I've just put version 4 up in the first post (along with the updated pictures).

 

This weekend I am taking a break from RWC as I really want to work on Diablo X for a bit. Hopefully the current version is playable and can keep people entertained for a little while until I resume work on it.

First off, thanks for your effort and the new version. Looks pretty nice already.

 

However, I noticed that KENTA is set to return from injury in 1 week. The last thing I have heard however is that there is no definite time slot for his in-ring return so you should probably set his injury time a little bit higher.

I don't know if this has been fixed in v4 or not, but less than a month into my TNA game I've turned a profit of $1.1mil and I've been getting a crowd of 3000 for every Impact. They need some serious nerfs.

TNA is close to impossible... Well, not impossible, but very darn hard.

Their US PPV provider, expects an 89 rating for events. Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

And this leads to a question why TNA is still a cult sized?!?

To maintain a PPV deal, while they in reality have like 2 PPV per year (I don't count those One Night Only) and even all matches from those two PPV then are shown on TV anyway in full length!?!

In my opinion their strategy should be set as at least TV Oriented or even Entirily TV (I would vote for the latest)!

And another thing is that POP network should be set as Free-To-Air (I would say allmost all networks except USA Network should be too in USA), because TNA was booted from Destenation America not because station thought that ratings were low, but because they couldn't sell adds and the same thing is now with POP and it looks like they soon will be booted from POP too - story short - it almost impossible to sell adds on wrestling product if you are not WWE + it will will solve the problem that TNA is making tons of money, because it will cut their tv revenue!

So POP is ad free and you don't need to pay a cable bill to watch it? That's what free to air is. Also I'm not changing TNA to regional so people should just stop asking why they are still cult. They are popular in other countries. the USA isn't the beginning and the end for all wrestling. If you want TNA regional in your game then simply change them in the editor. I'll change their model to TV as it seems more in line with their current vision.

NO! TEW isn't a tv station simulator, but a wrestling booking simulator, so it doesn't really matter if POP is add free or not or if you should pay for a cable to see them or not! Only what matter in TEW terms is if wrestling promotion earns money by putting up their product on tv network or not!

This is a bit off topic, but when it comes to the Event and TV Station Logos, do you plan on using the background that companies and TV shows use?

I'm not sure how to respond to such wonderfully flawed logic... it's a wrestling simulator so delete all locations as it isn't Google maps... it's a wrestling simulator not Theme Hospital so delete all the injuries. Its s wrestling simulator not the world census so delete all names. Suggest you go and make your own data set because this isnt for you kid. That's the last I'll be acknowledging of you. No problem at all. I actually don't have the game open to check what its set as. And I was unsure of how of the Pop networks since I don't get it. Honestly, a lot of these networks are going to be rather subjective to set up. I've been tweaking in some mods and its harder to figure out that one might expect. If its not a pure free to air like PBS.... If they do run ads to make money but they don't pay the promotion for content, which does that fall under? You can't use Broadcaster Changes to switch them later, either.

 

Having them as Free to Air probably makes it harder for TNA as there won't be money coming again. But again, it is probably more realistic.

He's called Mohammed Yone in your database, but I named my picture Mohammad Yone, which means he doesn't link up to the NOAH worker. We're both wrong Fleisch: it's Muhammad Yone according to Wikipedia.

 

And for some reason, the Maybach Taniguchi cut doesn't match up either.

 

Edit: Also, YAMATO and Hiroshi Yamato have the same picture but they aren't the same person. I'll cut Hiroshi Yamato for you by the end of the day hopefully. Seiya Sanada needs removing from GFW and W-1, he only works for NJPW now.

I don't think its so much that people don't understand. But rather some broadcasters aren't absolutely and clearly one thing. A PBS-type broadcaster is very clear, but even some public broadcasters still run some ads. Something like Pop isn't clear at al. Yes, they make money by selling advertising. Which makes them Commercial. But they also aren't paying the wrestling company for the content. Which makes them fit Free to Air in function in the game. In game, the difference isn't small. A free to air broadcaster won't pay for a show. A Commercial broadcaster will. So if they are set to Commercial, that can make a notable difference to how TNA will do. Its a matter of what the mod-maker decides matters more - the actual way the broadcaster is setup or the way they are currently functioning in the wrestling world.

Not exactly. Hulu Plus for example. Tiered subscription so you pay one price and have to watch ads and pay a higher price to avoid them. HBO and Showtime are broadcasters as well and they don't have ads (except for their own shows and only between shows).

 

 

But Fleisch, I have to give you lots of credit. I'm still playing 3.0 but man, I love how you leveraged the loyalty mechanic and combined it with XPPA contracts. That literally makes workers unstealable. It's basically a written contract that you can cancel at any time for no cost. I saw it first when I attempted to raid Stardom and it fits Japan SO well.

 

So, for folks who haven't figured it out yet, you can sign workers who are loyal to your promotion to exclusive PPA contracts and they'll never leave. When someone tries to sign them (to ANY kind of deal), they'll say:

Problem with this is that TNA not getting paid by Pop TV were just rumors back in November of last year. In January, it was reported that TNA DOES receive rights fees.

 

The real issue with simulating TNA in the game is that Pop TV is available in 74 million homes, but not many people actually watch the channel, and there's not really a definitive way to simulate that in game.

I could say that POP are not Pro on having wrestling on their network (apparently that affects how much they give the company? I don't know - I'm just experimenting here).</p><p> </p><p>

Simming TNA in TEW is a near impossibility without having to do things that mess up the rest of the game world, something i'm not willing to do for WWE so I'll be damned if I'll do it for TNA. I will have one more attempt (it involves them being less over in the USA than UK/Europe - which they are if we're honest). If that doesn't work then people will just have to deal with the fact that TNA are not going to be losing money like in real life every month.</p><p> </p><p>

Either way, I'm not spending any more time on TNA after today as I want to work on different mods.</p>
