"Lose Yourself: Coast to Coast" (Eminem/Elliot Smith Mashup) would be a great theme song or something. Bring those 2000s-esque Rap/Rock Smackdown vibe.

I always seem to get pilfered with CZCW and lose anyone good within a few months, so I seem to stagnate pretty quick -- so far, it looks great. Definitely digging the "stables" -- most of the workers seem like great fits, and the backstory was great.

CZCW Coast to Coast

Thursday, Week 1 May, 2016

8,424 Fans in Attendance

The TV show opens with a recap of Welcome to the Coastal Zone with highlights and still shots of all the major matches and angles, culminating in Sammy Bach's debut at the end of the show.

Cliff:
Hello and Welcome back to CZCW Coast to Coast! Welcome to the Coastal Zone was historic for many reasons, not only was it our first ever nationally broadcast PPV; it was a night of shocks and surprises culminating in Sammy Bach's return to the Zone after a twelve year absence!

Doc:
That's right, last night we saw a brutal championship bought between our champion Frankie Perez and his challenger Joshua Thomas. Both men gave it there all, but it was Frankie who came out victorious; though not without a price. Both men took a hell of a beating and won't be here tonight.

Cliff:
A great victory for Perez, but being a champion means you're never short of challengers, and based on Bach's arrival one can only assume the former CZCW champ is here to win the title once more!

Doc:
We won't need to speculate much longer Cliff, because Bach is in the building and has promised to come out to address the crowd later tonight.

The A-List vs Capitao Brasil, Fro Sure and Hawaiian Waves

  • The A-List seemed to be in a foul mood after their defeat at the PPV, and took it out on there opponents, jumping them before the bell had even rung.

  • The A-list would dominate for most of the match, isolating their opponents on there side of the ring and picking them apart with vicious pack tactics.

  • Their opponents would make a comeback after Fro Sure escaped the Cannonball Run (Running Double Knees in the Corner) and made the hot tag to James Aukai.

  • Aukai cleared house on all 4 members of A-List, but walked right into a Shockwave from Next Year (Leaping Enzuigiri) from Benson Crane who covered him for the three count.

Benson Crane, Darryl Devine, Huey Cannonball, & Stephen Grayson defeated Capitao Brasil, Fro Sure, James Aukai, and Simon Waves via Pinfall in 12:11 (C+)

Doc:
The A-List work together so well. They might have had an off night at the PPV, but tonight they show why there the cream of the crop in CZCW

Cliff:
There's no denying the A-List's talent, but right now Dread is in the ring. Let's see what the commissioner has to say.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Oleg%20Dorosklov_zps6ndcrdqx.jpg

Dread is in the ring with a microphone, Oleg Dorokslov standing beside him proudly holding the International Cup Trophy.

For the past two months we have had competitors from across the globe competing inside our ring to prove their skill, determination, and will to succeed. Last night was the culmination of those efforts, and I am proud to present the winner of the inaugural International Cup: The "Ukrainian Terminator" Oleg Dorokslov!

Dread passes the microphone to Oleg, who raises it and barks out his response in semi-fluent English.

I am the best technician on planet. There is only one I want to fight, I want Garner!

Oleg's challenge gets a good reaction from the crowd, but Dread takes back the microphone and addresses the Ukrainian.

You can have that match, but you'll have to wait to Surf Slam. You see I've got another opponent for you tonight, but he too is a master of the mat. Tonight you'll go one on one with "Suicidal" Flemmy Lemming!

Oleg Dorokslov vs Flemmy Lemming

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Oleg%20Dorosklov_zps6ndcrdqx.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Alumni%20and%20Loaned%20Wrestlers/Flemmy%20Lemming_zpsddjt8hns.jpg

  • Flemmy Lemming gets a decent reaction from the crowd as he comes out; having apparently decided to forgo the face paint for his match tonight.

  • As one would expect this match is a highly technical mat battle, with both competitors showing the range and fluidity of their skills.

  • The match goes back and forth, but in the end Dorokslov's technical mastery is too much for his smaller opponent, forcing Flemmy to tap out to the Cross Armlock.

Oleg Dorokslov defeats Flemmy Lemming via Submission in 10:12 ©

Cliff:
Another impressive showing display from Oleg Dorokslov. He just looks unbeatable on the mat, but if there's anyone who can trade holds with him it would be Buddy Garner.

Doc:
Garner reputation is well earned, but he isn't as young as he once was and Oleg is a freak athlete. Once mistake is all it takes for either one off those two to lock in a submission.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Xavi%20Ferrera_zpsfery1i6z.jpg

Elliot Thomas is out next, and the Xtreme Champion get a good reaction, slapping hands with the crowd before entering the ring and waiting to see who his opponent will be. It's Xavi Ferrera whose music hits, but oddly he asks it to be cut almost immediately as he has a microphone in hand as he cuts a promo on his way to the ring.

You and all these fans know that the only reason you've been bringing in opponents from overseas is because your afraid to fight me again. You may have beat me once, but this time I got your number and finally commisioner Dread granted me a shot. Now you know I'm the real-

Xavi is cut off as Thomas grabs the microphone out of his hand much to the crowds delight.

Shut up and fight me.

Annoyed, Xavi throws down the mic and tries to sucker punch the champ, but Thomas dodges and the bell rings for the match to begin.

Xtreme Championship Match

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Xavi%20Ferrera_zpsfery1i6z.jpg

  • Elliot Thomas controls the match early; keeping Xavi off balance with some fast paced offense before sending him to the floor and wiping him out with a dive to the outside.

  • Thomas rolls Ferrera back into the ring, however the cocky youngster is able to recover and is able to get his knees up as Thomas goes for a springboard senton.

  • Ferrera takes control of the match for the next few minutes, keeping the high flyer grounded and cutting off Thomas's rallies with some nice high impact offense.

  • Having wrestled each other a handful of times, Thomas is able to reverse Xavi's Ferrerarana (Modified Hurricanrana) and plant him with a facebuster before hitting the Quiet Down (Triple Jump Moonsault) which nets him the three count.

Elliot Thomas defeats Xavi Ferrera via Pinfall in 13:40 (C+)

Cliff:
Xavi nearly had the victory, but ET makes his 13th title defense.

Doc:
He may not be the most flamboyant personality on the roster, but Thomas always gets the job done.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Matt%20Sparrow_T4_alt1_zpsy3amr9mv.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kirk%20Jameson_altCamoflague_zpsz0yatgnf.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Air%20Attack%20Weasel_zpsvx1idvxb.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Guide_zpsphlbgqv9.jpg

Matt Sparrow comes out on the ramp with his right foot in a boot and walking on crutches, the announcers seem baffled by the injury. Sparrow pays no attention to the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp, and with some assistance from the referee gets into the ring where he asks for a microphone.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have come out tonight to formally apologize to you and to my partner Air Attack Weasel about what happened at Going Coastal. You see during the course of the match I suffered an ankle injury and though I tried to overcome the pain and injury I was unable to compete to my best and couldn't save my partner from the 2 on 1 assault in the ring.

The crowd boos as Cliff points out that Sparrow seemed fine when he was walking up the back. Doc on the other hand praised Sparrow for not wanting to show the fans his injuries and chastises Cliff for doubting Sparrow.

After the show I was examined by my doctor who informed me I had suffered a type 5 Meta-Carsal tear in my lower Achilles. Unfortunately I will be unable to compete in any matches for the foreseeable future, but I promise you I will be working day in and day out to get better and return to the ring.

The crowd continue to boo at Sparrow's faux apology as Sparrow takes a moment to wipe his eyes after his "heartfelt" speech.

Believe me, this hurts me as much as-

Sparrow is interrupted as Marksman comes out from the back and runs down to the ring, hell bent on getting after the man who put him out of action for over a month. Sparrow backs into the corner, pulling the Referee in front of him as a human shield as Marksman advances on him.

You wouldn't attack a injured, defenseless man would you?

Marksman pulls the referee aside, but Air Attack Weasel jumps out from the Audience and into the ring blindsiding Marksman. The two brawl and Marksman seems to be getting the better of it before Sparrow cracks him across the back with a crutch; screaming at Weasel to teach him a lesson.

The two on one assault continues until Guide rushes down to the ring, and all hell breaks lose before the show heads to a commercial. When the show comes back Marksman and Sparrow are gone, and it's announced that Guide & Weasel have been booked in a match.

Air Attack Weasel vs Guide

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Air%20Attack%20Weasel_zpsvx1idvxb.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Guide_zpsphlbgqv9.jpg

  • A good match that goes back and forth with Guide generally getting the upper-hand until Air Attack Weasel uses his cunning to get back into the match.

  • Weasel seems to have picked up a thing or two from Sparrow in there short time together, and uses every trick in the book against his opponent: raking the eyes, using the ropes for leverage, and any other trick you can name to get an advantage.

  • Weasel nearly gets the win after slipping out of a Guided Missile (Northern Lights Bomb) and turning it into a victory roll, but the referee notices Weasel pulling the tights and chastises him.

  • Weasel protests innocence to the referee, but Guide capitalizes on the momentary distraction to roll Weasel up from behind, scoring the three count!

Guide defeated Air Attack Weasel in 17:39 via Pinfall. (B)

Cliff:
Score another victory for Next Wave, but something tells me that this is far from over.

Doc:
As far as I'm concerned the referee committed a robbery right there, Weasel only had to grab the tights because Guide had oiled himself up!

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Sammy%20Bach_T4_alt1_zpsoyf9ax5m.jpg

The crowd erupts as Sammy Bach's music hits, and the newly debuted star makes his way to the entry ramp; taking his time posing for the crowd and taking in the cheers before finally grabbing a microphone and entering the ring.

Did you miss me?

Bach smirks as the crowd cheers and chants of "Bach! Bach! Bach!" echo across the arena.

Twelve years huh? There are a few more of you then I remember, but don't worry I'm back in living color and here to stay. For the past few years there's been this buzz and talk about a little company based out of SoCal where the best wrestlers in the world gathered to put on brilliant matches, a little place called CZCW.

Bach pauses to look out at the cheering crowd for a moment before continuing.

So when my contract with TCW was coming up I faced a dilemma, you see Cornell and Eisen were both begging for my signature. Hell even good old uncle Sam broke out his pocketbook for the Elation Sensation. The thing is, there's only one stage big enough for me, and that's right here in the Coastal Zone!

The crowd cheers, with a dueling chant breaking out for both CZCW and Bach.

Now I'm seeing some familiar faces, Joshua Taylor, Guide, and let's not forget good old Cliff himself; I'd recognize that mustache anywhere. However the one guy who intrigues me more than anyone else is Frankie Perez. If he can beat Joshua Taylor, well then I wonder just how he would measure up against a Rock God?

Bach smirks as the crowd cheers, but before he can continue he is cut off as Jonnie Perez's music plays and the youngster walks out looking none too happy.

You've got some nerve to walk in and ask for a title match with the champion. It's a slap in the face to everyone who's busted there ass for CZCW for you to walk in and get a shot at Frankie, who's spent eleven years carrying this company on his back. You see it doesn't matter who you are or what you done; here in the Coastal Zone you have to earn your shot.

There is a mixed reaction to Jonnie, but Sammy Bach doesn't looked bothered as he pauses before continuing.

I have to earn my title shot huh? Then how about you step into the ring right now. Who better to use for warm-up then Frankie Jr?

The last line seems to strike a nerve, and Jonnie doesn't hesitate before accepting the challenge and heading down to the ring.

Sammy Bach vs Jonnie Perez

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Sammy%20Bach_alt1_zpsuqoswsd6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jonnie%20Perez_zps0btmgiw4.jpg

  • Jonnie came into the match hot, going right after the new signing and getting the better of the initial exchanges.

  • Bach however stayed cool, and capitalized on a mistake when the youngster tried for a dive to the outside and Sammy casually stepped aside leaving Jonnie to crash and burn on the mats.

  • It was all Bach from that point on in the match, but stubbornly Jonnie refused to stay down for a three count.

  • Bach looked to end things when he went to the top rope to set up the Adrenaline Shot (Top Rope Flip Neckbreaker), but Jonnie cut him off with a kick that sent the veteran tumbling to the outside.

  • Waiting for his opponent to get to his feet, Jonnie teased a dive to the outside that sent Bach ducking out of the way only to turn it into a beautiful Asai Moonsault to the outside that wiped out Bach and had the crowd chanting for Jonnie.

  • Sensing victory, Perez rolled Bach into the ring but could only get a two count.

  • Frustrated, the Dirty Dog pulled Bach to his feet and went for his Dirty Dog DDT (Triple-Jump Tornado DDT) but Bach rushed forward managing to duck under Perez before leaping to the top rope himself.

  • Jonnie landed on his feet, and turned around only to be hit with a beautiful Adrenaline Shot (Top Rope Flip Neckbreaker) that finally put down the youngster for a three count.

Sammy Bach defeats Jonnie Perez in 16:10 via Pinfall (B)

The show goes off the air with Cliff & Doc wishing the viewers well as Bach celebrates his hard fought victory in the ring.

I like the song, but I feel like if I start adding music I'll want to start looking for intro songs for each wrestler and god help me if that happens because writing these shows is long enough as it is. :p

Losing all your top stars is something that you have to accept as CZCW. I lost Donnie J, Fox Mask, Marc Speed, Masked Cougar, and Remmy Skye in the course of less then a month due to TCW going on a hiring spree this game, so I know the feeling. I think that's part of the reason I've been so gung-ho on stealing away stars from SWF and TCW now that I'm at cult size.

Prediction Scores:

Unscrewed: 5/5

Jaysin: 5/5

Smurphy: 5/5

CobheadJake: 5/5

MisterRomani: 5/5

KnowYourEnemy: 5/5

Well every single predictor got each match outcome correct, but I don't consider that to be too big a deal since it's just TV and it's primarily there to drive interest in the PPVs. Hopefully the next one will be slightly less predictable.

Elliot Thomas vs Koji Kojima

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Alumni%20and%20Loaned%20Wrestlers/Koji%20Kojima_zpsudcevvtr.jpg

  • "The Silent Assassin" Koji Kojima is the mystery opponent for Elliot Thomas. The WLW founder gets a good reaction despite having never before worked in the United States; having played a big part in and out of the ring in WLW's rise to be one of Japan's Big Four alongside BHOTWG, PGHW, and the revitalized GCG.

  • The match is something of a showcase for just how much Kojima's style has changed over the years, as he has moved from typical high flyer to a vicious striker, working over Thomas's ribs with hard kicks.

  • Indeed it's the veteran who seems to have the edge through most of the match, with the announcers pointing out that defending his belt in grueling championship matches week in and week out has to be taking a toll on Thomas.

  • The finish sees Kojima roll out of the way of a Quiet Down (Triple Jump Moonsault) and go for a Yakuza Kick in the corner, but Thomas ducks under and rolls up the veteran, managing to just barely keep his shoulders on the mat for a three count.

Elliot Thomas defeats Koji Kojima via Pinfall in 15:12 (C+)

Kojima is unhappy with his loss, but shakes hands with Thomas as a sign of respect and raised the champion's hand to acknowledge his victory before leaving the ring and heading to the back. For his part Thomas celebrates his victory, but is clearly in pain and is holding his side as he leaves the ring.

Rich and Famous vs Reckless Youth

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jackpot%20Jordan_zpsfkkrxu35.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jake%20Idol_zpsgxwfnres.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kamikaze_zpsqsefclyy.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Kid%20Fantastic_zpstnulylrg.jpg

  • Rich & Famous are less then impressed by their opponents, with Idol in particular using his size to bully the debuting Kid Fantastic and arrogantly taunt them.

  • However as the match continues it's the veterans who seem to be having trouble keeping up with the brilliant high flying of their opponents.

  • The finish sees Kamikaze counter a Cash In (Leaping Neckbreaker) from Jackpot Jordan with a drop kick before going to the top rope himself.

  • Kamikaze goes for his signature Reverse 450 Splash, but from outside of the ring Idol pulls his partner to safety leaving Kamikaze to crash and burn before Idol seals the deal by hitting the Reality Check (Neckbreaker) and getting the pin.

Jackpot Jordan & Jake Idol defeated Kamikaze & Kid Fantastic via Pinfall in 6:23. (C-)

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jackpot%20Jordan_zpsfkkrxu35.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jake%20Idol_zpsgxwfnres.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Willow_zpszhcjr7iq.jpg

After the match Jordan unceremoniously pushes Kamikaze out of the ring as Willow enters the ring with a microphone and hands him a microphone. Idol shouts at the fans to be quiet and listen to a real star before Jordan begins talking.

Four time tag team champions, most combined Title Defenses of any team in the history of CZCW. It's an indisputable fact that we are the greatest team this company has ever seen.

Jordan passes the microphone to Idol, who continues where his partner left off.

Yet do we get any respect? No. tonight we get put up against some no-name rookies when we should be competing for the titles! In fact, we aren't going to leave this ring until we get added to the title match, so Commish' why don't you come out and do whats right for business.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpg

There is a pause as Rich & Famous stall in the ring, but eventually Dread makes his way onto the entry ramp and addresses the pair inside the ring.

I have great respect for all you boys have done here in CZCW, but unfortunately I can't grant you your request. You see I've already found some special opponents for a team of your caliber at Surf Slam.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Rhino%20Umaga_zpsswte1hh7.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Samoan%20Machine_zps0d5lzajg.jpg

Rich & Famous are confused until Samoan Destruction Inc's music hits and the powerhouse duo walk out onto the stage, pausing behind Dread as they wait for him to continue.

Now I tell you what, if you can win at the PPV then you'll get your shot at the titles, but I've got a show to run, so if you don't get out of the ring in the next ten seconds I'm going to let Samoan Destruction Inc come down there and have that match right now!

Samoan Destruction begin pacing down toward the ring, but before they can enter Rich & Famous, along with Willow, bail outside as the crowd boos their decision not to give them the match tonight.

Buddy Garner vs Austin Smooth

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Buddy%20Garner_zpswrgos7hv.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Austin%20Smooth_zpsr16af7ya.jpg

  • This looked like a mismatch on paper, but the youngster proved surprisingly game against the MMA and PGHW legend.

  • There were some fantastic mat exchanges, as Smooth showed off just how good he is technically by going toe to toe with the always excellent Garner.

  • However Garner proved just how dangerous a submission wrestler he is by reversing into a Garner Tendon Hold out of nowhere and forcing a tap out. ©

Buddy Garner defeats Austin Smooth via Submission in 7:15

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Hailey%20Booke_zps1rdfbzvo.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Lenny%20Brown_zpsjeqnaku9.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Amazing%20Fire%20Fly_zpsxuh55ze3.jpg

The Cameras cut backstage where Hailey Brooke is waiting with a microphone outside 2Fly's locker room. She knocks on the door and enters where Lenny Brown and Amazing Firefly are waiting.

Excuse me, Lenny, Fire Fly, can I get a word?

We've always got time for you girl, now what can we do for you?

Brown gives Booke a wink, and she seems slightly flustered and has to look away before continuing.

Tonight we'll see a number one contenders match between the American Cobras and Freedom Force, who would you prefer to face?

Booke turns to Amazing Fire Fly who doesn't quite seem to be expecting this and mumbles a bit before continuing.

Cobras big Jerks, I hope Freedom Force beat them good.

I'll be rooting for The Cobras, you see last week they thought they take us out with an attack from behind. We've got a score to settle, and if they win then they're going to find out just what makes this brotha' so bad.

Thanks for the time, but we've got to go to a break; stay tuned for more Coastal Zone action when we return!

There is a slight delay before the exit, Booke smiles for the cameras as Amazing Fire Fly is confused and asks whats going on, Brown clues him that they're still on air and Fire Fly awkwardly smiles in a similar fashion to Booke causing Brown to start laughing before it finally cuts to commercials.

Toxin vs La Sombra Jr

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid%20II_Toxin_zpsfcd7zicz.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/La%20Sombra_zps0dzaot75.jpg

  • Toxin again shows off his new ring style, having changed up many of his signature moves.

  • That being said he's in for a bigger challenge this time as La Sombra is a seasoned competitor, and is able to keep up with Toxin turning it into a back and forth match.

  • La Sombra almost gets the win with a La Sombra Cradle (La Magistral), but Toxin jabs him in the eye as the referee is moving down to count; missing the blatant cheating.

  • La Sombra Jr stumbles back, blinded, and Toxin doesn't hesitate to capitalize, nailing him with the Antidote (Omega Driver) and getting the three count.

Toxin defeats La Sombra via Pinfall in 10:09 (C+)

Toxin poses in the ring celebrating his victory as the fans boo and chant for Acid. Despite the pleas there is no response as Toxin eventually leaves the ring and the shows goes to commercial.

American Cobras vs Freedom Force

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Marvel%20Malloy_T4_alt1_zpsp6oblerx.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Storm%20Spillane_T4_alt1_zpsq3ygznj7.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Masked%20Patriot_zpsojtswro6.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/The%20American%20Flash_zpsnvgyug3s.jpg

  • With a title shot at the PPV on the line both teams brought their A-Games, and the match would go back and forth with neither team having a clear edge.

  • With a title shot at the PPV on the line both teams brought their A-Games, and the match would go back and forth with neither team having a clear edge.

  • The Cobras have the edge in team experience however, and manage to isolate and work over the smaller American Flash with double teams and martial arts strikes.

  • Flash is able to eventually get a hot tag to masked patriot, and his bigger partner makes a fiery comeback against both men.

  • Masked Patriot goes for the Patriot Slam (Fireman's Carry Whiplash Slam) on Marvel, but Storm clips his knee from behind. With Patriot down on his knees Marvel & Storm hit the Cobra Strike (Dual Headkicks) and Marvel makes the cover while Storm keeps American Flash at bay.

Marvel & Storm defeat Masked Patriot & The American Flash via Pinfall in 13:10 (C+)

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Darryl%20Devine_zpsmy0erkvt.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Stevie%20Grayson_alt2_zps3cva40mp.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elmo%20Benson_alt1_zps7emdc9wq.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Huey%20Cannonball_zpskcjmjrjw.jpg

Backstage we go to the A-List locker-room where the group is assembled. Darryl Devine seems to be giving a last minute pep-talk as they prepare for their match.

Last week we were humiliated. I should be in the main event title match, but instead Sammy Bach is there, all because you dropped the ball.

Devine paces back and forth before pausing by Stephen Grayson and staring him in the eyes.

Tonight we have a chance for redemption. No more excuses, no more disappointments, Taylor & Ota have been a thorn in our sides long enough and tonight we're going to make an example of them. Let's get out there and show them why we're A-List and they're not!

The A-List leave the locker-room and head to the ring as the camera cuts back to the arena in preparation for the main event.

Darryl Devine & Stephen Grayson vs Joshua Taylor & Fumihira Ota

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Darryl%20Devine_zpsmy0erkvt.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Stevie%20Grayson_alt2_zps3cva40mp.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Joshua%20Taylor_zpsc7rosqie.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Fumihiro%20Ota_alt2_zpscpufmtuj.jpg

  • Benson Crane & Huey Cannonball come down to ringside to support their partners, but are ejected early on in the match after Huey gets on the apron to distract the referee.

  • Despite their allies ejection the A-List control much of the match with Grayson in particular looking in sharp form, perhaps spurred on by Devine's pre-match speech.

  • The match hits the twenty minute mark with neither side being able to put the other away. There is some miscommunication as Devine blind tags in only to be locked into the Butterfly Lock, but Grayson is able break it up by booting Taylor in the head before Ota intervenes and they both go tumbling to the outside.

  • Taylor is dazed, and Devine is able to hit the Devine Dream Drop (Modified Face Crusher) and make the cover. The referee begins to count, but Devine never sees Ota enter the ring ring and gets nailed in the back of the head with a Ninja Strike (Running Enzuigiri)!

  • Taylor rolls over and covers Devine, Grayson scrambles in to break it up but is a fraction of a second too late as the Referee's hand hits the mat for the three count.

Joshua Taylor & Fumihira Ota defeat Darryl Devine & Stephen Grayson via Pinfall in 22:00 (B)

Taylor & Ota celebrate in the ring while Grayson tends to the still prone Devine as the show goes off the air.

Prediction Scores:

CobheadJake: 6/7

Nice call with Koji Kojima. He seems to be having a bit of a career renaissance in WLW as he's not yet in decline despite passing 40.

MisterRomani: 4/7

While I like Reckless youth would have been a huge jump to put them over Rich & Famous so soon.

Ring Rider: 5/7

I like Awesome Thunder, but he actually retired a few months ago in my game so I couldn't have brought him over. I'm hoping an Awesome Thunder II might pop up in Japan.

KnowYourEnemy - 5/7

I can't think of anything else to say, but thanks for the prediction :p

CZCW Coast to Coast

Thursday, Week 4 May, 2016

8,945 Fans in Attendance

The announcers begin their show introductions as usual; hyping up that both Frankie Perez and Sammy Bach will be competing tonight, in special pick your poison matches that were announced online earlier in the week.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Frankie%20Perez_zpswestdc2h.jpg

The audience erupts as Frankie Perez makes his first televised appearance since his brutal cage match against Joshua Taylor at the PPV. The champion makes his way down to the ring with the belt on his shoulder and spends a moment posing with it in the ring before grabbing a microphone and getting down to business.

Let me get one thing out of the way. Joshua Taylor, you're the toughest bastard I've ever fought. You gave me 24 Stitches, a dislocated elbow, and Bruised Ribs, but I'm still standing!

The fans began chanting 'Frankie' as Perez pauses and gives a slight smirk before turning serious once more..

You see there's no way in hell I'm going to miss Surf Slam. I may not like a lot of guys in the locker room, but I sure as hell respect them; with one exception and that's Sammy Bach.

There is a mixed reaction, and some of the fans began chanting Bach, while others cheer for Frankie.

You see Going Coastal was my moment. It took everything I had to win that match, but at the end of the night Sammy Bach comes in like a leech to feed off the blood I spilled for this championship! You think you're going to take this championship? Over my dead body cabron!

Perez started off calm, but at the end is shouting with fiery passion. Before he can say anything more Bach's music hits and the 'Elation Sensation' comes out onto the stage with a microphone of his own.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Sammy%20Bach_T4_alt1_zpsoyf9ax5m.jpg

Frankie, Frankie, Frankie, you're a great champion, but you seem a bit confused. You say I haven't done anything in CZCW? I was CZCW while you were only dreaming of being a wrestler. I've held that championship before, and come Monday I'll be holding it again, because I'm Sammy goddamn Bach and that's all the reason I need.

Bach smirks as Frankie Perez is clearly irked by his comments, finally raising his microphone to give a response, but this time it's calm and cold rather then the fiery passion he showed earlier.

I went through hell to keep my title at Welcome to the Coastal Zone, I recieved and inflicted the kind of damage that shortens careers. Joshua Taylor spent 6 months beating everyone in front of him to get a shot at the title, I respect him, hell I kind of like him but when it comes to this title that friendship, respect, and everything else is secondary.

You Sammy? I don't like you. I don't respect you. If I'm willing to put myself through hell to beat someone I respect then what do you think I'll do to beat you? Think about that Sammy.

The crowd is still split, but Frankie seems to have won over the majority as they cheer him. Bach doesn't seem disturbed, and smiles at Perez's threats before continuing.

I'll look forward to it Frankie, but remember one thing. I'm not Joshua Taylor, and all the research in the world won't prepare you for a match with me. Then again maybe you should worry about making it to the PPV, because I've got a surprise for you later tonight. See you then Frankie.

Bach smiles then drops the mic and slowly backs up the ramp as Frankie Perez stares him down from the ring; the announcers hyping their upcoming match up as the show goes to commercial.

Buddy Garner & Samoan Destruction Inc. vs Oleg Dorokslov & Rich and Famous

  • Having been set up as a PPV preview match the teams were somewhat odd, though Garner & Samoan Destruction Inc. seemed to be on the same page having wrestled together to beat the A-list on the last PPV.

  • The teamwork proved the difference as Dorokslov seemed to be on a different page then Rich & Famous for much of the match.

  • Garner & Dorokslov's technical work stood out for it's excellence, but the tag team rules negated it to an extent as their partners were able to break things up whenever one looked in danger.

  • The finish saw Rhino go for his Rhino Charge (Spear) on Idol, but Idol booted him right in the groin for what would have been a blatant DQ had the referee not been distracted by their partners brawling on the outside.

  • Idol got a three count before bailing outside to celebrate their ill-gotten victory while Samoan Destruction Inc. fumed inside the ring.

The show comes back from a commercial break with Marksman in the ring with a microphone, his music cutting as he raised the microphone to speak.

I'm not in the mood to talk so I'll make this quick. Matt Sparrow you dropped me head first on the concrete and tried to break my neck. I'm going to get you one way or another, so why don't you come out here and face me one on one like a man.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Matt%20Sparrow_T4_alt1_zpsy3amr9mv.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Air%20Attack%20Weasel_zpsvx1idvxb.jpg

Matt Sparrow limps out to the entry ramp; his foot still in a boot. Air Attack Weasel lurks behind him and passes a microphone to Sparrow once they are on the entry ramp looking down at the ring.

As much as I would love to fight you, it's not going to happen. As you can see I'm not cleared to wrestle, and need I remind you that assaulting a helpless wrestler is a major offence.

Sparrow gives a smarmy smile as Cliff goes off on his hypocrisy on commentary, pointing out that Sparrow himself was suspended for doing that to Marksman in the first place.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpg

The conversation is interrupted as Commissioner Dread walks out from the back and onto the stage walking down next to Sparrow and looking him up and down.

Unfortunately you're correct Sparrow, we have strict policies in CZCW and cannot put a competitor in a match if they are not medically cleared to compete.

Sparrow smiles cockily as the crowd boos the announcement. Dread waits for the crowd to quiet before continuing to speak.

However, I just got a report from our own doctors evaluation that says you're cleared to wrestle. In fact he seemed to be unable to find any signs that you were injured in the first place. So tell you what Sparrow; tonight you and your partner will team up with 2Fly to take on the Cobra Asssault Squad in an eight man tag team match!

The crowd cheers this announcement as Sparrow shouts that this is unfair and he's not ready to compete.

I know this is short notice Sparrow, but given your habit of walking out on matches I can't help but think a little stipulation should be added. Whoever wins the tag match tonight will be able to name a stipulation for the singles match at the PPV, so I'd suggest you get ready for your match.

This gets even more cheers for the crowd as Sparrow can only protest impotently; the limp he displayed earlier having miraculously vanished as he and Weasel skulk to the back before the show heads to commercial.

Elliot Thomas vs Toxin

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Elliot%20Thomas_zpspck1i3wc.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid%20II_Toxin_zpsfcd7zicz.jpg

  • Elliot Thomas's ribs are taped up as a result of his match with Koji Kojima last week, and Toxin doesn't hesitate to go after the injury as he targets the midsection with strikes.

  • Toxin controls the majority of the match, with Thomas getting brief comebacks only to be stopped as Toxin cuts him off with shots to his injured chest.

  • Thomas shows heart as he keeps kicking out, and manages to fight through the Acidity Test (Death Lock STF) but Thomas manages to escape as Toxin doesn't seem to quite have it locked as tight as his mentor uses.

  • Frustrated, Toxin goes outside to grab a chair as the referee admonishes him, but before he can use it Thomas hits a dropkick.

  • Thomas climbs to the top rope and leaps off going for a double ax handle on Toxin, but Toxin sprays the Toxic Mist in his face blinding him and sending him crashing to the mat.

  • The referee has no choice but to call for the Disqualification as the crowd chants bullshit, unhappy with the finish.

Elliot Thomas defeated Toxin in 10:09 via Disqualification (D)

Toxin seems unconcerned about his loss, and grabs the chair, shoving away the referee when he tries to stop him. He stalks Thomas as the Xtreme champion stumbles to his feet before hitting the still blinded Thomas with a wicked chair shot to his injured ribs. Thomas collapses to the mat writhing in pain as Toxin looks over his work.

Toxin turns to leave, but then turns back and gives Thomas another vicious kick to the ribs before dropping the chair on his chest and then climbing to the ropes and signals for the Acid Bomb.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Acid_alt2_zpsi41sfdlr.jpg

Toxin stops dead in his tracks as Acid's music hits and the crowd erupts as the now unmasked man sprints to the ring! Toxin grabs the chair, but Acid hits him with a dropkick and leaps on his former protege, unloading on Toxin with punches and kicks while Toxin struggles to defend himself.

Acid gets up and grabs the steel chair, but Toxin has recovered enough to scramble out of the ring and back up the ramp; wanting nothing to do with his mentor. Acid poses in the ring as the fans chant his name, eventually grabbing a microphone and addressing Toxin who's retreated up the ramp.

You think my career is worthless? Well you're going to get a history lesson because at Surf-Slam it's going to be a DAVE rules match!

Acid raise the steel chair in the air as the crowd give dueling chants of "Acid" and "DAVE" as Toxin continues backing up the ramp.

2Fly & Animal Instincts vs The American Cobras & Next Wave

  • With four great tag teams in one match this was a fast paced back and forth affair; even Matt Sparrow was willing to get in on the action given the stipulations on the line.

  • However as the match progressed it became apparent that Next Wave & The American Cobras were on the same page, while 2Fly & Animal Instincts seemed not to have any desire to work together, only tagging their own partners and not really working as a team.

  • The finish of the match came after it had broken down and all eight men were in the ring hitting big moves; culminating in Guide hitting Amazing Fire Fly with the Guided Missile (Northern Lights Bomb) and the Cobras seal the deal with a Cobra Strike (Dual Headkicks) on Lenny Brown for the win.

Marvel, Storm, Guide & Marksman defeated Amazing Fire Fly, Lenny Brown, Air Attack Weasel & Lenny Brown via Pinfall in 18:10 (B-)

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Non-Wrestlers/Dread_alt2_zpsnvzd0xmm.jpg

Dread is in the ring with a microphone as the show comes back from commercial.

For the main event of tonight's show we have two special "Pick your Poison" matches featuring Frankie Perez and Sammy Bach facing opponents of the others choice.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Frankie%20Perez_zpswestdc2h.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jonnie%20Perez_zps0btmgiw4.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/California%20Love%20Machine_zpslbq9ttan.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Frankie-Boy%20Fernandes_T4_alt5_zps67ehj98a.jpg

Frankie Perez is out first, alongside his brother Jonnie and friends California Love Machine & Francesco Fernandez. The announcers speculate which of the three Frankie might pick to face Bach as they enter the ring.

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Sammy%20Bach_T4_alt1_zpsoyf9ax5m.jpg

Bach comes out alone and walks down to the ring as the announcers speculating on who the special opponent Bach picked to face Frankie might be.

Alright, now lets get down to business. Frankie, who have you chosen to face Sammy Bach tonight?.

Frankie turns to his accomplices and begins to address them in turn starting with Jonnie.

Jonnie, you know I always count on you to have my back and give it all in the ring. However you fought Bach once already, so I'm not choosing you tonight.

Jonnie nods in acceptance, evidently having expected this going in. Frankie then turns to Francesco Fernandes and California Love Machine.

Frankie Boy you've come a long way since you started. You've got heart and you've got fire, but CLM has the experience, and tonight I'm picking him.

California Love Machine nods in acceptance, but Francesco Fernandes seems a bit upset; either at not being chosen or being addressed as "Frankie-Boy" by Perez.

Alright Bach, name my opponent and I'll fight them right now. I don't care who you brought in, I'll fight them and I'll beat them.

I'm glad your eager Frankie because your opponent is someone whose talents I've experienced first hand, and it's someone you've never faced before one on one. Let me introduce you to your opponent tonight!

Sammy Bach points to the back as the announcers and crowd await his opponent, but there is a pause for a few moments before a smile creeps across Bach Faces and he slowly moves his hand to point towards his opponents across the ring.

JONNIE PEREZ!!!

Perez and the Announcers are shocked by the announcement. Doc points out the Bach wasn't lying since Jonnie was his first opponent in CZCW and that Frankie and Jonnie have never wrestled each other. Frankie seems initially reluctant, but after a brief argument with his younger brother he seems to have come to an agreement.

As the show comes back from commercial Frankie & Jonnie Perez are in the ring for the match while Sammy Bach has joined the commentary to add his insights to the match.

Frankie Perez vs Jonnie Perez

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Frankie%20Perez_zpswestdc2h.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Jonnie%20Perez_zps0btmgiw4.jpg

  • There is some reluctance in the opening moments of the match, but once things get going it's clear that neither are holding back.

  • For his part Bach puts over Jonnie on commentary as a tough opponent and points out that Frankie can't afford to take him lightly or let up if he wants to win.

  • Despite being brothers, the contrast in styles is apparent as Frankie uses his Japanese influenced striking while Jonnie counters with high risk high flying.

  • The match is back and forth and high paced, but the finish comes when Jonnie goes to the top rope, but Frankie counters with a forearm and hoists him up for the Perfect Parity (Muscle-buster) which gets the win.

Frankie Perez defeated Jonnie Perez in 16:12 via Pinfall (B)

Frankie briefly celebrates before checking on Jonnie post-match, eventually helping his brother to his feet and walking with him to the back as Sammy Bach leaves commentary and heads to the ring for his match.

Sammy Bach vs California Love Machine

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/Sammy%20Bach_T4_alt1_zpsoyf9ax5m.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/90e0cd66-f3b2-48bb-9814-4056f058202d_zpsltdmvii2.jpghttp://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/CZCW/California%20Love%20Machine_zpslbq9ttan.jpg

  • The crowd are hot for this from the get go as Sammy and CLM go right to the action.

  • CLM has been primarily a tag team worker in CZCW, but this proves a great opportunity to showcase his skills in one on one action as he is able to take Bach off his game and showcase his skills.

  • Bach eventually takes control and goes for the Adrenaline Shot (Top Rope Flipping Neckbreaker), but CLM is able to duck it and get a rolling cradle that nearly gets the upset.

  • CLM goes up to the top rope for a high risk move, but Bach cuts him off with a corner Enzuigiri.

  • Bach goes for a top rope hurricanrana, but CLM holds on and Bach crashes and burns! CLM is on his feet for the LAX Departure (Shooting Star Leg Drop), but Bach rolls out of the way and immediately locks in the Bach on your Bach (Bodylock Inverted Sleeper) on California Love Machine!

  • CLM struggles, but Bach has it sunk in and forces the tapout.

Sammy Bach defeated California Love Machine via Submission in 19:10 (B)

Bach celebrates in the ring and motions for the belt as the announcers hype up the PPV one last time before the show goes off the air.

Prediction Scores:

CobheadJake: 4/7

Got all the ones you predicted aside from the Buddy/Samoans vs Oleg/Rich&Famous match; which was a bit of a pick'em given the nature of the multiman.

MisterRomani: 3.5/7

I'll give you half credit for Jonnie since he was a special opponent, just in a different match.

TheCoolestJedi12: 2/7

Toxin is indeed getting a push (I mean he did beat and unmask Acid), but tonight's match was really more of an angle to set up Acid's return.
