Australia has the different problem of distance meaning people only really know their own local scene. People have heard of riot city, mcw, pwa, pwWA etc but most of the time don't have any in depth knowledge of the guys. Although those Osprey matches mean people probably know Ryan Eagles and Adam Brooks . If u don't check out those matches on the net because they are as good as most any high flying matches as you will ever see. Osprey is a beast.</p>

I always take the week after a database release (RWC) off of working on TEW at all so will probably do some more of it next Monday after work.</p><p> </p><p> The Jolly Roger Wrestling promotion is complete. They don't fight for a belt, they fight for the Black Pearl (Pirates of the Caribbean ship). Seems a better "reward" for pirates. May also do a yearly tournament in which the winner gets a treasure chest filled with... well... treasure.</p>

Their super ultra final match was today so it was best holding off until today anyways. Kanda red box'd Susumu and then got announced as Yasushi Kanda so it's a safe bet that they'll all go back to their original ring names (or as original as Susumu can get since he lost his original name to Mochizuki years back ¬_¬)

Broke my own "1 week off" rule. There's an update with everything mentioned since release fixed (I think) as well as the change to CHIKARA in which Ophidian is no longer Ophidian, and The Whisper is now Ophidian... meaning Ophidian is now Ouroboros. I do not have a picture of the new mask for Ouroboros (well I do, just not on the wrestler) so have used a previous Ophidian designed mask for now... Plus the picture pack has been updated.

 

Obviously you don't have to download the newer data - it's just I'd done it all so thought I'd upload it in case those who have yet to start a new game with it wanted it.

 

I have some ideas I'm going to try to implement over the next couple of months that hopefully will be done in time for January which is why I decided to get these quick fixes/updates done now.

Once WCPW started to rebrand they would have searched for a trademark with the name or variants thereof. Defy may not have registered that because that costs money. Once WCPW found out about any conflict they probably had already gone through a lot of effort rebranding at some expense. I wouldn't automatically label them scummy because if they did all the standard legal things and a small indy on another continent has a similar name it may simply be a case oof bad luck</p>

In all fairness, a bit of research will show whether the company who run DEFY hold the trademark for DEFY. It seems to me like a small promotion trying to get noticed internationally. It's about as relevant as WWE & WCW both having "World" in their names.

 

Either way though, neither promotion is getting into the data any time soon so for this thread it is a moot point.

Fleisch, you are simply amazing. Thank you so much for your continuous work and efforts of keeping this mod going! Even if I lose interest in TEW sometimes, you keep me coming back, wanting to play this great mod. So thanks for that and all the hours of joy and entertainment you allow us.

 

A few WWE notes I've spotted while going through it (very rough though):

 

- Bobby Roode should be a Babyface, as he is on Smackdown, 'cause Vince thinks his music isn't "heelish" enough (Yep, THAT is the reason...)

 

- Sheamus & Cesaro are teaming quite successful and showing great chemistry over month now, so maybe you could up their Experience from "low" to "medium"

 

- Enzo should probably be turned to Heel. I don't know if he is a full on one right now, but he seems to act pretty heelish and get's a lot of negative reactions by the crowd

 

- It seems like Booker T has replaced David Otunga on RAW on a permanent base.

 

- Great Khali isn't signed with WWE, his appearance in India was a one-night deal.

 

- Charlotte Flair has a heel gimmick although she is Babyface.

 

- Maria Kanellis, as well as Maryse, is expecting a baby and therefore set to be out for a few month. Originally, Mike Kanellis was set to be absent as well, but then appeared on the last Smackdown, so I'm not quite sure about that one.

<p>Not sure how you rate the stat, but I think Tyler Bate needs a massive bump in Puroresu. His style is very puro-like (from the feats of Endurance, strong strikes, dangerous bumps, even strike exchanges etc), and he's fantastic at it. I think he's better at the style than Roddy Strong who has 78 or CM Punk with 63. Like I said, i'm not sure how you rate the top row stats in particular, but food for thought</p><p> </p><p>

Taguchi and Ricochet should be a tag team, called Funky Future.</p><p>

Golden Lovers should be an inactive unit.</p><p>

Tanahashi should have one title defense.</p><p>

I'd argue that Okada's Psychology should be improved. I'd argue he's the best storyteller in the world, 2nd to maybe only Tanahashi.</p><p>

Tanahashi should be set to work through an injury (tore his bicep irl, has been working through it for months)</p><p>

LIJs correct name is Los Ingobernables de Japon, not Los Ingobernables del Japón</p><p> </p><p>

EDIT 2: Just remembered as it's happened on my NJPW save; is there anyway to curb DG? I relish the challenge, but on saves where I'm not NJPW, people like Okada and Naito always go to DG, because DG are able to offer them like $60,000 per week exclusive deals. Would changing the owner settings fix that?</p>

Would changing the owner settings fix that?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Most NJPW, and Japanese in general, wrestlers should probably have loyalty. e.g. Okada and Tana are extremely unlikely to ever leave NJPW while guys like CIMA and Mochizuki are unlikely to leave DG. Even someone like Sekimoto could have loyalty to BJW so he doesn't leave them unless his PPA runs out</p>
