CZCW Sign PPV Deal with MySelect USA - 4/22/16

Last night on CZCW Coastal to Coast it was announced that a deal had been struck that would see the upcoming Welcome to the Coastal Zone broadcast nationally on PPV, and just this morning sources within MySelect USA confirmed that the company had entered into a 6 month PPV agreement with CZCW. This marks a huge milestone for the California based company which had until relatively recently been seen as merely a proving ground for future TCW and SWF stars.

CZCW owner Cliff Anderson has a lot to celebrate, as this moment is the culmination of a quarter century of struggle. Winning over an audience with fast paced action delivered by a roster of smaller more athletic competitors, forging a strong fan base in Southern California, expanding to Oregon, Washington, and as far east as Texas, all the while dealing with a constantly shifting roster due to signings from larger companies in USA, Canada, Japan, and even Mexico.

When CZCW signed a TV deal just over a year ago many in the industry were dismissive; some going as far as to say that all it meant was that there stars would be more well known when they made their debuts to the major leagues of TCW or SWF. With this announcement as well as the recent big money signings of stars such as Huey Cannonball, Guide, Benny Benson, and Joshua Taylor the upstart west coast company has sent a message loud and clear; CZCW is big time now and they will not be ignored.

Hello, and welcome to my dynasty. The fact that you've read this far is a good sign, as most writers that don't have the (well earned) reputations of writers such as James Casey, Eisenverse, Phantom Stranger, and the like don't get much attention until they've posted a few shows. My own diary record is spotty at best, but I felt compelled to do a CZCW diary on the basis that I've gotten quite invested in a long term save of mine, and wanted to share my experiences with other TEW fans on the board.

While the in game starting point is 2016 I sadly don't have an advanced copy of the upcoming TEW 2016 game, I started with the 2014 C-Verse database and have played up to this point. Jumping into a game well into the game play is strange in some ways, but in others ways it should work well as I've had the time to instill my vision of the company and thus their won't be the new game effect of a handful of workers being fired and replaced by personal favorites from the indy scene.

I'm hoping to start this diary off with a bang by having the first full show I post be Welcome to the Coastal Zone, our companies biggest show of the year; made all the more important by the fact that it will also be our first ever show on PPV. Before I put up the show I'm going to post a promo package for the main event highlighting the feud; which hopefully will give you some background and get you interested in the storyline leading into the match.

Accomplishments

1x Coastal Zone Champion, 2x USPW National Champion, 1x 4C Tag Champion (with Jacob Jett)

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #127

An extremely talented wrestler, Darryl Devine believes that he is better then CZCW, and that he and his allies are the only wrestlers worthy of being the focal point of the company.

“Awesome”
Huey Cannonball

Employment History

CZCW (September 2015 – Present), SWF (February 2011 – September 2015), MAW (October 2005 – February 2011)

Accomplishments

2x Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champion (with Jefferson Stardust)

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #228

A surprise jump from SWF, Cannonball almost immediately aligned himself with Darryl Devine in their quest to wrest the Coastal Zone Championship away from Frankie Perez.

“All Business”
Benson Crane

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #138

Benson made his CZCW to much fanfare as the loveable Benny Benson, but quickly showed his true colors when he laid out Frankie Perez and declared that that Benson Crane was done playing games and he was all business now. Unable to wrest the title from Perez, Benson would become the 3rd member of the powerful A-List stable.

“Superstar”
Stephen Grayson

Employment History: CZCW (October 2014-Present), CGC (May 2008 – September 2014), TCW (March 2001 – July 2006)

2015 Power 500 Rankings: #258

Veteran Star of TCW & CGC, Stevie Grayson came into CZCW in order to prove that he still had what it took to deliver day in and day out inside the ring. Initially a fan favorite, Grayson shockingly turned on friend and partner Air Attack Weasel to become the 4th member of the A-List. He has since demanded to be refereed to only as Stephen as he feels that his former name and fan friendly attitude have held him back from achieving his potential.

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #128

Frankie Perez is a great wrestler with an ultra stiff wrestling style that has proven to be a huge hit among CZCW faithful. One of CZCW's home grown talents, Perez has slowly climbed up the card over his stay in CZCW and became a Triple Crown Champion when he finally won the Coastal Zone Championship in 2015. The reigning champion, Perez has taken on all comers and his reign has seen some of the greatest matches in company history against the like of Acid, Darryl Devine, and Huey Cannonball.

CZCW (February 2009 - Present)

Achievements

1x Coastal Zone Tag Team Champion (with Frankie Perez)

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #269

Trained at the Coastal Dojo, Jonnie Perez chose to forgo his brother's no-nonsense style of wrestling and instead displayed a daredevil high flying style that proved popular with the fans. Initially somewhat sloppy in the ring, Perez has developed into one of the most reliable members of the roster and formed a loose alliance with his older brother and close friends, California Love Machine and Francisco Fernandes.

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #243

With a unique blend of Charisma, Looks, and Flashy high flying skills California Love Machine has become one of the fastest rising young stars in CZCW. His tag team with Francesco Fernandes has had a record tying four reigns with the CZCW Tag Team Titles, and is regarded as one of the companies top acts. Only 27 years old and continually upping his game, who knows what the future holds for CLM?

Formally known as Frankie-Boy, Francesco Fernandes is one of the Coastal Dojos biggest success stories, his team with California Love Machine has seem the duo rapidly move up the card in the five years since his in ring debut. Recently Fernandes has taken to using his real name, feeling that he has now proven himself as a multi-time tag champion; not to mention that having two wrestlers named Frankie in the company was the source of much confusion.

Guide is best known for his work as one half of the New Wave, one of the most accomplished tag teams in recent history. Guide debuted in CZCW earlier this year just weeks after the new Wave dropped the TCW tag team titles, and quickly established himself as deserving his spot near the top of the card. A veteran, Guide has taken Marksman (Kirk Jameson) and the American Cobras under his wing; vowing to turn them into an elite fighting force.

Elliot Thomas, or ET as the fans like to call him, is a young wrestler who graduated from the TCW dojo in 2011. Quiet and soft spoken outside of the ring, and rather small for a wrestler Thomas isn't what most people think of when they think wrestling superstar, but he has shown a dedication to his craft and grown rapidly into a tremendous in ring talent. Never pushed as more then an opening match worker, Thomas elected to leave TCW and head to CZCW in order to prove himself. A task he has accomplished handily in the six months since his debut.

After the division was cut in 2005 Ota would disappear for several years before returning to the independent scene and having something of a career renaissance being signed by CZCW in 2015. Initially a member of the villainous Dark Legacy stable, Ota recently face after the split and begun feuding with the A-List, recruiting Samoan Destruction Inc to even the odds against the egotistical group.

Having won gold in both PGHW and TCW, two of the world's largest and most respected companies, Taylor's signing with CZCW came as a shock as the star was signed to the biggest contract in CZCW history. Seemingly unbeatable since his debut, Taylor has defeated everyone in his path save for one man, reigning Coastal Zone Champion Frankie Perez.

Challenging Frankie Perez for the belt, Bach would beat him in a one on one for the title in a match critics are calling the best CZCW's ever put on.

Amazing Fire Fly

Employment History

CZCW (February 2014 - Present), CILL (June 2013 – January 2014)

Accomplishments

2x Coastal Zone Tag Team Champion (1x with Lenny Brown, 1x with Extraordinario Jr)

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #232

A massively talented luchador with a seemingly inexhaustible repertoire of insane flips and dives, Amazing Firefly was trained by Axis Jr and boosts some criminally underrated technical skills to match his breathtaking high flying. Having spent the last two years in CZCW, Amazing Fire Fly has proven to be a great tag team competitor, winning gold initially with fellow luchador Extraordinario Jr and later with the charismatic Lenny Brown.

Lenny Brown

Employment History

CZCW (May 2015 – Present), SWF (January 2014 to May 2015), RIPW (March 2012 - January 2014)

Accomplishments

1x Coastal Zone Tag Team Champion (with Amazing Firefly), 1x RIPW USA Champion

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #279

Lenny Brown is a young wrestler who graduated from the SWF Dojo in 2012. A solid wrestler with good looks and charisma to match, Brown was hotly tipped to be one of SWF's breakout stars, but for whatever reason his big push never happened and he was let go after less then a year and a half on the main roster. Brown would resurface in CZCW, where he displayed a great natural chemistry teaming with Amazing Firefly as 2Fly. The oddball pairing have risen to being one of CZCW's most popular tag teams.

Accomplishments

2x Coastal Zone Xtreme, 1x Coastal Zone Tag Team (with KC Glenn), 1x 4C Hardcore Champion

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #220

Air Attack Weasel may be a strange dude outside of the ring, but as an in ring performer he has proved to be a true ring general turning in good performances night after night. With one tag team partner leaving the company (KC Glenn), and the next turning on him (Stevie Grayson), Weasel has perhaps not learned his lessons and for reasons known only to himself decided that he can “rehabilitate” Matt Sparrow and has recently begun teaming with his “rehabilitated” partner as Animal Instincts.

Matt Sparrow

Employment History

CZCW (November 2006 - Present) DAVE (January 2005 - Present)

Accomplishments

1x CZCW Xtreme Champion, 1x CZCW Tag Team Champion (with The American Flash)

2015 Power 500 Ranking: #215

“The Birdman” Matt Sparrow is a long tenured member of the CZCW roster who has acquired a following thanks both to his solid in ring ability and rambling online “Bird Droppings” blog. Over the last few years Sparrow has really come into his own as a slimy, hate-able heel, having turned on long time partner the American Flash and then joined Acid's Dark Legacy stable. Despite the groups breakup, Sparrow has continued his diabolical ways, being engaged in an ongoing feud with the Cobra Assault Squad who are looking for revenge after Sparrow put Marksman out of action for over a month via a Bird Brain Buster on the floor. Recently he has also begun teaming with Air Attack Weasel, who seems to be the only one man in CZCW to believe that Sparrow is genuinely sorry for what he's done and wants to change his ways.

Donnie J's departure for TCW in April 2015 was an emotional one. On his last night in the company he gave a speech thanking the fans, before the locker room emptied to give him one last standing ovation for all the blood, sweat, and tears he had given to CZCW. Ironically, Donnie J has found himself in the same promotion as his longtime partner James Prudence once more as the SWF star recently jumped ship, but they have not (as of yet) reformed the Fly Boys.

KC Glenn

The brilliantly talented KC Glenn made his CZCW debut in June of 2014 after having greatly impressed in several trades with MAW. A clear superstar in the making Glenn was tipped to be signed by one of the big American companies, but instead headed to Japan's GCG on a long term written deal where he seems to have developed into their top gaijin. He has gotten hugely over in the time since, with his recent 60 minute time limit draw against Hiroyasu Gakusha being said to have been a 5 Star Match of the Year canidate.

Marc Speed was one of several CZCW stars (alongside Donnie J, Fox Mask, Masked Cougar, and Remmy Skye) to be signed by TCW in April of 2015. His technical style has proven to be a good fit for the company, and he has developed into a solid midcarder for the company.

The hooded high flier known as Masked Cougar wrestled his last match in CZCW in April of 2015, being one of a host of CZCW talent that was signed to long term contracts by TCW. His run in TCW has proven quite successful, and has formed a good championship winning tag team with James “Mainstream” Hernandez.

“The Dragon” Mikey James's signing with TCW in November 2014 was a surprise to few after his great one year title reign and tremendous body of work in CZCW. James has risen up the TCW card quickly, and seems on the verge of being a true contender to the heavyweight title.

While not an in ring contributor, The Guru was the longtime voice of CZCW and his departure for TCW in late 2014 was a sad day for fans. Since joining TCW he has established himself as their top color commentator, and has been instrumental in getting over many of their ex-CZCW talent.

Winning the championship was the culmination of eleven years of struggle.

Footage plays of Perez's Ladder match with Darryl Devine, culminating in him finally climbing the ladder and claiming the title.

Every bruise, every broken bone, every night on the road, was justified by this championship

The footage lingers on a shot of a emotional Frankie Perez being cheered by the rabid crowd after finally winning the championship.

Yet ever since I won the championship it seems like all this company cares about is hyping their new big signing, what star was going to jump to CZCW from some other company.

[The footage cuts to shots of the CZCW debuts of Huey Cannonball, Guide, Benson Crane, and finally Joshua Taylor. The shot lingers on a CZCW poster featuring Taylor Front and Center with Perez's name in smaller print below]

I'm the champion, I've defeated every challenger whose been put in my way, and I'm going to be damned if I'm going to let an outsider walk in and take what I've spent a career earning.

The shot switches over to highlights of Frankie Perez's successful title defenses against the likes of Acid, Huey Cannonball, and Stephen Grayson.

Taylor you've won championships across the globe, but when you step inside this ring they don't mean a damn thing.

The footage cuts to Perez and Taylor facing off in the ring from the last weeks TV, Perez raises the belt high in the air as the two competitors stare down.

I hope your ready for a war, because all the blood, sweat, and tears that it took to get me this title, they're nothing compared to what I'll do to keep it.

The camera does a close up of Perez with the title, before switching focus to his challenger; Joshua Taylor.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Joshua%20Taylor_zpsc7rosqie.jpg

I don't need to tell you who I am.

Clips play of Taylor's work in Japan, his array of devastating strikes, slams, and suplexes.

PGHW, TCW, I've fought with some of the greatest wrestlers in the globe

The footage switches over to Taylor's first match in CZCW as he demolishes Air Attack Weasel, forcing him to submit to his trademark Butterfly Lock.

CZCW is home to some of the best wrestlers in the world, and I've proven myself against them.

The footage switches over to Taylor's victories over a who's who list of CZCW Stars: Devine, Benson, and Acid are among his defeated foes.

I've beaten everyone who's stepped in the ring with me, everybody except for you Frankie.

The footage switches over to footage from Perez & Taylor's match at Uprising; the flow of the match going back and forth.

Are match was a battle of attrition, but as the match went on we both could see how it was headed.

The footage cuts to later in the match as Taylor delivered strike after strike to a battered Perez before hitting a picture perfect bridging German suplex that the champion is barely able to kick out from.

You knew I had you beat, but you weren't going to let the title go that easily were you?

Taylor, looking nearly unmarked, hurls a battered Frankie Perez into the corner turnbuckle with such velocity that he crashes over the ropes to the outside landing knee first on the steel steps. Taylor goes out to bring him back into the ring, but as Perez is screaming in pain the referee and doctors step in the way to check on Perez. Taylor is arguing with ref while the doctor is examining Perez, but with Taylor distracted Perez springs to life nailing his challenger with a kick to the back of the head before rolling up the stunned Taylor for a three count.

You got me Frankie, I'll hand it to you. But I'm not going to fall for the same trick twice.

Footage cuts to Perez winning a 20 man Battle Royal at Spring Beach Bash to secure number one contendership for the championship.

You see this at Welcome to the Coastal Zone it's me and you in a cell match. No tricks, no games, only the two of us surrounded by cold hard steel.

The footage cuts back to Perez and Taylor's stare down on TV as the opponents square off ahead of their match

At the end of the night only one of us will be left standing Frankie. When all is said and done there will be no question about who the real champion is.

Thanks for all the responses and predictions! Been less then a day and I've already got more people responding and predicting then in any of my prior dynasties.

I've been playing this save off and on for quite a while, and over time I've gotten more into it coming up with characters, storylines, and long term plans. Originally I had no intentions of using the game in a dynasty, but several things came together all at once and it seemed like it would be fun to share my experience with others.

Welcome to the Coastal Zone

Monday, May 2nd, 2016

15,000 Fans in Attendance (New Company Record)

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Cliff%20Anderson_zpsr1rssgkz.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Doc%20Messing_zpslh1gq19r.jpg

Cliff:
Hello and welcome to the viewers across the country! Tonight we're going to show you the finest wrestling money can buy culminating in the Steel Cell match tonight, but first up we have Elliot Thomas's open challenge for the CZCW Xtreme title.

Doc:
I don't know if it was a smart move to put the title on the line without being able to even scout your opponent, especially after Commissioner Dread announced he was bringing in a foreign star to test the youngster.

Cliff:
That's what the Xtreme title is all about, being willing to defend it anywhere; be it on TV, on PPV, or even on a house show. Thomas has proven time and time again that he's a fighting champion, and tonight looks to be no different.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpg

Elliot Thomas's music hits, and the Xtreme Champion makes his way to the ring to a good reaction from the CZCW faithful. After posing with the belt in the ring Thomas waits patiently before Dread comes out to the ramp microphone in hand.

Dread:
For your opponent tonight I've brought in a man who is a star in PGHW and one of the most talented technicians on the planet. Your opponent is “SUICIDAL” FLEMMY LEMMING!

The announcement gets a reasonably good reaction from the crowd. While it's been over a decade since Flemmy wrestled a match in the United, his reputation in Japan has put him on the radar of hardcore fans and he was rated the 17th best wrestler in the world in the 2015 TEW500 rankings.

Elliot Thomas © vs Flemmy Lemming

Coastal Zone Xtreme Championship Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Alumni%20and%20Loaned%20Wrestlers/Flemmy%20Lemming_alt1_zpslpais8qk.jpg

  • The matchup seems to favor Flemmy early on, as Taylor is used to being the smaller man in the match and can't seem to find a way to counter his opponents technical excellence.

  • Taylor fights his way back into the match by upping the pace and wiping out Flemmy with dives and a leaping plancha to the outside.

  • Flemmy looks like he might have the match won after he locks in a vicious looking guillotine, but with the championship on the line Thomas fights through the pain, making to his feet and then hitting a brilliant counter by pushing off the turnbuckle and hitting a tornado DDT.

  • Taylor follows up with the Quiet Down (Triple Jump Moonsault) that nets him the three count over his challenger.

Elliot Thomas defeats Flemmy Lemming via Pinfall in 13:54 (C+)

Cliff:
Lemmy showed why he's so respected internationally, but Thomas proves why he's our champion!

Doc:
Now that’s how you start a show!

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpg

Dread enters the ring microphone in hand.

Dread:
Over the past two months 10 Competitors from across the globe have been competing in CZCW representing a range of styles from Judo to Jiu Jitsu to Lucha and everything in between. Tonight we will be seeing the culmination of these competitors struggle! All ten will be competing in in this ring for the right to win the first ever CZCW International Cup, but only one will succeed. The match will follow elimination rules, with timed entrances based on points earned in the qualifying stage, without further ado lets begin the match!

10 Man Timed Entrance Elimination Match

International Cup Finals

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Boriken%20Love%20Machine_zpsbx9vfj9j.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kamikaze_zpsqsefclyy.jpg

The charismatic masked man from Puerto Rico, Boriken Love Machine is the first entrant out. With a record of 0-4 in his block during the round robin stage he'll need to put on a career defining performance tonight to survive and bring the cup back to the island. With three competitors tying with a 1-3 record the unlucky man to come out in 2nd position is none other then the death defying Canadian, Kamikaze.

  • The opening minutes were somewhat of a clash of styles, as despite his colorful mask Boriken is much more of a brawler, using his size advantage to keep Kamikaze grounded.

  • This strategy seemed to be working until the Love Machine spent too long posing for the crowd, allowing Kamikaze to send him to the outside with a hurricanrana and follow up with a crazy looking corkscrew plancha over the ropes to the outside.

  • With both competitors wiped out on the outside the fans counted down as the timer for the next entrant reached 0.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Boriken%20Love%20Machine_zpsbx9vfj9j.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kamikaze_zpsqsefclyy.jpg

  • Out next was the German “Ice Man” Irwin Gutmann who wasted no time in going after the recovering wrestlers on the outside.

  • Irwin Gutmann sent Kamikaze crashing into the steps before grabbing the Puerto Rican and throwing him into the ring and battering him with European Uppercuts.

  • Boriken Love Machine fired back with punches of his own and got the crowd behind him as he made his comeback, however Gutmann was able to reverse a Love Gun (Falling Side Slam) into his trademark Dragon Sleeper!

  • The Puerto Rican refuses to tap, but seems to be fading and the ref goes to raise his hand once, twice, but out of nowhere Kamikaze leaps off the turnbuckle and hits both men with the Reverse 450 Splash!

  • Kamikaze crawls over to Boriken Love Machine and covers him for the first Elimination of the match

Boriken Love Machine Jr has been Eliminated

  • Kamikaze covers Gutmann hoping to make it 2 for 2, but the German representative gets his shoulder up in time as the crowd count down for the next entrant.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Mario%20Da%20Silva_alt1_zpshpn2ims6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kamikaze_zpsqsefclyy.jpg

  • Mario da Silva steps onto the stage as the fourth in the gauntlet. Unlike Gutmann, da Silva takes his sweet time getting to the ring as he poses for the cameras and slaps hands of the fans.

  • Da Silva's methodical entrance gives the competitors in the ring time to recover, and as he's still slapping hands with fans Kamikaze comes through the ropes and wipes him out with a suicide dive.

  • Gutmann joins his opponents on the outside, and the next couple minutes is filled with back and forth brawling before the timer counts down for the next entrant.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Mario%20Da%20Silva_alt1_zpshpn2ims6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kamikaze_zpsqsefclyy.jpg

  • Next up is Japanese high flyer JOJI, who manages to wipe out both Gutmann and Silva with a dive from the ramp before going one on one with Kamikaze in the ring.

  • The ring is a blur of action as the two lightning quick combatants go back in forth in a series of back and forth cruiserweight action.

  • The deadlock is broken when Kamikaze goes for a springboard splash, but JOJI nails him with a counter-dropkick to the jaw. Before JOJI can make the cover Da Silva re-enters the ring and blinsides JOJI before locking Kamikaze in the Kimura.

  • Gutmann re-enters the ring, but smartly chooses not to help the Canadian and instead begins working over JOJI in the corner. With nowhere to go and his arm being wrenched back Kamikaze is forced to tap out.

Kamikaze has been Eliminated

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Simon%20Ice_zpsjokdml1z.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Mario%20Da%20Silva_alt1_zpshpn2ims6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpg

  • “Sensational” Simon Ice is the next man in and the Englishman enters in style as he wipes out both da Silva and Gutmann with a springboard dropkick.

  • JOJI goes after the new entrant, but Ice sends him to the outside with a dropkick before climbing the turnbuckle and wiping all three of his opponents out with a senton.

  • With all three men recovering on the outside the ring is empty as the clock ticks down for the seventh entrant.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Nigel%20Svensson_zpsvcfbdxit.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Simon%20Ice_zpsjokdml1z.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Mario%20Da%20Silva_alt1_zpshpn2ims6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpg

  • Svensson enters and is all business as he makes his way ringside and goes after Simon Ice who's the first to his feet.

  • Svensson slams the Brit into the apron before rolling him into the ring and immediately going for his trademark hyper-extension armlock.

  • Gutmann gets on the apron, but rather then attack the Swede he instead grabs an ankle lock on Ice adding to his predicament. With nowhere to go and having both his arm and ankle wrenched Ice has no choice but to use his free hand to frantically tap out.

Simon Ice has been Eliminated

  • There seems to be an unspoken alliance in effect Svensson and Gutmann turn their attention to the two remaining competitors with Svennson targeting JOJI and Gutmann going after da Silva.

  • Gutmann rolls da Silva into the ring, but the Brazilian takes him down and goes for his Kimura!

  • Da Silva seems to have gotten it locked in, but Svennson intervenes and boots da Silva in the side of the head knocking the Brazilian loopy. Gutmann seizes the opportunity to put da Silva in the Choke Sleeper Takedown.

  • With Svensson keeping JOJI busy in the corner the Referee is forced to eliminate the unresponsive da Silva who slumps to the mat once Gutmann finally releases him.

Mario da Silva has been Eliminated.

  • Gutmann and Svensson begin to double team JOJI in the corner as the clock ticks down for the next entrant.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Hugh%20de%20Aske_zpsfd1abzey.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Nigel%20Svensson_zpsvcfbdxit.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpg

  • “The Dread Pirate” Hugh de Aske is the eighth man in and sprints to the ring and immediately begins taking the fight to Gutmann & Svensson one on two.

  • De Aske unloads on the European duo, and goes for the Cut-throat driver on Svensson, but the numbers game proves too much as Gutmann breaks it up with a kick to the gut.

  • Gutmann & Svensson methodically pick apart their foes, but are unable to score any eliminations before the buzzer for the next entrant goes off.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/La%20Sombra_zps0dzaot75.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Hugh%20de%20Aske_zpsfd1abzey.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Nigel%20Svensson_zpsvcfbdxit.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Irwin%20Gutmann_zpsqy5uk90e.jpg

  • La Sombra Jr enters to a good reaction after his undefeated showing in the round robin stage and immediately takes Gutmann and Svensson off their game with a series of fast paced lucha dives and reversals.

  • Gutmann finally is able to cut off the luchador with a boot to the gut and goes for his Dragon Sleeper, but La Sombra counters and rolls into a La Sombra Cradle (La Magistral) for the three count!

Irwin Gutmann has been eliminated

  • Unable to break the pin in time, Svensson takes his frustration out on the luchador, stomping La Sombra Jr on the mat as the match as the time counts down on the final entrant.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Oleg%20Dorosklov_zps6ndcrdqx.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/La%20Sombra_zps0dzaot75.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Hugh%20de%20Aske_zpsfd1abzey.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Nigel%20Svensson_zpsvcfbdxit.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpg

  • The “Ukrainian Terminator” Oleg Dorokslov makes his way to the ring with an emotionless stare on his face as he slides into the ring. Svensson rushes in going for a clothesline, but Oleg slams to the mat with a judo throw and in one fluid motion locks in his Elbow Lock Twist forcing a near-instant tapout.

Nigel Svensson has been Eliminated

  • Dorokslov turns to look for his next victim, but seeing the bigger threat the three remaining competitors team up to take down Dorokslov. La Sombra Jr hits an enzuigiri, JOJI dropkicks him into a corner where de Aske hits him with a leaping forearm smash.

  • De Aske pulls Dorokslov to the center of the ring and hoists him up for a Cut-Throat Driver, but Dorokslov twists into the Cross Arm Lock and sends de Aske to the mat howling in pain; forced to tap as the Ukrainian wrenches on the arm.

Hugh de Aske has been Eliminated

  • JOJI goes for a springboard maneuver on the Ukrainian, but Dorokslov sees him coming and takes him out with a huge European Uppercut that sends him rolling to the outside.

  • The distraction allows La Sombra Jr to grab Dorokslov from behind with a La Sombra Cradle (La Magistral) that surprises the Olympic Medalist and nearly gets the win, but Dorokslov is able to kick out and immediately counter it into another Cross Arm Lock!

  • La Sombra Jr tries to fight through the pain, but with JOJI still out and nowhere to go he's forced to tap out to avoid having his arm wrenched off.

La Sombra Jr has been Eliminated

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Oleg%20Dorosklov_zps6ndcrdqx.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/JOJI_zpsktw9x5y6.jpg

  • We're down to two now as Dorokslov rolls to the outside and throws JOJI into the ring.

  • Dorokslov goes for his Cross-Arm Lock, but JOJI counters with an incredible Kip-Up Hurricanrana!

  • Dorokslov is off balance and JOJI continues his momentum with a Handspring Elbow off the ropes that sends Dorokslov to the mat.

  • JOJI climbs to the top rope and waits for Dorokslov to get to his feat before leaping off for a crossbody, but in an incredible display of athleticism Dorokslov leaps into the air and grabs the Cross Arm Lock.

  • JOJI fights and fights, but Dorokslov is relentless and with one final pull forces the Japanese youngster to tap out.

JOJI has been Eliminated

  • Dorokslov through his arm in the air in victory as Dread entered the ring with his trophy. Dorokslov accepted Dread's handshake respectfully before letting out a roar and posing with his trophy.

Oleg Dorokslov win the 2016 CZCW International Cup. Oleg Dorokslov had the most eliminations with 4 to his name, and JOJI spent the longest time in the match at fourteen minutes. (C-)

Cliff:
All 10 men gave it everything they had, but in the end Oleg Dorokslov would not be denied and has earned his spot in CZCW history as the first ever International Cup Winner.

Doc:
Oleg looked unstoppable! I'd hate to be whoever has to step into the ring with him next, that's for sure.

Cliff:
You're right about that, but up next we have a tag team match months in the making.

A hype video plays highlighting the ongoing feud between Next Wave (Guide & Marksman) and Animal Instincts (Air Attack Weasel & Matt Sparrow) the main focus being on Matt Sparrow's vile behavior culminating in his Bird Brain-Buster to Marksman on the floor, and then on his “Apology” a month later after returning from suspension having been “reformed” by Air Attack Weasel.

Cliff:
Tonight we may finally see Matt Sparrow get comeuppance for what he's been doing for the past few months.

Doc:
Shame on you Cliff, Sparrow is a changed man; haven't you heard a thing he and Weasel have been saying?

Cliff:
Either way I don't think Guide or Marksman are going to be so forgiving, and tonight they're going to see that inside the ring.

Animal Instincts vs Next Wave

Grudge Match

  • Guide & Marksman rush to the ring trying to turn this into an all out brawl, but Sparrow and Weasel bail to the outside while the referee calms things down.

  • Marksman clearly wants Sparrow in the ring, but the birdman wants no part of it as he tags in Air Attack Weasel and avoids contact with him for most of the match.

  • The match goes back and forth with Guide & Marksman getting the better of most individual battles, but Weasel & Sparrow using 2 on 1 tactics and some less then legal maneuvers to turn the tide in their favor.

  • Sparrow & Weasel isolate Marksman in the corner, targeting his head and neck as the commentators voice concern over whether he had fully recovered from the brainbuster on the floor two months ago.

  • Marksman is finally able to make the hot tag after rolling out of the way of a Plop Goes The Weasel (Top Rope Butt Press) and Guide clears the ring 1 on 2 with a frenetic volley of strikes.

  • Guide lifts Sparrow up for the Guided Missile (Northern Lights Bomb) but Air Attack Weasel jumps in and takes out his knee with a chop block.

  • Marksman makes the blind tag and levels Weasel with a Bullseye (Sit-Out Double Underhook Powerbomb) and then locks in the Kirk-Hold (Elevated Leg Lock)

  • Sparrow is up at ringside, but with Guide guarding Marksman inside the ring he makes no effort to get in the ring and save his partner as Weasel is forced to tap out.

Next Wave defeated Animal Instincts when Marksman submitted Air Attack Weasel in 14:42 (C+)

After the match Marksman is shouting at Sparrow to get in the ring and fight him like a man, but Sparrow smiles, and then shrugs before walking back up the ramp amidst boos from the crowd.

Cliff:
Sparrow shows his true colors here, abandoning his partner like that.

Doc:
The first rule of the jungle is survival, Matt Sparrow did the smart thing.

Cliff:
I don't think Marksman is going to be satisfied winning like that, but up next we have a huge match with high stakes. The first ever mask vs mask match in CZCW history!

Doc:
I can't wait cliff, this is going to be great.

A recap package is shown, beginning with Acid & Acid II's CZCW debut leading up to the Unit vs Unit match where Acid II was pinned and Acid responded by attacking his protege after the match and adding humiliation by slapping him and tearing his mask. Then it shows Acid II's revenge at last month's battle royal for the number one contendership when he nailed his mentor with his own Acid mist leading to his elimination. The clip ends with highlight of Acid's challenge and his protege's acceptance for the mask vs mask match.

Acid vs Acid II

Mask vs Mask

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid_alt7_zpsssenv4cu.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid%20II_zpsypdlxdxp.jpg

  • The fans were hot from the get-go as they chanted for both men on their way to the ring.

  • With both men so familiar with one another this match was full of counters and reversals as each tried to anticipate their opponents next move and catch them off guard.

  • Despite the pace and intensity neither man is able to put away his opponent for good.

  • At the 20 minute mark Acid is able to catch his protege off guard by countering a hurricanrana into a corner powerbomb and following up with a spinning DDT.

  • Acid capitalizes by going up top and finally nailing the Acid Bomb (Diving Senton), but in a display of fortitude Acid II manages to kick out at 2.9.

  • Acid wastes no time, immediately locking in the Acidity Test (Deathlock STF) and uncharacteristically screaming at his protege to give up.

  • Acid II is bent nearly in half, but he refuses to give in and drags himself inch by inch to the ropes to break the hold.

  • The normally stoic Acid looks furious as he throws his protege into the corner and unloads on him with a vicious barrage of kicks to the chest.

  • Acid II crumples down and Acid signals to the crowd before moving to the opposite corner and running for a leaping dropkick, but Acid II leaps to his feet and hits a huge superkick.

  • With both men down Acid II is the first to stir and climbs to the top rope, but Acid stirs and cuts him off by jumping up onto the turnbuckle. The two masked men exchange strikes with Acid getting the better of it before Acid II hits a massive headbutt that staggers his mentor.

  • Acid seems out of it barely able to hang onto the rope, and Acid II capitalizes by leaping and hitting an incredible reverse hurricanrana that spikes Acid on the mat!

  • Acid II climbs to the top rope and hits the Acid Bomb, One- the crowd erupts as Acid kicks out at one.

  • Acid II seems stunned by the one count as his mentor stumbles to his feet, but wastes no time and delivers another superkick to his mentor.

  • Acid stumbles to the rope, somehow still standing, but Acid II grabs him and lifts him the air before planting him head first into the mat with a Omega Driver! One, Two, Three! The crowd goes wild as Acid II pulls out a brand new move to finally put away his mentor.

Acid II defeats Acid via Pinfall in 25:31, Acid must unmask (B-)

As the bell rings the crowd is still going wild with chants of “Acid! Acid!”, but eventually quiet down as Acid II exits the ring leaving the referee to inform Acid of his loss. Acid refuses assistance, and is eventually able to make it to his feet under his own power, taking a moment to look out at the crowd who cheer him. Finally Acid reaches back and slowly unmasks before the crowd.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid_alt2_zpsi41sfdlr.jpg

Acid looks out at the crowd, and at his protege still standing at ringside before looking down and asking for a microphone. Acid is clearly emotional as he holds the microphone, waiting for the crowd to die down to begin talking.

I still remember the first match I ever had, it was at a little show in Saskatchewan in front of fifty people. Seth Storm was in the main event, one of his last shows before he went to the SWF. He was a personal hero of mine and I'll never forgot was he told me when I asked for his advice after my match. “You've got talent kid, too bad you'll never make it.”

Acid pauses as the crowd boos.

It was then that I realized that I realized that in order to make I needed to be more then just good, I needed to be the best at what I did. For sixteen years I've wrestled in Canada, in the United States, in Japan, and anywhere else you can name. I've striven to be the best wherever I went, but at a certain point in your life you realize that you can't perform the way you could before, and that maybe it's time to let the younger generation take over.

The crowd is shocked and responds with chants of “No” and “You've Still Got It” at Acid. The now unmasked man waits for the fans to quiet down before he continues.

Six years ago I was working on a little show in Boston when I saw a kid that reminded me a lot of myself when I was younger, and after his match he asked me what I thought so I told him “You've got talent kid, I think you have what it takes to make it.”

Acid pauses for a minute as he pointed at Acid II standing on the outside.

You see I put my heart and soul into wrestling, and even though I can't wrestler forever I can still leave behind a legacy that will live on, and tonight Acid II has proved without a doubt that he is ready to carry on that legacy and he doesn't need my guidance anymore.

The crowd cheers for Acid as Acid II stands on the outside, whatever he might be feeling being hidden by the mask.

As far as I'm concerned there's only one Acid now, and it's you.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid%20II_zpsypdlxdxp.jpg

Acid drops the microphone and signals for Acid II to come into the ring. Acid II slowly walks into the ring where his mentor waits holding out his hand, but Acid II instead picks up the microphone and turns to his mentor.

You think after six years of disrespect, of being your glorified sidekick we're just going to hug it out? You call yourself my mentor, but the only think you ever did was use me to help your own career. Even now on the biggest night of my career I beat you and you make it sound like you let me win, it's pathetic.

Acid II paused for a moment as the crowd boos, staring down his mentor.

You saw I was destined for great things, and you wanted to use me for your own gain. I mean what did the great Acid ever accomplish? He wrestled some matches for a garbage wrestling company? He won a few meaningless titles in Japan?

Anger is building in Acid's face as he is berated by his protege, but he remains silent as Acid II pauses, waiting for a response that isn't coming.

As far as I'm concerned all the name Acid represents is a broken down wrestler who never had what it takes to make it in the big leagues. You can have your name, because after tonight Acid II is dead, and only Toxin remains.

Acid II drops the microphone and exits the ring as both Acid and the crowd seem to be in shock. Acid slowly reaches down and picks up the microphone as the fans begin to chant for him, but after a few moments of staring he simply drops the microphone, leaves the ring, and walks to the back.

Cliff:
I can't believe that, Acid opened his heart for the first time and Acid II just spit in back his face!

Doc:
That's Toxin now Cliff, and I think it's about time Toxin wised up, this is a rough business and Acid's been using him for a long time.

Cliff:
But to belittle him and make light of all his accomplishments? Acid's had a fantastic career, he deserves better then that.

Doc:
That may be true, but on the topic of disrespect we're finally going to see Fumihira Ota get his comeuppance for disrespecting the A-List.

Cliff:
I wouldn't be so sure on that, Ota's got Samoan Destruction Inc on his side not to mention their mystery partner.

Doc:
He's probably bluffing, wasn't Sun Tzu's first rule of war never trust a Ninja?

  • The A-List make their way to the ring first, with Huey in particular in an agitated mood as he shouts that it doesn't matter who they pick, the A-List is the best there is.

  • Ota & Samoan Demolition make there way out next, and wait on the ramp signaling for their partner to enter.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Buddy%20Garner_zpswrgos7hv.jpg

  • Buddy Garner walks out and join's Ota and Samoan Destruction Inc on the stage! The former MMA and PGHW Legend walks gets a good reaction from the crowd as the confidence of the A-List is replaced with frantic discussion of how to deal with the new opponent.

  • Garner starts for his team, while the A-List seem to be having trouble deciding who to face Garner before Devine finally enters the ring.

  • Devine starts jawing with Garner, but eats a chop for his trouble that sends him reeling back to his corner where he immediately tags out to Benson who rushes in and is immediately taken to the mat and locked in an arm-wringer.

  • The early going of the match doesn't go much better for the A-List, but eventually an eye rake buys time to tag out and they begin methodically wearing down Samoan Machine in their corner.

  • The match goes back and forth, but the finish of the match happens as Ota & Grayson are the legal men, Ota takes Grayson down with a Ninja Strike (Running Enzuigiri) and goes up to the top rope, but Benny Benson intervenes and the match breaks down.

  • Samoan Demolition enter the ring and go for a double team powerbomb on Benson, but Devine & Cannonball are in to break it up.

  • Cannonball hits the Cannonball Run (High Speed Double Knee Strike) to Samoan Machine in one corner and goes to hit it on Rhino only to be nearly broken in half by a Rhino Charge (Spear) from Rhino Umaga.

  • Devine hits Rhino with a shuffle kick to the head of the kneeling big man before shoving him out of the ring. Seeing Ota getting to his feet he nails the “Super Ninja” with a Devine Dream Drop (Face Crusher) and pulls Grayson onto Ota, failing to notice that Garner made a blind tag!

  • Darryl turns to demand the ref count only to be locked in a Garner tendon hold, Devine is screaming in pain and tapping out, but the ref demands Garner break as Devine isn't the legal man.

  • The distraction gives Grayson time to recover and go up to the top rope, but before he can go for Shades of Grayson (Moonsault Press) Garner leaps to the top rope in a single bound and delivers a huge top rope suplex!

  • The impact shakes the ring, and Garner drags himself over, covering Grayson to get the three count.

Buddy Garner, Fumihira Ota, Samoan Machine, & Rhino Umaga defeated Benson Crane, Darryl Devine, Huey Cannonball, & Stephen Grayson in 21:12 when Garner pinned Grayson. (C+)

Doc:
And here I thought Garner was retired.

Cliff:
Did you see how he looked in there? He hasn't lost a step.

Doc:
Speaking of, the eight competitors in the Tag Team Ladder match are going to have to be on their toes to come out with a victory.

Cliff:
Nice transition Doc.

Doc:
That’s why you pay me the big bucks.

  • 2Fly and Going Coastal seem to be the fan favorites, with the arrogance of Rich & Famous and the more militant attitude of the American Cobras dividing fans.

  • A rollercoaster from start to finish, this match was full of wild, oftentime reckless spots with the ladders added to the already frenetic nature of the match.

  • Each team had their chance at victory throughout the match and are able to show off their own unique talents and styles.

  • The finish of the match came with Jackpot Jordan & Francesco Fernandes fighting it out in a ladder when the American Cobras pushed the ladder sending Jordan & Fernandes crashing onto their partners fighting on the outside.

With no one else in the ring Marvel began climbing the ring while Storm guarded him.

  • Brown tried to make the stop, but Storm rushed in to hold him off while Marvel inched closer to the top of the ladder, but suddenly from out of nowhere Amazing Fire Fly sprang off the ropes into a tremendous hurricanrana that sent Marvel tumbling onto Going Coastal and Rich & Famous on the outside!

  • The crowd is going craze, and the distraction of seeing his partner leaves Brown an opening to hit the Star Treatment (Fireman's Carry Facecrusher) that plants Storm on the mat.

  • With no one left standing Brown climbs the ladder, unhooks, and pulls down the belts to win the match!

  • Lenny Brown & Amazing Firefly celebrate in the ring, soaking in the cheers from the crowd.

2Fly defeat Going Coastal, Rich & Famous, & The American Cobras in 19:10. (B)

Cliff:
Against all odds the champions retain!

Doc:
But for how long? There's no shortage of competition in the tag division here in CZCW.

Cliff:
That's certainly true, and speaking of competition let's talk about Joshua Taylor and Frankie Perez.

Doc:
Hey your getting pretty good at these transitions yourself Cliff.

A video package plays hyping up the Cell match between Frankie Perez and Joshua Taylor. The package focuses on the backgrounds of the two competitors, and gives special attention to the controversial finish from their championship match that took place several months ago.

Frankie Perez © vs Joshua Taylor

  • Excitement builds among the fans as the Steel Cell descends on the ring, it's been years since the last such match and expectations are high for this one.

  • The challenger enters first, and the Challenger is out to a big reaction from the crowd as he makes his way down to the ring, looking focused and determined.

  • Frankie Perez is up next, and if anything the fans are even louder cheering in support of the champion. He runs his hands along the bars of the cage as he circles to leave his belt with the timekeeper before finally entering the ring, the door being locked behind him.

  • The Referee, whose only job is to count pinfalls and submissions, calls for the bell and the match is on as the two combatants immediately begin throwing strikes in the center of the ring.

  • Perez is renowned for his ultra-violent striking, but seems to have met his equal in Taylor's Japanese influenced precision strikes.

  • The challenger gets the upperhand with a series of teeth rattling European uppercuts, but Perez bounces off the ropes and comes back with a brutally stiff kick to the chest that doubles Taylor over but doesn't take him down.

  • There seems to be a lot of pride on the line as the two take turns hitting each other, each trying to prove they can withstand anything the other throws at them.

  • The two continue exchanging blows, but it is Perez who is first to falter with a forearm to the temple sending him wobbling to a knee.

  • Taylor wastes no time and immediately pounces of his prey, unloading on him with elbows before hoisting him up and hitting a beautiful butterfly backbreaker that gets a 2 count on the champion.

  • Perez rolls to the outside, but there is no quarter in this match and Taylor comes right after him, pushing him up against the cage and delivering a series of brutal knees to the mid-section of the champion as he's propped up.

  • Taylor pulls Perez back and throws him into the bars, but Perez is able to get a hand-up to stop it nail him with a high kick before sending Taylor face first into the cage.

  • Taylor is down, but Perez doesn't immediately capitalize, instead going around the ring before reaching under the apron and pulling out one of the smaller ladders from the previous match and leaning it up against the side of the cage.

  • Whatever Perez's plan was, we don't get to see it come to fruition as Taylor catches him from behind and smashes him head first into the steel steps. The shot seems to have busted Perez wide open, and seeing his opportunity Taylor rolls him back into the ring and begins targeting the champions with precision strikes to his cut.

  • Perez is now bleeding profusely as Taylor unloads on him before delivering a series of suplexes that send the champion crashing around the ring, but aren't enough to put him away for a 3 count.

  • Taylor has had enough, and drags Perez to the center of the ring before locking in the Butterfly Lock.

  • Perez is screaming in pain and bleeding profusely from the head and mouth, but refuses to submit as the referee looks on for any sign of a tap out.

  • Taylor screams at Perez to quit, and the champion responds by spitting blood in his challengers face, normally a DQ, but legal in this match. Taylor grabs at his face freeing Perez who capitalizes by struggling to his feet and nailing a spin kick that levels the challenger.

  • Both men are down and struggle to their feet simultaneously, Perez a crimson mask at this point. They continue where they started, trading strikes in the middle of the ring, but this time it's Perez who seems to be coming out on top, unloading on the challenger as if the sight of his own blood is cheering him on.

  • Perez smashes Taylor repeatedly with forearms until he's backed up into the ropes and begins teeing off on him with kicks to the chest.

  • With Taylor reeling Perez runs the ropes to gain momentum for a flying knee strike, but Taylor catches him in midair and throws him backwards onto the vary ladder Perez has positioned between the floor and cell wall!

  • There is a collective gasp from the audience, the commentators, and even the referee as Perez's body crashes through the ladder leaving him crumpled in the wreckage of the ladder.

  • The referee goes to check on Perez, but Taylor is having none of as he drags Perez's limp body into the ring and makes the cover. One, Two, Thre- Perez gets his shoulder up!

  • Taylor can't believe it, but lifts the bloodies and battered champion up into a Northern Lights Suplex. The referee counts again, but once more Perez manages to somehow kick out at the last moment.

  • Taylor has had enough and pulls Perez to his feet shouting that it's over before picking him up and holding him up in brainbuster position.

  • However in a brilliant reversal Perez Slips behind and grabs a sleeper around the neck! Taylor falls to the mat and Perez drives his knee into the challengers back turning it into his trademark P-Clutch (Modified Camel Clutch) right in the center of the ring.

  • Perez's blood is streaming down his face and all over the previously white mat, but there is fire in his eyes and he cranks back at the hold, screaming for Taylor to tap!

  • Taylor's hand quivers back and forth, but finally the pain is too much and he has no choice but to tap out!

Frankie Perez defeats Joshua Taylor via Submission in 28:43 (B)

Cliff:
My god, how is Perez still standing?

Doc:
I don't know, but we need doctors in there. I don't think either of these two will be the same after this.

The cage slowly rise as doctors rushed to the ring to examine the two men who had put each other through hell. Despite winning, Perez seems to be worse off as doctors call for a stretcher for the champion, but when it comes he refuses to be taken out like that and pushed doctors away as he struggles to his feet. Taylor seems shocked, but slowly manages to get to his feet and stumbles over to Perez offering a handshake. Perez pauses for a moment as if weighing his options, before taking his hand and grabbing his shoulder with the other hand; whatever words were exchanged being inaudible to the fans and viewers at home. After the handshake Taylor exited the ring and made his way to the back, leaving Perez to celebrate his victory.

Cliff:
Bloody, bruised, but unbroken, Frankie Perez is still our Coastal Zone Champion!

Doc:
Like him or hate him you have to respect his heart and determination there, I don't think I've seen anything like it before.

I have to agree with you there Doc. A fitting end to our fir-

The crowd erupts as none other then Sammy Bach, the Rock God himself, steps out onto the stage!

Bach soaks in the cheers and slowly makes his way down to ringside as the fans chant for the ex-TCW star. Despite his grueling match and injuries Perez remains as Bach enters the ring and poses for the fans in all four corners before finally stepping into the middle of the ring and facing off with the champion. Neither man backs an inch, but Perez slowly raises his championship as the show goes off the air with both men eyeing their opponent and the belt.

Now that I've put up my first real show I'd love to get some feedback on thoughts on the presentation and show as a whole. Any ideas for improvements?

I don't really have any plans for a real prediction contest or reward for accuracy, but I'll tally up the scores here anyway.

Predictions:

Unscrewed: 6/7

Jaysin: 4/7

SomeLazyMagic: 4/7

Smurphy1014: 3/7

RingRider: 3/7

Pteroid: 3/7

MisterRomani: 3/7

Nobody picked Oleg to win the International Tournament which I can understand since he isn't exactly a CZCW style of worker, but I have plans for him and my vision of the company has them becoming a bit more diverse in terms of styles since they've grown in popularity and are looking to appeal to a wider audience.

I will post prediction cards for TV shows, and I'm planning to generally list all the matches in advance even if some of them are set up by angles during the show itself and wouldn't actually be advertised ahead of time.

Easy to read, don't change a thing. Agree with MHero, the Acid/Toxin post match interaction was outstanding.
