys time for Jackpot Jordan to hit a superkick.

  • Samoan Machine takes out Idol on the outside while Jackpot Jordan rushed to capitalize by going up to the top rope, but Umaga has recovered and as Jordan leaps off he is hit full force in mid-air with a devastating Rhino Charge!

  • The crowds going wild, and Umaga shoves a hand on his chest to get the academic cover and end the match in dominant fashion.

Rhino Umage and Samoan Machine defeated Jackpot Jordan and Jake Idol via Pinfall in 13:12 (B-)

Doc:
What a display of force by Samoan Destruction Inc. The tag team division has to be on notice after a performance like that.

Cliff:
You're right about that Doc; whether it's 2Fly or the American Cobras who walk out the champions tonight they've got a huge task in front of them with Samoan Destruction. The tag team title is later on, but up next we have what promises to be a fantastic technical match-up between Buddy Garner and Oleg Dorokslov. However before that we're going to go back to the locker room where the A-List are preparing for their own matches later on tonight.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Darryl%20Devine_zpsmy0erkvt.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Huey%20Cannonball_zpskcjmjrjw.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elmo%20Benson_alt1_zps7emdc9wq.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Stevie%20Grayson_alt2_zps3cva40mp.jpg

The camera cuts back to the locker room area where the A-List are assembled; Darry Devine standing in front of Cannonball, Benson and Grayson who are seated.

Being a member of the A-List means your the best, that night in and night out you get the job done. The main event of tonight's show should have been Darryl Devine vs Frankie Perez for the Coastal Zone Championship, but instead it's Sammy Bach because you three couldn't get the job done.

Devine paces back and forth, clearly still upset about losing out on his title rematch.

Tonight we have a chance for redemption. There is no room in the A-List for weakness, and I expect each one of you to do your part and get a victory tonight. Understand?

Devine begins to walk away, but pauses for a moment in front of Stevie Grayson.

Get the job done.

Devine walks away with the camera focusing on Stevie who doesn't seem particularly thrilled with Devine's "pep-talk."

Buddy Garner vs Oleg Dorokslov

Singles Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Buddy%20Garner_zpswrgos7hv.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Oleg%20Dorosklov_zps6ndcrdqx.jpg

  • Fans of mat wrestling were in heaven for this match as two of the best in the world traded hold and counter hold on the mat for the better part of 15 minutes.

  • The match was a stalemate for the most part, but as the match progressed it seemed the Raw Athleticism of the younger Dorokslov was beginning to be too much for Garner.

  • Oleg was finally able to outmaneuver Garner and hook in the cross armlock, Garner was grasping with his other hand to prevent Dorokslov, but Oleg cranks back and breaks it to extend pressure.

  • As Oleg pulls back on the arm Garner rolls Oleg onto his back and the referee counts the three!

Buddy Garner defeats Oleg Dorokslov via Pinfall in 14:47 ©

The bell rings, but Dorokslov seems unaware that he has lost the match and continues cranking on the hold despite the referee's protests; only releasing after Garner furiously taps in submission. Afterwords Dorokslov gets into the argument with the referee, only backing down once a host of officials come down to separate them and check on the injured Garner who is clutching his arm.

Doc:
Garner may have gotten the win, but Dorokslov's the one who's going to be walking out of here under his own power.

Cliff:
Oleg Dorokslov is a fantastic athlete and phenomenal wrestler, but you can't just ignore the referees instructions. We have rules for a reason; it's his fault that he got outwitted by Garner and lost the match.

Doc:
It was heat of the moment! He's still adjusting to CZCW, in the Ukraine they don't stop matches until someone gives up.

Cliff:
Well no matter how you look at it the records will show that Buddy Garner got the win. Up next we've got a tag team match between the A-List and Going Coastal; not the first time these teams have met in competition. These two teams met at CZCW Revolution back in January where Going Coastal, the champions at the time, were able to successfully defend their tag team titles.

Doc:
There is no use dwelling in the past Cliff. It's a different A-List we're going to see here tonight, didn't you listen to Devine's speech?

Cliff:
No point in debating it here Doc, we'll find out in just a few moments!

Going Coastal vs The A-List

Tag Team Challenge

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/California%20Love%20Machine_zpslbq9ttan.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Frankie-Boy%20Fernandes_T4_alt5_zps67ehj98a.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Huey%20Cannonball_zpskcjmjrjw.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elmo%20Benson_alt1_zps7emdc9wq.jpg

  • This was fast and furious action as only CZCW can provide as one of CZCW's best tag teams went up against two of the companies top singles stars.

  • Whether due to Devine's motication speech (as Doc suggested) or simply due to their great talent the A-List were working together smoothly tonight and in fine form.

  • For their part Going Coastal seemed unusually off their game as a team, with missed tags and poor teamwork costing them at several points in the match.

  • The finish saw California Love Machine going up top for the LAX Departure (Shooting Star Legdrop) on Sammy Bach, but getting crotched on the ropes by Huey Cannonball.

  • Cannonball pulls CLM down and sets him up for the Cannonball Run, but gets cut off by Fernandes who nails him with a beautiful dropkick as Cannonball is running towards the corner.

  • Fernandes has no time to capitalize as Benson whips him into CLM in the corner. The two partners collide, and Benson nails the reeling Fernandes with a Shockwave from Next Year (Running Enzuigiri) before covering him for a three count.

Huey Cannonball and Benson Crane defeat California Love Machine & Francesco Fernandes via Pinfall in 23:10 (B)

Cliff:
The A-List pick up a huge victory over the former tag team champions,

Doc:
Just like I told you, if Darryl Devine hadn't set out to be the world's greatest wrestler he could be the world's greatest motivational speaker.

Cliff:
They picked up a big win here, but the A-List have two more matches tonight. Up next, however, is the first of our 3 championship matches tonight as Elliot Thomas holds his open challenge for the Xtreme Championship!

Elliot Thomas vs ?????

Xtreme Championship Open Challenge

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Alumni%20and%20Loaned%20Wrestlers/Eisaku%20Kunomasu_zpskmilxzsb.jpg

  • The mystery opponent is revealed as none other then "The Lord of Strong Style" Eisaku Kunomasu who gets a big reaction from the crowd thanks to his run in DAVE.

  • Thomas offers a handshake, but Kunomasu slaps the hand away and exchanges words with the Xtreme champion.

  • Thomas gets a brief flurry of offence in the opening of the match, but Kunomasu cuts him off with shots to his injured ribs and takes control, grounding the high flyer and showing off his tremendous mat wrestling.

  • Thomas eventually is able to make a comeback after a Enzuigiri and a DDT, but Kunomasu gets his knees up on a Quiet Down (Double Jump DDT). Thomas is rolling in pain clutching his injured ribs and Kunomasu capitalizes; locking him into the Kunomasu Vice.

  • Thomas holds off for a few seconds, but is unable to break free and forced to tap out.

Eisaku Kunomasu defeated Elliot Thomas via submission in 16:32 to win the Xtreme Championship. ©

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Alumni%20and%20Loaned%20Wrestlers/Eisaku%20Kunomasu_zpskmilxzsb.jpg

There are chants of Lord of Strong Style as the PGHW holds his championship belt in the ring. Kunomasu says something to the referee, who goes to ringside to grab a microphone and brings it to the new champion.

CZCW, I came here because even in Japan people talk of your rise to glory. There are some who compare it to the rise of Pride Glory Honour Wrestling in Japan, the rise of strong style.

The crowd cheers Kunomasu putting over their company, and in what may be a first for a US promotion chants of PGHW break out.

But I see now they were mistaken. You allowed this young-boy to be your champion? Disgraceful. If this is the best CZCW has to offer then you are nothing more then pretenders to the throne.

This gets a much more mixed reaction; though a segment of the crowd seems to still be behind the veteran.

Now that I hold this title I will show you what being a champion is about, what Strong Style is about!

Kunomasu hands the microphone back to the official and then walks back to the entry way, championship belt hoisted on his shoulder.

Cliff:
Eisaku Kunomasu may be our new champion, but I can't agree with what he said right there. Elliot Thomas was a great fighting champion, he deserves respect.

Doc:
And who're you to question the Lord of Strong Style Cliff? You're talking about a legend who's been wrestling over 25 years. I think it's great he's our new champion.

Cliff:
I would never disrespect all he's accomplished, but he needs to remember he's in CZCW not PGHW. There's a lot of men in the locker room who will be gunning for his title. Either way folks we've got five more great matches coming up after our 15 minute intermission, so stay tuned!

To Be Continued in Part 2.

Cliff:
Hello and welcome back to CZCW Surf Slam! We're half way through, but we've still got five great matches left so lets run down the card.

Singles Match

Darryl Devine vs Fumihira Ota

Singles Match

Joshua Taylor vs Stephen Grayson

Tag Team Championship Match

2Fly © vs The American Cobras

DAVE Rules Match

Acid vs Toxin

Coastal Zone Championship Match

Frankie Perez © vs Sammy Bach

Cliff:
Now without further ado, let's get on with the show!

Darryl Devine vs Fumihira Ota

Grudge Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Darryl%20Devine_zpsmy0erkvt.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Fumihiro%20Ota_alt2_zpscpufmtuj.jpg

  • Darryl Devine is deadset on getting revenge on Ota, who is 3-0 against the A-List since interrupting them over a month ago, but his aggression seem to play into the veterans hand as Ota ducks and dodges Devine's strikes.

  • Devine eventually bails to the outside. Ota goes for a dive, but Devine sees it coming and meets him in the ropes with an elbow.

  • The match is a very back and forth for twenty minutes with Ota hitting a
    Ninja Strike
(Enzuigiri) only for Darryl to grab the ropes, and a few minutes later Devine hitting the
    Devine Dream Drop
(modified face crusher) only for Ota to somehow get his shoulder up at 2.9.

  • Devine seems in disbelief that Ota kicked out, arguing with the referee for a moment before rolling outside the ring and grabbing a steel chair from ringside. He seems to have second thoughts, and as he's distracted Ota flies through the ropes and wipes him out with a suicide dive!

  • Darryl is out of it as Ota drags him back to the apron and rolls him into the ring. Ota climbs to the top rope and signals to the crowd, waiting as Devine stumbles to the feet.

  • Ota leaps into the air as Devine stumbles around in a cross body! 1...2...Devine kicks out and rolls over, grabbing Ota and hoisting him above his head!
    Devine Dream Drop
! The fans pop for the spot as the referee counts the pin to give Devine the win.

Darryl Devine defeats Fumihira Ota via Pinfall in 22:12 (B)

Doc:
He did it! I told you Cliff!

Cliff:
Huge victory for Devine, Ota took him to the limit but he fought through and got the victory.

Doc:
Whoever wins in the main event better watch out for Devine, because after tonight's performance he deserves a shot at the championship.

Cliff:
That's true Doc, but he's not the only one gunning for a shot at the title. Joshua Taylor and Stephen Grayson are up next and whoever wins that match would have a pretty good claim to the title shot themselves. Let's get to it!

Joshua Taylor vs Stephen Grayson

Challenge Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Joshua%20Taylor_zpsc7rosqie.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Stevie%20Grayson_alt2_zps3cva40mp.jpg

  • The match got off to a somewhat slow start as Grayson took a more methodical approach to start this off. Joshua Taylor for his part was in fine form, showing off his technical skills as he took control of the match.

  • Realizing his strategy was playing into Taylor's skill set and tried to up the pace, but Taylor didn't allow that to happen; grounding him and wearing him down.

  • While the fans had been firmly behind Taylor to start the match, the match was worked with Grayson playing the underdog high flyer and as the match went on many of the fans began rooting for Grayson.

  • Grayson showed great heart, refusing to give up or allow himself to be defeated in spite of the punishment Taylor unleashed upon him.

  • Grayson finally made his high flying comeback to cheers from the crowd as he flew around the ring, knocking Taylor to the outside and wiping him out with a plancha.

  • Grayson hit
    Shades of Grayson
(Moonsault) in the ring, but it wasn't quite enough as Taylor got his shoulder up at the last moment. Wanting to capitalize on his momentum, Grayson waited for Taylor to get to his feet and went for a superkick, but Taylor ducked under and locked in a sleeperhold.

  • Grayson began to fade, but had enough wherewithall to struggle to the corner, and kick off the corner; landing on top in pining position! The referee begins to count, but before he can get to three Taylor roles him over and locks in the
    Butterfly Lock!
Grayson fights it, but he has nothing left and eventually taps out to escape the pain.

Joshua Taylor defeated Stephen Grayson via submission in 26:12 (B)

Cliff:
Grayson gave it his all, but Taylor was just too good for him tonight and puts himself back in the title picture with a quality win.

Doc:
The A-List came so close to a sweep, but Grayson let them down. I can't imagine Devine's happy about that.

Cliff:
Grayson put up a tremendous fight. Losing to a competitor the quality of Taylor is nothing to be ashamed about regardless of what Devine says.

Doc:
I guess we'll have to wait until Thursday to hear more about that, but for now it looks like the next match is about to begin.

2Fly © vs The American Cobras

Tag Team Championship Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Amazing%20Fire%20Fly_zpsxuh55ze3.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Lenny%20Brown_zpsjeqnaku9.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Marvel%20Malloy_T4_alt1_zpsp6oblerx.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Storm%20Spillane_T4_alt1_zpsq3ygznj7.jpg

  • A fairly back and forth match with the Cobras playing the heel against the ultra popular champions.

  • The Cobras have been teaming for years, and used their experience edge to isolate the smaller Amazing Fire Fly.

  • Fire Fly is able to eventually make a hot tag to Brown who cleans house and nails Storm with the
    Star Treatment
(Fireman's Carry into a Lifting Face Crusher) but Marvel is there to break it up.

  • Marvel unloads with martial arts strikes on Brown, but Amazing Fire Fly is able to get the blind tag while Brown clotheslines Marvel out of the ring and brawl on the outside.

  • Amazing Fire Fly hits a series of hurricanranas and dropkicks on Storm before climbing to the top rope, but Storm shoves him off the apron and the duo hit the
    Cobra Strike
(Double Headkicks) to Amazing Fire Fly and cover him for the win!

Marvel and Storm defeated Amazing Fire Fly and Lenny Brown via Pinfall in 15:02 to win the Coastal Zone Tag Team Championships (C+)

The new champions are celebrating in the ring with the belts while the announcers go back to replays which show Storm hitting a blatant low blow on Lenny Brown on the outside before coming in to shove Fire Fly off the turnbuckle.

Cliff:
That should have been a DQ right there! 2Fly should be the champions!

Doc:
It's all legal if the referee doesn't see it Cliff. The first rule of warfare is winners right the history, and the records will show that tonight the American Cobras won the championship.

Cliff:
They may celebrate tonight, but as far as I'm concerned 2Fly are still the champions. I can't wait to hear what commissioner Dread has to say on this.

Doc:
I'm sure we'll hear from the big man on Thursday, but for now we've got a grudge match years in the making up next.

Cliff:
That's right, Acid is taking on his former protege Toxin in a DAVE rules match. I'm going to have to warn viewers with a sensitive disposition may want to turn away for now; this isn't what CZCW is about and we've got paramedics on standby for this match in particular.

Doc:
Violence, Carnage, and much more! I can't wait!

Acid vs Toxin

DAVE Rules Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid_alt2_zpsi41sfdlr.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid%20II_Toxin_zpsfcd7zicz.jpg

  • The match begins hot as Acid dives in the ring and immediately begins trading punches with Toxin; eventually spilling outside the ring.

  • Acid seems to be getting the better of the exchange, but Toxin finds a great equalizer in the form of the Ring Bell, clocking Acid in the head with it after being sent into the timekeepers area.

  • Acid comes up bleeding, and Toxin shows no mercy as he pinpoints the cut with strikes, further opening Acid up with blood streaming down his face.

  • Toxin rolls Acid into the ring and then begins acquiring weaponry from ringside, throwing a chair, a kendo stick, and a garbage can into the ring as chants of DAVE break out.

  • Acid struggles to his feet, blood dripping down his head and staining the canvas. Unfortunately Toxin is waiting, and smashes him across the face with the Kendo Stick as he turns around before repeatedly swinging it into his ex-mentor's back with shot after shot.

  • Acid collapses to the mat as Toxin before licking the blood from the Kendo stick, savoring the pain he's inflicted. This gets chants of "You Sick ****" from the fans as Toxin grabs Acid and pulls the Kendo stick across his throat, pulling it back to throttle him.

  • Acid is a bloody mess as the life is being choked out of him, but manages to reach out his fingers and grab the trash can lid before waffling Toxin with it to break the hold.

  • Acid staggers to his feet and slowly reaches down, grabbing the Kendo stick as the crowd chants his name. Toxin grabs the chair and goes for an overhead smash, but is caught in the midsection with a Kendo shot and doubled over.

  • Acid delivers shot after shot of hellacious vengeance on the man who robbed him of his mask. Finally satisfied he drops the cane and kneels by his prone opponent, delivering punches before grabbing at the mask, ripping it as Toxin fights desperately to keep it on; breaking free with a thumb to the eye.

  • Both men are down and crawling to their feet, Toxin is up first, grabbing the chair he waits for Acid to turn, but Acid ducks under before booting him in the guy and delivering a STO into the garbage can that crushes it beneath his wait and leaves Toxin lying in the rubble.

  • The crowd is going crazy, but suddenly Matt Sparrow's music hits and he emerges from the back, limping towards the ring. The commentators bring up his former alliance with Acid as a part of Dark Legacy, but are confused as to why he's here now and who's side he's on.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Air%20Attack%20Weasel_zpsvx1idvxb.jpg

  • As Acid looks towards the entry way at Sparrow, Air Attack Weasel emerges from the crowd and slides into the ring, leveling Acid from behind and unloading on him. The crowd is booing and chanting bullshit at the interference, but it's a no disqualification match and the referee is powerless to stop it.

  • Air Attack Weasel grabs a chair, but as he prepares to use it Acid counters by spraying his trademark
    Acid Mist
    into Weasel's face!

  • Acid grabs the chair and smashes Weasel over the back with sending him to the canvas. Seeing Toxin beginning to Stir Acid unfolds the chair and reaches to pull Toxin to his feet, but Toxin rears back and hits his own
    Toxic Mist
right into the eyes and open cut of Acid!

  • Acid stumbles to his knees, but Toxin wastes no time by grabbing him and pulling him up; holding him in the air for a second before dropping him head first onto the seat of the chair with a devastating
    Antidote
    (Omega Driver).

  • There is a sick thud as the seat buckles and Acid is driven through it and into the mat. Toxin covers him, and the referee makes the count to mercifully end the match.

Toxin defeats Acid via Pinfall in 23:53 (B)

After the bell has rung Matt Sparrow limps to ringside and climbs the steps to get into the ring. Toxin is exhausted, but stands across the ring from Sparrow staring him down unflinchingly.

Suddenly Toxin breaks the stalemate; falling to one knee opening his arms to point to the bloody and battered body of Acid before him. Sparrow smiles as he steps forward and places a hand on Toxin's tattered mask before pulling Toxin up to his feet and raising his hand in victory as the crowd boo. Air Attack Weasel has recovered enough to rejoin the duo and together the three men exit and the ring and leave through the crowd; security doing their best to keep any irate fans from attacking.

In the ring the paramedics are treating Acid and eventually load him onto a stretcher before carrying him out of the arena.

Cliff:
I don't have any words for what just happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with Acid right now, and if we get any medical updates I will keep you informed.

Doc:
I knew it would be brutal, but I didn't expect anything like this. There's a certain irony here, this was the match Acid wanted.

Cliff:
Acid didn't deserve this. No one deserved to take that kind of punishment.

Doc:
I can't argue with you Cliff, but the show must go on. We've got a title match up next.

There is some time to kill as staff remove the weaponry and debris from the ring, but traces of blood remained soaked in the canvas as tribute to the carnage it had borne witness to.

Frankie Perez © vs Sammy Bach

Coastal Zone Championship Match

  • The two men had a tough act to follow, but after a slow first few minutes were able to draw the crowd into the matchup.

  • The crowd was split on who to support in this matchup, with both men being quite popular with the crowd and neither playing the heel.

  • The match went back and forth with both men showing their skill and toughness. By the 25 minute mark Bach had managed to escape the
    P-Clutch
(modified Camel Clutch) by dragging himself to the ropes while Frankie was able to kick out of an
    Adrenaline Shot
(Blockbuster) at the last split-second to save his championship.

  • Having taken his opponent off his feet with a springboard forearm, Frankie looked to lock in the
    P-Clutch
, but Sammy slipped behind and locked in the
    Bach on your Back
    (Bodylock Inverted Sleeper).

  • Frankie struggled, eventually getting to his feet and stumbling backwards into the corner turnbuckle. Bach tried to keep the choke on, but Perez fired back with elbows that forced Bach to release him.

  • Freed from his predicament, Frankie unloaded with forearms on the challenger, who was now seated on the turnbuckle. After a dozen hard shots Frankie grabbed Sammy for the
    Perfect Parity
(Muscle Buster), but Bach had enough left to grab the ropes to stop it.

  • Unable to pull Bach off, Perez shoved Bach away (back onto the turnbuckle) before delivering a big leaping elbow strike and climbing up to the second rope for a superplex. Perez got Bach almost vertical, but Bach countered with a knee to the head of Perez that caused him to release him, both men teetering.

  • Bach steadied himself, and in one smooth motion leaped off the turnbuckles while grabbing Frankie for a
    Adrenaline Shot
(Blockbuster) from the top rope. Bach dragged himself to cover Perez, and the crowd chanted along as the referee counted to three to crown Bach the new champion.

Sammy Bach defeats Frankie Perez via Pinfall in 29:01 to win the Coastal Zone Championship (B+)

Doc:
We have a new champion!

Cliff:
That was a fantastic bout with both men showing why they're the best in the world, but only one man could walk out the champion and that man is Sammy Bach!

Doc:
I don't know what else to say, that may go down as the greatest match in CZCW's history!

Cliff:
Thank you all for joining us in a historic night, tune in to CZCW Coast to Coast on Thursday to see more great action! Goodnight!

Bach celebrates with the Belt, soaking in the cheers from the fans as he poses in all four corners of the ring. Medics go to check on the former champion, but Frankie Perez is having none of it and eventually manages to get to his feet and walk out under his own power. The show goes to black with Bach celebrating with the belt in the ring.

This is really good and I've enjoyed getting caught up with the story. CZCW in 2016 is not the CZCW I know from 2013 or even the 2014 addition; but I quite like that. It is a company of flux - or constantly moving forward with the guys in the ring - and you have kept that cutting edge feel even the addition of some star power.

Sammy Bach is a former champion as you mention, and there is a completion of the circle with him winning the title. Frankie will obviously want the title back - but he'll have other contenders to deal with. Having Bach as the guy to be targeted should allow you to have some fun with Perez, Taylor and Devine all wanting to get themselves into title contention.

Bach selecting Jonnie Perez as Frankie's opponent is an obvious move but was handled really well. With all of the guests for the International Cup and ET's Open Challenge, actually having a clash of the Perez brothers was a nice change of pace. Good job.

Toxin, AAW and Matt Sparrow is such a weird trio that I'm totally on board with how they go. Transitioning Acid II into his own man has been handled smartly - though with an unmasked Acid now having gone down twice in a row I worry the feud may start to drag a little with Acid obviously needing a way to get back on par with his former protégé.

All the tag teams! Crikey me! That is a tag division bursting at the seams and it is nice to see you paying real attention to it. I am a big fan of the American Cobras so nice to see them getting their hands on the belts. Rich and Famous are pretty safe hands for a tag feud but you've got both 2Fly and Samoan Destruction ready for the next challenge which will keep the Next Wave busy. You could even throw in The A-List.

I don't know Eisaku Kunomasu but will assume he is the C-Verse Shinsuke Nakamura for now. Him taking the title will obviously cause a reaction from ET - let's see how that goes.

I'm a tad meh on the two MMA lads to be honest - doesn't feel particularly CZCW to my mind but happy to be proven wrong as their story progresses.

As I said - this is really good. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate knowing that people are reading and enjoying this.

I agree completely that guys like Garner and Dorokslov aren't CZCW style guys at all, but I'm a believer in roster diversity so having 1 or 2 guys who work such a vastly different style fits in to me. I'm a big fan of Oleg which made him a natural choice for my International tournament, and in some ways Garner was actually my 2nd choice as I was initially hoping to sign Kazuma Naruto (who had been released by GCG along with Samoan Demolition) to join Ota as the 4th man in their team at the last PPV, but WLW were offering big money for him.

You're right on about the company being in flux and very different then CZCW in 2014 when I began this, but in many ways this is a necessity. Frankie Perez is the last real holdout from the original main event scene so I've had to diversify the roster, and I felt I had to adjust CZCW's product to be slightly more mainstream friendly once I got to Cult and wanted to compete with the Big Three of US companies. I haven't radically changed it, but it's a bit more storyline driven now with TVs at 80% match ratio.

Anyway thanks for the great feedback. I really appreciate knowing that there are people reading and enjoying this.

Acid Injury Update. Matt Sparrow Addresses Fans.

Last night's Surf Slam PPV saw Acid suffer severe injuries, and was taken by ambulance to a hospital following his match with Toxin. He remained hospitalized overnight and has been reported to be stable and conscious, but the extent of his injuries are unknown. CZCW President Cliff Anderson sent out a message thanking fans for all the thoughts and prayers for Acid, but gave no indication of when or if Acid would be ready to wrestle again.

Many fans were left outraged and baffled by the interference of Matt Sparrow and Air Attack weasel in the match-up between Acid and Toxin. This afternoon Matt Sparrow posted a video, later re-posted on CZCW's own website, addressing some of these questions.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Matt%20Sparrow_zpsrgnouucs.jpg

The video, which appears to have been shot on a phone or handheld camera, starts off with a blurry footage of a dark room, but is steadied once Matt Sparrow comes into focus. The CZCW star appearing disheveled and in a degree of pain as he limps into the shot; still selling his injuries from his match against Marksman.

Why Sparrow Why? Why did you betray American Flash? How could you drop Marksman onto the concrete? Why did you betray Acid?

Sparrow delivers the lines in a mocking fashion, pausing for a moment before continue.

People question me, ignorant of what they don't understand, but I've never payed them any mind. However, as I left the ring last night I heard a woman scream at me. 'You're going to Hell Sparrow!'

Sparrow pauses for a moment, and reaches into his pocket to pull out a silver cross hanging on an iron chain. He examines it for a moment, before closing it in his hand.

That message resonated with me. One of my clearest memories from my childhood is the day a preacher came to our little town in North Dakota to speak. He was only in town for a day, but his words stuck with me. He delivered a sermon, telling us the world was damned and only through hellfire could our sins be cleansed.

Sparrow looks away for a camera for a moment, before turning and staring into it.

I may be a sinner, but mine are nothing compared to Acid. When his head met that steel chair and the steel buckled that was his punishment! When he was cut open and his blood sprayed onto the mat that was his penance! When he was left lying, broken in a heap, that was his salvation!

Sparrow's voice grows louder as he speaks, almost shouting as he finishes. Taking a moment to collect himself he finally begins to speak again, quietly this time.

Acid, there's only one thing more I have left to say to you.

Sparrow pauses, letting the camera zoom in on his face.

I forgive you.

The camera zooms out. Sparrow unfurls the cross and chain from his hand and pulls it over his head, tucking it beneath his shirt before the video ends.

Svensson and Guttman have great bad ass potential as a tag team and need to start building momentum here.

Frankie Perez vs JOJI

Perez isn't losing so soon after losing the title, and certainly not to JOJI

Eisaku Kunomasu vs Fro Sure

You don't end a long, strong title run just to lose the title a week later. Strong Style wins!

Stable you united at the PPV and have been building vs mix group of various riff-raff...hmmm

Sammy Bach & Joshua Taylor vs Darryl Devine & Stephen Grayson

This is one I may get wrong, but I think the A-List need SOMETHING. So I think they sneak away with the win.
