The EffVerse [Hype Thread]

I'm finally doing it; I'm making my own universe mod.

 

This will be along the same lines as the CVerse and TVerse; a completely fictional universe that will hopefully be a fun play.

 

To clarify, this mod will be different than my 1920 Organic EffVerse and EffVerse: Not Ready for Prime Time mods. Those mods are going to be rebranded as Effganic since at their core they are organic mods.

 

As it stands, I am the lead creator of this mod with many others pitching in when they can. Needless to say, this mod will probably be a little smaller to start out with. I'm thinking between 1,000 and 1,200 workers. However, that can change if I end up getting a team in place. One thing that could certainly contribute to an increased size, would be additional renders. So if any of you out there have some renders you would like to donate to the mod, I would certainly appreciate it. My only request would be that they are not CVerse or TVerse renders for obvious reasons.

 

Also, if anyone has any logos they would like to donate, that too would be appreciated. Credit will be given, of course.

 

I do plan for the entire world to be open in the game to allow for just about every play style.

 

So yeah, that is it. I'll be posting updates in here and also little 'games' every once in a while for those who would like to help add to creative.

I'm happy to announce that after putting in 400+ characters, the Effverse is now accepting character submissions.

 

• Feel free to submit as many characters as you want, including tag teams.
   
  
• You can use as many skill points as you want for each character, all I ask is that you try to keep it realistic.
   
  
• Give me a brief visual description of the character, but note that the image they end up with may not match 100%
   
  
• Do not tie them to a promotion. This is something that we will handle in balancing the mod as some rosters are already full. If you feel the character must be tied to a promotion, please speak with me via PM and we can discuss.
   
  
• Bios will be slightly adjusted to fit into the Effverse.
   
  
• Skills will likely be adjusted as we balance the game.
   
  
• Please do not submit a character that you've submitted for another mod or that is already part of another mod.
   
  
• Creation of Dojos will be accepted in very rare and limited situations if needed for character creation. You must discuss this with me in advance via PM.

This is how it works. I'll put up a select number of images for the mod for people to select on a first come, first serve basis. Use the image and create a character based on the information below (stolen from Asaemon's RRA thread as I think the numbers are perfect).

 

To claim an image, reply to the thread with the image and character name included. So long as you do this, you will have the rights to that image for 24 hours. You can then edit your post with your full character profile.

 

Once created, I will add the workers to the game. For right now, consider them free agents. However, I may put them in promotions if I think they are a fit. I may also tweak bios to better fit in the world.

 

Follow the points listed below. This means that the total of your allocated points in your stats must be equal to or less than the limits below.

Bio: The Can Opener (So named for his propensity for 'Opening a Can of Whup Ass!') is a portly powerhouse billed from the Appalachian Mountains. While far from the most agile of competitors and not exactly possessing the 'look' that the big leagues are looking for in a figurehead, the Can Opener has a certain greasy backwoods charisma to compliment his brawling and slam-based offense. While the man himself is dedicated to his gimmick and keeping his strange character shrouded in kayfabe, some digging by internet fans has revealed that the man has several college degrees in history including and has written multiple papers on topics ranging from Napoleonic Warfare to Arthurian Legend.

Bio: Hoshino was homeless for the majority of his life. He grew up in back alleyways fighting to survive. A perfect example of his survival is the scar on his left cheek. Once he turned 18, he decided to try and get paid for his fights. He took part in a couple of MMA bouts, compiling a 3-0 record with 3 brutal knockouts. The wrestling world soon came calling. While Hoshino is still extremely green, no one can question his brawling skills, and the legitimate aura he exudes.
